For every step forward Lexus took with its 2022 LX 600 redesign, the brand also seemingly took a step back. The flagship SUV arrives with a strong new powertrain, a better interior layout, and modern cabin technology. But the interior packaging is still compromised, the latest technology is a bit disjointed, and there’s a perplexing hiccup when it comes to towing. After spending a week living with, towing with, and hauling with the 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling, here’s where it hits and misses. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Hit: Modern technology Finally, the mouse is gone! The LX used an infotainment interface that predated everything else in Lexus’ lineup, and while it was actually better than the trackpad used elsewhere, it was far outdated. The 2022 LX sports a new infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen towering over a 7.0-inch climate control screen. The former features the automaker’s new touch interface, over-the-air update capabilities, and wireless Apple CarPlay along with wired Android Auto. It’s easier to use than the outdated and half-baked system it replaces. The lower touchscreen is dedicated to the climate control system and the status of the vehicle’s off-road systems’ status. It’s augmented by knobs, buttons, and switches for a refreshingly easy-to-use interface. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Miss: Disjointed technology However, the two touchscreens don’t appear to have the same resolution and the glossy interfaces feel like they were designed by different departments. They don’t match. The larger tablet-like upper screen isn’t integrated into the dashboard and looks like an afterthought. Despite the large size of the screen, it has no split-screen or multitasking capabilities. This is stuff found in the LX’s distant corporate cousin the Toyota Highlander. Apple CarPlay overtakes the entire screen at all times when in use. Just as annoying is the wireless smartphone charging pad on the center console that somehow loses its connection, constantly starting to charge then stopping, over and over again. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Miss: But why F Sport Handling? The F Sport Handling model sits in the middle of the LX lineup at $102,345, though my tester cost $105,005 due to the optional $2,660 Mark Levinson sound system. It’s a $6,000 premium over the Premium trim. For the money, it adds F Sport badges, trim-specific front and rear bumpers, perforated heated leather steering wheel, aluminum pedal covers, 22-inch wheels, and seating for seven (base models seat five, and Premium models require an option package to get the third row) trimmed in semi-aniline leather. The go comes in the form of a Torsen limited-slip rear differential and a sport-tuned suspension system. A few features such as the cool box (it’s a refrigerated cooler in the front center armrest) and ventilated second-row seats become standard. It feels like a weird model as a firmer sport suspension doesn’t make much sense in a large body-on-frame off-road SUV. It’s almost a rolling contradiction, but some drivers might like the added control of the stiffer suspension. I can’t make that call because I haven’t driven the other models. The Premium model costs $6,000 less and the Luxury trim costs $2,000 more. Both make more sense unless you really like the F Sport look. Most puzzling to me was the F Sport’s Hadori aluminum interior trim, which looks and feels like plastic. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Hit: Strong turbocharged powertrain The naturally aspirated V-8 known for its durability, reliability, and poor fuel economy is dead. Every LX is powered by a new twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 rated at 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Full-time four-wheel drive and a 2-speed transfer case come standard. At about 5,800 lb, the LX is no lightweight, but it sprints from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Lexus rates the LX to tow up to 8,000 lb. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling With about 5,000 lb of fiberglass walleye boat and a dual-axle trailer hooked to it, the LX had zero issues getting up to speed and had plenty of highway passing power. Shockingly, despite the lack of a tow mode or the ability to lock out any gears, the 10-speed automatic transmission was better behaved than the transmission in at least one heavy-duty pickup truck I’ve used to tow. I averaged 9.8 mpg on premium fuel while towing, which was 1.9 mpg more than the high-output twin-turbo V-6 in the Ford F-150 with the same load and route. Turbos huff and that drinks gas, but the LX’s powertrain acquitted itself quite well under load on all fronts. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Miss: Towing surprises While the truck towed well, hooking up the boat was a pain due to an odd surprise. Accessing the receiver is painful as the painted bumper cover requires two retaining clips—the kind typically used in fender liners—to be pried loose and pulled out with a flat-head screwdriver. Most vehicles use push-and-twist knobs that make this step simple, but not the Lexus. Then once the retaining clips are removed the cover itself is held in place with plastic tabs that snap into the bumper snugly. I was certain the cover was going to break when I removed it, though miraculously it didn’t. The 7-pin light hookup is mounted underneath the bumper as well, which required me to crawl on the ground (better hope it’s not wet or cold) to plug in the trailer lights. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Then came the surprise: Our standard hitch pin, which has been used with countless other vehicles and receivers for well over a decade, was too short. The hole for the cotter pin didn’t clear the receiver’s walls. Flabbergasted and in shock, I tested a second hitch pin. Same issue. Most pins are 3-3 3/4 inches in usable length, which is more than enough for a standard receiver. I ran to the fleet supply store and found what might be the world’s most expensive and overly fancy hitch pin with rubber comfort grips for $13.99 (hitch pins are typically about $3 or less). At 4 inches long, it fit. Eventually, I realized the reason the hitch pin didn’t work is the receiver is double walled with an air gap on the sides. It’s thicker and reinforced despite having a lower tow rating than other body-on-frame SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and Lincoln Navigator. Lexus hasn’t been able to provide a reason or logic behind this design despite my multiple inquiries. The last-generation Toyota Land Cruiser doesn’t have this design. It’s new and the automaker can’t explain why, but in the end it turned out to be a $14 problem. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Hit: Right size The Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator have grown huge over the years. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is massive. These things barely fit in some garages. The LX continues to maintain its size at a smidge over 200 inches long with three-rows of seats (except base models, which feature two rows and seating for five). That’s nearly a foot shorter than the Americans, and it fits between the short- and long-wheelbase versions of the new Range Rover. It’s easier to park at the grocery store and place in a garage, and it’s less of a handful while driving around town than the larger competition. 2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling2022 Lexus LX 600 F Sport Handling Miss: Compromised packaging Not growing has its disadvantages, too. The third row now folds flat into the floor, which is a great thing for cargo hauling, but it’s still rather uncomfortable due to a low seating position and little usable leg room. With the third-row up, there’s barely any cargo space, perhaps enough to hold a small backpack or two. The larger competition will be better for family road trips with more than five passengers. For those seeking an Escalade or Range Rover alternative with far more reliability, the 2022 Lexus LX 600 finally feels modern. But, outside of expected reliability, it’s hard to imagine choosing the LX over the latest Range Rover, and those who plan to tow should be sure to have a 4-inch hitch pin on hand. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––2022 Lexus 600 F S Sport Handling Base price: $88,245, including $1,345 destinationPrice as tested: $105,005Powertrain: 409-hp 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, 10-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel driveEPA fuel economy: 17/22/19 mpgThe hits: Modern technology, strong twin-turbo V-6, easy size to live withThe misses: Disjointed technology experience, towing oddities, compromised third-row packaging

My 2008 Lexus Rx-350, the dashboard were cracking and its just only 40,000 miles. And also some of the cosmetic area are started chipping like two side mirror was cracking (clear coated paint) and also the tail back handle has already chipping (clear coat paint) and every time I car wash, the sunroof has also leaking water. But the engine performance were like top of the line. (Acceleration, steering easy to handle - were excellent.)

I have a Lexus GS 300 2006 with less than 100k miles. I took my car to Westminster Lexus about 6 months ago because of stalling and poor acceleration. The service dept stated that they would put my car on a machine to see what was wrong with it. They called me back and said the machine didnt indicate any problems. But they changed a few filters and said that should correct the problem. Needless to say, that did not correct the problem and the car is still doing the same thing. When I took the car in, they charged me $75 to run the test plus the cost of the filters. Now, I called them back and told them that I am having the same problem and I need to bring it back and wanted to know if I would be charged again. The gentlemen on the phone said I would be charged again and there was nothing they could do about it at all. So now, I need to take the car back, pay again and there is no guarantee they are going to fix it. I’m very angry about this.

I have a 2005 ES330 car that is certified pre-owned. It has defective back windows that wont go up or down. Its CD player is broken. Theres condensation in headlights. I have had the back windows repaired 3 times. On the 4th visit, they finally replaced the motors, which corrected the problem. I had wasted 3 trips to Lexus, time off from work and finally the issue is resolved. However, now the tint has come off of the back right window. It is apparent, the trouble with the windows being taken out and repaired 4 times has caused this. The CD player has been in for repair also, along with the windows. The CD player is broken, the cover wont open, and will not play. I have been informed by the Lexus Corp. that due to the car being out of warranty, they will not repair it. My argument is the car has been in the service department for the same repairs 3 times, which has never been property fixed. After reading these reviews, I dont think I will ever buy a Lexus again. They have become the Ford of the Japaneese. The dealership, Lexus of Tampa Bay, is a joke. The main headquarters for Lexus is a joke. They both refer me to the other one. I am done. No more Lexus cars. My dream car, that I am still paying for, wont allow me to listen to my CDs. I cant see out of the back right window, and I have been made to feel like I am the scum of the earth by Lexus. Why didnt you treat me this way when I was buying one? I just got two letters from Lexus of Tampa Bay asking me to trade mine in and get a newer one.No thanks, I got suckered by the hype the first time, are they kidding? What a Lousy Lexus Experience!

My Ls has been in Lexus dealer since Dec 5 2016. Today is January 13th 2017 and I have yet to receive my car back. The vehicle needs a new navigation hard drive. I have third party warranty which covered the repair ($1400 part + labor). Prior to getting the warranty I bought new front end suspension parts for the vehicle. ($5,000+ air struts, upper and lower control arms and hardware, sway links etc all Lexus parts all out of pocket expense) I have all receipts for the repairs done and parts bought. My Vehicle had no issue or problems beside the navi when I brought it in for service. My vehicle was dropped off at Lexus on Dec 5 for the hard drive issue and still have yet to be fixed. I received the car back on Dec 27th only because I needed the vehicle for the new year as my loaner was way too small to fit my family in. Is300. (My car was 3 weeks sitting in the dealer parking lot doing nothing but waiting for parts). When I picked it up on the 27th driving back home from the dealer, CHECK HYBRID illuminated. I panicked. I pulled over and called the dealer. No answer. They were closed already. I didnt have this issue before bringing it to the dealer. I didnt worry too much because repairs still wasnt completed and maybe thats what caused the issue so continued on my way home. No problem. My Vehicle was returned on Monday (January 2nd) first thing to complete repair and the battery was diagnosed. Trouble code PA080 hybrid battery failure. Lexus wants $7,800+ to replace battery and my third party warranty covers all hybrid components except hybrid battery. My advisor informed me that I just missed the hybrid warranty period. 8 years/100k. I was informed that the vehicle will not drive for long and will leave me stranded somewhere down the road eventually if I continue to drive it.I travel from Massachusetts to New York often and cannot take that big of a risk. So I Filed a complaint about the battery as well as poor service. Manager Diane ** contacted me 24 hrs later saying she will make the contact with my dealer to see what can be done and speak with her manager. Communication was absolutely horrible. I had to call corporate multiple times just to get a reply. Diane never called me when she said she would. So I called again and they said Oh she left a message for you saying that your dealer will contact you today with a resolution. (One week later) She says Lexus corporate offers me a $300 credit for the inconvenience. I said What? Thats horrible. I drive a Ls600hL. Theres nothing I can get done or buy with that. I took the offer. Only because they wouldnt offer any further assistance. Something was better than nothing. As far as the hybrid battery, I asked her again what can Lexus do about this? She pretended as if this was a new story I was giving her. As if I didnt discuss it before with her. When The initial complaint was filed, it was regarding the hybrid battery. She says she will get back to me. Today Jan 13 2017. Corporate calls me and says they denied my claim for the hybrid battery and wont assist me on it. I have owned a Ls430, Ls460, and now a Ls600hL. Lexus top flagship. Never thought I would get service like this with Lexus. And its sad to say but this will be my Last and FINALE LEXUS.I will not support a company that cannot support the customers. I stood behind you for a number of years and never asked for a thing. Now when I need assistance you send me to hell. I will continue to share this wherever I can so all long term Lexus customers will know that Lexus isnt Lexus no more. So be prepared for anything. I no longer see reliability with Lexus. Thanks for showing me real customer service Lexus!

My 2006 IS 250s dashboard and door panels seem to be melting - they began to shed a couple of years ago and now look awful. Also, the check engine and Check VSC light are on. I took it to Lexus of North Miami where they changed a sensor for $ 500 - that did not fix the problem. Brought it back thinking there was a warranty in their work, and they told me I needed a whole new Catalyst System, a $ 2,000.00 job. Took it down to a friends shop and he told me that they should have known that was the problem to begin with. First degree fraud is what I call that. Cant trust these Lexus dealers. One says one thing, the other says another thing, and in the end, the customer gets punished. I wont be buying a Lexus ever again (Pity because the car looks nice).

Had to replace my windshield for the 2017 RX350. It has been two weeks today. Giving various reasons for the delay and informed that it will be another 6 days, since the windshield is on back order. Shocked to find out that a Company like Lexus manufactures cars with various computerized options that are in the windshield and not produce extra windshield. Building about 1000 cars a day, can we not produce a few extra windshields. After all windshields crack often. Feeling frustrated. Looked at a Caddy. Maybe American made is better. But that is hindsight.

You can tell what year each one is from the back lights. Same style made for so many years. It sold cause it is very nice. It has different sensors and buttons for your passenger. I have a 2008 Lexus is250, Im original owner - 36,000 miles on car & Navigation System stopped working? I have not been to the dealership yet because I wanted to do my research before talking with them. This has been talked about & an issue since 2010! Why has there been no recall? I found out that all dealerships can do a certain amount of free repairs at their discretion! With the low miles, the fact that its a known problem & I cant control my heater or air conditioner without it, making it hazardous if I need immediate window defrosting & that I will take all my info in front of a judge, hopefully they do us both a favor & just fix it for free! Has anyone else taken Lexus to small claims court? I guess I may be the first??? I can print out at least 500 complaints about issues with the Navigation System failing!!! Why hasnt Lexus done anything about this??? Theres a FB page dedicated to Why hasnt Lexus recalled their Nav System yet!!! Ill update as I move along in this process.

Very easy and enjoyable experience. Lexus is a brand name that you can trust. They always have the newest safety features and all models that youve seen on TV or while driving your previous vehicle. And the cars are durable! These cars are beautiful. The bodies are sleek, yet built to stand any kind of unexpected damage. These vehicles always seat as comfortably as you would assume. If you have children, rest assured they will be safe and have enough room to stretch out in the back seat area. You can also count on this company to offer as many upgrades as they have readily available. If not, theyll add them to the model of your choice. Theyre the newest and most needed upgrades.

Lexus GX460 is a great vehicle, a true SUV. The only negative is poor gas mileage coupled with a small gas tank; so many gas stops on long trips. Nevertheless, perfect size for four adults. Billed as a 7 passenger, not even close unless 3 of those are small children and you don’t have any luggage or bags of any size. With 4 adults you do have enough cargo room for 2 adults and 2-3 children.

We have owned three Lexus products over the years they have been in the US. The cars are great but the corporate culture has deteriorated greatly. The present CEO and the person in charge of Customer service are not at all qualified for their jobs and they have given Lexus a bad name for customer service. The corporate offices have literally no control over the dealers if there are issues, selling cars is all that matters, not customer service. If you have an issue that the dealer refuses to take care of, the infrastructure Lexus created at corporate is so pathetic you will only be frustrated trying to get any closure.

Have a Lexus GS300-2006 with 114K. It is now burning 1 quart every 1000 miles. Lexus Customer Service assures me this is normal, they even have it in the manual! It is normal for even 1 qt. every 600 miles according to Customer Service Rep! Unbelievable! My car is also starting misfiring, has carbon buildup. Lexus says, too bad, you are out of warranty and they will not help. I thought I had bought a great car and have had the car in for all services and oil changes. Meant nothing to Lexus. I bought this car certified and have babied it. To make an engine that is having this problems at 114k shows it is a horrible car. Repairs would cost over 8k. Never buy a Lexus. Their engines are build to fall apart. I would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit.

The appearance of the cars would be defined as beautiful and makes you fall in love. They all have their own unique look. The car is very nice, they have a wonderful shade of color. Because of this they look more beautiful than they really are. It has love and adventure written all over it. If I had a family we would go everywhere in that car. Thanks for the car. The outside of the car looks great with sharp lines while the inside is great with leather interior, CD player, air conditioning, and bucket seats. It also has good headlights, heated seats, interior lighting, and new tires. The passenger capacity is great. It can fit 2 in front and 3 in back with a lot of leg room.

Lexus IS 250 and ES 300 - Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX is top notch! Ive quality service and experienced nothing but professionalism. After driving my Lexus for several years and loving the service Sewell has provided we decided to buy our teenage daughter an older year model Lexus. Sadly I sold my Lexus when the odometer rolled to 120K miles. I decided to go with Toyota to save money, and since they are essentially the same car... what a disappointing mistake. The service I have received at Toyota of Dallas has been disappointing. I dont have horror stories (luckily) but I became spoiled by Sewell. Im on a car hunt again and will only buy Lexus. The Lexus purchased for our daughter has 215K miles and is still going strong! Lexus is the only way to go!

I bought this Lexus 2.5 years ago. About a year in and about 95,000 miles once or twice it ran rough at a stop sign for about 3 seconds and corrected itself (thought it was a bit of bad gas). I looked online and saw a post about this possibly being an issue. I also found in the glove box a page from Lexus saying they will take care of this even though it is not a recall. So, I took it to Sacramento Lexus. They said they would validate the issue, order parts, and give me a loaner vehicle. Well, they sure did. They took care of it completely! Obviously out of warranty and fully covered. They even offered to do any other repairs they find while doing the repair at the cost of the part cost only. I was truly amazed at the depth they would take care of a used vehicle not bought from that dealer, out of warranty, and the issue almost never happened that I was aware of. Above and beyond to say the least. Very impressed with Lexus and that dealer.

I took it in 4 times to the dealer in Fife, WA and duplicated the problem with the service manager. They reset-updated the computer on the transmission 3 times. But I still have the same problem. I wanted the problem taken care of before the warranty expired. The service manager told me that they could not fix it and would not replace the transmissions computer.I have had two other Lexus. I purchased my 2919 RX450H in December of 2019 off the showroom floor with 250 miles. The first year of having my car, my car shut down on me two times. Both times I was on my way to a patients home. While in route to my clients home I started receiving Hybrid System Malfunction warnings, Pre-Collision Malfunction and Check Engine, immediately after that I received a warning to pull over to a safe place immediately and within .03 miles it automatically shut off without me being able to pull over to a safe place. By the second time, I went into the dealership and I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland about the car being very unsafe for me to drive because I never know when it’s going to just shut down on me and that I would like for Lexus to give me another car exactly like mine. I informed him the only reason I chose Lexus over the other high end cars was due to its safety history. He informed me that the dealership aren’t able to mark my car as a lemon write off only Lexus corporation have the legal right to do that. I contacted Lexus corporation. Filled out all the required paperwork along with the service that had been performed on my vehicle due to my shutting off while driving. I later received a letter stating they reviewed my case. Could not mark my car as a lemon. I’m here to say that my car just shut down on me again for the 3rd time for the exact same reason with only 20k miles on it!! I spoke to the GM at the Lexus dealership in Orland again informing him how upset I am and this is unacceptable and how I can’t believe Lexus isn’t standing behind their brand considering how they brag as being ranked as one of the safest cars on the road! Lexus doesn’t stand by their name and don’t care about their customers safety!! I do not recommend Lexus to anyone if this is how they stand behind their brand!!! I feel like Lexus IS saying “you’re on your own and deal with it”!

I was driving my 2007 Lexus RX 400h when I turned into the parking lot (from a stopped position) and proceeded at very slow speed when I inadvertently bumped the curb, upon entering the parking lot the Power Steering Light came on and no longer able to steer the car. I had to get towed all the way back to home. There wasnt even a scratch on the car and yet the entire safe steering ability was rendered inoperable. I have been looking online and I see that there are many other victims of what seems to me to be a major design flaw and a terribly unsafe condition. I brought it to the attention of Lexus and they decline to fix it or help address this problem in anyway and I am stuck with an $1100.00. It seems to me you would have a reasonable expectation of a solid construction in an SUV and not something that is so precariously frail.

I am the owner of two Lexus vehicles. I am investing my time to inform you of my feelings towards Lexus; as the respect, integrity and trust, which I have so highly esteemed about Lexus, has been compromised. This time the 2007 Lexus ES 350 with just 34,000 miles encountered a problem with the passenger window as it would no longer function properly. What I learned is that the window mechanism is so cheaply made that the plastic parts just broke apart. This design flaw resulted in a five hundred dollar plus repair bill that stole hard-earned dollars from other priorities my family has at this time. When I needed to truly rely upon Lexus reliability during challenging economic times, you let me and my family down. What is concerning is the fact the other three windows will certainly face the same catastrophic failure. (And surprisingly, considering the fact that the windows are hardly ever used as the Florida heat makes the AC priority one). The bottom line is this: Why would I ever buy another Lexus product when price and value are so far apart? Please let me know how you may be able to help given the aforementioned situation that my family and I currently find ourselves in.Lexus Service Specialists phone reply: As you did not visit our service department and took your car to a private repair facility, you voided your warranty. My car was well out of warranty, but they said that the CPO (certified pre-owned) Warranty would have covered this had I gone to the dealer. Well actually, the CPO would not cover a window repair; but the Service Specialists... they would have helped if I would have asked. Wow, with my other Lexus which had several service issues, the dealership was very specific that the warranty did not cover my problem and all costs would be borne by me. It is so sad to be witnessing the demise of the famed Lexus brand name. My friends and neighbors, who also own Lexus products, have also commented never again when asked if they would purchase another Lexus, as their own experiences have been much worse than mine… so sad.

The Lexus vehicles look very professional and you can tell they were made the highest quality materials in the market. The advanced technology features are a big plus that this brand comes with. Theres the ones made for families and ones made per individual use of a specific person to use. Depending on your lifestyle, the brand offers what consumers would need the most. It does not provide a lot of passenger capacity but it makes up that with other features that the brand offers in its vehicles overall. I would not advise big families to choose this brand but it is still good. Im also basically satisfied with the amount of personalization allowed for this brand of vehicle. Just about anything you can imagine changing, this brand allows it to happen easily.

The IS 250 is a great ride that drives well making even those who dont love driving enjoy it. I love the way this car corners. We test drove the gs and es models as well, but they really felt too sedan for me. The SUV model rs was a disappointment altogether. The SUV has a nice passenger capacity. We however were looking for a sportier vehicle that still had room for a family of four. The IS model has just that. However, our two teens dont feel there is enough legroom in the back for them. But Im in love with my car. The smallest interior details really set this luxury line apart from others. The wood used is gorgeous and held up well. These details really add to the cars comfort. I also like the upgrade rims. They are stunning and add just the right amount of bling and luxe to the car. Other upgrades include navigation which we passed on.

In 2008, we purchased a new 2008 RX-350 from a Portland area Lexus. Prior to purchasing the vehicle we spent months researching the Lexus brand, reliability and customer satisfaction. We are over 3 hours away from the closest Lexus dealer. Having heard and read mostly good reviews, we opted to purchase the vehicle described. We have taken excellent care of the vehicle and all of our maintenance has been maintained current by our only local Lexus family Toyota dealership in our area. The vehicle has never been in an accident. Seven years later we have had several unexpected repairs required to keep the vehicle running. First was the NOC sensor (slightly under $1000). Second was the rack and pinion (slightly over $1000). And the latest was a transmission replacement. The vehicle is just outside the powertrain warranty. The total costs of these repairs has been over $7200. Even the local Toyota service representative said this should not happen with this car.I have contacted the Lexus goodwill assistance number and they agreed to pay for the parts for the latest repair. While that is good of them, it is my opinion that the loyalty of Lexus belongs to their company rather than their customers and they certainly choose not to stand behind their luxury product. It is disappointing Lexus does not show the same loyalty to its customers when excessive repairs are required to what should have been a more reliable vehicle. I would like others to be aware of the Lexus quality of service and loyalty and recommend that you buy a car from Honda/Acura whom we have had excellent service from and been shown truly good loyalty and certainly stand behind their product.

Turned in my leased 2014 GS350 three months early to a dealer in Idaho on 10 June 2016. I leased the vehicle in California. I paid my three months of payments and was told by the dealer that the car was in excellent shape. Two months later, I receive a bill from Lexus Financial requiring that I pay over $230 for excess wear and use. When I called them about it, they claim that the front bumper was cracked and they have posted a picture of it on an internet website. The picture was taken 5 days after I turned the car in to the dealer. I told three different customer service reps that there was no crack when I left the car at the dealership. They dont care. Lexus Financial is requiring full payment, as the last customer service rep told me that my contract states that I am responsible for damage occurring to the vehicle AFTER I turn it in.I called customer service at Lexus Corporate and complained. That representative took my information and placed it in my file, which she said she would do nothing with... which left me appalled. She asked me what I expected her to do with the complaint so I told her that I would expect that Lexus would care enough about a customer who, prior to this issue, was ecstatic about their Lexus experience to reach out and remedy the situation to the customers complete satisfaction. Apparently, they dont do that. It is sad, because the experience I had with Newport Lexus and Riverside Lexus is now being spoiled forever by Lexus Financial over $230. If they do nothing about it, they are surely a stupid company.

Mr. David **, of Bell Lexus Service, Phoenix, AZ told me that this has been a known problem. I think this is a defective material issue that should have been disclosed before I purchased the Lexus, as I would not have purchased a car that I use for business that absorbed fabric dye from dark pants, skirts, etc. I expected better quality; especially from Lexus! My local detail shop cannot get the dye stains out of the sides of the seats and door panel. Bell Lexus did get it out and they put a sealer on the seats and door and within two days the stains were back. David told me that I could bring the car back for seat cleaning but not every week. David also suggested that I not wear expensive jeans or other dark fabrics in the car? Do I tell my clients the same thing? What if I purchased a leather sofa and this happened? Shouldnt the same principles apply? As a Real Estate professional, I use my Lexus in my business to transport clients. Appearance is an important part of my job. A stained interior will very likely cost me lost sales, lost listings, and fewer referrals. My car is a business investment. Even the non-professional Lexus owner would not like this happening to their supposedly high quality car.Since David was acting as an agent for the Lexus admits the problem; I want this issue addressed and corrected. It is obviously, an undisclosed defect, in that it is inferior quality material, especially with a tan interior. For certain, the sides of the seats and door panels are made from defective materials. Please correct this problem as soon as possible, for I do not want to suffer any further losses.

I said, If I do return and the report reflects the same thing my first visit did will you fix my radio amp? She said she could not make any promises… I said, Then why am I jumping through these hoops? She said it was required by Lexus. I returned as Colleen asked and received the same results: there was no reason, obvious reason for the failure. The information was relayed to Colleen and weeks later she called me and said Lexus was unable to offer any help... offer assistance. SO BASICALLY SHE WASTED MY TIME! I purchased my Lexus 2009 RX 350 USE from a Lexus Dealership with Mileage around 35,000/-. Three weeks back when my wife was Driving car to work in the Morning after 10 min of Drive VSC light came up, and after a mile or so Check Engine Light Came up. By the time she stopped the car to Safe place, Car interior area started smelling like burning rubber. She stopped the car and get it towed to nearest local mechanic place. I gave call to Nearest Lexus dealership and asked them about the Issue and if that would be covered by Lexus Warranty. To my total surprised, they declined covering under the warranty because Powertrain warranty expired on Bases of Time of First Sell (72 Months or 70000 Miles). They argued that even though car mileage is still under Warranty period, Since Warranty Expired Four months ago, they would not cover it. Dealership asked me to take this to Lexus Customer Care.I called Lexus customer care and explain them the potential safety concern about sudden water pump failure without any prior indication and asked them if they would cover due to the fact Mileage is still under the warranty limit and close proximity to warranty expiry time limit. I was asked to get vehicle to safe place and wait for Manager to get back to me within three days (By Friday, Incident happened on Tuesday). I waited for call from Lexus but no one returned call till Friday end of business day. I called back and asked to Speak to Manager over there. First of all when she (Vicky) came on call, she had no Idea what issue I was referring to, because she started talking about some Oil pipe failure etc. I had to repeat entire story again, which shows that they didnt even look at my case even though I was told that someone review it and get back to me.Talking to Manager (Vicky) I tried to explain since its part of powertrain and problem existed even Under the warranty period and I dont have direct control over its failure, its clearly indication of bad quality of engine and parts. The most important part is safety hazard of car catching fire due to overheating. Lexus Customer Service stick to the three months over the powertrain warranty and refuse to take any accountability. I was asked to tow the vehicle to nearest Lexus dealership which is 30 miles away from where car is stalled. I asked Lexus about some level of assurance on warranty coverage but they keep on saying We cannot give you assurance of any help at this point. They will talk to Lexus dealership and then only consider this for help. I called nearest Lexus Dealership and asked for the estimation of water pump replacement, they quote me $1200+. Considering towing expense (about $300), hefty dealership cost and absolutely no assurance from Lexus Customer Service, I decided to get water pump replaced at the Local mechanic place where car was pulled over for diagnostics. I paid complete expense out of pocket and filed reimbursement claim with all receipt and documentation. To my total surprise, they declined the claim based on the fact that it wasnt replaced at Lexus Dealership. I swallowed this poisons pill and decided to move on. After three days of driving around (all together less than 100 miles), check engine light came on with VSC light. Took it to same mechanic who replaced water pump and he said its nothing to do with water pump. Now engine is misfiring and heating up. Since it sounded like major problem, I called Lexus Customer service and ask for help in this. I was again asked for to take it to Dealership which I did. Primary diagnostic from Lexus dealership pointed to structural damage to Engine due to premature water pump failure and advise me to replace whole engine, which is huge expense. My bases for taking this to claim is : Water pump is part of Powertrain and has no influence by driving pattern. Failure of water pump at 61000 miles is very premature and indicate toward inherent problem with engine and related components. Safety Issue: There was no sign of water pump failure until last moment when it actually gave up all of sudden. There was very little time before Check Engine lights came on and further damage due to overheating. If it was ignored for couple of miles car would have caught into fire. Powertrain warranty is 70000 Miles or 72 Months, whereas cars mileage is 61000 and time since first usage is 75 months (just 3 months over the warranty). Considering close proximity to warranty expiration, Lexus should consider this for warranty extension. This Engine series is infamous for cooling system issues and several service bulletins have been issued regarding it. Several complaints have been filed about the similar problem, where water pump failure and subsequent engine damage.

I have a Lexus GS and noticed the roof molding peeling. I Google and discover it was a common problem. My windows and door locks stopped working. For a luxury car I expected much better reliability. I have 3 Toyota cars and only my older ones were OK. I have switched to Honda now and been very happy. They repaired the paint and windshield visor on my 2008 Civic which is 7 years old under warranty. At least Honda takes pride and responsibility for their cars. I now only buy Honda.

I have been a Lexus owner for over 20 years. I have purchased x4 Lexus vehicles. One sedan and x3 GX460. I started hearing rumors that the service was not that great anymore and that calling the corporate office was a waste of time. I can attest that all of the above is true. My radiator burst while driving. This caused my engine to overheat and blow the head gasket. I did not know the engine had a problem because my emission system had the engine light on.I had an appointment to fix the recalled emissions on 10.13.19. My engine blew on 10.6.19. The engine was supposed to shut down when overheated. It did not. I did not know because the engine light was on from the emission system recall. I called Corporate for assistance. $10,000 repair minimum. They were COLD AND IMPERSONAL. Basically they told me it was my problem. They dont stand behind their brand anymore and I cant be loyal to a brand that is not loyal to me. NO MORE LEXUS FOR ME.

I have 2 Lexus cars, one 2007 ES 350 and one 2005 RX 330. As several Lexus customers are experiencing, I too have a leaking rack and pinion on my RX 330. With just 60,000 miles plus. I found this problem when the service adviser inform me about this problem. I was surprised that this so-called quality luxury car will give us some problems at a low mileage. I just have my oil change last month and quoted me about $1,800 to repair. What a quality car we have to just spend this much for a low mileage and my wife drives this one from home to work and vice versa. Lexus should do this repairs at no cost to the customers if they want to claim that their vehicles are built with a seal good quality and workmanship and recall this vehicles because there are so many Lexus owner out there who are having the same problem. This issue should be taken seriously before anything else and serious things happens. I will never recommend Lexus to my friends so they will not experience this kind of dilemma I am experiencing and maybe patronize so other vehicles.

At 80,000 miles my car just all of a sudden went into safety mode also known as limp mode. Three lights flashed on my dash and I could not go over 35 mph. My Lexus dealer is 3 hours away. I called them they told me to drive to my local Toyota dealer which I did. They told me that my secondary fuel was broken and the cost was $2300. They see this all the time I was told. The Tundra truck has the same issue and Toyota extended the warranty from 50,000 miles to 150,000 miles. Lexus has not extended their warranty. (I was told because it was a LUXURY vehicle and the owners normally dont keep the cars long unlike Tundra owners whom keep the vehicle for a long time.) I submitted a claim to Lexus and I was called and told my claim was rejected. I was told they are still using these same engines in both models as of today! When I pulled out of my neighborhood going into the median cutting thru 55 mile an hour traffic, I expected my vehicle to have the pick up it normally had. When I went to pull it, I had NO power. I could have been T-boned very easy and not here to tell why I had no pick up. Lucky for me the traffic was very thin that day. I feel this issue is a MAJOR safety issue and needs to be addressed. This is my first and last LEXUS vehicle. I will never buy another!!!

I have a 2004 Lexus IS300 with interior in near mint condition. Years ago I started experiencing a problem with the dashboard. It was sticky and wiping it down stripped away the paint. I contacted Lexus customer service and they scheduled me an appointment with my local dealer (Tri-County Lexus of little falls New Jersey) for an inspection. The dealer took pictures and sent them to corporate. A week later I contacted Lexus customer service and to my surprise they refused to fix the problem. I argued with them and they offered me a $250.00 credit for the inconvenience. Till this day I have yet to use the credit. A year ago I contact my local dealer for a quote on my dashboard and they advised me to wait. They said that Lexus/Toyota is aware of the problem and they will be sending out recall notices. I waited but never got a notice. Later I realized that a recall was issued for the melting dash but it did not include the IS300. I recently contacted my local dealer again for a quote. I asked them what they recommend I do, either I have my dash pulled out and repainted or I buy a new dash. The service advisor did not recommend I have the dash repainted, saying that the paint will eventually come off - that Im better off buying a new dash. I asked What if I buy a new dash and I run into the same problem Im having now? He did not have a answer for me. Hes said that he will call me back. Till this day I have yet to receive a callback. Ive called several times and every time I call Im told that I will get a callback. I am very disappointed with Lexus/Toyota. I am unsatisfied with the service they provided. I feel that all of this could have been avoided if Lexus/Toyota had just included the IS300 in the recall. This experience will definitely influence my business with Lexus/Toyota in the future.

Different varieties of models and features that are actually nice and I would recommended that. Each model is unique in its own, but I prefer Lexus Los cause it offers hybrid and gasoline vehicles and they give you the ability to choose which one that you want. Lexus has many upgrades and personalization options that can be added onto the vehicle and that isnt added to the final bill of sale, which is excellent to me and I actually love that about them. Lexus is such a luxury vehicle and so affordable that anyone can afford them.

There are many Lexus fun luxury models. I looked at Extreme Luxury XJ3, XJ1 -- all good models for me, priced different. Very hard to choose the one I wanted and took three months to pick. Waited to test drive till I was sure. Went online to check different models colors, prices to be sure. Had many things I wanted -- leather seats, CD player, GPS tracking, GPS navigation, and any add-on I could think of for me, heated seats, etc. Love two colors, white and black, and went with black. Overall love the two-door model. Just wanted four people capacity. Thats all I would need being childless. Four doors and more room wasnt needed for me. Like the more compact cars anyway. Easier to drive and love it better. Great color and model, and its the best for me.

I will never buy another Lexus vehicle. After receiving a recall notice, I waited to take it to the dealer because I was unsure if I was keeping this car. When it was decided to pass it down to my 3rd year medical student, daughter, because of the supposed reliability, I took the vehicle in for the repair. When I left there with a diagnosed timing cover leak, engine oil leak, that occurs in about 100% of these due to a manufacturing problem, and was notified of a $2,800 cost, my trust in this vehicle is over. Not only was that uncovered, but my daughter has complained of the navigation/electrical system shutting off/rebooting approx. 8 times in a 2 hour drive. Jim Hudson Lexus service advisor said I needed an update for $186. Upon further review, I do not believe an update will help. I reached out to Lexus Corporate and after the case manager, finally, reached someone at Jim Hudson, this has been ongoing for about 3 weeks, she called to tell me that Jim Hudson could not create the navigation problem so they did not have a suggestion other than to leave the car with them for further diagnostics. Since the driver is a medical student, 2 hours away, this additional diagnosis time may not be a possibility. Also, she wanted to notify me that Lexus will not be able to help with the repair of the oil leak. After discovering the continued problems with these vehicles, not just the 7 year old ones but the 1 week old ones, I will remove Lexus from my possible cars to buy in the future. Please beware of any Lexus vehicle you are thinking of buying. I do not know how they receive such high ratings.

I recently emailed Lexus Brand Experience about the horrible service I have received with my new Lexus ES350 FSport. This was on 12/29 and I have yet to hear back. Just another testament to why I will never buy a Lexus again. It all started from the salesperson telling us that we had 2 free oil changes that come to find out is not true. Then after bringing my car home, noticing it has a very small chip on the gas cap & the salesperson telling us Oh well, you took it home, nothing we can do. Each time Ive taken my car in for service it has not gone smoothly. The 2nd time taking it in they rotated my tires & since then my car has not driven the same. Took it in for the 3rd time and when I bring this up, the service writer proceeds to tell me that they could balance them for $90 & had I brought it in immediately after that they would have fixed it. Im trading in my car and will never recommend Lexus to anyone!

I have a 2009 Lexus ES350 which has been recalled because of the passenger Air Bag. Yesterday, I tried to get some updated information as what to expect with this recall. I contacted both Lexus and my local dealer in Orlando. No one was able to provide any information -- how long before being fixed, etc. I asked for a supervisor at Lexus and they said that it would be 48 hours before I would receive a call.At my local dealership, I was able to talk to a lady in charge of customer (un)relations and she was no help. I asked to speak to the General Manager and was denied. She said that she was as high as I could go. I do not know about you, but when companies deny you the opportunity to voice your concerns to higher management, I am extremely concerned about a business who operates in this manner. I like my car, but the service and lack of information from a supposedly Luxury car company is appalling. My last Lexus. This type of customer service is very short sighted and will cost Lexus millions of dollars -- not the way to keep repeat customers!!

I have been a loyal customer of Lexus for over 25 years and, generally, very happy with the cars; however, most of them I traded/sold before they were 5 years old. My current car is 2010 Lexus 450H that has less than 75,000 miles and was purchased less than 6 years ago. As usual, I am up-to-date with the maintenance schedule on the car and the maintenance is always performed at the service department of the dealership. A few days back, while driving, I noticed the hazard sign turned suddenly on and check hybrid system was flashing. Among the things that I noticed were the failure of cars cruise control and the SOS light turning red.I immediately took the car to the dealership service department, who diagnosed it as the failure of the airbag ECU. The replacement cost me $995.42. My service consultant at the dealership is a very nice gentleman, who said that there was no specific maintenance for the unit. That suggested to me that the unit on the car was defective and Lexus should be replacing it free of charge, but they did not. I have heard that computer malfunctions are not uncommon on the cars made by Toyota Motors. I am so disillusioned with Lexus that I have decided to take my business elsewhere and never buy another Lexus and, hopefully, convince my friends to do the same.

I am the original owner of a 2008 GS350. I bought a Lexus because they had a reputation for high reliability. My car certainly has not lived up to that reputation. I have had tons of little problems but with only 62,000 miles on my car the engine blew up while on the freeway and 12 miles from any service. I had a headlight that wasnt working and it cost me $2200 to repair it because my ballast was faulty and they require you to replace the whole light assembly (lenses, plastic parts, etc.). What an insane expense and an environmental disaster. Lexus Customer Satisfaction (lack of satisfaction?) basically did nothing to compensate me or fix the problem. I will NEVER buy another Lexus. I highly recommend that you also stay away from any Lexus. They are certainly not the company they used to be.

I just brought my 2006 Lexus RX400H in for the 35,000 mile service and to have brake pads checked. I was told that I need not only brake pads, but rotors and calipers on all four wheels with only 36,000 miles on the car. Two years ago, when I had about 25,000 miles, I was told that I had to replace all four tires. The cost was $1,500 and the dealership wouldnt let me leave without replacing all the tires. I have owned many high end vehicles in my 65 years and never have I had to replace all four tires in such a short time and certainly not a two thousand dollar brake job at 36,000 miles. Something is very wrong here. I bought this car new at IRA Lexus in Danvers, MA in March of 2006, and have overall been pleased with the car. However, this kind of component breakdown (or brake down) is unacceptable on a car which cost $53,000 when I purchased it. I believe that the parts had to be faulty or below acceptable standards for a high end car like Lexus. I look forward to hearing from you soon. This is a very disappointing and costly situation, which I do not feel is up to Lexus standards. Please respond.

My local Lexus of Kendall (FL) dealer nor Lexus corporate have resolved a problem with my 2013 ES 300h after many attempts. Lexus of Kendall dealer said if I maintain my car with them they will fight for me should there be any problem with the manufacturer in the future, so I did. Well, I reported a defect in the backseat leather shortly after my 25k maintenance appointment November 2016 while my car was under warranty. The backseat perforated leather dried and shrunk causing tension on the rest of the seat. It feels very rough and hard to the touch. The manager at the dealer took photographs, and said he will contact the manufacturer. After several months of leaving messages with Lexus of Kendall operator and voicemails I was told the manager no longer works there, and another manager (Bernardo) took over his work. I came in person to meet with new manager March 2017, by which point the problem area became larger, and same problem started to happen on the other side. He took more photos, said its not a Lexus defect because on one side it is perfect circle. I contacted corporate, submitted photos, and they asked Bernardo to weigh in. He said I caused the damage but could not explain how, and if there was a defect in the leather he would not be able to tell unless the leather was taken off and he can examine the back side of it. Corporate said I will need an expert in leather to run tests and determine the cause. I have never heard of such a response for warranty coverage. They denied to fix my car while under the warranty. I contacted the 3rd party dispute resolution address, provided by Lexus, several times with no reply.I purchased the car used with 6k miles in 2013 in perfect condition. Since then I rarely used or had passengers in the backseat. When I did have passengers the trips were short, just a few blocks in the city, and my passengers are slim. My car is stored under a carport, in a garage when I am at work, and my windows are tinted so the inside temperature does not get hot often. I have had others cars such as Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda over 100k miles and much older that did not have such quality issues even with daily use. My Lexus has premium leather with Luxury package, it should withstand at minimum light use. The problem from initial report to current has grown in size, and continues to grow. Terrible dealer customer service and misinformation, terrible experience with corporate. First and last Lexus. Photos from March 2017 and Feb 2019 are attached.

Cashier told me to pay $300.00 and I was surprised but she never gave me opportunity to ask the question and put my Visa and asked me to insert my pin number in front of all employees.

2014 Lexus 300H, PCS, almost kill me. I bought this car in 2014, and the car started using the brake system by itself. I was driving and the PCS would start flashing and all of the sudden the car came to full stop without reason. It happened 4 times, I took it each time to Lexus of Bellevue, they said they couldnt find the problem. The fourth time I was going 50 miles per hour and the car used the brakes by itself; I span and went into a ditch. Someone called the police and I called the Lexus road assistant. They towed the car, I thank God nothing happen to me or my friend. They looked at the car again and one more time the Lexus service said there is nothing wrong with the PCS. I hired an attorney and we are dealing with them right now. The car has been parked for 3 months now, and I am still paying for something I cant enjoy due that I dont feel safe driving it. Please if you own a Lexus that has PCS and you have experienced similar problem please come forward. Please comment. This system is called PCS, PRE COLLISION SYSTEM, the worst!!

Earlier this year I noticed that my dashboard was sticky to the touch (melting) and the control buttons on my steering wheel were peeling off. After a quick Google search I found a recall on the 2007-2008 Lexus 350 dash and thousands experiencing the issue with peeling controls. When I brought my car in, the dealer said the dashboard recall had just expired and Id need to get approval to fix it along with the peeling controls. Lexus corporate REFUSED to fix their known manufacture errors. Funny, I was planning on buying another Lexus, but Ill spend my hard earned $ with a brand who truly values customers and fixes issues when they are at fault. Lexus claim to quality is bogus!

I bought my 2006 GS300 1/07 with 7,000 miles. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership since ownership. Absolutely nothing performed elsewhere, whether oil/filter, tires, brakes, etc. All periodic maintenance was religiously performed. My car would rough idle occasionally, and it began eating oil several years ago. Numerous oil consumption checks, and many, many trips to the dealership. My check engine vsc light came on 1/5/15, something that had occurred previously on multiple occasions, and I immediately took it to the dealership. Was told I NOW need the engine misfire repair, which to my understanding includes replacement of the pistons. Lexus Satisfaction has to get involved after the request for the repair from the dealership was denied by Lexus because the car is now 9 years old (which coincidentally just occurred). The engine misfire repair will be performed as long as the car is less than 9 years old. I then battled with Lexus Dissatisfaction and was ultimately informed they would not compromise on their decision. It is truly a very disappointing decision. Nothing more than typical corporate games. I will NEVER purchase another Lexus.

Mesh grills and spoilers are really nice if you have the budget for it.

I am the not so proud owner of a 2009 Lexus IS250. My question is why can NO ONE work on this Navigation System but Lexus? Monopoly much? My dash board and all of the material on the doors and everywhere isnt cracking, I can rub it off with one finger. Its melting. You cant clean it because anything you use just sticks to it and it looks horrible. To go along with this my water pump cracked overheated my car and destroyed my electrical system to include the alternator, battery, navigation system, and all of this has been replaced but my navigation system because Im now flat broke and no one seems to be able to figure out how to fix it other than with another $1500 Computer from Lexus because that is the only place you can buy them. And if you do find one aftermarket, no one will touch it. My heat is stuck on and has been since winter. Its so stupid Im ready to drive this car off a cliff! Recall the water heater!

Lovely company. They really did help me out with all the bills and paper work. I bought all in cash so that I wont have to pay more in the future. The sales man were pretty cool. I thought theyd be a lil too much or too forceful. Also, interior was clean, looked brand new, no miles in the car. Oh man the outside was clean, no scratches nor dents. Badass car. This time they really did over the limit. Im one happy customer with my Lexus. Couldnt ask for more. I love the car. Best choose Ive ever done.

Offered several mid-sized SUVs which is what I was looking for. I was able to test drive three different models in a variety of colors. All models had DVD players, cruise control, automatic windows and were easy for car seat installation. There were some with heated seats and upgrades to Sirius player. Some had special headlights. You can also choose your warranty options. Its easy to fit at least five or eight people and to convert to capacity for more people if needed. Easy to remove third row.

We have owned about 9 Lexus over the past 20 years. All great vehicles. In March 2016 we purchased a new Rx 350. At about 6000 miles it started surging and hesitating. Cruise control is almost usable. Our horror started in February 2017 when we complained about issue. Lexus acknowledged there was a issue and fix was on the way. About 3 weeks later Lexus called and said fix was in, we carried vehicle to Lexus for a 15 minute fix. There was no improvement. When I complained, Lexus said I needed to talk to Lexus customer care. After 4 months and carrying complaint to arbitration, big joke, Lexus said vehicle was satisfactory. I am stuck with a lemon.

Full line of sedans, sporty coupes, hybrids and performance vehicles including the IS, GS, LS which are reliable. They look great whether youre going out of the town or to a business meeting and want to make a positive impression. For instance, the IS Turbo has a very aggressive engine that is responsive and sounds great. The seats hug you through the curves. Also, the vehicle comes with the basic amenities that you want in a sports car. You do not buy this vehicle for passenger occupancy but for its high performance and overall driving ability. With that said, I am a good sized man and I fit in the drivers seat comfortably. Overall, I do not have any issues with the vehicle and its been an awesome experience.

Lexus had huge issues with their dashboard, glove boxes and side arms in some models. My model was a LS460. The material used would literally melt, turn sticky and rub off in the sun or heat. They developed a program to fix their short-comings and I was told it would be fixed a couple yrs ago. I dropped off car, they said they would fix issue and did nothing. After several calls, with zero returns I went to dealer. Was told we will get you in and take care of it, nothing again. Went back and was told the offer had ended and I need to call corporate. Corporate said they would not fix and I could pay for it myself. So, in summary, Lexus dropped the ball for over a yr and half thru a pandemic then would not make it right with a customer that has had about 10 of their cars in family over the years. Lexus only cares about selling their cars and obviously not keeping customers happy or doing what is right after their production failure with this certain issue. My advice is look elsewhere for your expensive vehicle purchase!

2014 ES300H - Will NEVER buy another Lexus nor recommend one to family/frie
2014 ES300H - Will NEVER buy another Lexus nor recommend one to family/friends. They DONT stand by their product. Car was only 3 years old & the front passenger door lock malfunctioned. It needed a new door lock actuator. Because I was out of warranty (over 50K miles), they said it wouldnt be covered & the cost was significant. The dealership convinced them since the car was still new, they should cover the cost. Eventually they did. Approximately 9 mos after that lock malfunctioned, the driver side one did the SAME thing. Obviously theres some defective parts in this car given it just turned 4 years old. This time Lexus said theyre not paying for it - they already gave me a courtesy service last year. Can you believe this? Didnt want to hear anything about it even when I tried to call. Wow - so much for customer service! Car wasnt even 4 years old and BOTH door locks stopped working. Think there may be a serious problem here? This is not only an inconvenience but also a SAFETY issue! The dealership was even shocked Lexus wouldnt pick up the tab. Given the car sticker was $48K and bought brand new in 2014, you would think they would backup their product, especially a Lexus. Dont count on it... reconsider before you buy a Lexus!! Truly not the same car it used to be.

This year I purchased my 3rd Lexus at McDermott in East Haven. I must admit that my purchasing experiences have all been fine but there was something unique and special about Charlie ** as the Client Advisor. Immediately, I found Charlie to be welcoming and eager to help me find the perfect car with the correct color that fits into my small 1929 garage. He was totally accommodating to my weekend requests for appointments and was a man who listened and remembered my requests. He could do a dissertation on Lexus history which I found fascinating plus there is no match for his wonderful sense of humor. In addition, it’s not over with the signing of the contract. Charlie has said that I can call him anytime I have a question about the car! This has been validated and is such a great pleasure to have this option. In addition to Charlie, there is an excellent Service Dept with Tanya and co-workers. And, there is Ryan M., A certified Lexus Technology Specialist to navigate buyers thru the technology maze and Crystal, Business Manager to help clients thru the paper maze!! Thank you Mr. McDermott for have such an exemplary team!!

A few days after purchasing my 2018 ES 350 Lexus I noticed a fumey smell in the car after driving it for a few miles. The car was a certified used car so I thought maybe there were lingering scent from the previous owner, so I gave the interior of the car a thorough cleaning, but I couldnt get rid of the scent. I used all different types of air freshener but the fumes scent kept coming back, especially when I was driving on the highway. What really scared me was when I was transporting my daughter and she stated that, Mom the smell inside your car makes me feel nauseated. I called the car dealership Lexus of Palm Beach immediately, I stated the problem and was told to bring the car in.To my surprise Lexus has been aware of the problem since 2006. I was given a HVAC odor maintenance bulletin dated February 6th 2020, which stated that some 2006 to 2020 model year Lexus vehicles may exhibit odors that naturally occur from the HVAC system and/or related environmental factors. Although there is no way to eliminate these orders, follow the general procedure in this bulletin to minimize the order experience. I was told to purchase a charcoal AC filter with an AC refresher for $265 plus tax that may or may not minimize the order experienced. The most shameful part of this experience with Lexus was that they were trying to convince me that other motor vehicle manufacturers had the same problem, The problem I see here is Lexus chose not to fix this problem. They have been aware of this problem since 2006 and they continue to manufacture vehicles with the same odor problem as of 2020. I have driven other cars that were not fume coffins, like this ES 350. Other automotive vehicle manufacturers choose to fix this problem. I bought this car because it was a Lexus and the name Lexus was associated with prestige and luxury. I now have a car, I still owe thousands of dollars that I cannot transport my children in. I have to drive the car because its my only means of transportation but I feel unsafe in it every day I drive it.I am so tired of corporations and people who work for these corporations that dont care about their customers and their safety. I bought a Lexus, I expected the best in luxury, before buying this car I drove a Kia. It did not have an odor issue so Kia found a way to fix the problem, why Lexus refuses to fix this fume odor issues. Shame on you Lexus Manufacturer.

I purchased a 2013 ES 350 new... was very satisfied until Sept. 24 2016. The vehicle had a little more than 19000 miles when someone failed to yield the right of way and collided with my wife near the front and left driver door while she was driving the vehicle. The damage was extensive and the insurance declared the vehicle a total loss. My concern is that neither of the airbags deployed during the collision. The other vehicle involved airbag(s) did deploy.I contacted Lexus and gave them permission to inspect the data image on the vehicle to let me know why the airbags did not deploy. As of October 21 2016 I have not heard anything from them. I have contacted Customer service several times but did not get any information. The vehicle has been towed to a totaled lot. Not sure how long the vehicle will be available for their inspection. I have owned four Lexus vehicles and have not had any problems. I am now concerned if I replace the vehicle with another Lexus will there be a safety issue. Damage images are available if requested.

I purchased a 2016 Lexus ES350 in May 2016. For the first year Lexus offers a one year complimentary subscription to their Enform Safety Connect and Service Connect features. The Service Connect feature is supposed to provide maintenance alerts and the health of your vehicle through a Vehicle Health Report available by e-mail or by viewing the Health Report on the Lexus Drivers Website. The Service Connect feature has never worked from the day I picked up the car. Since May I have called Lexus Corporate 5 times about this issue and contacted the Lexus dealership twice but I get no satisfactory answers. No one can tell me what the problem is nor can they resolve the issue. Frankly I have given up on getting this issue resolved. Lexus wants $164.89 for a one year subscription for the Safety and Service Connect package. I have, therefore, decided not to renew the subscription when my one year complimentary subscription ends. Lexus has the audacity to charge $164.89 for a service where one the components of the subscription they cannot provide.I have had other issues that I have called Lexus Corporate about. I used their Built IT tool and I relied on information on their website when I configured my ES350. However, when I went to the dealership to order the car I found that some of the information was wrong and the car could not be ordered in the configuration per their Build It tool. In addition, when I took delivery of the car I found that the interior of the car was not what was shown per the Build It tool. When I complained to Lexus Corporate about it I was told Lexus was not responsible for any incorrect information on their website and if I relied on that information then that was my problem. This was my first Lexus and it will be my last. The Customer Service is simply not what one expects from a high end car company. I have had Mercedes cars in the past and if I had an issue they promptly took care of it. Lexus does not seem to care about their customers.

I am writing this review to express my disappointment with The Lexus Brand. I originally leased an IS 250 2008 with 15,000 miles. Within 7 months, the dashboard light up with check engine and stabilization signal blinking. Took my car back to dealer and was told they (dealer) would replace the entire pistons. Since that time Ive had three more incidents of rough idle, stalling, check engine and stabilization signal blinking. The response from the dealer was to perform top engine clean and carbonization. The final straw for me was my wife and traveling on the highway when my car started to vibrate, accelerating difficulties, and completely shutting down.

I felt like I was taken advantage of the second I drove off the lot. My negative review is based on visiting Longo Lexus May 2014, after work on a weeknight, to look at the new IS250. I went in to see if I would be able to finance the car, how much I could get for my Lexus ES 350 trade-in, and how much the monthly payment would be, and my goal was to receive a lower monthly car payment. I wouldve never went in the evening if I knew I wouldnt be given an honest/fair contract due to a rushed salesman.I was referred to the lease fleet manager Sergio ** (who was interested in me leasing not buying) and he was very nice and helpful, or so I thought. While we were working on making sure my new payment was lower than my previous payment, Sergio started changing numbers that I was not aware of until two years later when I was ready to turn in my lease. My issues with my first leasing experience. While speaking with Sergio I asked for a two year lease; he wrote the contract for 27 months. I requested and paid upfront for any overage miles based on a two year lease; not a 27 month lease, so now I am way over my estimated mileage. I never agreed on a residual value for the car with Sergio. There was very poor communication on what was being discussed versus what was being written on the contract. Unfortunately timing, feeling rushed by a salesman wanting to head home (I was taking awhile to make a decision), and having no previous knowledge of how to lease a car, I asked my questions and trusted Sergios answers and signed the contract. Assuming everything we discussed was reflected on the contract. Two years later April 2016, I knew my lease was coming to an end so I read up on returning a leased car. And started shopping for a new car. I went into Longo Lexus to look at cars and discuss my lease end options only to be told I have four months left on my lease. I said this has to be wrong because I signed a two year lease and made sure to buy enough mileage for two years. The salesman at Lexus said no its 27 months. I asked him to request for a manager to call me, and no one called. Now the lease is costing an additional $1600 in unplanned monthly payments.Around that time I was being contacted/harassed by 3 separate salespeople, calling and emailing me about my end lease options. Each one I spoke with, I explained what happened to me, I asked what they could do for me, and what I should do to correct the issue, and if they could escalate this issue to management, and make sure someone contacts me. They all claimed they would try, but I never received any contact from Longo regarding what they are going to do to help me with my lease contract. No one appears to want to help me, I would love to consider an option of returning it and paying the lease end fee and 10 cents a mile (which is what I paid upfront). I would even consider a buy option if I was given a fair residual price.I know I should not be responsible for paying 25 cents a mile, just because a salesman wanted to give the illusion of creating a great deal/price. I think it is unfortunate that salesmen and managers do not share with consumers how the leasing process works, and all the fees associated with leasing, especially when theyre talking them out of buying a car. They do not talk about how much of a pain it is to give the car back/purchase the vehicle/lease a new car. A salesman asks for trust and they want enough information to help you. The consumer gives the salesman too much information, and then the salesman uses it against them. Instead of being helpful, theyre friendly so you feel like youve been given a good deal, but they of course make sure they receive the better deal.In the past few months, I have read a lot about the leasing process, and Ive asked better questions, and I understand what was done, and where everything went wrong. I wouldve liked Sergio to be upfront about what he was doing to get the cost down, versus doing it and thinking Id be ok with it, just to receive a minuscule lower monthly payment. If he wouldve been honest with me, I wouldve known I was given more months in my lease and I wouldve purchased more miles upfront, or I wouldve walked. Also if I knew the buy out option was depending on how much the residual value of the car was, I wouldve tried to negotiate a much better price, and if the numbers didnt work, I wouldve said never mind, and left. Also, if they wouldve said to give the car back it would cost $400+, I wouldve also walked. But of course Sergio knew that, and made sure not to miss out on getting a car off the lot, and made sure his time wasnt wasted, he appeased me, adjusted some numbers like magic, and the rest is history/an awful nightmare. I shouldve never been honest with him about what my goal was, because then I wouldve been given an honest price, and I wouldve left, because I know my finances and what I can and cannot afford.Ive been stressed out for months, trying to figure out how to pay for all of these additional screw the consumer charges, while trying to come up with more money for a down payment for a new car, so I can get to and from work. No one seems to care, they just want to screw me more, by talking buy-out, or new lease options. No one has yet to reach out to me to address my situation, as if what happened to me is just normal sales practice for all your leases. This makes me very sad, because I thought I liked Longo Lexus, and Lexus in general. I had such a great experience with my ES 350, I thought I would try out a new body style. Worst mistake I couldve made. Instead of this being a great positive, referral experience, its a stressed out, depressing, seek a therapist, experience. If someone, who is willing and able to assist me, could finally reach out to me, and discuss what I can do, I would greatly appreciate it.

Getting an oil change at Stevens Creek Lexus is a nightmare. They are so disrespectful in that they book 8-10 appointments every 20 minutes, so the service is the worst. I am writing this as I have been waiting over 90 minutes for my SCHEDULED oil change. Yes, I made an appointment and still waited and hour and a half (and still not done yet). They should take fewer appointments if it is going to take 90 minutes for each oil change.I also told them about my breaks constantly squeaking and they told me that the brakes in the Lexus IS squeak normally, but if I want to pay for an upgrade, they will not squeak. I asked if I needed new brakes. They said no, but I need to pay for the upgrade if I want them to stop squeaking. CRAZY!
