Hyundai Motor Company, often abbreviated to Hyundai Motors and commonly known as Hyundai, is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967.

The Kona subcompact's edgy styling charms onlookers and avoids appearing busy despite its multifaceted sheetmetal. The cabin packs just enough of the exterior’s whimsy to tie the whole together without overdoing it. The Kona may not be the most practical SUV in its class, but that’s forgivable considering how good the rest of this package is. The turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder—one of two available engines—has impressive performance. So not only is the Kona fun to look at, it’s also fun to drive.

Product Reviews:

I called asked for an estimate three days before I scheduled repair. I was told 330 for labor to do a knock sensor replacement. I ordered part at dealership which was 74.20. I went in today. 1 hour and 36 minutes. Charged me 480.00 for labor, 28.80 misc charge 508.80. I don't think current mechanics get 500 an hour then tell me that my repair isn't warrantied because I didn't have them put on computer there. I am on disability and this took every cent I had.

I bought an extended warranty to 10 years/100,000 miles. Yet, anytime I have a warranty issue Hyundai refuses to honor the warranty. Radiator fails - they decline, O2 Sensor fails - they decline, Struts fail - they decline. What did I pay additional monies for to have the extended warranty?

I bought my 2011 Sonta in September 2011. From the very beginning I should have known something was not right. The car was fine but the people, sales people and financial staff leave something to be desired. My original quote was what I agreed upon but when they processed the paper work it appeared to have escalated in monthly payments amount of $80. I have been to the Fairfax Hyundai several times since then and have never walked away feeling as if I were taken care of or received what Hyundai says it would do with customer service. The last time I went in, the service person said that he would take care of me and ended up charging me for what should have been routine service and, they did a "software upgrade" recall that no one told me about. They charged me $400 and then, when I questioned the charges and showed them the work, they did they said they made a mistake but would not be able to refund the money and would give me a service credit. After a few calls to them and my credit card company, they refunded the amount to my account but did absolutely nothing to compensate me for the eventual charges I racked up due to their connivance.I now check regularly to see what the latest malady with this car just to make sure I am driving a somewhat safe vehicle. To be fair, the car has been great. It worked fine until I had to take it in to Fairfax Hyundai. The last incident my car just died on the road, really bad area for traffic. I had to call the police to run their lights to keep me from getting hit. Shout of to the City of Falls Church, VA and their police department. They were great. I have roadside assistance and they sent someone from Blair's towing (Alex) and he was great too. There was only a 20-30 minute waiting period. He towed my car to the dealership. Now, my wife had been talking to the service floor manager and he informed her that when I arrived I would get a loaner car. That never happened. She had to come pick me up from the shop. I am waiting to hear from them still now. They said they would call at 8 this morning. What can I do? I have no idea what to or how to take some sort of action that would make a significant impact on the way they service cars or people.

It is a comfortable vehicle to drive with all the adjustments a driver can make to be not tired out on a trip. My wife and I took a trip from Western PA to the state of Washington and neither of us had aches and pains from the trip to and from either location home. We were very surprised at mileage we got on the trip. All in all we were so pleased with the car we ended up purchasing another. It feels like a luxury vehicle at a low price.

So my car got towed last Friday and I've been calling the reinstatement department for almost a week and they have so much attitude they yell at you. They won't tell you once what documents they need. You will be going back and forth to OfficeMax and your home. Finally, when you have all of the papers faxed, they will tell you they never got them. You end up faxing 6 times.

Problems w/ Hybrid batt, charging system since the day I bought it. Poor fuel mileage, rated 57-59 mpg, actual 31-52 mpg. Brake peddle noise at 6,000 miles, noisy a/c fan at 15000. In shop 6 times in 1 1/2 years to diagnosis/repair, no help. Coil failure (car towed to shop) at 20,000.5 case #'s opened. Requested "buyback" several times, they refused it. Case c/s reps. Rude, condescending & dismissive! Maryland "lemon" law complaint filed, in process. Will never buy a Hyundai product again!

I purchased a 2021 Hyundai Kona in November of 2020. With less than 14,000 miles, it had to be towed due to a broken transfer case (manufacturer error). Hyundai refused to reimburse me for the $275 tow as a result of their poorly made car part which resulted in the tow. I would not choose this vehicle and will not be purchasing another in the future.

2008 Hyundai Sonata - Driving to work 2 weeks ago, I noticed the rear end of the car felt strange, some movement in the rear end. As I was driving something happened in the rear of the car. I knew I was going to wreck - my car moved so quickly and spun to right, knocking me out. From my understanding of the wreck from a man who observed the wreck - I flipped multiple times, was on my side, landed upside down and slid upside down fast and for some distance and hit a tree (?), a stump came up inside the car - Jaws of Life had to remove me. I am recovering and a guardian angel had to be with me to have survived this horrible wreck - something happened in the rear of the car - there is a recall for a crossbar in the rear suspension that can erode due to snow, salt etc...?

After buying a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport in October of 2016, we noticed, at the first washing of the car that the clear coat was marred in several areas. We immediately reported it to the dealer. We took it in, he agreed that it was a defect, and sent us to several different body shops to see if anything could be done. We had it detailed (at our expense) and buffed but the marred finish was still visible. The dealer then advised us to call the manufacturing which we did. After months and months of runarounds from Hyundai Corporation, we are no closer to getting our car fixed. Their case managers don't return our calls when they say they are going to and every time we call them, we have to repeat our story countless times. Today we were informed there was NOTHING they could do. Sorry! We feel like their customer service is very poor and that stall you, hoping you will give up hope and go away. I will never buy a Hyundai again after this experience.

On June 2020, I purchased a Palisade 2020 at Lougheed Hyundai. The car was purchased new. I quickly discovered that this car is in fact was damaged during the manufacturing process. Or, this may have been the result of damage incurred by workers at Lougheed Hyundai, which was then covered up. After a few days of having the car, I went to an automatic car cleaning service. After completing the wash, I noticed discoloration on the car body near the wheels (near the back passenger door) because its paint peels off. What bothered me with my experience at Lougheed Hyundai is the terrible customer experience and the general manager doesn't care of the customer. He offered me to repaint that part which is included in the warranty or he can replace that part of my car with a another new car!! So it might have been happened for my car before I purchased it. As a new Hyundai customer this is a very disappointed experience which I never had with different manufacture.
