I bought the Acura 3.5. It drove well, never had any problems. I gave the car to my daughter and shes still driving it 100000 mi later. The tires are great and interior is beautiful. It has a nice easy functions. Its a four-door 3.5 TL with brown interior and is fabulous looking. The car has a hands-free dialing, moonroof that’s just beautiful at night, cassette deck, CD player and great sound system that just blast on my latest tunes. Nice and roomy for door on the truck app for the size of the car is absolutely big as a tire that goes underneath that fits in that room better replacement for any flat tires that you might get. Great car. I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased a 2015 Acura TLX Oct 2015. Day 1 of picking up the car it had a rattling noise in the speaker. I reported it to John Eagle where I purchased it and brought it back for service. Since then I have brought the car back 7 times to the dealership and they have not been able to fix. They will not replace the speakers or anything in the sound system. I have the car volume on a level of 3 and it still make that noise. If I turn the volume up higher you can hear the knocking noise from outside the car. The dealership finally had an Acura District Manager come out on 7/8/15 and know they are saying that they cannot fix the problem and there is no fix for the problem. They kept saying it is indicative of the type of car. The guy I am working at Acura corporate said he will get back to me which means I have to call him 3 or more time to get a response. The dealership admits that there is an engineering problem with the TLX but there is no resolution for it. If anyone has any advice or how to remedy the issue please let me know. Very frustrated that I worked very hard to get a luxury car and realize that I got better service when I had Ford, Subaru and a Honda. This my seventh leased vehicle, 4 Hondas leased and they are going to lose a customer that has had great history. So upset with the situation.

2016 Acura tlx transmission jerking. I got this car on May 2019. Certified 2016 Acura tlx. Since 2 trip to dealer. First they say they did a software update and still not good. Still jerk. Now second trip to dealer well got foreman from Acura on a test drive with me. He feel it and in one jerk after one stop sign it was violent so left it in the dealer. After a week they call me and say we went for a drive with case manager and computer plug and everything fine and not able to duplicate plus no code this transmission in. This cars are crap piece of **. Stay away from Acura up to this is resolve. Buy a Lexus.Anyway now I send a email and tell them I will contact a lawyer because I only have this car for 4 months and this hesitation is awful. Acura relation call me saying the case manager is out of office and he will be calling in a day or so. This is a week later no call so lawyer up as soon I can set with my attorney then will see if is a problem with the transmission or not. I’m done. I will let my lawyer to deal with them. Car is not safe with jerking and hesitation no matter what the ** they say. Honda of America need to fix this problem. Big mistake buying this car.

Love my Acura RDX. Acura has great customer service and I have not had any issues with it since I bought it. Its reliable and stylish with features I love. I will definitely be buying another Acura when I decide to buy another vehicle. I love the backup camera. The technology package is amazing. I like having a built in gps. I like the driver one and driver two settings so the car is always set for my favorites when it recognizes my key. The gas mileage could be a little better though.

Purchased a 2007 TL, brand new in Virginia. The military moved me to Alaska where the navigation system does not function because there is no disc that covers Alaska. The car does not know where it is and as a result, many functions that I paid for do not function. You cant set the clock, etc. I have contacted the dealer in VA, the dealer in Anchorage, as well as Acura customer service. They refuse to do anything. The database does exist. I am furious.

I have a 2014 Acura MDX that I bought brand new in February 2014. Test drive was fine but after about 1,000 miles I began to notice a grinding sounds coming from the front of the vehicle that sounds tied into the transmission as the grinding changes as it shifts through the gears. I called customer service 6 times leaving messages for a rep to call. When I do get a call back I am told they will have a manager contact me which never happens. How many times should a customer call before an issue can be resolved?

We purchased a beautiful 2020 Acura MDX ASPEC back in Oct of 2020. We did not negotiate pricing as we believed it was at the right price point based on the competitors. Unfortunately, the windshield has a wave on the passenger side which I have never seen on a windshield. The dealership was very good and replaced the original one that came with the vehicle and it was worse then the original one. The dealership ordered another replacement one and called me in to review it before they would book it in for replacement and again this one was worse then the original one and the one they replaced. I was working with Honda / Acura of Canada Client relations and their Customer Mediation Specialist told me that they Acura Canada would not be replacing the windshield our 2020 Acura MDX as the concern in not consistent with a defect in Manufacturing.

I own a 2015 Acura MDX that is the months old and it has less than 4000 miles. I was driving down the highway early morning when suddenly I heard a loud boom (sounded like a shotgun). I looked around to see if someone had a flat tire but there were no other cars in sight. All of a sudden I heard loud wind noise and felt pieces of glass all over me. I even suffered some scratches on my hand and on my head. Thats when I realized that my sunroof had exploded. There were no other vehicles in sight that could have caused the damage plus the moonroof had exploded upwards. I have contacted several dealers, also called Acura customer relations but no luck. Ive find some research to find out that Acuras have had this issue on most of their vehicles. Acura doesnt want to assume any liability and wont pay for the repairs.

Just leased a 2019 Acura MDX Sport hybrid Technology. I am in love with it. The Active Damper suspension works amazing. Had a 2018 RDX Advance and the ride was not smooth at all. This MDX Hybrid just rides wonderful. I am getting 26MPG regularly, and I am not a light footed driver. While the infotainment is outdated - it sounds like it works better than the new system in the RDX. There needs to be LESS road noise Acura, and the interior dash and other surfaces need to be more luxurious, but overall this SUV is GREAT.

I am amazed at the level of service concerning issues with our 2015 TLX 4 cyl. transmission. This is not to be confused with the 6 cyl. recall. We have 3000 miles on the car. The downshift at times BANGS into gear. The up shift from standstill also BANGS into gear, feeling like you are going to hit the person in front of you. Of most concern is that - 3 times from a standstill - once you start, the car completely stops moving (almost like you threw it in neutral) then kicks in. This happened in the middle of an intersection. Very dangerous. Problem is it only happened three times in 3 months. The dealer says if they cant replicate, nothing they can do. In fact tells me I need to get used to a different type of transmission with the dual clutch transmission. I said my expectation is that when I push on the gas pedal, the car goes. Am I supposed to get used to it not going? This is a dangerous situation. When googled, I see numerous similar complaints. Again, Acura says car runs fine. I am appalled by the expectation that this is just the way this is. Glad I only leased and wont be stuck with this car after. Reaching out to an attorney to see my options.

Acura offers a sufficient variety of models to suit every lifestyle (sedan, SUV, sport model, etc.). When I owned an Acura, I had the Vigor sedan model, which I absolutely loved. Their models are classically designed, and an old Acura looks just as contemporary as a new one. What I particularly appreciate is the fact that blind spots are minimized, reducing the need to stretch and crane your neck before changing lanes. Also, their upgrade and personalization options are comparable to those offered by other manufacturers of upscale automobiles. For example, on-board GPS, air conditioning, hands-off mobile phone, etc. The passenger capacity depends on the style and/or model of car selected. My Vigor sedan had standard seating capacity for two passengers in the front and three in the back.

Bought the Acura RL used with @30K miles. Had some factory warranty remaining plus I bought an extended warranty from Acura dealer and had car serviced regularly at that dealership. At @50K miles, the car developed a malodorous odor of burning oil, especially strong when parked in enclosed garage after having been driven. I suspected an oil leak dripping onto hot exhaust component and complained to dealership on each of three or four service visits while warranty was in effect. Dealership claimed they could not smell the odor or find any leak. On the next service visit AFTER the warranty expired, I complained again and dealership said the engines rear main oil seal was dripping onto exhaust causing odor and wanted @$1000 to fix it. Appealed all the way to Honda headquarters but was not able to get Honda to fix the problem which had been present and had been reported during warranty period. Leak has now reached the point to where it puddles on garage floor. In addition, on the same visit, dealership said front shocks were bad. Additionally, had five repeat problems with SRS system, and the fuel pump relay failed and stranded me at the grocery store with a car load of groceries. The car looks good and drives good, but it is unreliable, prone to breakdown and definitely not worth its cost.

I will keep this short. We have owned 6 different Hondas and Acuras and this will be our last! We bought this 2019 RDX in October 2018 and the brakes have been squeaking loud since day 2. We have taken it into two different Acura service centers to get it fixed three different times since Dec 2018 and we hear the same thing every time “it is a known issue that Acura engineering is working.” How long does it take to fix this without a recall? Where is the buyback for this annoying and unsafe condition? nowhere to be found.A call to Acura customer service gets you the same place. After waiting two weeks for my case manager to really look into the issue, I was told to take the car back to the same service center so someone can look at it? I thought it was a known issue? I thought it was with Acura engineering? Oh wait, it is. The service center will change out the brakes and rotors but that does not fix the issue just wastes time and effort. Until Acura figures out how to treat customers right and work real issues with criticality, do them a favor and treat them like the brand they are...buy a Kia. At least it will be cheaper and still squeak.

I left my Canadian 2001 Acura 3.2TL at AutoWest Acura of Stevens Creek for a recall check up on the automatic transmission overheating problem on 1/30/2012. I communicated with Sarah from Canada Acura client services and she said that AutoWest Acura of Stevens Creek just needs to give her a call and shell provide the procedures necessary to perform the recall. Jaime from AutoWest Stevens Creek, on the other hand, left me a voicemail yesterday at 6:42 pm saying that his service manager needs to do more research on my car before working on it and that the last Canadian car that was brought in about a year ago sat there for 3-4 months, almost 5 months, and he implied that I might not want to wait that long to get the required service from them.Quoting their recall letter, What is the problem? Certain operating conditions can result in heat build-up in the transmission second gear set on certain 2000-2003 vehicles. This could result in gear tooth chipping or, in very rare cases, gear breakage. Gear failure could result in transmission lock-up and a crash could occur without warning. In most cases, abnormal transmission noise will indicate a problem.I refuse to accept the fact that they are showing absolutely no urgency in having this defect remedied. It is ridiculously that a dealership who sells Acura cars could not locate the necessary documents to prove that this recall exists. I literally had to make all the calls and walk the service advisor through their own company website as if it was their first time seeing recalls. Even then, Jaime insisted that the recall letter on Acuras website was not enough information.Who dares buy an Acura now?

I had the experience of buying two cars from Paragon. The prices were good and the service when Kevin was there was great. I recently had a problem with another car of which I called Acura client relation and treated so bad by Katrina. Acura instead of moving forward had moved backed. Katrina was very rude and UN-professional. She stated that since I did not buy the Acura she would have not spoken to me, but when the owner was on the same call with all of us she stated she still will not speak to me. I remembered when a family members buys a car, it doesnt matter who calls. We as customers should be treated with respect just as how they would like to be treated. Acura has declined both with service and their cars. Katrina assumes she does favor for Acura customers but in reality if Acura customer never bought cars there will be no purpose for Katrina having a job. Treat customers with respect and yes, Katrina your call is monitored, but just to let you know you are the one that was very rude and UN-professional. It’s a shame that you carry the Acura name.

I have a 2018 Acura RDX and its gas range display sucks. On an instance, I start from my office and it shows, I have gas range of 100 miles and after driving for less than 2 miles it shows gas left for 70 miles left. How come in driving for 2 miles I consumed gas worth of 30 miles? After driving on highway for few miles it moves up to 80 miles. How come after driving extra 5 miles I added more gas in my car? I understand it varies based on driving but how would I actually know how much gas I have in my car. It is extremely confusing and I think erroneous. Not sure how such system is considered as a better user experience by the Acura engineers. I think Acura should do a recall and fix this system for all Acura RDX owners.

All the cars and SUVs are coming out with standard features you would expect in a luxury car. Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, all come with all the latest protection lane control, Cruise adjust, heated steering wheel and seats, and these are for their models across the board. You would expect Acura being a luxury brand would have all these things standard in all their models. The Acura should have all the top end. Hondas have that are standard but no everything is an upgrade, Acura is becoming a dinosaur. They should be bringing out an advanced electric with everything standard at a reasonable price to capture the market. Probably my last Acura.

I bought the Acura MDX 2007 1/1/2014. The car had this battery issue that caused it to died. In the span of 5 months, four of the car battery died. Each time we replaced it with a new battery. After the fourth time we brought it up to the dealer because we have a warranty. The dealership claimed that replacing the HFL unit and the the battery cable which would total around $670. We only have drove it for around 4,000 miles and this was outrageous. The dealership would refuse to accept that the warranty would cover this. The warranty claims that this isnt cover and the dealer said that the warranty refused to pay the $670 required to fix this. After calling the warranty company for hours, they refused to fix this. After reading online for a while I notice that Im not the only one with this issue, its a common occurrence for other acura owners. A note to buyers, check your warranty! Make sure to check what they cover and what they dont. We paid around $2,400 for the warranty for 3 years and this hasnt even been a year and were having this issue. The warranty company is MPP (mechanical protection plan). Make sure youre checking what you get before you buy it! We basically spent $2,400 for nothing. Another annoying thing was when we sent the car in for repair, the dealership didnt offer us a replacement car to help us travel around while its being repair. They also didnt bother calling us back. I had to call them and ask whats going on. If you have had similar car issue and resolved this Im in need of help. Please message me!

I purchased 2018 Nissan Pathfinder (VIN Ending with XXXXXX) from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Oct, 19, 2020. My Sales Rep was Luis. This vehicle had 62,009 miles when I purchased it and I was told on the day of purchase (Oct 19, 2020) that vehicle will have 1K Miles/30 days (whichever comes first) dealer warranty. On top of that I purchased Easy Care extended warranty. Everything was signed on Oct 19 and I took the vehicle home. After a few days, vehicle’s engine started making noises and it would release white smoke from exhaust. Assuming vehicle was covered under dealer warranty (1K miles/30 days), I brought it back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. On Nov 2, 2020 Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ technician looked at the vehicle and after diagnostic and test drive said it seems ok so drive it as is and if problem persists, bring it back. Obviously, problem did persist and I had to bring the vehicle back on Nov 18, 2020 to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they gave me a loaner to look bit deeper into the issue. Next day, Service dept manager Steve called me and said, I need to take the car to Nissan because they can diagnose it better plus since I have the extended warranty, it should be all covered. I didn’t agree given the fact dealer warranty was still good (1K/30 days) but they insisted they are an Acura dealership and they cannot diagnose Nissan vehicle. I took the vehicle from there to Nissan Dealership in Keyport, NJ. Once they looked at the vehicle and vehicle’s old records, they told me this vehicle was brought to 4 different dealerships for service since it had engine issue. They suggested I go back to the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ and they should get it fixed since you are still under (1K/30 days) warranty. I came back to Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ again before Thanksgiving holidays and let them know what Nissan Service dept was telling me and Used Car Sales Manager “Freddy” came out to help me. After discussing for over an hour with other managers in the back area, he came back and shown me a car fax and basically said “you see when a car is brought to me, we run a car fax but if there is nothing in the car fax report about the engine issue. We can’t do much about it because we don’t know about it”. Really? Well, what exactly is the dealer warranty for then? Anyhow, “Freddy” told us what he can do is, he can take the car back and let me pick something else. Basically a “trade” which of course comes with its own complications. After Thanksgiving, I was notified by Nissan Service Dept at Keyport, NJ that my Extended Warranty adjuster denied the claim because car had this issue before I purchased it from Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ. I, once again stopped by at the Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ on Nov 30, 2020. I met with Use Car Sales Manager “Freddy” again and after spending more than 2 hours he looked through few vehicles that could possibly work with my budget. He found 2017 RDX but when we presented the numbers they were high. I asked “Freddy” I know trade is not worth for me but how come Ryan’s Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ is not taking responsibility that I was dealt a bad hand and they should simply get the vehicle fixed as per the contract. I didn’t get any response to that and instead I was getting lame excuses like I was “cursing”. Fact is, he didn’t want to deal with the issue, he didn’t want to acknowledge vehicle that was not certified/was sold and now it’s my headache to deal with it. I am writing this let you all know what goes on when you purchase a used vehicle and how these dealers can treat you. Be warned.

This car has a great design on the steering wheel as well as fast working brakes which lead to a safe drive and this makes me feel safer at night or plain daylight. The upgrade is as amazing as rescuing a cow from a trapped low quality fence. It is always an amazing thing to look forward towards when it comes to cars. We have owned many vehicles and we decided to give Acura a try mainly because we liked the body style and Hondas reliability. Worst mistake we have made in a long time let alone a very costly one! The car performs alright but the $5000.00 upgrade for the technology package is a sad story. The dealership along with tech experts there can barely explain its functions. Been there several times after reading the limited information in the manual and each time it takes three of these geniuses to solve one issue. They say to play with it but if trained personnel from HONDA CANT do it how is the consumer supposed to? Very unfriendly compared to other makers. Dont make our same mistake.

You would think an auto maker, who endangered the well being of my 2 year old daughter, would be quick to correct the problem of a defect on one of their cars. I took my daughter to the park on a hot day. When we were about to leave, I unlocked all the car doors as usual by placing my hand through the door handle. I opened the back door, placed the bag with my keys on the floor, buckled my daughter in her car seat, closed the door, and went to open the drivers door. All the doors were mysteriously locked. All the doors were unlocked, how could they just lock themselves? Also, with the 2013 Acura RDX, you cannot lock the door with the key fob in the car. I of course began to panic and a maintenance man broke the small window on the side so I could get my daughter out. Upset, I drove to Center Acura even though it was late in the day. They told me it was too late to check my car, but could look at it next Saturday. I asked how this could have happened and nobody knew. It was almost like nobody believed me. This is a pretty serious defect and I at least thought they could help me out with the cost of the window. Nope, I received a quote for $708 ($228 for the window and $480 for the labor). I then called later to ask if they charge to diagnose the problem. It was $160 just to look at it. Called the Corporation and they basically said it was up to the dealer. I cannot worry about the safety of my children so I am looking elsewhere for a car. BTW, that same window will be fixed for $270.

The brakes in my brand new RDX have been squeaking since about a month into owning the car. It started happening when the weather got cold. The dealer replaced the rotors and brake pads but the noise is still there. Now Im told by the dealer and Acura Corporate that theres nothing they can do. What? How can that be? This is a $50,000 car and it sounds like a NYC Bus or an old beat up car. Its embarrassing. Apparently this has been an issue for a couple of years and had I known it I would NEVER have bought this car. How do you tell people who spend so much money that you cant fix squeaky brakes! Shame on Acura.

I’ve purchased a used 2005 Acura TL with 69K miles on it. At 96K miles the transmission blew out, it was a $4000 bill to rebuild the transmission. My AC compressor had to be changed. The tension pulley had to be changed. The battery dies if the car is not turned on daily or in cold winter months (I live in Houston, we don’t have severe weather). It has a new battery and the alternator is just fine, we never could establish what the battery issues were. The car will lock you out since it automatically locks, the mirrors shift while driving. The dashboard has cracks. I happily sold the car to a junkyard for $500, I just couldn’t wait to get rid of it. I maintain my cars regularly and only put less than 20 miles a day on it. I didn’t expect all these issues with less than 100k miles on it. Never getting an Acura again.

The ILX is a nice small car with good electronic features. The TL, TLX and many other Acura models have very nice exterior and interior designs and it isnt too small or too big and has nice seats that arent easily damaged. The cars work very well and have great helping technology. The upgrade options are very good just a little pricey, the upgrade includes extra things for the car to make it look and perform better which adds onto an already great car. Acuras are very good for family, you can fit 5 people in it which is a good size, there is enough space to take little road trips.

I have a 2010 Acura TL, 6 weeks ago while making a turn the driver side CV Axle cracked and broke disabling the car. I had it towed, $150 30 miles to my mechanic. It took 4 weeks to find a replacement CV Axle. Dealers couldnt get them. Apparently there were only 500 of these Axle setups made for this model - there were 12 available in the entire USA. I was lucky to get one I am told. Now just a week later, my passenger side did the same thing. CV Axle broke. These cars are garbage!!! I am told it could be as long as 8 months, by the dealer mind you, to locate and get a part from Honda!! I am out of a car. Piece of garbage!!! Its definitely an eye catcher! It is mid size but has plenty of room! Its interior is cozy yet roomy! It has a navigation system if recommended and the style is superb! On the Acura TL you can add a rear spoiler which gives it more of a sporty look. Also you can add a navigation system with satellite radio available along with roadside help availability! The plastic door handles have broken causing for the whole door rest to be required to be replaced just to fix the handles. The cd radio hasnt worked since 2006. Acura has SUVs, sedans and different varieties of them and they are pretty well laid out. Pound for pound it is one of the best luxury values in the market hands down, and I am overall very satisfied with my purchase. There are a lot of personalization options for the average buyer but the price points are the main issues. Since it is luxury the options are priced accordingly and if you are on a budget, can break or exceed it. The car has a gorgeous interior and is a pretty car. It is very modern with a lot of technological innovation. You have options for leather or less luxurious interiors but it is all well done and nice. The car is generally pretty roomy and comfortable. It is not a bed or your favorite chair but as far as driving from place to place it is a good seat, and certainly more comfortable than lower end brands and things like airplane seats.

I was driving on the freeway at about 60 MPH, keeping up with morning traffic on US101N, when my ACURA MDX 2011 suddenly stalled. I was pressing my foot on the accelerator but it would not go faster; in fact, it started slowing down. I was able to coast off to an exit, luckily, and then the car completely stalled, and would not start back up again. The dealership, Acura of Marin happened to be right there, and I had bought the car from them, Certified used, just 5 months prior. Although the service department was really great, and my car was under warranty, I sold the car back to them at a loss. Turned out it was a faulty/defective fuel pump. They called it bad; I call it defective. I was lucky that neither my children and I who were in the car, nor anyone else got hurt at the time of incident. No warning lights ever came on. Would not buy another Acura again.

We had leased our Acura MDX through a local Acura dealer. The experience was fair. The showroom tries to portray the brand as a true luxury car, but most salesmen seems fast-paced, with the typical gimmicky talk and cheap suits. The Service was even worse. Anytime the car would require scheduled maintenance, they always tried to upsell us on things like Automatic Transmission fluid change, stating it was very dirty (after only 8,000 miles?), despite the fact that the maintenance schedule doesnt require this fluid change until 20,000-40,000 miles. Filter changes are also their favorite, stating that theyre very dirty and its bad for the vehicle.I never got the impression that the Acura brand is synonymous with luxury, unfortunately. Just a dressed-up Honda, and this trickles down all the way to how they sell and service these vehicles. The car itself has a few, very annoying issues. For one, the front windows are extremely loose, and when opened even slightly, rattle beyond belief. Acura Service techs state this is how theyre designed, and that its normal. It pretty much renders driving around with windows lowered impossible, and from the sound of it, Acura owners have gotten used to it. After almost 3 years, were still struggling with getting used to it.The infotainment is brutally slow. If you click on Settings or any other option, it often takes 2-3 seconds for the screen to refresh and show the desired information. Having rented a BMW X5, or even a Volkswagen Touareg, the computing power of their infotainment systems is much more up-to-date and intuitive. The interface design on the infotainment touchscreen buttons is also very primitive. Like something youd find a first-grade graphic design student do. Certainly not the luxury experience theyre selling.Overall, the exterior is neat, slim, with touches of chrome here and there. The interior is also nicely done. I am surprised as to why the third-row seats do not have A/C vents (like the Honda Pilot, which sells for considerably less does). The power liftgate has failed us more than once, and the remote engine starter oftentimes just stops working, requiring me to manually disconnect the battery to reset everything. Ive given-up taking the car to the dealer for every little nuance. Driving-wise, the car is light and responds well to steering input. Power is adequate, and AWD system performs remarkably well. Despite all of this, we wont be leasing another Acura again. We feel that too many corners have been cut, and not enough attention to detail has been paid to areas that really need it to qualify this vehicle as a luxury one.

Its pretty sad when you shell out your hard earned money for a product that you had such good faith in, and it falls apart literally in front of you. I was brushed off with them saying that it was cosmetic and not a safety factor.People refuse to drive with me as passengers for fear that the air bag will deploy when we go over a large bump, or if we get into a minor fender bender. This is scary stuff! I dont understand why the government is permitting them to get away with this and not forcing a recall. This causes the starter to malfunction more than other cars whose starter was not made in the same location. 2. A coil in the engine needed to be replaced. Other than that, I have had no other issues that were not issues related to normal wear and tear. I drive 100+ miles a day for work. This has been a very trusty car. I have been battling with Acura Customer Service for 2 months over a common problem Acura is ignoring: Bluetooth systems draining the car battery. I spent over two years having my battery regularly recharged or replaced, with the Acura dealer unable to diagnose the problem. I could not let my car sit more than one day without starting or the battery would be dead. I took it in several times and once paid to have a relay switch replaced, which did not solve the problem.I had lost use of my Bluetooth, but never connected the two, even though every time the battery was recharged the Bluetooth would miraculously work again for about 30 minutes... When I finally Googled 2007 Acura electrical problem I discovered lots of people have had this problem. Some had replaced their Bluetooth system and the problem recurred.Based on what I learned, had my Bluetooth disconnected. I contacted Acura Customer Service to complain about having to pay $100 to disconnect a system that has not worked for two years. Long story short, and after providing full documentation of my last two years of dealer, mechanic and AAA auto service, I was told that because Acura did not diagnose the Bluetooth system as the problem they could not help me. Ironic, eh? This problem has been occurring for years and by not diagnosing it they were not responsible for it. I must add I found Michael, the Customer Service person I spoke with, to be condescending and disrespectful (phone number 800-382-2238, extension **). Needless to say, my next car will not be an Acura.

I am current/original first owner of 2005 Acura TL. My car has dashboard cracked and airbag sign showed on screen. And Ive researched on web and found this is common issue/problem that many TL owners are experiencing. I recently went to Acura dealership for trade in my 05 TL for 2017 MDX and my vehicle appraised was $0.00. They said they couldnt buy it from me with dashboard cracked and sell it in their dealer. FYI my TL has about 148,000 miles and has good condition.I cannot believe Acura knows theres a problem with dashboard cracked on almost every TL they manufactured and not taking any action. What if theres airbag issue and not function it properly because of cracked dashboard? Is airbag going to function well? This is safety issue and Acura should make recall to check who has dashboard cracked. I dont think I am never going back to Acura again after experiencing this kind of bad service.

Dealership totaled my car while in for repair and tried to hide it, they tried to pay me off not to leave reviews. 9/5/17 I received a call from the service department saying my car was involved in an incident at the shop that they had found that morning. I was told that they were unsure the extent of the damage at that time. I sent my mom down to get important papers out of my glove box as I was unable to get there. When she arrived, she found someone still working on the car and she opened the glove box to it full of water rushing out like a fish tank being dumped over. The next day I went down to the dealership to see my car myself and speak to management. We met with George who promised to bend over backwards to help me.I was continually pushed aside and treated like I was a nuisance. Once their insurance finally claimed it a total loss (over a week later) I then was left to do all the work, I had to fight for 104 days to get my car paid off. This was daily calls and emails and hundreds of hours of work. When it came time to get me into a new vehicle I was shuttled back and forth between salesmen (who were all friendly but couldnt help) and the 2012 that was comparable to my MDX was sold before I could get there to see it the next morning. I was hopeful theyd cut me a great deal on a replacement vehicle for all Id been through but alas all I got was a lousy $1000 off the price (something anyone could haggle down) and still paid over blue book, and 15% off floor mats and I had to pay for moldings to be put on to cover all the scratches on the passenger side. To get the $1000 off I had to fight for $250 of it and was told by Gene **, Fine if its a fight over $250 Ill do it just to get you done and out of here. He was incredibly rude to me and honestly I shouldnt have proceeded with the purchase of the new car especially since the only viable option was a 2015 MDX that now costs me an extra $150 per month and I had to start payments all over again.Once my car was paid I reached out to the dealership to try to work out some compensation for my time and losses like new tags, paying double insurance while I fought to get my car paid off, and interest accrued during that time. I sent a certified letter to George, and Gene called me in return, I asked to hear from George who refused to contact me and I never heard from again. I then put a complaint in with the BBB because I was receiving no response. George blank told the BBB they bent over backwards to help me and there was nothing more they could do.I then contacted Acura corporate directly (who were wonderful by the way) and they couldnt believe how I had been treated and they tried to help me. They arranged a call with the dealership which was between me, Acura and Gene. Gene again was not very friendly in his tone and took no responsibility for what had happened. His apology is, We are sorry this happened, and that WEVE had to deal with this. He finally offered me some compensation for my loses. $1000 with the stipulation that I leave no negative reviews and do not discuss the dealership negatively. And 3 years free oil changes (no way would I bring my car back to them).I refused his offer because I believe people need to know that while I was fighting the insurance I found out from their own tech and from their incident report I had to collect, MY CAR WAS ACTUALLY TOTALED 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THEM CONTACTING ME AND THEY TRIED TO HIDE IT!! Ive collected thorough documentation on all the events that occurred, and it is now my mission to warn people about this dealerships poor business practices. There are good people that work there that if they could have would have helped me more; these people are Bob **, Chris ** and Matt in sales.

Approximately 3 or 4 months after replacing the battery at the dealer the car shut down completely at an intersection with no power on to anything not even the emergency flashers. I was forced to call the police and a tow truck to get me to the dealer $400 later the dealer informed me that the replacement battery had failed. Of course they replaced the battery at no charge but no compensation for the cost of the tow or my time (I was on my way to a client). We bought a certified pre-owned 2019 MDX hyrbid in June 2021, and it is a lemon. Weve had four breakdowns in less than 2,000 miles worth of driving time, all involving components of the car that should not break down in a vehicle that has less than 30,000 miles on it. The car has been in the shop over 40% of the time weve owned it, and we cannot use it for the thing we bought it for - long family road trips - because it breaks down once every couple of weeks. On top of that, Acuras customer service has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. They do not respond to any written communications and make it as difficult as possible to try to resolve your issue. We still have not been compensated for the substantial out of pocket expenses we suffered from the first breakdown in July, which was a life-threatening incident that stranded my family away from home for a day.I bought this car because Acura supposedly has a reputation for great cars and great service. This experience has exposed both of those ideas as lies. Stay far, far away.

I think the number of choices was desirable and I had a good experience choosing my car. Also, the number of seats is adequate, not too small and not too large. And there is also enough trunk space. I can fit most of the stuff I need to in there.

Hoping someone might have some insight on this... I bought a TLX October 2015 and babied it. A few weeks ago my husband asked me what I hit, because he noticed spidering of the paint to the front bumper. I know that I didnt hit anything, but I figured sure, theres a chance someone hit my car. But the more I looked at it, it appears that theres a bubble in the paint, and then the spidering is stemming from that. The bizarre part is that the clear coat is flawless; not an imperfection or scratch. Wouldnt one think if something hit it enough to cause a bubble and spidering, then the clear coat (which took the impact) would be affected? I took it to the Bedford Acura where I purchased it. The mechanic looked at it and said it was probably from impact, its $275 to repaint that half of the bumper. The manager then looked at it and said I agree with you (myself), thats odd, if there was impact there should be damage to the clear coat. He took a picture and sent it to the regional sales rep and today I received a phone call back that they believe its from stress impact and its not covered in warranty. I know Im not paint or car specialist, but Im truly having a hard time accepting this, so hoped others might have insight... but Im very unhappy with the mixed opinions Ive had, and the instant rejection by the company. I will certainly be pursuing this further! Not sure if this factors in (I mentioned it at my most recent visit but they said it was totally unrelated), but December 2016 I came out to my car and noticed a silver plastic accent piece on that same side had just popped out from the bumper; the clips holding it in place were broken. Again, there was no surrounding damage, and no damage to the piece itself other than the inner clips having broken off. I took it in and they replaced that piece. Im now starting to wonder if theres something wrong with the whole bumper itself and thats whats causing all of these non-impact problems! And Im rather address it before it is out of warranty. Ugh.

I am very happy with the variety of cars Acura had to offer. Lots of good choice and models to suit my buying needs. I would definitely buy another car from them in the future. You can choose the color of the paint on the exterior as well as the color of the leather that resides on the inside of the vehicle. Supremely awesome!!! They have heating, power steering, anti-lock brakes, Sirius CM, good windshield wipers, heated seats, stick shift or manual transmission. I can also fit my Wifey in the passenger seat and my 13 year old in the 2nd row as well as my 10 year old in the /he row as well as a whole bunch of luggage in the trunk.

I am writing this review to improve this service. It appears that only the people who have had trouble with their Acura vehicles have left reviews. Think of how many people own an Acura. Hello people. This is only a handful of owners. I am sure there are just as many complaint with any other manufacturer. Here is a better idea. Lease your vehicle before you buy it. If you dont like it, and you bought the malfunction/replacement protection plan, you arent out anything. It sounds like most of these people are just ignorant, and like to cry about something they were too cheap to buy. You people bought a luxury vehicle. Buy the protection plan. It isnt that expensive. If you bought the vehicle, buy the protection for it. You obviously have the money. I just got my first Acura, and I feel you are just trying to scare potential buyers, because you had problems. I love my car. It is the best car I have ever owned. Its comfortable, stylish, has plenty of space, a V-tech engine, heated seats, GPS navigation, all leather interior, power everything, moon roof, and it handles like a dream. On top of all of that, I have their cheapest vehicle, an ILX. I have only had it for two weeks, so my opinion might change, but as of right now, you people sound like spoiled adults who have always got what they desired. Why did you buy it? I tell you why. You heard they make luxurious vehicles that run forever. Why have you heard that? Because they are made by the same people who make Honda, and everyone knows Honda makes great cars. If you want to whine, buy something else. You wont hurt their business. Buy a cheaply made Mitsubishi or Hyundai. Quit trying to ruin peoples driving experience, because yours was.

I purchased a 2008 Acura TL new. The car was well maintained and garage stored. Within several years the perforated leather seats began to split. I had to have them replaced. The car was in great condition otherwise so I spent the money to replace them. A couple years later I noticed a crack on the right side of the dash. The crack grew and has expanded to multiple cracks. I have never experienced this with a car and would certainly not expect it from a brand known for quality and luxury yet when I did an internet search I discovered that it is a common problem with the Acura. Buyer beware.

So many features of this car to deal with. It was so cool to put the windows down and ride around in the fancy car with the leather seats and carpeting to dress up the fur. Got to upgrade all elements with leather seats and heaters and sunroof and satellite radio and automatic windows and trunk space and tires. You can fit so many people in the car. On June 8, 2012, I took my car into Acura of Milford, CT for an oil change and check the AC which was not working properly. All was done or so I thought to thetune of $304.52. I brought the car home and after a few days, my grandson, who is going to school for mechanics, said my car was leaking oil. He checked it out in my garage and found that the oil drain plug was stripped and that it did not tighten properly and needed replacing. This should have been caught by the mechanics at the Acura dealership. This cars previous owner always used the dealership when anything had to be done and I have followed in her footsteps taking the car to be serviced there also. I am indeed dissatisfied and will think about taking my car for an oil change next time I need it. On top of this, I was never told the oil drain plug was stripped. If I had been told, it could have been replaced.

After 5 years of being a faithful customer, when I bought out my lease the numbers were all over the place, I suspect intentionally. I suspiciously could never find a clear summary of the payoff amount, taxes charged, and all other fees on my account, and when I called for them to clarify they didnt seem to know. I was given a payoff amount, but a higher amount was deducted from my account. Not ok.When I received the signed bill of sale and title it showed that theyd taken almost $1400 more than the bill of sale said I should have been charged. I immediately opened a case on the transaction with my bank and call Acura. It took several weeks before they got back to me and when they did instead of apologizing and fixing the problem and refunding my money, they dared to argue with me and give me attitude. They admitted they made a mistake on the signed bill of sale so they wanted to send me another one for a higher amount. Every time I pointed out this was their error and not really my problem she corrected me with the word typo lol, and then went so far as to accuse me of trying to take advantage of a lower price! I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Aside from the fact that the bill of sale was binding, I explained I already used it to transfer the title and other things, so theres no going back now...She still just argued and accused me, she even said I should have called them to verify the bill of sale amount! Even though the Bill of sale is binding! What world is this? Honestly their defensiveness makes me wonder if this wasnt all an intentional scam. If it was really just an error then when the shoe is on the other foot and they stand to lose money, they really wont stand for it, will they. Funny how that works. Even when I told her Id already spoke to a lawyer she still got defensive and argued with me. There is no point even talking to them obviously they will not fix their problem, I regret ever buying from Acura. Check and DOUBLE CHECK ALL your numbers with them (especially sales tax!!)

I purchased a new 2021 Acura TLX on Dec 6th, 2020. Around 7500 miles the car steering rack started to make a noise. I recorded the video and sent it to my local Acura dealership (Vandergriff Acura). They said other Acura had the same issues and I need to get the steering rack assembly changed. The part was back ordered and it couldnt be fixed right away. After 4-5 months of wait the part was back in stock and Vandergriff installed the whole new steering rack assembly. The car at that point only had 14,000 miles. I took the car back to Vandergriff 3 times because the car wasnt going straight. The first time it was pulling to the left and the next two times pulling to the right. Ithen took it to another dealer in my area, Goodson Acura. They performed an alignment for free and said the issue is fixed. I drove the car right after and again the issue was there. The car keeps going to the left. The sensors in the car has be reset and still the car doesnt go straight. I contacted Acura Client Relations and Sue from CA called me back. She called me 3 weeks ago. She mentioned she will call me back and let me know if I can bring the car into the dealership. Three weeks in and reaching out to her three times already, she hasnt called me back. I am getting frustrated I have a new car and it drives worst than my 2021Mazda 3. I took my Acura MDX 2011 for its 1st service in Bellevue dealership. They checked and took the car into the service area. When I asked, they said this commonly happens many times and my service manager will have to see and approve for the replacement. After 2 days, the service manager said that it happened before leaving the car for service. The guys said they did not notice it when leaving the car and noticed it after the car wash. This service manager is very rude - I cant replace it; it’s all your fault, he was asking me to claim insurance for this and saying thats what insurance is there for. When I said I will complain to the Acura Company, he said, Nothing is going to happen, do whatever you want. When I asked him to see the cameras, how it was before, he said, I dont have the time for all of this, and hung up the phone. I am thinking of going to a lawyer to handle this with that rude guy.

I purchased an Acura Care certified extended warranty when I purchased my MDX from the Acura dealership. However, just before my warranty was set to expire, my car broke down due to a seized motor. I had the vehicle towed to Acuras service center, Pleasanton Automotive, because the vehicle was still under warranty. They dismantled the entire motor, called Acura Care who sent an inspector, and the inspector determined that Acura Care would not cover the repairs because the vehicle was damaged due to negligence. At this point, I would like to note that I have kept up with the preventive maintenance on the MDX - regular Mobil 1 synthetic oil changes and vehicle inspections done at Walmart, and regular tune-ups and inspections done at my ex-husbands automotive service shop. The Acura Care inspector said he determined that my car had been run without oil which caused the motor to become extremely overheated and seize. However, not once did my car show any indication of overheating, nor was it ever run without oil. When questioned, the Acura service advisor confirmed that the oil was full, there were no metal shavings found in the oil, and the vehicle did not have any leaks. The Acura representatives have verbally blamed Walmart for the damage, but they refuse to put the accusations in writing. Now, Acura is saying that I have to pay almost $9000 for a new motor and labor, but I still believe all costs should be covered under the extended warranty.

J have owned this vehicle since 5k miles. The ‘feature’ called engine auto stop has never worked properly, leaving me stranded at intersections countless times. It also drains the battery which Acura refuses to replace annually as a safety assurance. Acura is so arrogant that they claim nothing is wrong with the system and refuses to provide a way to permanently shut it off resulting in a death trap. Would you drive a vehicle whose brakes work 95% of the time with no warning for failure? I think not. I was almost rear ended by a large truck because this piece of garbage feature once again failed. Acura has me take it to a dealer to be told for the second time there was no issue. Do not buy any Honda products with this feature. I have just recently purchased a new 2016 MDX and currently have 3100 miles on the vehicle. I have some major concerns in which I am very worried about. I just went to the local supermarket for a few minutes went back to my car and tried to start it up. The transmission seemed to be locked into place the brake was very hard and the car would not start. I tried to start the vehicle up three times and it would not move. Eventually I called my husband and he came down, got into the vehicle and it started. Yet when I reached my home the event started again. Also the transmission seems to be jolting as if it is going in and out of gear. Another concern is that when it is cold sometimes when I turn the wheel to the left, it is as if there is not enough fluid where it is very rough. I had a CRV before this vehicle with 90 000 miles and I never had an ounce of a problem. Yet I have owned Mercedes vehicles and Audis and I thought they were problems. I hope this MDX does not top the German cars.

My car is a 2016. I bought it used. It was in excellent condition. The acceleration is lacking somewhat. It has a hesitation problem. But its a nice looking SUV. Its smaller than the car I sold when I bought this. That was a Hyundai Santa Fe. The Acura has some convenient things. It has a moon roof. It doesnt use a key to start the car. Its a push button. Mine has fully adjustable front heated seats. They are leather. Id like to have cooled seat because I live in southern Arizona. Overall its a good car thats a little hard on gas, however.

The Acura RSX model was definitely a nice vehicle for me. It got me to where I needed to go. And was a nice, fast, smooth ride, but not great in cold weather at all. I loved how it had cruise control for smooth, reliable, fun ride. The stereo was nice. Almost sounded like I had a system in it but it was generally just stock. All and all the heating was nice. You could change it for passenger and back seating. There was enough space as I didnt really have anyone riding passenger. However, not enough leg room for anyone over 57 in height. So I am only satisfied, not super happy about that. Nevertheless, it is sleek... Ultimately got so many compliments while driving it by random people in public places. Was quite impressed by how many people said I looked hot in it.

I have bought an Acura ILX July last year and in January the transmission broke! February they had to replace the battery twice, in March they had to replace the starter... and today the car would not start. I have been trying to talk to Acura saying that the car is beyond repair and that I dont need a buyback, only give me car that is not a lemon... the case manager keep saying that he is trying something but cannot guarantee anything!!! So I would not recommend anyone to buy an Acura, specially ILX.
