I have a 2013 VW Tiguan in mint condition except for the paint, it's fading or discoloring. See my photos attached. I am absolutely totally upset about this and paying $500 a month car payment to look at this everyday. I talked to the dealer in Orlando FL and no help whatsoever. They referred me to VW USA and I spoke to them and put a claim in only to tell me that I don't have any issues with my paint. As you can see in the photos attached there is a clear picture of the discoloration. I feel VW is being unfair as this is their branding and being negligent with their warranty not the paint.

The intake manifold has failed on my boyfriend's 2010 CC sport. This part has an extended 10 year/120,000 mi warranty on it. His vehicle is just outside of that warranty in mileage (121,500) and they won't do anything to ease the cost of replacing part. The whole reason they extended the warranty was because they expected the part to fail within 10 years, and it's definitely less than 10 years old. Because other car manufacturers would take this into consideration and do some type of prorate of split the difference in parts & labor or something of the like, we called and asked them to do this. And they just don't care. No reason to build brand loyalty, I guess. Every time we've had to deal with them, it has been a head ache - the Takata airbag recall for instance. My mom has a Honda. Honda gave her a rental until they could fix the problem because it is unsafe to drive at the risk of having a collision and being pumped full of shrapnel from your airbags. She got her car back, fixed, 2 weeks ago, though she was in a rental for about a month. When we called VW about it then best response that we could get was why it's safe to continue driving it around. Or how the NHTSA doesn't find it unsafe. The funny thing is, I research EVERYTHING. And according to everything I found, the NHTSA is who demanded the recall. VW responded with a letter as to why they should be exempt from it. The recall was issued in 2014, and VW just started recalling in February 2016. Shame on this company for caring so little about its drivers & for being so reckless with consumers' lives in general. VERY disappointing. If you want reliability, you may want to go with a less expensive vehicle as they seem to have a better attitude and overall view of customer service.

I own a 2013 GTI and in November 2015 the water pump started leaking fluid. After taking the car to the VW dealership, I was informed there was a recall on the water pump and it was replaced. Fast forward to 2017; the water pump that was replaced in 2015 starting leaking (having found this out after taking the GTI back to VW). I informed the service department that water pump was replaced due to a recall. They preceded to locate when the water pump had been replaced. The service department contact Volkswagen checking to see they would pay for repairs since the water pump was replaced due to the recall...Volkswagen would only pay half of the bill. I contacted Volkswagen, stating that evidently the water pumps are faulty if only after 14 months after installation the water pump requires replacement again. The representative that was helping me, advised she contacted someone at Volkswagen and that is all they would do. I told her again... after only 14 months and the water pump is being replaced again, that tells me that Volkswagen water pumps are faulty!

I have a 2013 VW Hybrid which now needs it THIRD transmission. (1st 2 transmission @ 60+K) I contacted the Regional Manager, Jake ** who stated that all they “VW” can do for me is lower the price from 7100. to 6400. As per Jake ** his supervisor Sharon ** stands behind that decision. VW put a BAD product on the market and refuse to be an Honorable Co. and take responsibility for fixing the transmission. The CEO Hinrich J. Woebcken needs to be made aware that this is unethical. VW was a huge disappointment, totally ruined by perception of the company and the product.

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan bad experience. The Volkswagen Tiguan is the worst experience in my life. Since I bought the car after 3 months nothing but problems. The dealership gave me the customer service for Volkswagen to complaint but they did not do anything about it. I am going to trade this car. Never in my life I would never purchase another Volkswagen. The worst experience. Stay away from Volkswagen.

Volkswagen Taiguan 2016 with push button start will drain the battery to zero by itself. I turned off the car by pushing the button and left the car parked in the daylight. At night the car automatically turned on the headlights and drained the battery. I was stranded the next morning and had to call roadside assist. This is the most stupid thing on the car. With only 175 miles I had to call assistance because the car turned on its own lights while parked. The tow truck driver said I was the fifth Taiguan he had jump started because of this problem. VW needs to correct this. If the driver touches the kill button twice, or bumps it while getting out of the car the ignition will go on after the engine is shut off and will eventually turn the lights on leaving you stranded. Never use Auto Lights on this car.

After having issues with our dashboard lights going crazy, we began reading other complaints online. We learned that the issues we were having came directly from a faulty ABS module, and then came across a VW recall on our car for the ABS module. After talking to VW's Recall Department, they told us it did indeed fall under the specific recall, and we could take it into any dealer for a fix. Our car went in on a Tuesday morning, and after 3 days of poor customer service and no answers, the mechanic let us know the ABS Module would not be covered, and we would have to pay out of pocket. He said he had even called VW directly to verify they wouldn't pay for it. We were then quoted $1300 for the repair, plus a $225 diagnostic test. He suggested I call them directly.I called the VW Recall Department again, and told them what happened. I let them know my biggest concern was the fact that they told us our car was part of this recall, and they were now unwilling to fix the issue. I also let them know the ABS brakes have always caused me issues, nearing killing me when I lost control while braking once. They said they would write it up, and look into it and get back to me in one business day. I am waiting to hear back, but there has been a lot of reason to think they will just use some excuse to not replace something so dangerous and faulty. We'll see.

One year ago I decided to buy a used VW. People often said, "Very expensive to repair," but I heard they drive well, so took a shot. Not only are they expensive to repair but when dealing with VW customer service over what should have been a simple warranty issue, I can wholeheartedly say that I would NEVER in my right mind recommend this car manufacturer to any of my friends or family. It took VW nearly two months (and several callbacks) to come to the conclusion that they weren't covering this issue, too. Ridiculous. Anyway, there's my public rant. Buy a used VW at your own risk and don't trust them to back their own warranties.

I was driving my 2002 Volkswagen Passat when the "Stop Engine oil pressure" light came on. I had my car towed to Maple Hill Auto Group, my authorized Volkswagen dealership and was told that this would cost me between $2400-$3300 to repair. In doing further investigation, I found out that it was a known problem with my make and model. There was a class action suit against Volkswagen and they extended the warranty.I am 5595 miles over the extended warranty on a fixed income and basically screwed as I can not afford to fix this. I am not asking them to replace my tires just fix a known problem with my engine which is no falt of mine but that of the manufacturer who has declined to help me.

I purchased a new 2010 Golf TDI a few years ago. My first VW ever after owning everything from Mercedes to Scion. I've been impressed by the comfort, performance, and fuel mileage. My problem started about six months ago when, without warning, the car failed to start. Checked all typical causes with no success. After the cost and inconvenience of a tow to the dealership it sat there for several days. They were unable to find the cause of the problem as it started for them. They charged me $105 for the privilege of doing nothing.Fast forward to a few days ago, exactly the same symptoms as before, no start. Towed to the dealership an entire day wasted waiting. The car gets to the dealership and the mechanic goes to look at it and it starts.... Car is at dealership for several days again and the service manager eventually tells me they can't duplicate the problem and can't do anything more.By this point I'm furious and call VW USA Customer Care, several phone calls later they essentially tell me the same thing, sorry can't help. So I have a car in the garage I'm afraid to drive because of the likelihood of being stranded yet again. I will NEVER buy another VW product; Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Ducati, etc. Here's the totally unacceptable response I received after posting to VW USA Facebook page: "We're very sorry to hear about your experience, and we apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations. Should you experience any further concerns with your Golf and visit your local VW dealer for inspection, please don't hesitate to reach out to us again."
