Recently purchased a Vauxhall Grandland 1.5 diesel. The vehicle has automatic gearbox, auto lights, auto wipers and lots of gismos. The car is economical, comfortable with a deep boot which is impossible to see into when its dark because there is no boot light. Absolutely stupid whoever did the design. Almost guarantee that the wiring is there for the light but an extra two pounds for the light was too much.

I have a Vauxhall Astra on a contract (4 years) . I keep it well serviced and maintained. My Astra is 4 years old. I had it serviced and MOT November 21 costing me 326 pounds. have not huge mileage on it- around 60,000 miles I took it to the dealer in February as the screen display has stopped working, They kindly ran diagnostics and told me that these came back clear. I have a blank screen which means I can not use the sat nav, and i can not change radio channels (not the end of the world). I have been told this will cost me just under 1300 to resolve as the whole system needs to be taken out and replaced. . The dealers were great and tried to talk with Vauxhall and were told Vauxhall would offer me a 10% discount- still meaning i would be paying about 1100- 1200I was advised to talk with Vauxhall as in thier view this should not happen to a car of 4 years old. I phoned and was unable to talk with anyone and was told i had to fill out a complaints form on line, it took a week for them to respond to this. They left me a message. It took me 20 mins of repeatedly being put on hold and talking with 3 different staff members all who said it is not me you need to talk with. The 4th person was very sweet and kept telling me she understood but told me that they did not have to offer me anything, she offered to cover 50% of the fee, sounds great but that is still over 600 i need to cover. I was told if I did not accept they would close the complaint and that would be the end of it. I have been assured by the dealers that this is not wear and tear of the car nor is it anything that I have done to the car. As i do not have the money I have had to walk away from this.I rely on my screen to drive around the area i work in (East Anglia) - this is why i brought the car. As I travel a lot with my work it is essential that i have a sat nav. I also am now stuck and will have to purchase a plug in sat navWhen I hand the car back i will be penalised by this screen not working with my contract. On googling this problem it is common with Vauxhall Astra year 2016 I found several reviews stating similar issues with the screens on Astra forums, auto insider website- several different threads . This site will not let me put the links on to evidence. I am also having to pay this month nearly 100 for work to be done on the back lights that have also stopped working- that is just under 500 in 3 months plus the money for the screen. sadly the sat nav has had to be left due to my finances not being able to cover 600-700 pounds this month- or the next.I have driven Vauxhalls for some years but saddened by poor customer service and exuberant costs for a system that clearly has no obvious problems and lots of people complain about

I am astounded that these companies are still in business!. As others have said lousy customer care once they have your money!. Both companies Vauxhall (and Thurlbys of Louth) have displayed equal amounts of (breathtaking) arrogance, contempt, deceit and meanness. Playing pass the buck to avoid taking responsibility!. To sum up - they put profits before customer satisfaction!.

I bought a new Grandland x within 10 months the steering wheel started to delaminate, Vauxhall Customer Services said it was fair wear and tear!!!!!!After a lot of complaining Vauxhall replaced the steering wheel.Driving at 50mph the +terminal jumped off the battery, came to a sudden halt in the outside lane of a duel carrageway.Went in for its 1st MoT end of Jan 2022, failed because front tyre was in damgerious condition.I only drive round town and have covered 12,500 miles. Internet says that front tyre should last at least 20,000 miles.

The warranty is pretty worthless if you purchase second hand and not from a dealer. They will make it virtually impossible to use. Customer services no help whatever and their site only interested in flogging you more. Update, after above review their customer service called explained I should have had the car towed to their dealer, at my expense, where they could assess whether the problem would be covered by warranty. So a more appropriate title would be worthless if you live more than 2 miles from a vauxhall garage I guess this might be normal - never had a car fail on me in warranty before, but at least my previous Mitsubishi ford at least had a number to call

Three weeks ago the brakes failed on my 13 plate Corsa my local garage had a look and told me the abs pump had failed.when I purchased the car it came with a 100,000 mile or lifetime warranty. All is good I think untill I call vauxhall customer care. It took five phone calls 2 weeks an email to the CEO before a case handler called and who was adamant that there was nothing vauxhall could do because the car was 8 years old and after explaining that the car was under warranty she told me she would have to consult someone and call me back. I expect another two weeks will pass or I may never hear from them again . Just dont bother buying vauxhall because if anything goes wrong your car could be of the road for months.

Just been charged 660 by a Vauxhall main deeler to replace two exhaust temperature sensors showing as faulty on the diagnostic tester. Vehicle is an Astra diesel and had only 50000 miles on it When I complained about the cost to Vauxhall Customer Care they said there was nothing they could do. Less than useless in my opinion. Cant risk any further problems resulting in expensive repairs. The car is now being traded for a focus which, from previous experience, is a much more reliable vehicle and the dealerships are a lot fairer to their customers.

I just want to Thank SLM Group Vauxhall. I had a terrible experience from another reputable brand who gave me a failed MOT based on there claim that my ABS pump was broken, i questioned if they were sure the pump was infact broken and they reassured me that the actual pump had cracked. I then took my car to Vauxhall to get the broken ABS pump fixed, only to find out that the pump was fine and the cable had come loose. The other company wanted to charge me in excess of 1000 to fix the non broken ABS pump. Kelsie kept in contact with me through out the day and she was very professional, they could of just said yes its broken and charged me 1000 but they were honest and I cannot thank them enough for that. Thank you Kelsie and SLM Vauxhall. I will now drive the 1 hour to get to you guys when ever my car needs to come in.

Terrible! the Corsa has a 20 year history of timing chain problems that Vauxhall GM have never addressed. This is a persistent design problem. Their solution has been to make the price 750 for a replacement kit whose real value is around 200. This ensures a good revenue from bad engineering. What a rip off. Do not buy a new Corsa until you have read reviews about timing chain problems. They can start at 40 000 miles.

Had a serious issue on my vauxhall crossland less than 4 years old low mileage and oil pressure warning on top of a blown spark plug drive belt replaced and plugs and oil pick up blocked with debris assume from timing belt engineComplained to customer care, very kind lady did her best but unfortunately could not help as believed what dealer was telling them ,as said engine flush damaged car ,my fault ,my garage and maker of product deny this and Im left with a large bill of 2400 ,without a car for weeks and dealer is less helpful and no contribution to costs, disgraceful and off to motor omnbudsmen and if that fails small claims court. The moral of the story do not buy a vauxhall crossland its riddled with poor components and a wet timing belt that barely lasts 30000 miles and 4 years So not buy as they should have been recalled ,an absolute disgrace .Bye bye vauxhall what a way to run a business and lack of customer care.PSA group appalling bring shame to the vauxhall name and will loose all their customers and fail as a business and their dealers are very unhelpful and tell lies. You can run and refuse to reply to reviews and blame your customers but you can not hide and the day of reckoning is coming .Your CEO should be ashamed .Thanks for nothing.

Bought a brand new top of the range Corsa with every extra possible, from day 1 there were numerous faults like the keyless entry not working, stop start not working, heater controls stuck and not responding, dash board rattling, parcel shelf rattling, wing mirror vehicle passing lights not working, stereo turning itself of with a huge bang through the speakers.. the list goes on. Booked into Selly oak Vauxhall in Birmingham who had the car for a day and put some awful looking sticky foam tape on the parcel shelf and reset the ECU, 20 min in the workshop at best. I was to then monitor the vehicle and rebook another visit.. Everything was still broken the second i left the dealer including the rattle pacel shelf with the awful foam tape. On my second visit they wanted the car for 2 days to charge the battery (ONLY), on booking in they wanted my driving licence for the second time for the courtesy car, while infront of him was a photocopy of my licence they taken the week before, i dont carry my licence with me constantly and was not told i needed to, appointment had to to canceled.Phoned customer services who put me onto another main dealer in Stourbridge, who after 2 cancelations due to the curtousy car not being available and 2 months later the lastest is We will ring you on friday.. 3 fridays have passed guys still wainting on the phone call.Customer services rang me to see how the inspection went...Which obviously never happened and now I am to let them know when it gets booked in some where!!?.. Even tried to book in at Halesowen motorhouse who I vowed to never use again after ripping me off with my Astra I bought from them a few years back, Joe in the service department was not helpful in the slightest and basically refused to look at the car as Selly oak Vauxhall had reset the ECU.I currently have no booking in at any branch, customer services are useless, had Vauxhalls all my life and this is for sure the last one.
