I'm in the process of purchasing a used 2004 Nissan Maxima. I have not had the vehicle for thirty days. It needed a wheel alignment in which the dealer said he did. The car jerks when changing gears from reverse to drive. It slips backward a little. The "check engine soon" light came on for three (3) days, then went off. Right now, the only money, I spent at this time is the down payment. What is my legal recourse regarding State lemon laws and/or the Uniform Commercial Code? I have not registered the vehicle in my name as of yet. However, it is due by October 26, 2013. I thought Nissan was a reliable and dependable vehicle, with my experiences and the numerous complaints, I see it is not. Consumer Affairs: This is a dangerous situation and why are you asking us to file a complaint if you are not going to force Nissan to do a recall or fix these consumers' vehicles? The complaints are so similar in nature and what are you doing! Does someone have to be killed or badly injured before you force Nissan to do what is legally the right thing to do? Right now, my confidence level is not high at all for Nissan or Consumer Affairs. We are hard working individuals and cannot afford these repairs and car payments. The consumers are counting on you to force Nissan to be liable for these defects.

I purchased my car about 6 months ago, a Nissan Versa 4-door sedan. My car ran fine up until I went in for scheduled maintenance and the dealer did a CVT reprogram. Now it is vibrating most of the time when idle. It was shaking so bad at one point that I can feel the vibration in my leg when my foot is on the break. Also on my hand when it is on the steering wheel. I only have around 38 k miles on this car. Prior to this update, I was really impressed at how my car performed almost like it was new. Now I am scared and very disappointed to say the least.

2 problems I am having with this car....1.) I will be driving down a freeway for about 20 minutes.... Go to get off freeway and stop at a light.... Wait for light to change and car will not go over 2-3 mph for about 30-45 seconds then all of a sudden jumps up to 15 mph from my foot being on the gas pedal which has almost caused a few car accidents. 2.) I recently moved to California from Arizona and on my trips back and forth, the car after an hour of driving will all of a sudden slow down from 80 mph to 35-45 mph in a 75 mph speed zone. Happens going up hills even the slightest incline in the road and once you go down hill it will slowly start to speed up.I drive around with 2 children in the car ages 4 and 5.... This is so beyond dangerous and blows my mind that Nissan will not do ** about it. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships, mechanics and everyone says... "I don't know what it is." I even took my iPad in showing a YouTube video of a gentleman that was driving having the same problem!!! And they still said, "I don't know." I am beyond pissed and want a class action lawsuit against Nissan for having defaulted vehicles out there and not doing anything about it. Go online and it's page after page of people having the same issue. Nissan get off your lazy ass and fix this problem!!

I had horrible experience with Nissan Dealers in Atlanta, First of all, Their treatment is Lowest & never bothered about customer views. Sat down for 3/4 Hours & they even did not offer water. At least they asked us to sit. The second thing is about pricing. Over the phone, they told us that price for leasing the Nissan Leaf S model with Quick charge about $260 per month without VPP. After talking to them, they told us that price gone up to $363 per month. They wasted our complete Saturday with precious time for us since schools are opening on Monday. I want some senior officials from Nissan USA to look into this matter. You cannot cheat customers like this. I decided I will never buy/Lease any Nissan car in Future.

Don't Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesn't work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

So I just bought a 2015 Nissan Rogue. I gave it its first bath. I went to flip the wipers up and lo and behold when I did so the wiper hits the hood! I opened hood to see if that was somehow the problem. It was to no avail. So now every time I clean or scrape snow from the windshield and want to lock them upright, I can't. Not without turning on my car, turning it off and hitting the wiper stick twice... I guess, I read this in a forum. I have yet to see if it works and even so quite annoying. Also difficult to do when it's locked up in ice and snow. So beware snow dwelling Rouge owners!

So, I had a broken coil spring on my 2009 Versa. I contacted my dealer and told him that my car only had 75k miles, and I thought it was crazy that a coil spring should break with so few miles. I am close to 70 years old, and I drive responsibly, avoiding pot holes etc. I was told by the dealer that this was not covered and it would cost me $450.00 to replace the springs. Being on a fixed income, I thought that was outrageous. I then called Nissan and filed a report, and a factory rep did check into it and again I was denied compensation of any kind. After much searching I finally found the coil springs on sale for $57.42 each, from another Nissan dealer. I also purchased the rubber seats for the top and bottom of each spring for $21.20. So, with parts, sales tax, and shipping my total cost was $147.32. I asked one of my family members if he could install the on my car and he said it would be easy, being that only one bolt needed to be removed before installing the rubber seats and springs. I left the car with him and within one hour he called me and said it was done. WHAT, that quick? He said that it was an easy job, and it only took him about 15 minutes to install both springs. I tried to pay him $50 and he said he didn't want to take advantage of me and handed $30 back to me. So I saved $282.68 that I would have had to pay to Nissan for the same work! I also should mention that my step son said he would like to do about 20 of these coil spring jobs a week. They were that easy! I understand that companies need to make a profit, but come on, this is over the top! This experience has turned me from a extremely satisfied customer to a skeptic about future work to be performed by the dealership.

I purchased a vehicle because I thought it was a sound economical choice and a practical car comparable in functionality to a Toyota or Honda. I was absolutely wrong. Not only do things begin to break and fall apart pre-maturely, but basic maintenance is almost impossible due to the poor construction and parts used on the vehicle. No one, including dealerships carry the parts for this 2012 Nissan Versa. There's no such thing as being able to buy a new battery from AAA because they won't have it, I can't get the transmission fluid changed because Jiffy Lube can't get to it, I can't get my brakes changed at Firestone because they don't have the random, cheap parts the Versa requires. I didn't buy a car in this price point to be forced to take it to a Nissan dealership for maintenance and have them take a full day or longer to fiddle around with no better information or resources than the next auto mechanics shop.Of course Nissan Corporate heard from me and took no interest in my problems with their product. I just wished they cared more. I put my toddler in that car knowing it's not the safest but forced to continue using it until I'm presented with an opportunity to be rid of it. I feel like I got duped by Nissan's misleading marketing and branding campaign that they are reliable vehicles. It would be nice if Nissan had more integrity. Will never purchase another Nissan or refer them to someone shopping for a car.

I purchased my 2011 Nissan Rogue and have experienced this: The car only has 54k miles on it and it blew a head gasket. There were no warnings... The temp gauge went up to high and then the car wouldn't start... Plenty of fluid was in the car. The car was towed to the dealership where I purchased the car. This repair was covered under warranty. The dealership said they consulted Nissan and because it was caused by a cracked radiator the cost were not covered. The estimated cost was 2100-2400.I did some research to find that this is a problem with the radiator leaking up and causing a head gasket to blow. The dealership did work on my car hoping to sell it and place me in another vehicle. This didn't happen because I owe 15k on the car and repair cost of 3000 now to 3500 to fix car. The owners will not release my car until I pay this bill and I never signed anything to do this repair. I had to pay dealership 2100 to get my car back in "Cash" and I go to drive the car off lot and the car is slipping and making a horrible noise. The oil was extremely low and the car runs like crap. This has been going on for 5 weeks. I do not know what to do.

I financed my car December 2015 and on April 1st 2017 my car broke down on my after stopping at a stop sign. It was a Saturday at 5pm so no service centers were opened and my car read a warning Chassis Control Error see owner manual. Well when you looked in the manual all it read was to contact Nissan. Have my car towed to Nissan 24 on Monday morning where I found out there was a recall on the CVT Transmission. I was informed that day that my transmission has given out on me. They told me they don't know what caused it but it COULD have been because I only replaced one tire on my AWD vehicle. Town Fair Tire told me I didn't need to replace all. Should I replace all four tires every time I receive a flat??? Then he said that they received failed codes on the transmission. My issue is why after 16 months of having a vehicle does the transmission go. I did the proper maintenance, so I just called Nissan Consumer to see if Nissan will take the car back. I feel like I was given a dud. I used to drive a 2009 Nissan Cube but after 6 years the transmission went on that too so I feel like these car are being made with poor parts. This will be the last Nissan I purchase.
