Product Reviews:

2005 XG350 - Over the 7 years we have owned this car, we have been in for service on the airbag light around 10 times. During our warranty period, the dealer always had a quick fix and would reset the airbag light. Well 2 months after the air warranty expired and I should note only 50k miles in 5 years, they amazingly found the problem! It would only cost us $3,200 to repair! We fought with Hyundai and they repaired the problem, or so we thought! Now one year later the other seat's airbag has the same problem! Why does Hyundai play with safety? These cars should have been recalled!

This is not exactly what happened, but more like a what is about the Hyundai Elantra. I have just found this website when I decided to do some searching for Hyundai information, especially the Hyundai Elantra's so-called automatic transmission. You see, in July 2010, I was desperately in need of some good transportation for myself and my family, and I decided to take a look at Hyundai. I am embarrassed to say that I bought two Elantras at the same time. I'm even more embarrassed to admit that I traded a really nice Impala for them. OK, time to cut through the chase about the Elantra automatic. I have a very strong belief that Hyundai is under geared or lacks adequate gearing for the motor's power band. Admittedly, I'm no expert and unable to spew out technical jargon on the subject. But shortly after becoming an owner of my two Hyundais, I noticed that there was something very substandard about how these things shifted and accelerated. I've begun reading other people's reviews and I believe some of them are describing the very same condition, but maybe a little less technically aware of the actual problem. It's true that the vehicle will upshift during acceleration, putting the motor into a lugging state, if that is possible for a gasoline motor as it is for a diesel motor. Just to reiterate, I'm not an expert on the subject but actually would love to hear someone's expert opinion on the matter. Anyhow, these people are right such as Della of Omaha, NE - i.e. during normal acceleration. The vehicle shifts, then has very little power and begins to chug and vibrate so you have to punch the accelerator to go back down into the gear you just upshifted from. The condition is somewhat circumvented the more rapidly you accelerate, but soon you may find the RPMs back in that inadequate power range. I don't think this poses a problem for salespeople during a test drive because they know most people are going to punch the accelerator to see how it accelerates, meanwhile not noticing this annoying flaw. Now there is something in the driver's manual about manually downshifting for some situations and I think this can help some, but I think there is a tendency to forget to shift back into high gear. So to me, that makes it questionable about whether or not the vehicle is really automatic shifting, even though it is technically an automatic transmission. I've heard people saying they went to the dealer experiencing this condition. I'm not surprised they're not acknowledging a problem with the vehicle. After all, they knew about it when they sold it to you. Without quoting right from the warranty, I'm pretty sure it says something about vehicle performance that is characteristic to all the vehicles deems it to be normal. I would guess it's a car company's right to sell you a crappy car, and the dealers too. It just proves people will do anything for a buck, even to whip out their Motor Trend magazine where it was their car of the year. So how did that happen, are they a creditable magazine? I just think they knew they were building a crappy car and they got people going around saying it's great.

Hyundai Accent GLS is reliable and gets good gas mileage. Accelerates quickly and smoothly. Came with a 100k mile warranty. Smooth driving experience and right turning radius. Easy to maneuver. I like that it has bluetooth, CD player, ac, spacious for a car its size, power locks and windows and comfortable seating. But the bumper is very low and catches on parking spot barriers easily. Power lock should be on trunk too. Heated seats would be nice, as the Elantra has them.

I have purchased 3 new Hyundais in the last 4 1/2 years. I would consider myself a loyal customer. On 8/19/18 I stopped at Jenkins Hyundai in Ocala, FL. to purchase my 4th Hyundai in 4 1/2 years. I had with me the internet information on the SUV I was going to purchase. Listed below plus the window sticker posted on their website.Detailed Pricing. Stock # : Y5005 / VIN : KM8J33A21JU683376. $30,800MSRP. $1,000Savings. $29,800 No-Haggle Price. $2,500 Hyundai Offer. $500 Hyundai Offer. $26,800 Final Price. $500 Conditional Offer. $500 Conditional Offer. $400 Conditional Offer. When I sat down to purchase the SUV I was told the price was just a little over $35,800 because of the added dealer extras. This information wasn't listed on the website (as you can see above). I came to the dealership to negotiate the price listed above $26,800 and was told I could purchase the SUV for $32,800 plus tags, taxes and a dealer prep fee of $899.00. As you can see above "$26,800 Final Price". Only a fool would fall for this scam!I ask why they didn't list the $35,800 on the internet and their answer was "we don't have to". This is totally dishonest! In doing some more research on the SUV and cars on the Jenkins lot I discovered most if not all are priced this way and are not listed on the website. They are all similar to the deal I was served up. The bottom line is that the website price is a scam to get you to the dealership so they can rip you off. This was a horrible experience. At previous dealerships when purchasing a Hyundai I was treated with respect and they negotiated in GOOD FAITH! You should be ashamed for having a crooked dealerships like this one!

I own a 2008 Tucson. I needed a small suv so I could see the traffic ahead, but some suvs were too big/High. With a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, the company believes in its product and my experience proves it.

I purchased a used 2007 Hyundai Sonata in June of this year. Two weeks after I got it the engine blew. A rod went out the bottom of the engine, through the oil pan, and onto the freeway. This was a known problem and a major recall for the newer models. Since my car wasn’t included in the recall, even though it’s the same exact problem that has caused a major recall, Hyundai won’t do anything about it. So, let me understand this Hyundai... Because of your engineering incompetence and poor customer service I am now responsible for finding $4000 to replace the engine? If it wasn’t a known flaw I’d be happy to say I had some bad luck and that it was just too bad. But this makes me so upset to be treated like I did something wrong by expecting something to be done about their faulty product. I’m not asking for a brand new car, I just want my car fixed and even a used engine would be fine! I’m not asking for too much I don’t think. I have contacted Hyundai and their response was that it’s out of warranty so tough luck. Yeah, thanks Hyundai, never again!!

I recently purchased a 2012 certified Equus. Love the car but a couple of issues. I also purchased the extended 10 year - 100,000 mile warranty. The front grill when hit by stones or something, the fake chrome starts to crack and bubble. I replace the top piece, Hyundai says it's not covered. Now I have the same problem on another piece. Top of the line car - this should not be happening. Also there is a smell coming from the heating/ac system, sometimes worse than others. I have replaced all filters, ozoned the car over night, air fresheners. Nothing works and no answers from Hyundai.

My wife purchased a 2006 NEW Hyundai Sonata. We have always been avid "AM News" Listeners and from day 1 the radio was worse than Poor for "AM". We complained and complained and all they ever said was that the antenna in the rear window was a poor design for an antenna and that was the problem. Well, my wife just purchased a New 2014 Hyundai Sonata and I took the 2006 - since I drive far less miles annually - and now I was determined to get to the problem. When I would drive the car sometimes going over a bump on the road would instantly increase the radio's reception but it would last then go back to crappy again. Sometimes as I would start the car and back out of the garage the reception would be great - then 5 minutes later it was back to crap. One day, in the garage, as I was backing out - the reception was jumping back and forth from Poor - Good - Poor to Good - so I whacked the dashboard over the radio with my hand and there was "DEAD SILENCE". I turned the car off and then back on and the radio came on but with the typical Weak reception.I purchase the Haynes/Chilton Auto Repair Guide, for the 2006 Hyundai as well a CD Hyundai Shop Manuals, and watched several YouTube videos on how to remove the radio. With the radio removed and exposed - but connected - I started wiggling/moving the antenna cable around and sure enough the reception would go to Great - Poor - and NONE. As I was holding the radio with one hand and changing the station with the other hand I also noticed that if my hand squeezed or put pressure on the top and bottom of the radio - on the Antenna connection side - (in order to hold the radio) the Reception might also go from Great to Poor to None.I could see that the antenna cable connector was CHEAP looking with the center core of the cable soldered - but the Ground wires were crimped and DID NOT look there was a good connection. So I went to Radio Shack and purchased another Motorola Antenna Connector and re-did the connection to the cable. With the radio still exposed and the antenna cable connected with the new Radio Shack connector the radio sounded great. And squeezing didn't seem to have any effect as before. So I put the radio back in and left the pods on the sides of the radio disconnected - temporarily. The measured depth of the New Radio Shack Connector was slightly "Longer" than the original Cable Connector so it was putting some pressure on the cable and the connection and the radio began to act -up again when installed so I removed the radio (which removed the pinching pressure on the cable) and the radio worked fine.So now it is possible that there is a bad connection, internally, on the Female part of the Antenna cable connection to the radio. I tested the continuity for the Ground and hot points to the cable connection - while I had the radio out and they tested "OK" - but the test was not under a pressure stress, either. So the bottom line is that Hyundai Continues to LIE and ** about the AM Radio Problems with the 2006 Sonatas. Unlike the most recent excuse from Hyundai Service at Lester Glenn in Toms River, New Jersey, the problem is NOT with the Rear Window-Designed Antenna - it's the cheap Connectors, Crappy Radios and the ** Service people who don't want to do their job of fixing your car under warranty. My wife took out the 100,000 miles / 10 year Bumper to Bumper Extended Warranty with Hyundai when she bought the car so now - After 6-8 Hours of MY TIME and the expenses to buy workshop materials - I am going to raise Hell with Hyundai USA!

2021 iconic does not support Apple phones even though they have Apple iplay icon in car. USB port does not work either. Although there is one in the car. Salespeople do not know this. Salesperson said my iPhone would work in the car. It does not. I sent an email to customer service. The form letter they sent back said they put what they feel the customer wants in the car. Really? Do you believe the customer doesn’t want to be able to use iPhones (really). And I mean any generation iPhone. I cannot use my phone GPS with Apple iplay or even my phone. Why would anyone not want to be able to use their iphone functions in a 2021 new car. No help or assistance from dealer or Hyundai. Will never buy a Hyundai again. They do not stand by their cars or even offer any type of resolution. Beware.

Had to use Hyundai roadside assistance on my 2019 Ioniq to get the car from my home to the dealer. This process was easy and efficient and I give them 5 stars. After a day, local service dept. called and said I need a new hybrid battery (after only 2 years!!) and they are out of stock with no ETA. This dealer has no loaner car program so I am stuck without transportation. Called Corporate Hyundai and now awaiting a callback. Have had prior issues with the car but were fixed under warranty. Jury is out on how Hyundai will help me out. Not happy with the quality of the car since it wasn’t cheap.
