Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota. The Lexus brand is marketed in more than 90 countries and territories worldwide and is Japan's largest selling make of premium cars. It has ranked among the 10 largest Japanese global brands in market value. Lexus is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan.

The 2020 LC is a stunning example of contemporary design, with sleek bodywork and subtle details that wouldn't be out of place on a concept car. While the Lexus sports car has a hefty curb weight and an uninspired hybrid powertrain, it also has a mighty V-8 that sounds great and one of the nicest interiors on the planet. The only other warts on this vehicular beauty are a frustrating infotainment system and a small trunk. Still, the LC is the most desirable Lexus in a long time. It accelerates on command and drives with a feeling of solidity. The 2020 LC could be lighter and a little more athletic, but it's guaranteed to make its driver look and feel like a star.

Product Reviews:

The dashboard on my Lexus IS 250 model 2006 is literally melting. You put your hand on top and you can actually see your full hand print on the dashboard. During hot sunny day, the melting dashboard gives a shinning glare on the windscreen which actually shines in your eyes, blinding you while driving.During hot Florida summer days while driving with the windows up, the melting dashboard plastic is probably releasing toxins, who knows? The car has only 31,000 miles and the car is already in workshop to replace the GPS screen. Luckily, I had extended warranty which will cover the GPS, but not the dashboard. I talked to the company about the dashboard and they will only supply the parts but not cover the labor cost which is over $700. It's not the cost of labor that angers me but the fact that they agree that the product they used was faulty and still, not do the right thing to take full responsibility and cover the total cost.

I purchase a 2010 RX350 in October 2009. When the year came around, I needed to have my navigation system updated. I was told that I have to purchase a disk for $199. This is a luxury vehicle and you want the buyer to pay that kind of money for an update. Cars of lesser luxury like Lexus are giving their customers free update for at least 3 years. I would like to have at least a free update before you ask me to pay for one. I am paying enough for the car as it is, and this is the treatment you give me?

Lexus had a major recall on the dash and replaced it. I just wish they would have done that from the start instead of giving us the runaround.

I'm very disappointed on how Lexus is handling the recall on my NX 300 2019. I felt that no one in either dealership or Customer Service are willing to assist us. Currently they only providing a $35 a day rental car to replace my NX 300 until Lexus figure out the problem and find the resolutions. First Lexus should have not sold any cars that are not quality controlled and tested. Currently I have to settle to drive a Ford while paying for a Lexus car; this does not make any sense at all. The least Lexus can do is to provide us with another Lexus car that are safe to drive.

I have never had any problems with my Lexus. Aside from changing the tires, it has been a very reliable car. I have ALWAYS kept my car in my garage. About 2 years ago, the dash starting showing strange signs of razor-like slashes running throughout the dashboard. I had been going through many changes at that time, and did not bring it to the dealership when it first started occurring. Now, I have moved and the razor-like slashes have turned into the dash literally crumbling off!!!!! I brought my car to the dealership in Metairie, Louisiana and was told there that this was not considered a defect and it would cost me $2000 to repair. I called Lexus Corporate and spoke to a man named Ed on extension ** and he basically told me the same thing. "Out of warranty, car too old, not a defect, sorry can't help you." I am so upset about this because I have always bragged about the fact that Lexus was the best car I have ever owned. I know people who have cars older than mine and don't have this problem. Has this happened to anyone out there? Were you able to get it fixed by Lexus? Help!!

Radio panel where you see radio stations and the camera for backing up just continuously flickers and strobes. Sometimes it stays clear of 5 minutes then for no reason starts flicker again. Very distracting and dangerous when driving especially at night. No response from Lexus and dealers claim no knowledge but happy to sell me a new car. Issue is well tracked on the internet. Not the brand it used to be. Never again.

At 80,000 miles my car just all of a sudden went into safety mode also known as limp mode. Three lights flashed on my dash and I could not go over 35 mph. My Lexus dealer is 3 hours away. I called them they told me to drive to my local Toyota dealer which I did. They told me that my secondary fuel was broken and the cost was $2300. They see this all the time I was told. The Tundra truck has the same issue and Toyota extended the warranty from 50,000 miles to 150,000 miles. Lexus has not extended their warranty. (I was told because it was a LUXURY vehicle and the owners normally don't keep the cars long unlike Tundra owners whom keep the vehicle for a long time.) I submitted a claim to Lexus and I was called and told my claim was rejected. I was told they are still using these same engines in both models as of today! When I pulled out of my neighborhood going into the median cutting thru 55 mile an hour traffic, I expected my vehicle to have the pick up it normally had. When I went to pull it, I had NO power. I could have been T-boned very easy and not here to tell why I had no pick up. Lucky for me the traffic was very thin that day. I feel this issue is a MAJOR safety issue and needs to be addressed. This is my first and last LEXUS vehicle. I will never buy another!!!

My daughter bought a used 2009 Lexus RX350 18 months ago from CarMax. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle she received a recall notice from Lexus that dashboard needs to be replaced due to cracking. She took her car to the local Lexus dealer in Tampa last July and was told that dashboards were back ordered and they would notify her when her replacement arrived. Within weeks cracks started to appear in her dash. Foam started popping thru the dash. My daughter is in sales and frequently transports clients. Her clients are senior executives at major corporations. They all commented negatively about the dashboard. She has heard that she should have bought a (substitute Audi to VW) as she has heard them all.Her luxury car has become the running joke within her office. She has just been transferred to Houston and isn't taking the car with her as she would have to go the Local Houston dealer and start the waiting process all over again re-registering for the replacement dashboard. She just sold her car back to CarMax for 60% less than she paid for it ($15,000 loss) as they were the only buyer for the car with the volcanic dash.Lexus customer service has been unresponsive responding that the dashes have been slow to ship from Japan and that their hands are tied. Are we really supposed to believe that it takes more than ten months for a dash to ship from Japan? I believe that Lexus isn't taking this recall seriously as they know that the longer they put off replacing the dashboards the less the recall will cost them as cars will be totaled or sold and some owners will simply give up. I have owned 14 Toyota cars and 7 Lexus cars as I am in sales and trade cars at least every two years. I pointed this out to Lexus but they did not care. They point a finger at the dealers and the dealers point a finger at Lexus. The reality is that they are both giving owners the middle finger.

Showed the service writer Jaime at Pembroke Pines Lexus the center console covering that was cracking and degrading. He wrote up a service order and told me he would contact me in a few days regarding a warranty claim. I called him a week later and he told me that the person that handles warranty claims went on vacation and would be back in a week. I went away and after I returned I called him on February 5th or so. He said he had not heard anything but he would contact the appropriate people and have an answer for me by day's end. I told him if I did not hear from him I would be calling Lexus. He assured me he would call that day. I never heard from him.I called Lexus USA and spoke to Ed. He said he would check into it and get back to me by Friday. I missed his call on Friday. He called Tuesday and informed me that as the dealer had told me, the damage as normal wear and tear. I just told him that my family had 4 Lexus automobiles and they would be our last. When you sell a car for $75,000, the interior should last more than 3 years. My previous car was a 2003 Cadillac, cost 1/2 as much and when I bought the Lexus the center console was in better shape after eight years of use than the Lexus is after 3 years. By the way, Ed from Lexus offered to pay for 1/2 the repair. As far as I am concerned the Lexus warranty is only a 1/2 warranty shown by this situation.
