Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, United States. It was founded by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. Whether you’re looking for an entry into the van life or you need a well-equipped cargo van for business purposes, the 2021 Ford Transit can handle nearly anything you throw at it. Ford offers scores of configurations to fit into your needs, plus a host of driver-assistance features standard. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter offers greater payload capacity, and the Transit’s base price is higher than some rivals, but when pitted against the rest of the field of full-size vans, the Ford still rises to the top of the segment and earned an Editors' Choice award. The Transit’s handling is surprisingly adept for a vehicle it’s size and the cabin unexpectedly quiet. Whatever the job requirements or family needs, the Transit is up to it.

Product Reviews:

I bought a Ford car because I was tired of people in my community harassing me for not buying American. I previously owned a Toyota and a Mini Cooper. Sadly, Ford sold me a lemon. I took delivery on a Fiesta that came out of factory missing a wiring harness! I asked to replace this lemon. Instead, the service department at the dealership was sheepish about the problem. After a 40 minute wait, the workers emerged. They finally told me about the wiring harness after they said that it had already just been installed. Problem solved. There were other problems, but I racked up mileage and was told that my car is out of warranty, so I'd have to pay for the repairs. Now, I have a key fob problem. Both the customer service representatives and the dealership are giving me the run around because replacement costs run over $250. Every time I get someone on the phone, their response changes. I was better off NOT buying a Ford.

Paint is bubbling along edge of hood on passenger side. I understand, from other stories on Internet, prior TSBs and lawsuits, that this is due to contamination during painting (the hood is aluminum so would not rust). Ford and Ford dealer have no apparent interest in making this right.

Our 2011 Ford Edge has a leaky Transmission Power Unit (google "Ford TPU leak" to find more information), about 2,000 miles beyond than extended warranty. The cost to replace is estimated to be $1,800. I filed a case (**) with Ford and after multiple calls they still refuse to offer any compensation. This is the last Ford vehicle I will ever buy - why be loyal to Ford when their loyalty is a joke?

2007 mountaineer, 3 years of issues, dealership kept changing coils instead of checking intake manifold. Changed intake manifold and few coils that were replaced at dealership about ago. Now because of their incompetence, cost me time and money and now have two spark plugs that are oxidized and can't come out. Have to be broken. I been complaining about this going on 3 years with Ford and the dealership and no help. Enough is enough. My truck is well maintained, mint condition and I have to deal with all this ** for what?

Bought truck new in 2014, just after 3 years paint started peeling like a bad cancer. Truck is a highway princess platinum edition Took to 3 different auto body shops and they said definite QAQC problem from new, no primer and paint too thin. Ford will do nothing, customer service is horrible. I’ve been a die hard Ford lover, bought 3 new F350s in my life and after this disgusting experience will be the last. My company also owns several but will no longer be purchasing any more.

I have owned a Ford since I got my license at 16 years old. I have had nothing but issues with them, and I always think - I'll just try again. I will not be trying again. The last SUV I had was a Ford Edge. 58,000 miles the computer crashed it. Barely made warranty. 75k I had 2 different parts of the transmission go back to back, within months of each other. Shift solenoid one time, I believe the computer to the transmission the other. $4,000 later! Now, I have a 2015 Ford Fusion, bought brand new. I work from home and really do not drive a ton, but average, slightly under. Has 50,000 miles on it. It's already had the same shift solenoid transmission issue, and now it is back in the shop again - computer crashed. All done! The service guys are great, but the fact that this keeps happening on moderately new vehicles is absolutely unacceptable!

I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus as a new vehicle eight years ago. I soon regretted the decision after discovering other Focus owners had significant transmission issues and that the transmission was designed so the fluid could never be changed which suggested planned obsolescence to me. The transmission often shifted strangely despite periodic computer adjustments and tended to ride somewhat roughly in slow city driving. While I had concerns about its useful lifespan, my Focus did a low average job of getting me from point A to point B until recently. As someone who believes in getting value from their purchases, I had hoped to drive the car for 10 to 15 years from the time of purchase. This should not be an unreasonable expectation for someone who makes certain that their cars have good maintenance and put only limited mileage on a vehicle as I no longer have a daily commute. In April of this year, the car developed an excessive shudder. The vehicle was in the shop for several days and the clutch had to be replaced. One week ago, the vehicle would not start and seemed to be just a bad battery but the diagnostics showed a transmission control module problem. The part is on back order so as a previous post suggests it could be in the shop indefinitely. The mileage is still in the low 60s and the vehicle has been well maintained. The problem is the lack of quality in a failed transmission system rendering a vehicle useless before even reaching the 10 year milestone. I most definitely will never purchase another Ford product again.

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing. The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work. Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I don't know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign. I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

My daughter came to pick me up from work and noticed that our 1999 F150 truck was not sounding okay. After I got in and begin to drive, smoke begin to come up from the dashboard. Within minutes, the truck was consumed by fire and smoke that we barely got out of the truck in time. The truck was a total loss. It was very traumatic for me and my daughter. It resulted to a total loss on a vechicle that was paid off. I could not afford another truck or 4X4 vehicle, so I now have a car with payments. And I just got a notice in the mail for the recall--for possible tank fractures and fire. Great timing. I think that Ford is a big rip off.

My Ford E-250 work van is essential for my service work. I do routine maintenance on the van and it has performed reliably for more than fifteen years. Considering the vintage, the van's six cylinder V-6 (original motor) delivers surprisingly good gas mileage.
