Our second & last Hyundai. Car hesitates & bucks very bad from a full stop. Fuel gage not accurate at all. According to brochure car has a 16.4 gallon fuel tank, but when you go to fill it only takes about 9-10 gallons after low fuel indicator reads 30 miles or so to empty. Took car to O'brien Hyundai of Fort Myers shortly after purchase & given a runaround about problem. Told by service writer that there was no code displayed.Talked to 2 independent mechanics who both said it sounds like the fuel pick up or sending unit is either bad or loose in fuel tank. Filled out complaint form with Hyundai USA, called back a week later & was told someone would contact me. No one ever contacted me. After another 2 weeks called Hyundai & was told issue was not escalated because problem did not sound serious enough. Finally contacted Hyundai USA customer service who agreed to escalate case.

I bought this car when it was 3 yrs old and had it for 2 yrs. I noticed the engine took a long time to start and just got worst. When I took it in for a service they found the head gasket had blown. This is on a 5 yr old car! What's worse is the warranty had just run out by a couple of weeks. I rang up Hyundai but they wouldn't repair it under warranty or goodwill since it just run out. You don't expect a head gasket to blow on a car this age. This is more common on very old cars with high mileage. Considering this is a very unusual thing to happen and with its warranty just run out you would expect Hyundai to fix it for me or at least pay some of the cost. The cost to fix it is just under a £1000 and the car is only worth £5000 :(

I been having Warranty Issues since I bought my 2010 Elantra . Starting out with failing Brake Lights to causing misfire and to end it the EPS. When going to the Dealership for the engine issue, I had been told I have water leaking into my cylinder that needs to be cleaned out due to my car not having the engine light on. The same day the car had seemed to misfire and the engine light came on. I drove to the first Auto repair shop I saw and they run the diagnostic and it showed a code. They told me the issue was under warranty and I should bring it to the Dealership. I asked if they could clean the grease out a little so it would stop jerking. They did. I took it ten miles down the road to the Dealership and left it with them. Next day, they called me and told me all I had is some water in my cylinder and that it wasn't covered by warranty. So when I got to the dealership, he showed me the bill what was even more as that from the repair shop to fix the gasket. They explained to me they couldn't pull a code and the code given by me to them wasn't making any sense. So I took my car to Firestone and had them look into the so-called water in my cylinder. As they they couldn't find any water anywhere. Long story short, they didn't honor the warranty at all. Now the EPS seems to be failing and Hyundai expect the code to to read in order to honor the warranty. Well Dear Hyundai, the EPS don't stay on and you can't pull a code because no one be able to drive with the EPS out to the dealership so they can see the light is on. So again another bill on the Buyer cause Hyundai. So what I'm trying to say is buying a Hyundai is a waste of money. They also stated what I called and complained, You don't have any Oil Changes on file with the dealership. Really I never had any issues with my VW when I took it to the Dealership about anything. And they did listen to the customer's concerns and try to help and not send you out with issues that they didn't want to fix under warranty. This was my first and last Hyundai I had Purchased.

Hi, just wanted to share with experience I've had with Hyundai. I have encountered several issues with my Equus, both with the 2011 and the 2014 models. With the 2011, it was serviced a multitude of times, concluding with the installment of a new compressor. However, the cooling (or lack thereof) issue still remained. When that lease ended, I was assured that the A/C issues with the Equus had been rectified. In good faith, I leased a new 2014 Equus, and much to my dismay, the A/C issues were NOT resolved! So, here I am, AGAIN, in the same exact predicament! Hyundai insists on continuing to deny this problem exists and continues to market inferior products. Any consumer can read the blogs on the internet and clearly see that there is a definite A/C problem with the Hyundai models, including the Equus! Hyundai is lessening their credibility in continuing to deny this issue exists! Hyundai needs to step up to the plate and stop denying that they do not have an A/C problem with this vehicle. They MUST do the right thing. Otherwise, their reputation will be at stake. Recurring customers like me will no longer return, and unfortunately for Hyundai, we will tell others about the poor service and callous treatment we received and of our negative experience.

I called the Hyundai Corporate to ask about known issues with cars like mine. The lady advised me that they have not received any complaints or issues from customers regarding the issues I am having. I advised her that I have read a lot of reviews like I am having. I have noticed that if I hit the least bump in the road my car shifts almost like it's about to lose control and does not ride the best either. Also sounds like grinding when stopping like brakes or rotors. I'm just hoping we can get the word to the right ones about our concerns! We need to be assured that our vehicles are safe! If anyone knows how or who to contact about this please respond. Thanks.

My break light went out recently, so I went to go get the problem fixed. Come to realize that the auto shop told me that my left tail light wasn't attached to the vehicle, like it have been pulled from the car. All four screws were damaged. So I asked him if he could check the driver side, and it was the same issue. Now I am driving with my back tail lights hanging out of my car. I took it to the dealership and called Hyundai and they are saying they can not help me with this issue because no one has ever reported it, but on NHTSA you can see all the complaints of Hyundai owners having this same problem. HELP PLEASE!

One of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. Family owned, that tell you a lot. Very helpful staff in sales as well as service. Great selection of cars and the most important easy going NO Haggle store. All options, Terms and Payment are given right upfront. Definitely recommend this store to do business with.

My vehicle is a 2009 Atos. It is still under warranty. I waited approximately five months for a reverse light switch to be replaced; the brakes have been skimmed twice in this time due to a brake shudder. When asked if this was normal, I was told that replacing the brakes would be very expensive and that they would find out. I dealt with Lisa and Tamryn as well as other workshop staff including the w/shop manager, and they indicated that they would find out if the brake situation was normal. They still have not come back to me in this regard -- it was two weeks ago. My vehicle went in for rust removal. Since I got it back, there has been wind whistle through the windows. When I received the customer service call after the service inquiring if I was satisfied with everything, I indicated that I was not and explained in terms of the wind whistle. I still have not had any response from anyone at this dealership.

I called road assistance on my 2016 Azera. After 1 years and half the car won't start. I have been waiting for the towing car almost 3 hours. Not a fast service at all. Very disappointing. I called back and they said the first driver had an accident on the freeway and that they are sending another one.

On Monday 3/7/16 my 2013 Hyundai Sonata accelerated on its own, jumped a curb and hit a tree. The airbag went off. The insurance company totaled the car on 3/16/16. The miles on this car was about 26,000. It was 7 a.m. and I was parking getting ready to put car in park and the car just accelerated on its own. The air bag caused a burn on my arm and I had to go to the doctor twice for the burn. I had on a fairly new Chico's top which was burned and hit the garbage. Because of the time and no one else in the parking lot no one else was involved, For this I am grateful. I have had to purchase a new car and of course is not a Hyundai. The car was registered in my husband's name Robert **.
