Ram Trucks, stylized as RAM and formerly known as the Ram Truck Division, is an American brand of light to mid-weight commercial vehicles, and a division of Stellantis. It was established in a spin-off from Dodge in 2010 using the name of the Ram Pickup line of trucks.

Plumbers, handymen, and delivery guys are a discerning bunch—and the ProMaster aims to meet their needs. Choose from low, high, or extended roofs and 118-, 136-, or 159-inch wheelbases. Chassis and cutaway cabs are also available. The sole powertrain is a 280-hp 3.6-liter V-6 paired to a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. While its driving position may be a bit fussy and maneuverability is lacking over its competitors, the low load floor and great forward visibility may make up for both.

Product Reviews:

Purchased vehicle at dealership, good mileage, good condition in 11/2011 for $32,000+. We have always provided good maintenance to all of our vehicles. In 01/2015 due to an engine warning light, vehicle taken to dealership immediately. Thereafter, vehicle repeatedly taken for same problem. 3 months later and without a vehicle we're told manufacturer was involved to solve the problem. Few weeks later case manager indicated unable to correct mechanical problem and stated as matter of fact, the vehicle was already "old". We have vehicles older and still running good. How is it possible that the manufacturer is unable to provide technical assistance to their own dealership. Every time the dealership would call us to pick up the truck, we paid the bill and within 24 hours and on occasion, we could not even drive the vehicle out. After going back and forth, putting a lot of personal time to it, we sent a letter explaining our frustration, the poor customer care response, asking for a refund due to their lack of resolving the problems and finally sent a letter to their office in Auburn Hills, MI. We finally got a response on 03/2016 stating "After thoroughly reviewing your request and our files on this matter, we respectfully concur with our previous decision." I am not sure which decision they are referring to. Someone within the manufacturer technical assistance failed to solve our problem. If they cannot, who else can? We feel we should be paid for a product Chrysler Dodge Ram could not fix. My hard earned money cannot be a loss. I sincerely feel victimized by big corporate.

Just purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tate Dodge in Glen Burnie, MD 1 1/2 hrs away, 3 weeks ago. I started hearing a chirping noise at 5 mph on turns or driving straight after 4 days of purchasing. I took it to a closer Dodge dealer for inspection and they said truck has water damage . The technician says there is a lot of caked on mud, rust all the way in the bottom to top of vehicle. He explained that it shows signs of water damage. I explained this to Tate and they refused to refund me my money and no one has fixed the chirping sound.

Only about $16K miles my 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel 3.0L engine seized. Took it to the Dodge dealer, they are blaming me for that. Telling me I put water in the air box and engine seized! They are just trying to avoid the warranty. After researching, found out I am not the only one with the same issue. I guess the oil that was used for these engine causes the engine to seized between 10 to 20K miles. I am getting an Attorney at the moment to get a lawsuit going against Chrysler. Easy win...

Since we got the Ram Dodge 2007 1500 pickup in 2008 from the dealership, the 4 wheel drive truck will all of a sudden die when I hit some bumps on our dirt road where we live (I am not 4 wheeling either, I have kids in the car). This happens randomly. We have taken it in now for 3 times. First time, they said they saw that it happened on the computer. However, the second and third time, they said they didn’t see it and that it was because my key chain was too heavy. Since 2008, it has died while driving on my dirt road at least 8 times. I just pray it never does it on a bumpy road, on the freeway or highway. Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t take it to the dealership anymore because they say it is because of my keys. Well, I changed it so now it is light so it can’t be that.

My driver's side airbag deployed in my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 as I was driving down the road on Monday. I did not hit anything; it just deployed. I spoke to Chrysler and they told me that because my truck is 17 years old that they are not going to do anything. They are not even interested in finding out why it happened? I know that there are thousands of these trucks still on the road and I think that it is ** of them to not care because of the age of the vehicle. My truck is in great shape and is well taken care of and I am very disturbed with the experience that I just had with them. This may make me think twice before buying another Dodge.

So I bought a 2013 Ram 1500 last Sept. It's been a year now and I have had nothing but problems. After only owning it a week, it had an air leak in the cab. Next the cruise didn't work properly. Took them 2 visits to the shop to get the leak fixed - cruise to this day still won't work properly. Then it had trouble starting - took it in. Now they tell me it needs new fuel injectors. Took them 4 months to finally get them installed. Only because I called and called! Then my sat. radio stopped working and a few days later my radio just keeps turning on and off!! Also randomly my wipers stopped working. The paint is cracked on 2 spots - what's next? I bought this because I'm just starting out a new family and thought by getting new, I could count on no problems. What do I do next... Really want to get out of this truck and into something else!

Five Star Dodge Warner Robins - I brought my 14' Ram 1500 to their service dept 10 separate times to fix my cruise control. With every visit I was greeted as an inconvenience each time until the second to last where Jay who I perceived to have been helpful until I went for the last time. He told me I was square and would not be charged for the repairs due to 99% of the problems being due to lazy mechanics. I was charged $500+ to have the repairs accomplished. Hindsight I shouldn't have given them a dime but I wanted to be done with this dealership as soon as possible. You will have better luck going anywhere but here. I personally have a biased against Dodge in general after this experience and will probably go to another brand.

I owned a 98 Dodge Ram right off the showroom floor and before I gave it to my son, it only had two major issues. One was a recall for towing package, they had to weld an extra piece of metal to the trailer hitch. The other issue was, I am assuming the same as most other people that owned that year with the Dashboards that fell apart.I currently own a 2011 Cummins Turbo Diesel, that had the left tie rod recall, took the truck into my local dealership, oh and I bought from a privately owned dealership about 200 miles from where I live. The dealership I took it to for the recall didn't ask any questions or anything about doing the work. I bought this truck in July of this year and have already put over 5K miles on it and she's running like a dream. In my opinion, if you bought your truck for something other than work, then you bought the wrong thing. These are work trucks, built to be USED!!!! If you bought it for the NAV or the Phone or fancy Radio, then maybe you should have looked into buying something else for that price, like a Benz, BMW, Audi or Volvo. Just my opinion. Oh the 98, when I gave it to my son 9 months ago, had over 120K miles on it. The Cummins I traded my Challenger for and only paid 23K for it. Just because these vehicles have all that fancy stuff on them doesn't make them not be a Truck!

We have a Ram 3500 and we love it! We have gone over 300,000 miles in 3 years towing RVs all over the United States and Canada. It has been strong, comfortable, durable along with a great towing package and the price was right. My favorite feature is the 2 person dual control on the AC/heater temperature and the dual seat temperature control. But they could do away with oil changes and make tires that do not have to be replaced. Other than that, it has been very trustworthy and never caused us any problem except for routine maintenance.

I purchased a new Ram 2500 with a 6.4 liter V8. Truck is WAY overrated. First trans was replaced at 1700 miles. Still didn't shift correctly. I also had alignment issues. Long story short the rear end was crooked causing severe driveability concerns and severe over steering problems FCA could not and did not repair. This package is complete garbage. Stay away from the 6.4. My opinion is max tow capacity for that engine should be around 8500 lbs. This truck was eventually arbitrated and bought back from me with no help from FCA with only 4500 miles. LOST CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!! I was a loyal Dodge customer since 2010 having spent over $240,000 on their vehicles. I now own a new F250. Great job guys!!
