Product Reviews:

I leased a BRAND NEW 2013 Nissan Altima from Newburgh Nissan in NY. It had 48 miles on it. I've had the car almost 3 months and brought it in for an oil change today, and asked if they could check out the transmission since it has been sputtering while making left-hand turns. Not only did they try to first CHARGE me just to CHECK the transmission problem, but they came back and said, "the transmission is totally shot. This is a known problem." I called NMAC (the leasing company) and they said someone would call to mediate by 5PM. NO ONE CALLED. I agree with the last review. I was suckered into a HIGH monthly payment from DAY ONE. I understand the transmission is under warranty, but for the week or more that they will have my car in the shop, are they going to reimburse me for that portion of my car payment? NO. And I have to pay for a rental??? UNACCEPTABLE. And how many times is this car going to be back in the shop with a "new" transmission??? I guess I have to wait until they install 3 different transmissions in order to seek relief citing the NYS Lemon Law.

My lease was over and I turned in the vehicle, but Nissan and the dealers could not get together or work or cooperate on anything. Do I need an inspection? No, said Nissan because the dealership offered to buy the used car. According to the dealers, I do and they do it. Cool. They can inspect the vehicle when I turn it in. But then they don't, after all. NMAC and the dealership really jerk you around.During the lease, NMAC could not take my Visa for online payment, so I always had to send the check. After passing the inspection and escaping any costs, I was told "Just turn in the vehicle, you have paid everything you owe." Three weeks later I was charged by NMAC almost $500 for a disposition fee! I have been a Nissan customer since 2001. I am pissed. I was considering leasing another Nissan in a few months. Screw that. Today, I do not want another Nissan vehicle ever. "Merry Christmas, sucker, you owe us $500." What a way to screw your customers.

Been taking my Nissan 07 Pathfinder with 47,000 miles to the dealership for maintenance since I leased then bought it. Over two to three years I've been reporting a sound coming from the car as I accelerated up to 25 then again at 40 mph. This problem was never resolved because it came and went and it almost never surfaced when I would bring the car in for maintenance. They would tell me it's the heat shields and tighten them but the noise would return. I had scheduled a 45,000 mile maintenance and on the way to the dealership my engine began to rumble then the service engine light came on where. I was told by the adviser that a coil and a platinum spark plug needed to be replaced to fix the engine misfire. I was given a loaner and they worked on my car for two days. I got my car back and everything seemed fine, the engine light was off, car was smooth. A little more than a week later after I dropped off my wife at work, the engine started to act up and rumble and engine light came on again. I was not far from the dealership so I decided take it in. All of a sudden, halfway to the dealership, I cannot drive past 25 mph and the car starts to make the noise it's been making when I accelerated to 25 and 40 mph, the same noise I've been complaining about for about 3 yrs and now it's amplified. I told the service adviser about the incident and told it could possibly be the catalytic converter which is covered under warranty until 2015 by federal emissions law so it would be no cost to me to be replaced. I needed to go to work so again I was given a loaner and the job took two days. I received a call from Nissan and was told that the catalytic was very clogged and parts broke off damaging the engine and it was going to cost $6,600 or more to rebuild or replace the engine. My warranty inconveniently expired three months ago. How can this happen to a car with low miles and with an excellent maintenance record? Shouldn't Nissan be responsible?

Very reliable but has an occasional issue. I think that the Nissan performs well. There is an issue with the aux input. Plus there are times when the radio display goes blank when on. I thought that it would have better gas mileage as well. Overall I'm very pleased.

2009 Murano purchased new at 109k check engine light came on (code 011). Dealer says that the seal/gasket for the timing chain needs to be replaced. Parts $25, labor $2400. Nissan Consumer Affairs covers 80% dealer covered 10% and I was responsible for the rest. Still not happy that my engine has to come out and there are no guarantees after the vehicle will be in the shop 2 full days, SCARY! Nissan seemed helpful.

If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO. I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didn't have to come from the factory. I'm guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They can't even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, "Sorry car is not in warranty," spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. Nissan does not do the right thing and that's the bottom line! Poor product and terrible employees.

I had bought in May 2014, a brand new 2014 Nissan Sentra and it went bad. It had a major computer problem, factory glue leaking through the headliner, stitching unraveling from the fabric, and black paint coming off the radio console and Nissan bought it back with an intention for me to buy another, called a buy back. And then I bought a brand new 2015 Nissan Altima in Sept 2014 and the transmission went bad at only 5,000 miles, the cotter pin in the axle had to be re-tightened, the radio has static, there is a popping in the Bluetooth, and the speaker lid popped up. There is still static in the radio and there is still popping in the Bluetooth in the Nissan!!!! And Nissan says that's a normal operation. You have to be kidding me!!!I will never buy another Nissan. I don't recommend a Nissan to anyone. It was and is an awful experience. Nissan has stressed me out beyond belief. I had to go back and forth to the Nissan dealerships at least 20 times. Can you imagine two BRAND NEW Nissans going bad within six months? Nissan is not the same brand that it used to be.

Transmission problems. They know about problems with their vehicles but don’t care. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. I have talked to several people that bought them and mechanics they agree, don’t BUY. I talked to their corporate office and they don’t care and won’t talk about the issue.

My husband has a 2014 Nissan Sentra, he's made all payments on time. Recently he started getting calls about him "not paying". He's even showed his proof of each payment. All they said was "yeah it shows you paid, but we didn't get any payment" and told him to pay more. Obviously someone there is pocketing the money or some crap cause he's been paying. Last week they had his car repossessed for no payment... But he has been paying. He's even told them that he won't ever get another Nissan and asked them if "they scam all soldiers like this?" they hung up on him. He has yet to get his car back and they still won't admit that there's something wrong in the whole payment thing. They said he hasn't paid in 4 months. I have a 2015 Sentra and I'm thinking of selling mine so I don't go through this crap too. NMAC are nothing but scammers.

I purchased my 2015 Nissan Murano June 2015 because my family and I love the new body design, overall performance is nice, I wished I did not have to send a bad review. My problem is with the tires installed on this vehicle by Continental Tire, I first started noticing the problem around 25k miles; I noticed cracks and pieces of rubber are coming off tires. At 26,000 I contact Nissan customer service and Continental Tire with no success. This experience is leaving a bad taste of customer satisfaction by Nissan USA for next time I decide to buy another new vehicle. I do not think is fair that buying a $40k vehicle should need new tires before the 50 to 60k miles. I took my vehicle in to Mossy Nissan in Houston the dealership I purchased from, and I been told that Nissan denied any warranty on tires. I am in the auto service industry and I know the importance of maintaining one's vehicle so I rotate the tires twice year. When I first notice the problem I check the alignment thinking that it may be alignment issue but was not the case; in fact my front end tech explained that a new vehicle should not need an alignment unless it had been on an accident or in abused driving. Our family's vehicle is used for pleasure weekend driving, and week wife works 5 minutes from home; so most of regular city driving about 7,500 miles per year, other highway miles 3 to 4 trips to the Valley in the last 3 years.
