I purchased a brand new 1500 quad cab with 3 miles on it. Now the truck has 329 miles and the radio has stopped working. I either get a blue screen, black screen, no backup camera, etc. I take it to the dealer and am immediately told they cant have anyone look at it because they are too busy. I refuse to accept that answer and seek out a manager. The manager, not happy I have disturbed his coffee break, comes out and confirms my problem. Then says come back and we will take care of it on your next oil change. What? You want me to wait several thousand miles, I dont think so. I have now escalated this to the owner and am awaiting a response. I will follow up.

My 2012 Ram 1500 is better than advertised. It has been 6 years of trouble free ownership. Can be a great daily driver and work truck. Comfortable for long trips and plenty of power for towing. It does it all well.

So many negative reviews, so I wanted to post a positive one. Actually, this should be considered 2 reviews, as it covers my experience with 2 Ram trucks.Bought a 2011 Big Horn 1500 quad cab with a 5.7 v8 and 6 speed auto trans. I owned this truck for a little over 4 years, racking up 115,000 miles. The truck was in the shop only twice for something other than normal maintenance. Once for a recall inspection on the rear pinion nut, and once for an update of the U-connect radio. I use it for my everyday vehicle, as well as hauling my boat or a 24 flatbed trailer with 2 side X side off road vehicles. I live in NH, so winter road treatments usually raise hell with vehicles. Every time I put my truck on the lift for oil changes, or other maint., I inspected front end components, paint, brake lines, etc. When I traded this truck, the front end was original and still as tight as the day I bought it. There were no engine fluid leaks, and there were no transmission fluid leaks. I did have a torn CV boot on the pass. side, but that was due to the muddy condition of the service road to my camp... no fault of the truck or design. The underside of the body still looked like the day I bought it, with no rust formed. The chassis was just showing signs of beginning to rust. It should be noted that I wash my truck REGULARLY, especially during the winter months. In 2015 I bought a new Big Horn, with 5.7 hemi and 8 speed tranny. As I write this it has 20k miles. It has not been in for any service other than normal maintenance. I expect this truck to be as reliable as the 2011. I dont care which manufacturer you own, or have owned, there are lemons with ALL of them. For my money, I think RAM trucks are still the best value!

I have a 2007 Dodge Longhorn Ram 3/4 ton Diesel 6.7 engine. Dealership tells me the engine is too heavy for the front end. At 55,000 miles, both front universal joints had to be replaced and brake pads were also replaced. Also, it needs ball joints replaced. Dealer tells me the front end is designed for the 5.9 engine, not the 6.7. To get all the repairs done, it will be $2,000.00. I bought the truck new from the same dealership. The service was to going to be done by them. Has Dodge mess up to the problem or are they going to pass it on to the consumer?

I purchased a 2016 Ram 2500 6.7 diesel Crew Long Box 4x4 maybe 10 months ago. This week Monday morning I started my truck and check engine light came on so I stopped at my local dealer they plugged it in and couldnt read any codes. They informed me that the soonest they could look at the truck was 10 days away. I asked the service manager if the truck would go into limp mode. He informed me NO. I made an appointment 10 days out. Later that day I drove the truck an hour north and boom. What happens the DEF system starts a count down to 5 mph. So I drive into the nearest RAM dealership. They tell me We have no one that can look at the truck or plug it in. I ask the service writer what am I supposed to do brand new truck 16,000 miles on it less than a year old. I was told if you drive west about an hour you should hit another RAM dealership. They might have someone that can look at it, if not keep driving west and you will hit another dealership they might look at it!! I mean really thats what I was told. Now keep in mind you have a 150 mile range until the truck goes into limp mode and wont go over 5 mph. Its December in Wisconsin and its cold so instead of driving west I decided to head closer to home and I stopped at another RAM dealership and asked them to plug it in to see what was wrong with it. This is the 3rd Dealership I stopped at that day. They also informed me that they didnt have anyone to look at the truck and I would need to warm the truck up and try clearing the code out of it which could buy me a few days. I paid $60,000 for this truck and this is what 3 different dealers tell. Well my truck is at a service shop now not a RAM dealer because this private shop is moving heaven and earth to get it back on the road since no dealership would do anything. The kicker is all over this is under warranty but Im paying out of my pocket because I dont have any other way of getting around without my truck. Ive called Customer Service with RAM 3 times and I keep getting the runaround with no HELP. If people like me stopped buying RAM Trucks dealerships wouldnt be in business. I guess spending $60,0000 few months ago doesnt classify me as a good customer..... Sad part is a traded my Chevy Duramax in on a new Cummins. I guess Im the one that made the mistake. I wonder if GMC customer service would be better after spending $60,000. I keep getting told someone would call me in 24 hours still waiting. Im glad that a 3rd party service center is helping me because if they wouldnt be right now I can tell you some Chevy or GMC dealership would be getting a RAM as a trade in. My faith in RAM is gone and Im out thousands of dollars for parts and missing appointments because my new truck is broke down. Thanks but no thanks.

2011 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 diesel. Less than a year old, the engine light would be on and off. As of November 2012, the engine will not start. It has been to 3 dealers with no conclusion of the problem. The computer has been changed along with other items. Chrysler now claims that the engine is out of warranty because of bad fuel. Not to mention, the last dealer who had it left the motor disassembled and pieces missing. I highly recommend anyone going for a Chrysler or Dodge product to seriously reconsider. This vehicle is costing me tons of money with my business, and personal costs such as attorney fees, tow bills, rentals, and loss of work.

The car was parked in the parking lot of my office for 8 hours and would not start, not even a sign of life when I put the key in it. They told me at the dealership the module problem was most likely from overheating. The truck was sitting in a parking lot. I dont think RAM gives a ** about me or the parts they use to make a vehicle for the public, however I do know this. I WILL NEVER BUY A DODGE RAM VEHICLE.

Dodge Ram pickup. I want to start by saying this is all my personal opinion
Dodge Ram pickup. I want to start by saying this is all my personal opinion, take it or leave it, I just wanted to share my experience for anybody that is considering purchasing a diamer chrysler product. I have purchased over 179K personally of Dodge, Chrysler Jeep products, (this is not including the interest paid for financing) and I am truly upset over the lack of customer service for loyal customers as evidenced by the below correspondence from the corporation customer service. I also require fleet vehicles in my business, and have not included the dollars spent for dodge products (Trucks and Vans) in the totals.I would like to warn anyone considering a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep product to do your homework and remember the old adage of you get what you pay for and the mantra that I am sure that the executives of the corporation have posted on their desks: PT Barnum: there is a sucker born every minute! My fleet vehicles over the last 25 years have included all makes and models, the dodge trucks have the worst record for duration of any of the other brands we have purchased. Generally we have to retire the Chrysler products at less than 100K miles, due to major failures or repeated minor failures. I made the decision to retire a RAM 1500 at only 30K due to repeated failures, a/c, sensors, rear end, etc. although these items were all covered under warranty, in the service industry, lost time is lost money, not to mention the transportation to the dealership, and all of the other associated direct cost. We traded it in on a Ford, it now has over 250K on it and is still running strong. With only the standard wear items being replaced, tires, belts, brakes, etc. I purchased the dodge vehicles personally due to the lower initial cost and the body styles and physical appearance. SUCKER!! I write this to warn anyone that is considering a product from this company that you can either pay now, or pay later.

Purchased a 2007 2500 Dodge 5.9 SLT new. Have had very few problems with the truck except AC compressor which began overheating and would not cool. Had to the dealer several times before they finally replaced it. More recently in late August 2015 the Shift Cable broke. Had it towed to the dealer. After 4 or 5 days they checked and agreed it was broken. When asked when it would be repaired I was advised that the part was on back order (over 800) and would not be available until 14 November 2015. Very irritated I accepted the fact that I would not have my truck for a while. I check often for updates and recently told that it would be 9 December 2015 before part would be available.Irritated by the delays I contacted Dodge Customer Service and lodged my complaint. The customer service rep called four days later, apologetic, and advised that the part would not be available until late January 2016 or early February 2016. Dodge has a parts supplier problem since contractors provide them to Dodge. My complaint with this is bad suppliers and bad management. If in August there were already over 800 on back order what is the problem. This is obviously not an aftermarket part or they would be available.

We have taken our 2015 Ram 3500 Tradesman diesel numerous times to three different dealers to try and find the source of diesel exhaust coming into the cab through the air ducts especially when the heater is on because the air does not recycle. It makes our entire family sick. We are being poisoned by diesel exhaust. Ram claims that no one else has this problem which is obviously a lie. It sounds like Thaddeus of S. Atoms River, NJ has the same problem. We also drove the identical vehicle on the lot and it had the same smell. This is a serious health issue and Ram needs to address it immediately before someone who doesnt have the same sensitivity to smells dies of diesel exhaust poisoning. Look it up on the internet. It is serious. It can cause chest pains up to two days later. Immediate issues include headache, nausea, throat and eye irritation. Please call Dodge Ram and complain if you have a similar problem. Dont let your dealer blow you off. This is serious.

I am 32 years old and have owned 3 Ram trucks. I bought all 3 as the second owner from a Dodge Dealership. I bought a 2012 Ram 2500 with the Hemi 18 months ago. It was over 100k miles but had only one owner who had all the maintenance completed at the dealership. It appeared to be a super clean truck. Within the first 6 months the solenoid went bad in the transmission. $500. Now I am facing a bad camshaft and poor lifters. $3500. I have had the truck less than 18 months and am dumping over $4,000 into this truck and that is just to get it back to normal. Ram of course only has the same junk camshaft and lifters to put back into the truck. They have not improved it or do not have any aftermarket parts to fix their poor design. Not to mention it took 3 weeks to get in because this part remains on back order. I had loved my other Ram trucks and was happy with this one before this problem occurred but I will never own another one and like I said I am only 32. I would urge anyone looking for a truck to choose another brand. I cringe when I see them saying longest lasting trucks on the road. Good luck and dont buy a junk Hemi. It is only as good as its parts.

If they would have developed a good vehicle from the start the EcoDiesel owners would not have this problem. Have tried to get Ram to buy back or supplement rebate on a gas truck with no success. Buyers beware of Rams EcoDiesels. If buying a truck to have at home think twice.

2009 Dodge Ram 4X4. On December 2, 2011, I took the truck to dealership for seat belt light in dash. They could not fix the first time. Second time, they fixed the light. After that, the gas gauge was stuck on full. Three times I took back the truck, still not fixed. The dealership emptied 1/2 tank of gas and dispose of it. The gauge moved to 3/4 after they called me to pick up the truck. I was told the problem was corrected. I filled up the tank with gauge showing 3/4. It took 21 gallons. The tank capacity is 26 gallons. The gauge is back to full and will not move after 80 miles. The truck has 17,710 miles. As of Jan. 4, 2012, the gas gauge is still not working. I will not rest until this truck is fixed, then trade it in for a Toyota or Ford. 3 years warranty ends on March 31, 2012.

Bought a 2015 limited Dodge Ram. This truck has the air suspension. Had it for a couple months and it would not start. The fob would unlock the door and remotely start the truck but would not allow you to push the button to take over from remote start and drive. Finally got it started after approx. 1hr. The next morning took to dealer. Had it three days, replaced fobs. Worked for two weeks, happened again. Had to be towed. It has now been at the dealer for three weeks? They dont know what the problem is. Have replaced fobs again but no luck. Said it is a star case and engineers are working on it. Apparently that would make me feel so much better?I called Chrysler service and got absolutely no help AT ALL. What a joke. I have owned four dodges up till now, all bought new. Think this will be my last one. When I had the truck towed it took them four hours to get here. They gave me a rental to drive. Its a Ram, six cylinder that would not pull a trailer and does not even have a hitch. I spent over 50K on a truck and they give me a 20K replacement. What a joke!!! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

We installed both a front and rear bumper replacement on a 2016 Dodge Ram. During the process we removed the sensors in the factory bumpers and reinstalled them in the aftermarket bumpers. The sensors failed to come back on so we sent it to the Dodge dealership for re-calibration. They discovered that six of the sensors had failed. The total bill will be just under $1000. How is it that these sensors are so sensitive that they cannot stand such a simple process as removal and re-installation? If these sensors are really this sensitive, they must be a faulty design and should be recalled.

Aug. 28, 2017, while driving a 2015 Dodge 1500 Eco Diesel at 40 mph with 41000 miles, recently serviced, truck lost power, tach went to zero, white smoke billowed from the back of the engine hood in front of windshield. Noticed a large oil or fuel slick on the passenger side of road, 3 feet to the outside of the truck. Engine compartment fully engulfed in flames within 4-5 min. Truck cab was inflamed by 7 min. It has been raining but I cant even take it to a car wash. And now the third, the engine cut off. The dealer is telling me its the alternator and its not covered under warranty because it was muddy. Even they advertise it going in mud, mountains etc. I am very disappointed of this truck. Seems that I wont be able to take to work anymore and leave it in the parking at home since it wont survive mud. Never going to buy a Dodge truck ever again. I am the original owner of a 2008 Ram 2500 w/ Cummins 6.7L engine. The truck has been serviced religiously. I purchased the vehicle because Cummins has a stellar reputation. Or so I thought. As soon as the warranty expired, the engine computer motherboard failed. The cost was $3,000.00 and it took three trips to the dealer to completely install the motherboard correctly. Hey, things happen, correct? Recently, I have had a consistent engine light on. At 70,000 miles, I took the vehicle in for service. After a diagnosis, the code of P2262 was the most prevalent code and it signifies a turbo failure. Replacement cost is $4,901.00. I called Dodge to express my concern and they refused to stand behind their product. While I have researched blogs and forums for a reasonable solution, at the end of the day, I have a Cummins diesel engine, with two major failures, before the vehicle turns 70,250 miles. This is an inferior product with an inferior organization (Chrysler-Dodge) standing behind it. Run, dont walk, away from FCA (Fiat Chrysler).

I been trying to have my Dodge Ram Truck 2012 fixed since earlier this year. Each time I bring the Ram to shop I been told it cannot be repaired because the part for the recall is not available. Each time I call a case is open up and a few days or weeks later the case is closed for one or another reason. The last case was open on 11/9 and I was instructed to bring the Ram to the shop. My son went to the local Dodge Country Dealer, and was told the part is not available till Feb. 2019 and there is nothing they can do. Meanwhile the Ram make a terrible noise after the gear jumps out on low speed, intersections or red lights and no one will touch it to see what the problem is because of the recall.Mrs. **, a manager, called and stated after her research between the Dodge Dealer and the Parts Department at Dodge, that recall part is only shipped out in a number of 5 and only every 7 days. We are on the list at the Dodge Country dealership but this does not help much because even that Dodge Dealer states there so many trucks and not enough parts. This is not acceptable and I request that something is done. I have a 2012 Dodge Ram Truck with a bit over 63000 miles and I am barely driving it because of the concern to cause more damage to the transmission. It seems that Dodge customer service does and cannot assist with this issue. I send letters, called, posted on the Dodge website and all I get is: Sorry there is nothing we can do back because Mopar Parts does not ship more than 5 parts at the time.

Other than that, it is used to commute to my shop, or for enjoyment, hunting etc. All was pretty good with it for the first 18K miles. Then the rear end went, with a bang. It went again about 20K later. The fuel pump, 5 injectors, 4 coils, all spark plug wires, intake manifold gaskets, and the catalytic converter went bad. Two O2 sensors, the headlight dimmer switch, the ignition switch and the body control computer failed. Both upper and lower ball joints on both sides had to be replaced along with the tie rod ends. Both right and left front axle u-joints failed along with the front drive shaft u-joints. The rear drive shaft u-joints failed.... 4 times EACH. The tail light electrical harness failed. The hood latch broke twice. The tailgate latch failed after 150 miles, causing the gate to fall open and dent itself on the trailer we were hauling. The e-brake failed. All four rotors rotted away, and 2 calipers failed. The front axle bearings failed. The bolts holding the left exhaust manifold rotted away, TWICE. The right hand manifold bolts failed once. The left side headlight harness failed. The catalytic converter failed again. The transmission shift control malfunctioned. The muffler rotted out. The tailpipe fell off. The oil pan rusted through. The air conditioning blender doors broke twice..... $1000 each time. The serpentine belt tensioner fell off. The anti-lock brake controller failed. The left side of the pickup box rusted through above the wheel well. The sliding rear window leaked from day one. The headlight switch broke. The body control computer failed a second time. The check engine light came on for a total of at LEAST 40 times, and was checked, reset, fixes made and turned off each time. AND, that was only after I only started counting after the first year. AND, all of this took place in 62,000 miles. The truck cost me $8500 out of pocket for the last year I owned it. After 62K miles, I FINALLY got rid of it. And, I am NOT hard on my truck. I have another vehicle for work. THIS one was for pleasure. It received proper maintenance and service, and still was a POS. NEVER buying Dodge again, and this was the fourth I had........ NEVER again.

2014 RAM 2500 6.7 Cummins Limited top of the line 4x4 - I bought this truck
2014 RAM 2500 6.7 Cummins Limited top of the line 4x4 - I bought this truck new in Florida in Sept of 2014. Little did I know. Since then, it has spent close to 40 days in the dealership on over 10 occasions for a variety of problems. Electrical, suspension and worst of all, engine issues. The DEF system has caused two breakdowns out of town (you get this wonderful warning that your engine will go into limp mode-5mph in 150 miles). Great when youre over 150 miles away from home. The DEF tanks, heater, gauges and complete exhaust including emissions have been replaced. Yeah, the FEDs have made these problems and I dont think any diesel manufacturer has avoided issues. Anyway, I had it. After spending $70,000 on a truck that breaks down all the time, I used Floridas lemon law and Chrysler didnt even argue with me on it. In the middle of getting another vehicle, but still driving mine. While waiting for a replacement (going with gas), the tailgate got stuck closed and still is. The truck handles nice, has a great stereo and is super comfortable but enough is enough. I read some of the same issues with the RAM eco-diesel. Anyway, I know that pre-DEF diesels are great but if you are considering a new one, forget it. You will hate yourself after the warranty expires.

I owned a 3500 diesel 2012 which the garage could not fix due to the O2 censors kept shooting up and putting the check engine light on. Dodge bought the truck out and we replaced it with a 2500 gas 2014 truck. This truck had a rear end whine in it. The garage we bought it from said it was like opening Pandoras box and did not want to fix it. This whine was between 50-60 mph. We then took it to another dealer and they heard the whine and opened the rear end but did not see anything wrong with it. The truck had 12,000 miles on it with original warranty and an extended warranty on it. The dealer charged $172.00 to have the whine worse 45-50 mph than when we brought it in to be fixed. Bottom line is go buy a FORD or Chevrolet not a Dodge Ram. Two strikes and youre out forever.

I bought a Dodge Ram 2500 4 by 4 Cummins diesel 2015 model at Carl Gregory of Savannah Ga. I was told they would have my side steps black wheel to wheel for my truck that Friday. They put me off 5 different dates over a 3 week period to end up telling me they couldnt even get them (cost figured in price of truck). I ending up telling them to get them from OReillys auto parts or either Pep Boys and I gave them the part number to both, only to find out later that Mopar does carry the black wheel to wheel Mega Cab side steps. Now after owning it for six weeks my tire pressure sensors have gone out. It is now been the shop four times for a total of over 10 days and has yet to be repaired. The last time Carl Gregory had my truck, they had it for 6 days and did not do anything. They had told me it needed a module but after 6 days still do not have it put in. Now I have taken it to a new dealer to see if they can fix it. It has been there one day and they have ordered a sensor to see if they can fix it when there are 4 sensors that are not working. This is my first Dodge and probably my last. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation customer service....and my back Friday.

I dont pay 52k for a vehicle and the motor to drop a valve seat in motor. Gonna cost me 10 to 15k to repair motor. Any motor should last long than 144k. I have been a brand loyalist since 1986. This is my 6th RAM truck. We factory ordered a 2018 2500 HD 6.4 SLT with the options we wanted and needed for towing. Truck was delivered 12/2017. The day after delivery we noticed an abnormal start up noise from the engine compartment. With less than 100 miles we took it into a local dealer for inspection. After 7 inspection, demonstration and repair visits. 21 days in service and 8 months of driving with a monoxide sensor on the dash. FCA determined that the truck exhaust leak could not be fixed. They offered to replace the truck or refund our money. We elected to order an exact replacement truck. Frankly, other than the exhaust leak, this is the best RAM truck we have owned. All other functions, features, performance and comfort are 5 star. We received the replacement truck 1/2019. At 80-100 miles the replacement truck developed the same noise. FCA, Ramcares and our dealer found it hard to believe that one customer could receive 2 factory defects for exhaust leak. We have asked FCA and our dealer to repair the leak. We are not going to order another truck or take our money back. This truck is going to be fixed. At this time we have not received a response to our request for repair. We have done a full investigation of this issue/problem. It is a known problem on some 2500 HD 6.4 trucks. The cause is in part the assembly process and in part the design and parts quality. We have gotten some great intelligent help from MOPAR parts people, RAM techs and the internet. We have decided to order the repair parts and have a qualified outside tech repair the truck properly at our expense. We will address FCA-RAM when the repairs are completed. Dodge-RAM has come a long way in product quality and customer satisfaction over the last 30 years. I believe the companys recent decision to have the head of RAM focus only on the RAM Brand will result in correction of these type of quality problems. However, senior management needs to get out in the field and engage the reputational risk that the brand is experiencing. The vendor parts quality issues and assembly issues can be fixed.

Apparently Chrysler released a service bulletins with this very problem Im here. I purchased a used ram 3500 for use on my farm and to pull my camper and haul my sxs back in Feb 2016 with 44,000 miles on it. In July 2016 took a trip to Florida and the check engine light came on. Took in when I returned home they reprogrammed the pcm. hence turned off the light. At the end of July 300 miles later I went to Tenn. The light came on again on my return home. 30 miles from home the traction control 4 wheel drive and anti lock brake lights came on. So I scheduled an appointment for the following Friday. Dropped it off at 8 am the 5th of Aug. They have put 4 or 5 parts on it all have had to be ordered. They still have the truck 3 going on 4 weeks later and the part they say it now needs is on national back order until the 6th of Sept. I have tried to get my money back as its holding me up on things I need to do. The dealer says no and Chrysler complaint dept has done nothing but follow up with the dealer occasionally calling me... saying that it doesnt qualify for a buyback. How do you sell vehicles you can keep parts for and how long is too long to have to wait? My patience are done... MY SUGGESTION IS DO NOT BUY A RAM PRODUCT CAUSE THEY DO NOT BACK THEM. Since I work with the public and go above and beyond to keep my customers satisfied, I believe this is very poor customer service.

I was told the cover did not fit and they wanted to drive my truck to the place that installed leather 180 miles roundtrip and the trans was put on computer and it was fixed. But I did not want to have someone drive my truck 180 miles to order cover and I would come back but they never called me back, so I went to pick it up and they were closing but was told trans was okay and it is still banging. I want to bring it to a service center closer to my home, 07074, but no one will give me a loaner car.

Since we got the Ram Dodge 2007 1500 pickup in 2008 from the dealership, the 4 wheel drive truck will all of a sudden die when I hit some bumps on our dirt road where we live (I am not 4 wheeling either, I have kids in the car). This happens randomly. We have taken it in now for 3 times. First time, they said they saw that it happened on the computer. However, the second and third time, they said they didn’t see it and that it was because my key chain was too heavy. Since 2008, it has died while driving on my dirt road at least 8 times. I just pray it never does it on a bumpy road, on the freeway or highway. Does anyone else have this problem? I don’t take it to the dealership anymore because they say it is because of my keys. Well, I changed it so now it is light so it can’t be that.

Purchased this truck new in November 2018. Brought it into dealer for their recall V06 possible loss of steering control. 7040 miles on it. Dealership performed factory mandated correction of welding the jam nuts in place on the draglink assembly. When I requested the drag link components be replaced with whatever the new trucks coming off the line have, they said their hands were tied by the factory to just weld the adjustment solid. This makes it necessary to grind off the welds for any adjustment in the future, and then re-weld them. This is not acceptable to me.No one with Chrysler will say how many times this potential cut the welds and re-weld process could be done. No one at Chrysler seems to know if the new trucks coming off their line have the assembly jam nuts welded. No one at Chrysler seems to care about the fact that I now own this truck with a diminished value as a result of this band aid fix, that is no longer adjustable. It is not what I purchased when new and I think it should be repaired to Like New condition. I have been told that they are not doing anything further and I am just going to have to accept their fix. I feel I have exhausted any further action with the Ram case management division as they have indicated they have no one with any more authority to consider this problem. Told them I will not be buying any Chrysler products again and got the impression they really dont care.

2020 Ram Longhorn seats are uncomfortable and painful. Beautiful truck however, it is undriveable due to the extremely poor seat design. The contour of the seat design hurts the legs and hips and was not thought out whatsoever, which destroys what would be a great truck. I have a 2012 Dodge RAM 5.7 Hemi with a #5 misfire problem. The problem was reported to the dealership at the last oil change, but all they did was reset the fault code and returned the vehicle to service, exclaiming they could not duplicate the problem. Took it in last week and informed them of my concerns. Two days ago, received a call from the Tech Representative requesting permission to accomplish a complete tuneup, i.e. spark plugs, possible bad coil pack, and to perform a fuel system clean and flush. Aghast, I responded that this was a complete waste of time! On top of that, the service departments wants $775.00 dollars just for a tuneup. Obviously I think they are trying to find ways to make normal servicing so expensive that I would either choose to take my truck back and fix it myself (which voids the warranty), or to pay them a hell of a lot of money to do something that would only take about 1.5 hours. This is so they could pay the techs and the Reps labor for completing a warranty replacement, should it come down to that.I already know what is wrong with the engine. #5 (and sometimes, 1, and 3 cylinders) have a history of failing due to faulty valve seat design. The hemi heads utilized pressed-in valve seats that are powder coated from Mexico (theres problem number 1), and these rings eventually work themselves out of the valve ports, mostly the exhaust side, but sometimes the intake side. As the seats back out, but doesnt completely fall out, compression is lost although not entirely gone. This explains why some of the misfiring only happens at 3/4 to WOT responses. In severe cases, the seats come out complete resulting in destroying the piston, the heads, and possibly the timing chain if enough forced impact occurs.I have 4,000 miles left on the warranty, and it is quite clear that the dealership in Sumter South Carolina is trying to throw the vehicle back at me without actually repairing my truck. And if the tune-up doesnt solve the problem, they will have constituted SOME labor expenses from the most expensive tune-up in recorded history! $95 diagnostic charge, and nearly $700 bucks for a tuneup for no more than 1 to 2 hours of work! What ticks me off is how Chrysler has continued to engage in mafia style treatment in forcing consumers to buy their crap, con them into buying the extended warranty, and yet refuse to honor the warranty when circumstances are warranted. How in the name of God are these people allowed to continue bamboozling the American people?I have been screwed twice before from Dodge! My 1997 Dodge Stratus 2.4 liter lost a head gasket at 48,000 miles. Repairs were at my own expensive at about $650 bucks. A year later, the gasket failed again, only this time resulting in a seized engine! I next bought a 2002 Stratus R/T with the worthless 2.7 liter engine. This engine lost a water pump at 89,000 miles. But because the pump is internal, and a special tool is required to depressurize the timing chain tension pump, I was left with paying Chrysler some $900 dollars in repairs. 8 months later, it failed again only this time destroying the engine! Now my 2012 RAM may need an engine replacement, and at best, the dealership will choose a Jasper engine which are nothing but crap! Total crap! And thats even if the dealership doesnt try backing the truck back at me with a continued problem! The solution folks? DO NOT BUY DODGE! And ignore some of the online trolls telling you they have over 300,000 miles and counting on their trucks and cars. Some (if not all) of those people are paid trolls to defend Chryslers worthless piles of junk! The 5.9 engines were not that bad. Sure they were under-powered compared to the Hemis, but very rarely did any 5.9 engines fail except under vehicle maintenance neglect. There is absolutely no reason why my 2012 Dodge RAM truck should have a worn camshaft, worn lifter roller, faulty valve-seat rings, and all leading to misfiring of cylinder 5 with under 100,000 miles accumulated!Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! Fool me thrice, then double shame on me! I swear to Chrysler that I will never buy another Dodge vehicle ever again! Moreover, I will ensure that no future customers are fooled into buying your pieces of crap! Facebook, Youtube, online forms will be filled with my rants! And trust me! Ive personally seen three people in my town with this very same problem, 2 of which had theirs repaired under warranty, but the other screwed. Looks like I am next!

While driving my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, the ignition shuts down. The truck stalls out and I lose power steering and control. This has happened on several occasions and many times nearly caused an accident. I have spoke with Dodge about this dangerous situation more than once and have taken my vehicle into the local Dodge dealer for repairs. Some of the repairs were performed on a recall status, however this stalling problem has not been addressed and does not show up on the computer; therefore it doesnt exists!! My truck stalled five times yesterday and had to struggle to steer it off the road to prevent a rear-end collision. My wife was with me twice and refuses to ride in this vehicle any longer. I called Dodge yesterday and was on hold for 35 minutes. I finally called a representative not associated with any recalls and expressed my dissatisfaction concerning this matter. I was told there would be a 24 hour time period before a supervisor returned my call. I have not heard as yet. I clearly do not know what to do. I need this vehicle for my work and it has been modified to tow vehicles. I just cant climb in another vehicle and perform my duties. Dodge does not want to admit there is a problem because then it would have to be added to their long list of recalls. I wonder if it will show up on their computers when there is a fatality. Apparently, they have scheduled another appointment at a different dealer to check the truck again. I will have to take time off work and only hope I arrive there safely.

Warranty Service: My 2011 Dodge Truck (VIN **) was taken to Crown Dodge, initially, for a shimmy at 70MPH (on cruise control). The problem was noticed when I decreased my average speed from 75MPH to 70MPH to save gas. The problem exists when ascending/descending long hill. The truck was taken to Crown Dodge 4 times; each time, something was done to correct the fault. However, after being told it was fixed, I drove it home on the I-44 turnpike, and the situation each time was the same. The final analysis was that it is the nature of the beast - that engine has such torque. A local independent repair facility assured me it was not the U-Joints. I took the truck to Central Oklahoma Dodge yesterday and gave the information above. Today, they tell me (Mark) that they cannot duplicate the problem. He (Mark) is going to take the truck on the freeway tomorrow to try to duplicate the problem. My question is, what if he duplicates the problem? Then what? If it is the nature of the beast, nothing can be done. I am unable/unwilling to drive a vehicle with a known problem. I converted to Dodge from Chevy/Ford at the suggestion of my close friend. This is my second Dodge. Please advise soonest. (I am unable to talk on the phone due to Cochlear implant. If you need me to call you, I have to use my CapTel phone.) Thank you.

I first purchased my 2019 Dodge Ram pickup back in April, everything went great I purchased an all black Big Horn. The whole dealership came to congratulate me on being the first to purchase. I received random thumbs up from strangers I was enjoying the truck as my daily driver, picking up the kids etc. Fast forward to my current experience with my Ram and I haven’t driven it a full week since August due to my power steering locking up at random times. The most recent time was two days ago where I couldn’t even get out the driveway nor turn the truck back into my yard without the power steering hindering my turn. After sitting in the waiting area a total of 10 hours, driving 3 different loaner vehicles, I now feel like purchasing this truck was one of my worst experiences I’ve made. I know that many new vehicles have small things but I feel that the safety of my family and I has been at risk and the best I could get is a truck that locks back up the next day. Do better Dodge this is embarrassing.

The new 12 Inch Electronic/Radio Display System doesnt work. Unable to make hands free phone calls, or access their Uconnect on vehicle support service because there is high levels of static and very low volume. This $70,000 truck has been back to the dealer twice, within the first month of ownership. Both times, the dealer was unable to repair the problem. They claim they have been in touch with the RAM Techline, who instructed them to run an updated software download. They did it, but it did not repair the problem. I have now been told I have to wait, Possible as long as December for the next new software download. Why they think that software update will work, given they said the first software update they completed was supposed to fix the problem and it didnt. In addition to the technology problems Ive experienced, the optional hard bed cover leaks!!DONT make the same mistake I did. I owned Chevy trucks for 15 years, but decided to try a Dodge. DONT make the same mistake I did and buy this truck. Unfortunately Im one of those people RAM refers to in the advertising campaign by saying: More People Are Switching To RAM. All I can say in response to that campaign slogan is More People Are Being Disappointed With RAM!!!

Love the powerful engine, but not worth the headaches. Tons of recalls... 3 in the last week!!! Brought truck in for its first tire rotation and the mechanic asked if I had been in an accident as the entire truck bed is nearly 2” out of alignment (shifted to the left) with the front cab! Radio, navigation system, AND hands-free phone system all started to glitch at 48, 000 miles. Would cost over $700 to replace. The body looks beautiful, but dents much easier than ANY of my trucks... I’ve owned GMC and FORD prior to purchasing my RAM. Very frustrated with all the service issues and not having a navigation system that was quite pricey!

I have told others about the key sticks in the switch. Also I had the truck towed to the dealer in Salisbury, MD. The tow company got the wrecker in my neighbors yard and she charged me $400 to have the yard fixed. Then on top of that, they did not take my truck where it was supposed to go (to the dealership). Not only am I upset with the tow company, but with Chrysler. If this problem is not fixed, I am taking the the truck back to the dealer. I am going to leave it and get a Chevy truck. I expect this be taken care of and give back the money I have already spent. I will not go back to Dodge Chrysler.

I bought my 2016 Dodge Ram 4X4 Cummings diesel used in Coldwater Michigan. I live in Northern Indiana. The truck had 33,000 miles on it. I have had no problems with this truck. Changed the fuel filters when I first got it and did an oil change. The truck runs like a top. I haul a 32 foot travel trailer in the summer months to go camping and it tows so much better than my gas model Ram 2500. It was a 2008. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Love this truck...

Just purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tate Dodge in Glen Burnie, MD 1 1/2 hrs away, 3 weeks ago. I started hearing a chirping noise at 5 mph on turns or driving straight after 4 days of purchasing. I took it to a closer Dodge dealer for inspection and they said truck has water damage . The technician says there is a lot of caked on mud, rust all the way in the bottom to top of vehicle. He explained that it shows signs of water damage. I explained this to Tate and they refused to refund me my money and no one has fixed the chirping sound.

A week ago, on June 25, 2013, I arrived home at 4 pm and left with a friend and was notified by my neighbor at 6:30 pm that my truck which had been parked since 4 pm was fully engulfed in flames. He held water from the garden hose on it until the VFD arrived to extinguish what was left. The end result is that from the cab forward, it is totally burned to the ground. With only liability insurance on it, its a total loss with no idea how it caught on fire. The point of origin looks to be from the drivers side fender well area under the hood. Ive heard numerous rumors of the fuse boxes shorting out, and/or the avs shorting out causing the fire. Thus far, Ive not seen or heard of any recall from Dodge. Can anyone guide me to the correct direction for restitution for my truck that was in great condition with many more miles of dependability left in it or so I thought? Is Dodge going to stand behind their product that has been proven by other owners to have this problem and make good for it? Or just keep taking our money for vehicles with a lifespan of maybe lasting long enough to pay them off before just having to dispose of it?

I am going hell with my Ram Promaster 1500 2015 I purchased 2 and half year
I am going hell with my Ram Promaster 1500 2015 I purchased 2 and half years. From day one it just has cause problems. Brakes went after 15,000 miles. Dealer (Dodge Ram Central Ave Yonkers NY) said there was nothing with them even though my mechanic told me there was and to bring it back to dealer as for the van was still under warranty. Nevertheless they wouldn’t change them. It cost me $1200 out of my own pocket. Now for this last 2 weeks my van has been making weird noises, found one of radiator fans was broke so couldn’t use my ac till it was fixed then I was told the part that I need is on national back order and will take 1 -2 months to get. Wow now 2 days the other fan went and van is overheating and the only way I can drive is if I have heat on full blast which is impossible with 80 degree weather. Ram has told me that I shouldn’t drive the van as it could cause more damage. My mechanic has told there is 1400 people waiting for this part. It’s manufactured problem and ram hasn’t even issue a recall. They won’t give me loaner van. I now have to pay to rent a van $550 a week out of pocket till part is made which could be 1/2 months. They actually can’t give me ETA. I really think this should be looked into. Big corporations shouldn’t be able to get with this. I pay $38000 for this van which I shouldn’t have any problems for least 4/5 Years. Why should I have to pay for rental when’s it’s a manufacturer issue. Please help.

Executive Summary: The American Automotive Industry as we once knew it and in some circumstances its new European/Asian owners has and continues to set higher and higher standards for not only our convenience, but always with safety in mind. And having had and witnessed some really bad automobile accidents, I for one am grateful for their due diligence. This document speaks to the topic of safety. The DEF System warning that shuts trucks down after some pre-defined distance is dangerous to all who own or operate one. Many of us spend countless hours in our trucks and often at remote locations. This piece of programming needs to be recalled and adjusted such that it does not shut down the truck, but simply warns the operator of the need for service as quickly as is reasonable. The Solution: Reprogram the controller module and change the service warning limitations such that they are benign but not ignored. The Benefits: Safety of all customers and consumers driving our highways. The call to action: Reprogram the controller module and change the service warning limitations. I purchased my second (new) Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn 3500 Dually 4X4 in July of 2013 from Allen Samuels Dodge on the South Loop in Houston, Texas in July 2013. Up until the circumstances Im about to describe, I can honestly say Ive been happy with the product and its performance. And, since I spend a significant amount of time in my truck with or hauling animals, reliability and safety is constantly on my mind. Getting stranded at any time is not an option although flat tires are often unavoidable on the trailers.December 2, 2014. I am a senior consultant for a small firm where we support an engineering software application that requires occasional out of state travel. This past December the firm received a call from a client that had an emergency and needed someone on site within 48 hours to assist them for a month or more. I packed, kenneled my dog and headed for Wilmington, NC from my home in Bellville, TX within 12 hours. I chose to drive due to weather conditions at the time, not wanting to get caught in any airport delays. Again, time was of the essence and with just under 48,000 mile on the truck had no reason to believe there would be any systems issues. The oil had been changed the day prior, tire pressure was good, DEF tank was full and I had just fueled up.December 3, 2014. I was sitting in traffic on I-10 just 20 miles outside of Baton Rouge, LA when the DEF System warning of the need for service within 200 miles needed to occur or the system would kick in a governor that would prevent the vehicle from going more that 5mph. I immediately contacted the Dodge dealership in Baton Rouge (Salsburys Dodge, 9550 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA (225) 926-8800). They were terrific, I had them replace the fuel filters and according to their accounting, they flashed the module and I was on my way in an hour and a half. Its now after 5pm. I needed to make Mobile, AL or beyond that night.December 4, 2014- February 24, 2015. I returned home on January 15, 2015, have had a couple of oil changes, radiator flush and new antifreeze added at a RAM dealership in Wilmington, NC, more DEF added to the tank and were now at 54000 plus miles. The late afternoon of February 24, 2015 I was heading home from Houston, TX and the DEF System warning came back on. Once again I have 200 miles to get service. Since the Tommy Vaughan Dodge Dealership is the closest to my home at this point and I had a good friend who had just purchased his RAM from them a couple of months ago, I headed in on the morning of February 25th. 100 miles before the DEF System programming will shut me down. I made the call to Tommy Vaughan and scheduled service for in the morning at 8am.February 25, 2015, 8am through February 27, 2015 4:30pm. The initial item noted was the need to replace the air filter. This did not resolve the DEF System error message as was suggested. The folks at Tommy Vaughan Dodge worked tirelessly for the next three days troubleshooting the issue and appeasing me. None of the module errors alerted them to the real issue. It took numerous calls to Chrysler by them and me to get technical support to their personnel with little or no success.I contacted my service manager at Allen Samuels to determine if she had experienced anything similar. She suggested it was the DEF System Pump. Additional diagnostics proved this to be true. Still no success with DEF System pressure through the injector. Turned out this needed to be replaced as well due to the failure of the pump. ONLY after much frustration (mine), the issue is resolved and Im back on the road. Three days later. Loss of work is 30 man-hours at a consulting rate and more frustration than you can imagine.A consumer at the mercy of failed manufacturer procedures. Total cost of repairs was just under $1300.00 (warranty on the DEF System parts had exhausted at 50,000 miles. I had just above 54000). RAM was not willing to help me out with the cost of parts and labor. The pump and injector should have been RECALLED in that nationally, there are 70 of these pumps on back order for RAM. What do the folks do that cant get parts? Lose use of their vehicle or is the DEF System temporarily by-passed, I wonder? So, why the long letter and what do I really want?I want the DEF System module that is programmed to shut the trucks down at 200 miles to be re-programmed such that you get the warning that the system needs service, but does not put me and countless other drivers like me across America in a potentially life threatening situation as a result of Clean Air Act mandates.I have hauled horses across the United States, served as the equine ambulance driver for horses that were on their way to colic surgery (two hours from a venue in Montana) and drive 75 miles one way to work each morning with animals and people at home relying on my safe return for their well-being. My 2013 RAM cost me $65,000.00 (it was my second in a two year period, I purchased my first $55,000.00 RAM in 2011).That all major automobile manufacturers put every single diesel truck owner in America in harms way is unacceptable. How many wrecks are caused because a driver was suddenly shut down to 5mph, or could not get to dealer within 200 miles to address DEF System issues? Why are 70 DEF System pumps on back order? How many are on back order for the other truck manufacturers? In my own case, the Columbus, TX service department had to go to Brenham, TX to get the replacement pump and to La Grange, TX to get the injector. And where I am grateful to their heroic efforts, what if I had been stranded in a far more remote location? With a 40 trailer and 8 horses in tow heading to an international event 3000 miles from my home? What is Dodge going to do for me then? Or FORD, GM, Chevrolet? What if the DEF System had been in place during Hurricanes Katrina or Rita or Ike? Would we have been shutdown on a crowded Freeway attempting to escape harms way? What about the next hurricane season? Emergency vehicles? What if youre in the ambulance thats headed to a hospital some 200 miles away and the DEF System warning occurs. Do you mean to tell me the ambulance will need to be out of service until a service department can find parts?I ask, do you have three days to wait for a situation that was completely avoidable? Im not a bureaucrat; Im just a working person. Like all my friends that own diesel trucks that are in the same situation Im in. Do the right thing. Recall all the DEF System equipment and replace it, reprogram the DEF module warning system and stop shutting people down.Im all about cleaning up the environment meant even if its with a colorless, odorless product that can kill people and animals if accidentally ingested, and although Ive not tried it, I understand its pretty good at cleaning stains on concrete. But dont leave people stranded because of pre-determined mechanical obsolescence (in excess of 50,000 miles or is it base upon vehicle operational hours?).Do the right thing. Recall all the DEF System equipment and replace it, reprogram the DEF module warning system and stop shutting people down. Thank you for your time and consideration. This document will be sent to all the major US and European automotive manufacturers and made public via DEF forums and all forms of electronic communications effective immediately including Consumer Report. Once this recall is in place to include the reprogramming of the DEF Module, I will follow-up with a thank you letter to all.

I own a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually truck, and it has 64,900 miles on it. I took it to an authorized factory warranty service center for mopar. They have told me that I need either a rebuild or new transmission. I opted to get the new transmission from Chrysler/Mopar. I sent an email to Chrysler.com. I explained that I have less that 65,000 miles on the truck and that I had to pay $4,000. I received a call from Sabrina; she said that my truck was still under warranty, and she would investigate.Chrysler will not pay for my transmission since I did not go to an authorized Chrysler service center, and they did not do the work. I explained that the transmission alone is under warranty, and it is a Mopar part. The service center I took it to is an authorized factory warranty service center for Mopar. Sabrina said that since Chryler did not do the diagnostic or service on it, they cant reimburse me. I have explained that I am asking for a reimbursement for the transmission and not for the labor, installation or diagnostic.

I purchased a Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. And I love this truck. It rides smooth. This truck is great for on and off road. This truck gets up and goes no hesitation. But I would make the dodge level. I dont like the fact that the front of the truck is approx 2 inches lower than the back suspension. I also would maybe put a nicer rim on this vehicle. Also the steering box should be changed in this vehicle. They have been known to cause issues like the death wobble. The slider also needs to be reinforced and a sturdier lock should be used. But I love the body style and comfort of the interior. And the overall appearance and performance of this vehicle. I love the engine sizes you can choose for your lifestyle. Dodge is a very reliable truck. And I chose this vehicle due to reputation of Dodge Ram Tough. Ive never had any problems with it.

The timing chain broke on my 2007 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7L hemi engine with 53,000 miles. After an internal inspection, it appeared as if the timing chain tensioner was to blame. It is a stamped metal piece with plastic runner clipped onto it to keep the timing chain tight. Well, it look as if these plastic pieces failed causing the timing chain to grab the metal on the tensioner and rip it apart snapping the chain and locking up the engine. My vehicle is no longer under factory warranty. But I still contacted Dodge and they say that there is no warranty and that I must take it to the dealer for them to look at it and that any repair would be a Goodwill Repair. I explained to them that I do not have the monetary means to have the vehicle towed to Dodge inspected and then towed home again when they tell me there is no warranty. I still owe more than $21,000.00 on the truck and can’t drive it. What am I to do?

Ram Country Dodge in Del Rio, TX, I had an appointment for the recall on the 2011 Dodge 3500. I was told it would take 2 hours. I left it at noon, went to pick it up at 6 pm because after several calls, it still wasnt finished mainly because they havent even started on it. Finally, after speaking to the owner, I was told they would have it done in 30 minutes.Several weeks later, the truck died while I was driving it. It was towed to Crenwelge Motors in Fredricksburg, TX where we were told after 5 days of being there, that the recall had never been done and that the fuel pump in the tank was not working. The day the truck was picked up and driven about 45 miles back to Mason, TX, it was still having some sort of problem. So on the 7th of August, it was taken to All American Chrysler in San Angelo, TX. It is still there and we were told that there are 7 errors coming up on the computer. We are not happy at all with the fact that we have a brand new truck and the problems and the runaround we have gotten. Our daughter drives that truck and is in college and needs it. I would like someone to get in touch with me immediately.

Completely undependable. Too many problems to list here. In the shop with great frequency. Significant safety issues. Service Department doesnt know how to fix it. Chrysler ignoring warranty and refuses to buy the vehicle back. This is the first Chrysler (Ram) product I have ever purchased and it will be the LAST!! This truck was in the shop with just over 1000 miles on it having major components replaced and almost two years later it continues to be undependable, unsafe, glitchy, and in the Service Department repeatedly. Chrysler refuses to stand behind their product, they have ignored the warranty, they have treated me like I am fabricating issues to the point that I have started taking pictures/video of incidents that occur to prove these issues are occurring. They refuse to buy the truck back, they dont care that some of the problems are safety concerns, they just want their money and dont give a damn about the customer (who is apparently NEVER right!!). 1400 miles and noticed pull, steering wheel off center, tires cupping 2nd, center and 3rd rib, wobble left had curves, had to wait 10 days for appointment, so I parked it. Told it was normal tire wear for a dually. No problem found. They set tone. What about steering wheel and pull? Also, this is important: I had been to 2 dealerships and they didnt know the proper tire pressure required. They will put too low pressure in fronts and create an excuse for outside tire wear. I showed them the specs on door pillar. Had to call for authorization for offset ball joint. Service Mgr. told me he heard they had a problem with rotated right axle when it was welded. Uh oh. I called Customer Service FBA. They called me before I picked up truck, wanted to know if I wanted to go to Arbitration? I told them I had worked for Dodge 25 years ago and knew I had to give them 3 wishes, wish they could fix it. Oh. And, I hadnt been called to tell me the truck was done! I was offered road hazard/lifetime balance and rotate from national chain for $160. I took it after 4th rotation and balance 2 unconventional rotation dismounting fronts from rim and swapping by 7900 miles 4th trip to service and 2 rotates and balances from them! At this point Ive been escalated to another acronym for customer service. I provided tire tread wear patterns to service for cupping in ribs, contacted Nexen tire, sent pictures, they concur that its mechanical. I had sent them pictures of bowed right front spring, too.1 service order I questioned the ride height, Right front 1 lower than left, left rear 2 higher than right. Within tolerance after calling tech support. Did you measure and document your findings? No, they took my word for it. Tech rep came and looked at it. Service wrote it up that I was concern about outer tire wear, returning to me my handwritten concerns - nowhere does it say outer cupping in ribs. I even attached a drawing asking about the tolerance of a bowed spring. Contacted General Mgr. of dealership about my complaints not being represented to Chrysler correctly, showed him a picture of the spring. Thats bent he said. I told him his service department has had it in here and they say, cant duplicate it or thats normal for a dually. G.M. would get involved. Spring and 2 tires just arrived. While the tech advisor was there they drove a new truck to compare with mine. The route I discovered would replicate my complaint: accelerator ramp entering highway with a seam in asphalt from here to here on interstate (left sweeping curve, 40 to 80 miles per hour) Wobbles like a hub or a spindle problem yet this has an axle. They drove the same they said. They pointed out which one, I had driven it to see if I was interested in taking the $5000 over trade value in a previous offer. It had 90 lbs in front tire and was a solid, tight front end. Just like mine when it was new. I measured that trucks ride height - this one is even across. I noticed the slightest wear of feathering across tread. Asked them to get the keys, humor me. Found on TPMS #90 on left front #70 on right front. You just demonstrated you could make a new truck feel just like mine. Such a look I got.Make sure service documents exactly what your complaint(s) are. I now will add, it feels like rt front tire is severe underinflated. I contacted selling dealer in another state and was directed to a larger seller of this type of truck. They havent seen many of these but have been successful replacing axle housing, about $4k to warranty. A whole lot less than Ill be out if I went arbitration since I was told this is all theyll do for me. I wont have to wait long after spring replacement to verify fix, 1 more shot at customer service to get axle housing replaced, or I sue. I think I have enough info to verify its their problem and not the customers lack of rotation.

Alignment issues - pulls to the right. Service manager said this is very common meant while my front tires are wearing out badly. Shimmy at steering wheel at hwy speeds. Service ABS system displays at every start. Told be service rep, basically not to expect much since most of these trucks i.e 2500 are all doing it that it will continue to have a pull on the alignment. Ram trucks look good and the 5.7 motor is very strong but transmission is junk along with their wiring harness. I switched from Chevy to ram just because the price for the ram truck was about ten thousand cheaper. That was my mistake and now Im paying for it. Took it in the next day and they fixed it. Now here I am about another 30 days later and the transmission is not downshifting when going to pass someone! The truck sounded like a belt squealing and it started jerking back and forth trying to go into a gear but couldnt! Check engine light on. Pulled over to nearest parking lot and shifted to park. Turned truck off hoping that would reset the truck. Turned the truck back on about 15 minutes later and went to put into drive and it wouldnt move. Went to put it in reverse and it wouldnt move. I called my husband and he suggested to call the dealership and they can send someone to pick me up; seeing as how this is a brand new truck still under factory warranty! I decided to turn truck back off and wait a little while longer. Next time I started the truck it went into gear but the engine light was still illuminated and it was as if the truck didnt hardly want to go. Drove straight to dealership and they so called fixed it. On my way home from leaving dealership the problem started again! But there are no lights in the dash now when the truck cant go into a lower gear! I run a small business myself and dont have time to keep running back to the dealership! I highly recommend do not buy a Dodge truck! Now that Im talking to a few people about my problems with my truck, it seems to be a common issue with Dodge and their transmissions! Someone needs to take legal action on these dealerships that rip folks off by selling them something they know is going to have serious problems! Now Im gonna take a hard hit when I go to trade this thing in on something more dependable! Please people avoid the 2018 Dodge Ram Laramie 4x4 truck by all means!!!

2013 Dodge Ram - I turned in a claim to Chrysler Corp. because of major rust on the rear axle. They said they are closing the claim because it didnt hurt the performance of the vehicle. The problem is that I looked at a lot of new Chevy Silverados and the axles are a bright black luster with no rust.

I was involved in an accident in a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 truck. The axle broke in the truck and the truck started spinning out of control. Dodge sent an investigator to check the truck and they completely ignored me. They never sent me any information and they never call me. I have been in contact with them lately due to the massive recall being done now. I want the whole world to know that this has been an ongoing problem for a long time.

We have a Diesel 5500 Dodge Ram with that horrible DEF system. During this recent snow storm the computer system told us we had 195 miles to service the DEF system before the truck would CUT OFF. This is the 2nd time in 40,000 miles we have had this happen. We are a snow plowing company,195 miles during a snow storm does not give us a lot of time. We brought the truck into Ross Dodge (Boone, NC) and we were told there was no one to help in service, we took it back the next day and the service people told us they would not look at the truck until the ice and salt had been removed from the bottom of the truck. They did offer to keep it in their bay overnight to melt the debris away. Crazy thing is the truck was needed to (lets all say it together) plow snow. Why couldnt they take it over to their handy car wash and wash it off, or put on their big boy underpants and deal with the dirt? They do not keep the DEF part in stock. So now back to the dealership for a 3rd, or maybe its the 4th, time to replace a part that we have no control over. Why is this part not stocked? It is used on so many Dodge Diesels both commercial and individual. Shame on Dodge for letting one state control their multibillion dollar company. Grow a set and stand up to California!

A plastic cover blew off the passenger side mirror of my 2009 Dodge Ram 150
A plastic cover blew off the passenger side mirror of my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. This occurred while I was driving. I went to the Clear Lake Dodge to get a replacement plastic cover prior to any electronic damage occurring due to environmental exposure. I purchased an extended Bumber/Bumber warranty program at the time of purchase. This is still valid. I was told this was cosmetic and would not be covered under warranty. The mirror, however, would have been covered. There is nothing wrong with the mirror.I was taken to the parts department and told that the $5-10 plastic cover could not be purchased separately. I was informed that the entire mirror assembly would need to be purchased and installed at a later date. I was told by the service manager that this was a Chrysler policy and there was nothing that could be done. I am a loyal Chrysler customer with my previous vehicle being a Pacifica. I will be in the market for future family vehicle purchases. This experience calls into question any future Chrysler product purchases.

My drivers side airbag deployed in my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 as I was driving down the road on Monday. I did not hit anything; it just deployed. I spoke to Chrysler and they told me that because my truck is 17 years old that they are not going to do anything. They are not even interested in finding out why it happened? I know that there are thousands of these trucks still on the road and I think that it is ** of them to not care because of the age of the vehicle. My truck is in great shape and is well taken care of and I am very disturbed with the experience that I just had with them. This may make me think twice before buying another Dodge.

Well, where do I start. We bought a truck from Kernersville Dodge. It was a $3500.00 Dually and paid cash for the truck. We did this in October and we still do not have the title for this vehicle. We have called the dealer and Chrysler several times and each one has told me that the title was mailed. Then I spoke to a manager and she said, Well, we dont have the title to send you, so she didnt know what the first 3 people were talking about. We think that the dealer had not paid off the truck and they still had a lien on the title. I couldnt tell you. I have never been lied to so much.In the meantime. We have had the truck in there for at least 5 times for the vibration. It has been to 3 dealerships now and still Chrysler doesnt want to make it right. Kernersville tried to balance it and then said nothing was wrong. We fussed and fussed until Chrysler sent us to Nichols in Burlington. They did put 2 ties on the front and it was 2 totally different tires then what was on the truck. And they didnt report even doing that job. We fussed about that and they wouldnt make it right. So, we go back to Chrysler and tell them that we are going to get an attorney and get the truck returned and get our money back. The next day we get a call and they have made us an appointment for Crown Dodge in Greensboro. I take the truck in there and the service advisor says oh yeah we had one just like this when he worked at another dealer and we had to fight and fight Chrysler before they would change the tires and it is back tires that we have the issue with. So, he called yesterday and said that Chrysler wouldnt make the tires good and we would have to fight with them. So, I pick it up again today. The other issue was that we had the radio go out and Kernersville ran a test and said to our face that they would change the radio out. We said okay, expecting them to call when they got it in. And we would AGAIN drive 100 miles round trip to get that done. Well, when the Crown Dodge place called Kernersville Dodge to see if they ordered that radio, the guy said, Oh, we already changed that radio out. We knew was a lie. When my husband had talked to them the week before to check on all of this, they said that they had no record of getting a radio or that they even tested the radio. They would have to do that again. We had the paperwork where they did it. So, did they do the test or not. We know they didnt change it out. So, Crown ran their own test and yes the radio is bad and they ordered another. So, now I have in my possession a 60,000 dollar truck with no title and mix match tires that cant be rotated and a radio that goes on and off on its own. Hmmm, but Kernersville Dodge wont make it right. But they were all fine when I was getting ready to make that check out. Oh, yeah I didnt mention that they put the tag under the wrong weight and it was supposed to be a farm tag and it wasnt. Kernersville Dodge did that and didnt want to make that right either. We were told to pay the taxes on the truck and buy another tag. And guess what? I dont have a title or registration to get a tag. The temporary tag has run out. The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealer. They suck. And what makes me so mad is that they dont care. They really could care less if you are a happy customer or not.

While picking up the 2007 Ram, I found water under the back seats. The sales representative assured me it was due to the cleaning and washing of the truck, and if this was a window leak, the dealer will service it. It rained last night, and I found plenty of water under the seats. Now the dealer sale representative and manager denied seeing and saying that the dealer would be responsible for the leakage. I need the rear window to be repaired; the rain or water is affecting the structural integrity of the car due to corrosion. Needless to say, the mildew and smell inside the car is not acceptable. If I would have been aware of this issue, I would have never bought the truck.

Overall the truck is a good truck, has lots of features. I would recommend a test drive and purchase. Just like all vehicles now days, are overpriced, by being over inflation. The big screen on the dash is the biggest in the industry. Truck seems to be solidly built. Lots of electronics for a pleasant drive. The power of the diesel is a great asset with the four wheel drive.

I bought a leftover 2010 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins from the dealer I work at. Since I bought it, its had a vibration issue. The seat is fraying about. There was a sudden loss in power and a sudden drop in fuel mileage. The tires are cupping, the door seals are leaking, and I have added over 3 gallons of antifreeze. After having it in the shop many times, they still cannot find the vibration issue. They do all the recording, because I guess Dodge thinks that the computer vibration analyzer will pick up everything. After being without my truck for 3 weeks, Dodge told my dealer to return the truck to me and that everything was going to be fine - after they didnt have the dealer check for why the antifreeze was running low and why the oil was mysteriously overfull. They then proceeded to tell me that the transfer case seeping oil out was an acceptable oil leak. Are you kidding me? This is a 2010 leftover, newly bought in May 2012 with 7500 miles on it, and they say an oil leak is acceptable? Dodge will not stand behind their products and its an act of God to get stuff warranty! I am very disappointed. Also, the fact is its still in vibration and now seems worse than when I dropped it off!

My complaint is regarding my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie 4X4 Crew Cab. I specially ordered my truck and waited a little over a month for delivery. On the day of delivery, I did a general inspection to make sure the truck had 4 tires and that the gauge display had worked. I followed my wife back home and then parked the truck in my driveway by itself. We went in for a few hours came back out as I helped her into the passenger side of the truck. I noticed that on the b-pillar next to the door latch the truck had a dime size paint chip missing down to the bare metal. I phoned the dealer and was told theyll take care of it. I had my wife take it in. My wife noticed that at the same time the plates were wrong, commercial instead of passenger. So they said they would fix that. The dealer tried to pass off touch up paint, a big glob in fact as a quality fix on a 2012 Brand new truck! I was obviously annoyed with this. I complained, they said theyll send it out to the body shop. This got me concerned to look over the whole vehicle in depth. I checked everywhere. I found multiple scratches in the door jams both on pillars and on the doors themselves all were down to the bare metal! I also found a dent on the driver’s side door that had to come from the factory, seeing how it was at a 45 degree angle an inch behind the handle and had no scratch to it or no paint from another vehicle. The dealership made excuses, but their service guy even stated, hey it was definitely a factory caused blemish. I was told they would take care of it all. I questioned a loner car for the time it was being fixed. I had taken the time to mark with frog tape all the issues and write out a list explaining them and how I didnt want any bond/body filler used and no touch up paint on the vehicle. When my wife went to drop the truck off and hand the service guy the paper I printed up for them, he tells my wife, Oh, this list gets longer and longer. They gave my wife 2000 Dodge Neon that stunk like b.o. and ran with no child seat restraint hooks in the rear. I have a newborn that had to be placed in there. Needless to say, I was perturbed. I called Chrysler and made an official complaint. They had my truck for almost a full week and they didnt bother to give as much as an update call. I had to call both Chrysler and the dealership to find out what was going on. I felt skeptical about my trucks repairs and asked to know what body shop they had it sent to. I was told and attempted to get the technical info on how it was fixed directly from the body shop. They gave me the run around and told me speak to the people at riverhead dodge. I thought it strange like a cover up since its my truck and the people who worked on it had brushed me off to speak to the dealership. I inform Chrysler and they tell me theyll be contacting Riverhead Dodge and get back to me with exactly how my truck was repaired. I said okay. I had to call Chrysler back to get the info from them. I was told some spots were touched up. I was not happy. I then got a call from Riverhead Dodge service dept. stating my truck was all ready for pick up. Due to my work hours and service dept hour’s confliction, I had to go over my truck with a salesman who could care less and was insisting I be happy with what was done. I was not, they had used touch up paint on one of the spots, didnt bother to finish wet sanding another and left a paint run on one. I was furious! I left the truck with a brief note to the service manager explaining why I felt it was not done. I called Chrysler, asked for a manager even though I was told that a manager was to be contacting me in regards to my case. I again had to contact them. I was told and I quote! Since the dealership is satisfied with the repairs made to the vehicle, we here at Chrysler are satisfied with the repairs made to the vehicle. Wow! Some customer service, huh. I thought it was the customer whom they had to satisfy. Guess not. That’s where my complaints have been since. I then during the very next week after, noticed when cleaning my trucks interior that the plastic on the center console passenger side kick panel that it was the bark brown in one spot and all the rest was the tan. I phoned another dealership, made an appointment with their service dept. They made note ordered the right color piece and replaced it without issue. So my main complaint is with Riverhead Dodge and Chrysler itself. If they end up with requiring another bail out, the government had best not assist them again and let them go under. I think a lesson in humility is exactly what they need so that whoever buys the company next can make some changes, both in the quality of the product and the quality of the customer service.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500, which I purchased in November 2010. I purchased it because my 2009 had a gasoline leak, which my mechanic found. When I took it in, I also took it in for AC/HACV recall. They refused to allow me to leave with my truck. They said it was too dangerous, and they had no loaner. Now I own a 2006 Dodge Diesel, and this 2010, plus I have had nothing but Dodge products for the past 14 years. So when they refused my request, I asked them what I was supposed to do to get home and that my job required that I am on call as the Crisis Center Director 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and my husband is the EMS Director for Atascosa County and he is also on call 24/7. Neither of us could be without a vehicle. Also note I was 32 miles from home. When nothing else could be done, I was told I could trade my 2009 for a 2010. So I did, because I needed a vehicle immediately. I lost the lifetime warranty on the 2009 Dodge. By the way, I am also a senior citizen aged 65. When I took the 2010 in for the recall last week, I asked about the plastic discoloration on my truck handles. The truck is a beautiful red, pretty and shiny; but the handles make it look bad. I have not damaged them in any way. I was told thats just how it was and they could do nothing. I want you to know that the quality of this trucks plastic is horrible both inside and out. When I trade again, should I have to, Im sure they will lower the trade-in price because of the handles and plastic; and that is not my fault. I believe you care about what people think, so Ive taken the time to write and inform you of this issue.I have always used this dealership and salesman for years, but Im very disappointed in your product. Too bad, you dont care enough to make sure your dealerships show the same respect to people.

Ive owned 5 Dodge Ram... 3 3500 hundred. And 2 1500 hundreds - the first one went through brake shoes every 7000 miles... Dodge would never admit there was a problem. My current Dodge Ram 3500 is a 2013 Laramie. I had 7 recalls on it. The last recall they dont even have a part for. I drive 80 miles round trip to have this taken care of. Thats money out of my pocket for their screw up... I will never buy another one.

I had a great experience when I owned my Dodge Ram. The truck was very nice as far as inward and outward appearances, and it was sporty enough for a casual day, for a baseball cap and jeans, and classy enough for a Sunday afternoon tie and shirt day. The gas mileage was much better than I thought and the ride was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of leg space and the engine was as quiet as a mouse. If I ever get to the point when I can afford to purchase another Ram, I would do it in a heartbeat, with no hesitation.

Bought an 05 Ram 1500 Daytona new in 05. Spent months in shop trying to fix pulling issues and loud pop in front suspension after being just weeks old. Final fixed. Now in 2015 I have had 4 sets of sway bar end links installed, new ball joints, control arm parts, tie rod ends, etc. THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 47,000 miles, the entire front suspension was shot at 38,000 miles. This is a 2-wheel drive, never wrecked, well-cared for California truck. Dodge claims no recalls of problem on this model or year. Dodge seems to play dumb on issues that have been present since purchase. Now for the 2015 (wife insisted on another Dodge) this is a very expensive fully loaded 4x4. All the bells and whistles (her truck) bought on a Friday. On Sunday noticed a 3x1 section of paint on door edge peeling. Returned to dealer and was told I had damaged the paint. Spent months working with Dodge corp. trying to get fixed. Finally after being told they would not fix because they deemed it damage not defect I ended up paying $1,100 to have repaired at an auto body shop who took pics, wrote statement that its a defect, sent all to Dodge and was denied again. DODGE WARRANTY IS A JOKE. We will never buy a Chrysler product again.
