Two hours after purchase of a 2015 Ram 1500 ecodiesel the back window failed to operate. I had to give my new truck back for service to work on it overnight. Now, Im at 1700 miles, currently sitting in the service department waiting room with another issue. On my way to work this morning a check engine light came on with a message service DEF see dealer. I am fuming mad and feel like Ive purchased a 50,000 dollar lemon.

The 1994 through 1997 Dodge Rams with the V10 engine had an ignition control module that selected the proper ignition coil. About 2002, Dodge discontinued this part (#56027978). As a result, when this part fails, the engine will only run on 6 cylinders and since there are no replacements, the truck is unrepairable. In my case, I have a truck with only 112,000 miles on it and it is only good for salvage. Retail value on this truck is about $8500 if it were running right, and I will have to eat the loss as the dealer wont even take it as a trade-in.

I been trying to have my Dodge Ram Truck 2012 fixed since earlier this year. Each time I bring the Ram to shop I been told it cannot be repaired because the part for the recall is not available. Each time I call a case is open up and a few days or weeks later the case is closed for one or another reason. The last case was open on 11/9 and I was instructed to bring the Ram to the shop. My son went to the local Dodge Country Dealer, and was told the part is not available till Feb. 2019 and there is nothing they can do. Meanwhile the Ram make a terrible noise after the gear jumps out on low speed, intersections or red lights and no one will touch it to see what the problem is because of the recall.Mrs. **, a manager, called and stated after her research between the Dodge Dealer and the Parts Department at Dodge, that recall part is only shipped out in a number of 5 and only every 7 days. We are on the list at the Dodge Country dealership but this does not help much because even that Dodge Dealer states there so many trucks and not enough parts. This is not acceptable and I request that something is done. I have a 2012 Dodge Ram Truck with a bit over 63000 miles and I am barely driving it because of the concern to cause more damage to the transmission. It seems that Dodge customer service does and cannot assist with this issue. I send letters, called, posted on the Dodge website and all I get is: Sorry there is nothing we can do back because Mopar Parts does not ship more than 5 parts at the time.

I bought a new Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 on 03/26/2012. The warranty has run out. The truck currently has about 60k + miles on it. The truck started making a whining noise from the rear end. I brought it to my local Dodge dealer to get it looked at. Turns out its the rear end pinion bearing that went bad. The mechanic told me that I might be in luck and that there might be a recall on this rear end. He did some research and found out my VIN number did not match the recall. The repair that the recall calls for is the same repair they did on my truck. The pinion bearing they took out of the truck was trashed due to lack of proper lubrication, the reason for the recall. I called the RAM customer assistance office and received no assistance with this repair. This lack of lubrication condition could cause the pinion bearing to seize and cause a loss of vehicle control and or cause a crash without warning. The last sentence was pulled directly from the recall advisory that for some reason does not include my truck yet the problem I had is just like the recall. RAM really needs to get this checked out before someone is injured. If you own a 2012 Ram 1500 get it checked out. Safety Recall K36.

Just purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tate Dodge in Glen Burnie, MD 1 1/2 hrs away, 3 weeks ago. I started hearing a chirping noise at 5 mph on turns or driving straight after 4 days of purchasing. I took it to a closer Dodge dealer for inspection and they said truck has water damage . The technician says there is a lot of caked on mud, rust all the way in the bottom to top of vehicle. He explained that it shows signs of water damage. I explained this to Tate and they refused to refund me my money and no one has fixed the chirping sound.

I own a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually truck, and it has 64,900 miles on it. I took it to an authorized factory warranty service center for mopar. They have told me that I need either a rebuild or new transmission. I opted to get the new transmission from Chrysler/Mopar. I sent an email to Chrysler.com. I explained that I have less that 65,000 miles on the truck and that I had to pay $4,000. I received a call from Sabrina; she said that my truck was still under warranty, and she would investigate.Chrysler will not pay for my transmission since I did not go to an authorized Chrysler service center, and they did not do the work. I explained that the transmission alone is under warranty, and it is a Mopar part. The service center I took it to is an authorized factory warranty service center for Mopar. Sabrina said that since Chryler did not do the diagnostic or service on it, they cant reimburse me. I have explained that I am asking for a reimbursement for the transmission and not for the labor, installation or diagnostic.

Bought my Laramie in April 2014. Always was a Ford man - decided to try the Cummins. Bought brand new and wow this is the biggest letdown of my life. Since the second week of buying both front seats came apart at the fasteners and as of 8/21/14 I am waiting for the okay to replace them from Chrysler. The fourth week came around with a check engine light on so with broken seats that ripped my wifes dress I took it to the dealer. They said they cant figure out the code it produced so they just reset it. Two weeks later it was on again along with def service at dealer also tire pressure monitor system failed and the data radio has lost all presets and cuts in and out. Took to another dealer and they said theyre ordering parts and the radio had a recall. One month later came out from work to drive the two hour ride home from work - truck wont start, had to wait for tow truck. Now I am at a third dealership with my 68 thousand dollar truck chained down to a tow truck and I repeat the process of explaining the broken seats check engine light def service light tire monitoring needs service radio data system is still broke after the first recall etc. They call me a week later saying it is all fixed...I drove the two hours back making my wife miss work because they wont issue a truck to borrow while yours is getting fixed. Show up and nothing is fixed but they ordered all the parts. The truck starts though but still has broken seats def service by dealer tire pressure monitoring service are all still there. They ordered parts and will call. They told me it was a loose battery connection. I laughed cause that was my first thought as I checked it being I am a local 12 heavy equipment mechanic for the last 18 years and had my service truck right there. They lie cause I was fed up and got the Chrysler resolution team involved, the day I was stranded two hours away from home not returning to my house until 2am 11 hours after my truck wouldnt start and my wife got off work and picked me up. I have owned the truck 7 months and have been to the dealer 7 times - nothing has been fixed, just ordered with no call backs. After this month Im giving it back to the bank and will have a repossession all because Chrysler fiat ram cares nothing about customer service or their disgusting product. To all my union brothers, dont buy a ram or dodge - it will be a disaster you wont ever recover from. Stick with the Rord super duty or Chevrolet, they wont leave you and yours helplessly stranded lost and confused in the dark.

Dodge Ram has been my dream truck for years. I finally was in a financially sound enough situation I could afford one, brand new, off the lot. I researched for one in my price range with most of the features I wanted within my price range. I decided on a 2022 Ram 1500 quad cab. 7 miles on it when I went to the dealership. I was so excited when they handed me those keys after I signed the papers! I drove off the lot Saturday evening, took my wife to dinner, drove the truck to work on Sunday. I started the truck and the check engine light came on. The dealership was closed on Sunday so I took it back Monday. They told me it was a cylinder 4 misfire due to an injector being stuck in the open position so they replaced it. I got the truck back Tuesday. I drove to the grocery store and home.Wednesday, I got up and went to run an errand. I started the truck and the check engine light was on once again. I took it back to the dealership. Its now Tuesday and I havent seen my truck since I dropped it off. I reached out to Chrysler multiple times, reached out to the dealership who said they were waiting for Chrysler, Chrysler said they were sending a tech out which they have yet to do because they were waiting to hear from the dealership. It has just been a complete disaster at this point of back and forth and I am making payments on a truck Im not even able to drive. The customer service Ive received from both ends is less than acceptable and I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Chrysler nor will I be doing this again.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram truck. I purchased an extended warranty to 100,000 miles. At 95,000 miles, I took the truck in complaining it would not go backwards when in reverse. They talked me into servicing the transmission and said it was fine. At 102,103 miles the reverse clutches in the transmission fell apart and caused the transmission to go out. I thought Dodge would back their product but they said, sorry, the warranty had expired. I really thought this was supposed to be a Ram Tough Dodge Truck but found out otherwise. I had to spend $4,600 to get the truck fixed.

My husband bought this hunk of junk about a week ago & it is the most uncomfortable, ugliest, worst made vehicle I have ever been in. Including being a teenager with old used bombs. It has already been stuck in park, handles horribly, & my back has not stopped hurting since I got in it. I drove it a couple of hours, have been out of it 6 hrs & still in pain. No lumbar support, power seats, heated seats, not even a CD player. Cheap plastic interior & cloth seats that don’t clean. No insulation you can hear every other vehicle motor on the road, & its transmission sounds like an ambulance whining. It needs to go over a cliff. No amenities at all just a big bright screen for the radio which gives you a headache. Needless to say it sounds terrible. Not worth $400. Will get rid of it right away.

I bought a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 in 2010 basically because it looked decent enough and price was less than a Ford or even Chevy. I did this even though many people told me not to due to their experience with problems with owning the truck. Also was told the MPG was far lower than other similar trucks in same weight class. Needless to say I ignored this advice and went ahead and bought it. Now 40,000 miles later and 4 1/2 years I am regretting my purchase. Keep in mind too I am not even pulling a trailer and using it for around town driving. First year I noticed I was getting overall 9 MPG overall which in this day and age is a disgrace. Also the sheet metal is very thin on truck bed. They I guess saved a lot of money here but you will get dent if you lean into in with your clothes. Again no other truck that I have owned does this. Fast forward now to 2014 and the real horror of the lack of quality comes out. In the last two months my window switches and door lock controls on drivers door broke, the gauge that measures outdoor temperature stopped working and the Cup holder broke internally somehow (no outside damage whatsoever just a poorly made device). Well I brought it to Dodge and they see you coming and are trained to hit you hard when you come in the door. Those three little things cost well over 1000 to fix!! Dodge makes parts cheaply and then profits when you come in to fix them. These parts should never break and its criminal IMO when they do break that Dodge hits you so hard to fix them. Also a wire became broken or loose somehow around my license plate and the light wont work. Service tech gleefully calls and says it wont pass inspection without light and says it cost 300 to fix this since access is so hard. I complain. He listens surly just thinking about nothing but his commission or his pay. I took up snow plowing this year in 2015. I have plowed for 15 years with Ford trucks never a problem. That of course all changed here with two hrs into snow plowing with this truck. It became stuck in 4 low and never came out of it till endless attempts. Also I backed into a snowbank muffler clamps and all bent and broke. Again 15 years backing into snowbanks with Ford trucks this never happened. They are reinforced, placed correctly and strong. Not the case with my Dodge - cost I think 500 to fix. This Dodge 2500 is the worst truck have ever owned, its built like a car and they put their heavy duty badge on it for a reason - I have no idea. I will never buy a Dodge truck again nor will anyone in my family or more. I almost did forget when I went to shop for all this serviceman of course tells my transmission fluid and power steering fluid dirty and need to be changed all for another approx 700!! All marked up through the roof, high commissions for service manager? What do you think? I inform him that manual says change transmission fluid at 60k and only if pulling trailer. I am at 42k and no trailer lol. I pass on fluids and get rimmed pretty hard for all else.Really shifty this hole Dodge company.... Oh the line when I pulled up for service was twenty deep.. All SUV, Trucks and cars waiting to be fixed and all looked relatively new too. Big moneymaker for Dodge and Jeep, they build inferior cars and trucks of low quality and profit as us dumb folks parade in to get them fixed. Never again for me!!

I purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab with a 6 lift and 35 tires on 20 rims 2 years ago from a Florida truck dealership. I enjoy doing the car/truck show circuit throughout the Northeast US with friends in it. It’s a beautiful truck and I got thumbs up everywhere I went with it. I was happy with it up until about 6 months ago. I noticed quite a few dimples in the paint on the driver side rear fender. A short period later, like a month, I noticed that the factory paint had a bunch of tiny bubbles in it which looked like pink dots. I took it to a few body shops in my area and 4 out of 5 called it solvent pop. They all said it was a Dodge/Chrysler issue. After speaking to Jamie **, who never returned a phone call to me, they said, No, sorry, but we cant help. Then they followed it with a because I am the second owner.” **! I decided to get it painted myself, so I have it for my spring and summer shows. The cost of a factory color paint job was $9,000-$10,000. A custom two-tone paint job was $11,000-$12,000. So I said screw it and went custom. It’s almost finished. I then spoke with two other Ram specialists (as they call themselves) Marylou and Matt and then they told me that if I would have waited, they could have help. And if I went to a Dodge/Chrysler certified body shop, they could have done something to help me. After hearing this, I flipped out. Why wouldnt they tell me this from the beginning? Why couldnt they have told me this from the start? I also told them I would be happy splitting the cost 50/50, but they said no. So now I am looking to get the entire cost of the factory paint work, as they should give me for all this ** grief.I am still fighting with them about this. Nobody from Dodge/Chrysler other than the dealership owner that I get it serviced at has seen it. I sent photos to Jamie ** and had to send a nasty and a bit personal email to get a response. Within 3 hours, I had a response and I was provided a survey to rate the service. Within another 2 hours of my negative response, an email was sent back to me telling me that they were standing behind their current decision. Why wont Dodge/Chrysler stand behind their product? If they keep up this crap, Detroit is in big trouble.

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4. This truck has had problems hanging in third gear. Went back to dealer for service, no codes and they say can not duplicate problem. Next had problem with it not starting, turn key and just like the battery was dead. After 7-9 times it finally starts. While driving down interstate truck went into neutral by itself, went back to the dealer BOB ALLAN MOTOR MALL, can not duplicate problem. Now the trucks lights go out while driving complete danger to me and whoever I meet on the road. Again same deal, can not duplicate. Contacted Ram customer service. They offered me a trade in assistance program which basically is a slap in the face as anyone who has ever purchased a new truck or car knows inside of two months you are upside down when trying to trade back to the dealer. These people have taught me one thing for sure. Do not buy RAM TRUCKS. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEM ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY. THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS.

Went to dealer about tire pressure light for my 2014 Ram 2500. Changed oil, rotated tires while there. Light was back on by the time I got home. Explained to them that it wasnt the tire since the driver side sensor was off, even after they rotated tires. They decided to replace tire anyway. Light was back on less than ten miles from dealer. Went back the fourth time. Now being told it is the RK module? Which is part of the radio (brain) of the truck. This is back ordered, and they have no time line on it. 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with a severe front-end wobble. I purchased this vehicle used from a Chevy dealership with 46000 miles on it. At 50000 miles I had a violent wobble that started at the right side of the vehicle, spreading to the left, then moved to the back of vehicle. This wobble shook all in the cab of the truck. I returned the vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased in April 2011. There was no problem found with the front of the vehicle, so the dealership contacted a local Chrysler dealership that had no knowledge of known front end problems but suggested it could be caused by a worn tire. This dealer rotated the tires, balanced, and did a front-end alignment, which was covered by an extended warranty I had purchased; yet no failed components were found. This death wobble (as shown on the net) continued and at the present time it is at a Chrysler dealership. I have been contacted by the business stating they found no failed components, so the insurance will not cover any repairs; but the dealership feels it is the steering box linkage, which can be replaced at one thousand dollars (my cost) without a guarantee that it will fix the problem. Chrysler has known about the problem for years and has not come up with a solution to a poor design and will not assist in any repairs. The problem is covered in issue #74 of the TDR (Turbo Diesel Resource) where it talks about possible repairs and after-market business, such a Genos Garage, where they are marketing a BD steering box stabilizer which they state “will eliminate the wobble.” I checked with the NTSB for complaints, only to be advised there have been no deaths reported caused by this wobble. I want consumers to use caution when purchasing a used vehicle 2500 or 3500 Dodge Ram, but I also know that all vehicles does not have the problem or just not reported.

I called the dealership about my 2014 Dodge 1500 Outdoorsman with a bunch of problems. It has only 40.000 km on it. I have to pump the brakes. The service advisor said this was normal. Both bumpers are rusting. I was told it is residual rust by the service advisor. The first time and the second time it was due to road sand and was not warrantied. The truck will do random horn honk and door lock at lights or just sitting parked. It wont do it at the dealer so it is my problem. Engine has bad chain and lifter noise after being parked for 3 to 5 days but the service advisor told me this is normal for that type of engine. After a few hours of driving it starts to get a right hub howl but it wont do it at the dealership so it is my problem until it breaks. After driving a few hours on the highways when you slow down for a light you get different cluck. But because it wont do it at the dealership it is my problem until it breaks. I have reported all this to Chrysler Canada but their answer is well if the dealer cant find it or wont do it at the dealership then wont do anything and the rusting bumpers is normal wear due to road conditions. I payed extra for extended warranty even tire warranty. If I hadnt pay the truck off I would have driven it back to the dealership and walked away. They tell me I can come down and trade it one.

On Oct 31 I was driving to work in my 2013 Ram 2500 Laramie, 58K truck. About 3/10 of a mile before my turn in, the transmission threw itself in 1st gear (from about 45MPH) and the truck completely stalled in the roadway. No gears, transmission would not engage, no power, no go. Had the truck towed to Moss Bros San Bernardino. Moss tells me it will be at least 1 week before they can even LOOK at my vehicle - however it was already towed to the dealer, and as stated before - it was and still is completely inoperable. The following day I receive a call from Moss Bros - stating they THINK a bearing on the input shaft grenades itself through the transmission, and is covered under warranty and theyre going to work on getting a replacement.Fast forward to Friday the 4th I receive a phone call from the dealer and they say they HAVE NOT torn down the transmission case nor done anything to the vehicle. Well how could they have known or hypothesised a bearing went out without even having looked at the vehicle? The following week I receive a phone call from the dealer stating that the transmission will be rebuilt and covered by FCA however, parts are on back order (specifically the valve body). My service writer told me to expect it to be in by the 22nd of November. However, he also mentioned they have brand new transmissions (68RFE) in stock at their local warehouse. However FCA will not authorise a replacement. All while my vehicle has been sitting at the dealership for approx. 2 weeks at this point and I have not been offered a rental vehicle of any sort. So I call FCA Parts escalation and I am told the valve body is on back order and to expect it by the 22nd. November 22 rolls around and I receive a phone call saying that there was an issue with the vendor for the valve body and they are delighted to inform me that the part will arrive the week of the 28th.I explain to FCA parts escalation how this is unacceptable as my work vehicle, revenue generating work vehicle, my fleet vehicle has been out of service for 3 weeks and I cannot do my job with my personal vehicle. I was not offered any kind of rental for my truck being in service for so long either. Parts escalation then assigns me a case manager. Im told to expect a call from the case manager the following day. Never received phone call. The following day I receive a phone call from Felicia in Chrysler Parts escalation and she explains to me that the valve body will be delivered on 12/1/16, however that IS NOT A GUARANTEED DELIVERY DATE AND IS SUBJECT TO FURTHER DELAY. Again, 12/1/16 marks 31 days without my work vehicle.I call my case manager repeatedly only to never receive a callback or even as much as an email. Fast forward to today, 11/28/16. I call my case manager and repeatedly leave voicemails demanding to be called back. After about 4 attempts I get ahold of someone who passes me onto a manager, who then calls my case managers, Irving, directly. Irving explains that Chrysler is not responsible to provide a rental vehicle, nor will they provide a rental vehicle, nor will they compensate for a rental vehicle, nor will they replace the transmission (when the COMPLETE transmission is in stock at the local warehouse) and I will have to wait until the valve body is delivered.I got a complete run-around from him about how FCA is not liable for rentals, nor is the dealership, and nor will they further investigate replacing the transmission with one in the local warehouse to get me back on the road faster. So here I am still without my work truck not being able to do nearly 1/5 of my daily tasks because FCA will not do anything to expedite the repairs on my vehicle. I should also note that the vehicle is currently under the 5 year 100K mileage warranty. FCA corporate has given me nothing but a complete run-around and basically shove it attitude about expediting the repairs on the vehicle or issuing a replacement which would have solved the issue 100% and gotten me back on the road 3 weeks ago.

I purchased my 2014 Ram Express 1500 quad cab 2WD exactly 1 year ago today. I had bad experience with the HERITAGE DODGE DEALERSHIP, Parkville, MD - MILEONE AUTO GROUP. My truck had a recall due to a software update (compass supposed to be moved from my Uconnect 5 to the D.I.C. screen) - that was 2 radios & 2 attempts to fix the problem, still no compass at all in truck. While truck was in shop, the express lane manager said they would do a tire rotation. Well I marked all tires, all they did was switch the 2 front tires to either side. But as the MANUAL STATES: IN ORDER TO DO A CORRECT TIRE ROTATION IS BACK TO FRONT, FRONT TO BACK - NOT RIGHT TIRE TO LEFT & VICE VERSA.The payload capacity of this 2WD 1500 is claimed to be 1900 lbs.+ in the bed of the truck. Now here is the kicker, I load my 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 in the bed & my bed squats down 5 (5 inches) - my Yamaha Grizzly only weighs 686 lbs. with fluids. Currently this $35k truck with only 12k miles & 1-year old KBB is $21k trade-in value. The design of the coil spring, rear springs is great when empty; handles nice & smooth. Add 200 lbs. & go over a speed bump carefully & you will feel the sag/plush/too soft springs bounce you 2-3 times. Add the 686 lbs. & gently go over same speed bump - bump stops, actually hit the axle. Now I have to go & purchase HD coil springs or purchase AIRLIFT ULTIMATE 5000 AIR BAGS SO I CAN NOT ONLY HAUL my 1 quad, but also my 10 x 6.5 open trailer with my wifes sportsman 500 HO Polaris too. For a truck (not really a truck, when you cant haul anything over 200 lbs.) its pretty quick. With the 5.7 Hemi, MPG is 20-23 MPG hwy.

This is my second Ram and it will be the last. I needed a good reliable truck since I travel for a living in it. So I purchased a brand 2014 Ram 1500 crew cab in June 2014. I have put 15k mile on it and love the room and performance of my truck. However, the 8 speed transmission has issues and was in shop for a day. Note: It took 3 weeks for the dealer to get the parts. Im not sure if it’s been fixed since I only got to drive it for about 3 weeks and then it had a major oil leak. I took it to my dealer on Dec. 19th and today is Jan. 3rd and I still do not have my truck. The dealership told me it would be 3 weeks, which is stupid! So, I contacted Dodge and they cannot give me a reason other than they are trying to locate a part. I was referred to a case manager whom hasnt returned any of my 4 calls. Also, I was given the part mgr. number at corp. office. Once again, No return phone calls. I like my truck but, I will not deal with this lack of service from Dodge Ram Trucks. My dealer has been great to deal with but this new V-6 has issue with the oil filter housing and the 8 speed transmission does too. I thought I was buying the truck of the year. But I made a big mistake. Buyer Beware. I wouldnt recommend anyone purchase this truck unless you are looking for trouble.

First I must say that I have had a lot of warranty work done to this vehicle already and that in itself is depression. The brakes however have been a problem since I purchased the truck. Since the first 100 miles I started seeing brake dust build up on my chrome rims. At 30 thousand miles I had it at the dealer for a sensor problem that was under warranty and asked them to check the brakes. I was then informed that I would need all new brake pads because there was a lot of rust on the brakes built up from not driving it as much. So the brakes were changed but the dust problem persisted. So with the price of gas going down I started using the truck more and more. (No more sitting and rusting). Now at 58 thousand miles it was in for the recall and more warranty work and I asked them to check the brakes again. It wasnt hard to detect a problem since I had a loss of power, heavy brake dust build up and when I stopped on a slight incline and put the truck in neutral it did not roll. I was informed by the service department that the arch enemy RUST was back but this time it was because of it being exposed to the harsh climate that I live in. Now I needed all 4 wheels not only brakes but calipers, rotors, pads brackets you name it I needed it replaced, because of RUST! What the dealer was going to charge me amounted to a down payment on a new truck. Although I could do the work myself I had a friend of mine who is a certified mechanic do the work for less than 1 quarter of the cost of the dealer. While doing the repairs he found that the rear axle seals were leaking and had contaminated my parking brake. So I contacted the dealer again and the seals are covered under warranty but, if you havent already guessed the parking brakes are not.Now after reading online and talking with certified mechanics this seems to be a widespread problem with Chrysler vehicles. So should this not be addressed by the National Highway Safety Administration? Perhaps these vehicles should be recalled. Brakes are a safety concern to everyone driving on the roadways, Are they Not? These vehicles are advertised as work horses and machines that are made to tow. So why cant they stop as well. Also after having aftermarket part installed and a few hundred miles later, still no brake dust, mileage has increased by almost 4mpg and it rolls freely when in neutral.

I purchased a brand new 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab with a Cummins and it is the single most regrettable purchase I have ever made. The truck feels like its built to fall apart. It shutters and jerks when I get off the gas. It clunks into and out of gear like a 20 year old truck. There are rattles I can hear already in front and back. The key is currently stuck in the ignition for the 5th time since I bought it and I have a tow truck on the way. Ive driven Fords for 20 years and NEVER dealt with any of this. Do yourself a favor and pick up a Ford. Or, if you insist on a Dodge, contact me and Ill give you a good deal on mine.

We have 2 such pickups at this household and have exact same complaints. We paid over $1100.00 for a GPS/Uconnect system in these vehicles both of which are almost totally worthless. Both of these vehicles are equipped to tow Trailers and both are used to tow Rv Travel Trailers. This crappy GPS sends you on wild goose chases, back roads etc. Its not designed to be used in a tow vehicle at all but there it is and no one wants to step up to the plate and make even a small effort to fix the situation. The dealer says its a product installed at the factory which is not made by Chrysler. I say Chrysler installed it. Its their responsibility to stand behind it and make it work as its advertised to do.I recently went to Canada and it actually showed me driving through fields where no roads exist and the Rt 1 highway I was on has been there over 7 years. Driving south through Maine on Interstate 95, my destination was KOA Campground in Freeport. It told me to exit 95 43 miles before the campground which I done towing a 30-foot trailer. It then proceeded to take me on 5 different country 2 lane roads only to cross 95 two exits below where it told me to exit.Next issue, WiFi. A monthly fee of 34.99 is supposed to give WiFi service up to 150 feet from vehicle. Well that 150 feet is more truthfully 20 feet MAX and the service is so slow. The accessory timer built in the RAM (15 to 20) Minutes shuts power off before you can get connected to a website. This family actually likes both of these vehicles but the High Dollar accessories suck. We will not be buying another RAM Product Simply because of service from Chrysler sucks. The Dealer has tried a lot of things to help but I see it as their hands are tied from no support as Paul Harvey said, PAGE 2.

I had a great experience when I owned my Dodge Ram. The truck was very nice as far as inward and outward appearances, and it was sporty enough for a casual day, for a baseball cap and jeans, and classy enough for a Sunday afternoon tie and shirt day. The gas mileage was much better than I thought and the ride was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of leg space and the engine was as quiet as a mouse. If I ever get to the point when I can afford to purchase another Ram, I would do it in a heartbeat, with no hesitation.

Warranty Service: My 2011 Dodge Truck (VIN **) was taken to Crown Dodge, initially, for a shimmy at 70MPH (on cruise control). The problem was noticed when I decreased my average speed from 75MPH to 70MPH to save gas. The problem exists when ascending/descending long hill. The truck was taken to Crown Dodge 4 times; each time, something was done to correct the fault. However, after being told it was fixed, I drove it home on the I-44 turnpike, and the situation each time was the same. The final analysis was that it is the nature of the beast - that engine has such torque. A local independent repair facility assured me it was not the U-Joints. I took the truck to Central Oklahoma Dodge yesterday and gave the information above. Today, they tell me (Mark) that they cannot duplicate the problem. He (Mark) is going to take the truck on the freeway tomorrow to try to duplicate the problem. My question is, what if he duplicates the problem? Then what? If it is the nature of the beast, nothing can be done. I am unable/unwilling to drive a vehicle with a known problem. I converted to Dodge from Chevy/Ford at the suggestion of my close friend. This is my second Dodge. Please advise soonest. (I am unable to talk on the phone due to Cochlear implant. If you need me to call you, I have to use my CapTel phone.) Thank you.

First off NEVER buy a new Dodge truck!! We bought a brand new 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 DRW... Only having 147 miles on it at 3,000 miles truck went in to the shop for over a month to have tail gate and hood re-painted from having blemished paint from the shipping! At the time of getting re-painted the truck was out of line and pulling terribly to the right... Having electrical issues and squealing brakes! Again at 10,000 miles pulling strongly again to the right we take it back in and get aligned... Right after leaving the dealership the steering leakage comes apart while my wife was driving down the interstate... Went in the shop again for a few weeks... This truck has been through 3 sets of tires and it only has 36,000 miles on it...Since buying this truck it has literally been in the shop every two months the last time which was last week it spent 1 month and 1 week in the shop with the front end coming apart once again in the truck!! We pick it up this week and its shaking so bad its hard to drive and the passenger back ceiling is leaking from the rain!! The truck is covered in ants inside and out they are coming out the vents and steering column!! Called to report our problems once again to Hoover Dodge Jeep and Ram in Summerville, SC only to be treated like a piece of trash!! We are hardly getting to drive the truck because its constantly in the shop but yet the payments are due every single month on time!! So over this company and the dealership!! DO NOT BUY A NEW DODGE!!! Take our advice and just about everyone on this page that is complaining!! This company has went to hell very quickly.

Purchased this 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4 x 4 new and have maintained this vehicle as if it were new the entire time. Serviced reg, kept in garage, never wrecked, NOT in a salt air environment and looks brand new on the inside. Noticed that the paint was coming off on the cab and is degenerating other places. Took it to a body shop to have a quote on painting. Come to find out, Dodge admitted that the paint on this year’s truck was defective & had no clear coat. Contacted Dodge through letters to corporate. There is nothing wrong with the truck except that Dodges paint was defective. As was told to them - there is a very little trade in value due to the paint being defective. Dodge also stated that the paint company has warranties that have nothing to do with Dodge so it would be my responsibility to correct their mistake. Their solution was to give me up to a 4% discount (off the sticker price) on a new truck or would work on a trade in which equals out to approximately $2,000 +/- either way. Dodge also stated that most people dont keep trucks that long. Wow, Dodge needs to spend the money to fix what they knew was wrong to begin with. Pictures are available!

My Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 SLT pickup has a severely cracking dashboard, and it has been an obvious manufacturers defect for many years. It is getting to the point where the dash could become dislodged in pieces and either fall into the dashboard area or worse, shatter in sharp pieces in the event of a collision. I called the customer service 800 number and was told that even though I am the original owner of the vehicle, that Dodge would do nothing to make my vehicle safe for me and my kids because there were too many miles on the truck. Sad thing is that the truck has been an excellent vehicle, fun, completely reliable, and I wont buy another Dodge product because they wont fix a cosmetic issue that could be very dangerous.Short sighted corporation, as I would have bought another Dodge in a heartbeat, but not now.

I purchased a Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. And I love this truck. It rides smooth. This truck is great for on and off road. This truck gets up and goes no hesitation. But I would make the dodge level. I dont like the fact that the front of the truck is approx 2 inches lower than the back suspension. I also would maybe put a nicer rim on this vehicle. Also the steering box should be changed in this vehicle. They have been known to cause issues like the death wobble. The slider also needs to be reinforced and a sturdier lock should be used. But I love the body style and comfort of the interior. And the overall appearance and performance of this vehicle. I love the engine sizes you can choose for your lifestyle. Dodge is a very reliable truck. And I chose this vehicle due to reputation of Dodge Ram Tough. Ive never had any problems with it.

I bought my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 in 2006. If you dont beat it and keep up on the maintenance you will truck that runs forever. My truck has a 6.5 lift kit and 37.5 inch tires. The lift kits are popular for blowing out u-joints, not my Dodge. Everyone you know in the last 10 years that I owned my Dodge that owned a Ford or Chevy, has purchased 2 or 3 new trucks since, but me I still have Ram tough, with 170,000 miles on it. I guarantee I never had it leave me stranded, no issues other my wear and tear. Its normal for things to need replacing. I maintain my gem by replacing tires, air filter, changing fluids on time, repairing rust, cleaning injectors etc. If you neglect your responsibility and something fails it isnt Dodges fault. You bought a Dodge for a reason. A Dodge is the only truck I will trust. Its nice to watch Ford owners complain that the tranny failed under 20,000 miles in a new truck as I sit back happy I have a Dodge. If the company is at fault, they tell you, Thats we have such a thing called recalls! I have a marketing degree, and I will use my skills to promote Dodge! Oh have I forgot to mention my Dodge was previously used in the mountains of Utah, and the previous owner rolled it, and amazingly after the roll the truck landed on all 4 wheels and it still drove off the mountain, thats when it was rebuilt and customized and I purchased it when it was 3 yrs old. You would think Dodge Ram is built tough! You think I would have had issues since but I havent! So stop your insulting and blaming Dodge for your negligence. What you all have to say about this! Keep it up Dodge. You rock!!!

I purchased new two 3500 Diesel. One 2004 the other 2007. They both have had major issues with the front end. The infamous Death Wobble on both trucks began occurring around 40K. The 2007 was my wifes until it started the wobble. The drag link in the 07 broke clean on two different occasions. The first time was the night of my first childs wedding night. Went to back the truck up so we could load gifts and heard a loud Bang. The drag link sheared at the threads. I purchased a new link from NAPA and paid for their most heavy duty, lifetime warranty. Took the truck to an alignment shop and had it aligned and inspected (Ball joints, u-joints, etc.). A month later while driving at 80 mph on the Interstate I crossed over a bridge with a slight bump and the truck began wobbling and then bang!!. Wobbling stopped but I knew what had happened and coasted to the emergency lane applying the emergency (rear) brakes. When the truck was almost at a stop I pressed on the front brakes and the truck skidded. I got out and the driver side wheel was 90 degrees pointing out. The irony is I was on my way to a local dealer for a recall on the front ball joint. I had the truck towed to the dealer. They inspected the Ball Joint, said it was fine and then gave me a 6 line item list on what was wrong and needed to be fixed. $5500.00 estimate. I told the service writer to leave the truck alone and I would have it towed to a service facility that I trust. I replaced the Drag Link again, took the pile of ** to have it aligned again. The alignment owner told me to replace the front stabilizer shock and use Monroe brand instead of the Super Heavy Duty rock-n roll brands. They had had the best luck with Monroe. For the next three years I could only drive safely at top speed of 60 mph if I wanted to avoid the Death Wobble and possibly break another link. I will not let anyone else drive the thing for their safety. I put a more heavy duty tracking bar and an aftermarket stabilizer bracket on it. Still could only go 60 mph and feel safe. A few months ago I replaced the front hub assemblies and U-Joints.By doing so the truck feels like it did when I purchased it new. Now I can go 80 mph plus and feel safe. Regarding the 04, the front stabilizer tie rod broke and the truck doesnt Death Wobble any longer. Im tempted to leave the thing broken. Once a Dodge... Always a Dodge. Ill never buy Dodge again. Most DANGEROUS vehicles Ive ever owned!!! Im thinking the new Nissan with Cummins and Allison Tranny looks Real Good.

My 2008 Dodge Ram 1500s motor blew up on Aug 6. This particular model is not covered past three years/36,000 miles. I bought it used and the first owner didnt buy the extended warranty. I contacted Chrysler directly, case number 21213374, in order to find out if they would assist me in some way since a three-year-old motor should not blow up. Aug 8 was my initial call and I have called my caseworker Natasha every day and left messages in order to find a resolution. She has not yet returned my calls despite my plea for immediate assistance and I am without a vehicle and insurance will not provide a loaner. Considering the automotive industry is lagging considerably, wouldnt customer service be a top priority? No loyalty to repeat owners (I have had six Chrysler autos) and complete indifference to people in need of help.

I have never owned a bigger heap of junk. I bought a 2014 Ram 2500 diesel brand new with 249 kilometers on it and at 300 it went in because the 3rd brake light on roof filled with water shorted out and caught fire. Truck was 2 days old. Had to rent a car while being fixed. Then ever since that issue it has broke down every 1000 kilometers since. As of today (December 7, 2018) truck has had over a hundred repairs. On its 5th set of new tires second complete set of brakes oil pan has fell off twice trans pan once. Track bar 3 times now. Two front ends and endless wiring issues. Now if all that isnt enough apparently they need constant 150$ radio updates and it doesnt let you know. Just one day doesnt start. Tried lemon law and they dont cover anything larger than 1500. Tried trade in. Its worthless. This truck has scared me to not ever buy another new vehicle again. Its been replaced with a 1980 Chevrolet K30. My paperwork I built for the lawyer handling my case on truck is over an 1-1/4 thick. If you ever thought about what its like to own a Dodge let me tell you. I purchased my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 truck in 2013 and initially didnt have any issues. The first issue happened in June of this year. After having towed nothing the first 2 years, I purchased a 44 RV. After the second tow, a trip to Louisiana, the engine began to bog down on me and lose power. I took it in to the dealer to get it checked out and they hit me with a $2,000 estimate for repairs. Said the EGR valve was bad ($799 for part) and needed to be replaced. They also said a front ABS wheel sensor was bad and needed to be replaced as well. Guess what, my warranty didnt cover one cent of the repairs. They said this wasnt covered in the warranty. Go Figure! Well now I have a bad taste in my mouth for having to dish out so much money. Ive always wanted to own a dually and found that the Dodge was more affordable to me. Anyway, I chalked it up as a loss and moved on. That is, until now that I have gotten a Perform Service Soon light on my dash. After consulting my owners manual, it says I need to take it in to get emissions maintenance performed. Emissions/EGR Valve....Do you see where Im going with this? So I call the dealer and ask for cost. For starters, it will cost me $110/hr. to just check out the problem. Ive owned several Nissan vehicles and let me tell you, it never costs me a cent for them to troubleshoot any problems that I have. Also, I have never paid over $200 for any issue with them. They cover almost everything and better yet their vehicles rarely break down. At least the ones I have owned havent, thanks to God! Anyway, I think I am about to trade my Dodge in for a Chevy or Ford. I wont be able to afford paying Dodge for all the high repair costs and maintain payments at the same time. I really wish Nissan would come out with a ton pick up!!

I bought new a 2008 2500 Dodge Ram work truck with the 6.7L Cummins engine. I pamper this truck. it is almost shameful how lightly I use this machine, but sometimes I need to tow small work trailers while the truck is loaded over short distances. It is a manual shift 6 speed. I now have 45,000 easy miles on it. I am now 1,000 miles into the second clutch on the truck, and (thanks to Crown Dodge in Ventura Ca. and some worn-out ball joints) I am $6,400 poorer! I was told then that 35,000 is all you can expect out of a Dodge clutch. The truck also only gets 12.3 MPG empty on the freeway! Why has this expensive work truck worn out so quickly after so light a work load and low miles? Why do my friends with similar trucks get 20 MPG? I guess I need to try and trade in this truck and buy something that will hold up. I dont think it will be a Ram. I took it to the dealership three times and they could not get it to work so I was offered to purchase a new Dodge Dart in May of 2013, and the Dodge dealership paid off the first vehicle. Well, it has been a little over a year and I have begun to have problems and I am afraid to even drive the vehicle now for safety reasons. In June of 2014, my vehicle would not start. I had to get a jump and from that time, I needed a jump every time I started the vehicle. I took it to the dealership and they worked on the vehicle for about a week. In mid-July of 2014, I took my car on a road trip and while out of state, my car would not start again and this is after I was told I received a brand new battery. I was afraid that I would not make it home and had to get a jump from a stranger while out of town just to make it home. Now, every time I want to head out, I am afraid that my car will not start and I just dont feel safe. I can be out in the evening and not be able to make it home; I should not feel this way having a one-year old vehicle. A few days later, the entire car reset on its own as well, all the radio stations that were pre-set were set back to factory as well as the clock; I am sure this is not normal. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they worked on it for four days and said they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle and sent me home with another problem: a damaged vehicle frame, bent rocker panel and the paint is now chipping. I have spoken with the customer service multiple times about many of these issues and I dont think they are listening. I work full-time so I cannot drive back and forth to the dealership; I cannot afford to continue to take off or be tardy for work. Today, August 4, 2014, I took the vehicle into the service center at the dealership because I have the day off. They refused to work on my vehicle without charging me stating that I could have ran over a pot-hole, I explained theres no pot-hole that I know of that I could have run over that will cause the frame of my car to point outwards.Overall, I am now stuck with a vehicle that I do not feel safe driving because I never know if it will start or when the next problem when arise and as a customer of Dodge, I do not feel respected as they damaged my vehicle and have not offered to even fix it even though they damaged it. I do not want another Dodge Dart as I feel unsafe and it should be re-called.

Aug. 28, 2017, while driving a 2015 Dodge 1500 Eco Diesel at 40 mph with 41000 miles, recently serviced, truck lost power, tach went to zero, white smoke billowed from the back of the engine hood in front of windshield. Pulled over. Opened hood. Flames pouring out of backside of engine on both sides. Shot a 2 lb fire extinguisher, did not help much. Noticed a large oil or fuel slick on the passenger side of road, 3 feet to the outside of the truck. Engine compartment fully engulfed in flames within 4-5 min. Truck cab was inflamed by 7 min. We lost everything we had in the truck. Called Dodge to make claim on our 100,000 mile, Mopar Bumper to Bumper warranty... which they denied. We are looking to build a case against Dodge listing others who have had this same experience. Dodge has denied that anything was wrong with their truck. We disagree.

Since we have bought our Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 we have had nothing but problem
Since we have bought our Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 we have had nothing but problems. #1 stalls when driving. #2 put 4 trannys in it and dont pull anything heavy with it. #3 paint falling off it. #4 it revs up when just idling. The rpms shoot to 4 and back down. We have had everything possible fix that it may have been and it still does the same thing. Just crazy. Some people now days can only afford one vehicle and when they do they expect it to be a good one. I will tell you one thing if I can afford to get another one it will definitely NOT be a Dodge. With all these problems and not just this one there are a lot of complaints about 05 Dodges. I cant believe that only the States are buying back these vehicles. But I will tell you one thing. I have kids in my vehicle and if it stalls and someone get hurt there will be a big law suit. This is not good for business. From one unhappy customer.

I had a check engine light come on on a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 with 17,000 actual miles. Took it to our dodge dealer (Christophers Dodge) and upon running the computer was told that there was probable a clogged exhaust line and/or valves not working. Upon taking the truck in a week later was informed by Christophers Dodge that we had a completely plugged EGR Cooler and it would cost around $3200.00 to fix. This has been a problematic part with Chrysler and if replaced during the 5 year 100,000 miles warranty it would be paid for. Well since our vehicle falls out of the 5 year warranty period they would only reduce the cost of the labor. Even though the vehicle only has 17,000 miles and looks like it came off the showroom. We were informed we were not loyal customers since we had not done our oil changes there. So we ended up paying 2600.00 for the repair and in my opinion will never purchase another Chrysler product since they do not back their vehicles.

New 2014 Ram 3500 gas engine. Owned it 1 week and this problem started. Engine will turn but wont start. Looked it up on Google and seen many of these problems. Get this, the dealership salesman and service department said they never heard of this problem and sent them one of the youtube videos with the same problem. It happened 7 times now and am very pissed about spending $35k and getting shoved to the side. The dealership is Waxahachie Dodge in Waxahachie, Texas.

2015 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. I really wanted to love this truck. I was coming from a Ford 6.0 let down, really loved the truck. Had I done a hair more work I would still have the truck. First, the alignment was bad from the day I drove it off the lot. Seemed fine but the front tires were bald, thread showing, by 35K. Replaced 2 front tires and Hogan Tire shop in Purcellville, VA told me they couldnt align the truck because a ball joint was bad. Furious, I took it to the Dodge dealer and they told me joints were all fine and measuring basically new. Oh, BTW, chose your dealer carefully. The dealer in NOVA cant align a big truck like this because his rack is too small, I was still within warranty for this. 10 hours+, not an exaggeration, of my time to determine the truck was fine and still needed an alignment. I use this heavy duty truck everyday and tow more than three times a week. 10 hours of down time kills me. I never aligned it, totally my fault. Truck was pulling like mad to the right. I have a seriously strong left arm from it. I have new tires and feel like I can ignore, 14K only a couple months in busy truck time, I realize the front right is really wearing badly. WTF, truck less than 50K and serious pull to the right and worn tires on the front, rear are still good. Take to local mech and he aligns, tightens it all.Less than a week later I notice the steering wheel is out of alignment. Each day I drive it is a little more out. I am hauling round bales and finally lose my ** with the steering, over 90 out. I take back to my alignment dudes and they say the lock nuts have backed off. Its a lock nut? What? Well Dodge has 2 nuts that are tightened against each other, not a lock nut, and one backed off. They small shop fixed and I trust the fix since we are over 2 weeks and steering has been rockstar since.Other things, I have had a check engine light since the mid 30K range. No ** the manual says the light will probably resolve itself in a few runs and should do that. Sure as ** that was the case. What they didnt say was that the problems were compounding. Truck was great except there were times we backed into the driveway and the exhaust was terrible, in town we had the same thing since we drive windows down a lot. Absolutely intolerable exhaust smell. We are coming from a 2005 Diesel that was pimped and the smell was appropriate.51K, and now I have a DEF malfunction. I drive this truck everyday. Put only the DEF in it from the store and the pretty plastic containers. I only have 125 miles to drive before it ** down? I have done everything right and this is what my over 50k in American dollars gets me? Oh, and the exhaust warranty is very specific. Dont think you get 8/80K, there are terms.

Purchased a new 2013 Dodge 2500 from O Daniels Chrysler in Fort Wayne, IN.
Purchased a new 2013 Dodge 2500 from O Daniels Chrysler in Fort Wayne, IN. In Oct. the 1st problems I had was with the steering & transmission. The truck would not steer straight down the road. I took the truck back to ODaniels 3 times before they found a bad tire, and it still doesnt drive like other ones I have driven. The tranny jerks when it shifts, sometimes it clunks in really bad. ODaniels said they could not find anything wrong. After taking the truck back several times, ODaniels informed me that Chrysler told them it is normal for the Dodge 2500 to jerk & clunk into gear, so theres nothing they can do. In the meantime my wife & I are smelling fumes, we blamed it on semis & other vehicles. Then we noticed fumes when there was nothing else around. The fumes got worse & they happen every 400 to 600 miles, I took truck back to ODaniels. They kept the truck for 2 weeks & drove it 100 miles. They said they could not reproduce the problem, therefore there is not anything wrong. We picked the truck up from ODaniels. Within 500 miles the truck put fumes in the cab, this time we had to stop and get out of the truck. I called ODaniels and they said it did not show up on the computer so they couldnt do anything. ODaniels said they would trade us our truck for a 2014 truck, if I would pay an additional 18,000 dollars. The consequence of that is that I am still driving a Dodge Ram with a jerky, clunking transmission and with fumes in the cab. I find it shameful that Chrysler does not care anymore than this about the consumers safety & health. There is a lot more to be said, but this is about as mild as I can make it.

My boyfriend bought a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500. It was 69000 paid off same day. Well after a couple months of driving it, the steering was messing up. Then we received a letter saying there was a recall on left tie rod. Well we ended up taking it in to get fixed and have had them pretty much refuse us saying we need to take it to where we got it from, but I thought any Dodge dealership could help us. And before we found out about the recall we had spent 9 thousand to get it fixed and I dont think they did anything to fix it. We also spent 6 thousand on a service contract that doesnt really help us get anything fixes with truck. I just am so frustrated that we have a nice messed up truck and its just been sitting in our front yard for the last two years. Does anyone know what we should do since I have no idea? Im young and learning and really could use some direction in this problem. Thanks everyone. Have a nice day!!

Took it to the dealer where I purchased it to find out why it locked up. They have no idea - possibly a caliper defect. Bottom line have to replace both rear calipers and pads and have the fluid flushed. Never in 30+ years of owning Chrysler products have I had a caliper lock up at any mileage and I have had trucks with over 250000 miles. I bought a Dodge Ram 2500 4 by 4 Cummins diesel 2015 model at Carl Gregory of Savannah Ga. I was told they would have my side steps black wheel to wheel for my truck that Friday. They put me off 5 different dates over a 3 week period to end up telling me they couldnt even get them (cost figured in price of truck). I ending up telling them to get them from OReillys auto parts or either Pep Boys and I gave them the part number to both, only to find out later that Mopar does carry the black wheel to wheel Mega Cab side steps. Now after owning it for six weeks my tire pressure sensors have gone out. It is now been the shop four times for a total of over 10 days and has yet to be repaired. The last time Carl Gregory had my truck, they had it for 6 days and did not do anything. They had told me it needed a module but after 6 days still do not have it put in. Now I have taken it to a new dealer to see if they can fix it. It has been there one day and they have ordered a sensor to see if they can fix it when there are 4 sensors that are not working. This is my first Dodge and probably my last. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation customer service....and my back Friday.

We installed both a front and rear bumper replacement on a 2016 Dodge Ram. During the process we removed the sensors in the factory bumpers and reinstalled them in the aftermarket bumpers. The sensors failed to come back on so we sent it to the Dodge dealership for re-calibration. They discovered that six of the sensors had failed. The total bill will be just under $1000. How is it that these sensors are so sensitive that they cannot stand such a simple process as removal and re-installation? If these sensors are really this sensitive, they must be a faulty design and should be recalled.

So I am locked to have the dealership do the work, and of course its backordered and I am out of my truck for going on 2 weeks (while renting a mini van to keep myself in business). 2011 Dodge 1500 Truck Crew Cab, Dark Red - Real simple things: The brake pedal makes a popping noise when you push it down or let it up. Ive now tried on 3 different times to get that fixed. This last time I was told they could not duplicate the problem. What a sorry excuse. The second time I was in their garage they could hear it and sprayed the brake pedal with some kind of lubricant that lasted for approximately 2 weeks, then the squeak came right back! There is a problem with the CD player, it skips towards the end of the CD songs - it rattles, and if you hit a bump, it ejects the playing CD. The mechanic claimed he could not duplicate this problem as well.So I asked Micheal (one of the service order writers) to get in the truck with me and I put in a CD less than a month old and showed him how it starts skipping towards the end of the CD. He claimed he heard it skipping, which of course it was. I am so tired of these people thinking I will just go away and live with the problems my new truck has... I guess! Ive had the truck 6 months and it has a little over 8,000 miles on it. These 2 problems I have with the truck since the first day I drove it home. At this point in time, I no longer want them to fix the CD player. I want a brand new one! I dont think they know how to fix it since the problem is still there 6 months later! I sure hope you can help me.

Bought a 2015 limited Dodge Ram. This truck has the air suspension. Had it for a couple months and it would not start. The fob would unlock the door and remotely start the truck but would not allow you to push the button to take over from remote start and drive. Finally got it started after approx. 1hr. The next morning took to dealer. Had it three days, replaced fobs. Worked for two weeks, happened again. Had to be towed. It has now been at the dealer for three weeks? They dont know what the problem is. Have replaced fobs again but no luck. Said it is a star case and engineers are working on it. Apparently that would make me feel so much better?I called Chrysler service and got absolutely no help AT ALL. What a joke. I have owned four dodges up till now, all bought new. Think this will be my last one. When I had the truck towed it took them four hours to get here. They gave me a rental to drive. Its a Ram, six cylinder that would not pull a trailer and does not even have a hitch. I spent over 50K on a truck and they give me a 20K replacement. What a joke!!! I purchased a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 HEMI Quad Cab with 30,000 miles. It was a big purchase for me so I couldnt afford costly repairs. Well, I picked the wrong truck for that! Within the first year the truck spent a lot of time at a couple different dealers getting the dodge kinks out of it. A steering box, steering pump, 2 sets of ball joints, 2 sets of axle joints, front bearings, lower control arms, front cv drive shaft, 2 tie rod ends, clutch and flywheel, front Y pipe and sensors, wheel hub assemblies and other odds and ends. Now after so much work the steering is soo tight that every small move on the steering wheel the truck swerves in that direction and will not center itself. To add icing on the cake, even though I took good care of the body and kept it washed and waxed constantly, the clear coat is peeling off of the roof and top of the doors and rust bubbles are showing up everywhere. I drove it daily for 2 years until I parked it because I can not afford to keep repairing it or keeping the 14mpg engine fueled up. I spent hours talking to warranty reps and Chrysler and I would have been better off talking to my dog. I am simply just waiting until it is paid down enough to part with it and never look back. 2 1/2 years of nightmares and family loaners. $30K truck and I dont even trust it to haul my family.

Transmission pump went out and was covered by warranty after 2 years. Terrible dealer service, no followup by Dodge after repaired. 3 year old vehicle starting to rust at end of hood, no damage/dings/chips causing issue, just rust bubble starting to form. They say not covered because it hasnt rusted all the way through. Do not have this issue with 2009 mazda 5, 2007 honda accord, etc...

Took my 2013 Ram 2500 Cummins to the shop with an EGR system leaking carbon monoxide into the cab giving me a headache plus it was making a knocking noise in the engine compartment and the A/C making a knocking noise. Anyways took it to the dealership to fix the issues and only one thing gets fixed out of 3 times. Ive taken it to the shop. They fixed the EGR and said they didnt know what the knocking in the engine was... But it was noted in the system well about a week later the batteries wont hold a charge and I have to jump it off if I want to drive it. All in all Im pissed the ** in Tyler hasnt helped me with anything. Im angry and want a lawyer who can get my hard earned money back!!

I own a 2009 Dodge 2500 with 85,250 miles on it. While pulling a 28 foot 5th wheel trailer, the front brakes locked up while traveling down the freeway almost causing us to almost go into the ditch. We brought it to the dealership, and they found that all the rubber brake lines had failed on the truck. The rear brakes were not working at all and the front brakes had locked up. They stated that this is something that is showing up on some Dodge pickups. This is a huge safety concern that we feel needs to be addressed by Dodge.

Bad service until I reported them to BBB and Chrysler Service - they finally asked me to drop my truck for an inspection on my driveshaft. I bought a pick up truck on Nov 1st, 2014 and two weeks later I found out that I have engine light on, extremely Rusty powertrain driveshaft and front bumper came off by itself. Regarding my front bumper, one of the service guy who always sitting on the front to greet customers and taking their information, attempted to claim that I ran into something. I asked him to take a look himself. Obviously he couldnt find anything such as dent or scratches because like I told him, the bumper just came off by itself. One of the bumper, whatever you called that, the thing that hold the nuts ripped off and I dont even know how it happened. Bad manufacturing process I believe. He called the service manager who take a look himself for 10 secs and asked somebody to drive to the back to get it fix, no question being asked at all. That was alright with me including the engine light which was updated. The driveshaft is the whole new level.I found out later a lot of people from Fort Benning having problems with them, and have bigger mechanical problems (as in vehicle are not operational or having safety hazards). The rusty driveshaft was partially my fault, because I should have check the bottom part of the truck before I purchased it. However, right now they still dont want to resolve my driveshaft issue since Chrysler wouldnt do it either and my case file was closed. I was told that I have to pay on my own to get it cleaned out or doing whatever service I have to on my driveshaft. It cost me $60,000~ to buy this, and this is not ethical at all for their service. I am not going to talk about other features that the salesman promised me on the truck because I know most of them are just lies since I corrected the salesman for several times regarding the features of the trucks. However, certain things I was not sure so I bought into it at that time. Payload is only 1800~ lbs but I was told I have 3000~ lbs. Towing is only 17,000~ lbs but I was told 22,000~ lbs. I dont care much about the towing since if I do buy a trailer or 5th wheel, it wouldnt go beyond that towing capacity. However, the payload is what I need the most right now and this Laramie truck is not able to carry any truck camper for all seasons. 1800~ lbs is horrible for modern pick up truck. I am getting an attorney to fix my driveshaft and that is something I can do. I have to wait until around 2016 to get another new truck and this time I am not sure I will get Chrysler brand anymore. I will definitely lost around $10,000 to $15000 or more. That doesnt include $5000 extra cost on my truck compare to other dealer at that time and a special rebate of $500 that the dealer didnt give me (military rebate and additional $500 rebate to my referral). I will find a way to contact somebody in JAG or whoever to raise hell so that this dealer will be blacklisted from Fort Benning personnel. I should have rate the salesman bad rating on the survey. He (Paul) asked me to put all good rating on him.I attempted to resolve the problem with the dealer where I bought the truck from and Chrysler Service but nothing was resolved regarding my rusty driveshaft. I was told that I have to pay money to get it cleaned up. I bought it on Nov 1st, 2014 and two weeks later I just found out that the driveshaft is extremely rusty. However, nobody wants to take any responsibility. Do you really think most buyer would want to buy a rusty driveshaft if they found it on the spot? I will find an attorney after this Christmas holiday (or later on today, Dec 26th, 2014). This is simply not ethical. First thing I will do is, I will find several buyers from my unit in Fort Benning to make complaints to our JAG so that the dealer, Carl Gregory Dodge, RAM, Jeep from Victory Drive, Columbus, GA to be blacklisted so nobody from Fort Benning, GA will ever set foot on their store. Next, I will have to deal how to get my own truck fixed. Other buyers, I have gathered have other bigger mechanical issues with this dealer. Since, we couldnt resolve this in a proper honest business relationship this is the only solution to fix the whole fiasco. I asked for paperworks regarding my last service with your company and Lawrence told me it was your company policy that the case files are not allowed to be release. They are considered legal documents but your company couldnt even released it.As of Jan 10, 2015, My Bumper is falling off again and I can see the gap is getting bigger but not as bad like last time. Also, Chrysler, nor the dealership considering replacing my rusty driveshaft. I am sick of hearing from the fanboys talking about nothing wrong with it. Really? You seriously would walk into a shop to buy anything that is rusty just because you are the loyal brand follower? My payload is still horrible and I couldnt buy the truck camper like I originally plan. This truck is not built to carry any heavy payload for the equivalent class 3/4 tons. 1st time buyer of RAM truck.

At the point of sale no copies of bill of sale or installment loan contract
At the point of sale no copies of bill of sale or installment loan contract was given to me the buyer. Then when I tried to cancel after 3 days of no receipts they made out and deposited my 3 checks for the down payment. I DID not get any paperwork till June and had to call police to get it. Then they would not give my trade back and cancel deal. Then when I got the paperwork it was shrunk photocopies, not the hard copies I signed in. This is a 10-25k fine. So the loan was 30074.00 after paying in 17000 in cash for 4 years I still owe 29500.00. And the truck is worth 12000. This crime was committed on 4/09/13. And no one has ever helped me in this fraud and check writing fraud. So far they ducked every bullet. Im 71 and the payment is 657 monthly on a 15.8 loan. Where do I find relief. I was sick for 5 years. Im a vet that has been held hostage. Help please.

My engine on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Ecodiesel 3.0L seized at 14K miles... Towed to Dodge in Yuba City, Ca. They charged me $1200 plus, to tell me that is my fault and water went into the engine by opening the pan!!! No water went, they are full of it... I am getting the second opinion at the Machine shop. I spoke to the owner, and he will give me the exact cause by opening the engine apart.

I purchased two 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 in 2017. Had one only a few months and had to have it lined up and dealership had to replace one front tire. Second truck the dealership paid to get it lined up a month after we purchased it. We had it lined up again 6 months later. So now this truck has the two front tires wearing out on the outer thread at about 20,000 miles and 5 months after the last line up. The first truck we purchased has 26,000 miles on it and the front passenger tire (the one replaced a yr ago is wearing out on the outer edge as well. Dealership does not know why this is happening. They say because we did not rotate the tires every 5000 miles (we would have to do this in between oil changes). Then they said it was because we drive around too many curves. (What the heck.) They want to put these tires on the back inside duels so DOT can ding us on bald tires. They said the back tires are worn a little because of over inflation and we never put air in them since we purchased the truck. They cannot tell us why the tires on these trucks are wearing so now we have to purchase new tires every 20,000 miles or less?? Oh and the first truck has to have ball joints replaced. They do not want to do anything to help and they said the Big Wigs at Dodge says they have no reason to believe that there has been enough issues with these trucks to warrant them doing anything about it. GOOD old USA auto manufacturers. I thought our Ford trucks were a headache but these suck.

I bought a 2013 RAM 4 door 4x4 diesel with 15 miles on it in August of 2013
I bought a 2013 RAM 4 door 4x4 diesel with 15 miles on it in August of 2013. After a while my passenger door wouldnt shut right. You would have to slam it which Im totally against. But anyways when I hit 600 miles on my way out to the R.O.W. my check engine light came on and gave me a message saying something I cant remember exactly but see dealer. So I called the dealer in Enid, OK where I had just bought the TRUCK I have always wanted to purchase, the truck of my dreams. So I turned around and went to the Dodge house and I had to get my whole truck resynchronized. No big deal. They said its a new truck, I said ok. This is my first new truck I guess this is normal. I was convinced so then I get back on the road head to work. It yaaa, its fixed, got that out of the way back to new. Almost month goes by at 2,000 miles check engine, see dealer, Im freaking out. I call the dealer. I had to get the software updated again. They said no big deal, this happens all the time. Wont hurt anything. I said somethings wrong with this. This cant be right. So they updated it again. So I hit the road 2,500 miles, it happens again. At this point Im fed up. I talk to ** the sales guy that sold me the truck and I told him whats going on. He said well lets go check it out. Checks it out and he comes back says it just needed updated and youll be good to go. I said ok but somethings not right. The sales guy said this is what happens when you buy a new truck, you have to work out the bugs. I said No, no. The whole truck is not right. He said oh its all good and if you have any more problems just stop by and we will get it fixed for you. I just walked off mad with this truck they put me in. My job moved from Enid, OK to Elk City, OK about three hrs away so I go to Doug Gray of Elk City OK. At 35,000 miles my fuel pump goes out. Wow, wow this is crazy. I have a 96 chevy that still has its original fuel pump. Wow so they fix that well about 34,000. My truck starts down shifting hard. I mean hard. There was a knock on the floor every time I would decell so I stop back by the Dodge house in Elk City OK and they had to relearn the my tranny and they charged me to relearn my tranny. I made a big deal about it but didnt wave it, stopped the hard shift I was surprised yaaaa they took care of it for me. Well a couple of weeks go by it starts the hard down shift again so I call Doug Gray of Elk City and go by there. They relearned my tranny without charge this time. Before I moved to Houston my factory warranty was almost up so I spent $1,500 to extended everything to 109,000 miles for my protection and to save me some money in the long run - nottt. Thats a joke too. I have to pay anyway at 50,000 miles. My truck was due for an oil change. I took it in there, got everything done and the service guys come out and says did you know your front differential is leaking. Its not bad but leaking. You have to get that fixed right now. I said is it under warranty? If it is, fix it. If its not, I cant afford it. But I extended my warranty, front diff seal is part of the drive train. They said yeah but you have to pay 400$, its not under your warranty. I said why. So I had gotten it fixed shortly after that and its doing fine. Now Im at 85,000 miles and I get a message SAYING PREFORM SERVICE SEE DEALER. So I had the money so I get that done for 1,800$ and I ask them what do yall have to do to fix that **? One of the service advisors at Clear Lake Dodge told me that it consist of all my filters from fuel to air to oil and that theres a filter in the def and some other exhaust filter of some sort. I said ok well and let me purchase a oil service contract. He said ok I have this good deal, 3 car wash, 3 oil changes and 3 tire rotations for 180$ so I got it and I told him not to rotate my tires because they were wore down and I was buying new ones the next day!!! So what did ** do everything I told him not to. Like he had lack of attention when he was baby (HE DID NOT TELL ME I COULD ONLY USE THAT CONTRACT THERE or his sister store). Now Im at 88,000 miles I now moved to Houston TX at 88,000 miles. Truck has been running fine until I pulled out of a parking lot and I notice my D.E.F gauge went from half a tank to nothing and it said refill D.E.F speed limited to 5 mph in 190 miles. I was like ok so I pull over and refill my def, hop back in the truck and start to take off and look down and my gauge is not working. Im like whaaat? Whaaat is going on? So I start to the house and Im worried on the way home my gauge started working until I let off the gas and my gauge stopped working again. But it reset itself back to 190 miles till limited. At least it reset itself but gauge still not working. I was going to stop in the middle of Houston and break down so I keep going. I make it home, kill my truck and started my truck again. Gauge came on then went right back off and reset itself from 100 miles to limited to 5 mph back to 190 miles to limited. I took my truck to the shop and they want to charge me cause their pump is defaulty. And this is where I sit right now, trying to get Chrysler to fix my truck. The only reason I bought a new truck is so that way I didnt have a breakdown and keep putting money into something. I think these new trucks are a joke - nice but a joke. Its like they have a button they push when they want you to spend money and invest in their product for more sales.

At 168,000 miles the bolts connecting the flexplate to the crankshaft stripped out. This ruined the crankshaft and flexplate and we are facing over $5,000 in repairs. We are coming to you for help, on June 14, 2018 our 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with only 8,200 miles on it broke down on our way home in SC at midnight. Leaving us and our 2 children stranded on the side of 95. Chrysler warranty only covers towing to closest Dodge dealership. This is how we ended up with our vehicle at Plaza Dodge dealership. We are getting the runaround from the service Dept (Jon) & warranty guy handling our case (Tim). They have had our vehicle for 3 weeks with no end in sight. Last week we were lied to by both Jon & Tim about what was wrong with it (saying it was the rear overrunning gear) and that parts had been ordered. On Monday this week Jon called and said that no parts have been ordered, in fact our transmission had not been taken apart or touched all last week. On Tuesday this week Jon called my husband and said now they believe it to be a seal in the transmission and have ordered parts but it will now be next week for them to come in. He then turned around and called me and said some parts had been ordered but some were on back order and he did not know when they would come in. This truck is not only our personal truck (we tow our camper with this for our son’s travel ball tournaments) but it is also my husbands company truck (we own Marsh Lawn Care). We need it back or answers. We only have had it since April 27. We bought it brand new from Cary Auto Mall. We called them on June 14 to see if they could help us since we had just bought it and were told “why would we help you, we are not reaping the benefits of the warranty work”. I think all Dodge Ram consumers should know how poorly the new trucks are built & how little help warranty company is in getting them back to you in a reasonable timeframe.

I own 2 - 2015 Dodge Rams and 1 - 2016 Dodge Ram. 2 are 3500s. ALL 3 have premature front end tire wearing. Im talking less than 20k miles. On top of it all, the local dealership I purchased from said they dont know how to rotate the tires on the 3500s. Im at a loss that a service department can be so stupid!!! Plus, I get blue puffs out of exhaust with the 3500s when they start each morning. Also, the one 3500 has serious shifting issues. Trucks have been in 3 times each. Each time its been an absolute cluster and I have to physically remove my husband from the property or he was gonna lose it on these people. My father is the Fleet Manager at the dealership so I have to handle myself in a dignified manner but the dealership is blowing smoke up my skirt. I finally sent an email to corporate and NOW they sent a big wig down here and they are going to assess it. We all know how thats gonna turn out. Bottom line, no vehicle should have worn tires before 20k miles - ON ALL 3!!! Anyone else having this issue?

My 16 month old son, Odin, and my 3 year old Thor had just been buckled into their seats. I just plugged in my phone as my battery died sending a text that I would meet in a few minutes... for the catfish festival! I backed out, started driving and poof! My airbags exploded!!! I drove off the road and into my neighbors driveway without ever hitting the breaks. Next thing I know, my face, shoulder and arm are burned from the airbags, and my kids are screaming. My neighbors all come out, one saw the whole thing, and asked what happened. I am sure I sounded like crazy lady with..I have no idea. But, I really didnt know why one minute I was fine. And the next I had airbags and a crash. 1 week later I got the recall in the mail for the airbags. I still have not received the recall for temporary loss of vehicle control. Ram has not responded to my report of the recall, its been a week and I have called EVERY day to see when I get to talk to someone. I walked into local Ram dealer and asked for the local Chrysler rep-Scott ** - I cant get his number nor will they give me his email or even a mailing address for a lawsuit letter! My GEICO rep wants to part out my totaled truck without looking into the recall. I am told by 3 GEICO adjusters, they are not going to download the box... the magic box that will confirm my airbags, and if I want to persist i.e. It I can. Wow. Where is the class action? My attorney said since me and my kids werent racking up thousands of medical bills (we were only going 15 mph) it is not worth taking on. I am now out 10,000 to get my same truck this year. I am changing insurance, to say the least, and want to sue Chrysler... but have no address for my lawyer to send a letter to! Anyone else have this problem??? My uncle owned a Chrysler dealership for 30 years (retired for last 15) and has never heard of such negligence by Ram. He is embarrassed to have been their rep/dealer.
