nearby Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 parts
Chevrolet, colloquially referred to as Chevy and formally the Chevrolet Division of General Motors Company, is an American automobile division of the American manufacturer General Motors
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 represents the most extreme iteration of the C8 platform to date. Positioned above the high-performance Z06, the ZR1 pushes the boundaries of American supercar engineering. It combines advanced aerodynamics, race-derived chassis components, and a brand-new twin-turbocharged engine—creating the most powerful production Corvette ever built.
Engine and Performance
At the core of the 2025 ZR1 is the new LT7 engine—a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 based on the flat-plane LT6 found in the Z06. It delivers an estimated 1,000+ horsepower and over 800 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful internal combustion engine Chevrolet has ever installed in a street-legal vehicle.
This engine maintains a high-revving character (redline above 8,000 rpm) while incorporating forced induction for exponential power gains. The inclusion of twin turbochargers marks the first time a C8-generation Corvette receives factory turbos. The sound profile is distinct—less raw than the Z06 but more forceful, with a deeper and more urgent tone.
The ZR1 utilizes the same 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission found in the Stingray and Z06, but it is tuned and reinforced to handle the increased torque. The ZR1 is expected to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 2.3 seconds, with quarter-mile times in the mid-9-second range. Top speed is estimated to exceed 215 mph, depending on aerodynamic configuration.
Chassis and Suspension
The ZR1 retains the C8’s mid-engine layout and benefits from a widened track, upgraded suspension, and carbon-ceramic braking system. Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 is standard and calibrated specifically for the ZR1’s increased performance demands.
Chevrolet also offers the ZTK Performance Package, which includes stiffer suspension settings, a more aggressive front splitter, underbody aero enhancements, and a towering rear wing designed for maximum downforce. With the ZTK package, the ZR1 can generate more than 1,000 pounds of aerodynamic downforce at high speed.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R or Pilot Sport 4S, depending on the package selected, and are mounted on staggered wheels—20-inch fronts and 21-inch rears. Lightweight carbon-fiber wheels are available as an option.
Braking and Stability
Braking performance is handled by Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, standard on all ZR1 models. These are larger and more powerful than the Z06's setup and provide excellent thermal resistance and fade-free operation in high-performance environments.
Stability is aided by an active electronic limited-slip differential, performance traction management systems, and track-ready ABS calibration. These components are designed to manage the ZR1’s immense power while maintaining composure under hard cornering and high-speed acceleration.
Exterior Design
The 2025 ZR1 adopts a more aggressive and aerodynamically focused appearance than the Z06. Key exterior features include:
A revised front fascia with larger air intakes.
A taller and more functional rear wing (on ZTK-equipped models).
Enhanced cooling ducts for the brakes and engine.
Functional hood vents to extract heat and reduce lift.
Widened fenders to accommodate larger tires.
The rear deck area is also slightly redesigned, and the exhaust system features quad tips, centrally located just as in the Z06.
Interior Features
Inside, the ZR1 maintains the same driver-focused cockpit as other C8 Corvettes, with specific trim and badging to distinguish it. Options and trims are similar to those offered in the Z06:
1LZ Trim: Standard seats, Bose audio system, leather-trimmed dash, and full digital displays.
2LZ Trim: Adds upgraded infotainment, performance data recorder, and enhanced driver assistance.
3LZ Trim: Includes GT2 seats with leather and carbon-fiber accents, microsuede upper trim, and additional customization options.
Infotainment is powered by an 8-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and performance telemetry. A 12-inch digital instrument cluster is standard and configurable.
Production and Pricing
Chevrolet has confirmed that the 2025 Corvette ZR1 will enter limited production starting mid-to-late 2025, with dealership availability expected to begin before the end of the year.
Pricing is expected to begin at approximately $175,000 USD for the base model, with the fully optioned ZTK Performance Package and 3LZ trim likely pushing prices beyond $200,000 USD. Limited availability and dealer markups may further affect final purchase costs, especially during the early months of release.
Driving Experience
Early driving impressions from industry insiders and test drivers suggest that the ZR1 offers a more refined and composed experience than the Z06, despite its additional power. Its turbocharged engine delivers smoother low-end torque, making it more drivable in day-to-day scenarios, while retaining explosive acceleration when the throttle is pushed.
Compared to the Z06, the ZR1 is less visceral in sound but more relentless in speed. It offers a better balance of comfort and performance, making it a more suitable GT-style car without sacrificing track capability. However, the ride is firmer than the base Stingray, and road noise is more pronounced due to the aggressive tire setup.
Competition and Segment
The 2025 ZR1 is aimed at competing with high-end performance vehicles including:
Porsche 911 Turbo S.
McLaren Artura.
Ferrari 296 GTB.
Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica.
While these European supercars often carry higher price tags, the ZR1 aims to deliver comparable (or better) performance at a significantly lower cost. Its mid-engine layout, advanced suspension, and extreme aerodynamics place it in direct contention with these brands in terms of real-world track results.
Conclusion
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 sets a new benchmark for American performance. With its twin-turbocharged flat-plane V8, lightweight chassis, and cutting-edge aerodynamics, it represents the peak of internal combustion engineering for the Corvette nameplate. It combines raw power with sophistication, track speed with road comfort, and exotic performance with (relatively) attainable pricing.
For enthusiasts looking for a true American alternative to European supercars, the ZR1 may be the most compelling Corvette yet—pushing beyond even the Z06’s already extreme envelope.

In February 2017 I purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe with 26 miles, brand new. When it hit 2000 miles, the Tahoe stopped by itself, took it to the dealership, found nothing. Second time at 3300 again it stopped, stalled, took it again, found nothing. Third time 4500, took it in, replaced negative battery cable. Fourth time 5357, took it in, replaced fuse box. Really. Unbelievable. Frustrated, not confident in vehicle, safety issue. What to do, suggestions. Anyone.Olivia of El Paso, TX

The initial quality of my Avalanche was great. Then the bottom fell out. At 30,000 miles the inner workings of my dashboard had to be replaced. At 50,000 miles the engine had to be replaced. But before those things happened, I was in and out of the shop while GM was repairing those items piecemeal. Now at 130,000, it’s running better than it ever has, ”after tons of repairs“!Gilbert of Kansas City, Missouri

I was ripped off. On several occasions I was told I needed work done and I asked isn't that covered under my warranty and was told no each time. A year later, a 5th time in was told the same thing, I found out all the work was covered under my warranty. I had to fight to get my money back and they did nothing extra for me for what they put me through.Sherry of Henderson, Nevada

We purchased a 2016 Chevy Impala for my husband. In the 3 years we have had the vehicle, we have replaced the following items: 2 batteries, 1 starter, 1 purge valve. I am writing a review today in regards to the purge valve. Our check engine light came on and so we took it to our mechanic. The mechanic stated that the purge valve needed to be replaced, so we replaced it. 3 days after we paid for the repair, a letter in the mail came from Chevy stating the purge valve may be bad and to take it to the dealership to be replaced. Since we already replaced the valve, I applied for the reimbursement. Chevy is denying my reimbursement since it was not done at the dealership. This is the last Chevy we will ever own.Melissa of Gilbert, AZ

First 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in Sept 2016. Driver fueled up, drove about 20 to 40 miles, truck's fuel filter light came on, truck stopped on interstate. As of 01/09/2017, truck is not fixable and still in shop. Loan company have called to come get it. I cannot fix it and cannot pay for it. This is one of three trucks I have for running freight on flatbeds. My trucks have to run to make payments. Second 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in the exact same manner, right down to fueling and driving a little way, and stopping. Metal shavings found in fuel system. This will put my small trucking business out of business. "NOTE" Both trucks bought at the same time, from same dealer, and drove off the lot the same day.Craig of Columbia, TN

I really wanted a Jeep and bought one. For the three month that I had it was broke down more than I drove. They kept fixing it until the guy said it was enough so they offered me a Equinox. It drives nice, it’s good on gas, the only thing is I’ve went from a eight cylinder to a four, big difference! Would still go for a Jeep! My dream!Kim of Saint Louis, Michigan
