If you're thinking of buying a Stinger...DON'T! Multiple defects, 4 recalls ALREADY, rust coming through paint and chrome. All around bad decision when I bought this car. Save the hassle, save your money and buy a different brand of car. Managers and service department cannot seem to communicate so I'm hiring an attorney to get my money back for this overpriced piece of metal. Paint job really sucks. I have cracked paint from front windshield to back windshield and was told not to wash the car! Are you kidding me? Most expensive car I've ever owned and I can't even wash it?! I'm so done! Took my car to Kia East Syracuse for warranty service. Was told car needed to be kept overnight while they waited for a part. Was called next day. Salesman stated following: “Hi Rose, we just found out your part won’t be in until the first week in October, and your lease happens to end the first week in October. Why don't you come in and get a new lease vehicle." I stated I would not be purchasing a new vehicle. The service department is stating they don't have a loaner car for me, they want me to go almost three weeks without a vehicle. I contacted Kia Corporate and they state that they can't help, since the dealer is claiming they don't have a car they can offer as a loaner. They stated they could possibly rent me a car, but they need a manager to authorize and that takes 48 hours. I've never heard of a car company doing warranty work on a car where the part takes 3 weeks to procure and will not offer a loaner car to drive. Not the happy Kia experience I see in their commercials. Won’t buy another Kia and neither will my family members unless they can make this right.

Performance and customer service from dealership: I was never given a chance to drive my New 2012 Kia Rio by the salesperson. Being a woman, I felt they took advantage of me. No test drive, who does that. It was a cash sale. Yes, that's right. I shelled out a cool $ 19,924.05 and now, I am getting treated like crap by the local dealership. I was not told there was not a spare in the trunk. So all this time I 'm driving around thinking it was a spare not a box and a small compressor that doesn't work. It took me having a flat on a cold snowy day with my baby in my car. They refused to send a courtesy shuttle for me and kept giving me the run around. I then called for roadside service which showed up 1 hour later. I could change the tire and the hole was too big to fix with the so-called repair kit, what a joke. That is just one issue. Second complaint, the gas mileage is not what the sticker price claimed. I spent too much on gas with that car. And third complaint is the car drives lousy and rough, it doesn't even drive like a new car, no smoothness, and I feel and hear every bump in the road. It has a pull and drives real slow and doesn't take a hill at all. The car has no power at all. What liars to get a sale. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Poor service and no care for the customer now that they have got my hard earned money. Do I take a loss and trade or just sell the car out right and go to another dealership? I knew I should have gone to Ford. I guess you live and learn you people are real jerks. Now, they have my car that was towed to them. They have no tires on hand and had to order one at my expense, $100.00 to be exact. And, they refused to give me loaner car until this issue could be resolved, but I raised so much beef with them they finally obliged me and gave me a used Sonata to drive. That is the least you could have done. Do I sue or wait and see what Kia is going to do about my car. Twice they tell me nothing is wrong with the car, I drive it daily and I know that there is. I even had my son fly in from Virginia to drive it. I figured maybe it was operator error. Wrong, it is that cheap made car which should have been recalled in my book. The overall performance is shabby to say the least and has no high quality performance and for a 2012, it drives like it is 6 years old or more.

KIA Picanto 2016 Don't trust KIA Motors! The first technical problem that occurred with the KIA was in August, the car was taken to the KIA service in order to fix the problem. I was told that the problem had been entirely fixed and would not happen again. However, after a month the exact same problem occurred. The car completely stopped in the middle of the road and the steering wheel locked making it impossible for me to move the car somewhere safe. I had two young children in the back and this situation could have easily caused an extremely serious accident with not just myself and my family but others on the road.The car was taken to the KIA service in order to fix the same problem once again. This exact same problem has now occurred three times and each time it has caused me an overwhelming deal of stress, money and time. I am extremely frustrated and angry with this entire situation, the problem had supposedly been dealt with, I am not comfortable driving this car anymore as it is clearly not up to road safety standards and would never want to risk putting the life of my children or others on the road in any kind of danger.

I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento back in November of 2017. After seeing the vehicle had been well maintained on the Carfax and it had low mileage of around 75,000 I felt confident the vehicle would be a reliable long term purchase for me and my family. Now just months later in May 2018 the vehicle spontaneously shut down while driving last week. Fortunately for me I on road with parking lot I could safely roll into and stop. This may not be the case if this happens to another vehicle who may be on a high traffic interstate, high speed roadways, etc. After having it towed to the local Kia dealership I am being told it needs an entire new engine. After a little research, I noticed a Kia Sorento engine failure recall for 2012-2014 due to poor engine manufacturing assembly from leaving debris in engine. After contacting Kia consumer affairs I was told my VIN was not included in this recall. However, they settled on covering half of the $4,000+ repair.If they know they are at fault, why not pay repair in entirety? They claim it is not covered under a warranty and I am ‘fortunate’ they covered as much as they did. I just wanted to educate anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. Steer clear of Kia or Hyundai products unless you can justify buying a new engine before 90,000 miles. I am now going on my THIRD week of having to pay for a rental vehicle because Sorento is still is not repaired. Between the weekly vehicle rental fees, time and hassle, towing fees and the unpronounced $2,000+ for an engine repair I am beyond frustrated at the lack of customer safety concern and service. Please share this to friends and family. Even if this helps just one person not have to go through this situation in the future it was worth my time writing and sharing it.

So, this is the newest car I've ever owned. Being 22, I finally established enough credit to buy a nicer car for myself! Yay! I've only had my Rio for about six months. It's a 2013, so there's still a warranty left. Smooth sailing until my baby took a turn for the worst. My engine started making a knocking noise and I broke down 40 miles from home. Panicking, I wasn't sure what to do (as I've never dealt with warranty issues). I then looked into my owner's manual to see that I have roadside assistance! They stayed on the line with me, asked me if I was okay, and asked me if I had a way home (which I did). Eventually they towed the car to the nearest dealership. The dealership called me the next day letting me know that the engine had blown. My heart literally sank into the ground. He said he would put in a claim to Kia to fix up my little red car. I called everyday for a week, and the service manager hadn't heard anything back. So finally I called into corporate to see what was going on. They told me that they had trainees in the department that handles those things that were just getting the hang of things there and apologized for my wait. The next day I hear back from the service manager of my local dealership telling me that Kia approved my warranty claim because my car was well maintained, that I can pick up my rental car, and my Kia is getting fixed this week! Although having no car for week was kind of inconvenient, I understand that customer service can be kinda rough sometimes, especially with trainees. All in all I'm happy that Kia took care of me. We bought a new Kia Soul from Doug Smith Kia in American Fork, UT on Dec 31, 2014. Drove home to Texas and noticed a rhythmic, vibrating, humming noise when we cruised at highway speeds. Possibly this is some kind of harmonic balance problem. It has gotten a bit worse as we have driven the car. It now has 2000 miles on the odometer. Took the car to local Kia dealer in Amarillo, Tx, Pete's Car Smart, and although the two head mechanics rode with me and clearly heard and felt the problem, they could not make a diagnosis. They had the car for three days, said they had calls into the Kia engineering tech dept., but could not get help. They had me drive another brand new Soul right off of the truck, and it did the same thing. The head mechanic rode with me and he heard and felt it, too. We are not sure what course of action to take now.

I have gotten no help or updates from either the Moritz Kia in Hurst or heard back from anyone from your office. I'm now being told by the dealership (18 Sep, 2015) that the vehicle is not cover under the 100k miles warranty! I would need to pay $1999.94 to get my car out. Why was this information not convey to me prior to all this work and time being spent on the car? If this was communicated to me ahead of time, I would have had my local mechanic correct your issue in less than a week for less the half the price. When the mechanic opened the hood did he not noticed the radiator had been replaced?Just so I have the sequence of event correctly stated: 02 August 2015, my vehicle overheated, with all ORIGINAL equipment. I have towing receipt. Vehicle has been in dealership since 05 August. 21 September 2015, I was told KIA will not Honor 100K mile warranty because I had replaced the original radiator that had leaked (AFTER the engine overheated). I never experienced such bad customer service. Bad practice... First and last time I will buy a KIA.
