Buick is a division of the American automobile manufacturer General Motors. Started by automotive pioneer David Dunbar Buick, it was among the first American marques of automobiles, and was the company that established General Motors in 1908.

Buyers who see a BMW or a Mercedes-Benz as too flashy may find a more low-key—but also lower grade—version of luxury in the 2021 Buick Enclave SUV. With three spacious rows of seats, the Enclave is also a good choice for growing families. It is mechanically related to the Chevrolet Traverse and uses the same 3.6-liter V-6 and nine-speed automatic transmission as its bow-tie-clad cousin. Performance is agreeable, and the Enclave delivers a creamy ride and a quiet cabin. The Enclave's downfall is its down-market interior materials, which don't differentiate it enough from the cheaper, non-luxury Traverse trims. And the Enclave's lack of refinement is obvious when it's parked next to comparable Audis, Lincolns, and Volvos—then again, its starting price is thousands less than those luxury models.

Product Reviews:

My full review of this 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir is yet to be made as I've only had it for a few weeks. However, to say I'm completely satisfied out of the box that answer is a big "NO". All the technology on this car can be quite confusing and to make that point try and call the OnStar service to find out about those things that are not clear in the manual and they'll put you on hold to go look in the manual. Really, their support people are poorly trained and somewhat useless when you call. No auto rain sensing windshield wipers which even the salesperson didn't know as he tried to convince me that we had them after I'd called and had to turn them on and off in a rainstorm we'd driven through. Connect 10 Bluetooth devices including your phone yet if you're using another device other than your phone, then your phone won't answer through the car. Hands free on the phone is one of the most important features a car can have for obvious safety reasons. I'm still working out what I like and dislike about the car but with a car that costs you over $60,000 you'd expect the simple things to be there and to work. On one last thing with Onstar, not sure whether they outsource it or not as have talked to a few who I can't even understand other than not being able to answer simple questions. It's a comfortable ride, quiet and great space when third row seats down but many other cars have that and the above problems not there. Just a bit disappointed.

Replaced my very problematic 2014 Honda CR-V. Customer service at Buick was great purchasing this wonderful underrated vehicle. Love the styling, mpg, fit and finish is beautiful. Would highly recommend this vehicle.

My car ran fine from 2016-2019 - I barely drove it. It had 40,000 miles on it after 3 years and since I take the train to work and the car was inexpensive and seemed to run well, I figured why not take over the lease. As soon as I did, the turbo boost failed. So I brought it to the dealership and they fixed it. When I got it back, the ENGINE EXPLODED. After having it towed to the dealership, they told me that it was irreparable. When I asked Buick for help, they said that there was sludge in the engine which must mean I never changed the oil, which is patent nonsense – how would I pass inspection three years in a row with an unmaintained vehicle? Not to mention I had my service station pull receipts from as many oil changes they could find (7) and sent those as proof but they replied "those were written in pencil and so are not valid." That is nonsense. But even still, I dug deeper and found another receipt, an original carbon copy on the yellow paper, typed out. They just ignored that, as they also ignored the OnStar system report showing a robust maintenance history with oil changes at about every 5000 miles. No matter. They closed the case. I still owe $15,000 to GM Financing. Why do they think I'm going to pay it? I will get justice and have my credit repaired despite their evil tampering. And I will sue for damages too. And I've started a Facebook Group for other people who have had problems with (what I've come to learn) their notoriously awful, neglectful, careless, thoughtless, ignorant, unjust, and bullying "customer service." This company should be gutted and replaced with a newer generation of younger executives who understand today's customer as well as the power of social media.**

Buick is very reliable. I have been very happy with the cars I've owned, looking into buying a new vehicle very soon like a Volkswagen Jetta or any Sedan or a SUV. I love the Volkswagen Jetta appearance throughout the years. It's always been a very adorable car and its features have been getting better with the years. They offer a lot of features with the new vehicle. It does get pricey but honestly it's cheaper than most brand new vehicles out there and they are very reliable cars. They are very comfortable and spacious. They are differentially the type of luxury I'm looking for. Besides, a SUV would be more room for everyone in my house.

What a waste of cash paid out of pocket!!! LEMON LEMON LEMON!!! Future I will buy foreign! Just after purchase wheel bearing out - dealership replaced the part and new tires. Engine out before 60,000 miles-necessary towing from interstate. Trunk release had to be replaced... fixed with key chain. Transmission out before 80,000 miles- towing necessary broke down in parking garage. 3 windows would not work up or down- replaced. 4th window out- someone suggested replace door panel unit to operate windows which Buick knew was a problem rather than previously spent $400 per window. AC problem - have constantly had to add Freon every season and now for second time since 2 months ago needs it again... LEMON!!! Bag of trouble! Now 104,000 miles from since I bought it and seals need to be replaced. I have to rent a car to drive any distance since afraid I will break down again! Not dependable at all!!! Women DO NOT BUY BUICK BECAUSE IT IS NOT RELIABLE!!! Contacted Buick 7 years ago but no response! Horrible experience and expensive to replace all these parts and towing!!! Attorney may contact me if you take it out of the winnings! Think still have original receipt... in SUV.

Just leased a 2016 Buick Encore, base with interlink radio, non-touchscreen display. Can't see out back due to glare, fog or general distortion. This could be dangerous! I went to my Buick dealer, he took out another 2016 Encore to compare the camera. Same effect, blurry on second Encore. Appears problem is in camera lens. I tried adjusting the contrast, dark, light on the dash display switch. No effect except darker, blurry. Dealer had no remedy. I just traded in a 2013 GMC Terrain, and received a recall notice from GMC concerning the backup camera with interlink radio. There is a new software patch for the terrain. Perhaps there is a new software for the Buick Encore??? Any advice, fix??

I purchased a 2010 Buick Lacrosse in July of 2010 and since I have bought it I have spent over $5000.00 in repairs in addition to warranty repairs that were covered. My check engine light came on and I was given a list of codes that were causing the problem. I fixed all recommended issues, only to have the light come on again a day later. I was given the run around about how that one light controls hundreds of components and that the dealership would fix it. The next day I was given the bogus excuse that because the area where my tank was located had been dented that I needed to replace the fuel tank reservoir because that was causing the problem. I took my car to a non GM dealer and was told it was something going on with my engine. I took my car back only to be told that it was my timing chain after I raised all kinds of hell about the erroneous diagnostics. After that repair, maybe a month later my car starts overheating and I was told that it was my water pump and that was going to be an additional $1200! I am so sick of this car that it is pathetic! I thought about trading the car in towards the purchase of another but with all the invested money on repairs, I feel like I'm losing! I would never buy another Buick. I own a Lexus and BMW and have never had these kinds of problems. I love the body style and luxury of the car but the mechanical issues are too much for me. It seems that the quality of these parts are sub-par and below industry standards, just listen out for all the recalls that GM lists every month seems like! Imagine the other numerous issues that get swept under the rug only to be footed by the consumers. GM will lose a lot of its potential customer base with these mechanical concerns because anyone that asks about the performance of my car gets an earful that's surely able to deter them from buying one!

After buying Buick for many, many years, I bought a Honda - I hated it. It was like driving in a tin can. After one year, I sold it and went back to a Buick - it was a costly mistake.

While driving, my 2011 Buick Regal CXL suddenly lost acceleration and when I tried to change gears from drive to reverse...nothing! The car would not change gears and if I put my foot on the gas it had power but no acceleration. When I took/towed it to the dealer, after their check, I was told they could not find anything wrong with the transmission, sensors, nothing...except the brakes!I was told I do not drive my car very much, 7000 miles in 13 months, and my brakes pads were sticking causing the sensors to be confused, and the car did not know what gear it was to be in so it stopped. This does not seem possible to me...however, I am not the expert. I do not want to spend $650.00 on an overall brake job and still have the same problem. I definitely do not want to be on the highway and lose control like this, no acceleration and no gears.

It is a very durable, reputable car. Not a car or brand that you would have to pay a bunch of money! With the value you would expect a distinct appearance and non standard features from this brand. But the various upgrade and personalization options offered by this company and brand are limited because it has a small about of availability.
