I purchased a Husqvarna RZ46i on Wednesday the 21st of May. I arranged to pick up the mower after work on Thursday the 22nd. I got home late and decided to mow the lawn knowing that it would be dark by the time I got half way done. I noticed that the mower had a vibration in the deck when it was off and the motor was on idle. I looked at the electric clutch and noticed that there was far too much run out between the clutch and the motor shaft. I engaged the blades and idled the motor up to about half throttle and deck shook badly. If I sped the motor up the deck would smooth out some but vibration was sure to take a toll on the life of the bearings in the clutch and the deck spindles. I mowed the grass and the right headlight went out within 15 minutes most likely from the vibration. I called the store and arranged for another mower to try. They called me back when it was ready and I went to check it out. The other mower acted the same way! The mechanic said that it had a three year warranty and I told him that that would be around the time that the bearings would start failing. He said I could buy the extended warranty and I told him I could buy the clutch for less than that. I rejected that mower at the store and left it there. I told the mechanic that I wanted to call Husqvarna on Tuesday the 27th since they would be closed on Memorial Day and see where they stood on the issue. The customer service rep. had never heard of this problem and did not seem to know anything about belts and clutch alignment. She threw the responsibility back on the distributor as the one that should fix their Quality escape. Since the stores fix was the extended warranty and Husqvarnas was its not our problem then my decision was simple. I canceled the sell and bought a John Deere Z425. It was about a $1000.00 more but the clutch is aligned correctly. It runs and mows smooth as glass. Vibration is the number cause of failure in a bearing and then the heat that is generated in the process. When purchasing one of these mowers I would caution you to check the vibration and the run out on the clutch. Just because it may smooth out some at high RPM does not mean that everything is OK.

My Father-in-Law gave this tractor to me as a gift in Dec. of 2016. I was currently using a Craftsman 20hp 24 cut that I was perfectly happy with but decided to sell it and within a couple days it was gone. Still crying. The new Husqvarna made it to 5 hours before the transmission quit. Into the shop where the owners told me they didnt know if the company would honor the warranty because I didnt purchase it. So I loaded up, took it back to Lowes where I got one run around after another until I was told it was older than 30 days. I said it only had 5 hrs on it but they refused a refund or a trade. Back to the shop which had it for almost a month before repairs were complete. Warranty did cover tranny replacement. 10 hours in the Solenoid had to be replaced. 25 hours in and all three spindles had to be replaced. Not worth the hassle to try warranty. Im at 125 hours and one of the pulleys failed to the point the bearings were falling out of it. Husqvarna is hard to get ahold of, hard to work with and want everything done in paper. Ill never own another Husqvarna product, period! And I never shop at that big box store either.

I purchased a Huskee... did not get a chance to use it as the deck was set too low making it unsafe to run. I paid someone to come out and turns out that the carburetor is needing replacement. Mind, this is a new mower. For me, I would not buy one again.

I have or I should say had a Rider Model # YTH23V48. I bought it in Butler, MO 64730, from Young sales and repair. I bought it off of the showroom floor and paid more than I thought it was worth. I was dissatisfied from day one. It didnt have half of the deck clearance I was use to and it didnt serve my needs well at all. Previously I owned a Sears Craftsman mower, which was smaller horsepower and cutting width. That mower was ten times the Husqvarna was. It had twice the deck clearance and ran well for well over 14 years. When I went to get it repaired, I was offered to look over the New mowers at Youngs sales and service. I did not trade my craftsman in and left it there for repair and after several inquiries and two years later, I found that it was sold out from under me.Needless to say, I forced him to pay me for it. Bottom line is, after owning the Husqvarna for less than 3 years I am still paying for it and it now has a blown engine or so I have been told by Extreme Motors, the new Dealer in Butler, MO. Guess what? Their service was not any better. I have had it in there for a simple blown fuse and $400.00 later it had the wrong ignition put in, with no safety features anymore and they cut my headlight wires to stop the blown fuse problem. I gave them a piece of my mind just like I had given Youngs Sales. May I suggest that you make a better mow, along the lines of Craftsman or John Deere and do not let an unskilled shop operate in Butler furthermore. I am totally done with any Husqvarna product from here on and am seriously considering suing the company. That mower was a piece of junk from the start! I would also like to add that all I have is the card last four on which I am still paying ** and model number # Model # YTH23V48. I believe this company should reimburse each and every customer for whatever Husqvarna product they were unlucky enough to purchase. Absolutely terrible products and even worse service!

We are a dealer for Briggs, Kohler, Mtd, Speeco, Honda, Dolmar, Echo & Grasshopper. When I inquired to Husqvarna about being a dealer, they sent their representative to our facility. He looked it over & said, Well, its not conducive to the facility that we want to see. The funny thing is about twenty miles away, he signs up an Amish guy with a much smaller showroom than we have & gives him a dealership. Whats right about that? I guess I didnt realize that Husqvarna discriminates who can be a dealer & who cannot depending on your heritage.

I bought a garden tractor (Husqvarna 54 in cut) last year and with only 22 operating hours on it, it broke the belt for the cutting deck. It was not due to wear, the break was a clean break. At the time of the failure, the mower was sitting on a asphalt driveway and was not even cutting. Husqvarna says they will not replace it after 30 days. We bought this tractor partly due to the excellent warranty. Now we find out the warranty is so exclusive that we will probably never be able to use it. Never buying another Husqvarna!

I was looking for a Chainsaw for my Wife. I choose Husqvarna. I found a 240 series 38.2 2 stroke motor. It was light, looked to be user friendly and really nice to look at. Before trying to start it I read the manual, gassed and oiled it up. I went to pull start it and it acted like the motor was locked up. I checked the chain break and it was off. We had a family emergency and I was not able to look at it for several weeks. I tried again to start it and it was so hard to pull. I then called the company called Innovations and told them my problem. They looked me up in their computer and found me. They did at that time let me know that it was not under warranty! I have only owned it for a few months I said, she told it has a 90 day warranty! I missed it on the paperwork that was sent with the saw. I then was stuck either taking it to the shop in Town or work on it myself. First thing on this saw I noticed three adjustment holes on the left side of the plastic cover. Husqvarna told me that the carb cannot be adjusted by the consumer and that I need a special tool that refuse to sell me! I then learned that it can be adjusted with a Bic pen with the ink inners removed. Armed with my pen and tearing this thing apart so I can get it freed up I finally got this thing to run and idle! This saw just ran rough and when I turned it off it was back to hard to pull! After working on freeing this thing up again, I got it to start and run. Well it stopped on its own and would not restart! After troubled shooting this thing again, I found a fouled Champion plug! I drove over to John Deere to buy a new plug. After I bought and paid for the plug I walked over to the saws. I found a Sthil saw on sale for almost the same price as the Husqvarna. So I bought it! The sales person that I have dealt with for years stated that that Husqvarna is not a Husqvarna, its a Sears Chainsaw!... Huh? I would if been better to buy one at Harbor Freight! This my experience with the Husqvarna 240 38.2 14 inch bar saw. The only thing I can say is if I would of known what I found out the hard way I would say to anyone that comes in contact with this saw is... RUN FORREST RUN!

I purchased the riding mower last year. Overall it is a decent piece of equipment. One area of concern are the rear tires. It seems every time I go to mow, my tires spin on flat surfaces. Sometimes it is wet, but happens just as much on dry grass. I sent a letter to customer service asking for a solution because it is ruining my grass from the constant spinning of the wheels. I was sent an email within a day that someone would reach out to me within a few days and was given a claim number. Three weeks later, after no response, I sent a second email with the assigned claim number that was given to me initially. Well, it has been another two weeks and nothing. Im not asking for anything but suggestions. The tires that came with the mower are horrible. I never had any issues with any other mowers that I have used. If I dont get some response I will take other avenues to voice my displeasure.

Bought a 42 riding mower to replace my 12 year old Craftsman 42. The Husqvarna seemed to be stonger steel body and deck. Deck is claimed to be armored and guaranteed 10 years. This spring I did my first cut and was hosing it off and under the deflector chute the deck was tearing. Honestly the same thing happened to the Craftsman but after 10 years of use. I had to pay to have it brought to a dealer to inspect for warranty coverage (photos from me would not suffice). Dealer said I cant put in for warranty defect your blade obviously hit and tore the deck. I asked him to weld it which he did. Question is: under normal use when we all hit the rock or stick or whatever should we expect the deck to tear. Why not armor the edge of the chute like you do the edge around the base of the deck?? How does a deck fail in 10 years to be covered by the warranty? Rust? I should also warn possible buyers that the center of gravity on Husqvarnas is much higher than my Craftsman---meaning it will tip over on a grade where the Craftsman kept steady. So be careful if you feel the grade bringing you to a tipping point.

In 2012, I purchased a self-propelled Husqvarna 22-inch lawn mower. What attracted me to the product was the 3 year unconditional 2 pull to start warranty. I thought that was unambiguous, but found I was wrong. I used the mower 5 times in 2012, then siphoned the gasoline out of it and ran the carburetor dry before storing it for the winter. In the spring, I put gasoline in the mower, started it up and it ran for only 15 minutes before stalling. It never started again. I called Husqvarna and was treated like the village idiot on the telephone. I was told I would have to pay to have the mower engine and carburetor rebuilt to prove it was under warranty. Seriously? So I took the mower back to Lowes, where I had purchased it, and arranged to have the unit evaluated by Husqvarna. I was forced to sign a contract stating I would pay $85 toward the repairs (forced, as in, you sign this and make this guarantee or we wont even look at the mower). Weeks pass with no word. Then, yesterday, I received a call from the Lowes evaluation team telling me the mower was not covered by warranty for the following reasons: 1) There was gasoline in the carburetor... seriously, they voided the warranty because the carburetor had gasoline in it after the mower would not start. 2) There was evidence the unit had been used because the oil had not been changed. In other words, my used lawn mower with only a year on its unconditional warranty was not covered by that warranty because it was used. Sorry, but that sounds like a condition to me. Now they want to charge me 2/3 of the cost of the original purchase to repair the carburetor, an integral part of the starting system, which is not allowing the mower to start but somehow this is not covered by the unconditional warranty. This company is a cheat. They lie, they overcharge for shoddy equipment which does not live up to even the most basic of use, and they refuse to cooperate with or support their customers. Oh, and the $85 pre-repair fee? They now call that an evaluation fee even though the repair contract doesnt say squat about evaluation fees and it is now up to me to fight my credit card company to cancel that fee. Talk about adding insult to injury. Conclusion: Do not, under any circumstances, buy a Husqvarna anything! If you do, assume the warranty is useless and that it will fail within a year.

Been a very reliable mower at a very reasonable price, the only parts we have had to replace are the blades and a drive belt. It is the 750 V twin engine and has lots of power to pull our trailer add-ons. Never been stuck through not enough power but have been stuck through only one rear wheel drive and wheels churned the grass to mud then lost traction. 2 wheel drive, gears for more control of speed would make this great mower even better. After 5 years of trouble free service developed a petrol tank leak and the tank is very hard to access.

I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck. Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

My Dad and I bought this YTH2454 mower new and used it for only a short time before problems started. The front axle is bogus. It starts to lean backwards and then the front wheels start facing out. We took it to a service center and Husqvarna told them it was an operator error? When this happens the wheels will fall off. I took it to a friend and we welded brackets to the frame so there is no way for it to lean back which fixed this problem. The hydrostatic transmission went out which I replaced. The deck hangers keep falling off. I am in the process now of engineering a new deck hanging system instead of the brackets that slip into a hole. This hole keeps wearing out which in turn lets the bracket fall out and the deck drop on the ground. I have had the holes welded up and drilled out several times. The electric clutch for the blades went out. I have had to replace the steering column. My small engine repair man says the reason Husqvarna will not fix these problems, is that they are in the parts selling business. He said every one of these machines that comes into his shop has the same problems!!! I will never own another Husqvarna product and would advise everyone else to do the same!!!

Husqvarna ZTR mower only 2 weeks old has lost tension on the deck idler pulley. I called to get some information on how to fix this and they could only send me to service shops many miles away. They had no desire or ability to let me have the technical service information to fix this trivial problem; rather, they want to direct me to expensive service and much cost for transport. I bought this to replace an old Craftsman riding mower that had served me well. This model has essentially the same body as the Craftsman so I was able to look at the old Craftsman to see why the Husqvarna was so low to the ground. The Husqvarna body is directly bolted to the rear axle while the Craftsman has a bracket that lifts the body about an inch above the rear axle. Because of this, the mower deck on the Husqvarna cant be properly adjusted. Also, when I use it to pull a broadcast spreader, the spreader is tipped forward too much and the mover deck is dragged through the grass the whole time. Ive since found many reports of this problem. Too bad I hadnt seen these reports before I bought it earlier this year.

On June 10, 2008, I purchased a Craftsman/Husqvarna 19.5 HP/42 cut lawn tractor from Sears. Although I have owned it for eight years now, I have literally been unable to use it even once without the mower deck belt breaking. On average, it has cost me ~$40 for parts and labor to have the belt replaced then only to have it break again at the very next attempt to mow with it. The cost each time, when the repair shop charges for pickup and return delivery is more like $60. I have now concluded that the mower deck/pulley/belt design on this mower is very poor and certainly unreliable when compared to the Murray lawn tractors which I had owned and used over the past 25 years or so. In conclusion, this Sears/Husqvarna lawn tractor is worse than useless.

Bought mower from Sears, it was made by Husqvarna. The mower might have 30-40 hours of use. Towards end of last year wasnt working just right, mower went to repair shop in April, found clutch plate broken, mower has 2 in it, one was fine. I should have mentioned earlier this is a MODEL # 944.601380. Part listed key #59 part #441097. Guess what - no longer available. To get this part now I have to purchase the whole clutch assembly $369.00 US compared to $20.00 for clutch plate. I am not a happy camper and I will never buy a Husqvarna product again and will tell all about my experience. Their claim to fame is #1 in outdoor power tools but do they work and worth your money? We move about 4 acres with it, during the summer each weekend during the winter about once every 4 weeks. Living in Texas the grass grows all year long. I am sorry for all the troubles folks have had with Husqvarna power equipment that have expressed their disappointment here. However, I feel that I must tell all of you that I own several units of Husqvarna power equipment (chainsaws and mowers) that have operated flawlessly for many years. I am not the only one who is happy with their Husky either. My equipment has been properly maintained by authorized service centers and myself as per the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. I use the recommended additives, fuels, oils, grease and filters for maintenance. They were bought from authorized dealer/repair centers that properly assembled the equipment from the beginning, not Lowes employees that I doubt have any training or very little at best on proper assembly (not the employees fault). A cheaper price is not always a better buy my friends! As for the axle and engine troubles with riders, everyone who makes anything makes a mistake now and then. Its not a personal attack against you, Husqvarna relies on others to build quality components to mate to their equipment. As a result, Husqvarna suffers from disappointment also. I know your problems are your main concern and they do matter, but read the reviews from the Husqvarna website for the product you are wanting to buy or already own. You will see a pattern of where things were purchased, how they were maintained and operated and the problems that soon followed. There are instances where the product just failed to meet standard, Husqvarna is not perfect. I have just never encountered one of those instances where they failed me.

I found myself in need of a lawn tractor on very short notice. Due to a shortage at the time I didnt have a whole lot of options. Due to availability I purchased a Husqvarna TS254XG. I was unhappy with it from the start. First off it rattles like an old tin can. No doubt some loose part that I will be able to fix, but not a good impression when I just spent north of $3000 on it. It does not mow evenly even though the deck is even. Sometimes when I engage the blades it vibrates so bad that I am afraid it will stop running all together. I have owned many garden tractors over the years and never was as disappointed in one as I am the Husqvarna. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I would recommend you purchase a different brand.

I purchased my push mower about 2 years ago and I have had problems from the first week. First the belt that drives the wheels keep falling off. After about 20 times of this, I played with the spacers in order to get it to stay on for more than a month. Then one of the handles that you use to start the drive broke. I cannot get just the plastic handle. I have to spend $70 to get the whole assembly plus the cable. I have yet to replace it.This last breakage was the final straw. The drive cable broke due to a bad design. The cable rubs against a spring and there is no way around it. There should have been some shielding to protect the cable. The cable cost $40, but it will break again in 2 years due to the design. I had my previous mowers for about 8-10 years on average. I have never had such problems in my life. I regret the day I purchased this mower. If someone gave me $100 for it, I would sell it in a heart beat. Due to the design, I will have constant issues with this mower.

My problem started when I noticed the brackets that are welded to the deck were starting to tear off. I guess the weight of the deck is quite heavy for these under-engineered brackets. My old 42 craftsman lasted 5 seasons before I sold it for $500 to get this one. The brackets on that one lasted almost to end, I did weld those. We modified the Husqvarna bracket with additional supports to help with the weight. I did not call dealer after reading about all the negative feedback about the company, I just took care of it myself.

After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 year
After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 years and unable to get parts, I finally decided it was time to break down and get a new chainsaw. I was at Lowes and decided to buy the Husqvarna Model 440 as it seemed to be the best fit for my needs. Between being extremely busy and injuring my elbow, I did not get to using the chainsaw for several weeks. When I went to use the chainsaw, it would not start. I tried several times and the chainsaw would not fire up. A check of basic systems indicated it was getting gas (the plug was wet) but saw only minimal spark. I called Husqvarna expecting customer service but I was told that I would have to take it to the dealer for warranty repair. They gave me the name of a dealer with hours that are difficult for my work schedule. When I took time off from work to get to the dealer, he told me that he does not do warranty work on chainsaws purchased from Lowes. He directed me to another dealer not listed on Husqvarnas locator who does this work. They were also closed. So I still have a chainsaw that does not work, have had to take time off from work to get to the recommended dealer who does not perform this work, and spent money on gas driving around for a defective product. My expectations were: 1) Husqvarna telling me to take it back to Lowes where they would give me a new one and send the defective one back to Husqvarna; or 2) Send me return postage labels so I could send the saw back to Husqvarna (similar to Dell Computers policy). Instead I have the burden of repairing a defective product placed on the customer instead of the supplier of the defective product. Of all the items I have purchased in my life, I do not believe I have ever had such a poor buying experience. I will never buy another Husqvarna product and will warn my friends against purchasing Husqvarna products if this is their definition of customer service.

We bought this lawnmower for personal use on our 3.75 acres. The first year, we had no issues. Year two, the blades came flying off while in use and someone could have been killed. The plastic pieces that hold the blades on are useless. We had to spend $300 on replacement parts and blades. Husqvarna would not respond to any of our inquires. Year three is turning out to be again this year on first use, flying blades. We again shelled out $300 on replacement parts. As soon as the parts came and were installed we made two passes in the yard and the water pump and vacuum hose went! Spent $200 to replace those and now the damn thing won’t go 100ft without shutting off and not restarting. I’ve had it! Husqvarna will not respond to any emails, calls, FB messages or posts. This mower has less than 200 hrs on it and it sits useless in my yard. Everyone I talk to says to scrap it as it not worth fixing.

I bought a new 130BT backpack blower in June of 2011, used it across the summer and into the fall. In late fall, I noticed that it was not developing power as it should. I set it up for the winter and took it to Lowes in the spring of this year to have it sent off and repaired. After about a month, I received a call from the authorized service center telling me that the repairs were not covered under warranty. Caller said that there was excessive moisture in gas, therefore, diluting the oil in the mixture, and scouring the cylinder walls and trashing the carb. I used the Husky oil purchased at Lowes and followed instructions on type of gas and mixing. I mean, seriously, I have only been mixing 2-cycle oil for 25 years, and have never had a problem in the past. I have been told that gasoline with ethanol will cause a problem such as this, as the ethanol will evaporate leaving excessive moisture in the gasoline. If this is the case, why does Husky not publish this in their 2-cycle manuals so consumers will buy ethanol free? I told the caller to take the blower out back and toss it as far as they could, and I would go buy an Echo blower to replace it. I went by Lowes today to pick up the thing, as they would not even dispose of it as I asked.

My experience worse a disaster from day one: The first year/year and a half
My experience worse a disaster from day one: The first year/year and a half entered the shop 6 or 7 times for different reasons. One time the people at the shop were surprised to find out that the clutch was gone, they said it was very rare. I had a John Deere 15 yrs old, and I never knew there was a clutch in these machines. Everything that could break got broken. I am taking it tomorrow again because the belt broke for the second time. Changing the oil is the messiest job you can do, and the deck does not raise high enough, so it cuts so short that the Florida sun burns the grass immediately. On top of that I spent $300.00 in attachments (what the hell was I thinking??!!) that I used only a few times because the chute was getting clogged. It is hard to believe that there was any engineer involved in this product. My John Deere started giving me problems at the end and I sold it. I dont want to sell this one because I FEEL I AM DEFRAUDING PEOPLE. This machine may be great in Canada, or to ride with the grand kids at 6 mph, but certainly useless to mow the grass... unless you dont care about destroying your lawn. I WISH I HAD READ REVIEWS BEFORE I SPENT 2,000.00 IN THIS PIECE OF METAL. By the way: The customer service people are very nice because they are so used to complaints but do not solve absolutely anything. 40 on the phone to be transferred yesterday to the escalation department, they apologized saying that the escalation department was very busy. Well... I believe that!

I bought a Husqvarna 2654, three years ago. While cutting the grass, the tractor stopped moving. I discovered a broken rear axle. I contacted Lowes, only to be told that the axle could not be replaced. I would need to replace the whole transaxle. I made several calls to Husqvarna asking questions. They also told me, that these axles could not be replaced. They told me that I needed a $1,200.00 transaxle. After three days of phone calls, I discovered that the axle, as well as transaxles, were made by a company called Tuff Torque. When I called them, (a number which Husqvarna refused to give me), they explained to me that each and every transaxle they sell can be worked on, and the axle I needed could be replaced. The cost of the axle, seal needed, and shipping was only $45.00, and the female I spoke with on the phone, had the knowledge to explain everything I needed to know to fix the problem. She explained that if it has bolts, it is not a sealed unit, as reported by Husqvarna, and could be taken apart. The part arrived in two days, and it took about two hours to fix. When I called the Husqvarnas home office, and spoke to a person identified as a vice president, I explained what I had been told by the company, and he agreed. Then, I explained what I had been told by Tuff Torque. He seemed surprised. I then told him that I had made the repairs myself, (I am no mechanic, but this was a simple job). He started stammering and stuttering. A couple of weeks later, I received a gift certificate in the mail from Husqvarna, which I promptly threw away. I will never buy another thing from Husqvarna, nor Lowes. In my opinion, they are both nothing but con artists, ripping the Americans off. If you, or anyone you know has a problem with these mowers, dont believe Husqvarna, nor Lowes, and dont believe the authorized dealers and service centers either, as they are trained by Husqvarna, and the mechanics are told and trained that these axles con not be fixed, so they are not allowed to even attempt it. After logging in more that 50 more run hours this past summer, I am pleased to report that the axle that could not be replaced, according to Husqvarna, is still working just fine. My hat is off to a company called Tuff Torque, for good old honesty, and for the help.

Bought a Husqvarna commercial mower pz6029 zero turn mower for lawn cutting. The mower started making noise at eight hours of use under the deck. It was the spindles. The place I bought it from got it fixed for me. At 50 hours of use, the same problem again. At 100 hours, the same problem. Lets get it fixed, it ran fine for another 50 and the same noise. Im still waiting on the answer for the repair of the mower and the Husqvarna rep told me to get air plugs well. For a 11,000 machine, this is crazy. I have older machines that make no noise and work perfect with 1200 hours. This machine is a piece of junk.

I called Husqvarna when I initially bought my mower to say I thought there must have been a packaging issue because the pull pins used to adjust height were broken off of the 2 models in the store. Apparently, pull pins are just a bad design. Mower has probably been used about 30 times, bought in 2015 for Kansas use, and have not had any problems. In fact, it has been great for all the reasons I did buy it! However, back to the pins. A friend mowed for me last week, and apparently put more muscle into pulling the pin for adjustment (which they are a little sticky sometimes) and it broke off in his hand. Just sayin... Bad design on those pull pins. Buyer beware, and Husqvarna fix that crap!

I was informed by Husqvarna district rep. (via dealer) 5-21013, that reason for delayed shipment on my (ordered) GT54LS tractor is that the engine component for the unit is unavailable. What? Did Husqvarna grind such a deal with Briggs and Stratton on these motors? That B&S cant (or wont) honor its commitment or were they closeouts to begin with? I have never, in 60 years of life, heard of anything like this! Is Husqy going to discontinue the model, update it with substitution engine and reintroduce in the fall (2014 MY)? And are they going to (be able to) support those already out-there? More convinced than ever that Ive made an error in judgment.

My John Deere GT 275 finally gave out after 15 years of reliable service. I was intending to buy the current equivalent until I saw the price. Decided to try Husqvarna GT52XLS Riding Mower - never had a Husqvarna product up until this point. Spent $3200 on the machine. First few mows it was great! Within the first 6 weeks I had it back to the shop - trouble starting/running. Within the first 6 months I had it back in the shop two more times for broken parts (I only mow my lawn grass with this machine - I have JD tractor/brush-hog for pastures). 3.5 years later, I have spent over $1500 in repairs (not including regular maintenance) and am taking it into the shop this morning for them to try to figure out why it hardly moves forward or backwards. If I had known than what I know now I would have never bought Husqvarna - and never will again. The dealer told me on my last visit the deck on their machines is much better than the JD - WHAT GOOD IS THAT WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND THE DECK IS JUNK??? Their products are very poor quality and I will not only never buy Husqvarna again, but will make sure anyone I talk to about tools and machines knows what a terrible experience I have had with Husqvarna. BEWARE!

I took it to their local dealer and after work he charged me saying its not under warranty and I need to call Honda as engine is from Honda. This is a shocking news. I need to call two different companies for warranty. Thankfully they dont make cars, otherwise they will ask me to call over 100 vendors who supply parts to car companies. This is totally not acceptable and I feel its cheating as they should clearly advertise about two different warranties. I think this company as well as their products are substandard.

I purchased a PZ60, top of the line zero turn. Costing only $10,500.00 for a lawn mower, and two backpack blowers. Two days of using the first backpack blower, it started acting up, no power. Took it back for service, needs a carb. Week later, its ready to go. Ten minutes of use, no power. Needs a gas cap. The top of the line mower blows a belt at 75 hours and has blown three in six months. Belts are $110.00 a piece but they are covered under warranty for now. Second blower now needs a gas cap because its leaking all over. Again, covered by warranty. First blower has been setting in the garage and hasnt been used. But the reason Im writing this is because the second blower has just completely come apart and the service guy said to throw it in the trash. Husqvarna replaced it under warranty with a new one. Bought a dealership model Husqvarna GTH26V52LS two years ago. Had several problems with it the first season. Now at the beginning of season 2 1/2 with 7 months of promised warranty left, they tell me my transaxle Hydro-Gear is leaking and it is a sealed unit and a new one is $1287.65. This is a mower that spends its down time in a heated air conditioned shop. It has only 132 hours on it. No I did not run over a truck or stump or something, it just puked all the oil out while setting over the winter. As usual, my local no service dealer could not help and Husqvarnas no service personnel said sorry and the manufacturer said its out of warranty. Seems that everything on the mower from the air in the tires to the paint job has a 3-year warranty but of course the hydro-gear has a two-year warranty. Husqvarna LC221RH; purchased 7 weeks ago, less than 5 hours use, only used where the rider cant get. The self propel feature stopped working. The only option the company gave me was to drive 120 miles, round trip, to the nearest service center. If they make me leave it and return for pick up another day, that will be 240 miles driving. Issue #2 The front cover gets packed with grass and they couldnt tell me how to get it out. It appears the only way to get it out is to remove four bolts, every time. Its a design flaw for a rear wheel drive mower. They use the same body for an all wheel drive mower and they dont close off the holes in the front for the rear wheel drive mowers. Issue #3 They make trying to do the paperwork for a rebate like getting a root canal. They obviously do not want to honor their rebates, if at all possible. Bought the YTH18542 riding mower at Lowes 3 years ago. Nice machine, when it works. Poor traction if the grass is damp going uphill. Probably needs slightly larger, wider rear tires or more weight over them. The real disappointment has been the mechanical problems. After one mowing season the engine wouldnt start. Problem turned out to be the carb solenoid failure, which stopped fuel from going through the carb. Early in the 3rd mowing season, one of the pulleys for the drive (not the blades) had its bearings go bad. Bought a new pulley but the carriage bolt which secures it to the underside of the frame is loose so the nut cant be tightened enough. I would not recommend this machine if you value reliability.

I purchased a McCulloch 42 inch riding mower that is made by Husqvarna. It has the same Intek Briggs & Stratton engine, and the salesman told me that it was essentially the same as the Husqvarna. Well, if it is, they are both undependable, and poorly made. The engine stalls every time that the blade is engaged. The battery died on the day that I bought it. It backfires, and is hard to start. I returned it for a refund on the first day because of all of the problems. After reading the reviews I am in at a loss as to what riding mower to buy that will be reliable and dependable. Any recommendations???

Bought a Husqvarna 42 yard tractor June 2016. Has had transmission problems from day one. Now, its downright dangerous. Transmission will not disengage when you let off the gas. Have to hit the brake to stop it. This happens sporadically so you have zero warning to get the mower stopped. Finally scheduled a repair through the purchase place and they are charging me 200 bucks to pick it up. Worst lawn mower ever. Never again. I will never trust it again so Ill have to buy a new DIFFERENT brand and park this useless hunk of junk as a back up mower.

Bought new May 2020. First off I picked up mower only to hear constant squeaking noises while using it. Turns out place I got it never greased anything! Front wheels had no grease and even better... they have no bearings at ALL! Sleeve in wheel center just rides on axle! What a joke! Next all steering also makes constant noise! Same deal...metal to metal... no bushings! Gas gauge is a joke... piece of cloudy plastic 1/2 by 3/4 on front of tank... cant see it... to cloudy. Next is shift lever... on left side... same side you get off and on... catches your pants EVERY time you get on or off!!! I finally band sawed 3+ inches off off it, now just catches your pants every 3rd time. Cuts leaving missed grass in 2 narrow areas making you double cut everything! Seat has cracks/tears and only 61 hours use! Never buy any products from these people!!!!

I purchased a 440 Husqvarna chainsaw less than a year ago. Ever since I took it out of the box, it has been hard to start. I took to an authorized Husqvarna repair shop to see why it was so hard to start and was told that, after removing the muffler, they could see that the piston was showing signs of being discolored from overheating. I was told that the warranty was voided because I was not using Husqvarna brand 2-cycle oil. I was using ACE Hardwarde 2-cycle oil and that the same mixture was working in all of my other 2-cycle engines. I asked if there was another reason the engine could overheat and was told that a too lean fuel adjustment could be the cause but that they did not have the time to do further investigation and most likely Husqvarna would refuse any warranty work anyway. On Husqvarnas suggestion, I took it to another authorized repair shop who confirmed that the carburetor was set out-of-limits and was in the full lean position. Husqvarna still refused any responsibility for the malfunction. I was told that there was no one in Husqvarna that can override a decision made by their warranty department. My advise is not to count on any warranty help from Husqvarna.

May 28th, 2016 I purchased the 54 Husqvarna riding mower from our local Lowes Home Store. We were told that it was top of the line for quality and customer service. As we were in the process of buying it we asked several times about warranty and owners manuals, the cashier ignored us. They finally went online and printed a copy, but gave us no warranty card or any of the tools for adjusted mower components or washing the deck. As we exited the store and walked to where they were loading the mower I watched them ram the grass guard against the side of the trailer and heard a crack. The guys loading it told me, No worries. Come back on Monday and we will give you a new one. When I got it home to unload it, I noticed that it did not look new. There were signs that it had been used before. So on the initial test run I pulled the knob upward to engage the mower deck and the engine almost choked out and the mower deck shook violently and then the entire body of the mower continued to vibrate as I started to mow. During this run I notice that the digital hour indicator read 7 hours, but the one that I thought I was buying only read 1.2 hours of use. About 20 minutes into my mowing the transmission disengaged and the mower stopped dead in its track. This happened again about 10 minutes later. This forced me to shut down the mower, get off and reengage the transmission pin each time it happened. I finally shut the mower down so I could look the mower over better. I notice scratches on this mower that was not on the one I had purchased. I also looked underneath the mowers blade and deck and up toward the deck drive-belt pulley and noticed that the base of the center shaft appeared slightly bent and the mower deck did not appear to be attached properly. So what I bought was a new mower, but loaded a refurbished one in its place. I loaded the mower back up and delivered directly back to Lowes. I spent three hours trying to get my new mower and Lowes staff gave me the biggest run-a-round ever. They tried to tell me that they could send it back to the dealer and have the mower repair, but I would be responsible for the cost of repairs. I flat refused to take anything other than a new one. Then a store rep took me out to show me one identical to mine, but he said was new. I was looking it over and there were signs everywhere indicating it was used. The seat was torn, there was dirt and grass under the mower deck and again, documentation package was missing. I went back to Customer Service and demanded a refund on the spot and after a few minutes the store manager came over and completed the transaction and my $2500 plus dollars was refunded.I blame Husqvarna 30% for the poor quality of their equipment, but Lowes gets the most blame for their poor customer service and deceptive business practices. I have no intentions of ever buying from Lowes again.

I have owned a Husqvarna Riding Mower LGT 2654 for 3 years and have had a number of problems with this product. First, I had problems with the Lowes in Gonzales, LA giving away my owners manual. Long story short, they had 2 mowers, one was outside and one inside. The manual outside was soggy wet. Both mowers sold on the same day but I had to get a trailer to get mine home. When I picked mine up later in the day, there was no manual. My real problem is with the mower. In the first year, I had to replace the deck belt once, excessive backfiring, and the engine stopped running. I discovered the push rods for the intake and exhaust valves came loose. Forget using the warranty - it took 3 months to get them to even look at it. I made the repairs myself. In the 2nd year, you better own a welding machine, deck wheel brackets x3 , replaced deck belts x2, deck adjustment rod fell off and went under the mower. The deck bent a blade and destroyed the rod. I replaced blades and rod. Now we are early in year 3 and I have cut about 8 times. I had to replace the spindle for the left deck pulley 2 weeks ago and yesterday I replaced the deck belt for the 3rd time this season (belt # 6). It still backfires but not as bad as before I made repairs to the push rods. As for the headlights, they are just for looks. What a joke. This mower has never had the power that I expected and it has never had an even cut. My old Murray had more power and cuts better. I just cant get parts anymore. I will never purchase another Husqvarna. If you choose to purchase one, you better be a mechanic, welder, and electrician. As for the couple of people who claim to have had no problems because they take such good care of their mower, well, mine got washed, oil changed, greased, and checked as required by the owners manual (once I got one). So consider yourself lucky.

Bought a 4824f zero turn last yr. Ran great. Ended up with about 42 hrs. on it. It started fine this yr., but since then had 5 issues. First was supposedly because of the gas and ethanol, but it wouldnt fire. I put gas on spark plugs and no fire. The mechanic claimed because of water and tore the carburetor apart twice. He DID get started so ok. That was $205, I paid. Then I mowed a lawn and had to clean the deck. When I got back on it, no start again. Solenoid this time. So the dealer replaced it no cost. Yaaaa. Then I mowed two lawns and the next time I jump on it, no start. Take it back to the dealer because electrically, something is wrong. The mechanic replaced the starter after 1 1/2 wks. And it starts. Then he puts the starter on his bench and guess what, the bendix no longer was stuck. It worked fine. What is going on!? Finally today I mowed my lawn, and it stopped in midstream. I thought I ran out of gas, but I checked and had gas. Jumped back on it and nothing. No noise whatsoever. I checked voltage and had 12.74 V to the started. No what. I figure what of the sensors. A buddy of mine said maybe a fuse to the ignition. Why, why, why? 52 hrs. and so bs ready to trade, sell, and go somewhere else.

I could have died that day. Called them about it and they say I need to call an authorized dealer to have it looked at to see if it can be fixed at my cost. They also say there is no recall and that there is no problem of their fault because the warranty has run out.

DONT BUY THIS MOWER!!!! Poor design. Put blades to close to roof of the deck and grass sticks and builds. While it compresses it hardens... It does not throw the grass out from under the deck! We bought one last summer and the grass sticks to the underside ceiling of the mowing deck, causing serious damage to the bearings and belt. Now I have to jack it up. Get underneath, take a ridged 3 putty knife after every other use and chisel out hardened (Concrete like) grass clippings. It is not an easy chore for anybody to do. You should not have to do this every 2 weeks after spending 3 grand on a mower.

Husqvarna Zero Turn Mower 4 years old and garbage. I am currently working on this thing and have since the first day I bought it. Just like some of the vehicles on the road today, there shouldve been a recall on this thing. Hydraulics are terrible due to weight distribution, any small grade going downhill you better get ready to bail, it cannot hold its own weight. Broke the casting on the handle second time using it. Tension pull keeps bending and had to add reinforcements. As for the motor, Briggs and Stratton do not make em like they use to. Kills all the mosquitoes for sure. Bent the push rods. Three other people that I know went and bought the same mower. All four of these machines broke the muffler off. Had to replace the stator. Just all and all I shouldve bought a Grasshopper. Dont waste your money.

After looking at reviews (greatest thing since sliced bread) I decided to purchase one of these (Husqvarna ST227P Snowblower), what a mistake. I have used the machine approx. 10x and have had it back to the dealership 7x. To date they have had to replace the carburetor -- machine would not keep running, replace the drive - would not go forward or backwards, belts broke second time I used it, gas lines split and leaked gas after the first season, plastic for the discharge chute controls snapped off and remember this is after only 10 uses. The dealership has had the machine more than I have. I attempted to exchange it for another machine and or have my money refunded but Husqvarna said no but they would extend the warranty for an additional 6 months and keep having it fixed until the warranty run out. In the meantime I have had to borrow a friends machine, pay to have our driveway plowed and shovel. The last time I took the machine in they had to replace the drive which took 2 months for the parts to arrive. Twice when I went to pick the machine up after being called because it was repaired I have had to leave it due to the machine breaking down when they were trying to load it on to my truck. I contacted Husqvarna who in turn contacted the dealership I purchased the machine from and were told that the gas lines leaked was due to me leaving old gas in it over the winter. Unbelievable. All of my equipment is winterized and some are 15 plus years old and have never had the gas line changed, what a joke!! It appears that Husqvarnas quality has gone and I will not be purchasing any more of their products. I currently own 2 of their chainsaws, both over ten years old and never an issue but speaking to friends who have purchase new ones they have had nothing but issues. At this point I am rooting for the greenhouse effect and we never get snow again!!! What a waste of $1698.00.

Husqvarna 455 Rancher Chainsaw - The chainsaw is well built and reliable until it begins to leak bar oil. Husqvarna knows that this problem is very widely reported by most model 455 owners. The part fails after about 40 to 60 hours of use. The fix is replacing the oil feed hose with a new style (correctly manufactured) hose (part 158551400(1)). The part costs $2.95. The labor costs $53.00. The repair is covered by the 2-year warranty or the pay extra extended warranty. Husqvarna notified its dealers about this manufacturing defect, shhhh, but did not notify registered chainsaw owners. Husqvarna will not do the right thing and issue a general and advertised recall. Memo to Husqvarna--do you see all (hundreds) of 1-star ratings on this website? It is a prescription for laying off many of your workers. Your quality and customer service ratings have plummeted lower than even Black and Decker. Do the right thing, issue a recall and free repair when it is Husqvarnas fault.

I purchased this mower just 1 year ago and its been in the shop three times already. The first time the adjusting lever would only go in three position and it would not cut right. The second time it was same thing. The repair shop said some of these mowers did that. Third time I had to take it to another shop about thirty miles away and they were a Husqvarna dealer and they kept it three weeks because they had so many Husqvarna mowers to work on. I brought it home and the same thing it would not cut right. I had to pay 75$ out of my own pocket. The warranty people said they couldnt do anything for me to take it back to Lowes and they had to send it off again, said it might be over a week and if its over 300$ I would have to pay it. I really thought this was a good company, but I just wasted 2000$. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

Within a year of purchase, Husqvarna XP545 chainsaw piston froze. Dealer took first peak at it, said it was not enough oil in the fuel mixture and Husqvarna would not cover it under warranty. Odd, since the gas was brand new and I used the oil that I purchased from the dealer AND I have used this fuel mixture on a Stihl chainsaw with no issues. The dealer was good enough to contact Husqvarna customer support while I was in the store. I expected that I could speak to the representative, but I guess I was not a privileged customer and was denied to speak to them directly. The dealer was asked to send pictures. Husqvarna reviewed the pictures and said it was TOO much oil in the mixture. Seems odd that two independent qualified parties came up with completely different root cause of the issue. In any case, my claim with Husqvarna was denied and their warranty will not cover a defect on their end. They are using the excuse to say the gas was bad. Having power equipment for over 25 years, this statement is a joke as my 20 year old Craftsman Weedwacker that I leave old and stale gas in over the winter actually still starts and works fine. Husqvarna really needs to take accountability for their lack in quality and professionalism. A lot of money for a piece of crap engineering.
