Product Reviews:
The dashboard of our 2007 Lexus 350 RX is cracking. Now chunks of the dashboard are following out. We contacted Lexus and were denied any help in fixing the dash even though they know that the materials used were defective. We are extremely disappointed.Barbara of Venice, FL

There were a lot of choices, same car different packages. There's a type of car for every type of person, however, it's more of a luxury brand. It's a mid-size level sedan and it has good dependability. It is also roomy and fits the standard sedan passenger size. Three in the back and one passenger up front. There's also good leg room for all passengers. The car looks nice on the outside, my hybrid came with wood trim and dark brown on the inside. This did not match too well with blue exterior color. There are very few packages available for my hybrid selection and only one available for what I was purchasing. It had to be shipped from another dealer and took a week.Calvin of Asbury Park, NJ

Lexus offers sedans and sport utility vehicles. They are reliable performance vehicles. They have good service and sales, plus fairly honest technical support. Car has modern amenities, and variety of colors options. Lexus offers gasoline, hybrid and electric and fuel cell engine options. The cars are roomy, with safety features standard, and interior fabric choices. There are several options and modifying factors allow customization like power steering, seatings, mirrors. Programmable features voice recognition. Map and entertainment system good. Plus there is a large passenger capacity. Passengers are as comfortable in seating as driver. Temp control regional, there is a wide access to entertainment features, and there are power seats and windows.Jeff of Buena Park, CA

I bought the car in February of 2005. Today the mileage is 87,000. Besides tires and a brake job the car has not been out of service. Start each and every time and has had zero problems. The seats are still in perfect shape, no rattles or strange noises. Fit and finish are still in perfect shape.Frederick of Chappaqua, NY

I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreen's parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didn't work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.Henry of Fort Lauderdale, FL

Do Not Buy a Lexus with Parchment Leather. Color in our ES 350 seat bolster was gone at 23K miles, picture should be attached. Yet color in our older RX 350 is still perfect at 73K miles. The ES 350 is under factory warranty. Contacted both the selling dealership and Corporate Customer Service, and they basically "Take a hike." Been Lexus customers since 1993, but that has now ended.Michael of Erie, PA

I have been driving Lexus RX series since 2004 and Germain Lexus of Dublin Ohio is my dealer that I dealt with all those years. Just recently, I returned my leased 2017 RX350 and purchased 2020 RX350L. The deal was to forgive me for all remaining payments on my lease and to forgive me for the excessive mileage. Everything was verbally and was not in writing. Once I got my new 2020 RX350L, few weeks later I received an invoice from Lexus Financial Services to pay for excessive mileage. I called Lexus Financial Services and said the deal was to forgive me, they said, "You have to contact Germain dealership and remind them to pay us the bill," I did and the sales manager I dealt with said that the deal was I have to pay for excessive mileage. I am 100% positive that he is not correct but unfortunately, there is nothing in writing to proof my case. I wrote a complaint on Germain’s website but no one contacted me, I also left a voicemail for the General Manager but he didn't return my call.My advice is to get every promise in writing before you sign anything.FOUAD of Dublin, OH

In June of 2014, I leased a new 2014 Lexus GS350 F-Sport. Well starting around 1700 miles the car started having issues such as warped rotors and the rear power sunshade decided when to retract and deploy on its own. Then a couple of months later, the real issues started with the car. I would go to get into the car but it wouldn't start. The engine would act like it would turn over and start but it wouldn't. Sometimes it took up to 10 tries to get the car started. Sometimes it just would go to accessory mode without even attempting to start. So needless to say, the car has been back and forth to the dealer for multiple electrical problems. Here are the biggest examples: Obviously, the non-starting issue. The power retractable steering wheel and power seat took me on a wild ride while driving down the road. The power rear sunshade still has a mind of its own. The Lexus Parking Assist senses things are there when nothing is actually there and then sometimes they decide not to work at all. My Navigation System crashing and rebooting while driving. Horrible squealing with the brakes, etc. The car has been in and out of the service department for all the electrical issues and they can't find the reason for the car not starting or any of the other electrical issues. The car only has about 7600 miles on it and it's currently in the shop since May 11, 2015. I'm getting quite annoyed and concerned that Lexus would produce a $60,000 vehicle with these types of problems. They are known for their reliability, craftsmanship, safety, and state of the art cars -- I beg to differ. I am just waiting to hear back from the dealership to get the next excuse of why they couldn't fix the car. Needless to say, this is my first and last Lexus. I just want Lexus or the Lexus dealership to buy back this horrific lemon of a car and give me my down payment back. There are better options out there.Charles of Jacksonville, FL

Am trying to assist a friend who owns an RX300 and was appalled by what she told me about her trans. problems. I own a 2005 Toyota Matrix (same co., same Ivory Tower board of directors). HELLO!!!!! And I've been beyond appalled by what I've read on the internet about inexcusable DEFECTS of Lexus products. I also am beginning to have trans. issues, so now I am doubly concerned! I am a "CAR GUY" and give quite a few people advice on WHAT TO BUY. From what I've read in just the last few days on the internet, I've just put Lexus on my DO NOT BUY LIST!! It is time for CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS; as was mentioned by the complaint I last read 5 min. ago. N.B. after several days of reading complaint after complaint, finally someone mentioned CLASS ACTION! PLEASE someone out there respond to this plea for help so we can get the ball rolling.Mike of Costa Mesa, CA
