2003 Ram truck 1500 Crew PU 4x4 Quad - I purchased my Ram new in 2003 and absolutely love this truck. I take very good care of my truck and in return it takes very good care of me. Last week I had a roll over - sideways luckily and walked away without a scratch. This truck is built like a tank. Though the insurance company totaled it, I was offered a fair amount of settlement and intend to fix my baby up. Now, I did hear from several sources in multiple states that Dodges newer trucks are way below the quality level of their older models such as mine. What I cant determine is exactly when (what year) Dodge started messing with a very, very strong, dependable vehicle. So, for you folks that purchased a newer Dodge truck, I regret that you will not be experiencing the wonderful, dependable, strong truck of years ago. Dodge, you messed up and are losing and will continue to lose the large number of faithful Ram customers because you decided to ruin a wonderful product... So, so sad.

My radio on my 2012 Ram hasnt worked right for a couple months. Sometimes it will come on but most of the time it wont. It only affects the AM and FM, CD player working and serious radio work. Of course Dodge wont back their products up. Very disappointed, will buy something different next time.

Completely undependable. Too many problems to list here. In the shop with great frequency. Significant safety issues. Service Department doesnt know how to fix it. Chrysler ignoring warranty and refuses to buy the vehicle back. This is the first Chrysler (Ram) product I have ever purchased and it will be the LAST!! This truck was in the shop with just over 1000 miles on it having major components replaced and almost two years later it continues to be undependable, unsafe, glitchy, and in the Service Department repeatedly. Chrysler refuses to stand behind their product, they have ignored the warranty, they have treated me like I am fabricating issues to the point that I have started taking pictures/video of incidents that occur to prove these issues are occurring. They refuse to buy the truck back, they dont care that some of the problems are safety concerns, they just want their money and dont give a damn about the customer (who is apparently NEVER right!!). Worst vehicle experience of my life!

2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4 X 4 - I just have to blow off steam. My husbands truck engine froze while working. Had the truck brought into Ray Brandt Dealership where it was purchased new from. 1st off on an expensive truck it is hard for me to believe that there is NO loaner that could be offered while checking my husbands truck out. After 3 weeks of me calling every other day we find out it is not covered under the Drive train warranty!!! Really? Abdul stated that Chrysler denied the claim, said the maintenance invoices looked fake? OMG and a rod was broken inside which suggests it was starved for oil? SO now I have a truck payment and 2 bills (1 for a rental) and 2 for a new engine that would not be covered. Why do we keep receipts for maintenance? They dont accept them anyway. I am very unhappy with Chrysler and his truck along with my 300 will be traded in and never buy another Chrysler product.... Shame on you, Chrysler.........

We have 2 such pickups at this household and have exact same complaints. We paid over $1100.00 for a GPS/Uconnect system in these vehicles both of which are almost totally worthless. Both of these vehicles are equipped to tow Trailers and both are used to tow Rv Travel Trailers. This crappy GPS sends you on wild goose chases, back roads etc. Its not designed to be used in a tow vehicle at all but there it is and no one wants to step up to the plate and make even a small effort to fix the situation. The dealer says its a product installed at the factory which is not made by Chrysler. I say Chrysler installed it. Its their responsibility to stand behind it and make it work as its advertised to do.I recently went to Canada and it actually showed me driving through fields where no roads exist and the Rt 1 highway I was on has been there over 7 years. Driving south through Maine on Interstate 95, my destination was KOA Campground in Freeport. It told me to exit 95 43 miles before the campground which I done towing a 30-foot trailer. It then proceeded to take me on 5 different country 2 lane roads only to cross 95 two exits below where it told me to exit.Next issue, WiFi. A monthly fee of 34.99 is supposed to give WiFi service up to 150 feet from vehicle. Well that 150 feet is more truthfully 20 feet MAX and the service is so slow. The accessory timer built in the RAM (15 to 20) Minutes shuts power off before you can get connected to a website. This family actually likes both of these vehicles but the High Dollar accessories suck. We will not be buying another RAM Product Simply because of service from Chrysler sucks. The Dealer has tried a lot of things to help but I see it as their hands are tied from no support as Paul Harvey said, PAGE 2.

Ram Country Dodge in Del Rio, TX, I had an appointment for the recall on the 2011 Dodge 3500. I was told it would take 2 hours. I left it at noon, went to pick it up at 6 pm because after several calls, it still wasnt finished mainly because they havent even started on it. Finally, after speaking to the owner, I was told they would have it done in 30 minutes.Several weeks later, the truck died while I was driving it. It was towed to Crenwelge Motors in Fredricksburg, TX where we were told after 5 days of being there, that the recall had never been done and that the fuel pump in the tank was not working. The day the truck was picked up and driven about 45 miles back to Mason, TX, it was still having some sort of problem. So on the 7th of August, it was taken to All American Chrysler in San Angelo, TX. It is still there and we were told that there are 7 errors coming up on the computer. We are not happy at all with the fact that we have a brand new truck and the problems and the runaround we have gotten. Our daughter drives that truck and is in college and needs it. I would like someone to get in touch with me immediately.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 that I bought brand new. Since I have had the truck, several components have failed-- transmission wiring, emission control system, wheel bearings, tail light wiring, control module, powering steering pump, transfer case and now the ignition. This was my first brand new truck to own and it turns out to be a lemon that Dodge does not care about or will do anything about. I have talked to several individuals through Dodge and they all seem not to care. I also have talked to many other people who own Dodge trucks and they told me that they will never own another Dodge product. This company has a long road ahead of it if some kind of action is not taken. And youre welcome Dodge for the taxpayers bailing you out.

I have 2 Dodge Rams. One’s a ‘03 1500 Quad Cab with 4.7. Other is a ‘06 2500 Quad Cab. I bought the ‘03 in ‘05, and the ‘06 about a year ago. I bought the ‘03 with 20,000 miles, it now has 257,000. Ive never had to do anything to it besides routine maintenance and suspension of course. And bought the 06 with 90,000 miles. Now has 127,000 and still no problems. I take great care of mine and never hard on them. I have quite a bit of friends who drives Rams and none of them has trouble really. So I dont know why so many people has problems with them. It’s the only truck Ill ever buy.

Called Chrysler about recall notice and was given a tarp-like cover for the front of my vehicle. Basically told there is no fix, it is a manufacturing defect and cannot be fixed. Put this tarp on your vehicle if the temp drops below -1C or 30 degrees F. Therefore, I paid for a $75,000.00 (tax included) that must have this cover on it in order to drive in cold weather. (I remember 40 yrs ago putting a piece of cardboard in front the radiator of my car to improve the heat, it is now 2015 and nothing seems to have changed.) Otherwise, a warning light comes on then the vehicle goes into limp mode (max speed 30 mph). If this happens I was told to find a warm garage and park the truck in it until it warms up. I can see this happening on a 400 series hwy at 1 am in the morning, and having a huge tracker-trailer drive into me from behind, as I am only limping along trying to find an exit and warm garage. Someone will die from this defect. It is totally unacceptable, incredibly dangerous, and completely irresponsible of Chrysler to hide this defect until you buy the vehicle, then say oh by the way you need this tarp to drive your $75,000.00 truck in the winter. Good luck!

Bought in to the new RAM truck experience in 2014 and purchased a 2500 RAM with a Cummins diesel engine with the purpose of pulling a toy hauler when we retired. Since acquiring these special vehicle I have had 12 recall notices, several service warranty issues that took forever to repair and no support from RAM trucks. If not for a decent dealer, this would be a total nightmare. I have had the Urea sensor issue which RAM implied was due to bad DEF fluid when in fact it was a faulty sensor design that fails due to the corrosion from the DEF fluid.I am now waiting on a correction to the latest recall T51/NHTSA 17V-562 to correct a water pump failure which may cause an engine fire? No indication on how/what they will do or if they will give a loaner vehicle to use, not one answer from them. They have a nice design in the truck, but have failed the public in quality control and standing behind their product. Would not recommend this vehicle to any of my friends for future purchases.

The 1994 through 1997 Dodge Rams with the V10 engine had an ignition control module that selected the proper ignition coil. About 2002, Dodge discontinued this part (#56027978). As a result, when this part fails, the engine will only run on 6 cylinders and since there are no replacements, the truck is unrepairable. In my case, I have a truck with only 112,000 miles on it and it is only good for salvage. Retail value on this truck is about $8500 if it were running right, and I will have to eat the loss as the dealer wont even take it as a trade-in.

First I bought a brand new 2013 ram crew cab express. Problems with radio going out losing the screen then coming back. Also had problems with power locks the cause a pinched wiring harness. The dealership changed the radio twice, still had problems. So I turned in the truck with 3000 miles and upgraded to a 2014 ram. Thought that was better, no. The radio cuts out all the time and I only have 500 miles on new truck. The dealer has installed new software but after a couple days, the radio still cuts out, so they ordered me a new radio. Here we go again. I wish dodge would come up with an aftermarket radio that works, too much technology if you ask me. That is my gripe.

A plastic cover blew off the passenger side mirror of my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. This occurred while I was driving. I went to the Clear Lake Dodge to get a replacement plastic cover prior to any electronic damage occurring due to environmental exposure. I purchased an extended Bumber/Bumber warranty program at the time of purchase. This is still valid. I was told this was cosmetic and would not be covered under warranty. The mirror, however, would have been covered. There is nothing wrong with the mirror.I was taken to the parts department and told that the $5-10 plastic cover could not be purchased separately. I was informed that the entire mirror assembly would need to be purchased and installed at a later date. I was told by the service manager that this was a Chrysler policy and there was nothing that could be done. I am a loyal Chrysler customer with my previous vehicle being a Pacifica. I will be in the market for future family vehicle purchases. This experience calls into question any future Chrysler product purchases.

Five Star Dodge Warner Robins - I brought my 14 Ram 1500 to their service dept 10 separate times to fix my cruise control. With every visit I was greeted as an inconvenience each time until the second to last where Jay who I perceived to have been helpful until I went for the last time. He told me I was square and would not be charged for the repairs due to 99% of the problems being due to lazy mechanics. I was charged $500+ to have the repairs accomplished. Hindsight I shouldnt have given them a dime but I wanted to be done with this dealership as soon as possible. You will have better luck going anywhere but here. I personally have a biased against Dodge in general after this experience and will probably go to another brand.

This is the 3rd time I have had my truck in to have the rear tire wear repaired. I put tires on the rear and 7000 miles later they are worn just above the wear bars. FCA is the division of Chrysler that Manufactures the Ram since it was take from Dodge in 2010. I have replaced the tires at 22,000 and the rear tires are over half worn and the fronts are still new. FCA customer care will not pay to find out what is causing the problem. I am selling the truck so I dont have to replace the tires every 9,000 miles at a coast of $200 per tire.

The 2016 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman has exceeded my expectations for a pickup truck. I pull a 8000lb trailer with it and it performs beyond my expectations. Enough power to always have some reserve if needed. Pulled through the Rockies and engine oil and transmission fluid maintained normal temperatures despite working hard. The interior is the best of all the major trucks I looked at prior to purchasing it and the controls are all in locations easy to reach and utilize while driving. The ride is not stiff like the other trucks providing a more comfortable ride and the sway control is excellent which is important for heavy loads and trailering. All at a price $9,000.00 less than its competitors. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody who needs a truck.

My brother and I purchased a brand new 2014 Ram 3500 4x4 cc with 6.4 hemi from Tri- Cities Jeep/Dodge/Ram in Kingsport, TN. The night we purchase it 12 miles from the dealership, the loose gas cap light comes on then the check engine light. I continue on home because we werent done till 10 pm dealership closed. The next morning I go back, take it to service, explain what happened and they apologize, agree to usher right in to be checked. Three hours later they come get me and tell the gas cap was loose, I didnt tighten it correctly. It and check engine code reset, all is good. BTW I did not fill it up the dealership did. Later that same day, have driven my truck 43 miles since purchase, the lights come on again. The next day I return to the dealership and explain my displeasure and disgust. They tell me they need the truck for 4-6 hours to smoke test emissions system for leak which now appeared with loose cap light but they cant provide loaner car which is part of Car-Doc warranty I got with the truck. I schedule appointment for following Wed at 8 am. I took the truck in and set for 3 hours while they test it. The results are no leaks, has to be a loose gas cap, they flashed computer to clear codes, should all be good just be sure to tighten gas cap properly. This set me off, I have been driving for 25 years and surely have tightened a gas cap before as I explained to this young man. I proceeded to my salesman and asked for them to fill my truck up again, since most of my first tank of gas was used going back and forth to have light fixed. They did refill it. As I get on my street the light comes back on for the 4th time. I called back and told them I want it taken in and kept till fixed and I need a loaner for my business. I am told they dont have loaner trucks and I would have to wait on a list for a loaner car!!! I have owned several Dodges and used this dealer 3 times but I am thinking I am done with both. Should have bought Ford!!!!

2012 dodge Ram 3500 - I had problems with the rear end at 66,000 miles. Took to my dealer. They refused warranty due to water damage in the rear end. I first had a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Outdoorsman. It ran fine until 2013 when it would suddenly stop while driving and start up again on its own. Not being able to accelerate from an intersection because it decided to stop and restart with a semi-truck coming is a bit scary. After several trips to the dealership where it was bought and no solution, I traded the vehicle in on a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn Diesel. Guess what? This truck does the same thing only more often. Of course, the dealership has no answer to the problem except that I must be driving with my foot on the brake, WRONG. What an experience to be going down the road pulling a racecar trailer and having the truck do its stop and start thing. Intersections are even more exciting. Come on Chrysler, how about getting things right before someone (including me) gets killed. Oh yes, the truck stopped and started 3 times within a 10 mile radius from our home to the local store yesterday. Now I have another piece of junk that I am paying the bank for and do not know how long it will be before it ever gets fixed or completely goes to H---. Since the 2011 had a Hemi and the 2014 has the new diesel engine, think it must be something else besides the engines???

In January 2013, we purchased a new Ram 1500 Longhorn - over $65,000.00. Eight months into ownership the air ride suspension system failed. Chrysler and 3 dealerships denied any issues with it. We are now in March of 2014. Truck has not been safe to drive since October 9th, 2013 due to failed suspension. Compressor overheats, ABS and Trailer brake system have thrown error codes for immediate service, Nav system randomly starts and was stuck on US roads, radio works on its own, heated and air conditioned seats work occasionally. The list goes on and on. Dealership says too bad. We dont want it back. Chrysler Canada also not helpful to resolve. Dealership has attempted to rectify with assistance from engineers but they have no idea what is going on with truck. 1 dealership in Red Deer Alberta kept clearing codes saying nothing wrong. We have pictures yet they continually deny, deny, deny. Nobody cares - we are just the little guy and are now stuck paying for a truck that is not safe enough to be on the roads.

2012 Ram 3500. Had this truck 2 1/2 years. Its had the high mount stop light replaced 3xs to correct a water leak. Not confident its fixed, only seems to last a few months. Had radio updated 3xs before replacing to fix the nav system. The major issue is that when I slow or come to a stop I get diesel exhaust fumes coming from the vents. I have complained to the dealer about 4xs about this, they can never find anything. Last trip in last week they smelled the exhaust and replaced the EGR. Picked up truck Saturday, drove it Monday and same issue. Started a case with Chrysler. They called back and asked what is my expected outcome? Really told them take the truck and give me my money back, just dont think they know how to correct the issue and its to the point no one will ride in the truck. This is nasty, not to mention a health hazard. This is my 1st & last Chrysler product Ill ever buy.

Then the manager said he brought three trucks out and they all have the same wind noise. I told him then they should tell the buyer before they spend 60.000 for a truck that theyre buying a truck that is not very well sealed. Not impressed because I just traded in my 2013 with no wind noise whatsoever with 160.000 kms on it. Nobody wants to help. RAM JUNK, POOR QUALITY VEHICLE. Bumper to bumper warranty ya right. We have a Diesel 5500 Dodge Ram with that horrible DEF system. During this recent snow storm the computer system told us we had 195 miles to service the DEF system before the truck would CUT OFF. This is the 2nd time in 40,000 miles we have had this happen. We are a snow plowing company,195 miles during a snow storm does not give us a lot of time. We brought the truck into Ross Dodge (Boone, NC) and we were told there was no one to help in service, we took it back the next day and the service people told us they would not look at the truck until the ice and salt had been removed from the bottom of the truck. They did offer to keep it in their bay overnight to melt the debris away. Crazy thing is the truck was needed to (lets all say it together) plow snow. Why couldnt they take it over to their handy car wash and wash it off, or put on their big boy underpants and deal with the dirt? They do not keep the DEF part in stock. So now back to the dealership for a 3rd, or maybe its the 4th, time to replace a part that we have no control over. Why is this part not stocked? It is used on so many Dodge Diesels both commercial and individual. Shame on Dodge for letting one state control their multibillion dollar company. Grow a set and stand up to California!

I have purchased 3 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel trucks in the past 5 years, and I have had issues with all 3. The latest being today. #1 18DOD: Diesel driveability. Cust states vehicle wont start. Loss of communication with TIPM Module. Removed and installed new TIPM Module. Reconfigured TIPM Module. Vehicle now starts and runs. The car was parked in the parking lot of my office for 8 hours and would not start, not even a sign of life when I put the key in it. They told me at the dealership the module problem was most likely from overheating. The truck was sitting in a parking lot. I dont think RAM gives a ** about me or the parts they use to make a vehicle for the public, however I do know this. I WILL NEVER BUY A DODGE RAM VEHICLE.

I bought my Ram 1500 new in 2015 with every tow option available. During the summer months (May-Mid September) I tow a 3,500lb boat about every other weekend... this was the sole purpose for buying this truck. This August while towing the boat the transmission failed to downshift (with a loud BANG) twice, then we got a check engine light, and the transmission reached 280* before being able to get off the highway. The truck was towed to the nearest dealer. The dealership told me there was no overtemp history in the computer and replaced just the valve body and filter. Ever since the repair the transmission regularly runs hot (up to 237* while not towing, usually in the 220s) and does a sporadic slip-bang shift.I opened a case with Ram Cares and got it into another dealership, they couldnt reproduce the problem. The mechanic told me that Chrysler only allows them to replace the valve body or the entire transmission under warranty (if the fluid is burnt), but he felt there was a problem with the heat exchanger for the transmission. When I picked up the truck the service advisor told me (after seeing my many pictures of the trans temp gauge reading 220s and 230s) that even though he cant do anything under warranty right now he thought the transmission would most likely fail before the powertrain warranty expires. This is a problem as Ive already been stranded once while towing my boat. The Ram Cares rep said Chrysler stands by the dealership and my request for further diagnoses OR a warranty extension on the transmission has been denied... this to me means that Chrysler doesnt have confidence in the transmission... a warranty extension would only cost Chrysler money IF the transmission fails again.

I purchased 2015 Dodge Ram last December with about 30,000, miles on it. Since then it has had FOUR safety recalls and the major recall on the power steering is being ignored. My local auto mechanic told me to see recall number - 16-U-167, but Dodge is stating there is no recall on this repair which just cost me over $2,700. I asked to cover at least half the cost of this repair. Rick ** at Christopher Dodge, agreed that this type of repair should not happen at low millage if at all, but they refused make amends and sent me to Dodge. I see a recall (note below) on the internet, but they should be standing behind their product either way. IF the power steering had gone out while I was driving I could have been killed. This will be my last Dodge. https://repairpal.com/recall/16V167000.Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Ram 1500 trucks manufactured January 22, 2015, to September 13, 2015. Contamination on the Electric Power Steering (EPS) control circuit board may cause a short and result in the loss of power steering assist. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am a dog trainer. I needed a good, dependable truck for my business. Lots of my friends have Dodge Rams (different versions) and one has over 400,000 miles on his Diesel. I pull horse trailers. I am on the road a lot and need good transport for dogs and me. So, after much research and recommendations of Dodge Ram, I decided to go that route. When I looked it up under consumer research articles, it was one of the highest recommended trucks on the road.Just last week (October, 2014), my dealership sent me a letter wanting to buy back my truck for a good sum. Stated this was the most popular model and they were in desperate need of them and had a waiting list of people. At that time, I had only $2,000.00 before paying off my Dodge Ram. I opted not to sell my truck to the dealership and trade up. I needed a vehicle that would last me at least 200,000 miles and keep me free of truck payments for at least 5 years. Then I would trade up, or not, depending on how well my truck was holding up. I have always done the proper maintenance on my truck when it was needed. Oil change, fluid changes and checks, tire rotations, new brakes, new tires and babied it, because hey, its a Dodge Ram and will last me at least 10 years or 200,000 miles. Needless to say, that was not to be. On a trip home from Illinois, just across the Indiana line, my truck blew the engine. When the mechanics checked my truck and took the head off, it showed every bit of 100,000 miles. After much discussion and more research, I was told that this particular model, 2008 dodge Ram 1500 had aluminum in the valves and should have had steel. No wonder it fell apart at 6,000 miles out of warranty. The story gets better. Because I lost compression in my truck, I lost almost all control of my brakes and steering. I was in Poseyville, Indiana at the time. It almost cost me a dog grooming parlor, but fortunately I was able to get the truck into the gravel parking lot and stopped. I have called around to see my options and presently I am at $5,000.00 to get a rebuilt engine and have it installed. My truck is at a friends in another state and it cost me $350.00 to have it towed to their house. Towing it back to Kentucky was financially out of the question. My full coverage insurance refunded me $80.00 of this. So, now I am out of a work vehicle and I have no vehicle to drive. That puts me in the position of making the rest of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck payments (I owe a whomping $2000.00) and the cost of renting a car until I can save the money to have mine fixed. At that point I will have to sell it or whatever. But I still have to pay my house payment, utilities, office rent space for my business, etc.I am not whining, I am not feeling sorry for myself, so you haters and naysayers keep it to yourself. I am thoroughly pissed that I researched a truck, did my best to make the right choice for my business and now I am out a vehicle. Bottom line; This was not a used truck. It was a brand new, right off the show room floor vehicle, cared for and babied (yes, I can prove it... I have every oil change and filter, etc. ever put on it) because I tried to choose the right vehicle for me. It lasted less than 4 years, and has 106,000 miles on it... and I paid a very hefty price for this piece of junk that was touted as one of the best trucks on the market.Kentucky’s useless Lemon Laws: The Kentucky Lemon Law applies when, during the first year or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first), following delivery of a new vehicle: The dealer has attempted to repair the same problem four (4) or more times, or the vehicle has been out of service for repair at the dealership for a cumulative total of 30 days or more. To qualify for the Lemon Law, the problem must substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the automobile. Vehicles leased after July 15, 1998 are also covered. Kentucky Informal Dispute Resolution System or Arbitration: Kentucky requires manufacturers to provide new vehicle owners with a cost-free informal dispute resolution system. The decision is binding on the manufacturer but not the consumer. You qualify if the dispute happened in the first two (2) years or 25,000 miles (whichever comes first), and you are a Kentucky resident AND you purchased the vehicle in Kentucky.

After returning from Calif to Wyoming, during a severe Ice & snow storm
After returning from Calif to Wyoming, during a severe Ice & snow storm, my 2014 Ram 3500 4x4 26,000 mi truck was stuck on the ice in my gravel driveway. As it says in the users manual pg 196. to become unstuck use a rocking motion by shifting from reverse to drive, turning front wheels right to left. Common practice for someone who has owned 4 wheel drive vehicles all of their lives. (I just turned 65 and have driven in severe conditions most of my life.) When placing vehicle in drive, the CV U joint off the transfer case side of the front drive line broke causing the vehicle to shut down. I placed gear selector in park, turned the engine off and I had to use my own tow service to get vehicle to the Dealer. (Road side assistance was a JOKE.) Will only tow 30 miles, dealer is 50 miles away. The dealership did a digital imaging, involved the district manager who sent it to be reviewed by Chrysler digital imaging review.A case had to be opened by Detroit Chrysler Customer Service. Chrysler has found me at fault for being stuck in the snow and ice in my driveway. Snow depth was 6 inches with 3 inches of ice underneath (Like I could have chose to divert the storm) and Chrysler will not warranty the vehicle and is calling this ABUSE. Now I have to get an attorney involved to replace the front drive line and (replace transfer case wiring) harness is $2,750.00. To replace drive line and solder 6 wires back together $1,350.00 at my expense. I have had to go to Chryslers top management supervisor. Still waiting. There is no way that spinning your tires on ice and snow can break a drive line CV U joint. (The vehicle was running in low range at 20000 rpm when this happened) I have owned several new 4x4 trucks, never have I broke a drive line CV U joint. They have worn out but never broke like this New Heavy Duty Ram 1 ton truck has. It also has a front end alignment problem - the (right front) wheel keeps cupping tires. This is another case I have to open with Chrysler. This is the 3rd time for repair for this.. also touch screen radio has been replaced, another problem. Cost of unit $3,000.00. They fixed without a problem but the dealer damaged dash and had to pay for a new dash replacement. This truck has been in the shop for repair for 1 month during the 2 years I have owned it and still climbing and they give you no rental vehicle unless you buy the extended warranty another $2,000.00 -- $ 60,000.00 and 3 years bumper to bumper warranty, drive train 5 years or 100,000 thousand mile (means nothing) if Chrysler is not forced to stand behind it. This truck Is a $60,0000.00 pile of JUNK. My 04 Chevy Duramax 1 Ton has 45,000 miles on it. Never been in the shop since the day I bought it June 2004 like new to this day. Tows heavy loads and has never broke a drive line or worn out a U joint and has been stuck in snow and ice several times in the past 13 years.

To cut a very long boring story short, Ram dont know where the truck is. The phone # and live chat cant or wont answer any questions like where is my truck?! Then the Ram rep called the rail yard where the truck is and was told they were not releasing the truck!! WHY? Nobody knows. I asked for a list of dealers that had a similar equipped truck and was told to go to my dealer they should have one!!! They dont. Thats why we ordered one. I give up. I told the dealer to get me a delivery date, have not heard anything. RAM yep.

I am very discouraged with the ordering Dodge trucks process. I ordered exactly what I wanted on/and its now August 5th and still has not moved through the building process at the Michigan plant. WTH is going on. VIN is was assigned only a few weeks after but its stuck in D status which is not even through the line yet. This is not the 4-8 weeks that I thought it was going to be. Now they are saying it could be the eTorque or the Ram boxes that is holding it up. I think this is unexceptionable. If you can choose on the main Ram truck website what you can order then why cant they build it in a timely manner?

I bought my 2017 Ram 2500 6.4 2/12 months ago. The truck when purchased had 11 miles in it. The day after I purchased the truck I started in driveway and noticed a puff of blue smoke. Went a couple days and noticed it 75% of the time. Called dealer with 200 miles on truck and they said to call them back at 500. It was just breaking in. I called them back at 500 and they said to give it until 1000 miles. At about 1500 miles I made them give me an appointment. It was over 2 quarts low on oil. They saw the smoke and topped it off. Now they have me doing an oil consumption test? Every 500 miles I have to go to dealer and they check it and top it off!It is averaging between a half a quart to 3/4 of a quart each time. They claim it is protocol that I have to do this up until 7500 miles! That nothing can be done until the break-in period but monitor it! This is insane! I have to drive to dealer every 500 miles. The truck is going to burn over 5 quarts before its first oil change! The warranty people on phone said this is normal protocol! Soooo over $40,000 on new truck, 5 quarts of oil per oil change and people coming up to me constantly telling me my brand new truck sure was smoking when I started it up (extremely embarrassing). Lesson learned.

This is my second Ram and it will be the last. I needed a good reliable truck since I travel for a living in it. So I purchased a brand 2014 Ram 1500 crew cab in June 2014. I have put 15k mile on it and love the room and performance of my truck. However, the 8 speed transmission has issues and was in shop for a day. Note: It took 3 weeks for the dealer to get the parts. Im not sure if it’s been fixed since I only got to drive it for about 3 weeks and then it had a major oil leak. I took it to my dealer on Dec. 19th and today is Jan. 3rd and I still do not have my truck. The dealership told me it would be 3 weeks, which is stupid! So, I contacted Dodge and they cannot give me a reason other than they are trying to locate a part. I was referred to a case manager whom hasnt returned any of my 4 calls. Also, I was given the part mgr. number at corp. office. Once again, No return phone calls. I like my truck but, I will not deal with this lack of service from Dodge Ram Trucks. My dealer has been great to deal with but this new V-6 has issue with the oil filter housing and the 8 speed transmission does too. I thought I was buying the truck of the year. But I made a big mistake. Buyer Beware. I wouldnt recommend anyone purchase this truck unless you are looking for trouble.

We bought a new 2013 Dodge Ram a week ago. My hubby was on his way home from work yesterday and he had a blowout. Now Dodge is charging us for the new tire. The truck is a week old. My hubby could have been killed. Very lucky my two year old son wasnt aboard. They are claiming that there is a nail hole in the tire and that’s what caused the blow out. As if passing over $50,000 to them for the truck wasnt enough. Now we are driving around with a 17 inch dummy tire on our brand new truck. She is off level from having 20 inch tires on all besides one. Something needs to be done about this.

This is my third Ram, 2006, 2012 and now 2016. This is by far the worst truck I have ever owned, and the worst dealer service experience! The dealer was in too much of a hurry to put me in a truck, they failed to hear my needs and wants, from the get go with a salesperson who was actually a corporate rep, visiting the dealership this day. He did not listen to my towing needs, and everything he promised me for free (thrown in) was just added to my bill of sale, and my application was for 0% down, 0% financing - and in the end was 3.49%, which was not communicated to me at all.So, first I did not end with a hitch receiver, towing mirrors, or brake module - I had to buy a receiver for $300 and a brake module for $500 plus $90 to program it. I was forced to buy this, as the dealer would not help me and I had to move my trailer promptly. Second the rep promised me the truck could tow my trailers and handle the capacities. The truck falls short by 3000 lbs. because the 8 speed trans. and 3:21 rear gear combo are ** - something the rep failed to even look at and confirm capacities - and assured me that this truck could handle my towing needs. NOT!The truck: the front end is loose - rattles over tracks and bumps, shakes violently on highway (death wobble close) - tires have been balance three times, steering column shakes and rattles, transmission growls, shudders, clunks (when putting into gear or decelerating), vibrates on highway. Rear end clunks, tow haul button doesnt work, gas gauge glitches, headlight out of aim, antenna loose, leather seat clips came off, door weather strip fell off, hood is not aligned with fender, led lights fell out of back seat. When towing my 3500 lb. trailer in tow haul mode the trans. feels like it wants to explode (loud growling and vibration) at any speed. This experience may be only from my particular truck and dealer but I feel it warrants this submission!

A week ago, on June 25, 2013, I arrived home at 4 pm and left with a friend and was notified by my neighbor at 6:30 pm that my truck which had been parked since 4 pm was fully engulfed in flames. He held water from the garden hose on it until the VFD arrived to extinguish what was left. The end result is that from the cab forward, it is totally burned to the ground. With only liability insurance on it, its a total loss with no idea how it caught on fire. The point of origin looks to be from the drivers side fender well area under the hood. Ive heard numerous rumors of the fuse boxes shorting out, and/or the avs shorting out causing the fire. Thus far, Ive not seen or heard of any recall from Dodge. Can anyone guide me to the correct direction for restitution for my truck that was in great condition with many more miles of dependability left in it or so I thought? Is Dodge going to stand behind their product that has been proven by other owners to have this problem and make good for it? Or just keep taking our money for vehicles with a lifespan of maybe lasting long enough to pay them off before just having to dispose of it?

Transmission stopped shifting into 5 & 6 gears. Went from driving fine one day, to not shifting the next. No pieces of anything in pan when put on new valve body. Diagnostics keep saying new tranny. Not sure if its related, but the dashboard indicator lights quit working after I had a new electric brake installed. Sometimes they flicker and go out, other times they are just gone. Sometimes they work fine for weeks and others they work for a couple minutes and only work again after I pull off the negative battery cables. The lights and turn signals all work, they just dont show it. And that electric brake is no longer working either.

While driving my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, the ignition shuts down. The truck stalls out and I lose power steering and control. This has happened on several occasions and many times nearly caused an accident. I have spoke with Dodge about this dangerous situation more than once and have taken my vehicle into the local Dodge dealer for repairs. Some of the repairs were performed on a recall status, however this stalling problem has not been addressed and does not show up on the computer; therefore it doesnt exists!! My truck stalled five times yesterday and had to struggle to steer it off the road to prevent a rear-end collision. My wife was with me twice and refuses to ride in this vehicle any longer. I called Dodge yesterday and was on hold for 35 minutes. I finally called a representative not associated with any recalls and expressed my dissatisfaction concerning this matter. I was told there would be a 24 hour time period before a supervisor returned my call. I have not heard as yet. I clearly do not know what to do. I need this vehicle for my work and it has been modified to tow vehicles. I just cant climb in another vehicle and perform my duties. Dodge does not want to admit there is a problem because then it would have to be added to their long list of recalls. I wonder if it will show up on their computers when there is a fatality. Apparently, they have scheduled another appointment at a different dealer to check the truck again. I will have to take time off work and only hope I arrive there safely.

The tank capacity is 26 gallons. The gauge is back to full and will not move after 80 miles. The truck has 17,710 miles. As of Jan. 4, 2012, the gas gauge is still not working. First off NEVER buy a new Dodge truck!! We bought a brand new 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 DRW... Only having 147 miles on it at 3,000 miles truck went in to the shop for over a month to have tail gate and hood re-painted from having blemished paint from the shipping! At the time of getting re-painted the truck was out of line and pulling terribly to the right... Having electrical issues and squealing brakes! Again at 10,000 miles pulling strongly again to the right we take it back in and get aligned... Right after leaving the dealership the steering leakage comes apart while my wife was driving down the interstate... Went in the shop again for a few weeks... This truck has been through 3 sets of tires and it only has 36,000 miles on it...Since buying this truck it has literally been in the shop every two months the last time which was last week it spent 1 month and 1 week in the shop with the front end coming apart once again in the truck!! We pick it up this week and its shaking so bad its hard to drive and the passenger back ceiling is leaking from the rain!! The truck is covered in ants inside and out they are coming out the vents and steering column!! Called to report our problems once again to Hoover Dodge Jeep and Ram in Summerville, SC only to be treated like a piece of trash!! We are hardly getting to drive the truck because its constantly in the shop but yet the payments are due every single month on time!! So over this company and the dealership!! DO NOT BUY A NEW DODGE!!! Take our advice and just about everyone on this page that is complaining!! This company has went to hell very quickly.

The seat back was replaced and now it is twisted. Left side is further back than the right side. The seat actually adjusts while youre driving the truck and will not stay in its locked position. Suspension no longer goes all the way up and it now lowers to where the suspension binds itself while driving or parked by itself.

I made the mistake of spending $45,000 on a brand new 2016 Dodge 2500. The day I drove it off the lot I turned around and came back and said there was a problem with the transmission. I was told I didnt know what I was talking about. 3 months later was in the shop for a repair that took two and a half weeks. Since that time it has been in the shop three additional times for the transmission. I recently asked case management that is handling the issue for me how many more times I must be inconvenience before they replace the transmission. I stated its obviously defective and I was told, No its not defective because we can fix it.Theyve had four times to fix this transmission and it is yet to be fixed so in essence buying inconveniences are Unlimited as far as Dodge Chrysler are concerned. This is the third Ram truck I bought and it is the last. I will never ever purchase another Chrysler product and I would dissuade anybody from ever purchased the in Chrysler product. Im tempted to put the lemon on the truck and driving around with a sign on it that says, What an idiot. I should have bought a Ford. And to add insult to injury I have to rent my own vehicle while they have mine in the shop. Way to go Chrysler. Never again. Biggest piece of **.

This truck is one of my favorite vehicles. I had zero problems with it and the Hemi engine is awesome. My only complaint was that it got pretty bad gas mileage, and this during 2007 and 2008 when gas was 4 something a gallon in Texas. Great truck, fair to good interior, low payload capacity, but towed a trailer well. Nice sounding and fast.

In late June my vehicle was in a car accident. The vehicle went in to our local Auto Nation Collision Center for repair in Winter Garden, Fl. Unfortunately they have not been able to complete my repair due to the extreme back order on the part. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram Laramie and the clockspring has been on back order since at least July. Chrysler has only been able to give me a release date they acquired from my repair shop. I called them to submit a complaint and their method of verifying the information was calling my repair shop. I felt that by calling the direct manufacturer Mopar Chrysler they would provide me with a solution. Instead they cannot confirm when parts are going to be available since there are so many request ahead of me, 186 to be exact. They further explained there could be a wait for over 18 months. Until then I have no vehicle, and it is my burden to carry because there was a repair needed where a part is not available. I asked for rental car options and they declined any type of remediation. I understand that we are responsible for repairs as a consumer, but when there is not even an option to complete a repair what am I left to do? Its been 6 months, and now I am definitely out of patience. I am extremely disappointed in Chrysler Ram at this time. I have been a loyal customer with 4 vehicles purchased from the brand in the past 10 years. Not what I expected from a national US automotive company.

I bought a Dodge Ram 2500 4 by 4 Cummins diesel 2015 model at Carl Gregory of Savannah Ga. I was told they would have my side steps black wheel to wheel for my truck that Friday. They put me off 5 different dates over a 3 week period to end up telling me they couldnt even get them (cost figured in price of truck). I ending up telling them to get them from OReillys auto parts or either Pep Boys and I gave them the part number to both, only to find out later that Mopar does carry the black wheel to wheel Mega Cab side steps. Now after owning it for six weeks my tire pressure sensors have gone out. It is now been the shop four times for a total of over 10 days and has yet to be repaired. The last time Carl Gregory had my truck, they had it for 6 days and did not do anything. They had told me it needed a module but after 6 days still do not have it put in. Now I have taken it to a new dealer to see if they can fix it. It has been there one day and they have ordered a sensor to see if they can fix it when there are 4 sensors that are not working. This is my first Dodge and probably my last. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation customer service....and my back Friday.

I purchased a 2014 Dodge Ram Laramie with a Cummins turbo diesel. The truck had 37,000 miles. A strong selling point was the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. At 40,000 miles, and three days after the first $700 payment the motor blew all the oil out locked up. The dealership would not even have it towed. It has sat on their back lot for two weeks and they cant even tell me whats wrong with it. I contacted Chrysler and was assigned a case manager and still nothing has been done and Im out $47,000 and on foot. Never ever again will I own a Chrysler product.

We purchased our 2019 Dodge Ram Lone Star on Labor Day of 2018, from All-Star Dodge in Canyon, TX. We live on 3 miles of dirt road, out in the country! The cab of our NEW pickup fills up with dirt every time we go down it! So much it’s suffocating! I’ve taken our truck to All-Star and they took pictures and they sent them into Chrysler, but they said the doors looked completely sealed. Since then I’ve sent MORE pictures and a video to Salvador at All-Star and still nothing is being done!??? My advice, don’t buy one of these, if you’re going to be driving it on dirt roads!! That’s pretty much why we own/buy trucks, because we live on a dirt road!! We own Fords and have owned Chevys and NEVER have we had dirt filling the cab, of our other pickups anytime!! Oh and I’m VERY OCD, about keeping my vehicles clean, at all times and I CAN’T KEEP THIS ONE CLEAN, AT ALL ON THE INSIDE!! We’ve had this truck starting January 1, 2019 goin on 5 months, that being said! I’ve been inhaling all the dirt and continue to, all this time and have been sneezing, coughing and dealing with sinus infections, from this crap! I’m headed back to Amarillo today 12-29-18, so YES I’m going to All-Star Dodge AGAIN & gonna see about getting someone higher up the ladder or having Salvador call someone higher than him!! Sick of this crap!! Oh yes and the trucks under warranty and I’ve already heard that All-Star Dodge will not/do not stand behind their word of, “We will take care of our customers!” So DON’T SHOP THERE!!

I purchased a brand new 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab with a Cummins and it is the single most regrettable purchase I have ever made. The truck feels like its built to fall apart. It shutters and jerks when I get off the gas. It clunks into and out of gear like a 20 year old truck. There are rattles I can hear already in front and back. The key is currently stuck in the ignition for the 5th time since I bought it and I have a tow truck on the way. Ive driven Fords for 20 years and NEVER dealt with any of this. I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500, which I purchased in November 2010. I purchased it because my 2009 had a gasoline leak, which my mechanic found. When I took it in, I also took it in for AC/HACV recall. They refused to allow me to leave with my truck. They said it was too dangerous, and they had no loaner. Now I own a 2006 Dodge Diesel, and this 2010, plus I have had nothing but Dodge products for the past 14 years. So when they refused my request, I asked them what I was supposed to do to get home and that my job required that I am on call as the Crisis Center Director 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and my husband is the EMS Director for Atascosa County and he is also on call 24/7. Neither of us could be without a vehicle. Also note I was 32 miles from home. When nothing else could be done, I was told I could trade my 2009 for a 2010. So I did, because I needed a vehicle immediately. I lost the lifetime warranty on the 2009 Dodge. By the way, I am also a senior citizen aged 65. When I took the 2010 in for the recall last week, I asked about the plastic discoloration on my truck handles. The truck is a beautiful red, pretty and shiny; but the handles make it look bad. I have not damaged them in any way. I was told thats just how it was and they could do nothing. I want you to know that the quality of this trucks plastic is horrible both inside and out. When I trade again, should I have to, Im sure they will lower the trade-in price because of the handles and plastic; and that is not my fault. I believe you care about what people think, so Ive taken the time to write and inform you of this issue.I have always used this dealership and salesman for years, but Im very disappointed in your product. Too bad, you dont care enough to make sure your dealerships show the same respect to people.

This is the second time in two months I have taken my Ram 3500 diesel into Crown for a check engine light that stays on. Both times even though their equipment says it needs an O2 sensor they say, No, that isnt the problem. Now after they have had it the second day they say it does need 2-O2 sensors, however they dont have any. They are on back order. So they will call me when they come in. So I pick up the truck and I ask the parts guy, how long should it take to get the parts and he checks the order. To my unbelief, he says there are over 5000 on back order. So he says about a month. I doubt if they will be in a year. What the heck is going on with Chrysler. Are they trying to go out of business. I have never heard of anything so stupid. I have been a Mopar fan for a long time (that is all that I own). I needed new brakes on the front end of my 2007 Ram 1500, 4x4 four door pick-up ( the originals finally wore out). I usually do all of my own maintenance work on my vehicles, so I purchased new rotors, brake pads and small parts kit at my local parts supplier. Once I got into the job, I discovered that my new pads were much larger than the ones on my truck. Thinking that the counter man had made a mistake, I checked online to see what the correct part number was. The counter man had given me the correct part, apparently the factory had installed the brakes for a two door truck on my four door truck. These brake pads are significantly smaller than what should have been installed. I feel, that as a result, my safety has been compromised. My truck is equipped with a hemi which has had several power adders installed, and I occasionally tow a trailer with it. With these smaller brakes, I no longer feel as safe as I did, I wonder how many times in the past my brakes were ready to fade, and I was unaware. I am just reporting this to alert other owners to be aware that they might have the same condition as me. I feel that Chrysler did me a disservice and showed a certain lack of regard for my safety, and the safety of those that I share the road with. I am now in the process of researching which parts are the correct parts for my truck so that I may replace them for my peace of mind. The truck is my baby, so I wont consider getting rid of it. I still like Mopar, and their styling, but I am extremely disappointed in them. As of this writing, there have been no consequences, but I will be changing My Front end parts till I can have the bigger safer brakes.

I purchased my 2014 Ram Express 1500 quad cab 2WD exactly 1 year ago today.
I purchased my 2014 Ram Express 1500 quad cab 2WD exactly 1 year ago today. I had bad experience with the HERITAGE DODGE DEALERSHIP, Parkville, MD - MILEONE AUTO GROUP. My truck had a recall due to a software update (compass supposed to be moved from my Uconnect 5 to the D.I.C. screen) - that was 2 radios & 2 attempts to fix the problem, still no compass at all in truck. While truck was in shop, the express lane manager said they would do a tire rotation. Well I marked all tires, all they did was switch the 2 front tires to either side. But as the MANUAL STATES: IN ORDER TO DO A CORRECT TIRE ROTATION IS BACK TO FRONT, FRONT TO BACK - NOT RIGHT TIRE TO LEFT & VICE VERSA.The payload capacity of this 2WD 1500 is claimed to be 1900 lbs.+ in the bed of the truck. Now here is the kicker, I load my 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 in the bed & my bed squats down 5 (5 inches) - my Yamaha Grizzly only weighs 686 lbs. with fluids. Currently this $35k truck with only 12k miles & 1-year old KBB is $21k trade-in value. The design of the coil spring, rear springs is great when empty; handles nice & smooth. Add 200 lbs. & go over a speed bump carefully & you will feel the sag/plush/too soft springs bounce you 2-3 times. Add the 686 lbs. & gently go over same speed bump - bump stops, actually hit the axle. Now I have to go & purchase HD coil springs or purchase AIRLIFT ULTIMATE 5000 AIR BAGS SO I CAN NOT ONLY HAUL my 1 quad, but also my 10 x 6.5 open trailer with my wifes sportsman 500 HO Polaris too. For a truck (not really a truck, when you cant haul anything over 200 lbs.) its pretty quick. With the 5.7 Hemi, MPG is 20-23 MPG hwy.

I manage a small ambulance service in rural Louisiana and have 3 Dodge Ram
I manage a small ambulance service in rural Louisiana and have 3 Dodge Ram 4500s. Cummins diesel. Two of the units are 4x4. At 37000 miles we had a total failure of the front U-joint that caused a catastrophic failure and burst a huge hole in the front transfer case that caused the unit to literally come off of the road and broke the transmission housing and pulled all the wiring harness out from under the unit. Needless to say we had to be towed and thank God there was no patient on board. The vehicle had only been placed into 4-wheel drive once since it was new and that was only to test it out to see if it worked. We maintain the vehicles every 7500 miles and that includes greasing the drive train. When we took the vehicle to our local dealer (big mistake #1) the service manager and his incompetent staff gave no less than 5 reasons why this had occurred. After each excuse was refuted they finally said that Dodge was refusing to warrant the vehicle due to maintenance neglect. They said that the front drive shaft had not been greased. There is no mention of the front U-joint grease fitting other than a small 1 inch by 1 inch sticker under the hood on the right cowl. When I asked all the other dealers in the region about the front U-joint they either didnt know that it existed or call in a maintenance free joint. I searched and searched for the grease fitting (which doesnt exist) and finally had a good local mechanic drop the front drive shaft and we found a small pressure hole valve that can be entered with a special device to introduce grease into the joint. The dealer blamed Dodge and Dodge blamed the dealer for not honoring the warranty. Both parties lying at this point. When the local dealer finally had our unit repaired after 3 months in the shop, the total bill was 16000.00 dollars. So the moral of the story is, if you have a 3500, 4500, or 5500 4x4 Ram you better drop your drive shaft NOW and put some grease in the port that no one knows about or you will be faced with a massive bill. It is also worth mentioning that you are supposed to do this at every oil change. The U-joint that the local dealer put in new was put in without grease, as I went straight to a competent mechanic and had the shaft dropped to find out. It took 16 zerks of grease before it filled. So basically they put a dry joint back in and we were headed back down the same road to destruction. The local dealer did absolutely nothing to help and therefore have lost years of routine maintenance work due to their sorry practices. Bad business decision. I know take all of units out of town for work. All Ram 4x4 owners better beware!!

We have taken our 2015 Ram 3500 Tradesman diesel numerous times to three different dealers to try and find the source of diesel exhaust coming into the cab through the air ducts especially when the heater is on because the air does not recycle. It makes our entire family sick. We are being poisoned by diesel exhaust. Ram claims that no one else has this problem which is obviously a lie. It sounds like Thaddeus of S. Atoms River, NJ has the same problem. We also drove the identical vehicle on the lot and it had the same smell. This is a serious health issue and Ram needs to address it immediately before someone who doesnt have the same sensitivity to smells dies of diesel exhaust poisoning. Look it up on the internet. It is serious. It can cause chest pains up to two days later. Immediate issues include headache, nausea, throat and eye irritation. Please call Dodge Ram and complain if you have a similar problem. 2011 Dodge 1500 Truck Crew Cab, Dark Red - Real simple things: The brake pedal makes a popping noise when you push it down or let it up. Ive now tried on 3 different times to get that fixed. This last time I was told they could not duplicate the problem. What a sorry excuse. The second time I was in their garage they could hear it and sprayed the brake pedal with some kind of lubricant that lasted for approximately 2 weeks, then the squeak came right back! There is a problem with the CD player, it skips towards the end of the CD songs - it rattles, and if you hit a bump, it ejects the playing CD. The mechanic claimed he could not duplicate this problem as well.So I asked Micheal (one of the service order writers) to get in the truck with me and I put in a CD less than a month old and showed him how it starts skipping towards the end of the CD. He claimed he heard it skipping, which of course it was. I am so tired of these people thinking I will just go away and live with the problems my new truck has... I guess! Ive had the truck 6 months and it has a little over 8,000 miles on it. These 2 problems I have with the truck since the first day I drove it home. At this point in time, I no longer want them to fix the CD player. I want a brand new one! I dont think they know how to fix it since the problem is still there 6 months later! I sure hope you can help me.

I had a great experience when I owned my Dodge Ram. The truck was very nice as far as inward and outward appearances, and it was sporty enough for a casual day, for a baseball cap and jeans, and classy enough for a Sunday afternoon tie and shirt day. The gas mileage was much better than I thought and the ride was extremely comfortable. There was plenty of leg space and the engine was as quiet as a mouse. If I ever get to the point when I can afford to purchase another Ram, I would do it in a heartbeat, with no hesitation.

Also randomly my wipers stopped working. The paint is cracked on 2 spots - whats next? In regards to a 2014 Ram 2500 - under 40K miles. I was recently involved in an accident which resulted in the truck rolling over multiple times. The speed of the truck was just over 50mph when it began to flip. At the end, the truck was sitting in the middle of the road on its roof, without a single airbag deployment. Regardless of FCAs comments, I think being the driver, I was in a much better position to dispute the seatbelt slack or tensioner. I wasnt driving leaning over the steering wheel, but somehow, with the seatbelt on, my chest slammed into it. If it did lock at any point, it was well after the point it should have. At the end, I was fully turned sideways in the seat, upside down, with over a foot between myself and the seat. Locking after the slack comes out doesnt constitute it working to me.Public - be aware - FCA has claimed that the vehicle decides when to deploy airbags in a rollover event. (Note: - in their response, they do not specify these tolerance levels of course). Ill attach pictures showing the damage to the outside of the truck, along with the inside showing no airbag deployment. I will also paste FCAs direct comments. Look at the pictures. Imagine yourself or your loved ones in that vehicle. Then read the FCA comments. If after all that, you feel that there still is no need for airbag deployment, then go ahead and buy one. For those that believe they should have deployed - please get the word out.For full disclosure - I did buy another 2500 myself. I was, until I received the FCA email an hour ago, a loyal RAM buyer. I bought the new truck 2 weeks ago with the hopes that FCA would have told me a sensor was bad, wire disconnected, or something that pointed to a failure. I never, in my wildest dreams, would have thought that something as violent as I went thru, did not warrant airbag deployment. (Also, it took about a month before they could get the vehicle inspected and respond back. Every call to them was a standard response - you will hear back from someone in 1-2 business days.) I will be pleading with the dealer to take the truck back. Personally, I could not in good conscience put another person in that vehicle, fully knowing that in the same situation the air bags would not deploy.FCA comments: We have had the opportunity to review the results of our inspection, and must advise you we believe the air bag system operated properly, and as designed in this incident. Your Ram is equipped with a passive safety restraint system that consists of Seat Belt Tensioners (SBT), Side Curtain Air Bags, Side Seat Airbags, and driver and passenger Front Air Bags. The SBTs actuate to remove slack in the seat belts to snug the occupant into the seat at the onset of an accident. The Air Bag Control Module uses a roll rate sensor to determine the severity of a rollover event, and the appropriate response, activate the SBTs alone, or activate the SBTs in conjunction with the appropriate Air Bags. If the SBTs are sufficient to provide protection, then the air bag deployment is not merited. In your accident it was determined that only the seat belt tensioner deployment was necessary.

I have 4 friends with the same truck, same year and no noise. I feel as though Im not being told the truth.

I have a 2013 Dodge ram 3500 4x4 diesel dually. Im on my 3rd set of front tires. The truck has 36000 miles on it. Will not hold a front alignment. Dodge is aware of this problem and offers no repair solutions. The tires are worn out before the recommended oil change.

1997 Dodge truck paint peeling off in mass - Lousy Dodge/Chrysler paint. Beware spending big bucks on a Dodge Ram or Chrysler product. The paint has peeled off the hood, top of the cab and almost every horizontal surface. It is also creeping down the sides. It is like a time bomb. It started about 4 years ago, like a timer went off. My last Dodge truck for sure. $2,500.00 to repaint. They have to strip it. I have friends with other brands of trucks with more miles and as old. They still have their paint.

Back in 2014 I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 diesel. About a month ago, got a check engine. Took it in and they scanned it and there is was an issue with SCR catalytic converter. Service advisor told me keep on driving, parts are on the back order. 14 days ago I got a message on the display DEF INCORRECT SEE DEALER, and then the countdown started on the display. 300 km vehicle will not restart. I took it to a dealer and its been 10 days since, no loaner, no rental, and no estimated date for parts. Horrible service. Think twice before getting a Dodge.

Took trip to Calgary. Needed fuel filters. Tried to get service on a Saturday. Couldnt get service. Here are some of the things I was told. Bear in mind this is a NEW DODGE DIESEL (OWNED LESS THAN A YEAR): This is our busy season so you will need to book after Wed. We dont have a mechanic in on Saturdays and one of the filters is tricky. It will leak if not done properly. Try Mr Lube. Mr Lube says too new a vehicle, we dont stock these filters (also remember I was told one filter is tricky so why would a dealership suggest Mr Lube). Sorry, we dont have these filters in stock.

At the point of sale no copies of bill of sale or installment loan contract
At the point of sale no copies of bill of sale or installment loan contract was given to me the buyer. Then when I tried to cancel after 3 days of no receipts they made out and deposited my 3 checks for the down payment. I DID not get any paperwork till June and had to call police to get it. Then they would not give my trade back and cancel deal. Then when I got the paperwork it was shrunk photocopies, not the hard copies I signed in. This is a 10-25k fine. So the loan was 30074.00 after paying in 17000 in cash for 4 years I still owe 29500.00. And the truck is worth 12000. This crime was committed on 4/09/13. And no one has ever helped me in this fraud and check writing fraud. So far they ducked every bullet. Im 71 and the payment is 657 monthly on a 15.8 loan. Where do I find relief. I was sick for 5 years. Im a vet that has been held hostage. Help please.

At 168,000 miles the bolts connecting the flexplate to the crankshaft stripped out. This ruined the crankshaft and flexplate and we are facing over $5,000 in repairs. We bought this truck (DODGE RAM 2005 3500 4X4 DIESEL DUALLY) because of the incredible reputation of the Cummins diesel and we are extremely disappointed and surprised this has happened. It was to be our lifetime truck.

I was driving my 2013 Ram 2500 with under 10,000 miles and it shut down to what seemed like one cylinder running, with an awful knocking noise. Was towed to the dealer. Ended up having a broken valve spring, 2 bent pushrods, and 2 lifters had to be changed. Rather than change the engine, they said there was no internal engine damage and would fix it. With the noise it made Im shocked theres no other internal damage. They fixed it and sent me on my way.A month later I change the oil and it was full of metal flakes. I guess when they diagnose for internal damage they do not look at the oil. I cant understand that. I called about the issue and they said I should not be doing my own maintenance and theres no proof that there was any metal in the oil because I changed it. How else would I have found this out? They have no idea where the metal could have came from but theres enough to make golf ball sized ball. Told me I was covered by the engine warranty and they would do nothing further to the truck and still deny theres internal engine damage. So I will continue to drive it circulating metal. They didnt even want it back to flush it out.A month later the check engine light is on so I have the code read with a reader at Auto Zone. Theres something wrong with the oil pump. Instead of replacing the engine they are going to keep making me bring it back, an hour away, to keep repairing it until the warranty is over. This engine should have been replaced, not band-aided. My $46,000 truck has rebuilt engine, more internal damage that they will not acknowledge, and only has 11,000 miles on it. Chrysler does not stand by their products and has no interest in making it right. Just wanted to warn others about what happens with Chrysler products when theres an issue.

Aug. 28, 2017, while driving a 2015 Dodge 1500 Eco Diesel at 40 mph with 41000 miles, recently serviced, truck lost power, tach went to zero, white smoke billowed from the back of the engine hood in front of windshield. Pulled over. Opened hood. Flames pouring out of backside of engine on both sides. Shot a 2 lb fire extinguisher, did not help much. Noticed a large oil or fuel slick on the passenger side of road, 3 feet to the outside of the truck. Engine compartment fully engulfed in flames within 4-5 min. Truck cab was inflamed by 7 min. We lost everything we had in the truck. Called Dodge to make claim on our 100,000 mile, Mopar Bumper to Bumper warranty... which they denied. We are looking to build a case against Dodge listing others who have had this same experience. Dodge has denied that anything was wrong with their truck. We disagree.

I have 2019 Dodge Ram lease, I’m very satisfied with the vehicle EXCEPT for the touch screen which is so attention distracting that I believe it poses a hazard for drivers. I find myself having to pull off the side of the road to operate features because the system is so complex it’s a distraction. The US Navy is getting rid of touch screens because they feel they are a danger and blame them for two recent vessel collisions. This kind of technology is highly overrated and make the vehicles less safe to drive. Knobs and buttons are easier to to navigate and safer to use. More tech is not always a better idea.

Purchased a 2007 2500 Dodge 5.9 SLT new. Have had very few problems with the truck except AC compressor which began overheating and would not cool. Had to the dealer several times before they finally replaced it. More recently in late August 2015 the Shift Cable broke. Had it towed to the dealer. After 4 or 5 days they checked and agreed it was broken. When asked when it would be repaired I was advised that the part was on back order (over 800) and would not be available until 14 November 2015. Very irritated I accepted the fact that I would not have my truck for a while. I check often for updates and recently told that it would be 9 December 2015 before part would be available.Irritated by the delays I contacted Dodge Customer Service and lodged my complaint. The customer service rep called four days later, apologetic, and advised that the part would not be available until late January 2016 or early February 2016. Dodge has a parts supplier problem since contractors provide them to Dodge. My complaint with this is bad suppliers and bad management. If in August there were already over 800 on back order what is the problem. This is obviously not an aftermarket part or they would be available.

My Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 SLT pickup has a severely cracking dashboard, and it has been an obvious manufacturers defect for many years. It is getting to the point where the dash could become dislodged in pieces and either fall into the dashboard area or worse, shatter in sharp pieces in the event of a collision. I called the customer service 800 number and was told that even though I am the original owner of the vehicle, that Dodge would do nothing to make my vehicle safe for me and my kids because there were too many miles on the truck. Sad thing is that the truck has been an excellent vehicle, fun, completely reliable, and I wont buy another Dodge product because they wont fix a cosmetic issue that could be very dangerous.Short sighted corporation, as I would have bought another Dodge in a heartbeat, but not now.

My 2012 Ram 1500 SLT is only used less than six months of every year and I have had two years yet the rear differential seal keeps going. Its been replaced twice and is leaking again in under six months since the last replacement. I requested they check that and the exhaust manifold last time it went in for repairs, and instead of doing so they suggested I buy a new truck, and when I refused their offer they continued to try to push me into it with numerous follow up calls. Needless to say they didnt even check why the seal keeps going just told me it was worn out and theres nothing that causes that, then told me the rattling noise was because I needed an oil change which had been done a month prior. Told them if thats what it was to do the oil change. After paying for another oil change and bringing my truck home I am still having the same issues, what do I do?

Ive had this truck at my dealer 3 times for a burning smell coming from the vents when at a traffic light or just sitting idle. After getting the truck back again, the burning smell is as bad if not worse than ever. Ive started asking for a new truck. Im going to lemon law next and then to small claims court. I would not recommend Ram trucks to anyone especially the dealer that Ive been bringing it to. Very, extremely displeased with Ram and Lester Glenn in Toms River, NJ.
