Product Reviews:
I purchased my Night Armor colored Frontier new in 2011. It wasn't until after my paint began to flake off the front fender wells, that I researched online and found this to be a long standing problem with Nissan Frontiers. I expected the paint to fade and lose its luster over time but to have the paint just completely flake off is something I wasn't prepared for. The exterior of my truck was detailed on a regular basis that consisted of washing, clay bar, sealant and waxing and yet my paint is flaking off, along with rust in the water channels on the roof. This without a doubt is a manufacturer's defect in the paint process or the paint itself that Nissan refuses to acknowledge. Toyota has a similar issue on some of their vehicles but they have gone as far as extending the paint warranty to 14 yrs for all of its customers, kudos Toyota. There is no indication that the problem has been resolved on the 2022 Frontier model... BUYER BEWARE. This is a clear indication why they are losing market share... Nissan has lost me as a repeat customer!!!c of Chester, VA

We bought a Qashqai late last year with 68 registration and for the second time in short space of time, my car refuses to start this morning. I was told by RAC man the last time that there was a fault in the car - something was draining the battery. I took the car to Nissan garage afterward for diagnostics and fixture, after which I was assured that the problem had been fixed. To my amazement, my car refuses to start this morning and We had the same problem with our previous Nissan Juke. I will never buy a Nissan car again!Lara of Other, Other

Highly recommend you reconsider ever doing business with this company because they 100% do not care about customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, customer problems with their vehicles... Won't work with you to find a solution when they sell you a faulty product. Do NOT abide by their customer warranties. It's been 9 months of absolute hell with a brand new 2020 Altima. Completely appalled at the atrocities this company allows. Had so many repetitive issues they failed to fix and their only solution was that I trade it in so they could get MORE money from me! Completely disgusted with the dealership, consumer affairs and arbitrations.Danielle of Siler City, NC

Saturday June 28, I went to drive to our community days festival when I started hearing a noise as if I was dragging something medal under my 2010 Nissan Titan Pro 4X with 26263 miles. I got out and found nothing under my truck but I definitely was not going to keep driving it. Monday morning I called my Nissan dealerships in the area and was told the soonest any of them could look at it was from a week to a month from now, so I called Nissan consumer affairs, got a case #** took it to my local mechanic and we found the parking brake assy was blown apart and jammed inside the rotor. I've been calling Nissan for the past 2 days and haven't got a response or call back. So if this is how they handle a repeat customer I will be going to another auto manuf when I need a new truck or car next time.Tony of New Kensington, PA

Extremely poor customer service from Nissan UK after reporting numerous faults on my new car (Nissan Note). The local dealer has done their best with no support from the manufacturer. The car has the following problems - front wings have been changed after painting. Windscreen trims loose and fell off. Drive belt replaced due to slipping. Front window trims NS/OS not fitting. Front NS seat base cover keeps coming off. Water leaks into rear OS footwell caused by two seam welds being missed in manufacturing a damaged air vent and dented body panel. Air conditioning pump leaking and no gas but very noisy. I would definitely recommend staying clear of a new Nissan of any type.Andrew of Dorchester, Other

I want to know if anyone else is having a problem with their Rogue not accelerating in the expressway. I was driving back from Alabama to Atlanta yesterday evening and took my foot off the gas pedal briefly and as I tried to give my car gas, the car wouldn't go pass 40 miles per hour per speedometer. I almost had an accident with my child in my car trying to pull over from the left lane to get to the emergency lane. After waiting two hours for the road side assistance to locate me, my car was towed to the nearest dealership. I finally was able to get it back to Atlanta that same night. No check engine light came on at all. The car seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealership to be check and was informed that I need a new transmission.Sherry of Riverdale, GA

I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if "satisfied customers" were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it "didn't matter" or that there was "nothing to worry about". There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from "Vital Recovery Services", apparently the "go-to" creditors for "Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp" in the amount of $200-$250. I called "Vital Recovery Services" and was informed that there was "Excessive Damage" to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from "Vital Recovery Services". This was the 1st letter I received from "Vital Recovery Services". I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with "Vital Recovery Services", that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships don't have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldn't from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of "owing" Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldn't have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. It's bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received "collection letter" STILL didn't remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long "review" of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. I'm dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it "fixed". Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.January of Elmwood Park, IL

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car "UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION." Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was "the front sensor was dirty." Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I don't want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesn't come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesn't make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.Anahit of Panorama City, CA

I have done business with Nissan Motors for the past 6 years. I recently turned in my Lease for a 2010 Nissan Maxima. After near 45 days, I received a bill for $1600 for excessive wear and tear. I have never seen such a high bill and even when I turned my car to dealership, they mentioned this was one of the cleanest cars they ever got back. When I called Nissan Acceptance, they started saying you should review the contract and should have done a 3rd party inspection before giving the car back. They claim they sent me a letter too... but I never got anything. All I got was phone calls asking me to release another Nissan. I have leased vehicles before and this is the shadiest process. Good luck to Nissan as I will ensure none of my friends will get a Nissan anymore... Awesome customer service... Way to go Nissan...Vijay of Westland, MI

Since November I have been to the dealership 8 times. The last time, they kept my car for almost a month. My vehicle is still bucking and sliding all over the road. I have a 2012 rogue. My folder is 2 inches thick listing the repairs they supposedly did on my vehicle including a new transmission. I do not feel safe. I don't know what to do. I picked it up Friday, January 2 after dropping it off to them on December 2nd and today it started doing it again on my way to work. Someone please help me. I am a single mother and don't want to hit ice or snow when my car does this because I lose all control of my vehicle and would be involved in an accident. Someone please point me in the right direction or the right Nissan garage. It has primarily been at Lia Nissan of Saratoga and was once looked at Destination Nissan. Thank you.carrie of Loudonville, NY
