The score is for Renault Uk NOT Renault Enfield. Update regarding the terrible service given by Renault Enfield. I can confirm that with Chloes help from Renault UK my refund and loan payment have been actioned. Without Chloes help, a Senior manager with Renault UK, I believe this would have rolled on. Buyers beware when dealing with Renault Enfield - I am very relieved and will no longer update this review - Rob

We bought a Renault Captur (70 plate) from Renault Bolton at the end of September 2021.....in just over 3 months we have had to call out Renault Assist 3 times as the car wouldnt start, leaving us having to cancel plans etc and struggle to get to work. We have contacted the local dealer and also Renault customer service and both have been less than helpful! Our car has finally been booked in to be looked at, however at a cost of 15 to us to cover the insurance on a courtesy car! I have complained to Renault asking why I should be out of pocket when they have clearly sold me a faulty car but they are not willing to refund this as it is to cover me I understand this but why should I be out of pocket? I would not recommend Renault to anybody! The service since I drove the car off the forecourt has been despicable!!! Avoid!

Im the craziest company, I bought the car from Arnold Clark and when I asked where I can do the services they said that at any authorized service, not to come to them ... then when its time to change my oil and plates I called the brake and I cant say its a pandemic if I want more than 3 months, I went to another service and then to the next problem, to the car to tell me that I have no guarantee that the service was not done properly

I brought a Renault Captur 900cc 3 cylinder 18 plate. 15000 miles. The very next day I got my car I noticed a clutch judder only when cold. Judder happens only 3 or 4 times then ok The dealer explained to me this is normal for 3 cylinder engine. Something to do with oil circulation. 3 times I brought this car back and 3 times with this excuse. I have been in contacted with the RAC and car magazines all say they have never come across this issue. So confused.

I worked hard to order a brand new Renaultsport Megane 275 Trophy in 2015 with a 4 year warranty. With this due to expire in early 2019 I got in touch with my dealer regarding getting issues resolved. Namely a Recaro driver seat that had wear on the bolsters (a known problem where owners of older Renaultsport Meganes had the seats replaced), corroding B pillar door catches (unseen on a car even double its age) and a low speed creak coming from the wheel arch. Come lockdown last year it hadnt been sorted and covid put things on hold until a year ago.In August 2020 when restrictions were lifted I was up in the north of Scotland and got stranded when my aux belt decided to fail prematurely and take out my engine. The car was up there for 2 weeks with a busy mechanic who said there was no compression. I got it towed to Rentec in Edinburgh (independent specialists) who confirmed all the pistons and valves were badly damaged. A month later I had sourced a new old stock 275 engine and had them fit it.With the engine failure and the outstanding warranty issues I wrote a complaint to Renault UK. They got in touch a few weeks later and basically washed their hands of the engine issue with no real apology. The car was on just under 53k and 5 years old with it due on 72/75k or 6 years, but because I didnt do all my servicing with Renault they didnt want to know. There was talk of compensation that I never got. I also offered to send the damaged auxiliary belt (which I still have) for them to inspect but there was no interest.Moving forward to May this year I finally got the car in for the seat repair but when I got it home I realised they only fixed 1 bolster. I got back onto them and they said I had to take it in again then again for another time for the catches. The creaking issue was long forgotten about. I stated I want to take it in to have everything done at the same time / visit instead of having to take it in multiple times. The service manager at Aberdeen seemed happy to authorise any repairs but Renault UK do not and now have simply started to ignore my emails. Renault UK have also blocked me from their Facebook page because I posted up my story since they are unwilling to engage with me. This has caused me a great deal of stress and also cost me over 4000 to get the engine replaced which came at a time I was made redundant from my job. I take great pride in my car and spent a lot of money buying it brand new in 2015. To also be ignored and blocked is totally unacceptable in terms of customer service.Based on this I can never recommend buying a new Renault. Whilst my Megane is one of the greatest hot hatches of all time and fantastic to drive it has been the most unreliable car Ive owned combined with the absolute worst, ignorant and disgusting customer service ever, with being blocked a new low and a total slap on the face especially when it would be so simple to get this all fixed and acknowledge the catastrophic failure of my engine.I beg you not to give these clowns your hard earned money, because once its taken they arent interested and will wash your hands of you no matter how big your problem is.Edit: Update since I posted this, all they have done is offer me a 200 voucher towards repairs and now trying to say because the repairs didnt get completed before the warranty expired they dont apply. Funny how they did do partial repairs after this date and therefore have contradicted themselves. Ill now be writing to Watchdog on this

Awful service when something goes wrong. I had a brand new Renault Zoe with just 259 miles on it when it had an electrical issue and was undrivable. Had to get the car recovered to the nearest garage and because theyve been cutting costs this was 40 minutes away since they closed the Maidstone one. When it was recovered Renault refused to accept it and said they couldnt look at it till January! So not only did they build a dodgy car they then offer a awful service. Next time Id go with a different car maker

Owned Renault for years and bought a 66 plate Captur on a lease 2 years ago, regularly serviced and only 42,000 miles, major electrical fault rendering car useless, failed 8/11/21 and still at dealer with no end in site in getting my car back. The dealer is not interested in my plight having no car to assist in caring for my elderly mother and right before christmas, messaged Customer Care to request an investigation and request a courtesy car but declined, yet another attempt at big business blaming everything on the pandemic. I think they missed my point, yes, it is a struggle without a car and waiting for parts due to a worldwide shortage, but the issue we have is that the dealership has no proper clue what the issue is and they are trying a stab in the dark approach at rectifying the fault. The Renault UK and dealership websites quote highly trained trained technicians knowing the vehicles inside and out, but they are waiting to exchange parts off other customers cars when a similar car comes in, which, I dont believe is reflective of anyone highly trained. Id be quite upset if I knew my car was having parts removed to help fix somebody elses vehicle. Parts have been purchased for it but it hasnt rectified the fault. The car is well below average mileage, is currently on a paid lease, has been regularly serviced by the repairing dealership, if this was a new Renault it would be covered up to 5 years and 100,000 miles. I agree it would still be slightly out of warranty for age but a serious electrical fault has rendered the car useless and stranded my sister at the side of the road for 10 hours and until 3am.From past and current experience of car ownership it doesnt necessarily require a car to be in warranty to at least offer a courtesy vehicle and I think this is poor from a major motor manufacturer and the least they could do.Im sorry if I didnt make this clear but all of the above is the reply I received from Renault Customer relations! Case No 4-11875170.Thanks for your reply but its Monday morning on the following week and still havent heard anything from my case manager at Customer Relations or from the dealership??? Ive just called the workshop at the dealership myself and they said they have no clue what the issue is or offered any time I might get my car back, this is ridiculous and totally not what I thought Id get from a large motor manufacturer!!! Paying a lease for no car!!

Following my previous review of 14th December, not a single person from Renault UK or retail have contacted me, despite their initial reply stating my complaint had been passed to a case manager to investigate. I have telephoned several times, speaking to Russell and Elliott at RENAULT UK and to RCI finance. They have all sympathised with my position and all stated I should be refunded and would try and get someone to look into my case but so far, nothing. Renault UK and Swansea have no concept of customer service and no ethics when dealing with safety concerns. The Zoe remains zero stars for safety and their customer care is less than zero. I have no alternative now other than to consider legal action to recover my deposit. Anyone considering purchasing from Renault should be worried. If anything goes wrong, they ignore you.

I recently contacted Renault in regards to an issue where I had two fuel injectors need to be replaced at 20,000 miles within two weeks of each other. Whilst customer services were initially supportive, when I was unsatisfied with their standard response (supported by my garage) the customer service representative was uninterested, detailed my complaint inaccurately, wrote particularly poorly constructed responses that I would say I felt were inappropriate and trying to close me down using terms I already told you when in fact he said he would document the approach in an email to me. Renault feel free to get out the recording to hear the e case manager say sure continuously. The level of professionalism was low, and when I asked for records to show me the expected lifespan of the fuel injector part, which should be readily available in a complaint department I was told They cannot produce this. As a person who has worked on data analytics for parts replacement in aerospace technology, I hate to admit I know all this exists for warranties and can be provided when requested. This fails to prove to me that two failed fuel injectors at 20k, with an expected life of 50-100k each, means the product was sub standard, which then breached the sales of good act. Whilst they have eventually paid for the amend, I feel this was dealt with so very poorly. I went to an approved dealer and waited over 2 months for resolution having also been in for diagnosis 4 times in 5 months.I am the market for a new car, and was considering electric. I feel this will be plagued with problems and Im now wary to proceed with this dealer.

I am very disappointed by the poor response by Renault Uk Customer Relations.I ordered a packet of attachment rings for my Renault Captur that were listed on the Renault Shop website, alongside a photo showing what they looked like.I was sent a packet of different attachment rings (for a Dacia Duster). When I phoned Renault Shop to point out that I had been sent the incorrect ones, I was told they had sent the ones I had ordered because they were the only ones they had. When I pointed out that they did not match the photo of those Shown on the website, I was told I would have to contact Customer Relations to sort it out.I phoned Customer Relations to try to resolve the matter. After contacting Renault Shop, the response was that I had been sent the parts ordered because it was the only type they had, but that if I didnt want them, I could return them - they would refund the cost of the wrong attachment rings but not the postage.I replied enclosing photos both of the item ordered on the website, and the wrong items received. I pointed out the problem had arisen because Renault had failed to send the part shown on their website, and it was reasonable that Renault should refund the post &packing costs (and the cost of returning the wrong item)Customer Relations responded by merely repeating it was ready to refund the costs of the part but not the p&p BUT after I returned the wrong item, they would speak to management about refunding p&pI replied reiterating my earlier email. They replied reiterating their earlier email.I replied reiterating my earlier email - againThey replied reiterating their earlier email - again.Ii replied suggesting they speak to management BEFORE responding again. It is disturbing that a major company like Renault UK appears to think that the customer should pay the costs of p&p and return postage when it sends out wrong items.Perhaps Renault UK should take advice from Amazon on its responsibilities when it sends out wrong items! What is surprising is that Renault UK is ready to damage its reputation for a relatively trivial sum of money - a part costing 4.50 and delivery charges of 4.20
