Product Reviews:

Buyers beware! I am so extremely disappointed and frustrated with this company who refuses to help their customers in order to make some extra money in their pocket. They have unethical billing practices. I not only leased two vehicles from them but have only been a customer for less than 2 months and regret ever going into business with them. I have been on the phone with so many of their reps and supervisors, people feeding me different ** and after more time, stress and headache, never getting to an actual solution, but rather the way they would have it, money for them and an unhappy customer. This company is known for their terrible billing practices. Even the Mass Turnpike knew I had a Nissan without me giving any personal account information because "this is what Nissan does." That's a good reputation you’ve built for yourself Nissan. I hope I can help the next potential buyer so that when they read this, they go get a Honda instead. Trust me, you will regret getting into business with this company. I am seriously looking into getting a lawyer about this because this is just wrong. I made it so easy for them to resolve the issue, but they keep coming back with ridiculous reasons for why they cannot do that. If I was with another dealer, this would not even be an issue I would have to be resolving.

I purchased a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) vehicle from a local dealership. 12 hours after I got the vehicle home it absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. This is not hyperbole: the garage smelled like an ashtray the second morning because the car sat in there overnight, windows up. The entire garage. In the 167 point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection smoke odor is called out as being checked for and "Meets Standard", "Replaced", or "Repaired/Adjusted" (the check for my car indicated Meets Standard). I struggled with the dealership to get it fixed but they stonewalled me past casually trying to fix smoke odor that all the advice online says can't be removed with the methods they employed (ozonator and "bombs"). From Nissan's website: "Can all Nissans be Certified? No." "Most important, pass a comprehensive 167 point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection".When I called Nissan corporate about being sold a car that was obliviously doctored just enough to not exhibit smoke smells during the sales process but is now undrivable because of the toxic smells inside the vehicle I was told that this is between me and the dealership that sold me the car. I asked them directly: "So you are telling me that Nissan made a CPO promise to me that included no smoke odors and is now unwilling to stand by their customer." The response was, and I kid you not, was "Yes". Furthermore, there was no concern or followup that the dealership was playing fast and loose with the inspections and the how the dealership dishonestly presents CPO cars for sale. Based on this experience I will never buy from Nissan again. It's all promises until they get a sale, then you are on your own. I won't be doing any more business with a corporation like that.

I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesn't matter if you have never been late and it's all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. It's a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Don't assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but I'll post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesn't respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesn't represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesn't take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.

Murano - Well when I purchased car I was looking on the invoice. They had charged me with pin strips on car but it was no pin strips. Had to call them about that to tell them and have them put them on. Then I was paying my taxes on car found out they had it put in system a higher price model that is when I noticed that they forgot to put the letter on the car what it is, s, sl or whatever. I would appreciate if I could have that on my car sent. I pay for it would you please let me know about taking care of this. I called the Five star Nissan 8436658467 just got the runaround for one person to the other. How would you like transfer from this one to another. Thanks if you could take care of this matter.

Nissan Rogue CVT transmission was diagnosed but not covered under warranty. Nissan knows there is an issue but refuses to resolve issues. Don't buy Nissan.

I have experienced more incompetence from this dept. than any other customer service center I have ever contacted. It has been 3 months I have been attempting to get them to send my title to the state DMV for registration. I have faxed them documents at least 6 times during this period. I follow-up with the fax to confirm everything was received and it is all in order. I am told all is in order and the request is being processed. A week later I follow-up for status to be told something or other is missing or incorrect. They do not have the courtesy to contact me when they discover the error, they simply throw it out and never inform the customer. I will never buy a Nissan again.

I purchased a Nissan Rogue in 2014. I absolutely loved my Rogue. Until one day I was driving and the rpm's revved up and then started slowing down. My husband had to come follow me home so I didn't get slammed. My Rogue only had 90,000 miles. I called Nissan and was told, "Oh you are out of warranty, sorry can't help you." I lost my job and then the bank took my vehicle. It has destroyed me financially. I was told that until people die because of these bad transmissions Nissan will never do anything about it. I will never be able to buy a car again because of this. I am 58 and always had good credit until now.

I bought this 2009 Nissan Rogue in 2012. One year later nothing but problem. I pay 17k for this lousy car. I will never buy a Nissan car again. Every time I go for a oil change, they find a problem. Now I need a front lower arm bushing splitting??? Couple of month after I bought the car I needing brakes, check engine light was on. It was a problem with the gas cap. Say I need to change my transmission fluid. I spend close to 2k more on this car. I will never buy a Nissan car from a Nissan dealership. Beware of used car from Nissan dealership. I believe they didn't do a good inspection on their used car which was certified car..... sign (got taken).

The Nissan was a smooth ride and engine was quiet but there were other problems that made the car very weak although the price was very good. Had so many problems that I traded in car for another and service was not that great with replacement parts needed often and the same problem kept occurring which made me question whether car make was viable. There were many problems with fuel pump that had to be replaced several times and gas tank was very small so had to fill up frequently and originally car just stalled in the middle of the road when driving due to malfunctioned fuel pump which was very dangerous.

The history my wife and I have with this van is as follows. We purchased the Nissan Quest new in May of 2011 trading in our 2008 Nissan Quest. We had no problems with (2011 Quest) it throughout the summer and into early fall. Then late October early November, it started to stall on us as we would drive down our driveway. We took it to the dealership Nov. 18, 2011 and they had replaced the fuel tank because the pick-up line to the front of the tank was poorly designed. We got it back Dec. 16, 2011 being told all is fine. It stalled out again New Year's Eve as we drove down the same hill. Our gas tank showed we had 3/8 of a tank of gas. It would do this every time we were going down the hill with under a half tank of gas. Unable to start again until leveled out. Coasting with limited brakes and steering abilities with children in the car down a very steep and windy hill. We took it back to the shop on Jan. 6, 2012 and it has been there since. Nissan had an engineer out to look at the van to make sure they (Nissan mechanics) had installed the new one properly. Engineers discovered a whole new design would be necessary, but that we could drive it as long as we had over a half tank of gas. We refused as it was a safety concern with our large family. They agreed and paid for our rental car and a month payment to accommodate us. After they had it for over a month with still no fix, we decided to file lemon law on it.
