Volkswagen Jetta GLI service call

Volkswagen AG, known internationally as the Volkswagen Group, is a German multinational automotive manufacturing corporation headquartered in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany.

The Volkswagen Jetta GLI continues to live in the shadow of its mechanical sibling, the Golf GTI. Despite the Jetta sharing the same lively 210-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and being fitted with beefier brakes and sportier suspensions, it’s the GTI that gets the glory. Maybe it’s the Golf's convenient hatchback design? To its credit, the Jetta GLI offers a similarly impressive amount of trunk volume, along with easier entry to an adult-friendly rear seat. A snooze-inducing exterior is probably the one thing holding the Jetta GLI back from greatness.

Product Reviews:

When purchasing a VW product be aware of the total cost of ownership. Many VW parts are proprietary and the Company charges accordingly. For example, changing the battery on a key fob - $75 (requires programming), to replacing a door latch (including labor) $471.57, supplying an air conditioning hose (part only) $368.39. These are actual prices. When asked about their pricing policy VW North American provided an answer containing verbiage but no substance.

My car polo 2015 started fire with no reason. Me my family and neighbors were going to be killed just because we trusted Volkswagen products. Police and consumer protection agency proves that it is manufacturing error but the company refuse to take accountability for their mistakes. Please share as wide as you can to expose their scandal!!

I purchased a brand-new model of 2016 VW Golf GTI last year. I haven't driven it much, which only has less than 4000 miles on it now. Recently, I had a flat tire due to the poor quality of Hankook tire (made in Korea) used by VW manufacturer. My flat tire happened when I was driving on a freeway (in very good condition) when the passenger side front tire suddenly burst a hole in its sidewall with no road hazard present. I called VW local dealership but was told to contact Hankook (the tire maker) directly by myself.Hankook did not follow the company's established procedure for handling tire warranty, but rushed to an arbitrary judgement on tire damage in its own favor, insisting on saying it was caused by road hazard. It never allowed the local VW dealership to fill out a tire warranty coverage claim form on my behalf. I paid $200+ out of my own pocket for tire replacement. I deeply regret that VW chose Hankook over other better tire brands. Hankook tire's poor quality makes VW vehicles prone to road accidents. It also makes VW look cheap. For these reasons, I would strongly advise fellow motorists not to consider VW Golf GTI among their purchasing options.

I purchased a 2013 Volkswagen Passat in February 2013 which just turned three years old. I have had several recalls and none have become available. The warranty on this vehicle has just run out and I am having some of the same problems with the brakes while the car was under warranty. I am also having issues with the door locks. Whenever I stop at a traffic light or stop sign, the doors lock each time. I can hear the clicking. I took the vehicle into Napleton's which is located in Champaign, and I was told that it would cost me $457.00. Of course I was upset. I then asked for the contact information for Volkswagen's Customer Care and I ended up getting a number online.I began this call 1 hours 12 minutes and 30 seconds ago. No one has picked up the call yet. I am not sure why I am having these issues after the warranty ended. I plan on writing a letter. Let's see how that turns out. I would say to you, if you choose to purchase one of these vehicles to ensure that everything is covered by having the service department at your dealership check it and document it. I have no intentions of paying Napleton's $457 to repair a problem that they should fix for free. If I have to pay, I will take it to another dealership to get it repaired. I will definitely think again before I purchase another VW.

A VW shop has had my car for over two weeks and come to find out the timing chain tensioner malfunctioned and broke the chain and the cam. I reached out to VW for help to pay the repair cost on a car that only has 56,000 miles and shouldn't be having engine trouble such as this. Well the response from VW was that they would not help. Then I find out there is a lawsuit against VW for this very issue. I reached back out to VW and they still said no due to my VIN number did not match the cars with this issue. Funny how my car was a year newer model but still had the same issue. I will never again recommend that anyone buy a VW for they don't stand behind their product.

I have had by far the WORST experience with VW. I thought it was only the 1 dealership I went to but I have went to multiple and they are all the same. They will scam you out of every single penny you own. They have terrible customer service, you have to wait hours to get anything fixed. Don’t EVER lease a car with them or you will end up basically paying for the entire car and then having to give it back. They are a scam. They have recalls all the time. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another VW again.

Bought a 'brand new' Volkswagen Beetle two months ago from West Cape Volkswagen. It was delivered with a fault on the sunroof and with the central locking function. Taken to the dealer's workshop three times, each time failing to fix the problem and adding more problems. Now the headlights don't work either and I am unable to drive after dark or in bad weather. The car was also returned with a dent in the dash, for which the dealer is not accepting responsibility. They refuse to replace the vehicle, insisting on trying to fix it yet again. Took it to the nearest dealer today to get the lights fixed just so I can get by over the weekend. They couldn't assist. They advised me to call out the roadside assistance, which I did, only for them to pull up their shoulders in ignorance too. Over R300k spent on a car that is unsafe, not roadworthy and with several faults and damages caused by the dealership. Think twice about buying Volkswagen. What should have been the pleasure of a new car is now much more trouble than its worth. Volkswagen SA keeps referring me back to the dealer and refuses contact with their senior management.

VW did not make good on a recall. The clock spring recall cost me $847.00 to fix on my 2012 GTI and VW will not honor the recall. Now they say my VIN number was not on the list like the ones before and after my car. VW cannot be trusted with owner safety. Please don't buy VW for your own safety.

They refuse to help or admit a problem exists with the engine. They made a crappy engine that burns oil way too fast and they will not fix it. But they gave me a $1000.00 voucher to buy another Volkswagen.

Don't ever buy or lease a vehicle from Lewisville VW. The only good thing about this dealership is the service department. I leased a VW beetle and loved the car itself but slick willie and the car dealership owner talked me into a bad deal. My husband was dying of cancer and I feel like I really wasn't thinking straight so I went back to the dealership and ended up with a 4 door Jetta SE. I felt like I was so taken advantage of, it was ridiculous. I will never ever buy another VW from this dealership again!!! Now, I have a car that costs too much money along with tons of medical bills and husband eventually passed away! So dissatisfied.
