Do not buy a Husqvarna tractor. My LGT2554 tractors axle broke and the wheel fell off. I had this repaired 1.5 yrs ago, and the same thing has happened again. This tractor is only used for my own personal 1 acre lawn and it should not be breaking down every season! This is faulty manufacturing and design. I see there are many others who had the same experience. My tractor is 4 years old and out of warranty, so there is nothing Husqvarna will do. The worst part is they dont even have the parts to fix it. On backorder with no expected date, what does that mean? One day, a month, never? Not having your tractor, while you have grass growing and leaves falling is extremely inconvenient. Do not buy Husqvarna - BAD Product and unreliable inconvenient service. I had a John Deere for 20 years with very minimal issues and very good service. I should have gone back to them. Dont buy Husqvarna!!!!

I purchased the mower from Lowes Home Center Store at 940 Interstate Parkway, Akron, Ohio 44312 in July of 2009.My complaint is that it doesnt cut the lawn even and its hard to start. I was cutting the lawn recently and the cable that engages the blade broke, and I had to have the local mower company come and pick it up, take it and have everything fixed on it. The mower is only 2 years old. It cost me a total of $366 to have it repaired. Im a 71 year old female on a fixed income and I was told that Husqvarna was a good tractor to buy. But now, I would not recommend it to anyone. I think I should get my money back, plus the repairs. For a 2 season lawn mower, thats bad. I forgot, I already had a flat tire on the back too. I would like to have feedback on this please. Thank you.

I bought my Husqvarna gas push lawn mower at Sears. It had a 3 YR warranty compared to Sears 2 YR warranty on their Craftsman brand mowers. I had a gas (ethanol) problem within 3-4 months... Sears fixed it. I had another same gas problem 1 year later. Husqvarna sent me to one of their authorized service repair centers. They fixed it with Husqvarnas OK. I now have a 3rd same gas problem. Husqvarna sent me to another service dealer. They will NOT fix it since Husqvarna does NOT cover the Kohler engine. I called Husqvarna to ask about this and they said the 3 YR warranty is only for the mower (housing only??) and not the engine. They told me they didnt know why they fixed that same problem twice before even though it is still under the 3 YR warranty. Beware and do NOT buy Husqvarna!!!

If you only mow level ground it works well. However, we have minimal slopes in the yard and the mower doesnt have the power to go up the SLIGHT incline. I am not talking a hill here, either. I have to disengage the blades, raise the mower deck to go up incline. I am very disappointed that there isnt enough power to pull the 52 inch deck unless completely level ground. Otherwise, it did a nice job mowing.

I was unhappy with it from the start. First off it rattles like an old tin can. No doubt some loose part that I will be able to fix, but not a good impression when I just spent north of $3000 on it. It does not mow evenly even though the deck is even. Sometimes when I engage the blades it vibrates so bad that I am afraid it will stop running all together. I have owned many garden tractors over the years and never was as disappointed in one as I am the Husqvarna. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I would recommend you purchase a different brand.

My wife spent over 2 hours on the phone waiting on customer service finally talking to a rep who took forever to tell her to take it back to Lowe’s. She was directed to call the local store and arrange for them to come out and fix the problem. However, when she called the local customer service she was told they wouldnt send anyone out but they would pick it up for a fee. She asked if we could bring it instead. They said yes, but before closing. Therefore, we borrowed a truck to take it back to the Knoxville Lowe’s, 210 N. Peters Rd. 37923. It was over 25 miles one way. When we got there and unloaded it they took it into the store. My wife went in to get papers saying we delivered it as instructed. She was then told we would have to take it to another place. She told them we were instructed to bring it there and was not interested and now moving it to another location. She was then told she would have to sign a paper stating we would be responsible to pay them up to $300.00 for resolving the problem. Less than 3 months old with a 1 year warranty and now Lowe’s is trying to Stick us with a bill for what they told us to do with no mention on the phone by either reps about any fees. Was this a bait and switch like scam? I believe it was! My wife told the original rep we wanted our money back and he told her to take have it picked up. The second rep looked the first rep’s information and then demanded my wife sign the paper described above. My wife came out to the truck and informed me of the changes they demanded, either take to Anderson Site or sign the note saying we would pay them. I told her to get in truck and we left. We were supposed to get our money back and then switched to paying for them to check it out. RIDICULOUS!!! All we want is our money refunded or another brand new mower like the original one, but not a LEMON! Invoice ** for $1375.57. Transaction #** on 6/5/17.

I called the customer service number in the Husqvarna manual and I was placed on hold for approximately 30 minutes. The customer service representative informed me that this problem should be under warranty and she gave me the information of an authorized repair shop that honors Husqvarna warranties. I took the mower to the authorized repair shop and the repairman told me that the carburetor needs cleaning and this is not under warranty. The air filter still looks new and my yard is about 1/3 of an acre and I never let my grass get very high so the mower has not had an extraordinary strain on the engine. The repairman told me that it will cost approximately $60 to clean the carburetor. I am very displeased with this mower and I will never buy another Husqvarna product; I had a Yard Machine brand mower before this one that lasted 11 years.

In September of that year I had Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh, Wisconsin come and pick it up to check it over. That is when the problem started. When they brought it back there was no high speed. Fasco Appliance in Oshkosh said there was nothing wrong with it and that was it was supposed to run that slow. I had them pick it up again because I knew that it was wrong. They replaced the power steering cable and a belt. When I got it back the second time the speed was still slow and now when you released the auger lever it still kept on running.I then called Krueger Hardware in Neenah who picked it up from Neenah, who charged me a quarter of the pick up charge that Fasco did and Fasco is in Oshkosh. Krueger found that Fasco had put the auger belt on wrong and that it burnt the belt cover. Now this year on the first snow fall the high speed was gone again so I had Kruegers come and pick it up. They found that three of the seven bolts on the crank cover were loose and that caused a leak which dripped on the belts. They had to replace both of the belts. Fasco cause this too.Now on January 26, 2017 I find that the power steering on the left side is bad again. It almost takes two hands to activate it. So this is going to cost me more money. I am seventy years old and cant afford all these bills. What gets me mad is that I had a Sears Craftsman blower for ten years and all I put in it was gas, oil and the skid plates once. If I keep this blower that long I would have paid for it in repairs ten over. This blower new cost me $2197.77. The serial number is 081811m000136. Is there something wrong with this blower?

A simple choke would make it easier to start and the frame is rusting out horribly. After 1&1/2 yrs the chainsaw, compared to my old Homelite, is impossible to keep running. When I manage to get it running. Poorly designed chain tensioner. Impossible to get and keep the tensioner in a workable position. And it came with the manifold cover finger-tightened down and promptly fell off. Last time I buy anything with this brand name on it.

Called Lowes, they had a dealer come out and re-weld the frame (needless to say, I didnt have my tractor for the rest of the winter). The following summer I was mowing my yard for the first time that summer and again, broke the frame where they welded it. Called Husqvarna and complained. They had another guy come up from Milroy, In. to get it and fix it. I got to looking at the frame. It is a one piece stamped into the whole frame with a long throw off then bolted down. Got to looking at John Deere and Cubcadets and they both had a L piece angle iron running from the frame to the transaxle. I told the guy in Milroy about it and he got to checking it out. So that is how he fixed my Husqvarna. He was telling me that that tractor had too much torque for that frame. I have been pushing a lot of snow for 3 years now on that setup without a single breakage. Told Husqvarna about how to fix it, and they just simply said they would look into it.

I raised the deck and again engaged the blades and it didnt shake as bad but the blade on the right side would not turn. Upon inspecting it closer I noticed that the pulleys are PLASTIC?!? And the bolt and shaft that hold the pulley to the blade housing is METAL? During normal use any mower deck gets a rough ride and it is just a matter of time before metal chews up plastic in such a rough place. I took it in for service and was without a mower for the better part of the summer. Last year was ok. Now this year I was cutting my grass and the same exact thing has happened with the same exact pulley on the right side. I see some people have said the belt comes off and Im guessing the bind and pressure puts extra force on that right side and either the belt comes loose or that metal shaft wears out the plastic on that side. $2600 from Lowes for this piece of crap and 2 out of 3 summers it will be spent inoperable. Lowes passes the buck to Husqvarna and Husqvarna wants me to take it to a service center and fix it. I dont want it fixed, I want a different mower. This is the last full summer of my warranty coverage and I already know this pulley WILL fail again. It already has done the same exact thing twice, why do I want the same LEMON back to break down again next summer to the tune of a $200 repair? There is a definite design flaw on this mower, a manufacturer defect, a LEMON is what it is. But you can forget a recall being issued. There is too much money spent to recall it. They would rather settle their issues one at the time even if it comes to a lawsuit which mine may come to because $2600 for a mower that wont mow 2 out of 3 summers is absolutely unacceptable!

Ive bought a 1998 350 and a 2008 445 chainsaws this year. Ive had the privilege of finally getting a 2009 455 Rancher last month, all from pawnshops this year because thats all I can afford. They all have been well used and abused, I fixed a few things, disassembled them, cleaned them and they all run every time a need one to feed myself. I looked at all the boards and all the reviews and I think some of the bad reviews are from people that have no experience with simple repairs. Ive had an oil pump failure on the 350, I pulled the pump, cleaned it. Replaced the $8.00 plastic gear and moved on with my life. I didnt pay $120 to a service center or get upset and post a angry review calling all Husqvarnas junk. I can not speak to the quality of a new saw because I never had one but I can personally speak for the used Husqvarna saws with some personal information about my own situation. Im happy with the ones a have and my new 455 Rancher....well new to me. The 455 is a beast. Its my pride and joy. I love it and we have a great relationship. I care for it and treat it like its my child. I give it only the proper fuel and oil and bath it regularly at the end of the day before bed. Its leaks some oil but hey, what 5 yr old child doesnt leak overnight? In return it allows me to WORK, this winter it will keep me warm. If you pay $419.00 plus tax for a saw and you have problems with it I can understand being a little angry but dont trash Husqvarna because the product went down or is having an issue, at least you didnt have to work all month to buy a used one at a pawnshop. If I ever get a new 455 Ill let you know what quality it is in ten years because I wont be complaining to a dealer or a forum about how my toy broke and mommy wont buy me a new one and they all are junk because mine broke. If you dont like you new junk saw send it my way and Ill send you a picture of it in ten years when Im still using it. Oil pumps go down, bolts fall out, my favorite I heard was the saws are junk. If they all are junk then how come I paid my child support this week with my well used junk? Junk doesnt pay your bills. The information forums should be for information not venting... Wait thats what Im doing 8-(. I guess because when I hear someone say all are junk because the one that was GIVEN as a gift to me wasnt perfect I get a little angered. Again if you do not like your new 455 Ill take it off your hands gladly. For people who are truly having problems out of your new saws I truly feel for you, I have the advantage of never being able to afford an overpriced shop repair bill so when one goes down I fix it myself very simply. Cost me little of nothing because my labor is free and the saw was already well used so I didnt take the hit as hard as you did. If you will ask some of the people on the forums how to fix your problem, Im sure most of those guys would be very happy to help and the people putting Husqvarna chainsaw repair videos on YouTube makes most repair tasks very simple. Again I see the biggies in the Husqvarna saw is the cheap plastic oil gear but hey it does say Rancher on the side and not xp. Husqvarna provided a product for $400 and it is a good $400 product, notice I didnt say $1000 product? All in all I would buy another 455 Rancher in a minute if I come across one, in fact if I can get an opportunity to get a brand new one later this year you better believe Ill jump on it because I trust the product. In fact I trust it so much Ill bet my next meal on it....oh wait I do.

UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE. Purchased a 30/52 Husqvarna Ride on from Karls Mowers Burleigh Heads, cost almost $6000. Had 240 hours, had all of its required services on it when it started to play up. Went and seen Karl who said spray carby cleaner into the carby. You can buy it from Supercheap, that should fix it. Thats exactly what it did. Fixed it for good. Rang them up to say it has a problem and quickly got diverted to ring Husqvarna and tell them what has happened. Got told off by the Husqvarna service people for calling them on the number Karls gave me and was told that I should take it up with the person who sold me the mower or take it to the nearest approved Husqvarna outlet. Did that and they pulled the motor down and sent pics to Husqvarna. Yes you guessed it, not our problem they said. I have failed to do maintenance on it by the book, we can see that in the photos. How about the carby cleaner solution provided by Karls Mowers I asked. Not interested, as we said you have not done regular maintenance on the mower. But wait on I have done all the maintenance by the book. Can I send you the proof and claim my warranty? No you cant. We dont deal with customers of Husqvarna directly. You will have to go back to a dealership. Anyway our warranty only covers manufacturers faults. Mmmmm so even though I have serviced the machine by the book and it only has 240+ hours on it, you have no obligation whatsoever to recognize any warranty. Yes thats correct. You must have put an aftermarket air filter in it rather than a genuine part.So here I am now taking action against the big guy. Anyone else out there who has a similar story about being shafted on a warranty from Husqvarna, let me know. Im putting together a list of sites who I can take my case further to. This social media thing is great for letting people know about who isnt giving good service. Costly experience for me and costly for Husqvarna, Im sure. I purchased a HU800AWD in Spring of 2015. The first or second time I mowed my backyard I hit a green pine cone buried in the grass. There was the usual sound when a mower hits something solid. Several laps later the drive mechanism began to slip. I stopped the mower. I found that a green pine in the drive mechanism with a bunch of grass and the PLASTIC part that covered an access to the drive mechanism had a nice hole and crack that ran to a corner screw. I cleaned out the drive mechanism, bought a sheet of thin steel, bent it into as close an approximation as I could and attached it to the mower deck. Here I want to say that my former mower a 15 year old Toro had on many occasions hit green pine cones, hidden dog toys or tennis balls in deep grass with never a hiccup. My front yard due to fescue requires a mower height change every time I mow. One of the curved tips of levers has broken off. I was willing to live with the inconvenience of the 4 wheel adjustment as opposed to one lever to change all wheels at once due to what I thought was Husqvarna quality. I made a mistake. I would not buy this mower again. I tried to post a review on Husqvarna but got the message that the review could not be posted due to some error.

Apparently, pull pins are just a bad design. Mower has probably been used about 30 times, bought in 2015 for Kansas use, and have not had any problems. In fact, it has been great for all the reasons I did buy it! However, back to the pins. A friend mowed for me last week, and apparently put more muscle into pulling the pin for adjustment (which they are a little sticky sometimes) and it broke off in his hand. Just sayin... Bad design on those pull pins. Buyer beware, and Husqvarna fix that crap!

Sandra, the customer service agent, attentively listened to my plight and decided to call Sonja, the store manager, who also politely listened to my story. I got the belt for free and she apologized for Husqvarnas rude service. Once again I was impressed with Lowes customer service. I know I purchased a bad product ($2K+) but I dont blame Lowes. On the contrary, Ill continue to buy there any product without hesitation. Caveat Emptor. Its my fault; I should have done more research, i.e. on this site!

I set it up for the winter and took it to Lowes in the spring of this year to have it sent off and repaired. After about a month, I received a call from the authorized service center telling me that the repairs were not covered under warranty. Caller said that there was excessive moisture in gas, therefore, diluting the oil in the mixture, and scouring the cylinder walls and trashing the carb. I used the Husky oil purchased at Lowes and followed instructions on type of gas and mixing. I mean, seriously, I have only been mixing 2-cycle oil for 25 years, and have never had a problem in the past. I have been told that gasoline with ethanol will cause a problem such as this, as the ethanol will evaporate leaving excessive moisture in the gasoline. If this is the case, why does Husky not publish this in their 2-cycle manuals so consumers will buy ethanol free? I told the caller to take the blower out back and toss it as far as they could, and I would go buy an Echo blower to replace it. I went by Lowes today to pick up the thing, as they would not even dispose of it as I asked.

After less than 24 hours of use, I took the saw in because it was getting progressively harder to start. After being in the service shop for 42 days I got a call saying that the carburetor has some worn parts that would be covered under warranty. Great, covered under warranty and it will be a couple more weeks until they get the parts installed. A couple weeks pass and I call the shop and they say that it still isnt running quite right and they are looking for something else wrong, now the saw has been in repair for 2 months and they still dont know what is wrong. Get a call a few weeks later stating that the piston is scored and not covered under warranty, “Sorry nothing we can do.” As I said before I run the same gas/oil mix for my competitor’s saw as well as the Husqvarna. Ended up taking my competitor’s saw into the dealer to see if that piston had any trouble, and he said it looked perfect. Called Husqvarna to inquire about the manufacturer defect, and why it would not be covered under warranty. They were rude and would not let you talk to anyone that knew anything about the chainsaw and said they will communicate directly with the shop, nothing I can do about it, and no one I can talk to. So after paying just over 700 dollars for the saw I got 24 hours of use out of it. Terrible service, horrible customer service, and a joke of a chainsaw. Will never buy another product with the name Husqvarna on it again. Buyer beware, stay away! You have been warned.Update: on 12/6/14 I took the saw to two independent (Non-Husqvarna) dealers, both looked at the piston which was scored on the exhaust side only, both stated that running on straight fuel, or an improper mixture would give both intake and exhaust, nearly 360 degree damage, not what my saw has. They both said that due to the intake side being perfect that it was likely another problem. The one dealer said he would suspect an air leak, and that would be covered if I would have bought his saw. The one dealer admitted to Husqvarna being a terrible company for a customer to deal with. So once again, you have been warned, buy a different brand. They also blocked my review several times on their website, so I have decided to post on their facebook page instead!

It has been in the shop more than it has been at my home. The first thing I never liked is they cut sloppy cut. I figured I could buy better blades, not a big thing. First time I was mowing this summer, I broke of a blade bracket. I ran over tree branch, not big by no means, but it broke it off in many pieces. I had that repaired and after trying it again, I broke another bracket off in less than an hour. And after talking to the Husqvarna dealer, all they said was it was a common problem. I got that back home and began using it and I noticed a lot of deck noise. After checking things out, I found a belt pulley completely worn off. I checked the others and they are all very badly worn, as well as the teeth on the blade brackets. So now, the dealer is basically rebuilding my deck I only have 4 hours on it. I have tried calling Husqvarna customer service all they do is make a report and send it to this so called Army Answer group whos supposed to handle their complaints and answer questions. I have left 3 questions with them and not one has been answered yet. Have left a bad review of the model of mower I have and that was rejected. I have not gotten any reply back from Husqvarna and am very angry with all the problems Im having. I believe its a flaw in the mover or very cheap parts. I do know that the pulleys are made out of very cheap extremely thin metal. I cant see how that would last at all. Every time I take it back, all they can do is replace the crap with the same cheap junk they had in the first place. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. If I could find stronger parts that would fit this deck, I would spend the money. All I know is Husqvarna will not stand behind this product at all. I cannot find any emails for Husqvarna. All they have is Answer Army which is a complete joke. If you have any idea what I can do, please let me know.

Hence the interface material suffers. You can tighten them as much as you want but the parts still wear out. $$$$$$$$$ 1. The material used in the drive spindle spline is very strong and the pulley material is very soft, hence it easily wears out. Same with the bottom of the drive spindle where the bottom star is soft material and the blade is very STRONG, hence the spindle wears out quickly. $$$$$$$$ 2. ZERO customer support. I have left a total of 5 requests over the years to contact the factory and the common response is, thank you and a factory representative will contact you in 1-2 business days. NEVER HAPPENED. Last request was in mid May, NADA.I can fix my problem because I have the experience and tools to do so. HOWEVER, any lay person is at the mercy of the poor customer service and expensive replacement parts cost. My hope was to communicate with the factory as to the problems I have been subject to and wanted to offer engineering solutions. They seem to not care!!!!

It ran fine for a few months, then would act like it was running out of gas then would shut off. I couldnt get it cranked back up for several hours, then it would only run for a short time. I had a local guy pick it up and was charged $125 for carb work along with pick up and delivery. Later that next day---same thing. He came back to my house and took out the plug and asked me to start it--gas came spewing out, then he cleaned the plug and opening, and it ran enough to finish my lawn. Next week, same thing again. This time I called Lowes and the mngr agreed to pick it back up and take it to their service center. They called about 10 days later saying the repair bill was over $409!!! Wtf!! I said its under a 2-year warranty---they said carburetor problems were not covered, and they would charge me a diagnostic charge and a p/u and delivery charge just to have it back to the store unfixed. Also the folks they use (Altaquip???) were not Husqvarna service dealers anyway.Now, Lowes mngr. said they would deliver it back to my house and I would have to call a factory authorized service dealer in my area to fix it... Huskee said there would still be a charge to have carb problems fixed, so Im stuck with a mower that broke down on me and still have to pay... What a rip-off!! I did the research on the highest rated riding mowers, and husky was at the top---never again!! Buyer beware!! PS: My sisters husband bought one too and has exactly the same problems!! Mike.

Had to drive 30 minutes to take it to warranty-certified repair service. Place kept it for 3 weeks and then claimed it had no gas and no oil in it, therefore warranty was null and void. They said rod was broke in engine and would cost over $300 to repair. We know it had oil and gas in it when we took it. Husqvarna and Briggs and Stratton refused to help us. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is terrible when a company gets their warranty service people to be untruthful to prevent making good on a claim!

Bought it at Lowes this spring. It has no power. The mulching component magically SUSPENDS the cut grass inside the mower housing until the blade gets choked by too much compressed grass, and the entire mower is forcibly shut off. So very frustrating. The only way to restart the mower is to dislodge the enormous amount of compressed grass -- leaving a mountain of unsightly clods on top of your yard. No, the grass doesnt need to be wet or damp for this to happen. Heaven help you if your grass *is* a tad damp. This mower (Husqvarna 700H) simply cannot handle it. Im a nice person; in fact, this is the first negative review that Ive ever written. Ive just had enough. This review is completely honest, I have not exaggerated in any way.

Odd, since the gas was brand new and I used the oil that I purchased from the dealer AND I have used this fuel mixture on a Stihl chainsaw with no issues. The dealer was good enough to contact Husqvarna customer support while I was in the store. I expected that I could speak to the representative, but I guess I was not a privileged customer and was denied to speak to them directly. The dealer was asked to send pictures. Husqvarna reviewed the pictures and said it was TOO much oil in the mixture. Seems odd that two independent qualified parties came up with completely different root cause of the issue. In any case, my claim with Husqvarna was denied and their warranty will not cover a defect on their end. They are using the excuse to say the gas was bad. Having power equipment for over 25 years, this statement is a joke as my 20 year old Craftsman Weedwacker that I leave old and stale gas in over the winter actually still starts and works fine. Husqvarna really needs to take accountability for their lack in quality and professionalism. A lot of money for a piece of crap engineering.

After 8 more tanks of gas, the engine seized. The piston/cylinder burned up again. The service center reported a metal support between the carb and head was missing from the factory. During the first repair, the technician noticed it missing and thought they changed the design. They explained that after the saw warmed up, it would allow air to leak into the head causing the saw to run too lean and too hot. As this was a factory error, I expected an apology or a new saw, but received neither. I paid $1,100 for this factory defect saw and would be lucky to get half of that for this saw that has burned up twice. I asked for a refund or a new power head but Husqvarna would do neither. They said it would still be covered under warranty, but I would rather be cutting logs than waiting for repair service. At this point, I do not trust this saw that has been exposed to extreme heat twice and have to baby the saw or take a loss and sell it. Husqvarna did not do me right and I will never purchase a Husqvarna product again. If you are considering purchasing a Husqvarna, be forewarned.

There are plastic parts where there should be metal, which is one of the problems. If you are thinking about buying one, dont. If you are still going to get one, the first time you hear a grinding noise in back, take it in and hope that will be in the 12 month warranty, otherwise youre screwed. Terrible problem and Husqvarna doesnt give a crap. Sad.

Then, on the sixth time, I was using it right at the beginning of Hurricane Sandy when a tree fell across the street. While cutting it out of the way, the chain popped and a ping sound came from around the recoil/brake area.After I put the chain back on, it felt funny when I tried to start it so I bought it to the Husqvarna Authorized service center Curtis Feed & Farm Supply located at 3454 County Route, 74 Greenwich, NY 12834 (518-692-8529). They took it in on Tuesday and were finished with it on Friday. But to my amazement, they handed me a $33.12 bill claiming that a defective hand guard isnt covered under warranty. He couldnt give me a reason why it broke, got misuse or so forth. So, I paid for a top of the line chainsaw worth $400 and every sixth time of using it, it would cost me $33? Really? I could have bought two Craftsman 20 saws for the same money!I took it back to Tractor Supply which was on the way home from the service center, not expecting them to take it back and refund my money - but they did even though I bought it back in May! So A+ to Tractor Supply, and a big F to Husqvarna and their authorized service center. Their brand will be forever junk to me and anybody whoever asks me!

This is a safety issue, the mower could roll into someone or something. The problem was a pin or clip that joins the locking mechanism to the brake mechanism was missing. Whether it had fallen out or was never installed I don’t know. Called Lowe’s, they were great and replaced the tractor. Took the new one out, used it for two hours and guess what? Same thing. Contacted Husqvarna. Useless. “Take it to a dealer or we can send a part and you can fix it yourself”. No interest in trying to determine if it’s a design or quality issue. Thank God they don’t make aircraft!

I am angry and dissatisfied. I have contacted the corporate offices as well as the dealership and their home office with no response. On 6/2/11, I purchased a new Husqvarna GTH26V52LS Garden Tractor from STI Turf Care in Colfax, NC. The 2nd day I used the mower with only 5 hours on it, a blade and bolt dropped from the mower. I never heard anything and had mowed a while before I saw the blade and bolt on the ground, together with bolt threads up from the center of the star hole of the blade. I mow a lot of grass and my lawn is certainly not a golf course, but was on smooth and level ground when this happened. The dealer was not going to even come and pick up the 2-day old mower with only 5 hours on it or cover under warranty. They insisted I must have hit something to shear off the bolt. I did not. After planning to return the mower for full refund, the dealer finally agreed to pick it up and make repairs. Im sure they put the same blade and bolt back on the machine. Then in October 2011 (5-month old mower with 88 hours on it), a blade fell off again and I found the bolt within one foot of the blade. Perfectly smooth and level ground once again. The dealer again flatly refused to pick up the mower and make repairs under warranty. I misplaced the bolt in my garage and they priced a new one for $10.00 (no warranty since it had to be my fault per the dealer). I went to LTD in King, NC and bought a new factory bolt for under $6.00. The local repairman I have always trusted to service three John Deere and Toro Wheelhorse (I have used on the same grounds past 15 years without ever having a blade fall off in any of them!). He made the repair, sharpened all the blades and serviced the machine. I decided after their ripoff price for the part that should be warrantied, overall poor service attitude and not standing behind their product, I would not deal with STI again. All went well until yesterday, 6/16/12, with 111.5 hours and just over one year old, the blade fell off again on perfectly smooth and level ground. As with other two times, no noise or any idea blade was off until I came around and saw it on the ground. This time, I cannot find the bolt. I am extremely aggravated and disappointed considering the price I paid for this machine. I am not abusing the tractor or subjecting it to anything or anywhere my two JD or Toro have gone before. Cutting at 2.5 to 3 and no obstacles. This problem is not from the operator; it has to be a mechanical defect. I have not marked the blades so I have no idea if it is the same blade each time. What do you suggest? I received no help from dealership.

So I asked for her name and employee number and she would not give me her first name and stated that employees are not given employee numbers - like I believe that. So I left with a new broken mower. I will never buy another Husqvarna product ever.

I didnt like how the JD controls worked and some on its construction seemed less quality. HV was a lot more machine for the price, solid unit with a top end Kawasaki engine. For the same engine, JD was about $200 more. Now that Ive had it for a few mowing I like the Husqvarnas operation and it give a good mow. It fast and gives a good mow.

A majority of this time is sitting and waiting for it to start!Of course Lowes does NOT want to help! I called Husqvarna several times they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! I spoke with a Husqvarna Dealer in the area, who informed me Husqvarna says they will NOT be honoring their warranty and I have to pay a trip ticket fee and for it to be picked up. I have attempted in good faith to contact Lowes, Husqvarna and an authorized Husq. Dealer. Husqvarna is blaming me for putting too much oil in the mower causing it to smoke, even though it was smoking before I put oil in it and NO one has looked at it yet! You have chosen not to fix your lawnmower that is a lemon! Consumer Affairs give me what options I have. Thank you.

I initially only wanted the part sent and I was willing to replace it myself, but was told it had to go back to the store, which I did. Without ever consulting me about what happened (either at the store or by the repair shop) it was, ultimately, assumed I had to have hit something. I never hit anything but grass. I took pictures of the cheap, pot metal casting that sheared if anyone is interested. I have only had the mower since October 2014 and I now dont trust it based on what has happened. Lowes has always been my home center of choice for years now. I am currently building a house and have easily spent over $20,000 in the last year alone and the house is only 50% complete. From here on out, Im afraid that my preferred home center for most things will now be Home Depot. It is not so much that I was charged for the repair, but that it was determined without ever consulting me that it had to have been broken due to user error, which I know to be a false assumption. And when I questioned this at the store, they turned up their hands and told me to contact Husqvarna. Im not sure that was the best answer for a product you promote. Never buying or recommending another Husqvarna product is not a big deal to me, but ending my 20+ year old Lowes relationship should speak volumes. Loyalty needs to be earned.

I purchased Husqvarna GHT2754 garden tractor 9 years ago from a local dealer. The first year all was well. The second year a pulley bracket broke. Brought the tractor to the dealer for repairs. Was told the tractor was out of warranty so I would have to pay for any repairs. The third year a similar thing happened. Dealer told me he feels the mower deck was under-designed for its size, (54). Would have been nice to know before purchase. Repairs were made. Later that year or possibly the next the deck broke for the third time. Again this was a pulley mount. This time the dealer asked if I would mind if he sent it to a friend who has experience fixing farm equipment. A year passed with no problems but the next year the mower deck front mounting plate broke. I was so frustrated I had a friend fabricate a reinforced part and weld it. Last year the steering stopped working. When disassembled the plastic bearing had failed and wore through the steel mount. Again a new much stronger mount and bearing were fabricated and installed. Yesterday while installing a new drive belt I found the bracket for yet another pulley was cracked to the point it will need to be welded and reinforced as well. Each time I had a failure it cost me time and money to make repairs, hire someone else to cut my grass and even pay to have the dealer pickup the tractor to bring in for repairs. I wish I had kept better records and photos because I think I would be talking to a lawyer regarding this. I should have researched Husqvarna better prior to buying this tractor. I would have been far better off and money ahead, if I had hired a lawn service these past 9 years. My recommendation is to stay away from Husqvarna products unless you enjoy spending your free time rebuilding poorly designed and manufactured products.

Battery and starter is working fine; its just not starting! My last two mowers were John Deeres and they are still running and over twenty years old! The Husqvarna didnt have one year on it and I started having breakdowns with it!! As soon as it is repaired, this time it is going to get sold and I will buy a John Deere, Toro or Snapper! - Something with known reliability and not another pile of junk like this Husqvarna RZ3016 30-Inch!!

I, too, bought a Husqvarna 2654 three years ago, and my story is just like Forrest of Festus, MO, reported on 12/12/11. The difference was that I was not as smart as Forrest. I believed the Husqvarna Service Center. The transaxle failed one month, after the 1 year warranty was over. The machine was not even paid for yet. I replaced the trans-axle, as suggested by the service center for about $1,100. I wish I was as fastidious as Forrest.

I purchased a Husqvarna RZ46i on Wednesday the 21st of May. I arranged to pick up the mower after work on Thursday the 22nd. I got home late and decided to mow the lawn knowing that it would be dark by the time I got half way done. I noticed that the mower had a vibration in the deck when it was off and the motor was on idle. I looked at the electric clutch and noticed that there was far too much run out between the clutch and the motor shaft. I engaged the blades and idled the motor up to about half throttle and deck shook badly. If I sped the motor up the deck would smooth out some but vibration was sure to take a toll on the life of the bearings in the clutch and the deck spindles. I mowed the grass and the right headlight went out within 15 minutes most likely from the vibration. I called the store and arranged for another mower to try. They called me back when it was ready and I went to check it out. The other mower acted the same way! The mechanic said that it had a three year warranty and I told him that that would be around the time that the bearings would start failing. He said I could buy the extended warranty and I told him I could buy the clutch for less than that. I rejected that mower at the store and left it there. I told the mechanic that I wanted to call Husqvarna on Tuesday the 27th since they would be closed on Memorial Day and see where they stood on the issue. The customer service rep. had never heard of this problem and did not seem to know anything about belts and clutch alignment. She threw the responsibility back on the distributor as the one that should fix their Quality escape. Since the stores fix was the extended warranty and Husqvarnas was its not our problem then my decision was simple. I canceled the sell and bought a John Deere Z425. It was about a $1000.00 more but the clutch is aligned correctly. It runs and mows smooth as glass. Vibration is the number cause of failure in a bearing and then the heat that is generated in the process. When purchasing one of these mowers I would caution you to check the vibration and the run out on the clutch. Just because it may smooth out some at high RPM does not mean that everything is OK.
