Kia K900 service and repairs

Kia Corporation, commonly known as Kia is a South Korean multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It is South Korea's second largest automobile manufacturer after Hyundai Motor Company, with sales of over 2.8 million vehicles in 2019.

The 2020 K900 is Kia's flagship sedan, and it shares its underpinning design with the Genesis G90. Although Kia isn't a traditional luxury brand, the Korean manufacturer is marketing this large sedan to buyers on the hunt for premium transportation. In many ways, the K900 is a credible and appealing choice within its segment. It provides driving dynamics that are smooth and composed, and its cabin is an oasis of comfort. Additionally, its price undercuts that of its key rivals by thousands of dollars. On the downside, the K900's interior is notably less upmarket than the cabins seen in rivals from brands such as Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Overall, however, it's hard to argue with the K900's value proposition.

Bought my Kia Sorento in 2012. It is a 2011 only had 29,000 miles when purchased. After having the vehicle for 1 week I noticed the car was very shaky on the highway. I took it back to the dealer (not Kia dealer) it was purchased from and they said a tire is bald and they would not replace. One month later I was driving home and my windshield cracked all the way up the entire window. Took it to be replaced thinking maybe a rock hit it and they brought me into the bay to show me that the windshield had been cracked from the inside because a heating element blew. Kia would not do anything to help. I have had to replace numerous parts and have many things fixed that should've not had to be fixed so early on in a vehicle (ex) oil pan cracked, starter stopped working, struts and wheel bearings needed replacement very early on. Since the car was purchased I've replaced my tires 4 times, had 4 alignments and the car still shakes... Recently the radio stopped working all the time and chooses when it wants to turn on. I wrote a review on twitter and Kia consumer reached out saying they would like to help. They called me got all info VIN, mileage etc. Told me to bring to a Kia dealership to have it looked at. I brought my car at the designated time they gave me. They ended up giving me a rental for the weekend so they can look at it only for monday to come and Kia consumer care calls me to tell me there is nothing they can do because of the mileage. Are you kidding me? They knew the mileage before having me waste my time to go have it looked at. Now they are also telling me the ball joints need to be replaced which is why it shakes. That's funny. I've had this car 4 years and you're telling me not one mechanic has figured that out... Kia consumer care DOES NOT CARE. Kia is the absolute worst company ever. I would never recommend buying a Kia unless you're looking to dump all of your money into fixing the car constantly.

The car drives good. It has been a pleasure to drive the Kia. I love how spacious it is, it gets good gas mileage on the road. My car is gold. I bought the car used. It was a good price for it. It's a Kia Sorento LX 2008. It only had 79 thousand miles on it when I bought it.

On 3/21/2014, I purchased a new kia cadenza. Two weeks after purchasing my 2014 kia cadenza, I noticed defect in the paint. I contacted Gossett Motor Cars, where I purchased my new kia. They contacted the corporate office. They buffed my new kia twice, and that was not successful. They then decided to want to paint only half of the car. With purchasing my 2014 kia brand new, I didn't think it was necessary to only paint half the car because this will affect my resale value, and I'm totally dissatisfied!

My Kia Optima that my son bought brand new in 2013 only has 45,000 miles. I co-signed for it. He is 27 years old and raises his want 4-year-old son, living check to check. Today they told me they want $8,000 dollars for new motor. They want 9 receipts for oil changes. He took it to Gateway Kia where he bought it in September 2013 to get inspected. Previously he took it to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Everything was great with inspection with Kia & they changed oil also. It's a far ride for him to take it there so he went to Jiffy Lube 2 more times. He has receipt from Jiffy Lube from September 2015 that we just looked at closely last night and noticed they put wrong oil in the car.I don't know if this caused it but they don't care. They want 9 receipts. 1 receipt for every 5,000 miles. He still had 3 more years to make $500. Payments. He doesn't have 9 receipts. He is going to lose his job cause he needs his car. It's day before holidays & our lives feel like they were turned upside down. He can't afford to get motor. Have no idea what to do. Kia just says the car was neglected. It's not fair! I can't stop crying! I am his mother. How can this happen to a car this new! I can't even talk about it anymore cause I feel sick.

I brought the car to the dealer with what appeared to be a wheel bearing problem, 98,300 miles. It had been a great car. I followed all maintenance according to the service manual. They called me back 2 days later and said it was internal transmission damage, manual transmission. When was the last time somebody heard of a modern manual trans failing? After getting the runaround for almost a month, they tell me that I should have been following the severe service schedule because I live in New York. The car has had an easy life, well cared for and garaged. So, Kia warranty isn't worth the paper it was written on in the manual. The 10/100 powertrain warranty is a scam. Warning, if you have a Kia, ignore the service schedule and follow the severe service duty schedule. That way, they can deny your claim later because it was used in severe service.

Purchased a Kia Rondo EXV6 in May 2008. Have had ongoing issues with the transmission which we started to notice around 71,000km. We brought the car in, they didn't find anything wrong. We followed our required maintenance plan and my husband is very particular about high maintenance for our vehicles. My husband purchased the extended warranty. At the time we purchased it he was told the extended warranty covered the car as though it were brand new! My husband specifically asked "if the transmission drops out of this thing at 199,000kms, will it be covered?" Answer was an emphatic “Yes, for sure! Guaranteed!”That was a lie. We repeatedly brought the car into two different dealerships with transmission complaints. And until last summer, the dealership's diagnostic tests deemed there was no problem found. Each time we had to pay over $100 for the diagnostic only to be told they didn't find a problem. Last summer, there was finally an acknowledgement that they found a problem with the transmission during their diagnostic. We thought “Wonderful, it will finally be fixed!” No such thing. We found out the dealership had to report to the Kia Protect extended warranty insurance company and received permission from them. They sent an adjuster out to 'test' our car. Of course the adjuster said there was no issue and refused the repair. Approximately two weeks ago, the heater and the heater blower went on the car. We were in an extreme cold alert in our area during that time. I brought the car in for repair and once again reported the problem with the transmission. This time I pinpointed what gears were slipping when shifting and it was getting bad. We received a message from the dealership - they confirmed the transmission was not shifting properly. They indicated they would have to put the claim through the extended warranty company and then wait for approval. In the meantime, they temporarily fixed my heater so I could take my car. The next week the heat went again and at the same time the dealership asked me to bring the car in for inspection by an extended warranty company assessor. The assessor acknowledged the problem with the transmission and said it needed to be fixed. He commented to the dealership's service department that our car was in really great shape and it was worth doing the repairs because it was in such great shape. We were relieved and happy. We thought this meant the transmission would FINALLY be fixed. The next call we received was from the dealership - they asked us to bring in our proof of maintenance paperwork as the EWC (extended warranty company) was now saying they would reject the repair because we did not follow the recommended maintenance. We did the required maintenance as outlined in our Owner's Manual and as advised by the dealership. We brought our paperwork in. The next call we received was from the EWC. First they tried to argue with my husband about the 'recommended' maintenance. My husband argued that we performed our 'required' maintenance and that not doing the 'recommended' maintenance did not void our warranty as it wasn't a requirement. When the EWC saw this angle was not going to work, they told my husband that the car was only worth $2500 and the repairs would cost more than that so they would not approve it. My husband argued and we looked up the black book value of our car. We found a car with approximately the same km's was worth at least $4000 more than that. I took to social media to vent my frustrations and suddenly my husband receives a call from an ombudsman from Kia Canada. He spouted the same crap as the guy before. I again took to social media and then my husband received a call 'offering' us a discounted rate of $900 to rebuild the transmission and this would include the repair of the heater and heater blower. We refused. We don't believe this company is being above board with us. They are not honouring what we were told when we purchased the warranty. This warranty is a scam. If they have no intention of repairing the vehicle then why cover it until 200,000km?!! This company should be reviewed by the government for the sales of these warranties.

Received Kia Motor Finance Lease Agreement, dated 09/19/2013 with noted Maturity Date of 09/19/2016. The disposition fee will be waived if you purchased or leased a new Kia Motors Finance within 60 days after the return of the leased vehicle. I had decided not to purchase and to return the car. I returned the car prior to 09/19/2016. When I leased the car on 09/13/2016, I had the alarm activated, 3m edge protectors door guides and handle cap, windows tinted 2-4 for a total amount of $1451. I had new brakes serviced on 06/06/2016 and completed set of new premium 19" tires installed just before the brakes this year. I took extra care of car which had no dents. I called Kia to go over added charge of $290 fee and was told the front bumper had a scratch which I was never aware of nor have I ever notice when the car was wax or washed. The car was waxed and spotless when returned. I took pride in keeping the car in top shape including using synthetic oil and filters. I received notice for request of $690 to be paid within 15 days from date of notice dated 09/29/2016. The total consisted of disposition fee of $400 and excessive wear and use of $290. My wife and I prefer not to be charged unnecessarily and as a result of this I will be frank with anyone that might be interested in leasing a Kia to watch out for these unnecessary added fees if one elects not to purchase the car. I sent check for above amount of $690. I did not take photos when I returned car since it was immaculate and did not foresee any problems.

This car has been nothing but a headache! For starters, the mileage stated in my sales agreement is about 6,000 less than what was actually on the vehicle at the time of purchase. I didn't catch this discrepancy until about a month later when I brought it in for an oil change. I tried contacting a regional manager, who promised to look into the matter, but continuous staff turnover lead me nowhere and I was very pleased with the vehicle at the time, so I just gave up, which I clearly regret. After about a year's time, I needed to replace the battery, which I paid for out of pocket because I was told it was only good for 30,000 miles. I just discovered this is not true and it should be covered for 2 years?! Soon after, my car broke down on Christmas Eve and I was told it was something to do with my fuel injectors. Once that was fixed, it broke down AGAIN a few months later and Kia kept it for weeks trying to figure out the problem. They put in a new computer, and when that didn't work, they replaced the whole transmission. This was covered under warranty.Just last week I was pulling out of a parking lot, and another car was speeding around a corner so I accelerated hard in order to avoid being hit. Then my car just stalled, so I pulled over and tried to restart it. All my warning lights came on and it wouldn't turn over. Also, a bit of smoke was coming from the engine. I had it towed to the dealership, and now they tell me the engine is seized because there was NO oil in the car. I had my oil changed less than 3 months ago, but I am just now due for one based on mileage. No oil lights came on prior to stalling, no signs of oil leaks anywhere, and no noises at all.The repairs are not covered under warranty because I am missing 2 service records, and there are times where I have gone about 1,000 miles over the recommended miles between oil changes (I was told about every 7,500 miles at time of purchase). There are 83,000 miles on the vehicle now, and I am so upside-down in my loan it's not even funny.. not to mention I am 8 months pregnant! This car is the biggest regret of my life!

Ok, I have a Kia Rondo LX with only about 49,000 miles on it. The other day we noticed a knock coming from the engine. Called dealer, brought it in. They drove it in the next day, engine seized! Well I talked to them on the phone and they said I had sludge in the oil. I just changed the oil a month ago! Long story short, they want 600 bucks to tear it down so they can find out what happened and go up to bat for me, yeah right! I bought this car thinking I wouldn't have to do something like this. Kia doesn't cover diagnostics, it's **! I wish they would have clarified that when I bought this junk box.

For 3 months off and on my 2012 Sorento loses power while driving. I have taken it to the dealership on Columbus Ga. They don't seem to know how to fix it. First it was a throttle engine sensor. Next they repaired something to do with the brakes. Then replaced the key fob. 1100.00 paid and still not repaired.
