Skoda Octavia first edition ,worst car I have owned. Many software issues which Skoda are aware off particularly kmp not mph ,auto braking initiates for no reason, adaptive cruise control doesnt allow overtaking and several other faults.Ive swapped mine for a Superb as despite Skodas responses its 12 months with no solution. I also understand same issues with Golf Ver 8 ,Seat and some other VW base cars.

It is difficult to name a specific person or department as the are all so good.I have a company car, not supplied by Murrays but that doesnt matter when work needs doing, not that much needs doing except servicing. The always collect the car, it is returned clean inside and out.A full report is given and an online video of work done, this is followed up wi a phone call to make sure all is ok.

Im giving 1 star because I cant give none...Bought a 21 plate kamiq in April, its had persistent emission warning light faults, now the tyre pressure warning, sos system and infotainment system are playing up. Skoda UK customer services say they really would to help you but their policies prevent them so please feel free not to bother them. It goes into the dealership, I get to pay for a courtesy car (see above on Skoda attitude), they apply IT fixes and get told to tell me to monitor it. Its lasted 7 days before the emissions light is back on. Its nice to drive, looks nice, but as a product is not fit for purpose and built by a company that is indifferent at best to quality and customer experience. Im going to look at resolvers process for returning it under the consumer rights act. Regardless its going, I dont need the constant unreliability, aggrevation and cost. Ill never buy another one.

Our SKODA FABIA clutch went. Whose fault was it? Did the experienced driver had his foot on the clutch after 50 years driving without any trouble? Was it the 2018 registration SKODA car itself? An overlooked manufacture fault? A previous driver before the car was resold by SKODA WATFORD? The end result? It appears that it is ALWAYS THE LAST DRIVER FAULT BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE OTHERWISE. Even Hamilton couldnt prove he doesnt drive on the clutch! No warranty works, therefore any extended warranty is just wasting money. SKODA services? Much more expensive than the local garage! They certify our car as very good in April 2021 after servicing, and less than 4 months later - the same car has its clutch worn down to extinction? How come? We bought the car second hand, one year old (2018 registration) from a certified SKODA dealer in Watford. We didnt drive much because of covid-19 restrictions. In April 2021 our 3 years warranty ran out, and we naively paid 200 to extend it for a year, after a full service (another 300 from memory, our second full service) telling us everything was good. In August 2021 on our way from London to join our family in Kent for a few days our car lost power. Green Flag said it was the clutch. Other (non-SKODA) garages quoted 500-600. As we were under warranty we were afraid of using a local garage which would have invalidated our insurance. Once the car was towed to a SKODA garage, the diagnostic said it will cost 1,300! After much phone calls, time, and arguments, we were told SKODA will waive 500 (i have it in my mail box) to then make us pay 1,096. We paid, We have waited two weeks? More? Our car was held hostage. Moral of the story? We bought a one year old SKODA from a SKODA dealer, under warranty. We paid more to extend that warranty. We trusted a SKODA garage. Never again. Thats all. Dont buy Skoda, personal recommendation. Dont believe what they email. Use your local, go for recommendations from friends, there was no way that our car was badly driven heavy on the clutch (as we were accused of), this was an experienced driver who had another SKODA before with no problems Consider paying more for an electric car (no clutch!) with hindsight, thats what we should have done. Avoid SKODA cars (they are certainly not Golf cars), SKODA dealers, SKODA extended warranty, SKODA garages - in my experience they are just making money out of us. No more SKODA services: we will take our custom elsewhere and save the aggravation, the false accusation of driving hard on (no doubt during the lockdown parked by the house?) accusation impossible to do anything against. The extended warranty was a waste of money.

I bought a second hand car from a Skoda dealership in Lincoln, after two weeks it went back in to another Skoda dealership only to be told I had a leaking shock absorber which is a MOT failure and badly cracked tyres and a ongoing knocking noise.Word of warning go over the car with a magnifying glass do not drive it away unless you are happy. To me it seems that they just wanted my money and dont care about after care service. If youre going to buy Skoda please consider another make instead, they are supposed to be from the VW stable I dont think so. Even Skoda UK has no clout over the dealerships.Very disappointed I will never buy one again.

Brand new Octavia, only three months old. The infotainment unit has packed up. Contacted local dealer, and even though its a brand new car and a warranty claim, they cant fit it in for repair for over 4 weeks. So no rear reversing camera, no heating or air conditioning controls, no radio etc etc. Hardly great service.

Im honestly shocked at the service we have had for our Skoda karoq which is leased. We havent had any issues with the car and have had it for 2 years. We noticed the tyre was going flat and hissing so rang Skoda to arrange it to be fixed. They sent a recovery truck someone collected it and took to a garage that wasnt on Skodas approved list which we found out in the meantime and we had to do all the ringing around to stop it going there. It was then just brought back to us still flat. After hours on the phone their solution was we needed to get it to the garage 20 miles away with a flat tyre ourselves. What exactly do we pay 60 plus maintenance package for per month? Also left stranded for 2 days so far without a car and cant get to work. Shocking service we wont be using them again. Be warned!!!!!!!

Skoda UK know that the new Skoda Enyaq has faulty wireless charging bays and faulty USB-C ports. However, their so called Customer Care department in Leeds denies the existence of any such faults and appear to have encouraged their dealer - Citygate West London to breach the requirements of the Consumer Rights Acts Act. This law provides the customer the Final Right to Reject the car but this has been refused by the Skoda dealer.I bought a new Enyaq on August 5th 2021 and very much regret that I now have a faulty car and no resolution via Skoda UK. I have since checked a different Enyaq in a deals showroom and it had the same faults as my car.Further details of my nightmare experience available on request. It is unlikely that Skoda will reply to this post as they have no intention of resolving the issues I have raised.======================================23/09/2021Skoda have in an obligatory process in place for all dealers which removes the protection that customers have under the The Consumer Rights Act (2015).Dealers are unable to confirm a fault in a customers vehicle unless tests using Skodas own proprietary systems confirm the fault. This means that even if a fault is blindingly obvious, it cannot be acted upon by the dealer unless the diagnostic system test is failed. The customers description or proof of the fault carries absolutely no weight with Skoda and their dealers. This is written into the contract between Skoda UK and their dealers according to Skoda UK.The law requires that goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a specific purpose and if they are not then the customer may either return the item(s) or claim a price reduction from the supplier. These clauses which are meant to be for the protection of a customer are swept aside and ignored by Skodas practices which may well be unconstitutional.Neither the Sales Manager for Citygate or his manager will respond to emails giving notice as is required by the law. Even giving Final Right to Reject Notice has not been acknowledged by or responded to by these people.Beware of both Skoda and their dealers.

The dealership was fantastic at Pulman Skoda Durham and the contact I use there again excellent. However, the finance team which you have to contact yourself are shocking and I mean shocking. Spoke to a guy named Keith who was useless so hung up snd phoned back again got someone who could rectify the issue. Waiting times are terrible - sometimes 1hr plus. Dreadful.

Had the Skoda Octavia 1st edition since November last year and still havent had the infotainment system issues or the random car error messages I receive plus the the Skoda UK app is a waste of space and money as you literally cant do anything remotely with the car other than flash the lights and horn. Its a shame as the car is great. Oh and the lane assist is crap and quite dangerous plus the cruise control has been messed up since an update you cant get within 2 wagons distance of the vehicle in front it then randomly picks up the car youre trying to pass and applys the brakes. Ever been behind someone whos brake lights are constantly on and off and youre sitting there shouting at the driver well dont because it will be his crap Skoda or should I say VW inspired cruise control. I had the previous model which was a 20 plate and it was prlerfect. This one wont even connect my phones and ones an apple and the other an android and its still crap!!! Dont believe me get the dealership to show you the faults list of a new Skoda Octavia.

I bought a Skoda Enyaq at the beginning of October. Nice car and a great driving EV, spoilt by the following:- The My Skoda App is very simply the worst vehicle App that I have come across to date. Limited functionality compared to rivals and it crashes DAILY, generating useless bug reports which you cannot cancel.- the supplying dealer forgot to remove the suspension transit blocks after handing the car over. This necessitated a visit to a different branch who removed the blocks and stopped the awful knocking noise that they were creating.- There is no Wash Wipe warning light, so I ran out of Wash wipe without warning.- The adjusting handle on the driver seat back fell off its mount! This I fixed myself.- The supplying dealer promised a survey for Customer Service which never arrived. Probably just as well. For a 45k car this is simply unacceptable.

Myself and a friend of mine have been trying to get a test drive for the Skoda enyaq. It is a joke! After talking to 3 different people and promises of a returned calls, nothing! Total complacency exhibited. Maybe there are enough sales at present but the day will come when it will be no longer the case, then what for this organisation?.We are going to the next nearest dealer.By the way, i have had electric cars since 2013, so i am not doing this out of idle curiosity.

The bottom line is to beware, as Skoda fit inferior parts to their cars, which will end up costing you more money in the long run. My first ever brand new car was a Skoda Scala, however after only 10,000 miles one of the brake discs corroded away so badly that parts of it had flaked off and was causing a very disturbing noise and sensation when braking. Typically a brake disk will last 50,000 miles, so I naturally assumed that this was a faulty part and wanted Skoda to replace it, which I thought was fair enough. However, they denied it being faulty, which means that if it is only lasting a fifth of its lifespan, it is simply inferior. I approached my local dealer, whose hands seemed tied and suggested I went straight to the company (even though, to me, they are one and the same), so I approached Skoda UK directly and this is where the fun really began. After a full month, which involved only 3 phonecalls and many many missed deadlines for someone will call you back I eventually was told (by email) that nothing would be done about this issue. I called them repeatedly to get an update as I felt one emergency stop away from an accident, but nobody called back. It was the worst customer service I have received, probably ever. And I know if they deign to respond we will get the standard Covid boo-hoo response, however this was all during Oct/Nov 2021 at which point just about every company was back to full strength. So, today, after driving around in fear with only 3 working brakes for a month, I got it fixed (for over 100 less than Skoda quoted) and the garage told me that they have never seen a disk in such a bad condition at this age. Terrible customer service, a blatant disregard for customer safety and if anything happens to your car outside of the first 6,000 miles, no matter what it is, they couldnt care less. First Skoda, and while the car is fine, I will never by buying one again knowing that they are filling their cars full of sub-standard parts.

Skoda offer a 10 or 12 year paint warranty on their cars. When I made a corrosion claim it was refused. The parts man that issued the claim couldnt even give me a genuine reason for it being turned down. He also proceeded to tell me that there has only been one corrosion claim approved in their Skoda dealership. This would say to me that their corrosion warranty is a scam and their not actually following through with them, its just away to sell cars by saying they offer it. I rang Skoda uk and was more or less told they cant overturn the garages decision. Personally I will never be buying another Skoda due to the corrosion and its less than 10 years old and them not covering it.

I purchased a new octavia in January, Ive had a few issues with software glitches and trim quality isnt the best(rattles and cheap plastic) My big issue is I just recently had the first service done at 16,000kms and I reported that I had a vibration through my brake pedal when braking. They later reported that it was warped discs causing the vibration. Long story short is the dealer I bought it from said it wasnt covered under the warranty, I also contacted Skoda Ireland costumer care and they said the same and that I would have to pay 350 if I want them fixed/replaced. How is defective brakes on a car with such little mileage and not even 12 months old not covered by manufacturers warranty. First and last skoda Ill ever buy! The dealer is Noel Deasys, Cork

Ordered an Enyaq iv 80 back in September. Were approaching the 3 month mark and no build date, no delivery date and cant get any communication out of anyone, not from the retailer and certainly not customer services. I realise that there are challenges in the industry, but this lack of communication is unacceptable for a 55k car. Then when I look at Trustpilot and Im genuinely surprised at how bad the reviews on service are - now considering cancelling.
