Some of you may know, but most of you may not, that I purchased a Nissan Altima October of last year. I've always driven Hondas, but thought I'd give something else a try. NEVER AGAIN. Firstly, I purchased from Hoffman Nissan and perhaps that was my first big mistake. The finance department gave me financing and three weeks later I found out I did not qualify for the financing they set me up with. Secondly, I purchased the car contingent upon a rattle in the roof being fixed. The roof still rattles, and Nissan told me that it just is that way. Most recently, three weeks ago, Joe was driving the car home from the gym getting on an on ramp to Route 8 at 25 - 35 miles an hour when the hood flew up and into the windshield, which, thank God did not cause an accident. This caused major damage to both fenders. I first brought the car back to Hoffman Nissan, as there was an active recall for this very thing, but for which my VIN did not qualify. Hoffman told me that it looked like someone left a screwdriver in the hood, and that it was bent. Couldn't it have been bent from FLYING UP ON WHILE IN MOTION?? They then handed me a $2,200 quote to fix it and told me to go through insurance. Long story short, after 2 weeks of conversation with Nissan corporate, they told me today that they will not fix my car and if I wish to have it fixed it will need to go through insurance or out of pocket. I am appalled that Nissan does not want to stand by their manufacturing and fix this issue. I'm disgusted with their business practices, and can safely say my experience with both Nissan and Hoffman Nissan in Avon, CT, have been the worst business experiences I've endured, especially with so much money at stake.

I have called your finance department Nissan Canada Finance on multiple occasions including today regarding an outstanding payment on my third lease with Nissan (2011 Maxima.) Payment overlooked due to family health issues. The outstanding balance was paid for earlier this year (2016) through your collection agency and payment confirmed by Nissan Finance. I am still getting letters and calls from Credit Risk Management Canada Ltd. asking for payment. I was told by your finance department to resolve it myself with CRM. (How rude and arrogant.) I have been wasting my valuable time dealing with various people regarding this issue. I find it very disturbing that your finance department would not contact the credit agency to confirm the payment. If the calls and letters continue from Credit Risk Management, I will be contacting my lawyer, as I feel this is a form of harassment. I am now on my fourth lease with Nissan and do not expect to renew or purchase with Nissan or Infinity in the future. Your finance department staff are uncaring, rude and condescending and have left me very dissatisfied and angry. UPDATE - It's now Feb 2017 and not one follow-up call or apologies. PS: I miss one payment after 14 years with Nissan and I am considered a criminal. They need to send their hounds after. Nissan - The Donald Trump of Car Companies.

Consider this. I have a 2011 Rogue and found out the CVT needs replacing. Since Nissan has created a monopoly around their CVT you cannot find parts to rebuild as you cannot buy them. The only way is to replace the entire CVT which you must purchase from Nissan. Ever wonder how they extended the warranty for 2008-2010 only but did the extension in 2014? They knew that the 2011, 2012, 2013 would all have the same problems. Maybe not enough complaints at that time for those years. So I checked the warranty on the brand new replacement CVT direct from Nissan and installed by Nissan... 12 months/20000kms. Although the exact same CVT on a brand new 2017 comes with 5years/60000km warranty. Read between the lines... Nissan cannot even back their own monopoly on CVT with a decent warranty. What a crock of **. Bye bye Nissan FOREVER. The GM of the dealership won't even return my call, probably because he has no excuses for the crap product the CVT is. Someone start a class action and take Nissan and their CRAP CVT down.

This space would never be enough to write all the issues we have had with our car. It's the worst deal, the worst customer service, the worst corporation, the worst car, the worst company. That company has stole the money from us. I had never thought was going to be that bad. The car has gave us lot problems, consumes the amount of gas that 3 cars all together will do from other brands. The doors got stuck and had to take it to dealer to open them stupid tickets. Can not appeal to the clerk. I really hate this company. They are such a stealers not dealers, stealers... I will never recommend it to no one.

Having CVT issues with a 2012 Nissan Rogue that is still under warranty. Called the dealer to schedule an appointment and was told that it will cost me $92 to have it inspected. What good is a warranty if you have to pay for something that is under warranty?

I own an Altima and the driver's and passenger side's floor boards are rusting through, as well as my flex pipe that connects to the catalytic converter. Last but not least, oil pan is also rusting through. This seems to be a defect with Nissan, yet they will not take ownership of the issue. After much research, I found that I am not the only consumer who has this issue. No one can tell me that after only 7 years that this is normal for a car to rust like this. I also own a 2000 Chevy that has not rusted like my Nissan. On top of my car being a rust bucket, it also has an issue where if you move my car a few feet and turn it off, it will not start. I have brought it to a local Nissan dealer for this issue and was told nothing was wrong with my car. Again, after researching this issue, it also seems to be a problem with the '06 Altima that Nissan will not take ownership of. I will never buy another Nissan again!

First my brake module failed which by the way is an $1100. Part only covered under extended warranty... After leaving from this repair the same day I went to get gas and the gas pump valve at the gas station kept clicking closed like the tank was full when it was not. I thought it was the gas pump at the station. Went to another one and figured out that it was the truck. Took it back immediately and it was not covered... In a miraculous coincidence if you believe in those I received an notice from Nissan two days after the repair that there was an issue now covered under extended warranty for a gas vent tube... In the letter they described the exact symptoms I was having but when I inquired they would not cover the problem because it was the valve and not the tube. Sorry Nissan but you don't get a pass on this one. When you purchase a vehicle you should be able to put gas in it no matter how old it is... Ridiculous.

I purchased my Altima in 2011 from Newburgh Nissan, Harte Auto Group. Boy was I ripped off! I felt that I was "bait & switched" when it came to the deal and paperwork. Clearly, after I realized that I paid WAY too much for this vehicle, nobody wanted to hear about it. Not the dealership and not Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. My payment is way too high for what I can afford since DAY 1. NMAC will NOT work with me regarding possibly modifying the terms of my loan. They don't care. Representatives there are very nasty. No notes was ever noted when I call. I seem to explain my story over and over again. Now nearly sinking clearly into a state of bankruptcy - JUST FOR THIS LOAN/CAR - I'm sick to my stomach. In this day and age, you would think auto creditors would WANT to work with you - have a little bit of understanding and compassion to try and make it work. Nissan does NOT. I will NEVER recommend or purchase another Nissan product as long as I breathe and walk this earth. I've made mistakes in my life - but this one was by far, the worst I've ever done. Once again, not the dealer or NMAC will even try to listen to me or work with me to make my situation a little easier. DON'T BUY A NISSAN!!!

My 2004 Infinity G35 had a recall on air bags. Had the work done but the light keep coming on. Went back to dealer and was told it was my job to get it fixed. Never had this problem before they work on the air bags. I feel the dealer should fix the problem. I sent a letter 06-5-11 on this. Have not heard from anyone. I would like to fix it or go to small claims court.

I was really concerned after reading reviews online. I mailed my payoff and it did not show up online for the first week. I called customer service. The rep was very nice and very reassuring telling me it usually takes 2 weeks to process and that the title can take approximately 45 days. True to her word, the payment was posted during the second week. The pleasant surprise was that I received the title the following week.
