nearby LR2 repairs
Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, since 2008 a subsidiary of India's Tata Motors. JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.
As of my last update in September 2021, Land Rover had discontinued the LR2 model, also known as the Freelander 2 in some markets, after the 2015 model year. However, I can provide you with a general overview of the features that were typically offered in the 2015 Land Rover LR2:
Engine: The 2015 LR2 was likely powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. This engine produced around 240 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive (AWD) was standard, providing excellent off-road capability and traction on various road conditions.
Transmission: The LR2 featured a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels through the AWD system.
Terrain Response System: Land Rover is renowned for its off-road capabilities, and the LR2 came equipped with the Terrain Response System. This feature allowed the driver to select different driving modes suitable for various terrains, such as grass, gravel, snow, mud, and sand.
Luxury and Comfort: The LR2 offered a comfortable and well-appointed interior with high-quality materials. It likely provided seating for five passengers, and the rear seats might have been able to fold down to increase cargo capacity.
Infotainment System: The 2015 LR2 probably featured an infotainment system with a touchscreen display, offering access to various entertainment options, navigation, and connectivity features.
Safety Features: Land Rover typically equips its vehicles with various safety features, such as multiple airbags, stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and possibly additional optional safety packages.
Exterior Design: The LR2 had a distinct and recognizable Land Rover design, characterized by its boxy shape and signature grille. It likely had off-road-inspired design cues and may have offered optional styling packages.
Panoramic Sunroof: Depending on the trim level or available packages, the LR2 might have had a large panoramic sunroof, providing an open and airy feeling in the cabin.
Driver Assistance Features: Some advanced driver assistance features might have been available as optional extras, including parking sensors, rearview camera, and blind-spot monitoring.
Keep in mind that the features listed above are based on general information about the 2015 Land Rover LR2, and specific features may have varied depending on the trim level and optional packages available in different markets. Since Land Rover has not produced the LR2 beyond the 2015 model year, it's essential to refer to official Land Rover documentation or contact a Land Rover dealership for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Technology is useless. I bought 2018 Range Rover V8 Aug 22 - April 22 the Screen has gone out over 10 times. It's been in the shop over a month. For $120,000 the SUV drives really well but the info screen is a rating of 0. The land Rover corporation in New Jersey is also slack so don't get excited on the rapid response.Rick of Columbia, SC

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is heavy and so it makes it easier. lt's safe and sturdy and therefore easier to drive. The dash, lights and buttons are informative and driving is safer for me. I like the solid feel of the vehicle. It makes me feel safer in traffic. I like the height I can drive at and it sets down five inches when we stop so I can get in and out easier. However, the interaction of the signal in the tires is inconsistent and worries me sometimes. Also the GPS system is too expensive to update so it is 8 years old and not reliable.Kathryn of Charlotte, NC

Land Rover makes a variety of models, Range Rover included but pricier. There is an LR2, an LR4, different sports varieties which depends on the style you like and your personal aesthetic towards vehicles. Land Rovers were first described to me to be an all-terrain vehicle that can handle a variety of weather conditions. Some have a roll feature on top in case the vehicle were to roll, most are more square in appearance and have the inside of a sporty luxury vehicle. Land Rovers and Range Rovers both have upgrade features that many other car brands have as well and most vehicles have the ability for seat options greater than 5 people which is great for large families or people needing the extra space for traveling, off roading, camping, etc. Loved the Land Rover but expensive to maintain.Brittan of Tucson, AZ

Wow, lot of issues with these Land Rovers. Apparently, I am not the only one. I have a 2015 Land Rover. Problems weren't apparent when I test drove it, but they sure developed quickly after buying it. My issues are mostly nuisance electronic issues that the dealer has not been able to resolve... or isn't willing to resolve. The parking brake sets at stop lights and fails to release. The transmission often is confused on which gear it needs to be in resulting in over revving of the motor and heavy clunking as it engages. Radio reception cuts out on local stations that never happened on my other cars. Intermittent wipers fail to operate intermittently. The seat will inadvertently adjust fully down and back instead of to the default Memory 1 position. Sometimes it will randomly adjust while drive. One thing I busted them on early was odometer mileage. It logged 250 miles for a highway trip that MapQuest indicated 180 miles. Perhaps they wanted the warranty to run out as quick as possible. I noted this and reported it to the deal. They said nothing was wrong, but after it was in the shop, it recorded the mileage correctly on the next trip. Strange. Perhaps they are repairing more than they want to let on. The local dealer is now in denial. They tell me they "cannot replicate the problem". As the owner, we should have the most credibility with our cars. We drive them everyday, but Land Rover doesn't see it like that. These Land Rovers have electronic bugs and programming issues and it appears Land Rover is hiding from them.Ken of Leawood, KS

Land Rover has a variety of styles to meet everyone's needs. They bring a more rugged 4x4 type feel to a stylish innovative vehicle and you no longer have to sacrifice style to drive a 4x4. Excellent stereo systems come standard and the air shocks that were on the car provide a awesome ride. There's a leather interior, and plenty of plug-in ports for phones etc. And the sun roof/moon roof is great. There are plenty of options for everyone from the businessman/businesswoman to the avid 4x4 enthusiast. There are also options from stereo to heated seats. I have twins and a 9-year-old so I had to have plenty of room! This was the best vehicle! Can handle the double stroller and all the football/baseball equipment from my oldest.Anita of Fayette, AL

Unfortunately I was blind with the manufactory believing was an excellent, but let me tell you it's all problems like a regular manufacturer. The first day before signing the paperwork at dealership, walking around the car I notice left led light was off. Guess what, "A FUSE" they said... hmm brand new car and fuse blow out... ok... 3 weeks after now my remote keyless won't work... Guess what is common on these HIGH END VEHICLES that the computer or keys go flat. I thought buying $57.000 car was a worry-free, no headaches, like regular manufacturers. Oh, and don't expect 5-star customer service when you have problems, they are like a regular Ford, Chevy, dealership same level.robert of Pembroke Pines, FL

Love them. And even all cars are test drives fun. I really liked the type of all terrain vehicle that this brand provided and hope again to buy another one sometime around the spring time test drives. The appearance is amazing. This car is very good for rough ground and mountains. There isn't so many upgrades on the Land Rover but it's still a really good car for anywhere. Have already recommended it to many people such as my friends and family. The gold version is very hard to clean and I really don't recommend it to anyone.Bod of Winchester, MA

Purchased a Range Rover Sport HSE at the end of February 2018. The vehicle currently has 4,500 miles and has been in for repairs 4 times -- the last was for two plus weeks. The issues are all surrounding the infotainment system -- Audio system, Climate Control, Navigation, etc. The latest upgrade of the firmware(s) and replacement of the main infotainment computer resulted in a completely dead navigation system -- frozen map, no audio NOTHING. My phone pairs, but the call loses audio frequently and is unusable. The dealer has been very good, but this is a major design flaw and cannot be fixed. I have begun the buy-back process and so far the dealership and Land Rover USA seem to be willing to accommodate my demands -- namely I want out of the vehicle without it costing me a single cent -- purchase prices, delivery, taxes, interest paid, extended warranty, etc. We shall see when all of a sudden the just under $80K sticker amounts to a refund closer to $90K. First and definitely the LAST Land Rover/Jaguar product I would ever consider. Unfortunately because aside from that Mrs. ** I love the vehicle style, ride and comfort.Bill of Andover, MA

Appearance is nice, leather seats is a plus and is offered in a variety of models. Blue colors are the best or black can be sharp too. Many amenities, safe for families, durable, easy to work on, has great tow packages, many different varieties to choose from. Fairly inexpensive for what you get in a vehicle, fun in the snow, great in all weather, great all around vehicle. All upgrades are available and personalized to fit a persons style and lifestyle as well. Safety upgrades are a must and nice for all families. Although all in all I enjoyed this vehicle, there is not much room in it. Made taking long road trips very uncomfortable for a family of four. Feel like the vehicle is meant and made for smaller than normal people.Amy of Fairborn, OH

I was 15 days late having the Discovery Sport serviced after one year. I was charged the full cost of servicing... $601. I'm not at all pleased and I will never return to lease a Land Rover or Jaguar again.James of Canada
