Product Reviews:
The vehicle involved in a crash, driver's side Tucson airbag failed to deploy properly causing injuries. The company contacted and four months later nothing resolved, vehicle not inspected yet, no resolution and no other drivers warned of possible failure. Lack of real concern from company or leasing agency. Length of time it is taking them over a safety concern. We are not the type to sue but may be forced to to get them motivated to fix the issue or warn others.John of Ft Myers, FL

I purchased a new sonata about 4 months ago. Love the car except when I push the gas the car hesitates then jumps forward. This is very concerning and dangerous when sitting in traffic or trying to merge. Guess I should have checked the reviews but we had had 2 other Hyundai cars without this problem.Brenda of Winchester, VA

I purchased a 2013 Elantra in July 2012. I like a lot of Hyundai owners got the notice of the MPG error. It was nice that Hyundai was attempting to compensate the consumer. I now have nearly 46,000 miles and the car will be 2 years old this July. When I purchase the Elantra , Hyundai advertised 40 MPG, highway mid 30's city. Within 6 months it dropped to 32 MPG. My Elantra gets 22 to 24 MPG. I think it's time to get a lawyer. I wouldn't recommended a Hyundai to anyone. They sold me that car knowing it didn't get the gas mileage they advertised. Can't trust them, don't buy one!!!!!! .Donald of Lafayette, NY

Hyundai treated me with total disregard regarding my disposition fee being extended. I had a hip injury and need a hip replacement. Therefore, it would be foolish to get a new car and not be able to drive it. They were not understanding at all and was only interested in the disposition fee being paid to them. I paid the fee and wrote a letter asking if they would reimburse me the $439.05 until September 2019 when I would be able to drive again and purchase a new car from them at that time. They refused me and showed no compassion or consideration to me at all. It was all about the money they wanted. The whole disposition fee is to repair the car of any problems or cosmetic issues. My car was UNDER 13,500 miles which definitely improves the value of the car. I’m the only one that drove it and it was taken perfect care of. I even had an oil change done on it and filled the car up with gas the day I turned it in. The gentleman at Circle Hyundai said he never saw a car returned that still looked brand new. I will NEVER buy another Hyundai and will be sure to tell my family & friends of the total disregard they gave me. I was never treated so badly by a Corporation in my life. That did it for me and Hyundai.Kathy of Asbury Park, NJ

Hello, DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE CROOKS, looking into my options for a court case as we speak. FIRST I bought my car in 2016. Everything was great in that aspect, my salesman Ron was very nice, friendly, down to earth and not fake. I left happy, I loved my car at the time. I went to the bank for a different reason, paperwork in hand because I was going into work right after that. One of the loan officers said, "Hey you bought a new car. Congrats. You mind if I take a look at that paperwork," I said, "Sure no problem.." Well well. Long story short she seen that they snuck in a $2000 warranty that I DID NOT agree too. We all know Hyundai has the best warranty around. 100,000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first. She also seen my rate was way too high. She fixed that as well. She also saved me almost $200 a month on my payment a year off the loan.Fast forward to today. I just got my title in. I've paid off my car this year. Title says 3,229 miles on instead of 9 miles like it was when I bought it. Also says USED when it was brand new off the showroom floor. I have a picture of the odometer the day I bought it and left with it where it says 9 MILES!! not 3, 229 miles. I now do some research and see this is something they do all the time, sell people LOANERS and or RENTALS and say that they are brand new. Plop them on the showroom floor and screw over people right and left. Not me. I'm not letting this go. NO way NO how! I work hard for my money and I will not be fooled by some car salesman prick in a Walmart suit. Thank god I took pictures of that odometer. Thank god!I called today and spoke to a DJ who actually said "I looked up your paperwork and **." REALLY BRO? Ok. Tells me I knew I bought a loaner. I said, "A what?" "You know a rental car?" The hell I did. Joe and Ron never disclosed to me my car was a rental just like they didn't tell me about the extra warranty they threw in I didn't ask for.. Empire if your reading this... I'll be in touch...don't worry.Stephanie of Fall River, MA

I had my inner CV boots replaced which were under warranty. After Hyundai's service department fixed the inner CV boots, my car broke down about 2.5 weeks later (it seemed like a transmission problem). I had to have the car towed. They claimed they fixed something, without giving me any detailed information and it broke down again 1 week later (I had the same exact feeling of the transmission when it broke down, where I had to have it towed again - this is very frustrating and is extremely dangerous! The service manager informed me that the axle was broken on the first time it was in and it was fixed. The second time around I received numerous answers on what was wrong. They have claimed to fix the accelerator now, but there are several new problems. I did not have one issue with my car before taking it in to Hyundai for service. Now, we cannot figure what is wrong exactly because the computer seems to be malfunctioning. I have had the spark plugs and wires replaced.Elizabeth of Cincinnati, OH

My husband and I have tried for over 3 months now to get a COPY of our title sent to the WA DMV to register our car. We get tossed around to multiple agents, they make us verify our information multiple times, we get disconnect frequently, and worst of all NO ONE SEEMS TO EVER BE ABLE TO ANSWER BASIC QUESTIONS. We have been told multiple times that the copy of our title was sent to the DMV but every time we call, the DMV says they haven't received it. We then call Hyundai who says "we're sorry someone told you that, we will send it out today" THIS CYCLE KEEPS REPEATING ITSELF OVER AND OVER!!! We are at our wit's end and are thinking about taking legal action. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI!!!Claire of Vancouver, WA

While returning from destination 50 miles from home, we stopped to take a break. My wife noticed that the rear bumper had detached from the right side of the car. I was unable to snap it back in and forced to drive back with it detached. Because of the "wind" caused from driving, the bumper (made of rubber) tore even more.I brought the 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited into the Hyundai dealer in La Quinta. They examined it and took photos, Their position was that it was caused by an "outside force" and refused to cover it under warranty, I escalated to the Hyundai Southern Regional office. After several days, they contacted me and agreed with the dealer. This is "BS" because the only "damage" they saw on the bumper was some "missing" paint on the underside. I checked it out and there was no paint missing, the surface was smooth, not rough as it would be if it was scraped. The paint was "missing" because it was not completely painted underneath. I extremely disappointed and would never buy a Hyundai again, I think they are cheaply made. The exterior dents with even a minor bump from a parked car door.Leigh of Indio, CA

I turned in my Hyundai vehicle on August 25, 2011 under the Hyundai Assurance program. And on September 6, 2011, Hyundai continued drafting my account for payments even after my automobile was returned.Geoffrey of Dripping Springs, TX

My warranty was voided by Hyundai because of their authorized dealership installing an alarm system without my knowledge. I was informed of this after I took my car in because of cranking issues, gas smell and car jumping into different geals by itself. After the dealership pulled and worked on everything on my car, they sent a field engineer who told Hyundai to void my warranty. Now I have a car that I can't drive because of safety issues and not one representative from Hyundai cared that my car was is unsafe to drive while I'm still paying monthly payments on the car. It's amazing how Hyundai voids a warranty after their authorized dearlership install parts when you didn't ask them too. I eventually was sent an official letter from Consumer Affairs stating that they paid me for this service. Well Hyundai, if you paid me for this service, I'm still waiting for the Check!!! Don't TRUST Hyundai. As there commerical says, They shoot straight with their customer. Yes they do, with lies to avoid their obligations.Carol of Houston, TX
