Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, since 2008 a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.

Land Rover reopens the book on one of its most iconic nameplates with the all-new 2020 Defender. It's boxy shape and retro details recall the 1950's original and combine with Land Rover's modern design language to create an appearance that's both sophisticated and nostalgic. While the 2020 Defender looks like an ordinary crossover, it has serious off-road capabilities and rugged components that help it live up to its go-anywhere heritage. The Defender boasts durable cabin furnishings, but also upscale materials and numerous luxury features.

Product Reviews:

The brakes wear warning came on at 27100 km. I drive mostly highway and I am very light on the brakes, so when I saw the warning I ignored and thought it is false alarm. A week later, light disappeared. Drove for another week, warning brake light came on again. Kept driving, but the light stayed on. By that time I had 28000 km, so I decided to take it to my local garage and let him check the brakes.I was told that the rear brake pads are completely gone and rotors were rusted, so I asked if this is normal and mechanic answer was NO WAY. He explained that the front brakes do most of the work and to have rear brakes completely worn out is extremely unusual. He went on to say that they must have been faulty brakes. I called the dealer which is Thornhill Land Rover and talked to the service manager Sandro who told me that this is normal and depends on my style of driving, in other words SOL.I called Land Rover Canada after spending 20 min on the phone with some dim light lady. She decided after consulting with someone else that it is wear and there is nothing they can do for me. So I am sorry to say that after driving BMW for 15 years switching to Land Rover Discovery 2016 was the biggest mistake. My previous BMW all of them I drove to 65000 km and never replaced or seen brake lights come on. For all of you who are thinking or considering buying this car save your money and headache and stay away. It's a lemon and neither the company nor the dealers care.

The headrests in the 2015 Range Rover are not designed properly. They are tilted to push your head in a forward position, and cannot be tilted backwards enough to be level with the seat. They are extremely uncomfortable and causing neck aches, for both driver and front passenger. Land Rover was contacted but said there was nothing that could be done. I did not have that problem with my previous two Range Rovers. I do not have this issue with any of my other cars.

I purchased a 2018 Range Rover Sport with the expectation that a six figure car would have everything sorted and working. I was wrong. The media module decides when it wants to work, doesn't load all of my music and contacts, and won't connect to my iPhone if it doesn't feel like it. I've had it back to the dealer 3 times. They have changed the module and tried everything they can to fix it but I have been told that there is nothing else they can do. Apparently it's an issue between Apple and Land Rover and Land Rover won't pay the fee to Apple for system upgrades, hence issues with Apple phones. It's incredibly frustrating considering the cost of the car and the advertising Land Rover puts out about their 'luxury car' abilities. Their arrogance lets them down badly and doesn't bode well for reputation. I've been left with we'll get in touch when we have a resolution. Not good enough.

The Land Rover is very good and has great large suspensions. It is a very comfortable vehicle to travel with family and friends. It is luxury and with a lot of speed. I love it. It is very nice.

I purchased a Land Rover Discovery Sport in March of 2016. By September, the coolant was leaking and they replaced the water pump. A year later, a cylinder in the engine goes and Land Rover is denying any responsibility. Umm, the water pump failing, overheated and cracked a cylinder head. How is that not their responsibility? Their internal service reminder system failed on the car and yet they didn't think it was important to tell their customers the system they repeatedly told everyone was working had failed and they needed a backup. I didn't catch their car's defects fast enough so they are trying to use it as an excuse not to cover a new engine. After 3 months of talking to the brick wall that is customer service, I have had to take my fight to social media along with writing letters to all of their senior executives. I'll keep fighting until they make it right. My car is less than 2 years old and undrivable. I have zero incentive to stop fighting.

In all the vehicles I have purchased both personally and professionally I can only report exceptionally delightful experiences with both the dealership and the sales rep - until I purchased a Range Rover from Hennessy Jaguar Land Rover Gwinnett. My previous experience in purchasing vehicles was, in fact, so delightful that when I have purchased my company vehicles at one dealership I have typically used for this purpose that I have sent the dealership staff and sales reps gifts after closing and written glowing reviews and completed surveys indicating satisfaction above and beyond the norm. This is my first negative experience with a dealership and it’s been one I don’t care to remember, but would rather forget. From the assistant manager Mr. David ** developing convenient memory loss as to his promises made as part of the transaction later, after the purchase, to the questionable ethics and practices of Mr. Ricky ** in the finance department. Having previously heard woeful tales from others about their experiences with car dealerships, I could never relate. It has now become my unfortunate reality. After experiencing multiple issues with the vehicle purchased at the dealership less than a month into ownership and only having possession of the vehicle for 18 days of that month long period of time due to the time the dealership had it for the initial repairs it became clear this Range Rover is a lemon. It broke down not but a few miles from the dealership on the date of purchase. The battery light came on even though the dealership said the issue was a fuel sensor which was repaired. They told me that the repair addressed the issue and it wouldn't occur again. Did I mention it died in the middle of Interstate 85? Slight safety issue if you ask me, but neither the dealership nor Land Rover seemed terribly concerned. I mean, I could have been hit by a driver doing 80 mph on the interstate, but perhaps the Range Rover makes for a better coffin than mode of transportation. Then the driver from the dealership that was driving my company car damaged the tires and front bumper on his way back to my home driving the vehicle. Then the check engine light began coming on and going off seemingly randomly. Not yet having a permanent tag for the vehicle while experiencing multiple issues in less than a month clearly points to this being a problem vehicle.Through all of this unfortunate experience I did my best to be patient and understanding. Yet it became clear that approach doesn’t work with this dealership or manufacturer. The dealership will lie to you, make promises they won't keep, mislead you and then claim they never made any commitment of the sort. Please save yourself, do not consider purchasing a Land Rover vehicle.I now have possession, only part time since it's in the shop half the time, of a very beautiful and expensive piece of junk that sits in my garage when I do have part time custody because I'm too afraid to be left stranded the next time it dies while I'm driving it. I mean Land Rover does have Roadside Assistance, but that's right, they're only open and available during business hours Monday-Friday so if I am left stranded, I'm on my own. Let's hope I have a signal on my mobile device so I can make contact with someone who cares - apparently that's not Land Rover. DO NOT buy a Land Rover product... That is unless you want to add stress and frustration to your life and a hunk of junk in your garage.

I have the RR Supercharged. I purchased it in Mexico City in 2014 directly from the LR importer (and not any distributor) and actually has 22,585 kilometers, and I sent it to ETB Armoring company, the only company recommended by LR. This RR is in a very BAD condition due to the bad or the worst armoring assembling, everything vibrate and makes a lot a noise and the suspension is in a very bad shape. It looks like a 2 millions kilometers and not +/- 20,000 kilometers. And from the LR Company here in Mexico City NOBODY cares. I called many times. The person in "Charge of Service" by the name of Antonio ** and he did never care. What about the promises that is a millions kilometers SUV?! And the best service EVER? I think they meant NEVER and not ever...

2013 Land Rover Evoque AC compressor does not work. Verified by 2 Independence shops, now facing big repair bill on a almost new car?? The dealer service representative in Peabody MA does not want to honor even a free warranty check up since the car has 60K miles. Really 2-year-old car leased from them has a AC compressor issue? Waste of money and aggravation, car has all kinds of electrical problems all the time.

Worst car EVER!!! Buyer be warned. My car has less than 20k miles on it and I've had more recalls on it than I can count. It's been in the shop constantly. Transmission has blown so many times - once in the middle of a 4 lane highway going 60 mph. Thank God there was a barrier next to me. Electrical issues. You name it. I had an extremely rude employee that I sent a complaint about to the company. They didn't even have the decency to respond to my complaint. For a car I spent over $50k I expect decent customer service.I'm a physician and I've told every colleague I know to absolutely stay away from this terrible brand. I get asked many times how I like my Evoque 2015. I always emphatically tell people to "stay away it's a terrible, terrible car made by a terrible company and you can get something way better for the same price (or less). And you will feel like an actual valued customer." I can't stress how incredibly awful RR is with customer service, quality of product, and overall attitude towards their customers. DO NOT BUY OR LEASE THESE CARS! You WILL regret it.

I am a student in the United States. I wanted to purchase a car from the local retailer in Richmond, Virginia. They refused to sell me a car just because I am a student but I felt it was a race discrimination. They kept asking me from where I am getting my money. I wanted to purchase a car for my own use while I am here in the United States for the duration I am studying. They started asking me personal question like from where will you get your money. For the past three months I have not gotten an answer from them. I went to visit the dealership again but they asked me to provide a 6 months bank statement. I am not sure why would they want one since I am not financing the car (I can't get a finance since I am an international student). They have been giving me a really hard time. There is no law within the United States that would prohibit me from purchasing a car. I currently own a jeep and would really like to add a Range Rover in the family. I hope I can hear from you soon and help me out with this situation.
