Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi, Japan. It was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda and incorporated on August 28, 1937. Toyota is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world, producing about 10 million vehicles per year.
The 2018 Toyota 4Runner is a rugged, midsize SUV known for its off-road capability and durability. It's designed to handle various terrains and provide a comfortable and versatile interior. Here are some key features and specifications for the 2018 Toyota 4Runner:
Engine Options: The 2018 4Runner is equipped with a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Four-Wheel Drive (4WD): The 4Runner is available with part-time or full-time 4WD systems, depending on the trim level. The full-time 4WD system is called "Multi-Mode 4WD" and includes a two-speed transfer case with a low-range setting for serious off-roading.
Off-Road Features: The 4Runner is designed for off-road enthusiasts and comes with features like an available locking rear differential, crawl control, and multi-terrain select, which allows the driver to choose the appropriate terrain mode for different conditions.
Seating Capacity: The 4Runner typically seats five passengers in its standard configuration, but an optional third-row seat can be added to accommodate up to seven passengers in some trim levels.
Cargo Space: With the third-row seats folded down, the 4Runner offers a substantial cargo space for carrying gear, luggage, or groceries. The rear seats are 40/20/40-split and can be folded down for added versatility.
Infotainment: The 2018 4Runner comes with a 6.1-inch or 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, depending on the trim level. It includes features like Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, and a rearview camera. Some trim levels offer a premium JBL audio system.
Safety Features: Standard safety features include Toyota's Star Safety System, which includes features like vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and more. Some trim levels may also offer advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
Trim Levels: The 2018 4Runner is available in several trim levels, including the SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and TRD Pro. Each trim level offers varying levels of features and off-road capability.
Towing Capacity: The 4Runner is capable of towing trailers and boats, with a maximum towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Exterior Design: The 2018 4Runner has a rugged and boxy exterior design, which contributes to its off-road capability. It often comes with features like skid plates, roof rails, and alloy wheels, depending on the trim level.
Climate Control: Many trim levels offer dual-zone automatic climate control, allowing both the driver and front passenger to set their preferred temperature.
The Toyota 4Runner is favored by those who need a reliable and capable SUV for outdoor adventures and off-road excursions. Its traditional body-on-frame construction and durable design make it a popular choice for those seeking a rugged and versatile vehicle.

I love the interior design and its fuel consumption rates. This model is also easy to maintain since most of the spare-part are readily available. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a cheap and easy to maintain type of vehicle. Herbert from fine-writers.com.Herbert of Nairobi, Other

Air conditioner died after 43,000 KMS. It will cost $1400 to repair I have never owned a car with an air conditioner die with less than 150,000 I'm. I will never buy a Toyota product again. Time to trade in for another vehicle before something else happens. So much for Toyota reliability.Gary of Gravenhurst, ON

As with most Toyota’s bulletproof comes to mind and this vehicle is no exception. Good connectivity in car along with a fairly comfortable ride. Drive range is good considering the weight when fully loaded, I averaged about 850kms for a full 76ltr tank. Great towing capacity at around 2 ton coupled with a deep tray gives you plenty of space. All around great car.Paul of Perth, Western Australi

I went to my Toyota where I bought the Brand New Car from them. I went back last week and because there were fog or oil in my vent screen and they told me that I have to get a new one but you do have warranty because we are not going to use it because they we don't know if the warranty department is going to pay us or not. But as a business and customer way that is not right to us when we buy car and they tell "You don't worry. You have warranty." Please stop lying to people and do your job what we pay you to do. Please don't buy the car from 1155 Bloomfield Ave, West Caldwell, NJ 07006. They are totally liars, fraud and cheaters.virendra of Parsippany, NJ

I love my Toyota. It is a very good car and was the best one I've had so far. My family loved it as well. I will always stand by a Toyota. I am going to be looking for another one soon. I would like to improve its safety but the drive was amazing. Very smooth and never had any problems with it.Lori of New Bedford, MA

$3k ABS failure. 2 months out of government mandated warranty ext. Toyota has a reputation for reliability that couldn't be farther from the truth. From gas pedals sticking causing accidents, frames rusting into nothing barely out of warranty, hybrid batteries catching fire, and my personal experience ABS Actuator failing causing brake failure with my family in the car. Toyota after being forced by the NHTSA to recall 2006-07 Highlanders and 08-09 Camry skated extending that recall to 2008-10 Highlanders due to lower sales numbers and failure rates caused by our countries recession then. Supporting a company by buying vehicles from a company that conducts business this way is a mistake that misleads us all. Stay away from Toyota for the safety of your loved ones.Justin of Key Largo, FL

Unfortunately a header cracked in our Highlanders engine and caused the entire engine to blow at less than 84,000 miles. As the mechanic at the Toyota dealership put it, "This shouldn't have happened." After contacting the Customer Experience Department I was told that financial assistance in these situations is based upon customer loyalty and service records. We own a second Toyota that was purchased at a Toyota dealership a few years prior to our Highlander.Additionally, I offered to provide my service records but the Customer Experience Department already decided they weren't going to help us recover any of the loss. The cost to replace the engine was $7,500. Toyota could have easily offered to pay $2,000 of the cost and kept me as a customer but apparently making intelligent business decisions is not a top priority for the Customer Experience Department. In total I gave Toyota over $60,000 for two automobiles in the last 7 years. My wife and I are in our 30's which means we will probably purchase another 10 cars in our lifetime. If half of those were Toyota's at an average cost of $30,000, that is $150,000 in revenue they just gave up because they refuse to assist a loyal customer. Congratulations Toyota, I will never buy another one of your automobiles again! You have officially lost me as a customer for life.Michael of Davidsonville, MD

I recently purchased a new Toyota which the salesman failed on his part to get a correct 10 day payoff on my trade. Now that the deal is done, signed and a payment is being withdrawn from my new account they are harassing me for the balance of my payoff. We don’t carry our payoff of our vehicle in our pocket so I gave an estimate which he should have followed up with a 10 day payoff. Now I am receiving harassing phone calls and texts messages at my job on this. Legacy Toyota is very unprofessional and they don’t think of the buyer. All they want is numbers and don’t care at whose cost. This is going to end up with an attorney. I’m waiting to hear from Toyota on this matter. It was the worse purchase I have ever made and not speaking of the truck.Darlene of Tallahassee, FL

I have owned two Toyota Camrys (1999 & 2005). The 1999 was a V6. I don't need to be specific other than to say, if you want drive a car that can easily last more than 200,000 without the expensive repairs, this is the brand to consider. Toyota should definitely earn the "Most Reliable Japanese Car" award. Look around when you're driving. What do you see most? Toyotas, BMWs, Hondas, etc. I don't remember any rental car companies that use Toyotas, which means every Toyota you see on the road are either owned or leased, and not rented. (I might be wrong, btw.) So, something for you to consider the next time you're in the market to buy cars.Tip to all the Toyota owners: If your "mechanic" tells you something is bad and your has less than 75,000 miles, he is lying to you. I have brought my Toyotas to many local shops (to save money from dealerships' exaggerated cost for repairs) and they have suggested to replace the water pump, the radiator, this or that. I was wary and skeptical with their scare tactic approach, so I didn't fix it at that time. Now, 7 years later and with 127,000 miles, it's still running smoothly. Of course, you still have your routine maintenance that needs to be replaced every few years (air filter, tires, batteries, etc). One mechanic told me, "A Toyota with less than 100,000 is still considered almost new. You just have to make sure to change your oil every three to four thousand miles and tune up your car every now and then." These are his words, not mine. My owner manual states every 5000 miles for each oil change, but I think that also depends on how you drive it and how frequent it is driven. You can save a lot of $$$ if you buy it used.Bottom line is, if you want a car for the long-haul of saving money for many years to come, you should definitely consider buying a Toyota. Now, sometimes I wonder why Toyota owners even own Toyotas. I know I drive it because this car was handed down to me and I'm just waiting for it to break down. I mean, let's face it: Tundra drivers don't drive it to haul stuff. (There are many other stronger trucks.) You can't show off your social status with an Avalon. (Again, there are way more other choices.) You can't pick up girls with Camrys. (Not sporty enough to be a sport car and not luxury enough to be a high-class car.) A Corolla is good for what? Prius are well-known for their electric cars, which have been in high demand this past decade. In my opinion, I think you will want to get rid of your Toyota before it will stop working on you.American of Mountain View, CA
