I bought my in July 2018. Have taken the car to the Kia dealerships 6 times and to no avail. They will not fix the car because they say on the computer that they hook it up to cannot find anything wrong. The weekend that I bought it I immediately called them to let them know what was happening. When you put the car on ECO after 10 miles it starts to move to the 3/4 mark on the gauge, there is a ton of white smoke out of the exhaust and smells of gas, also the sticker on the car says 24/28/36. I get 13 miles to the gallon in town and Lexington, Ky is not that big which I get at the highest is 322 miles per tank, also they come with an 18.5 gallon tank but on empty with the light on I get 13.5 gallons per fill up. They have told me, "There is 5 gallons in reserve and also you're not going to see a big difference until the 10,000 mile mark," which we all know is pure crap. Do not ever buy a Kia. It would not let me give it zero stars.

I had a sale agreement with proper payments and documents for buying a car for my disabled dad of 81 years old. The local Kia company didn't keep their promises and the sale contract and overcharged us. I tried to reach the international Kia Consumer and post-sales department via internet with several attempts. Until now Kia International never replied me. Is this Kia's policy?

After just a few months of driving my KIA I noticed spots in my paint. I took it to the dealer. They said it was from tree sap and that the warranty didn't cover it. There was a couple employees of the dealership that told me not to give up as management knows there is a problem with the paint, but they don't know how they are going to handle it. Everyone that I have shown the paint to outside of Kia has said it is poor paint because whatever caused the spots went right through the clear coat. I am sixty one years old and this is the first car that I have ever had that had this problem. I don't park under trees, even though with previous cars I did and had no problem. I always keep my car washed.

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonota from them. They told me they just got the car in and went through it thoroughly. Two weeks later the motor seized up! Come to find out the motor was a junkyard motor!! Of course they claim to not know this but if they went through it then how did they not know? Lies!! So I went back and they said all they could do is charge me $3000 for a new motor (which they said was a deal but Hyundai only wanted $2500). Lies!! Or give the car back and they keep my down payment and first payment!! WHAT!! Sales manager was a complete jerk!! Told me they keep the down payment to cover their costs because I blew up the motor in his car!! You sell me a junk car for $8000 and I should cover what they lost! Wow!! If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I own a 2008 KIA Rondo, the bearing in the crank went. I am 15,000 over the warranty limit, and 8 months past warranty. Bought it brand new. KIA Canada says simply too bad your warranty is up. They also said that it was an engine fail but does not consider this to be a safety issue so will not do a courtesy warranty to help me either. Which KIA says they have done in the past, I say **. I have driven KIAs for 10 years, exchanged last one before 5-year warranty, but was assured that engine would have failed as well. Taking people's money on a product you don't stand behind is unfair. Now you offer 10-yr warranty. That tells me you may have known your engines were crap and now they may have improved. What about taking care of your old customers who bought your garbage first. I still owe money on a car that is useless. There are many of other people out there like me and I will find them and get the word out.

I was on the freeway when my Sorrento steering wheel and brakes locked on me. I couldn't stop the car. It started malfunctioning and when I proceeded to stop the car from veering off the road, I had to place my hand on the gear and force it into park in order for it to stop. I was stuck out waiting 3 hrs for my husband to rescue me... on the side of the road. And when I restarted it to drive it back home I had to drive under 50 miles with the hazards on the whole way there. Once I got to my exit the car malfunction again and proceeded not to stop but kept going and I was forced again to put it in park in order for it to stop. I'm still very much upset about it when I got home I cried because I could've ran into a innocent person along with my life and really caused a lot of damage. I'm thanking God that everyone is safe. But I don't know how I'm gonna get into that car again. I'm literally terrified of my Sorrento now.

Took my car in, notice the next day that oil had dripped from car. Had got oil change, tire rotation and change radiator out and got inspection on car. Drove car to bank next day. Came back home, saw something on side walk. It was oil that had leaked out. Car had to get tolled in to Hutchinson dealer, was without car but they didn't ask me if I wanted a car. And then I had call them several times after I sent a picture of what had happen. They are very careless, my car was the first one there for the times I have been there. They don't speak to you but want you to buy car from them then they are nice. After that they treat you like nothing.

I made an appointment a week before my appointment. I was very specific about the recall over the phone when I made my appointment. I have came in. I was very specific when I talk to the front desk why I was there over my recall, I even told them if I need to pull out the paperwork, they corresponding with me acknowledging why I was there. They have told me it will take 2 1/2 hour. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes I went to the front and I noticed my car has not been pulled in the back so I asked them if they can take me home like some other dealerships do. After talking to them more about this recall they told me that the parts not there and they were trying to do something else with my vehicle that wasn’t approved. Now in February 5 they wanted to put a liner in my gas tank. I told them I did not wanted that done and that’s what they were trying to do and charge me $160 for it without my acknowledgment. Poor customer service. They don’t listen to the customers and after all this the man looked at me like I was the one confused. I would definitely not recommend this business. They honestly don’t care about their customers.

I purchased a 2013 Kia Sorento 22 months ago. Driving a few days ago, the vehicle started making a very old noise, then a huge bang. Stop and the car hasn't moved since. No check engine light... no low oil like... no indication that anything was going wrong. I kept all maintenance and upkeep records. I had a log on the oil changes since my dad did them regularly. The engine locked up, Kia wants 6,500 dollars to replace. I purchased the extended warranty, the warranty company will not honor since the oil changes were not performed at a shop. I'm on a very difficult place being I still owe on car and don't have 6500 dollars laying around to buy another motor... this is a known problem and they are doing nothing to fix it!! I have the warranty and they refuse to cover since my dad did the oil changes. They told me they don't have proof my dad actually physically put the oil in my car so they refuse to approve the repairs!!! This warranty coverage was not cheap either. I don't know what to do, I'm a single mom, no reliable transportation to work now. Don't buy a Kia!!!

Misdiagnosing: I initially went to Gwinnett Place Kia, which is now Rick Case Kia in Duluth, GA because my vehicle was and still is losing coolant. Napa auto repair shop did an engine block pressure check and told me I was losing coolant somewhere in my engine. I was also given a technical bulletin report for my vehicle indicating an engine block defect that can be causing the coolant loss. I went with this info in hand and my complaints were ignored. I was told that the pressure check didn't indicate coolant loss, but yet I am still losing coolant to this day. I had a new radiator installed maybe 2 years ago. I recently had my thermostat replaced. My vehicle has never overheated. Yesterday I took my Kia back to the dealership and is now being told that my 2-year old radiator is clogged and was charged $55 for another incorrect diagnose. The technician was trying to tell me I was filling my radiator with plain water, never happened. I know better to only fill it with coolant. I took my vehicle in due to codes P0303 and the coolant issue. My code P0303, which is a misfire on cylinder #3, was never resolved. I was told that my spark plugs and wires need to be replaced. I had new plug and wires with coil packs replaced. This didn't resolve the problem. I was then told that one of my fuel injector needs to be replaced to correct the issue. They replaced, that issue still exist. Then I was told that my engine needed to be replaced. They dismantled my engine so my warranty company can approve the engine replacement and they came out to find that my head gasket needed replacing. My repair was denied so I had to pay to have my engine put back together. Replacing the gaskets didn't solve my issues. Kia had done unnecessary repairs on my vehicle and the issues of loss coolant and #3 misfire has never been fixed.
