All cars have problems, but before you purchase take a look at some of the issues in the BMW section... Valve guide seals ($4k), evaporator cores ($3k), coolant leaks, multiple window regulators, transmission issues, a/c issues, water pump issues, electrical issues and even engine bolts that break off! The list goes on and on. Just do a Google search. And these are with BMWs with 50,000 and 60,000 miles. I hope that my story will convince people to do their research and at least consider the Lexus brand.I bought my Lexus GS400 in 1999, and now at 16 years old and with 215,000 miles in my opinion it is one of the most reliable vehicles ever built. If you do some research, the 1UZ-FE V8 engine produced by Toyota in the late 90s (and used in the GS, LS, Tundra, LX, etc.) is one of the most bulletproof engines ever made. It will pretty much run forever. There are vehicles with this engine on the road today with 300,000, 400,000 even 500,000 miles and more. Even though it has evolved somewhat, it is still pretty much the same V8 motor used in Lexus vehicles today. That should tell you something.Now to my vehicle. In the first 5 years of ownership, I didn't have a single problem with my car. Not one. I replaced a battery, but that is something you would do with any car. In the 6th year, the throttle body assembly needed repair, but not a big deal. In the 10th year my starter contacts went bad (they go bad in all cars) and my alternator went out (again, expected for a 10 year old car!). Other than that it's pretty much been regular maintenance: oil changes, tires, brakes. In 16 years I have never changed the spark plugs!! They are original. I've driven up and down the east coast and this car has never left me stranded.Again, do your research and choose wisely. Today, KBB values my car at about $5-6k (it was $46k originally) but it doesn't matter because if someone wanted to purchase it today I would say it's not for sale. I am keeping this one. I'm sure I'll purchase a 2nd vehicle one day for fun - maybe a convertible - and guess what brand that will be? A Lexus of course! Even then I'm not trading in my GS400 - this car is staying in my garage.

It's good, can last long for gas. Don't need to repair car for a while, it's sturdy and nice. Had to change 2 wheels though. After that I did had to fix anything up like oil change. But car can go 100000 miles before it needs repair. It's really good car to go on a road trip. I would definitely recommend my company. But, the car needs more work on the seats, it has been a difficult time trying to drive with sitting on this seat. I would also fix the door because it is a bit weak and it broke once.

I chose the silver color. I love this crossover SUV because it's roomy and can seat up to five people. The Lexus Enform Remote allows me use my smartphone to unlock doors and start the engine. It has heated side mirrors and a backup camera.The Lexus 2016 NX 200t also offers additional significant available features. Some features are the upgrade to all-wheel drive, 18 inch wheels, navigation system, power moonroof, leather upholstery, and heated front seats. It offers impeccable cabin construction. It has split-folding rear seating, power front seats and generous backseat room. I truly love my car.

I am extremely disappointed in Lexus customer service. We have had 3 Lexus in the last 12 years, this will be my last experienced. My current lease ends in 3 weeks. I moved to Hawaii a year ago. Called Lexus last March 2015. Before making arrangements for my relocation, I had asked what did I need to do and could I move my car to Maui, what to do at the end of my lease, I was told "nothing to be done, thank you for letting us know, just bring your car to Lexus Maui when your term is up."Called back this Last April 2016 so I can prepare to return my lease, was told to call Maui dealership to see if they want to take back my car because they are not obligated?! Only the dealership where we lease are obligated... Called Maui Lexus, was told to bring my car in, otherwise had to ship it to Lexus Oahu. Brought my car over to Maui Lexus, they don't want it because the return value is not enough for them to resell... Called Lexus Financial and now I am given a much different version from what I was told a year ago. My car cannot be returned to Hawaii. I was basically told, "sorry if you were told otherwise, nothing we can do, we don't have proof of that conversation?!" What an awful customer service that is! Lexus never again!!!

The variety of this car comes with multiple colors and different accessories in the different designs it has to offer its most valued loyal customers. The appearance is brilliant in each different car design. It has amazing functions and capabilities in the different types of vehicles you're looking for and the features are like no other you've seen before. It has various upgrades from design, to accessories, built in DVD, compass, four wheel drive. It can function in all seasons with one tire year round. Passenger capacity holds up to 6 people. If you want less passengers and more room, it has an electronic capability to fold a back seat into the floor for more personal room. It is beyond a five star company and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a resilient version of the car.

I bought a new RX on Saturday and it was probably the easiest and fastest experience I have ever had buying a new car. I waited about 5 minutes for the receptionist to get me a salesman (Josias) who was really nice and helped me out with everything. My wife and I have a Lexus 430. The trunk lid has an electric power latch which automatically operates to pull the lid down tight when the lid is closed. On 9/30/13, I pulled the switch that opens the trunk in order to allow my wife to take out groceries that were inside the trunk. As my wife was in the course of lifting the trunk lid with her fingers, the latch unexpectedly and without warning activated to close the lid on her fingers with such crushing force that her finger bone was fractured, and her fingernail was pulled out. My wife has been suffering excruciating pain since the mishap! The Lexus' owner's manual does not give any warning or advice about how to open or close the trunk lid. If Lexus had warned of the danger of the power latch coming down while one was attempting to raise the lid, my wife would never have opened the trunk lid with her fingers!

I bought my 2006 GS300 1/07 with 7,000 miles. I had all maintenance performed at the dealership since ownership. Absolutely nothing performed elsewhere, whether oil/filter, tires, brakes, etc. All periodic maintenance was religiously performed. My car would "rough" idle occasionally, and it began eating oil several years ago. Numerous oil consumption checks, and many, many trips to the dealership. My check engine vsc light came on 1/5/15, something that had occurred previously on multiple occasions, and I immediately took it to the dealership. Was told I NOW need the engine misfire repair, which to my understanding includes replacement of the pistons. Lexus Satisfaction has to get involved after the request for the repair from the dealership was denied by Lexus because the car is now 9 years old (which coincidentally just occurred). The engine misfire repair will be performed as long as the car is less than 9 years old. I then battled with Lexus "Dissatisfaction" and was ultimately informed they would not compromise on their decision. It is truly a very disappointing decision. Nothing more than typical corporate games. I will NEVER purchase another Lexus.

I have 2 Lexus cars, one 2007 ES 350 and one 2005 RX 330. As several Lexus customers are experiencing, I too have a leaking rack and pinion on my RX 330. With just 60,000 miles plus. I found this problem when the service adviser inform me about this problem. I was surprised that this so-called quality luxury car will give us some problems at a low mileage. I just have my oil change last month and quoted me about $1,800 to repair. What a quality car we have to just spend this much for a low mileage and my wife drives this one from home to work and vice versa. Lexus should do this repairs at no cost to the customers if they want to claim that their vehicles are built with a seal good quality and workmanship and recall this vehicles because there are so many Lexus owner out there who are having the same problem. This issue should be taken seriously before anything else and serious things happens. I will never recommend Lexus to my friends so they will not experience this kind of dilemma I am experiencing and maybe patronize so other vehicles.

I bought a "Certified" 2004 RX330 from Lexus Clearwater. I bought the car in '06, the SUV had 22k miles, was soon told I needed new tires. Did research as why would I need new tires now, especially on a "Certified" car, with so little mileage and only two years old. The tires were switched out, they were Cooper tires which aren't the tires from the Lexus manufacturer. When I asked Clearwater Lexus about this and told them someone from Tampa Lexus had talked with me about the issue, they said, "Why would you listed to Tampa Lexus? They are worse than we are!!" I spoke with the corporate office and best they would do is offer new tires at retail - still bogus. Now my dash is cracking and Lexus Tampa said $1900 to replace, and 10% off as I don't service my car there enough for a larger discount. Now the headlights are cloudy and there is a recall, but there are no parts for their own recall just an acknowledgement that there is an issue. I was duped by Lexus, they are horrible. Very sorry I ever bought a car from them. Dealerships should provide an actual printout on how they certify a car, if they had, the tires wouldn't have passed a certification test. Like a home inspection, I want to see levels and percentages of wear and tear and how they could ever pass worn tires as "certified". Lexus shmexus. Poor quality, certified means nothing, horrible customer service.
