BUYER BEWARE!!!! My wife and I have been leasing a VW Tiguan for the last 2 years and recently experienced a nightmare of an an issue. A recent monthly payment was not pulled from her bank accurately and instead of contacting me, the lessor, it became delinquent and they reported to the credit agencies. After several dispute letters explaining the issue, they just deny...deny...with no explanation!! I call VW customer service who explains that the Credit department does not have a phone #, so you can't even talk to the person that handles the issue. Thank you VW for ruining my excellent 15 year credit history! I will be sure to never do business with this organization again and make it my personal mission to tell others to do the same.

I have been an on/off VW owner for almost 15 years. I recently became one again just a few months ago and now I know why I was on/off, rather than always on! After this current experience, I cannot recommend Volkswagen products any longer and no matter what changes they make, I will never return. My recent vehicle was purchased brand new and the quality of workmanship on it is so poor that I would not let my worst enemy get one. Mine came with a defective dashboard straight out of the factory! The dash had a golf ball sized imperfection and a few hollow spots near the passenger airbag. The front window trims also had gashes in them and were also colored differently. One of my interior lights has a bug and some floating debris inside of the housing. There is a s black paint mark on one side of my trunk door (my vehicle is red). I don't care how much the vehicle retails for, this workmanship is pure junk and 100% unacceptable. This vehicle and all of VW is a total embarrassment to the entire car world. Even FORD is putting out top-notch vehicles in 2020. SHAME ON YOU VOLKSWAGEN.

Bought a 2013 2.5 SE as a left over in 2014. Since then I have had the window master switch replaced, the front passenger window switch, the Bluetooth module, shifter and ignition replaced all due to failures and malfunctions. The one item was the AC where during summer temps the vent temperature fluctuated from 40 to 70 degrees, the AC would shut off humid air blow out for 10 minutes and then it would kick back on. I have brought my vehicle in many times for this issue at every 10k factory service and many times in between. The incompetent techs look for malfunction codes, check the charge level and run the car in the SHOP and say, "Oh it's cold..."At the 40k mark outside of the B2B warranty they "found" the issue and told me a simple exact and recharge would fix it. Now if the charge level was fine at every AC service why would it be found now? That wasn't the case, the issue still remains. I got VWOA involved. They said nothing can be done other than having them look at it again (likely same results) where I may be liable for loaner expenses. I am never buying a VW for myself or recommending a VW to anyone again.

The first time, I had problems with my spark plug coils is at about 60k miles. I replaced all four then. At 100k miles, it went out again. I'm currently at 150k and my car is getting symptoms of the same problem. I don't think the coils are the main problem. Twice I've used dealership parts and failed. Last time I bought aftermarket parts and it's leading to the same problem. What gives VW! Spark plug coils again!?

So I get a postcard in the mail for a recall in my ABS system in my car (2009 VW Jetta). I make an appt at VW in Clarksburg WV for 0900 on June 19th. After sitting for an hour and a half I check the status of my car. The service manager says it should only take 30 minutes for my car and I told him is already been waiting an hour and a half. He goes, checks on my car. State's that they have to order a new ABS SYSTEM for my car which 9 out 10 times a car doesn't need it. But mine does. He then says they don't recommend me driving it until it's fixed. So I ask if they are going to give me a temporary or loaner vehicle to which he says "I can't. We don't have any." So I ask if they will provide a rental. He says "VW doesn't do that."So what do I do? The manager says, "If you want your car you have to sign a waiver" and pushes my car keys into his pocket. So I was told I could have my car if I signed a waiver releasing them of liability if I get in an accident but they won't provide me with any type of vehicle to drive temporarily. So with great hesitation I sign and voice my opinion on how bad their service is and always has been but this was topping it. Told they'd call me when the replacement came in.11 days later, I just called them and asked why they haven't called me about it. The manager again (how he's the service manager is beyond me bc he does a very poor job at retaining customers or helping them) says to me "I haven't called bc I haven't had any available appts open to get you in!" I said "don't you think you should call me so that I can make an appt at least?!?!? After all I am driving around with a disabled ABS system!!!"Without any regard to my well being or my kids who ride in my vehicle or others on the road, he says "I guess I can get you in July 10th." You guess??? I am so appalled and so extremely angry at how incompetent and irresponsible this man is!! He lacks any concern for others and he's fat lazy **. Cannot and does not even attempt to help me in this situation. I highly suggest that VW replace him with someone who knows what they're are doing. I will never, ever buy another vehicle from VW!!! They have done nothing but give me a run around from day 1.

Each month I have to call VW Credit so they remove the tax as it was already paid to my state as they note every month yet it magically "reappears" and they fix it for the month I call but never for the entire period. I love the vehicles but this will be the last one I have after spending a significant amount of time each month getting this corrected, only to have it reappear on the following billing cycle. Incompetent and probably illegal. They probably won't even pay attention to this. Next stop is to seek legal counsel. Can't wait until I am no longer upside down on the vehicle to get another vehicle and separate all ties with VW Credit.

I own a 2014 VW Golf TDI that I purchased brand new. Since I've owned the vehicle I have had all the services done on time and at a VW dealership. The car currently has 40558 miles on it. I had an O2 sensor go bad on me roughly 100 miles ago. I am by no means an expert mechanic but I have been working on cars for a little over 20 years and I couldn't believe how quickly the sensor went out. Even the people at the dealership were completely shocked by how quickly it went out. When I call VW of America they basically told me "yeah that's horrible but it's your problem." I really thought VW was a better company than that and manufactured better products than that.

I contacted VW Roadside Service for assistance and spoke with a customer service representative (CSR) named Tammy. She was very abrupt and discourteous as I tried to communicate why I needed Roadside Service. My front left tire blew out. I contacted the VW Roadside Service. The CRS asked if I had vehicle warranty and after she checked she said I did not have the warranty. At that point she became nasty and abrupt in taking my vehicle information. She told me that Roadside Service did not change tires. She did not listened to the information that I gave her and she kept telling me "this does not work" speaking about my credit card when that was incorrect. There was nothing wrong with my credit card. If she had listened to me she would have gotten it right the first time.My husband and I have purchased several vehicles from VW over the years and I am very disappointed and angry at the treatment I received when I was in need of "HELP". I did not think VW Roadside Service is only for consumers with warranties on their vehicle. I will not use or recommend this service to anyone else. There are other Roadside Services that are much nicer than this one!

They refuse to help or admit a problem exists with the engine. They made a crappy engine that burns oil way too fast and they will not fix it. But they gave me a $1000.00 voucher to buy another Volkswagen.

After four years of dealing with Volkswagen customer service I have made my mind up to never buy another! I like my 2010 Jetta TDI Sportswagen - it's a nice car to drive and get decent fuel mileage. I have dealt with two different dealerships on various issues, and feel their "service representatives" are very poorly trained. Can you imagine one of them telling me that my spark plugs needed replacement - on a diesel, there are no spark plugs! Or a "labor charge" of $90.00 to replace the rear window wiper. The wiper itself cost $16.00 as a separate charge. This car has never been touched by anyone but VW dealers, and they stripped the oil pan's drain plug out?? Then blamed it on me because I have the car's oil changed too frequently??The latest issue was an "engine trouble light". They charged me $99.99 just to read the problem, then tell me "the problem is your "glow plug" is bad". Diesel engine will not start without an active "glow plug". I feel I am being ripped off. And when I total all the charges, I realize I would have been better off financially driving another vehicle with half the fuel economy. Today I got an answer back from corporate that they took my complaint and passed it on to the dealer -- what's wrong with this picture??? Before you invest in any Volkswagen product, consider their poor, and very expensive service work, and no help from the manufacturer. Customer Service Counts!!!
