Chevrolet Camaro Z mechanics in my area
Chevrolet, colloquially referred to as Chevy and formally the Chevrolet Division of General Motors Company, is an American automobile division of the American manufacturer General Motors
The 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z refers to the high-performance variants of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Specifically, the Camaro Z/28 and the Camaro ZL1 were available in the 2015 model year. Both models offered a range of features and performance enhancements. Here are the key features of each model:
2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28:
Engine: The Camaro Z/28 was powered by a massive 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine, producing around 505 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: It came with a 6-speed manual transmission, providing drivers with full control over the high-performance vehicle.
Aerodynamics: The Z/28 featured aerodynamic enhancements, including a unique front splitter, fender flares, side skirts, and a large rear spoiler, all designed to improve downforce and stability at high speeds.
Lightweight Construction: The Z/28 was optimized for performance with weight-saving measures, including lightweight wheels, thinner rear glass, and reduced sound insulation.
Brakes and Suspension: It came with upgraded Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and a track-tuned suspension, making it a formidable track performer.
Recaro Seats: Inside, the Z/28 featured supportive and grippy Recaro sport seats, along with a minimalist interior design.
2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1:
Engine: The Camaro ZL1 was powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine, producing around 580 horsepower and 556 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: It was equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Magnetic Ride Control: The ZL1 featured GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension system, which continuously adjusted the dampers for improved handling and ride quality.
Performance Upgrades: The ZL1 came with a performance-tuned exhaust, upgraded brakes, and a specially tuned stability control system to handle the increased power.
Design: The ZL1 had unique styling elements, including a more aggressive front fascia, hood, and rear diffuser, to differentiate it from the standard Camaro models.
Interior Features: Inside, the ZL1 offered sporty and comfortable seats, premium materials, and advanced infotainment options.
Both the Camaro Z/28 and ZL1 were designed for enthusiasts seeking high-performance driving experiences. While the Z/28 focused on track-oriented performance with its lightweight and aerodynamic enhancements, the ZL1 combined raw power with modern suspension technology for a more well-rounded driving experience.
Keep in mind that features and specifications can vary depending on the specific trim level and optional packages chosen for each model.

Product Reviews:
In 2015 I bought a brand new Chevy Sonic so that I would not have to put money into a car besides maintenance. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.Alyshia of Chicago, IL

I bought a brand new 2016 Silverado in 2016 and have put 72000 (highway) miles on it. Took it into my local Chevy dealership because of a transmission shudder and whine right before shifting to the next gear. Torque converter is failing sending metal shavings through my transmission and destroying it. A bill of greater than 5500 for this transmission is absurd but not as crazy as a 3 year old transmission failing. Must be why they lowered the drivetrain warranty from 100k to only 60k. Have been a Chevy guy all my life, now looking into other brands due to their lack of standing behind a crap product.Meagan of Bridgeport, TX

Too bad GM killed this car. 2018 is the last year for the 6 speed manual. Not even available in the 2019, and now, GM thought it was a great marketing move to kill all of their cars that normal people can afford. My car has been very reliable, and on a recent Buffalo to Chicago trip, averaged nearly 50 MPG. It also has a great deal of useable power and torque with the manual box. A 1.3 litre turbo 4 is not the slug you might expect. I don't want an SUV or truck of ANY kind. I want a car that's fun to drive and handles well. That's why GM is getting it back in a week when my lease is up - and isn't leasing me anything else. After leasing me my last 4 cars. I've replaced it with a 21 year old car in excellent condition, which pays for itself in about a year of not making payments. Now I can buy something really fun instead - another motorcycle!William of Buffalo, NY

Until everything started going wrong with this car. When I got the car I was told right away that I need to get the two latest recalls one for the ignition switch and the other one was for the electronic power steering motor -- which was done without delay. One month after this one of my headlights started getting water damage and both of the bulbs stopped working (150$ repair). Right after this my driver side speaker stopped working (which makes the blinker noise - another 150$ repair). The next issue that occurred was my whole power system unit stopped working (not even two months past getting the EPM recall fixed - 1200$ GM only repair) which resulted in them breaking my steering wheel cover (that they weren't trying to tell me about or fix). The steering wheel was crooked and didn't drive straight (told the GM dealership and there wasn't anything wrong with it supposedly). Reported this to the appreciate channels -- Chevy shouldn't be able to get away with this kind of malfunction when the problem was identical to the EPM malfunction. Of course, no recall or any form of help came of it. Not even one month later and my gear shifter it almost getting to the point where it won't go into gear (hard almost stuck like feeling to get it into position). Once again GM dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.Finally weeks after this issue my check engine light is on (yet to be diagnosis), have a feeling I'm not going to be happy with whatever is broken this time. I seriously hate this car so much and I have low mileage. My 04 Chevy cavalier (that was burning oil, and ran dry a few times) never gave me any problems and ran like a champ. I seriously hate this Cobalt and the Chevy dealership I've taken the cobalt to. As soon as I can I'm getting rid of this car and never ever going to buy another Chevy (it use to be the only brand I've ever bought but your newer models are lemons).Chevy found a way to get their newer models to a certain mileage and then one by one everything stops working or malfunctions! I've never spend so much in one year on car repairs and they call the Cobalts sure money savers and even found a way for local news programs to market them like they are cherry cars. DO NOT BUY A COBALT OR ANY NEWER CHEVY MODEL-- YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET YOU EVER DID.Sentury of Denver, CO

I have a love fair with the Chevrolet for years because of the style of the vehicles they come out with every year. I have owned 7 different Chevrolet vehicles since I started buying vehicles. The vehicles handle very and they are comfortable and the interior is just beautiful in them.Kenneth of Green Bay, Wisconsin

I bought a 2015 Traverse LT with 25k miles on it in June 2016 from a dealerships. Now (as of April 2019) I have approximately 88k miles. It has been a complete piece of junk as compared to my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Traverse AC system broke ($600) had a partial transmission failure ($2k) rear driveshaft needed to be replaced ($1k), front suspension had to be completely replaced ($1,600)... This car is poorly made and I deeply regret purchasing it. In addition the interior is cheap and the bottom of the front seat is coming apart. Super disappointed in this car. I intentionally bought an American made car and really wish I didn’t. Chevrolet should be ashamed of themselves.Matt of Peru, VT

The truck is full of problem. I bought my truck with few miles. The transmission went off at 80,000 miles. The radio stop working, black screen, no sound. The door locks stop working, not able to use the remote to lock or unlock the doors. Very frustrated experience.Gervin of Houston, TX

I'm really pleased with my Equinox. Drives GREAT. Good gas mileage. Zero things to dislike about the car. Buying it, and dealing with Chevrolet has not been satisfactory. Problem 1: Chevrolet wants to sell On-Star. Fine. I don't want it. Eventually, On-Star called me one day when I started the car. I could't shut it off. Chevy was broadcasting an add into my car, without my consent. I was so mad. They got me to press the "button". I tried to be nice to the operator. But, told them "no", and don't do that again. And, "yes", someone can contact me about this. No one every has done so. Bottom line: Chevy could not PAY ME to own On-Star. (I've designed electronics for 40 years. I bet I can disconnect the antenna).Problem 2: I love the multi-media center. But occasionally, they lock it up with a text message. It is a warning that I should not look at the screen while driving. And, I must acknowledge by pressing OK to release the screen. How hypocritical that I should read, and acknowledge a long text before the screen functions. I would like to punch the attorney whose idea this is in the nose, and then in the groin (hypothetically, of course). That is a piece of software that is broken!John of West Chester, OH

I find my Camaro SS to be a very fun and enjoyable car to drive. Sounds and handles excellent. I'm a little upset that my HUD is no longer working and is not covered under my extended warranty. I am very happy with the car. Not happy with the service department of the closest dealership where I like to get the car serviced. Chevy did an awesome job with the Camaro, the seats are comfortable, it's easy to get in and out of, like my bigger cars, trunk is a great size, even with the top down. It's all around a great car!Diana of North Haven, CT

I have always said Chevrolet was the best vehicles; but I was wrong. My next car will NOT be a Chevrolet. I bought a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu in 2020 with approximately 40,000 miles. In November of 2021 the car just died as I was driving. My mechanic finally discovered the issue. An electric modulator went out. Since I bought the car used, Chevrolet refused to cover the cost. Thanks Chevrolet for nothing. Won’t waste my money again.Lisa of Clay, KY
