Ranger rover evoque 2014 - Just got this vehicle few months back. Dealership at Flatiron tried to sell us with extra tags... but that's another story which was the start of the poor customer service. So vehicle was working perfectly until we took it back to the center for some updates they called us for with a letter. We get the car back, door floor lights stopped lighting and after one day car won't start altogether. We'd call the same service center and he tells he doesn't have time and I will have to wait 7 days for them to see the issue. (This is the place we got the car and they did the update.) We called another service center, they were ready to see the car. So now we are responsible to get the car at the service station. Called roadside assistance and they were not able to find a towing company. Spoke with them several times. No use. 3 days I am sitting home with car standing on the side of the road outside my house. No assistance, no spare car offered. Just scared what if I was stuck at on a highway or middle of nowhere. Highly disappointed. Rethinking my decision to buy Land Rover. Really questioning the premier tag on Land Rover... is it true?Sa of Thornton, CO

I am a British Citizen, working and living in Austria. As such, I decided to buy a British car, a Range Rover Sport Hybrid Autobiography Dynamic. What made me choose this car was due to the fact the advertised fuel efficiency figure of combined 6.2 litres per 100 km. I ordered this car back in September 2015 from Austria, and got the car delivered to me in mid January 2016. I was very excited to get the car, however this excitement quickly turned into a nightmare the more I drove the car.Having driven over 9000 km since I got the car, I notice that the average fuel consumption is more like 12 litres per 100km, which is nearly double the advertised combined figure for fuel efficiency of 6.2 litres. Not only did I pay a premium to get a hybrid car, but also I will end up paying twice more for the fuel. I am thinking of getting in touch with news channels, my lawyer, and create website blog regarding what I call scandalous situation with great misleading information from Land Rover that made me buy this car, which fails to deliver on the fuel efficiency. I write as a last attempt to the Land Rover UK to see if somebody at Land Rover UK is willing to take some responsibility on this matter, to accept that Land Rover made a mistake with the advertised fuel efficiency figures for this hybrid car. Bottom line; what I am hoping to achieve is to be able to return this car, or Land Rover to take some responsibility in this matter, and compensate me for the losses I will incur say over 10 years of running this car (which I in detail calculated in the below email trail, and around 24K Euros).Yavuz of Villach, Other

We decided to buy our son an Evoque last year as a graduation present and he has encountered problem after problem. All in all, the car has been into the dealership over a dozen times and has been off the road for the best part of three months within the year. This was not what we expected and decided to complain to Land Rover customer service teams, as advised by the dealership. We might as well contacted the Ministry of Incompetence - though polite and said the right things, at no point have they actually looked at this from our perspective, let alone do anything for us. We cannot get hold of the directors - who are faceless and do not want to know about the inadequacies of their products and after-sales teams. Finally, after receiving advice, we have had to start legal proceedings against the dealership who sold us the vehicle. Land Rover do not even seem to want to support their own dealerships. We strongly advise anyone that is thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this company not to do so. Extremely disappointed with all aspects of this manufacturer. Best of British - I think not.Lilly of London, Other

I purchased a NEW 2018 Range Rover Sport in October 2018. Right out of the gate I noticed the throttle response was delayed. When I press the gas there is a 1-2 second delay before the truck moves. When you have the wheel turned it's an even longer delay and then the truck bucks and goes. According to Land Rover White Plains and Land Rover Freeport it's normal. Entering the highway is playing a game of chicken. I have to time the passing cars and hit the gas early to merge and pray I don't hit someone. In November 2018 (1 month of ownership) my truck wouldn't drive. The car was on and everything was running but the transmission and gears wouldn't work. The dash said "HDC FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL FAULT, TRANSMISSION FAULT & GEAR SHIFTER FAULT". I towed it to LR Freeport and they didn't have any loaner cars to give me so I had to rent a car from Hertz. Dealer said I would be reimbursed for the rental. Now LR is giving me a hard time about reimbursing me for the rental when according to my warranty and contract I'm due a loaner when I bring it to service at no cost to me!! I'm still fighting for reimbursement! After picking up the truck they said it needed an update. It's crazy how a little update can affect so much. Now the truck is fixed but the throttle is still horrible. The 2 center screens are delayed before turning on (1-2 minutes). The "maps" in the infotainment odometer doesn't turn on. The rear view camera is delayed and choppy. My sunroof makes a whistling noise (according to LR that's normal). My park distance control works when it wants and when it's cold out I have to run the truck for 15-20 minutes before I can drive it otherwise the transmission bucks and revs but truck doesn't move. How can you sell something for so much money and it's nothing but problems and unreliable?? The internet is FULL of bad reviews and complaints for LR.THE WORST $90k I've ever spent!!! I feel like I was robbed! I pray someone steals it so I can rid myself of this headache!! HOW DARE LR SELL THESE EXPENSIVE CARS THAT HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! So unreliable! Get a BMW or Mercedes, save yourself the headaches! Oh and my father has a 2018 Discovery for 2 months and has had it in for service 9 times!! Looking into local lemon laws for him.Salvatore of East Meadow, NY

I purchased a beautiful 2020 Range Rover Sport HST with red/black interior on 10/13/19. ON 10/25/19 I started experiencing problems. One of the display screens started to blind on and off constantly and the other two screens were scramble. I also was receiving a message saying "intelligent brake system not available". The service department performed a software update and changed a part. The day I pick up my vehicle from the service department the same problems started again maybe 3 hours later. A few days later while waiting in the valet parking line the truck just turned off while I was still in drive. This happen twice. Another visits to the service department for a software update again and I was told my battery was dead; so they charged my battery. As of 1/6.2020 my vehicle is back in shop again waiting for anther display and a part because now I'm receiving a message say "Forward alert not available". The dealer refused to give me another vehicle and land rover customer service has not return any of my phone calls. I was given a case number and told it can take a few months for land rover to decide if they want to purchase the vehicle back.Kair of Dublin, CA

Since 2014 my Land Rover not only has caused me serious bodily injury, has been in service more than 10 x to present. 3 or more for the same issue. I have made multiple cases to corporate and several lemon law suits. I am at wits end. My kids and I are so scared to drive in the car because it continues to break down. They have done 10 or more updates, put in a new transmission, starter and the list goes on. It lunges forward, pops out of gear, shakes, vibrates, etc. The car is a safety hazard. The dealership agrees with me that the car has major problems and has not worked right since the beginning. All I want is to get my money back and give the car back. Corporate has not worked with me in any way.Julie of Norwood, NJ

11000 miles in going in year two of ownership. Yes the software updates for in control pro and screen blanking out were pain early on but our service has been great and our dealer gave us 4 years of annual service free for our early software issues. I really like the truck and judging by how many people own them here in Connecticut, have a true following and loyal fan base who all live through the little things. Also bought wife 2017 Disco Sport that is now on 30000 miles now going in 3 years and outside failed water pump under warranty, been pretty dependable and bullet-proof.Mike of Norwalk, CT

Driveshaft broke on my 2003 Land Rover Discovery. There is a recall for the 2003 Range Rover for the same problem, same year for the truck but the recall doesn't exist for the Discovery! Numerous complaints are all over the internet regarding the same issue! Land Rover refuses to do anything about it. In fact, the person I spoke to at Land Rover said "I'm not really sure what you should do?” really?I reported a complaint to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) who will investigate the number of problems and complaints with the hopes of having a recall issued. I am not very happy with Land Rover!Maureen of Yorktown Heights, NY

I bought my 3rd Land Rover in 2017 after a long hiatus (after issues in 1998/2003). Almost immediately the infotainment screen began blacking out and rebooting all the time. It took 3 days for them to update this, it worked a bit better but it was not perfect. Whenever I called in for service, they would ask me if I was SURE I wanted to get it fixed (like, are you SURE you want to wait for how long it's going to take us) because they don't have loaner cars, and the technicians are slow to get to issues. This was April 2017. Forward to December. I am driving out of my neighborhood (I am at 5500' altitude) and I accelerate aggressively to get around an 18 wheeler as I am getting into high speed traffic coming down the mountain. My accelerator pulls from my foot, is flush with the floor, and tips at 85 mph with the RPM gauge redlining at 8000. The car is wobbling and shaking, I have zero control of it. I press the brake several times pretty hard/gentle and it finally pops out. I never drove the car again. (Note, the service person had the audacity to ask if I was sure I wasn't accidentally driving with both feet. Right. 1st gear at 8000 RPM. With my right foot on the brake. Yeah). Car was towed back to the dealership where I got it, 500 miles away, they offered me a decent trade amount, I trade up to a Supercharged regular Range Rover, with a hefty price tag. They put this car above back out on the lot for sale a few days later. The new car has issues almost immediately. The steering wheel jerking into left and right lanes at high speeds out of the blue. Techs said, "Oh disable your lane assist". So I did that, no help. I almost was jerked into an 18 wheeler on a curve on a highway in the rain the next day going 65mph. Then they say, "Oh, disable your blind spot warning". I did this as well. Of no help. I go in and uncheck the "driver assist" for both options, and it seems to help some. Then of course the black screen starts its visits, rebooting in the middle of driving or not coming on at all. Bluetooth calls dropping. The gear shift dial sticking (can't D to R or R to D or P) and with the computer rebooting randomly, coming back on during driving, all the cameras go nuts and start making sounds all over the place until it realizes that the car is actually DRIVING now, not trying to park. The dealership refunded my money for this one. I am forever grateful for that, they did step up. They did imply that LR's were more for appeal and looks and status than reliability and dependability. They say, it's a great car if you are ok with being in the shop, even better to live near one. I got a GMC Yukon Denali yesterday. It's amazing, and my breakup with Land Rover is complete. The accelerator incident was one of the scariest events of my life. I am not a panicky person, but I had nightmares for weeks after that one.Tracey of Reno, NV

The variety of the car is straightforward. It is good at travel on the land and road. It's a family car that is easy to drive and have a four load that can hold four people for great outings and road adventure. Great for trip where you want to get away and enough room to hold your stuff. This car has it all. It comes in a lot of different colours that and four gear steering, a leather seat that hold against the weather that nature bring plus a GPS that tell you where you need to be. It has a radio of the high variety.Sam of North Charleston, SC
