Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, United States. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand, and luxury cars under its Lincoln luxury brand. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is controlled by the Ford family; they have minority ownership but the majority of the voting power.

The pint-sized Ford Fiesta ST's sport-tuned suspension and six-speed-manual-only gearbox can make amateur drivers believe they’ve found a new day job. A 197-hp turbocharged inline-four feeds the front wheels, and a brake-based torque-vectoring system aids agility. Recaro sport seats and blacked-out rims are racy upgrades. Style-wise, this spicy hatchback is the right amount of mild versus wild. Too bad its pedestrian interior suffers from a tight back seat, econocar materials, and few standard features. Most important, though, the Fiesta ST is seriously fun to drive, plenty practical, and readily affordable.

Purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta SE. After the purchase, I had problems with the transmission. Further research turned up that Ford is well aware of this problem and extended a warranty for 7 years or 100,000 miles to replace the transmission. I purchased the car just AFTER the 7 year mark. Ford has been unwilling to repair this well known problem. How as a company, when you know you have put out a faulty product do you not stand behind it and repair it? This is in excess of $3,000 to repair myself. Additionally, Ford customer service and consumer affairs were rude and not at all helpful. When I called them they told me since it was beyond the 7 years they would not help. I asked for a supervisor and they told me no, that the supervisor was just going to tell me the same thing anyways. I then filed a complaint with the BBB. When Ford called to respond to that, they called from a blocked number and left a quick message, basically saying that they did extend the warranty and it's basically my fault I didn't repair it in that time (even though I didn't have the car at that time). They were very rude and left no way for me to call them back to actually speak to them. Horrible car and horrible company! STAY AWAY FROM FORD!!!

My purchase was in April 2019, a used Ford Edge Ecoboost. 3 weeks after purchase I found myself stranded on my way home from work in rural Iowa. There were no prior warnings, notifications, etc; just a complete vehicle shutdown. Luckily I did not impact with anyone or vice versa. If I would have been on the highway only God knows what may have happened. Wound up having to have vehicle towed and engine replacement.... Bad start on a new to me purchase. Once again the vehicle is sitting dead in the water. This time came out of grocery store to a stalled vehicle. No indicators, it just won't start. The key fob is a possible cause, however over $300.00 for new key, it could be the battery, or the starter, or the alternator, or a fuse or 1 of the 10,000 electrical components under the hood....Hmmm I also find it ridiculous that Ford does not provide service repair manuals FREE to vehicle owners. Come on guys. With the amount of recalls on your branded vehicles it's the least you could do. Anyhow I'd like to know why there has not been a recall on the 2012 Edge 2.0 Ecoboost turbochargers; there are so many of the stall while driving complaints it should be mandatory and would be humane. Ford should fix these issues especially during this time of chaos, change and unexpected futures, the last thing I needed was to have a vehicle that is non functional during the winter in the middle of a PANDEMIC. Hats off to Ford manufacturers and prayers out to those who, like me, still own one of their vehicles.

I bought a 2016 F450 truck. I bought it brand new. I put 16203 miles on it. It's now 1 year old. The ac is not blowing so I bring it to the dealership that I bought it from. They tell me the evaporator coil is clogged up. They want $2400 to repair. They tell me this is not covered under warranty. I have a brand new truck with no air conditioning. I also bought a 2018 F450 and a 2018 Explorer for my wife. 3 trucks in one year from Ford. It seems like they would be a little more interested in fixing the problem instead of trying to make me pay $2400 to fix a brand new truck???

My daughter bought her very first car after college and entering in the real world as a teacher. She purchased a used 2013 Ford Escape. After only 10 months she was driving down the road and went to turn and the steering wheel would not turn. Thankfully she was not on a curve going 55 mph when this happen. She was driving at a slow speed since she was getting ready to turn. Then realized she couldn't turn continued straight until she could get off the road and call her dad. This happened on a Wednesday and she called the dealership and they said "bring the car in at 8:30 Thursday morning." The car was taken to the Cloninger Ford of Hickory NC where she purchased the car and had the car serviced. She was pressured by the salesman to purchase an extended warranty (certified wrap covered warranty) 84 months or 100,000 miles that was to cover anything major. As he stated anything but belts and spark plugs those cheap replacement items would be covered. So we were sure that whatever was wrong would be covered with the warranty. The car only has 69,290 miles and is only 3 years old. After the car was checked out they came and told her it would be $2006.00 which she does not have. She was told it was not covered under the warranty. She was told the electric power steering had gone out and the gear assembly steering part #3504 needed to be replaced. I can't believe no recall on something this serious. The worst part of all is they let my 25 year old daughter drive away knowing what was wrong with this vehicle. She could have been injured or killed or injured or killed someone else. They better be thankful that my daughter was not injured or killed or even in an accident - it would have cost them so much more than $2006.00. I would own that dealership!!!!! We will never own a Ford and we will make sure that everyone knows about our experience. Today at 5:30 she will be trading her Ford Escape for a Chevrolet due to the customer service with Ford 1-800 # being no help and telling us to contact the dealership Cloninger Ford which offered no assistance. We were told it was a policy that Ford Motor Company has. Bottom line don't learn the hard way like we did and lose approximately $6706.00, stay away from Ford vehicles. Plus my daughter could have lost her life which is not replaceable. Yes one upset but thankful parent.

I just bought a 2016 Ford FX4 crew cab truck. I have been driving Ford vehicles all my life and thought I would never even consider another make. Well, that may change. This truck has been a big disappointment from day one. Following is my review... I switched from a 3.5 EcoBoost to a 2.7 EcoBoost in hopes that I would get better mileage. Not only is it worse than the 3.5, the economy readout on the dash is consistently 2.5-3.5 mpg less than the actual mileage. I have Checked every tank since I bought it. The Ford SYNC is a joke. The most user unfriendly system I have encountered. And I leave my iPod connected all the time and never touch it. The radio recognizes it about 50% of the time. I have changed power cords twice thinking there may be a short. But no change. If it was a short it would also affect it while playing. But when it plays it works perfectly. The driver side window does what it wants to sometimes. It may go down when you want it up. Or vice versa. The structural rigidity of this truck is nothing like my 2014. It jiggles and shakes like a 1981 Pontiac when on uneven pavement. The worst gas filler ever! Every time I lock the fuel nozzle on and wait for it to fill up, it clicks off the nozzle like it's supposed to, but you better not be standing behind it! Almost every fill up dumps a quart of gas all over the ground. The driver door speaker is already buzzing and vibrating. The coating in the bed is useless. It's like a sheet of greasy ice. Everything slides all over the bed, so I have to lock it down. I have yet to figure out how the trailer back up assist works. For the amount of money this truck costs, Ford really screwed up on this one. I will be looking elsewhere soon. I'd like to have my 2014 back.

The Ford Cmax 2013 is a surprisingly agile responsive hybrid. It also has ample headroom and is easy to get into and out of. It handled well in town freeway and in mountainous driving. It averages around 38 miles per gallon.

1st was given wrong price, then was told was not able to use my part but did anyway. Truck was returned 1st for leaking antifreeze, then oil and then both. After being told no rental was available for days, I finally just left it there (yes mad as hell I was paying cab after paying 400+). When I came to pick it up was told they wasn't going to fix it cause the part wasn't purchased by Ford! Part had been taken off 4 times by Ford and now they say its defective! The part that I was told wouldn't be used! Lynn response after many calls not returned "your car is old you just need to replace it", my response "you are old, does that mean Ford needs to replace you?" She hung up and will not return calls!

My complaint is with Ford Motor Company. My vehicle was covered under the power train warranty and I noticed sluggish shifting and jarring in low gears. Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldn't do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldn't recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they can't fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didn't stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover "less than half." However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they don't back their warranties. It's unfortunate as I've been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I can't recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

After my Ford Expedition caught fire in the parking lots while sitting overnight, I took it to the dealership under a recall I found out about when I called them. They have had my car 3 days and they just called to tell me they did the 2 recalls but nothing is working that was damaged by the fire (brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights) and that would be my responsibility!

We own a 2004 Ford Freestar. It's been having transmission problems for a while. Ford, last year, sent out a recall. Every time we call the dealership, we are told that there are no parts available to do the repairs. It's been over 6 months now for this recall. My van has finally died and is now sitting in my driveway collecting dust. If I were just to drop it off, they would do the repair with what they have on hand but still say they don't have parts for the recall. Seriously? What do we do in this situation?
