Product Reviews:

After going to 6 dealerships must people with Ford transmission they offer us the X plan 400 off a new car. What a joke. I gave Ford 2 weeks to make it right. We out 2800 dollars and our balance of 8500 dollars what we owe on their junk. We have only one option now is to file bankruptcy due to Ford Motor Company. Thanks Ford for screwing up our credit. Ford don't care about their customers or the ones that drive their junk. We will have a long wait till we'll be able to buy another car. Thanks to Ford Motor Company. But in a few years there won't be a Ford in my yard and I'm going to get this in the news and buy a billboard and will leave bad marks on every Ford site I can.

Ford is refusing to fix our 09 Escape's power steering issue after issuing a NHTSA recall in July 2014. (14S05) At the time of recall our car didn't have any problems. Ford took the cheap way out and reprogrammed the steering module which fixed nothing. It was a way for Ford to clear our VIN number from the NHTSA recall list. 10,422 miles after the reprogramming the power steering failed. Ford says it's now our problem and we have to pay to fix the car. $1,327.90. The car is now showing trouble code B1342 and needs it's steering column replaced. If you are having the same problems please report it to NHTSA ASAP. They are investigating Ford for not fixing their recalls. As of right now they have 122 complaints.

Ford F-550 6.0: This engine has 23,000 miles on it. I have had to put an EGR delete kit on it pay for a gas tank problem that Ford knows is a problem. And it is still giving me problems. DOES anyone make a decent truck anymore???

Truck was parked in the driveway and caught fire under the hood. Local Ford dealership was aware of recall that could have caused the fire but refused to work on it. Their advice was to contact insurance company because the work that needed to be done was worth more than the truck's value.

I have been a Ford Customer for over 30 years and I will NEVER buy another Ford. Ford refuses to cover the corrosion that is spreading on the hood of my 2014 Explorer. Now the paint is starting to chip off as well. Ford is well aware of this issue with several Ford models and will NOT do anything about it. (The local Ford Body Shop Manager told me so.) The issue is due to inadequate prep work before painting the vehicle. I have been going back and forth with Ford for over 6 months. I even sent a letter to the Ford Board of Directors. Ford simply does NOT care. FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES!At first Ford tried to say that the warranty is 3/36000 miles, but later admitted that the warranty is actually 5 years/unlimited miles. Then they stated: "Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to a defect in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage only applies if the corrosion causes perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels. Corrosion Warranty coverage begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years, regardless of miles drive." This is a defect in factory workmanship!

This car started off my dream car. I moved from Louisiana to California about 4 years ago and the troubles began. Apparently the car cannot handle the hills and inclines of San Diego. About a year after moving here I started having a slight thud after putting far in reverse. My husband said I just needed to let the motor wind down before putting in drive. It wasn't an everyday all the time problem. Just intermittent then last year it began to shut off on me going down the road. I would stop at a stop sign or red light and the car literally would crawl then hard bang and take off. The problems got more frequent and worse. I was involved in a frontal collision doing about 30 miles an hour, enough to send the other car that ran the red light into a 360 turn and not one air bag in the car went off. $13000.00 dollars worth of damage to the front end of my car and not one air bag inflated. Thank god we were all buckled up. After the accident I drove the car for about 2 weeks before the car literally sounded like it was grinding rocks, transmission slipping severely and I was afraid to drive it. I take it into the local Ford dealership and after having it for 2 days I get a call saying they can't figure it out. 10 minutes later they call and say it's ready. I get there and I'm told "you need a new transmission." $5700 for a transmission that apparently has some defects from all of the other people I've read complaining having the same issues! Ford should be ashamed for putting a transmission in a "family" car that is potentially unsafe and unreliable. Beware when buying one of these.

My complaint is with Ford Motor Company. My vehicle was covered under the power train warranty and I noticed sluggish shifting and jarring in low gears. Because it was within 60k miles, I took it to their service center. They said they created ROI but couldn't do anything until a service light came on. It felt unsafe to drive but I did continue driving, the service light came on when it downshifted too far and red lined. I took video and picture of this within the vehicle, but the light shut off before I could get back to them. They claimed they couldn't recover the code, but they did have my picture proving light had been on. They also drove vehicle and confirmed the mechanical issue I experienced. This is all documented, but both the dealership and Ford is unwilling to service vehicle to satisfaction and now vehicle falls outside warranty mileage. I have all invoice documentation and pictures proving this, and Ford also said they can't fix vehicles without service light. This all took place over the course of 6 weeks or so, not years or even months. They are avoiding their warranty obligation.Shortly after, the service light came on and Ford confirmed what I already new, Transmission issues. Even though I reported the issue within warranty with ROI invoice created, Ford refuses to pay full cost of repair because light didn't stay on until just outside of warranty miles. This is definitely deceptive and probably illegal to not cover the repair, which is why Ford is offering to cover "less than half." However, I would never recommend purchasing from Ford again as they don't back their warranties. It's unfortunate as I've been a Ford owner of new vehicles for years, but I can't recommend anymore. Quality control and lack of Warranty consistency has hurt this once great American Brand.

I just traded my 2013 Edge to get the new and improved 2015 Edge... Have the EcoBoost 4 cylinder in both and the 2015 improvement on the motor is great but the rest I am not impressed. It came with the cheap mats Ford installs and so I ordered the all weather mats for another 95.00 only to find the driver mat doesn't even go up under the pedals where most of the crud falls off... Whats up with that Ford. I sure some DS blamed his accident on a pedal catching on the mat. Next the driver seat is terrible uncomfortable with the seat portion bolster way higher than the seat so I carry my weight on the outside of my thighs. I am not a huge guy at 5-9 190 either... Other complaint is they shrunk the controls behind the steering wheel and I find them more difficult to use. They are quieter inside but overall I wish I had my trade money back and still driving my 2013 Edge... Not really any improvement overall in my book. I will be looking for something else in a couple years for sure.

A few years ago, I purchased a 2004 White Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the paint was peeling and blowing away with the wind. This was not my first experience with this condition, so I knew immediately what was wrong. Incompatibility between the paint and primer used at the factory. At the start of flaking, I scraped away the loose paint on the edges of the patch, primered it with a spray can hoping to seal the edges and not allow the wind to lift more of the paint. Then I repainted the spots with a spray can of white paint. Sorry to report that this patch only lasted a matter of weeks before the wind got under the original paint once again and flaking continued. I have a bunch of pictures showing this condition covering most of the roof and trunk lid as well spots on the rest of the car. I had thought of putting a sign on the car stating that this was an original Ford paint job that was flaking away, but I haven't done that yet. I had to at least prime the roof spots because rust was starting to show. I called Ford service only to find out the people who answered were not Ford employees, but a company hired as gatekeepers to fend off pesky complaints that they probably dumped in the trash at the end of each shift. Apparently Ford is not interested in owning up to their mistake with the paint job as they have ignored my request for a fix. As I said above, this is not my first experience with this issue.I purchased a 1986 Ford F-150 that exhibited the exact same problem with the paint, and after much correspondence with Ford (at that time you could talk directly to a Ford rep.), they recalled the truck, stripped the paint completely and repainted the whole truck. I am very pleased with this car in every other way and would be forever grateful if someone out there could reach into Ford and bring this to their attention, and hopefully, a satisfactory resolution. Thanks.

Ford Freestar - Had car inspected 1/24/14 & had rear struts put on...no problem. Took my car in 1/2015 & when brakes where being put, guy noticed large hole in wheel well. There is a recall for this part and Ford said the corrosion is too large to fix under the recall.
