Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Toyota City, Aichi, Japan. It was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda and incorporated on August 28, 1937. Toyota is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world, producing about 10 million vehicles per year.

Toyota set the automotive industry on its ear with its second-generation 2004 Prius hybrid-electric vehicle, though in the following decade, it lagged behind Tesla and other automakers in developing battery electric vehicles. Instead, Toyota has recently put considerable effort into developing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Its entry in the segment, the Mirai, is available only in Los Angeles, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay area, where there are about 50 hydrogen refueling stations available. If you care to be part of this automotive experiment, the Mirai’s only competitors are the equally ungainly looking Honda Clarity FC and the 2015-17 Hyundai Tucson fuel cell vehicle, which mercifully looks like a Hyundai Tucson. Toyota’s Mirai is a four-passenger sedan about the same size as a Camry, but with an abundance of origami folds.

Product Reviews:

I can't begin to tell you enough about how awesome this car is. It is fun to drive, easy to maintain, and every single functioning piece of equipment is of the best quality I have ever owned. I have all the Toyota Camry in the past and it was awesome as well. The only thing that this car could not withstand was one time when I was unfortunately stuck up on a block ice and snow that the plows left on the road on an exit ramp in the dark. Somehow when I hit the snowbank a sensor fell off the bumper but it remained dangling inside the bumper for a very long time whilst I tried to figure out why my car was not running right. All I had to do was snap the sensor back in the bumper and my entire vehicle runs like new again. The strange thing was that the misplaced sensor caused my engine to idle rough and not give enough air to the engine.

Purchased a brand new Toyota 4Runner in 2016. At 64000 miles, just over warranty, it experienced a stuck lifter in the cylinder head. Leaked all the oil, and scored the piston walls. No check engine light, no low oil pressure alarm, nothing to signify anything was wrong with the vehicle. Toyota denied the warranty claim and now we are stuck with a 6600 bill to replace the engine. I have always been a toyota fan, have owned them all my life, but I will now be looking at other options. Beware, this could happen to you.

I have driven a Toyota for the last 11 years. My first was an echo then I bought a new corolla ascent in 2008. I loved that car and nothing ever went wrong. I would have given a 100% satisfaction. In Oct 2015 I traded it in for a corolla ascent sport. What a difference - First of all I did a hill start and smelt burning or petrol. When I complained to Toyota they said it's my driving... I've been driving for over 20 years and never experienced this before. And in June 2016 I find a hole in the seam on the back of the driver chair. My instinct tell me that it is a weak material/stitching but also a weak joint in the manufacturing of the chair itself. Toyota tell me it's the material and will change the seat cover. Today 21 June 2016 I drop my car off at the service centre. I stress my concern on the weakness of the chair itself. I pick my car up and they haven't changed the cover, they have ordered a new back for the seat. I was right, it was a fault in the chair itself. Shame on Toyota. They were always right up there with safety. Now I'm not so sure. This seat would have crumpled had I been in an accident. I describe this car as ascetically lovely but cheap manufacturing. I would never have said this pre this car.

The front driver seat's edge of my 2019 Toyota Highlander is completely smashed and it makes driving and especially getting out of the car very uncomfortable (not even talking about the look and value of the 3 year old car). I noticed the problem almost a year ago, since then it's been getting worse and I asked for the seat replacement last December, when the car was 2 years 8 months old and still under the full warranty. I went to the Desert Toyota and a manager there found my complaints reasonable and submitted a claim. We got a response from Toyota in about a month and they refused to replace or fix a seat under the warranty saying that it's simply an "outside influence". I believe that it's ridiculous since I weigh 120lb and have less than 30,000 miles over those years. Moreover, this is my THIRD Toyota Highlander. I've had the previous one for about 10 years and no problem with any of the seats with the same usage. Obviously something was wrong with that seat from the beginning and it should be replaced under the warranty.Otherwise, if it's just normal wear and tear according to Toyota, what kind of garbage was it made from if it won't even last three years with average usage? I'm not even talking about other minor issues that we've been having with that car. My previous Toyota started having more serious issues but only after about 7 years of usage. The first one was almost perfect. It looks like the quality of a Highlander is going down the drain. Definitely, it's going to be the last Toyota that we buy.

I inherited this Toyota Rav4 from my mother when she stopped driving. It works good for hauling kids, dogs and gardening supplies plus can handle 5 small bails of straw with ease. I also like the power locks and power windows and I love the 4 wheel drive. The car runs great, good on gas, handles great and can make it through a MN winter. I can make it up my drive way during the winter. But I would have liked better tires and wish it was less like a station wagon. And I'd like it if it is higher off the ground, I feel like I'm getting into a car and not a SUV. I also wish it had tilt steering and blue tooth.

Just told they would call when car is ready. ALWAYS POOR SERVICE FROM HANLEES SERVICE DEPT. Don't even answer their phone at times.

We leased a brand new 2019 Toyota Sienna XLE and after a few weeks it got a terrible mold smell. After being in the dealership shop for a few weeks we were told that it had a leak in the sealant by the side panel which was causing rainwater to leak in and gather underneath the mat by the driver seat. There was lots of mold growing there. It's unbelievable how a car can come off the Toyota assembly line this way. All our car seats, Clothing and personal belongings developed a terrible mold smell and had to be thrown out. Toyota didn't even care to reimburse us for the personal damage that we incurred or to reimburse us for our monthly payments. In other words we had to pay monthly payments to Toyota while we had a moldy car that wasn't drive-able. They told us if we don't make our payments they will ruin our credit. The car also caused us terrible embarrassment since we smelled from mold after exiting the van. After driving the vehicle we would shower and change our clothing in order not to smell and get embarrassment comments from others. We felt like we were dealing with a big company that couldn't care less about their small customers.

I purchased a 2014 Toyota Highlander from Northwest Toyota on Aug 30, 2017 for $36,750. As it was used, I purchased extended warranty insurance for 1800 dollars which would give me 3 years of warranty. I was told by the financier that this was called "bumper to bumper" insurance and to be assured if anything goes wrong, it will be covered.3 1/2 months after purchase I was having problems opening and closing the hatch. I went on the Toyota Forum and found out this was and is a common problems with 2014 Toyota Highlanders. I wasn't worried because most people said Toyota covered the costs for fixing it. I booked an appointment with Toyota and was told the insurance only covers the motor for the hatch but not the struts. The motor costs about 400 dollars and the struts are over 2000 dollars. I then looked up what is covered under the extended warranty and there is no mention of the hatch at all. There is also no mention that it is not covered. I have requested Toyota fix the whole thing or refund the 1800 dollars I paid for the extended insurance. I have not heard anything back.

I purchased 2015 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid from Toyota AutoNation, Austin, TX. I bought also 5 years protection plan. My car is 29K mileage. I have visited Richardson, TX last Friday and they charged me $88 for service and told me that, I could only go to Austin Toyota AutoNation or PepBoys for service free. Isn't that weird, you are paying additionally $1800 to take care of your car by Toyota and they tell you this. While I was buying this protection plan I don't think so someone mentioned it because I wouldn't buy then, I check all documents and never seen anywhere at all. Please contact me asap. Thanks.

Toyota cars and trucks are extremely dependable. I have a Toyota Matrix that has 265000 miles and still runs like a champ. I understand people want fancy but I would prefer a car that starts every single time.
