Kia Corporation, commonly known as Kia is a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It is South Korea's second largest automobile manufacturer after Hyundai Motor Company, with sales of over 2.8 million vehicles in 2019.

Kia puts the fun in funky with the wonderfully appointed Sportage. This quirky compact crossover has a charming interior and a long list of premium options. Although it’s only available on the top SX trim, a rowdy turbocharged four-cylinder engine makes the Sportage downright speedy. A 181-hp inline-four provides ample push on lower trims. Both engines mate to a six-speed automatic transmission with front- or all-wheel drive. Despite mediocre fuel economy and tight cargo quarters, the jovial Sportage is a justifiable alternative to top-ranked rivals.

Product Reviews:

My daughter bought a new Kia Sorento and has had transmission problems. Won't go when in drive about once or twice a month. Went through lemon law and called Kia. Won't return our call. I'm tired of being on standby to pick her up and my grandchild when it has those spells. So much for warranty. They couldn't ever find problem so I guess it's in our mind.

Received Kia Motor Finance Lease Agreement, dated 09/19/2013 with noted Maturity Date of 09/19/2016. The disposition fee will be waived if you purchased or leased a new Kia Motors Finance within 60 days after the return of the leased vehicle. I had decided not to purchase and to return the car. I returned the car prior to 09/19/2016. When I leased the car on 09/13/2016, I had the alarm activated, 3m edge protectors door guides and handle cap, windows tinted 2-4 for a total amount of $1451. I had new brakes serviced on 06/06/2016 and completed set of new premium 19" tires installed just before the brakes this year. I took extra care of car which had no dents. I called Kia to go over added charge of $290 fee and was told the front bumper had a scratch which I was never aware of nor have I ever notice when the car was wax or washed. The car was waxed and spotless when returned. I took pride in keeping the car in top shape including using synthetic oil and filters. I received notice for request of $690 to be paid within 15 days from date of notice dated 09/29/2016. The total consisted of disposition fee of $400 and excessive wear and use of $290. My wife and I prefer not to be charged unnecessarily and as a result of this I will be frank with anyone that might be interested in leasing a Kia to watch out for these unnecessary added fees if one elects not to purchase the car. I sent check for above amount of $690. I did not take photos when I returned car since it was immaculate and did not foresee any problems.

I took my car to KIA Shop for repairs after an accident in mid Jan 2019. I was promised it would come out as good as new but sadly it came out looking awful. I took it back and they demanded extra money if I want any more work done. I contacted their headquarters and after a series of back and forth, they said they would do the repairs. Initial agreement involved changing of bumper which they refused to do until I pressed. I had to call them up on Facebook before I was told that the repairs will be done. We are now in Mid-March and the car is still with them. The most annoying thing is they don't even call to give status update. I have to be the one to do the calling. I have been using UBER since the car was with them and spending extra-budgetary. I have resolved that whatever happens, I will NEVER use KIA services again and I will go out of my way to ensure that nobody I know uses KIA services for any reason.

I bought a 2015 KIA Soul in Aug 2015, a 2015 model. I bought the car based on price and gas mileage. They touted the excellent warranty and reliability of the car. Well, six months later the car stopped running at a stop sign this past Sunday. It's a manual transmission and would not engage the transmission. Had it towed to KIA and was informed today the clutch was burnt out and the warranty on this is 12K miles and the car has 12,900K so guess what. Yep, $1500.00 dollars later I can get my car back. I have driven manual transmissions my entire life and never had any sort of clutch failure. Buyer beware. Please read and advise all your friends to stay as far away from KIA as possible. Supposedly the case was sent to KIA headquarters who denied the claim. Shame on that person and believe me I will spread the word far and wide. DO NOT BUY A KIA.

My mom has a 2013 Kia Soul. My mom does not drive on the freeway nor does she travel. She is retired and only drives around town. The car only has 30,000 miles on it is 6 years. She gets it maintenance on time at the dealership only. Last year the car started "jerking and jumping" when you would step on the gas while you were driving. She took it to the dealership. They "fixed it", now this year the car is paid off and my mom has moved to Arizona from California. The car is doing it again, and now the engine light is coming on. She now has to pay big bucks to get it diagnosed and fixed "maybe". My point is. After buying a new car off the lot, loving and caring for the car by way of dealership only like they suggest, using the best gas, and very low mileage, this car should last forever! So KIA's in my opinion are ** cars, now my 71 years old mother has to be dealing with this instead of enjoying her retirement. I'M PISSED!

I purchase a 2016 Kia Sorento. Ever since day one I have safety recall issues which none of the Kia dealerships can fix it, GAS PEDAL, AIR CONDITION, BACK DOOR, SEAT BELT, BRAKES etc. I have contact Kia corporation, they are a JOKE. They never return calls so now I'm doing everything I can to let all know how this crocks operate. They just sell you the vehicle and just deal with the problems yourself. I have report them to the BBB, Department of Justice and DMV, investigators do all the same together, will make a difference. Let's all report this crooks to all this departments to put them out of business.

Kia Optima Hybrid Engine - We were driving home from something on Mother's Day and the car made a loud sound and the engine stopped running. It threw a rod and ruined the engine. Kia now is saying that this is not covered under warranty because the car had the wrong oil filter and was not getting adequate oil in the engine. Havoline says that this is not the case and that it is the proper filter. In addition, even if there were an issue with the filter clogging, it would bypass the filter and oil would still flow. I have done nothing wrong but now I am in a fight. It looks like Kia is trying to just make an excuse instead of actually honoring their warranty responsibility.

I was driving my 2013 Kia Sorrento on Interstate 95 at 8 am on the morning of 8/11/14. Clear day, nothing out of the ordinary. I had 2 co-workers with me and when I looked in my rear view mirror I noticed the sun in the eyes of one of my co-workers so I pulled the shade on the sunroof. Less than a minute later we all heard a loud bang out of nowhere that sounded like a gunshot. Immediately following the sunroof exploded into a million little pieces that rested on the shade I had just pulled. If I hadn't done that, we would have all been pelted with the glass and who knows what kind of injury or accident would have occurred.

Just received first bill will three days' notice to pay. I have been on phone over 2 hours and can't get an account set up. Their reply, "You have to get another computer (had tried on a computer and my phone) and just keep trying". I then asked for a manager and was begrudgingly forwarded to a manager who kept trying to help and now 2 hours 20 minutes later, still do not have an account and they can't set one up for me (even though they have all my info on their computer system).

I purchased my 2014 Kia Sorento after it was a leased vehicle for two years. I was thrilled at the beginning until halfway through year 2 of owning it ALL of my paint started peeling off of the roof and the sides of the windshield. After fighting Kia for months and them denying that anything with their paint is faulty and taking it to numerous repair shops I got it painted for the low low price of $1,000. I then had the OTHER side of my windshield start peeling less than 2 weeks after I got the driver side painted resulting in me having to fight with Kia again. I have been fighting this battle since June of 2018 and am still waiting for my reimbursement check from consumer affairs for the first round of repainting. They apparently keep forgetting to hit their magical process button for my check as that is the excuse I've now received 3 times from them. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THEIR CARS. The paint is not properly applied and is not thick enough and will start peeling just before year 4 of owning the car. Kia will tell you they only insure their paint job for 3 years and that you are "out of luck." This product is faulty and they are not willing to do anything except turn you away and not acknowledge the problem. Terrible company.
