Hyundai Motor Company, often abbreviated to Hyundai Motors and commonly known as Hyundai, is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967.

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport is a sportier and more performance-oriented version of the standard Hyundai Elantra compact sedan. It's designed to offer a more engaging driving experience and additional features for those who want a bit more excitement from their daily commute. Here are some key features and specifications of the 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport:

Engine: The 2018 Elantra Sport is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, making it significantly more powerful than the base Elantra models.

Transmission: It typically comes with a 6-speed manual transmission for enthusiasts who prefer a more hands-on driving experience. However, there is also an available 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for those who prefer automatic shifting.

Sport-Tuned Suspension: The Elantra Sport features a sport-tuned suspension, which includes stiffer springs and dampers, as well as unique tuning for improved handling and a more responsive ride.

Exterior Styling: The 2018 Elantra Sport has a distinct exterior appearance with sporty elements such as a more aggressive front grille, unique alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets.

Interior: Inside the Elantra Sport, you'll find a well-appointed cabin with sporty touches. Features may include sport seats with leather upholstery, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and unique interior trim.

Technology: The Elantra Sport comes with a range of technology features, including a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity, and available navigation systems.

Safety: Hyundai prioritizes safety, and the Elantra Sport typically comes with standard safety features such as antilock brakes, stability control, multiple airbags, and a rearview camera. Advanced safety technologies like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning may be available on higher trim levels.

Reliability: Hyundai vehicles, including the Elantra, are generally known for their reliability. The 2018 Elantra Sport typically received good ratings in this regard.

Fuel Efficiency: Despite its sportier nature, the Elantra Sport still offers reasonable fuel efficiency, especially when equipped with the automatic transmission. Fuel economy may vary depending on driving conditions and the chosen transmission.

It's important to note that the specific features and options available may vary depending on the trim level and packages chosen when purchasing the vehicle. If you are considering buying a used 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport, be sure to research the trim level and features of the specific vehicle you are interested in to ensure it meets your needs and preferences. Additionally, check for any recalls or maintenance issues that may apply to the particular car you are considering.

Never buy a Hyundai!!! I bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited and I have had nothing but regrets. Everything that could possibly go wrong, HAS! I had the famous engine failure in December 2016. It just stalled and seized on the highway and the useless Agincourt Hyundai dealership in Toronto that I took it to DID NOT EVEN PRESENT THE CASE TO HYUNDAI CANADA INITIALLY. They just asked me to bring $9,000 for an engine replacement. I had to call Hyundai Canada myself, and they also tried to void my warranty until I threatened legal action. They finally gave me a "new engine" and less than a week later, my driveway was an oil pool, the engine oil leak was so bad that my dipstick dried up in days!Besides the engine issue, there has been countless MIL (check engine light) illuminations: from 02 sensor to catalytic converter to issues with the gutless turbo the car has. The shocks and struts on the car are so useless too, they have been changed severally. The wheel alignment is the worst, it's like it loses alignment every 3000 km! I do not drive badly, but somehow this piece of garbage always pulls to one side even after an alignment. The sunroof creaks! My backup camera chooses when it's going to work, on other days it just shows me a blue screen when in reverse! The sound system is total nonsense (I have the dimension system)! I REPEAT: DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI!!

My wife purchased a 2006 NEW Hyundai Sonata. We have always been avid "AM News" Listeners and from day 1 the radio was worse than Poor for "AM". We complained and complained and all they ever said was that the antenna in the rear window was a poor design for an antenna and that was the problem. Well, my wife just purchased a New 2014 Hyundai Sonata and I took the 2006 - since I drive far less miles annually - and now I was determined to get to the problem. When I would drive the car sometimes going over a bump on the road would instantly increase the radio's reception but it would last then go back to crappy again. Sometimes as I would start the car and back out of the garage the reception would be great - then 5 minutes later it was back to crap. One day, in the garage, as I was backing out - the reception was jumping back and forth from Poor - Good - Poor to Good - so I whacked the dashboard over the radio with my hand and there was "DEAD SILENCE". I turned the car off and then back on and the radio came on but with the typical Weak reception.I purchase the Haynes/Chilton Auto Repair Guide, for the 2006 Hyundai as well a CD Hyundai Shop Manuals, and watched several YouTube videos on how to remove the radio. With the radio removed and exposed - but connected - I started wiggling/moving the antenna cable around and sure enough the reception would go to Great - Poor - and NONE. As I was holding the radio with one hand and changing the station with the other hand I also noticed that if my hand squeezed or put pressure on the top and bottom of the radio - on the Antenna connection side - (in order to hold the radio) the Reception might also go from Great to Poor to None.I could see that the antenna cable connector was CHEAP looking with the center core of the cable soldered - but the Ground wires were crimped and DID NOT look there was a good connection. So I went to Radio Shack and purchased another Motorola Antenna Connector and re-did the connection to the cable. With the radio still exposed and the antenna cable connected with the new Radio Shack connector the radio sounded great. And squeezing didn't seem to have any effect as before. So I put the radio back in and left the pods on the sides of the radio disconnected - temporarily. The measured depth of the New Radio Shack Connector was slightly "Longer" than the original Cable Connector so it was putting some pressure on the cable and the connection and the radio began to act -up again when installed so I removed the radio (which removed the pinching pressure on the cable) and the radio worked fine.So now it is possible that there is a bad connection, internally, on the Female part of the Antenna cable connection to the radio. I tested the continuity for the Ground and hot points to the cable connection - while I had the radio out and they tested "OK" - but the test was not under a pressure stress, either. So the bottom line is that Hyundai Continues to LIE and ** about the AM Radio Problems with the 2006 Sonatas. Unlike the most recent excuse from Hyundai Service at Lester Glenn in Toms River, New Jersey, the problem is NOT with the Rear Window-Designed Antenna - it's the cheap Connectors, Crappy Radios and the ** Service people who don't want to do their job of fixing your car under warranty. My wife took out the 100,000 miles / 10 year Bumper to Bumper Extended Warranty with Hyundai when she bought the car so now - After 6-8 Hours of MY TIME and the expenses to buy workshop materials - I am going to raise Hell with Hyundai USA!

I bought an extended warranty to 10 years/100,000 miles. Yet, anytime I have a warranty issue Hyundai refuses to honor the warranty. Radiator fails - they decline, O2 Sensor fails - they decline, Struts fail - they decline. What did I pay additional monies for to have the extended warranty?

I am an owner of a Fluidic Verna CRDI. I delivered it from SS Hyundai, Mavelikkara two months before. After one month, my a/c pipe got bent and holed resulting on the complete gas drain out. Even after at the time of service, the service center was not ready to replace the a/c pipe. They were asking Rs7000/- for replacement. Also, extreme black smoke is coming from the exhaust itself. What should I do?

Car has been reliable. Good fuel consumption -- diesel. Reverse never engaged smoothly. Needed to replace automatic transmission at 180,000 kms. They don't make cars like they use to – sold my Subaru at 320,000 without any of these problems.

OEM radio not covered under any warranty. I have a 2015 Santa Fe. One hour after I took delivery, a HID headlight started flickering. Astonishingly, Hyundai denied the claim initially as it's a ‘wear and tear’ part. An hour old… Eventually, they caved and replaced it. 3 years later, the Infotainment unit started looping on startup. Despite their vaunted 5-year warranty, and the 7-year extended Hyundai branded warranty I bought, it's not covered. $4000 OEM, and Hyundai could not have cared-less if they tried. Do not trust hyundai – not the car, not the company, not the warranty. Not even the dealership. Avoid at all costs. And costs be sure!

Not happy with AC drainage system or Checks before delivery, AC drainage continue after engine stops - I did checks for more than 2 weeks from office to home and home to office. The drain continue even after 4 hours or 7 hours of engine stops in form of droplets.

Purchased a 2013 veloster turbo in feb 2014 off showroom floor... Purchase price 39 588 with extended warranty which at time of purchase was told warranty was bumper to bumper... Not long into owning the car problems started... Sensors navigation power windows airbag replacement just to name a few... All covered by Hyundai warranty... Now at 114 km was informed car needs new engine... which of course extended warranty will not cover... They deemed it normal wear and tear... Really?... When I complained to canada hyundai and ontario hyundai nobody wants to pay for it... Customer service at hyundai canada was appalling. Was basically told "Oh well too bad you are on your own"... Would not even give me a number for corporate hyundai...Now my question is... This make and model has already had a recall on the engine... Hyundai fix a computer upgrade. My question is how can hyundai canada sell this car on the market knowing from the get go this 2013 turbo had engine problems... Supposedly by the 2014 model they fixed the issues... Unfortunately this does not help me... The attitude from canada hyundai when I approached them for a fix was... not their problem... Would not do one thing to help me... Washed their hands of it... Hyundai canada once they get your 40.000 dollars that's it... I asked them who pays 40.000 for a car and needs an engine replacement at 114 000 km... HYUNDAI... Their customer service needs revamped... So disappointed in Hyundai's reaction...Would advise do not purchase hyundai as they certainly do not stand behind their product... They passed off the problem to the consumer. This is a prime example of a cheaply manufactured car for a very expensive price... Hyundai canada would not help me at all... Very rude and unprofessional head office... My advice stay away from purchasing a Hyundai veloster turbo or any hyundai product... When you have problems with their vehicle they are certainly not going to help you, as was proven in this case... Totally gobsmacked at Hyundai's response...

My vehicle has less than 5000 miles. We were leaving lunch at a restaurant about 25 miles from our home and the car developed a sound in the right front fender, well like something rubbing.and I pulled over to check. The plastic fabric that lines the underside of the right front wheel well had come loose and was dragging on the road. I called Hyundai on road service and they were going to send a car carrier and haul my car to Newnan Georgia 18 miles farther in the other direction to a Hyundai dealer. I was in a school entrance so I then pulled up and I assume the tire ran over the plastic fabric and pulled it loose. I got out and picked up the piece about 12 inches by 8 inches. I noticed the rest of the lining under the wheel well was loose and was being held by a groove in the edge of the fender. The right front fender was separated from the bumper and I was able to push the lining back inside the groove and with the palm of my I tapped on the side where the fender and bumper connected and the two pieces stayed together. I checked and a Hyundai dealer was within 12 miles of my home, I called Hyundai road recovery back and told them I could drive the vehicle to the Hyundai dealer in McDonough, Georgia. We drove to the dealer in McDonough and was told by maintenance that the vehicle was involved in a wreck. I questioned this and was then told that the one (1) mechanic to handle Hyundai vehicles said to take it to their body shop. The maintenance supervisor then indicated that the right front bumper had been hit and it looked like a vehicle in a parking lot had hit the right front fender. When I questioning this he said even a shopping cart in a shopping lot could have hit the bumper and separated the fender from the bumper. We took the vehicle to the body shop and the supervisor said the vehicle was not involved in a wreck. He looked under the right front fender and said he thought the fender separated from the right front side of the bumper after the clips that hold the fender to the bumper had snapped. The fender and the bumper showed no outward scratches or dents. He said Hyundai would not consider the separation of the fender from the bumper to be under warranty. He stated the fender clips could not be repaired and the fender could not be reattached to the bumper instead the bumper would have to be replaced as well as the underside of the wheel well. The estimate would be in excess of $1,400.00. I purchased the vehicle for its looks, warranty and its history of reliability. What else can I expect to fall apart on this vehicle? The vehicle looks like it is very cheaply made and Hyundai has cut corners in the materials used in the assembly of the vehicle. I don't feel safe in the vehicle. I made a mistake moving from Toyota to Hyundai.
