I purchased a 2004 Lincoln Navigator in 2008 and before I received the vehicle, it was having a front right passenger side brake rattle sound, along with the steering wheel shaking very bad. Also the hood shocks were out. The repairs were done, but a year later the front rotors had to be turned again and new pads. Now last summer the same thing again and here it is 2014, I had all the rotors replaced but the rattling sound has not went away and Firestone, along with the Dealership, cant find anything wrong or loose in the front end at all. They are telling me the vehicle is in extraordinary condition for its year.
It has a lot of space and is perfect for long distance drives, comfortable for the entire family and affordable as well! Having the Lincoln has been a life saver for running errands, shopping, and everyday task. I like it very much and hope to see newer models soon! The Lincoln drives pretty good and is easy to navigate! Navigation is very important to me when purchasing a car, so this might be a keeper. The Lincoln I have is black on black with tinted windows. It does not come with tinted windows. I got that done myself. Overall nice appearance. Is a long lasting car I feel because of its built and creator so I think it is a great buy that you wouldnt regret later. Sometimes when you purchase a vehicle they have a lot of issues but not with this one.
It normally ranges between $43,000-$49,000 but in my opinion its well worth the price but only if youre willing to pay that amount. Its the best for family vacations. I recommend it to everyone. It has a turbocharged engine which is a v8. Its like climbing into a jet and the drive of it is so smooth a lot of people compare it to a Yukon. But Id recommend the Lincoln Navigator any day. Id have to rate it the number one vehicle for me. Its like a big beautiful monster that drives steady and smooth and the interior is very nice. Many people look at the vehicle as if its a big majestic beast but I absolutely love the way it looks inside and out. Durability wise its strong and can withstand anything like hail, snow or just hard rain. Its one tough truck. You wont have to worry about many insurance claims on this vehicle so Im very satisfied with that.
I feel so empowered by driving around in this luxury car! Its such a smooth ride. Its like sitting on a recliner and its very comfortable cruising at any speed and in any weather conditions! Its such a smooth comfortable ride I wish my bed was this comfortable! I got tinted windows and nice wheels and when I go over a bump you cant even feel it. Acceptable gas mileage too! Its beautiful and has a shiny sparkle, speckled paint job rolling on 22s lol! I got really shiny chrome wheels and accents all around with factory tinted windows! Im truly at baller status in this whip!! Nice big wheels with great tread and great response of the steering wheel when turning ever so slightly. Nice smooth ride because the car anticipates bumps in the road and electronically the suspension adjusts to compensate so you cant even feel it.
We purchased a 2003 Lincoln Ford Navigator in 2014 and the heat and defrost system went out. Took it back to the dealership and they said it was just the blend doors needed replaced so they claimed that they fixed it. As soon as I switched it from AC back to heat no HEAT or defrost. Took it back to the dealership and they said that it was a solenoid and it would require at least 8 hours of labor and it would be approx 800.00 plus for labor. Needless to say I have been driving it without heat. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Then we have a keyless entry pad on the driver side door. The keypad works except it wont unlock the driver side door, then with the remote it will unlock all the doors expect the driver side. Does anyone else have these issues or is it just me? I do have to agree not a lot storage space!!
My 2004 Lincoln Navigator transmission cooling line rusted out. Ford/Lincoln discontinued making the replacement lines and now unable to repair. Searched internet unable to locate a replacement part. Lincolns reason - they thought they had produced enough so they stopped making replacement parts. Very poor answer.
Come on ford - whats the deal. I dont understand how a company can make a vehicle with so many problems - that costs $50k and up and act like theres nothing wrong. How many fires - deaths and loss of homes does it take before they step up - its time for them to buy back lincoln navigators and crush them. I own a 2003 lincoln navigator - bought it 8/15 and what a electrical nightmare. This car has a mind of its own and does what it wants when it wants - the dealer doesnt know how to fix them. Lights comes on - radio comes on - stuff works when it wants - battery goes dead if not driven everyday, air suspension is the most deadly thing I ever seen, pumps up - goes down, changes ride height while driving for no reason. High beams work some days and sometimes there smoke like its going to catch on fire. I had this car in the shop 15 times and everything that gets fixed causes other things to stop working. Time for a class action lawsuit against lincoln.
I OWN 2004 Lincoln navigator and have lived with the horrible Air Ride system. It has like so many others. I had constant problems from it going up half way to not at all to going out while going down the interstate which endanger my family. I went to Ford dealership which told me they could fix but it may be over 1200 dollars to fix with no guarantees it would work. I was told they convert it over for the small fee of 1600 to 1800 dollars. I am veteran and disabled and this was ridiculous prices they gave me. I went online and read horror story after story about same issue. I gave the Ford motor company a call and they said no recall for this issue. Explain to them about quoted price and its been 3 weeks and had no response from them. I will recover from this somehow, but its no wonder we dont have cars made in America with this minded service. Common Ford motor company, step up and do the right thing before somebody gets killed going down the road when their system fails to work.
We purchased a new 2019 Navigator with 16 miles on the lot. It was delivered from 300 miles away. We took possession on Friday afternoon February 22, 2019. On Wednesday February 27, 2019 my wife drove it to her Dr’s appointment over an hour away. She made one stop, and the car would not start. At this point we have owned it for 100 miles. She called the local dealer and 2.5 hrs later a tech installed a new battery and she was on her way. After her appointment 12 miles later at a traffic light the car stalls at a busy intersection. She manages to coast through it and off the street. She calls the dealer and they will send a tow truck. She decides to try and start it again instead of waiting another 2.5 hours again. The car starts and she cautiously drives it to the dealer a few minutes away.It is now March 14, 2019. The car is still in the shop, the Lincoln techs and engineers cannot figure out how to fix it. In two weeks Lincoln cannot diagnose the problem much less fix it. They were able to duplicate the engine stall my wife experienced. We understand it has gone through many tests, wires, ground connections, BCM, PCM have been checked and the dash has been removed. We have asked Lincoln to replace the vehicle, which they will not. There are no expectations the car will be roadworthy anytime soon. It appears we are stuck with an expensive car that no one can repair and if it does get repaired we feel it unsafe to drive. We purchased this vehicle for long trips with family, we will not risk our family in it.This afternoon at 3:44 PM (3/14/19) I received a call from a Lincoln representative. He informed me that the BCM had been replaced and that the car was fixed and the car was going to be kept another day as an engineer had been test driving it. My wife got an email at 4:16 PM (3/14/19) from the service manager at the dealership that nothing had been done to the car and that they are still trying to diagnose the issue. I’m completely confused, 16 days later the Lincoln rep in another state says the BCM has been replaced and the car is fixed and less than hour later the dealership informs my wife that nothing has been replaced and the car is not fixed. My advice, don’t bother with a Lincoln representative. I’m sure the dealership working on the car would know if the car is fixed or not. Dead Navigator.
I owned a 2006 Lincoln Navigator that you could not drive when it was cold. The suspension would not rise. I know too many people with the same problems. I also had problems with the spark plugs. I had them changed and the technician broke one. This SUV cost too much money for everyone to be experiencing the same problem. There is a class action lawsuit about the spark plugs but there need to be one on the suspension.
I bought the car used. I feel like I got a great value. It was roomy and also pretty good on gas. We used the vehicle to travel to many places on vacation and were never cramped. Plenty of space. I felt like the performance was good. I eventually had to replace the motor. But I thought it was worth it for me to replace it. I got so many more years of life after I fixed the motor issue. I love the appearance and how the vehicle looks. Its a got a great body. The headlights are placed in a great spot. I can see well when driving with them placed in that spot. I love the durability. I have taken mine down plenty of backroads and mud holes. My vehicles body has never broke. I have never lost a bumper or anything. I have pulled other vehicles out and my body never broke.
After 15 months, nine times in the shop and 45 days without my car, my brand new 2019 Navigator has FINALLY been deemed a lemon.￼ The transmission was slipping and the engine was burning oil. Lincoln told the dealership to put oil in the car and give it back to me!!! Lincoln refused to replace the engine as well as the transmission. Sadly, I absolutely loved my Navigator. ￼￼￼It had all the bells and whistles you could ever want but mechanically the car was junk.￼Please don’t fall into the same trap we did. These are beautiful luxury cars but they are horrible and Lincoln’s customer service is by far worse than the vehicle they built.￼￼ There is no customer service whatsoever! It was a horrible experience and I’m glad it is finally over. We are one and done for any Lincoln product in the future. As we went through this process we have discovered several other people that have had the same problem.
Plenty of space for people and luggage. We took it on many family trips. We felt safe and comfortable. We also didnt have to spend a lot in repairs. We go to Florida every year for vacation. Its about a 2000 mile drive and several of our family members dont like to fly. This vehicle was roomy and smooth for long trips. We were happy. It was black, six seater with very comfortable seats. It was a push to start and had GPS capabilities. My husband and I gave it to my brother as a gift and he was very surprised and pleased. It was durable. We took many trips and rarely had to get it serviced. My brother has six kids---4 boys and 2 girls. If a vehicle can keep up with them that is saying something. Its like driving the circus around.
My 2003 Lincoln Navigator recently had to be placed in the shop for problems with the air suspension that rendered the car unsafe to drive on the road (zero suspension causing the car to bounce to the point of near loss of control). I have been shocked by the experience and what Ive learned as I researched the issue in efforts to work through the problem (the numbers of folks encountering similar trouble appear to be unusually high). I took the car into the local Ford Dealership who indicated that the fix would be essentially a total replacement of the system at a cost of over $2,600! If that is not absurd enough, I was able to find a very honest and helpful local shop who replaced the air suspension compressor (which is the component that was actually failing) who subsequently ran into problems re-calibrating the system for proper operation. After a few weeks worth of attempts to address the issue, the vehicle was taken back to the local dealership who was also unable to address the re-calibration problem without a full system replacement (at least that is what I was told). Even the dealer is unable to effectively and reasonably provide solutions for their customers with this product. There is clearly a major problem with the design of the system that Ford/Lincoln needs to own up to and provide the customers who invested in their product a fair and reasonable resolution for the flaw in their product. It will only be a matter of time (likely already has happened) before some unfortunate family (who has been put into a bad situation by this issue) experiences a horrible accident due to flaws in this system - and in the end, Ford/Lincoln will need to accept responsibility for the flaw and possibly causing consumers to be placed into a situation that compromises their own safety and that of their family.
I liked the leather, the tv in the back, the luxury feeling. The seating was comfortable. The prices was well in our price range having 2 kids. They were also comfortable in the car. The car drove very smooth. Id recommend it to my friends and I have. When my family/friends drove with us they always said it was a smooth drive. They liked and think in the future they will buy as well. When we drive it people always seem to notice our car and I like that people like our car and say so. Our Lincoln Nav is black and its large. We can always take more people with us when we go out. Room is nice. We have leather seats which last a long time with good care. We have very little wear. Had our car for 4 years. We have changed our tires less than other cars because of the good driving.
My 2000 Lincoln Navigator went up in flames 30-45 min. after parking it. I investigated it and found that there was a recall that I never got notice on. Check your recalls. My car was a total loss!
I loved my price and it was so easy to pay off. Monthly payments were made to fit my budget and it only took about a year to pay off and I just love it. The performance of my car was wonderful. I have always loved fast cars and the Lincoln Navi was my favorite. I still have the car and I would recommend to anyone to buy this car. The appearance was great. I love the way my car looks and I wouldnt change anything about the car and I would take anyone for a ride. It was very durable and fits up to eight people in the car. I love cruising around and just showing off my car. I love everything about it and I just enjoy everyday that I have with my car.
I have own over 10 Ford cars. In 2006 I traded in my Ford SUV, for a new Lincoln Navigator. Ive always kept my car up, doing oil changes when needed and any service that the manual recommend. My wife now has her second Ford Edge a 2013. Ive been having problems with my Navigator. Ive changed out the fuel pump, and now theyre saying I need an engine. Ive always kept good maintenance on my vehicles. I am not physically able to work so Im on a fixed income. Ive served my country in the military and worked all my life, and my Navigator was my pride and joy, and my only means of transportation to the VA, other than my wifes car who works five days a week, so I cannot afford $8000 for new engine. Ive called the customer service and they said theres nothing they could do, Except offered me the employee discount on a brand new car. But why would I buy a new Ford when the one I have only has 71000 miles on it. I have wrote Mr. Mark Field CEO of Ford six letters in three weeks. I have received no reply from Ford. I have a friend with the same year, make, and around the same miles, that had the same problems that had to replace his engine. FORD, FORD, FORD WHY?
This has brought a lot of joy and value to my life. It has gotten me numerous places I needed to get and have never failed me. Id recommend this to anyone. Its fast, durable, long lasting and very spacious. Nice interior, good speakers, great smooth drive. You will love it. Beautiful from the inside and out. Love the way it looks overall how the size is just right for me and my posture. The durability is amazing. Had this for many years and its barely broken down plus everything stays intact.
Buying this SUV has helped me be able to take road trips with friends and be able to fit many things in it. Its luxurious and has so much room and is very comfortable. It drives really good and handles really well. I have never had a problem with it and its great for trips or just everyday tasks. You wont be disappointed with this vehicle. It will change your life completely. Its sleek and is well built. Its appearance is striking and it looks like a luxury vehicle. Its beautiful and shiny and if you take care of it it will look great. It has lasted me a long time. I have not had any problems and I have taken many trips and used a lot of miles and it still looks good and drives good.
My 99 Lincoln Navigator was parked in my driveway and had not been driven for more than 7 hours. I woke up to a good Samaritan beating down my door to tell me my car is on fire, which totaled it. Now, I have no car and only had liability due to the fact it was paid off all I could afford. The fact that this has been happening and Ford knows about it, they should be fully responsible to pay for my car or provide a new one. Its the first Ford Ive owned and will never own another. Their lack of responsibility in this matter and not doing anything about it is shameful and dangerous. Im just glad I still have a place to live and it didnt burn down my home.
On May 8, 2008 I bought the above vehicle from you. On October 9, 2013 it developed serious engine defects. I am the owner of an 07 Lincoln Navigator. I really have enjoyed this car and have taken great care of it. I purchased the car in 2008 after my father passed away. I wouldnt have been able to afford the car otherwise. I am a single mom, with two young kids ,and this Navigator was a wonderful family car. The Navigator ran fine up until October 2013 with only 45,000 miles. I was running errands with my kids and luckily we crossed over a major road before my engine froze up and my car was dead. I had the car towed to my mechanic and was told a spark plug blew a hole in my cylinder and I had a hole in my piston. My mechanic informed me that I would need a new engine with an estimated repair bill of $8,000! I dont have that kind of money and I am very upset. I contacted Lincoln/Fords Customer Relations Department and spoke to Mike. He asked me to have the car towed to the dealership where I purchased the car, so they could have their mechanic look at it. I dealt with Tim ** at Jim Tidwell Ford in Kennesaw. He was very helpful and he asked me to provide all my oil change records, so I did. Mike, at Lincoln, in the Customer Relations Department contacted me to offer a $2,000 repair allowance and parts would be covered under Warranty prices. This brought the repair cost to $4,500 which I still can not afford.The warranty has expired but I believe I am still entitled to a free repair because the existence of such a serious defect in a car which has only has 45,000 miles indicates it was not of acceptable quality when I bought it. Ordinary wear and tear could not account for the problem so soon in the life of the vehicle. I am a careful and conscientious owner, as the general condition of the car shows. I have not done anything to the car to cause this defect. I am requesting that Lincoln/Ford, please do the right thing, and replace my Engine. Please let me know as quickly as possible what arrangements you propose for rectifying the problem.Lincoln/Ford has refused to repair my engine as of 11/5/2013.
RE: 2003 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR : HAZARDOUS ISSUE WITH THE AIR SUSPENSION (compressor), passenger seat air bag, spring coil, height sensor AND the electrical connection affecting all the other sensors. For what is now the FIFTH (5th) time in 5 years, I have brought my car in for repair of the automatic/air ride suspension. The first was with less than 50,000k miles. This fifth time, I still have less than 100k miles! There is certainly a tangible and evidential history of this reoccurring problem as I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP all but one of the times.I contacted customer service six weeks ago and have not received any response. Meanwhile, I am a single mother who has had no transportation for her children as my car sits on the dealership. Hundreds of complaints are listed on the internet yet Ford/Lincoln refuses to finally fix AND WARRANTY this problem OR provide a fair value for trade-in; It has cost me thousands of dollars for the multiple fixes, lost wages, towing and car rental.To describe to you the danger involved does not go far enough to describe the absolute panic when the suspension goes out. The SUV bounces violently, making it uncontrollable. It is abrupt and has even left me stranded on a highway in the freezing snow (February 2010), with my children, in another state! Also extremely dangerous is the fact that it ties in to the passenger AIR BAG, WHICH IS RENDERED USELESS!! It appeared that EVERY YEAR, the suspension would go when cold weather hit, but the last two times have been in FLORIDA so though it may be a contributing factor, it is certainly not the cause.Having seen the hundreds of complaints on the internet, I believe like GM, Ford/Lincoln is turning a blind eye to a very dangerous condition because of the cost of repair. In fact, many of the complaints state, much like my experience, that the dealer cannot even figure out the problem. When I took it to the N.J and Chantilly stores, it took several attempts and replacement parts to fix it, from the entire air compressor to the spring coils, to the electrical system and relay which governs them and the passenger air bag. Ford needs to man up and fix this!
The car was large enough for a family of 5 to travel comfortably, enough room for luggage, band equipment, and sports equipment. A pleasure to drive and to own... very nice car. I have never had mechanical issues, easy to have serviced, it drove like a very high quality expensive car. It drove wonderful in all road conditions such as snow and rain. The brand can sell itself simply on the style of its design. In my opinion it is one luxury car and can more than hold its own with more expensive brands. Still in great condition when I sold it, held its retail value very well. The seats were very comfortable, no wear or tear. The paint was still in great shape no fading.
It has helped me out a lot. It is a very good mode of transportation for myself and my family. If it wasnt for this vehicle and its quality things for me would be very difficult. In my opinion this vehicle has very good performance. The motor is of very good quality, in my opinion. You can go high speeds if necessary without any problems or issues and is very safe; well I consider it to be very safe and would recommend to anybody. I think it has a very nice, appealing or attractive appearance that not only I like, but other people I think would like it very much. It just looks so sturdy and elegant. I cant think of any reason for someone to not like it. I have had mine for a long time now, and no problems. I also know other people who own one too and they also are very satisfied with it, and also recommend it because it does good on both short and long trips, apart from other things.
The Navigator had a lot of room for hauling groceries and sports gear. It was a smooth drive with decent gas mileage. My family loved to take long road trips for vacation every year while riding in the Navigator. The Navigator had a lot of get up and go. The acceleration was excellent. The gas mileage was decent. The tires had a very high tread life for stock tires. Would recommend. It has the look of a basic SUV. Nothing special about its appearance. It combined style and safety in its design near perfectly. As far as SUV goes, its a very nice looking vehicle. The Navigator is a durable vehicle. The stock tires have long tread life. The brakes lasted a very long time before having to get worked. The gas mileage is decent so no need to fill up constantly.
The paint is bubbling and peeling off the roof of my 2004 Lincoln Navigator. This leaves bare metal exposed and its starting to rust. Then, there is the paint on the hood cracking because it is aluminum and Ford didnt do a very good job in the preparation process. So now I have a vehicle that back in the day was a $55,000.00 car will be a rust bucket soon if I dont paint it and with times the way they are, I cannot afford to paint my car. With that said Im very disappointed that a luxury car such as Lincoln can have (to me) such a major problem. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
No major difficulties or breakdowns, requires only general maintenance, enjoyable to drive. Safe and smooth handling, good road suspension, easy and comfortable drive, good highway and city driving, good gas mileage, easy and fun drive. Medium size SUV, not too big, not too small. Variety of colors, good, roomy shape, lots of leg room, cargo space, TV & DVD, leather and cloth seats. Quality made interior and exterior materials, heavy. Can endure hot and cold temperatures, quality tires, long lasting and long wearing interior and exterior materials.
My 2004 Lincoln navigator got a spark plug broke inside the cylinder and ruined the motor. Now ford wants $8000 for a new engine. They know about this problem and they have not fixed it. Whats going to take for ford to fix this problem. Now I have $50,000 piece of junk in my drive way. FIX THE PROBLEM FORD.
The product, car, was a reliable, sturdy, handled well in all types of weather, very few problems or repairs, safety factor was high, good customer service. Good braking, steering. Appearance was very appealing, would be a good fit almost everyone, good color selections, great interior and quality of interior and add ins are of a high quality. Exterior and interior showed no signs of extreme wear if taken care of well.
Everyone who is planning to buy Navigator L 2016/2017: WARNING: DO NOT BUY IT. This SUV looks very elegant, but has too many problems. The sync feature is NOT seamless, it is full of glitches. It has a transmission problems, its not sound proof, you hear the wind sound. Compared to the Camry I use to for my personal, this SUV is a ripoff for the price they sell. Again: DO NOT BUY LINCOLN NAVIGATOR L. I purchased two SUVs on the same day. One SUV had display glitches. We go to the dealer (Highland Park Ford/Lincoln, IL) for a checkup. During the Checkup/Testing the display fails. My nice driver without complaining drives the SUV for six weeks. When I complained to the Matt ** at the dealership, he got the motherboard switched and it started working.The Second ones story is more weirder than the first one. I am driving to Chicago on the highway and the SUV gives a jerk like I tapped on the brakes and simultaneously the check engine light turns on. This is at 750 mile on the Odometer. I take it to the dealer and they fix it in one day and on the road rolling. At 7000+ miles the same SUV starts to bounce like a horse (rides rough). I take it to the dealer, and I am told that this would take a week. I am thinking that this guy is trying to funny. But it turns out that SUV which put only 8000 miles purchased in June 2016 has a cracked engine head in October 2016 with 8000 on it. Unbelievable!!!Then the dealers shop takes 16 days to fix it, which any auto shop outside finishes in 4 maximum days. I purchased these SUVs for Limousine service. My customers are very important people who cant afford to lose time, many people depend on them and to drive people like that around, I should be having a reliable SUVs. I call the Customer service for compensation but they tell me that it is not promised in the warranty. These SUVs are purchased not to feel the pride and pomp of them, but to make money. This is not a reliable SUVs for Limousine Business. Do not buy Lincoln Navigator. I am stuck with three of them. Regret buying them. If you value your time, money and business Dont buy Lincoln Navigator L. There are no fancy gizmos in it for 69K. It does not come with touch open/lock doors. You have to open with your remote. The system is not equal to Lincoln MKT. DONT BUY LINCOLN NAVIGATOR L, WASTE OF MONEY.
I scrimped and saved for years in order to afford this vehicle, and now I feel like a wealthy land owner. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing the envy on my neighbors faces when I drive by. This car has the smoothest ride of any I have ever ridden in. The engine is a soft but powerful purr, much like those from my cat who is also very satisfied with our new ride; he yowls much less in his car trips to the vet. Outside and in, this vehicle is slick and sensual like a jungle cat or Derek Hale. In fact, this car looks exactly like the type of car Derek Hale would own. Without a garage my car takes quite a beat down from the suns harsh rays... but the jokes on the sun because it only makes my car sparkle and shine that much more.
I have loved Lincolns since the 70s, they set a high bar for classy American luxury. The Navigator was the first American full size luxury SUV and drew me in like a moth to a flame. I bought a 99 Navigator new in June of 99 and drove it until June of 2017. One of my employees asked me to assist him in locating a good deal on a late model Ford Expedition for his wife. I got lucky and found him a gorgeous, virtually perfect 2015 4WD Expedition with only 23K miles for about $6,000 below Kelley Blue Book. One of the perquisites of assisting he and his wife in this venture was that I got to drive it the first evening they owned it when we went out to dinner to celebrate.I was blown away! Stunned and in awe of the amazing improvements in power, comfort, nimble handling and technological wonders. After my 20 mile drive I was hooked and the very next day found myself a 2015 Navigator Reserve (luxury edition) with only 14,000 miles. The vehicle still had the new car smell. I later found out that it belonged to an 80 year old couple who lived in a multi-million dollar home in the hills of La Crescenta California. I found all of the service records at the Glendale, CA Lincoln dealer. I was able to negotiate a price several thousand dollars below book value which sweetened the deal.The Reserve Edition includes motorized retractable running boards, 22 oversized wheels and tires, an improved sound system (which is outstanding I might add) and premium leather in all of the seating, doors, armrests, console and dash areas. This vehicle is exquisite, it was love at first sight. The improvements over my 99 were incredible. The vehicle has all kinds of sound insulation including special glass to insulate the occupants from highway noises. The handling is precise and nimble and the power is ample and snappy. The twin turbo V6 surprised me, Ive always been a V8 junky - my other car is a Dodge Challenger Hellcat with 707 HP so I know a thing or two about horsepower.The 6 speed transmission and 3.73:1 gearing match the engine perfectly. Best bet is to take a thorough test drive, see for yourself. I am hoping that this lovely land yacht will be as reliable and low maintenance as my 99 which only had one issue in 18 years and 100,000 miles of ownership - the heater core sprung a leak. That was it besides regular oil changes, brakes and tires which of course are wear items.
The vehicle is beautiful. My first experience with a Lincoln after 15 years with GMC Yukons. Had my SUV for less than 2 months, 2500 miles, and the Sunroof EXPLODED. Lincoln did not take responsibility. They wanted me to claim it on my insurance. Thankfully, my local Ford Dealer, (correct, Ford, not Lincoln), stepped up and made things right. I was left with a minimal $250 charge, (still not sure why I needed to pay anything), to fix the problem. Most disappointing of all was that nobody at Lincoln took responsibility and truly asked any questions to seek what caused the manufacturers defect.
Very roomy so loading the family and pet is easy and we still have room to move around. Very stylish, a great brand, safe, and reliable vehicle. Would recommend to anyone. Smooth ride, reliable, never any issues with the brakes or engine. Feels like Im riding on cloud. Love the roomy feel on the inside of the vehicle and even when the car is loaded with my family the ride is still smooth. No matter the color its a beautiful massive piece of machinery that is recognized by its height, weight, and design before you see the brands name. The design is very recognizable. Nothing last forever, however, Ive seen these vehicles last for more than ten years on the road a look almost brand new if well taken care of. They are built to last.
This vehicle has been a great family vehicle for us. We’ve had it for a few years and it has over 100k miles and it still running great! We had all the plugs and a full work up on it a few thousand miles ago before we went on a trip and it did awesome! We just replaced the battery this year. The original battery was from 2014 so I’d say 5 years was a great life on it. I’d definitely recommend this vehicle. We are going to trade off for a new one in about a year or so!

Spacious, quiet and comfortable ride. Gas mileage good, better to keep it full, top off at 1/2 tank. Has a third row seat which could be taken out if room is needed instead of the seating. Air/heat vents throughout so everyone is comfortable. Nicely lit up dashboard with cruise control. The performance was excellent, better ride on the open road. Glides right along, quick start off. Breaking system and air bags are excellent. Recommend using Premium gas for better optimum experience with your gas mileage.The Navigator has what I call a high class look with a very nice detailed design. It is a 4 door with a back hatch that opens up all the way or if you just want to open the back window for easy access, you can. Has a rack on the roof for extra storage space if needed and running boards to help get into the vehicle but also makes it look more sophisticated. Power windows and power locks, the Navigator doors all lock as soon as it is put into gear for safety. The durability of the Navigator is definitely one you can depend on to get you through whatever youre traveling. The 4 wheel drive is a turn of a knob as you completely stop, engage it, then go. It will get you through sand, mud, ice, snow, but I dont recommend high water for any vehicle, heavy rain, definitely exceptional.
I owned this car when I was 21. I saved my money for years to be able to get this car & it made me feel so good to be able to do something so positive in my life when growing up I had nothing. It brought me great joy and I felt so proud of myself to be able to show what I did. Id recommend this car over any other. Lincoln Navigator has always been traditional truck based SUV with standard V8 power.Over the years, the Navigator has offered seating for seven to eight and plenty of cargo and towing capacity. As such, it often appeals to large families and/or those with a boat or trailer to tow. Its also a great vehicle for a family. Its a beauty, I will say that much!!! Its a luxury and something to be proud of. It has leather seats, room for passengers to sit comfortably without feeling cramped, footrests in the back seat. A very nice stereo system. It is one of the top reviewed for reliability, the are great vehicles 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is responsive and provides adequate power.
I bought used 2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label L from Atlanta and ship to Cambodia with 9K miles on it. I bought in mid 2019. In overall, I love this vehicle. It has all what we need and its best for our family with 3 kids. What I dont like about his vehicle is the suspension. When were on the bumpy or pothole road it doesnt help much. Its bouncy and I can feel the body-roll when cornering. Its now 16K miles, the four brake pads are gone and one rear suspension is oil-leaked and need to be replaced.
I LOVE MY NAV! We bought it used and fully loaded. I couldnt have found a better truck with plenty of room for my 6-person family. Its been a few expensive fixes on it, including changing it out from air-ride to the regular suspension but overall, its a good running vehicle. I like the in-dash navigation, heated and cooled seats, DVD player, sunroof, 4x4. And I like the wood look it has in it and the fact that even my mirrors are heated is such a great thing. However, its been a few expensive fixes on it, including changing it out from air-ride to the regular suspension. However, its very expensive for certain parts, the in dash navigation has to be updated by the dealership so its out of date, and it looks horrible on the suspension when the air ride goes out. Also, I dislike that it has to have a specific type of gas.
It was a luxurious vehicle, very comfortable for my family. I felt safe inside. But it also was large enough to haul big loads for home projects etc. I never had any issues with the performance. It handled very well, it was easy to use and was fast when I wanted to drive a little crazy. It was a nice looking vehicle. It was quite large and some might find it a little bit boxy, but we liked it. We had the white version and that color hid many imperfections. For such a luxurious vehicle, it really was a very durable truck. We never took it off roading but went through many bumpy area and it handled well. The interior is also very durable.
My 06 Lincoln Navigator only has 61,700 miles and is garaged kept in the winter time. Two months ago, the driver’s side power running board became so loose that it was almost detached from the vehicle. Come to find out the aluminum bits of this power running board had corroded to the point that it was no longer working. This item was not covered under the extra protection warranty that I purchased along with the vehicle when new. It had to be replaced to the tune of approximately $1,800. Now, I come to find out that the passenger side power running board is going through the same process! However, now the charge to replace it is $2,500! Im so irritated with this company. They wont sell the parts that corroded by themselves; the whole unit must be replaced! First off, Id consider this a higher end vehicle. Why on earth would they use inferior products that just dont last? The winters in Pittsburgh for the last two years have been mild on top of the vehicle living in the garage, as mentioned before. I plan on not replacing it with a Lincoln/Ford product. Ill get a Nerf or the like running board and replace it myself for under $400. This is the fourth Ford product Ive owned in a row and it will certainly be the last Ford product I ever buy!
Just last year I wrote about having to replace a 99 Navigator engine at 137K miles. Now have 315K miles (168K on new engine) and once again engine is losing compression. Probably due to a valve seat problem again. Clearly Ford didnt do a very good job engineering this engine (DOHC 4V 54.L). Funnier (not ha haa) still is when I asked the dealer about doing a tune up at over 100K miles, service folks warned me that plugs might be difficult to remove and may be broken in the process. That would require extraction and perhaps re-tapping the head. I guess that explains why I have read about plugs blowing out of these engines. Not sinking any money into it, so now it is my plow vehicle (takes a F150 plow attachment nicely).
It was convenient when I had to take a group of kids somewhere because they could all fit and all wear seat belts. It was dependable and the only work I ever had done was oil, tires and other maintenance. Dependable, I changed the oil every 2,000 miles just to be safe and I never had any issues other than tires and things that every car has to get changed. I got complimented all the time. Mine was black with black rims and the inside looked like a high end luxury car, I loved driving it! Never had any issues! I trusted it to take my family and I on many long mile trips and we always made it with no issues or problems! It was a car that I didnt have to sink money into, once I was ready to sell it and get a new car I came out good because I never had to put money in it.
It was my first vehicle. When I was in college it served purpose for not only me but for a lot of my college friends. It took me all over Pittsburgh and back home to Philly. It took me and my girlfriend everywhere we needed including dates. It did take 30 dollars to fill up the tank but if you kept it full it was good on gas. I never got into any accidents and it was good for the snow and Pittsburgh had a whole bunch of it. Mine was black with beige interior. It had a nice body. Just the way it looked it got a lot of girls. I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone. My favorite of all the vehicles I ever had. Very durable no trouble whatsoever. Didnt have any car trouble during all the bad weather. Had no restrictions in the snow, rain or ice. Perfect truck for the conditions.
Its roomy enough for my family members to ride in. I can go grocery shopping and fill it up and still have space for other things. Quiet and smooth ride, can go up hills with no problem. Very good performance. Strong engine, I can go fast if I need and slow down if necessary without any problems. Had my Navigator for a few years and still love it. My Navigator is 10 years old and the paint is still great. When I get done cleaning it people dont believe how old it is. The body is great and looks solid and just love it. Very good anywhere I drive it. I can drive 10 hours straight with no problems and maybe stop for gas and I feel very safe since I feel higher when driving next to other cars.
My Lincoln Navigator was expensive; but was worth the expense since it was easy to maneuver, looked beautiful, was durable and was a joy to ride in while traveling- a true status vehicle. My Lincoln Navigator was a true performance vehicle. It was easy to drive and was a comfortable, smooth ride especially when traveling. The turn radius made it easy for me to maneuver which is important because I am petite. My vehicle was great to drive in both rainy and snowy/icy conditions and kept me safe on the road.My Lincoln Navigation was stunningly beautiful which was mainly what impacted my decision to purchase. The classic lines and detailing of the vehicle made it eye appealing to observers along the road. The interior options made the vehicle perfect for me. We owned our Lincoln Navigator approximately 5 years and had no problems with it. Scheduled maintenance kept the vehicle running like new and prevented any break-downs. Vehicle components were of highest quality and provided the durability the vehicle is known for.
I bought my 2005 Navi this year 2014. I had it one week and on the first morning, it was really cold (approx 22 degrees) the air suspension failed on a road trip. Was quite hazardous as the vehicle bounces, rendering the vehicle uncontrollable. The dealership took responsibility for it (thank God!). But now at this point, after all 4 air shocks have been replaced as well as the compressor, I still get a warning light for Check Suspension and at times a bumpy ride. I have read all over the internet about people with the same issue, yet Ford/Lincoln do nothing about the design. Only asking huge amounts of money to fix their problem. Im very frustrated. Ive had the car 1.5 months and 2 weeks of that it was in the shop. And the problem still isnt fixed. Lincoln needs to man up and help us out.
This car was really great. It got me back and forth to work and school. It was reliable and I never had any major problems with the vehicle. The performance is great. In any type of weather I could rely on my car getting me to where ever I needed to go. Nice and smooth drive. The appearance is beautiful. Very nice looking car. I always got compliments from family and friends about my car. The car even looked good dirty. But it shined when I washed it. It was very durable. I had my car for ten years after I bought it used. It was able to withstand a lot of abuse from my children and never broke down.
This vehicle is great in all weather and large enough for activities like road trips and camping. Very comfortable ride. Would definitely recommend if you have a large family or like road trips. Also has a great towing capacity. Would be hard to get stuck in any type of weather. Absolutely recommend if you lived in a snowy area. Love the look of this vehicle. I dont personally like the look of new crossover SUVs so the classic full size SUV body style is particularly appealing to me. Very sleek design. Very classic. Great vehicle for durability. Nothing beats a SUV if you want something durable and this one really handles just about everything you throw at it.
New 2014 navigator with less than 200 miles. Cannot read the odometer/information display during the day. Bright sunlight is impossible. The display is brighter when the auto sensor switches on the headlights. Anyone else have this problem?
2008 Navigator - Two times have had right front brake assembly fail while I am driving somewhere with family. Occurred in 2012 with 30,000 miles and again in 2015 with 50,000 miles. Has anyone else had this problem? I suspect a class problem that no one is talking about.
My 2015 Navigator L has an issue with unexplained wind buffeting at highway speeds. It shakes the whole vehicle similar to a tire that is out of balance. I initially thought that was the problem, but took it to several different tire stores to get checked and even high speed balanced, to no avail. If I pull up close behind a Semi-Truck the vehicle smooths out and all shaking disappears. Ive taken to the dealer who replaced a rear door seal, and adjusted the Sunroof deck height which helped to a degree, but the problem still persists. I contacted Lincoln directly and was told they have no idea what the issue could be and that there are no service bulletins regarding this issue. Its a shame, because other than this one majorly irritating issue (Imagine going on a cross country trip and enduring this constant vibration the whole trip) the vehicle is a pleasure to drive.
Bought my 03 Nav in 04 with 19000 miles on it for 45,000. Would expect something so beautiful, so expensive, would work. Suspension. Engine miss. Shifter. Timing chain. Instrument cluster...I can go on. Not enough room! Shame on u Ford!!!
I had spark plugs and coils replaced and oil changed during 114,000-mile service before heading to Florida for my yearly 3-week vacation stay. I started hearing a tapping noise on the passenger side so I took it back to my mechanic after putting about 1,000 miles on it to make sure it was OK to drive the 1,200 miles to Florida. Mechanic put it on the machine and said everything checked out OK and I was good to go. He put some special oil additive and said that should help. During the drive the tapping did continue but I thought nothing of it because mechanic said it was OK.Spent 3 weeks in Florida and put on about 2,500 miles and then started the trip back home. Got about 1/3rd of the way home (about 600 miles) and car started to buck like a bronco while on I-95 travelling about 70 mph (the speed limit). I had to pull off the highway and drove to a service station and of course, 5 PM on a Saturday Night no one was around to look at it. I then asked for location of local Ford Dealer and was able to get it there just before they closed at 6 PM. Service would re-open Monday morning at 8 AM so I had to spend the weekend there and paid for hotel room for two nights - unexpected expense. When dealer opened up I was told Cylinder 3 had no compression and could not be driven without more detailed examination by taking apart.Already frustrated, I paid a car carrier $700 to transport the vehicle to my mechanic and extra $500 to rent a car to drive home. Keep in mind I had to spend $200 for hotel stay and $125 to the dealer to find out car has an engine problem. With my Navigator and me and my wife back home, I come to find out the engine is shot and needs replacement to my surprise and frustration. I could not imagine that engine is already gone with only about 118,000 miles on it. I religiously maintain all my vehicles as my mechanic will attest and now I need an engine with only 118,000 miles on it???I called Lincoln Customer Service and they took my info and said they would research and see if there are any recalls or issues they may be able to help me with in this regard and would get back to me within a couple of hours with their findings. I must say that they did at least call me back as promised but told me that the best they could do would be to offer me an employee discount on purchase of another Lincoln Ford Vehicle. I said Thank you but no thank you. Even though my last 3 previous SUVs were Fords - Ford Bronco, Ford Expedition, Ford Expedition - I will never ever buy another Ford product.I cant imagine you cant get more than $118,000 on a Lincoln Navigator 5.4 L engine. Only choice I have now is to install a rebuilt engine (not Ford rebuilt) at cost of approximately $8,000 or use it as a paperweight. Everything else good with the vehicle except this crappy engine. Mechanic installing the rebuilt engine tells me he sees this a lot. He will not buy a Ford product and only buys Toyota or Honda for him and his family. Sorry state of affairs that now I also will not be buying a Made In America Ford Product because Ford Products do not last. Seems to me that that is why US is losing manufacturing jobs and economy is in poor shape and people in US have a hard time finding jobs because US automakers make junk which forces those that do have jobs to buy foreign made and designed vehicles.Just look around. What do you see on the road? Toyota, Honda, Kia, etc. I am too sorry to say but no more Fords for me. Next time you see me I will be driving around but never in a Ford. Another customer lost for Ford because Ford is junk and do not stand behind their products. Shame on you Ford and what you are doing to US citizens and the economy.
The new Navigator sticker, which I leased on 7/14/18, indicates 16 MPG city average, 21 MPG highway with a combined city/hwy of 18 MPG. I am only getting 10 MPG. This is the 5th Navigator that I have owned/leased. I live and work at the same locations for the last 30 years and have never had a MPG issue with any of my previous Navigators. After three trips to Lincoln service - they offer no explanation or help.
It has very good value. It is expensive but well worth it. Its very comfortable and luxurious, with the newest and best technology. Very smooth to drive. I have had mine for more than four years and I have never had any problems with it. Very reliable. Drives very smoothly. Good in all terrains. It is super stylish and super fancy. The interiors are very luxurious and the line is very elegant. Everywhere I go, people stare at it. Its a very flashy car. Again, I have had mine for over four years and no problems. My only complain are the wheels. I had to replace them too soon in my opinion. Otherwise, it is a very reliable vehicle.
I own a Limo business and bought a 2018 Lincoln Navigator for my fleet. I love the vehicle though being that it just came out you get some hiccups with it. My one and only problem is the windshield. 2 months after I bought it I found a crack in the windshield, now it turns out it did not come from a rock. It was a stress fracture. Meaning when they put it in it took on too much stress and started splitting at the bottom of the window where you can see the origination point. This would not be such a big deal to me if I would be able to get a new windshield but Lincoln builds them at a one for one vehicle not for parts. I have had this crack for close to 4 months now and it does not look good when you have customers getting in the car. I love the car and get great compliments and Im happy I bought it but just be cautious because they may not have a part if you need something fixed. I have called Lincoln to complain and they called my Lincoln service station. Just to let you know service station can only do so much. Lincoln HQ needs to do more.
The value for what you get in the Lincoln Navigator is ok. It has a lot of extras you can get as most cars do nowadays. It is worth the value. The Lincoln Navigators performance is great. It drives very smoothly on and off the highway. It breaks fast and smoothly. Great car for the money. The appearance of the Lincoln Navigator is good. They have better cars out now that have way better appearance than the Lincoln Navigator. The Lincoln Navigator is a very durable car. Of course there are cars that are more durable but also many that arent as durable as the Lincoln Navigator.
Great car, except as is with machinery, suspension system faulty (144,000 miles????). Expensive to find fault in system at dealership, and doesnt include actual repairs. Have a Lincoln navigator, and suspension system lasting longer.
Obviously you will be shelling out some money for cars especially when you start to peak in the luxury class but it is worth it. When you see the features and the way the car rides, you will be more than happy. It drives really smooth and almost feels like a spaceship on the road. I was very happy with the way the handle and ride felt overall. This is what luxury feels like. The exterior is beautiful and sleek. It is very up to date and as modern as you want it to be. Nothing to complain about as far as optics are concerned. You will enjoy it. It last about as long as you can expect it to. I did not have any real issues during my time. That was good because obviously those issues can be very stressful and costly. This made me feel really good about its build.
They should do a recall on the 2004 Lincoln Navigators rockers because they all rot out in no time and also the sensors go bad all the time but when they run good theyre nice.
It has brought a lot of excellence in my life! It has brought somewhat great value in my life! I love that it looks like a sporty car! It has a lot of luxury inside the car! Its got a sunroof. The performance is very excellent! I would recommend it to everybody! I have heard really great things about the performance! It never breaks down! The appearance is very sporty looking! It drives really fast! It has some disadvantages of the appearance! It sort of looks like the appearance could be deceiving! The durability is sort of in the middle of dissatisfied and satisfied! It has some advantages and some disadvantages to the durability!
