Product Reviews:
Between Range and Land Rovers, there's a ton of options. There's the Sport, Discover, and Evoque which are all different prices. They are very nice and easily customizable. You can customize almost anything. A popular route is the blacked out Range Rover, which looks very sleek. You can also choose from the basics - just color of leather and outside. The car is beautiful inside and beautiful outside! I love the look and feel of the cars. Great colors for leather and outside. It has very distinct look and you can tell they are Rovers. A lot of the cars have a 7 person capacity, but the back seats can be small and crammed. The front seats are full and luxurious, though, and could comfortably seat two petite people (not while driving though!). It's overall a great car and would recommend it.Alice of Needham, MA

I bought a Range Rover Sport HST 2022 a few months ago. Has been in the shop for the last month. Dealership has put several hundred miles on the vehicle in road test. They cannot give me a return date for my vehicle. Can't believe I spent over a 100k on this vehicle and it doesn't even make it to 5k miles. Definitely a lemon, and the customer service is horrible. The car is amazing! It's very standard but I haven't really had any problems with it so far. It helps me get to the places I need to go without a hassle. My mom loves it! The color has a nice feel to it. I would recommend others to try it out and see if they like it because it's a very good car and I don't see many people with it. It's very spacious and when I need to I can store things in it. I can have up to 5 people in the car. It's a very reliable car. I have had to put new tires on it just to keep it fresh. Overall I haven't had too many upgrades but I would like to change the color up just a bit.Stephanie of Atlanta, GA

When I first received my 2018 Range Rover HSE it was a great car for the first month but it's been a year and now I absolutely hate it, here are some reasons why. The infotainment system is the worst that I have ever worked with. The screens in the car will all go black in the middle of driving, even on the highway. It is impossible to connect a brand new iPhone X to the BRAND NEW Range Rover, I have tried relentlessly to connect my phone to the car through Bluetooth. The Bluetooth in the car is always failing. The glitching and lag from the infotainment screens make you want to take a baseball bat to the screen. If you have made it this far in my review now I'd like to tell you that my family have had 6 previous Land Rover vehicles and I have a heart felt love for the brand. But, if Range Rover won't fix their infotainment problem, I will never buy another one and suggest that no one should either. Finally you may be thinking to yourself,"Did you do anything to resolve the issues?" Yes, I have gone to my local Range Rover dealership more than 2 times and they have given my car updates. These updates HAVE NOT WORKED. I still face all the same issues I had faced about 11 moths ago. My favorite part in this experience is the lack of reality that my local Range Rover dealership has. They have told me repeatedly that if I experience any problems with my car them I should,"pull over and shut off the car for 5 to 10 minutes." So I guess every time there is malfunction with the infotainment system (which is about every day) then while driving to what ever destination I am traveling to that day, I should just pull over and take, "5 to 10 minutes," to restart my car. I'm gonna leave this review by saying I used to love Land Rover but my car sucks and so does the Land Rover for the way they have dealt with this issue.Reed of Libertyville, IL

I purchased a NEW 2018 Range Rover Sport in October 2018. Right out of the gate I noticed the throttle response was delayed. When I press the gas there is a 1-2 second delay before the truck moves. When you have the wheel turned it's an even longer delay and then the truck bucks and goes. According to Land Rover White Plains and Land Rover Freeport it's normal. Entering the highway is playing a game of chicken. I have to time the passing cars and hit the gas early to merge and pray I don't hit someone. In November 2018 (1 month of ownership) my truck wouldn't drive. The car was on and everything was running but the transmission and gears wouldn't work. The dash said "HDC FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL FAULT, TRANSMISSION FAULT & GEAR SHIFTER FAULT". I towed it to LR Freeport and they didn't have any loaner cars to give me so I had to rent a car from Hertz. Dealer said I would be reimbursed for the rental. Now LR is giving me a hard time about reimbursing me for the rental when according to my warranty and contract I'm due a loaner when I bring it to service at no cost to me!! I'm still fighting for reimbursement! After picking up the truck they said it needed an update. It's crazy how a little update can affect so much. Now the truck is fixed but the throttle is still horrible. The 2 center screens are delayed before turning on (1-2 minutes). The "maps" in the infotainment odometer doesn't turn on. The rear view camera is delayed and choppy. My sunroof makes a whistling noise (according to LR that's normal). My park distance control works when it wants and when it's cold out I have to run the truck for 15-20 minutes before I can drive it otherwise the transmission bucks and revs but truck doesn't move. How can you sell something for so much money and it's nothing but problems and unreliable?? The internet is FULL of bad reviews and complaints for LR.THE WORST $90k I've ever spent!!! I feel like I was robbed! I pray someone steals it so I can rid myself of this headache!! HOW DARE LR SELL THESE EXPENSIVE CARS THAT HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! So unreliable! Get a BMW or Mercedes, save yourself the headaches! Oh and my father has a 2018 Discovery for 2 months and has had it in for service 9 times!! Looking into local lemon laws for him.Salvatore of East Meadow, NY

It's my second purchase of a Range Rover. The first was excellent but the second is junk! The car (2015 Range Rover) was fine until it went in for the second service to the Miami dealership. It had normal service plus tire rotation, balance and alignment. It took 3 days which is absurd for 4-5 hours of work. They delivered it back to me and I drove it that night. When it reached 65mph it began shaking and I mean shaking apart. How could it go in perfect and come out a mess with 12k miles? After the second attempt to repair the problem, I was told I had an out of round tire. I was very confused. I called the tire manufacturer and they were more confused than me. They said for the sequence of what had taken place thus far, it was impossible. Still no smooth ride so it went in again. I started thinking about how when I accelerate from a stop into a turn, it seems that one of the tires jerks sometimes. This began when the car was new. When I spoke to my service writer, he had the service manager ride with me and just by chance it did the jerking motion again. The manager said it was "normal traction control". Why did I dismiss it so quickly? I'm not the expert is the true answer. Did that cause the out of round tire? Now it jerks all the time and shakes at 65mph and higher speeds. To make a long story short, I've used the Lemon Law of the state consumer protection laws. The dealership had another attempt to repair but it has only gotten worse. I then met with the GM who agreed it doesn't ride smooth. "Get new tires and bring it in for a trade" was his advice. So I did and the deal for the trade was an additional $8000 and my lease payment went up to $2100. I just stood up and walked out. Thank goodness I saved every email to corporate, which by the way was worthless. 35 emails with proof of dealership lies, the invoices of five attempts, every text message and voicemail backed up with the AT&T bills, 3 witnesses and a law degree is the backup I have. The state and I will send a message to Land Rover loud and clear.Michael of Miami Beach, FL

If you're looking to buy a Range Rover please run. 1 month out of warranty, engine totally done, Land Rover and Jaguar totally looked the other way. Offered no assistance and stuck me with the bill. Totally unprofessional. Took 42 days to get back with me. And when they did the once a year oil change that was required they said "was not enough for the $120,000 truck."tara of Medford, NJ

There's a lot of colors and styles to choose from. It's well built and has shiny paint, nice seats and dashboard. The setup of the whole vehicle is very stylish and comfortable. It has matching colors and easy to read. Also has bright lights in and out. The clock works and can be read easy. I love the radio, too. The windshield is perfect and clear, and powerful wipers. Also, the back up, brake and headlights are strong. There is enough leg room for all my long legged passengers. There is enough seat space to be comfortable, and can even carpool. You can customize it in anyway they have available. But I wouldn't change too much of the vehicle from its already amazing design. Simple and up to date is best. Moreover, safety is top in this vehicle.Erica of Columbus, OH

Have a Range Rover Sport- bought in August 2014. The car is 6 months old. The car door handle has fallen off. Range rover claims it is not a warranty problem. Poor customer service. A high end vehicle like Range Rover should stand behind their product. A car that is 6 months old should not be missing a handle!!! Nor should I have to pay out of pocket to get the handle replaced as it should never have fallen off in the first place. Dealership told us they have had numerous cars come in with this issue. A defect in the car??? Maybe Range Rover should stand behind their product and not tell customers that it's a wear n tear problem. Not when the car is NEW.Franca of Woodbridge, ON

The fact that they are endangering me and fiancée’s life by letting me drives a car that is seriously defective. Causes me to question the intentions of the companies risk management practices and their exposure in the event of an accident. I have made several telephone complaints throughout the years and have taken the vehicle in for various repairs but more importantly it is the engine/turbocharger issue that endangers my fiancée’s life when the vehicle is not operating properly. It will not accelerate and I will have to turn off the engine and restart the car. This is very unsafe and has been in the shop for over 44 days over a 24 months period. This was a brand new Range Rover Evoque -2013.As stated in the Motor Vehicle Warranty and Lemon Law we notified Land Rover of our intentions to have them buy back the car. Case Number #**. We began the request for a repurchase from Land Rover for the purchase or buyback for our 2013 Range Rover Evoque under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. They feel that they be didn’t have enough attempts that make the value of safety of car worthy of this act. They did offer a goodwill gesture of $1500 however by offering the money; they are acknowledging that there are numerous issues with this 2013 Range Rover Evoque. After being in the shop numerous times for Turbo Charger/Engine issues, we again took it in for service again in February 12, 2015, we didn't get it back until February 20th, 2015 and it will still need to go back to the shop. Mile 29924 (7 Days). The check engine light is on again, and it’s lacking power, and is red lining at 6000 RPM before it shifts gears. Joe went on test drive with the technician and the service writer to show them what he means. The technicians stated to Joe with the service writer in the car that something wasn't right with the turbocharger and that the engine was working too hard which is why it was causing it to shift at such a high RPM, however the Land Rover agent, is trying to say it’s something else. In reviewing the most recent paperwork, I don’t see why it would take 7 days to fix a bulb, which is how the latest service repair reads, nothing about Joe going on the test drive, and showing the red lining of the RPMs before it shift. They stated in the service contract that it was the thermostat regulator is not performing, they needed to do an update. There is no documentation that was witnessed by the Service Writer and the Technician that Joe went on the test drive and showed them it was red lining in the report or the notes. Which leads me to questions how truthful and forthcoming they have been with writing all the other service reports in Land Rovers favor. In Summation - THE "LEMON LAW" AND WHAT IS A REASONABLE NUMBER OF REPAIR ATTEMPTSAccording The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (beginning with Civil Code section 1790) we qualify for the lemon law and protection for a newly leased vehicle, when a dealer is unable to meet the terms express written warranty after a reasonable number of repair attempts, the manufacture is required to promptly replace the vehicle or return the purchase price of the lessee or buyer.SECTION (B-1) This is an UNSAFE vehicle and in the event I cannot accelerate through traffic or end up in an accident because of the poor quality of the engine and number of attempts to replace the turbo engine/charger is now going on its third repair. And it is currently back in for service repair again (February 12, 2015 5 days and counting) with the check engine light on. According to the mechanic that did a ride along with Joe **, it’s back in the shop because the engines is working overtime, and redline shifts at 6000 RPM, again making it unsafe to drive. The dealership since then knowingly put me back into a car that had numerous Turbocharger and engine problems and therefore doesn’t consider my life and safety to be a concern for them with this many engine attempts to fix a bad Engine/Turbocharger issue. If I get into an accident because of the lack of power/engine/turbocharger, and get T-boned by on-coming traffic and end up in the hospital, only then they would consider purchasing back the car? Or by then I could be dead, so then I guess they would win because they wouldn't have to buy back the car and just have a lawsuit on their hands for wrongful death.SECTION (B -2) within the first 18,000 miles or 18 months these problems are still happening and the same problem like engine/turbocharger issues where I cannot accelerate to move out of oncoming traffic can cause death or serious bodily injury, and has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer! Are they waiting for me to get in a horrible accident and then I would qualify for the LIFE THREATENING incident?SECTION (B-3) The vehicle is out of service because of the number of repairs and problems this 2013 Range Rover Evoque is having and although the manufacturer has made a number of attempts, the car is still very problematic. This vehicle has a cumulative total of more than 30 days since the delivery of the vehicle; it is actually now going on 44 days and counting. Despite repeated attempts at repair by Land Rover Service, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque still remains defective and therefore there has been a failure and refusal to conform the product to its express warranty under the law.In closing, and just a personal question to whoever is reading this…in looking over the services records, would you let your 16 year old son or daughter drive this vehicle? Would you be comfortable buying this car from me knowing the service/repair history I have attached. Can you honestly say you would feel comfortable driving this car yourself?Joseph of Folsom, CA
