Bought a Husqvarna commercial mower pz6029 zero turn mower for lawn cutting
Bought a Husqvarna commercial mower pz6029 zero turn mower for lawn cutting. The mower started making noise at eight hours of use under the deck. It was the spindles. The place I bought it from got it fixed for me. At 50 hours of use, the same problem again. At 100 hours, the same problem. Lets get it fixed, it ran fine for another 50 and the same noise. Im still waiting on the answer for the repair of the mower and the Husqvarna rep told me to get air plugs well. For a 11,000 machine, this is crazy. I have older machines that make no noise and work perfect with 1200 hours. This machine is a piece of junk.

Every lawn tractor I have owned is a dead-man design; take your foot off the pedal and the machine stops its movement forward or back. This new machine of mine is operated by a lever on the fender, and keeps moving until the lever is moved to neutral, or the brake is engaged. Which responds as though encountering a wall. So, I have a question; how did the Consumer Protection folks let this design pass review? Any thoughts?

DO NOT BUY ANY HUSQVARNA products. They are inferior machines. I purchased a YTH23V48 riding lawn mower 1 year ago. It has 27 hours on it and has been in the shop 4 times!!! Will not cut even and doesnt vacuum up the grass properly (purchased 3 bag system as well) so I have to cut the grass twice to get all the clippings. Waste of time and $$. Paid over $2K for this machine; deck was replaced which they said was bent. Put 3 sets of blades to no avail with 3 deck alignments, the crazy thing is to ONLY make right turns when cutting ridiculous so as not to leave grass clippings everywhere.

After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 year
After trying to get my McCulloch chainsaw to continue running after 25 years and unable to get parts, I finally decided it was time to break down and get a new chainsaw. I was at Lowes and decided to buy the Husqvarna Model 440 as it seemed to be the best fit for my needs. Between being extremely busy and injuring my elbow, I did not get to using the chainsaw for several weeks. When I went to use the chainsaw, it would not start. I tried several times and the chainsaw would not fire up. A check of basic systems indicated it was getting gas (the plug was wet) but saw only minimal spark. I called Husqvarna expecting customer service but I was told that I would have to take it to the dealer for warranty repair. They gave me the name of a dealer with hours that are difficult for my work schedule. When I took time off from work to get to the dealer, he told me that he does not do warranty work on chainsaws purchased from Lowes. He directed me to another dealer not listed on Husqvarnas locator who does this work. They were also closed. So I still have a chainsaw that does not work, have had to take time off from work to get to the recommended dealer who does not perform this work, and spent money on gas driving around for a defective product. My expectations were: 1) Husqvarna telling me to take it back to Lowes where they would give me a new one and send the defective one back to Husqvarna; or 2) Send me return postage labels so I could send the saw back to Husqvarna (similar to Dell Computers policy). Instead I have the burden of repairing a defective product placed on the customer instead of the supplier of the defective product. Of all the items I have purchased in my life, I do not believe I have ever had such a poor buying experience. I will never buy another Husqvarna product and will warn my friends against purchasing Husqvarna products if this is their definition of customer service.

Husqvarna ZTR mower only 2 weeks old has lost tension on the deck idler pulley. I called to get some information on how to fix this and they could only send me to service shops many miles away. They had no desire or ability to let me have the technical service information to fix this trivial problem; rather, they want to direct me to expensive service and much cost for transport. This is beyond lousy service. Every lawnmower owner should be able to get decent technical service documents.

I hope this helps prevent someone from throwing their money away, the hassle of owning and repairing one of these movers.

This is about the Husqrvana YTH20K46 riding lawn mower. I purchased the mower from Lowes Home Center Store at 940 Interstate Parkway, Akron, Ohio 44312 in July of 2009.My complaint is that it doesnt cut the lawn even and its hard to start. I was cutting the lawn recently and the cable that engages the blade broke, and I had to have the local mower company come and pick it up, take it and have everything fixed on it. The mower is only 2 years old. It cost me a total of $366 to have it repaired. Im a 71 year old female on a fixed income and I was told that Husqvarna was a good tractor to buy. But now, I would not recommend it to anyone. I think I should get my money back, plus the repairs. For a 2 season lawn mower, thats bad. I forgot, I already had a flat tire on the back too. I would like to have feedback on this please. Thank you.

Bought a Husqvarna YTH24V54V lawn tractor on 8/6/18 at Lowes and a 3 yr extended warranty. $2450 +tax. Before this winter in TN, which is around end of Nov. I winterized it like I have winterized all my outdoor equip for the past 30+ yrs living in upstate NY where the winters are about 3 months longer and much colder. Added stabil to gas in the mowers tank and gas in can. Ran engine long enough to make it to the carb. Why B&S does not install a shutoff valve in the system is beyond me?On 4/18 I decided to cut the grass for the first time this season. Started tractor with no problems and it ran as normal for about 2 mins on the driveway. Drove it to the grass engaged the deck and made it about 6 then stalled. Tried to start and it would not. Pushed back onto the driveway and continued to try and start. If I let it sit for a couple of mins it would start and run although not normal. Called it a day. It rained for two days so I did not look at it. When I did try to start it again. It ran for 15 20 secs but blowing white smoke. Did start it numerous times trying to figure out why the white smoke. Then I noticed it was also blowing oil and gas out of the exhaust! Ok check the gas tank which did have over a gallon in it now had 1/2 in. The crank case was full of diluted oil and gas. The first thing I thought of was the engine is probably now toast. The second thing was call Lowes and have it taken in for service. It took 5 days before they found a servicer to pick it up for repair. I did some internet investigation and found out it was most likely the carb and it seems B&S engines are the only ones to drain the gas into the oil. I also decided to dump the crankcase and change the filter. While the oil filter is draining in the catch pan I notice very file metallic shavings in the diluted stream. GREAT!!The Lowes warranty rep calls me on Tuesday thats (7 days with no mower). 1st call: Informs me that the servicer diagnosis was the carburetor is bad! And its not covered in the warranty. (My mistake and I wont ever let it happen again). I was a little dumbfounded as to why it wasnt but I was more concerned on getting it back. So then I am informed if you want him to do the job it will be 45 for diagnosis and the cost of the carb replacement. (Except she forgot to get that info.) Also informs me that the carb is on back order and the servicer has another mower waiting for one. (OK that raises 2 red flags for me.) Ok ,she will call back with the total and Ill go read the warranty under Owners Warranty Responsibilities. (Here is the part where they void their warranty) As the engine/equipment owner, you should however be aware that B&S may deny you warranty coverage if your equipment or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, or unapproved modifications. So adding Stabil to the fuel before winter is improper maintenance? Who Knew!!2nd phone call - The price for the carb and the diagnostics is $368. Ok they can do it. Now I ask her Why is the carb not covered? You would think it is since its a main part. Oh they said it was not covered because its a maintenance issue Oh! Surprise! I asked, Is there a eta on when the carbs will be available? No idea what so ever. Greaaat. So it seems maintenance issues have been taking out a lot of carbs since they cant keep them in stock? Why cant a dirty carb be repaired? Can a little (gas and fuel stabilizer) varnish making the float stick destroy the carb? B&S builds inferior carbs and pushes their failures off on their customers. Stay away from BRIGGS and any company who puts this engine in their product.

The name LGT stands for Light Garden Tractor. Emphasis on LIGHT. These have the Tuff Torq 46A hydrostatic transmission. This transmission has to be the most widely panned transmission amongst all riding lawnmowers. Add me to the list of very unhappy customers. My transmission is slipping badly after 5 years. A new transmission will cost over $300.00 without labor. Once installed I would have a LGT with the same crappy transmission. Please do your research and stay away from all the Tuff Torq 46A transmission. Forewarned.

Husqvarna 390XP chainsaw - Piston/cylinder melted during the second tank of
Husqvarna 390XP chainsaw - Piston/cylinder melted during the second tank of gas. The service center could not determine the cause, but replaced cylinder and piston. After 8 more tanks of gas, the engine seized. The piston/cylinder burned up again. The service center reported a metal support between the carb and head was missing from the factory. During the first repair, the technician noticed it missing and thought they changed the design. They explained that after the saw warmed up, it would allow air to leak into the head causing the saw to run too lean and too hot. As this was a factory error, I expected an apology or a new saw, but received neither. I paid $1,100 for this factory defect saw and would be lucky to get half of that for this saw that has burned up twice. I asked for a refund or a new power head but Husqvarna would do neither. They said it would still be covered under warranty, but I would rather be cutting logs than waiting for repair service. At this point, I do not trust this saw that has been exposed to extreme heat twice and have to baby the saw or take a loss and sell it. Husqvarna did not do me right and I will never purchase a Husqvarna product again. If you are considering purchasing a Husqvarna, be forewarned.

I bought a 2011 model 46 riding mower that spring from Lowes. Ran it about an hour and it shredded the belt. Called Lowes and they were happy to bring me a new mower (same model), which wasnt too bad. My current mower has 45 hours on it and Ive replaced the belt, replaced the left mandrel assembly, new blades, and now I have to replace the mandrel pulley. Not to mention soft tires that have been repaired, mis-adjusted choke assembly and a deck that will not remain adjusted. I will not buy another Husqvarna.

I researched all brands and bought this one even though I was skeptical after seeing the tractor in person. It was a plastic piece of junk. It scalped the grass even though the deck was leveled at the dealer twice. Uneven cut and forget about going around a corner on a slight angle. One side was cut down to the dirt while the other side was 3 inches high.I tried everything and still good. Putting the deck lift handle on the left side is ok if you are left handed but It was impossible to raise while moving with my not dominate left hand. No power steering was another mistake that I made. I actually sprained my wrist trying to make a close turn and I am 6ft. 230 lbs. I paid for the mulching kit but it threw so much grass up over the top of the tractor I had to take off the mulching plus and use it with no diffuser. The dealer was very co-operative but after having the tractor for only 3 days I paid a 10% restocking fee and that along with losing the sales tax cost me nearly $600.00. I called Husqvarna and got no return call. I bought a Cub Cadet and paid more but it is a world of difference better.

I purchased an all wheel drive Husqvarna mower from Lowes and it was a good reliable lawn mower for about a year, after that I started having problems with the transmission. I ended up pushing more than it went forward on its own (it went very slow). The 3rd season (still under warranty) I brought it in for repair and the service center said it was used commercially and not used for residential cutting so they said it was abused. I had a Toro for 20 years and it was still running when I got rid of it. I live on a half-acre so theres a lot of grass but I dont own a lawn maintenance service and I do not let anybody else mow with my lawn mower. I also dont know how you abuse a transmission, the outside of a lawnmower is just fine and so is the oil and it starts up just fine. I called Husqvarna to dispute it but they said they stand by the repair centers judgment since they cant see the lawn mower. They sent me a $50 gift certificate to go use at the service center. I never brought the lawn mower in for any repairs, this would be the only warranty issue and they still would not cover it. I do not recommend Husqvarna.

I purchased a Husqvarna string trimmer model 327 LDx-series from Amazon in September 2014. I only used it twice, drained the non-ethanol gas each time and when I went to use it August 29 it would start, but then died when I tried to trim. I contacted Husqvarnas customer service number, 800-487-5951, and they told me I needed to take it to a certified Husqvarna dealer. Took it there and was advised that Husqvarna wont cover it because where I bought the product didnt register it, so its not covered. So I call Husqvarnas back, speak to Dawn, who was totally unhelpful, and recommends I take it to a different service center. I said why, I have it at a recommended repair shop, why would I take it somewhere else? You want me to drive all over for same result? Dawn continues to say well its probably not under warranty. Finally I call Amazon who apologized for the situation and fully refunded my purchase. Go Amazon, love you, and GOODBYE Husqvarna, my first and LAST experience ever with your products!!! Hard lesson, but grateful that Amazon stands by their customers and protects their purchases, lesson learned: Dont buy Husqvarna ever. Back to Echo for me.

We purchased the 24 HP 54 cut Husqvarna lawn tractor last fall 2013. Every time we mow the lawn, we have to scrape the deck with a putty knife to clean the grass that builds up while cutting the grass. We have had to stop cutting the lawn because the deck packs up with lawn grass clippings. This has been a continuous problem since we bought it. We have taken it back to the dealership and they changed the blades, put on gator blades and even tried mowing themselves and still it builds up under the deck. They let us use a brand new zero turn and it too had to be cleaned. The deck is poorly made and Husqvarna does nothing to help you.. It is under warranty and I am sure they WILL do something about this problem.

After looking at reviews (greatest thing since sliced bread) I decided to purchase one of these (Husqvarna ST227P Snowblower), what a mistake. I have used the machine approx. 10x and have had it back to the dealership 7x. To date they have had to replace the carburetor -- machine would not keep running, replace the drive - would not go forward or backwards, belts broke second time I used it, gas lines split and leaked gas after the first season, plastic for the discharge chute controls snapped off and remember this is after only 10 uses. The dealership has had the machine more than I have. I attempted to exchange it for another machine and or have my money refunded but Husqvarna said no but they would extend the warranty for an additional 6 months and keep having it fixed until the warranty run out. In the meantime I have had to borrow a friends machine, pay to have our driveway plowed and shovel. The last time I took the machine in they had to replace the drive which took 2 months for the parts to arrive. Twice when I went to pick the machine up after being called because it was repaired I have had to leave it due to the machine breaking down when they were trying to load it on to my truck. I contacted Husqvarna who in turn contacted the dealership I purchased the machine from and were told that the gas lines leaked was due to me leaving old gas in it over the winter. Unbelievable. All of my equipment is winterized and some are 15 plus years old and have never had the gas line changed, what a joke!! It appears that Husqvarnas quality has gone and I will not be purchasing any more of their products. I currently own 2 of their chainsaws, both over ten years old and never an issue but speaking to friends who have purchase new ones they have had nothing but issues. At this point I am rooting for the greenhouse effect and we never get snow again!!! What a waste of $1698.00.

On May 2nd, 2012, I bought a Farm Tough chainsaw from Tractor Supply, which I paid $399 for. I needed a 20 saw for some of the bigger trees that fell during tropical storm Irene. I have a 16 Poulan, and an 18 Homelite. I have owned chainsaws my whole life. I figured I would pay extra for a top of the line product. Boy, was I wrong! It ran great when I first used it, and I babied that saw like no others because it was so expensive. I was really impressed with it. Then, on the sixth time, I was using it right at the beginning of Hurricane Sandy when a tree fell across the street. While cutting it out of the way, the chain popped and a ping sound came from around the recoil/brake area. After I put the chain back on, it felt funny when I tried to start it so I bought it to the Husqvarna Authorized service center Curtis Feed & Farm Supply located at 3454 County Route, 74 Greenwich, NY 12834 (518-692-8529). They took it in on Tuesday and were finished with it on Friday. But to my amazement, they handed me a $33.12 bill claiming that a defective hand guard isnt covered under warranty. He couldnt give me a reason why it broke, got misuse or so forth. So, I paid for a top of the line chainsaw worth $400 and every sixth time of using it, it would cost me $33? Really? I could have bought two Craftsman 20 saws for the same money!I took it back to Tractor Supply which was on the way home from the service center, not expecting them to take it back and refund my money - but they did even though I bought it back in May! So A+ to Tractor Supply, and a big F to Husqvarna and their authorized service center. Their brand will be forever junk to me and anybody whoever asks me!

This is in reference with my Husqvarna rotary lawn mower (Model Number: 917.376822 21). My mower wouldnt start this spring. As it was still in warranty, I took it to an authorized repair center, Maximum Outdoor Equipment Service. Although I had prepared the mower for storage last fall by putting a fuel stabilizer in the gas tank, as described in the owners manual, I was told that the mower wasnt covered by warranty because the carburetor had gummed up. Apparently, the information in the manual was inaccurate and that a fuel stabilizer should never be used in a mower gas tank.I pointed out that the owners manual said to use stabilizer but I was told that it was erroneous information and that they were compelled to honor the warranty because Sears had their logo on the back of the book. I then went to Sears and was told that since Husqvarna had published the book, Sears could not be held responsible for the information in the manual.Additionally, I understand theres a bulletin from the factory regarding a fault in the carburetor on this model. So far, this farce has cost me $105 for something I feel should be covered by warranty. Your timely response with any help or guidance you can provide would be very much appreciated. After this experience, I will not ever purchase another Husqvarna product or anything powered by Kohler.

Bought the YTH18542 riding mower at Lowes 3 years ago. Nice machine, when it works. Poor traction if the grass is damp going uphill. Probably needs slightly larger, wider rear tires or more weight over them. The real disappointment has been the mechanical problems. After one mowing season the engine wouldnt start. Problem turned out to be the carb solenoid failure, which stopped fuel from going through the carb. Early in the 3rd mowing season, one of the pulleys for the drive (not the blades) had its bearings go bad. Bought a new pulley but the carriage bolt which secures it to the underside of the frame is loose so the nut cant be tightened enough. I would not recommend this machine if you value reliability.

I purchased a 440 Husqvarna chainsaw less than a year ago. Ever since I took it out of the box, it has been hard to start. I took to an authorized Husqvarna repair shop to see why it was so hard to start and was told that, after removing the muffler, they could see that the piston was showing signs of being discolored from overheating. I was told that the warranty was voided because I was not using Husqvarna brand 2-cycle oil. I was using ACE Hardwarde 2-cycle oil and that the same mixture was working in all of my other 2-cycle engines. I asked if there was another reason the engine could overheat and was told that a too lean fuel adjustment could be the cause but that they did not have the time to do further investigation and most likely Husqvarna would refuse any warranty work anyway. On Husqvarnas suggestion, I took it to another authorized repair shop who confirmed that the carburetor was set out-of-limits and was in the full lean position. Husqvarna still refused any responsibility for the malfunction. I was told that there was no one in Husqvarna that can override a decision made by their warranty department. My advise is not to count on any warranty help from Husqvarna.

My Husqvarna is a great mower and cuts level for a 42 inch riding mower. I would recommend this mower as it looks as good as it works for me. I had a John Deere but it did not pick up leaves and pine needles as good as the Husqvarna.

Purchased a 223L trimmer after reading reviews. This trimmer has lots of power and starts easy every time. But it will burn/blister my R forearm. The exhaust exits at my elbow. I am not the first person to get burnt by this trimmer. The Consumer Products Safety Division has received a lot of the same complaint. So far Husqvarna has yet to respond to my complaints. This product needs recalled as it is dangerous.

Ive bought a 1998 350 and a 2008 445 chainsaws this year. Ive had the privilege of finally getting a 2009 455 Rancher last month, all from pawnshops this year because thats all I can afford. They all have been well used and abused, I fixed a few things, disassembled them, cleaned them and they all run every time a need one to feed myself. I looked at all the boards and all the reviews and I think some of the bad reviews are from people that have no experience with simple repairs. Ive had an oil pump failure on the 350, I pulled the pump, cleaned it. Replaced the $8.00 plastic gear and moved on with my life. I didnt pay $120 to a service center or get upset and post a angry review calling all Husqvarnas junk. I can not speak to the quality of a new saw because I never had one but I can personally speak for the used Husqvarna saws with some personal information about my own situation. Im happy with the ones a have and my new 455 Rancher....well new to me. The 455 is a beast. Its my pride and joy. I love it and we have a great relationship. I care for it and treat it like its my child. I give it only the proper fuel and oil and bath it regularly at the end of the day before bed. Its leaks some oil but hey, what 5 yr old child doesnt leak overnight? In return it allows me to WORK, this winter it will keep me warm. If you pay $419.00 plus tax for a saw and you have problems with it I can understand being a little angry but dont trash Husqvarna because the product went down or is having an issue, at least you didnt have to work all month to buy a used one at a pawnshop. If I ever get a new 455 Ill let you know what quality it is in ten years because I wont be complaining to a dealer or a forum about how my toy broke and mommy wont buy me a new one and they all are junk because mine broke. If you dont like you new junk saw send it my way and Ill send you a picture of it in ten years when Im still using it. Oil pumps go down, bolts fall out, my favorite I heard was the saws are junk. If they all are junk then how come I paid my child support this week with my well used junk? Junk doesnt pay your bills. The information forums should be for information not venting... Wait thats what Im doing 8-(. I guess because when I hear someone say all are junk because the one that was GIVEN as a gift to me wasnt perfect I get a little angered. Again if you do not like your new 455 Ill take it off your hands gladly. For people who are truly having problems out of your new saws I truly feel for you, I have the advantage of never being able to afford an overpriced shop repair bill so when one goes down I fix it myself very simply. Cost me little of nothing because my labor is free and the saw was already well used so I didnt take the hit as hard as you did. If you will ask some of the people on the forums how to fix your problem, Im sure most of those guys would be very happy to help and the people putting Husqvarna chainsaw repair videos on YouTube makes most repair tasks very simple. Again I see the biggies in the Husqvarna saw is the cheap plastic oil gear but hey it does say Rancher on the side and not xp. Husqvarna provided a product for $400 and it is a good $400 product, notice I didnt say $1000 product? All in all I would buy another 455 Rancher in a minute if I come across one, in fact if I can get an opportunity to get a brand new one later this year you better believe Ill jump on it because I trust the product. In fact I trust it so much Ill bet my next meal on it....oh wait I do.

Not going to write a long and very boring POOR ME letter here. I owned a Husqvarna zero turn mower for over 11 years. I decided it was time to buy a new one. BIG mistake. I paid $3.500 and it arrived with a broken deck. But since they took away my brand new zero turn mower, they will not tell me when I can have it back. It seems that after two weeks they might consider just giving me a new one since that is what I paid for. I have tried and tried and tried to go through channels but they are 100% useless. I will leave you with one message: DO NOT BUY a Husqvarna Zero Turn mower. You will (for sure) regret it right away.

Lawnmower 775BBC 21 rear-drive purchased 10/13. Ran great out of the box. Second mowing this spring, the blade-drive brake spring broke; visible inclusion at break. Disassembled and found out just how shoddy this thing is built. Everything under the deck is exceptionally cheap and lightweight. Nice paint-job, though. Repaired spring. Chief complaint has to do with design. You show this wonderful machine a picture of damp grass and it completely plugs. Have to hose it out, tons of chewed-up grass, big mess. Tilt it on its side to do so and it will not restart; wait an hour. In 3-4 of damp (not by any means wet) grass, it plugs in about 15 minutes. This is using the side chute, dont know how the bagger works. Deck washdown feature is utterly useless. The rear-drive differential consistently locks up when pulling backwards. Oh and the chute falls off at the slightest provocation. When I was a kid, Husqvarna was one of the names any self-respecting dirtbiker lusted after. I dont know if their other products suffer from the same globalization disease and I will not be finding out. Four hundred bucks shot on a piece of equipment that will not do what it was supposedly designed for. This aint rocket science, folks.

On 7/22/2010, I received a new Husqvarna Rotary Lawn Mower (Part no: 917.376823 / Product no: 7021) as part of an exchange for another mower from Sears. I have had nothing but problems with the Husqvarna’s carburetor. On 11/26/2010, the mower stopped running and I had to return the mower to Sears for repair. After two weeks, I was told the problem was with the mowers carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me. On 6/20/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was again the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after 2 weeks. On 10/8/2011, the mower stopped running and I had to return it to Sears. The problem was the carburetor; it was repaired and returned to me after two weeks. On 5/1/2012, the mower stopped working. I returned it to Sears and they told me it was yet again a problem with the Carburetor. It was repaired and returned to me on 5/19/2012. I have since purchased a Toro lawn mower. On 10/6/2012, I decided to use the Husqvarna and the mower stopped running after a short period of time. I will not be returning it to Sears; I know what the problem is. Based on the number of problems with the same component and the constant returns and long periods of time without a mower, I would not recommend the purchase of a Husqvarna lawn mower.

After buying a new snow blower in Dec of 2016 I got home, I realized it was broken, I brought it back to place of purchase and was informed that I had to bring it to another town to have repairs done. After borrowing a truck to do so the guys at repair shop told me they dont do warranty work and gave me another number and address from another town, off I go again. After driving 45 min to another repair shop they also informed me that they dont do warranty work, they gave me another address. At this point Im getting really impatient so I call the place where I purchased the blower and told them I was bringing it back and for them to deal with the headache, 3 weeks later Im still sitting at home waiting for a blower that I didnt get to use yet.Now they are telling me theyre having trouble getting Husqvarna to pay for parts and repair so I called Husqvarna myself to see what was going on and customer relations told me with an attitude that it was my fault for bringing it back to the place of purchase and I should have brought it directly to them, 4 hrs away and that it was nothing they could or would do. I told them I should have bought a Honda and avoided this mess altogether and thats the last 1600$ they will ever get from me. Winter is almost done and I didnt get to use my snow blower once and its sitting at Canadian tire past 3 weeks and looks like its going to be another 3 weeks if they even fix it?

I bought a Z254F Husqvarna mower from Lowes right at 2 years ago. It served me well until recently. $3400 mower and 2 years of use is not good. But, I have a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty and lifetime warranty on the mower deck which along with the good name from manufacturer, I was sold. My mower deck is in very bad shape and nothing that I could do to be responsible for it. Husqvarna said it was a maintenance issue. I will enclose photos if I can. My John Deere GT 275 finally gave out after 15 years of reliable service. I was intending to buy the current equivalent until I saw the price. Decided to try Husqvarna GT52XLS Riding Mower - never had a Husqvarna product up until this point. Spent $3200 on the machine. First few mows it was great! Within the first 6 weeks I had it back to the shop - trouble starting/running. Within the first 6 months I had it back in the shop two more times for broken parts (I only mow my lawn grass with this machine - I have JD tractor/brush-hog for pastures). 3.5 years later, I have spent over $1500 in repairs (not including regular maintenance) and am taking it into the shop this morning for them to try to figure out why it hardly moves forward or backwards. If I had known than what I know now I would have never bought Husqvarna - and never will again. The dealer told me on my last visit the deck on their machines is much better than the JD - WHAT GOOD IS THAT WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND THE DECK IS JUNK??? Their products are very poor quality and I will not only never buy Husqvarna again, but will make sure anyone I talk to about tools and machines knows what a terrible experience I have had with Husqvarna. BEWARE!

After doing quite a bit of research, we decided to purchase a Husqvarna YTH22V46 for use at the mother-in-laws home. The unit was purchased on 4/27/14. The engine meter shows 11.4 hours of use. Yesterday, my wife called me from her mothers and said that the unit started, ran rough, then began billowing white smoke. She shut it down and called me. I went over to check out some things. Engine had fuel to the carb, spark to the plugs, correct oil level, engine compression (I checked with compression tester). It will spin over, but never so much as a cough in trying to start. Lowes didnt want to talk to me, since I was past the 30-day return limit for outdoor products. Husqvarna corporate didnt want to talk to me, just gave me the name of a Husqvarna repair facility in my area. It is actually a tool and equipment rental center. They told me to bring it in and they would look at it. I told them I only had a small car and naturally couldnt bring in a lawn tractor. The guy reluctantly said that they might be able to get it sometime next week, but would charge me $70/hour to pick it up and deliver it back. Husqvarna? You out there??... This would be a fine time for you folks to step up to the plate... not even 3 months old... only 11.4 hours on the clock... You there??????

Purchased Lawnmower new from local Lowes end of May. I only used it about 4 times to cut 1.5 acres of grass. Lawnmower stopped moving and was smoking. Wouldnt go forward or backward. Loaded it up and took to local distributor because I owned it 41 days and Lowes absolved themselves after 30 for floor model mowing equipment. Local distributor has mower for 31 days. Meanwhile, I have to pay someone $100/week for these 4 weeks to cut my grass. Fast forward to August 1, when I get Lawnmower back from repair and they explain they fixed the transmission. Cut grass ONCE, and the very next time I try to use the mower again, it has the EXACT same problem: smoking and will not proceed forward or backward. I call the Husqvarna customer service line to try and seek resolution in the form of a replacement Lawnmower or my money back. Rep says he cant issue a refund or a new mower, that I have to go through the distributor again. Meanwhile, it rains every day and I will have to pay someone twice as much to cut this high grass. What a terrible piece of equipment that I wasted $1900 on! I am so upset and discouraged by their laissez-faire attitude. Do Not Purchase this!

On April 1st, 2012, we purchased Tractor Husqvarna Model YTH24K48 from Lowes store 0730 without first reading the horror stories depicted in here. On 9/15/12, after 5 sorties and only 11 hours of operation, the drive belt broke. I called Husqvarna Customer Service (no-service?). The agent arrogantly told me to read the warranty, Sir, it specifically says belts & blades are not under warranty, blah, blah. I felt like a kindergarten pupil lectured by a mean teacher. At the end, I even apologized for my ignorance. I went to Lowes (0730/Douglasville, GA). What a difference! Sandra, the customer service agent, attentively listened to my plight and decided to call Sonja, the store manager, who also politely listened to my story. I got the belt for free and she apologized for Husqvarnas rude service. Once again I was impressed with Lowes customer service. I know I purchased a bad product ($2K+) but I dont blame Lowes. On the contrary, Ill continue to buy there any product without hesitation. Caveat Emptor. Its my fault; I should have done more research, i.e. on this site!

UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE. Purchased a 30/52 Husqvarna Ride on from Karls Mowers Burleigh Heads, cost almost $6000. Had 240 hours, had all of its required services on it when it started to play up. Went and seen Karl who said spray carby cleaner into the carby. You can buy it from Supercheap, that should fix it. Thats exactly what it did. Fixed it for good. Rang them up to say it has a problem and quickly got diverted to ring Husqvarna and tell them what has happened. Got told off by the Husqvarna service people for calling them on the number Karls gave me and was told that I should take it up with the person who sold me the mower or take it to the nearest approved Husqvarna outlet. Did that and they pulled the motor down and sent pics to Husqvarna. Yes you guessed it, not our problem they said. I have failed to do maintenance on it by the book, we can see that in the photos. How about the carby cleaner solution provided by Karls Mowers I asked. Not interested, as we said you have not done regular maintenance on the mower. But wait on I have done all the maintenance by the book. Can I send you the proof and claim my warranty? No you cant. We dont deal with customers of Husqvarna directly. You will have to go back to a dealership. Anyway our warranty only covers manufacturers faults. Mmmmm so even though I have serviced the machine by the book and it only has 240+ hours on it, you have no obligation whatsoever to recognize any warranty. Yes thats correct. You must have put an aftermarket air filter in it rather than a genuine part.So here I am now taking action against the big guy. Anyone else out there who has a similar story about being shafted on a warranty from Husqvarna, let me know. Im putting together a list of sites who I can take my case further to. This social media thing is great for letting people know about who isnt giving good service. Costly experience for me and costly for Husqvarna, Im sure. I bought my snowblower on November 20, 2014. Brought it home, did half of the driveway. Noticed that they put wrong bolts for handle, too long, next day warmed it up, seemed really loud. Then go to snow blow drive. Chute dont work. Look on garage floor find cotter pin and washer. In the meantime somehow the belt goes just spinning. Take to shop. The guy proceeds to explain only the belt. Belt was my fault, said I did not clean it properly, he proceeded to show me. Give me a break. The other problems, his worker must have been tired. I also bent the area where the shoes are. This all happened in 2 days. Not impressed. Considering I bought this blower cause its supposed to last twice as long as others. I think not. When I go back Im not paying a cent to have the belt put in. Mind you it probably wont work that way. Try to return it, well see?

I have or I should say had a Rider Model # YTH23V48. I bought it in Butler, MO 64730, from Young sales and repair. I bought it off of the showroom floor and paid more than I thought it was worth. I was dissatisfied from day one. It didnt have half of the deck clearance I was use to and it didnt serve my needs well at all. Previously I owned a Sears Craftsman mower, which was smaller horsepower and cutting width. That mower was ten times the Husqvarna was. It had twice the deck clearance and ran well for well over 14 years. When I went to get it repaired, I was offered to look over the New mowers at Youngs sales and service. I did not trade my craftsman in and left it there for repair and after several inquiries and two years later, I found that it was sold out from under me.Needless to say, I forced him to pay me for it. Bottom line is, after owning the Husqvarna for less than 3 years I am still paying for it and it now has a blown engine or so I have been told by Extreme Motors, the new Dealer in Butler, MO. Guess what? Their service was not any better. I have had it in there for a simple blown fuse and $400.00 later it had the wrong ignition put in, with no safety features anymore and they cut my headlight wires to stop the blown fuse problem. I gave them a piece of my mind just like I had given Youngs Sales. May I suggest that you make a better mow, along the lines of Craftsman or John Deere and do not let an unskilled shop operate in Butler furthermore. I am totally done with any Husqvarna product from here on and am seriously considering suing the company. That mower was a piece of junk from the start! I would also like to add that all I have is the card last four on which I am still paying ** and model number # Model # YTH23V48. I believe this company should reimburse each and every customer for whatever Husqvarna product they were unlucky enough to purchase. Absolutely terrible products and even worse service!

I bought the 55R21HVD mower because my daughter wanted to make money cutting the lawn, and my Honda that I am using again is not self-propelled. The Honda is 18 years old and has only been in the shop for routine maintenance. My daughter was complaining about how hard it was to use the mower. The self-propelled would not disengage when pulling the mower backwards. You have to lift the rear wheels off the ground, engage, and then disengage the drive unit to get the system to release. The knobs fell off; the clipping bag falls off. The wheel height will not stay in place so the deck drops down and scalps the grass. It was still under warranty so I took it 30 miles down the road to get it repaired, and the first time she used it nothing had been fixed. They didnt replace the missing knobs. Since then, the gas leaks someplace; the rear axle height shaft broke so when I welded it, I saw the poor quality of the welds someone had put on. The air filter case is broken; more parts have fallen off the bag, and this is the engine of all the powered equipment I own that I have to prime in the spring to get running. It has an auto choke system that doesnt work as well. The part that really upsets me is that you cannot talk with anyone who makes more than minimum wage. Husqvarna has no customer service. I have never seen anything so poorly designed. Do they want me to buy parts that are guaranteed to fail over and over? This is by far the work money I have ever spent. I wouldnt want it on my conscience if someone got hurt using a product that looks like it is made to fail.

Do not buy a Husqvarna zero turn lawn mower. It will nothing but trouble. I had my new RZ5424 for about 3 weeks and it broke down. But again it was under warranty? But another hassle. Now a year later the blades engagement system went bad and the blades will not even try to move. On June 10, 2008, I purchased a Craftsman/Husqvarna 19.5 HP/42 cut lawn tractor from Sears. Although I have owned it for eight years now, I have literally been unable to use it even once without the mower deck belt breaking. On average, it has cost me ~$40 for parts and labor to have the belt replaced then only to have it break again at the very next attempt to mow with it. The cost each time, when the repair shop charges for pickup and return delivery is more like $60. I have now concluded that the mower deck/pulley/belt design on this mower is very poor and certainly unreliable when compared to the Murray lawn tractors which I had owned and used over the past 25 years or so. In conclusion, this Sears/Husqvarna lawn tractor is worse than useless.

It had the same problem, gas coming out muffler and filter compartment. The first mower failed with 1.5 hours on the engine. The second mower failed with 1.7 hours on the engine. My yard size is 1.5 acres.

We bought a Husqvarna RZ46i Zero-Turn Mower at Lowes 4 years ago and its been nothing but a headache. Weve had carburetor issues, blade issues and the Smart Switch is always an issue. Today the Smart Switch popped, caught on fire and smoked. Luckily it didnt hit my hand. Now we cant start and use the mower unless we pay $250 for a new switch. Garbage is what I would call this machine and its dangerous garbage.

My Father-in-Law gave this tractor to me as a gift in Dec. of 2016. I was currently using a Craftsman 20hp 24 cut that I was perfectly happy with but decided to sell it and within a couple days it was gone. Still crying. The new Husqvarna made it to 5 hours before the transmission quit. Into the shop where the owners told me they didnt know if the company would honor the warranty because I didnt purchase it. So I loaded up, took it back to Lowes where I got one run around after another until I was told it was older than 30 days. I said it only had 5 hrs on it but they refused a refund or a trade. Back to the shop which had it for almost a month before repairs were complete. Warranty did cover tranny replacement. 10 hours in the Solenoid had to be replaced. 25 hours in and all three spindles had to be replaced. Not worth the hassle to try warranty. Im at 125 hours and one of the pulleys failed to the point the bearings were falling out of it. Husqvarna is hard to get ahold of, hard to work with and want everything done in paper. Ill never own another Husqvarna product, period! And I never shop at that big box store either.

I have this mower just over 1 year and it has spent six months of that in the repair shop! I went out to mow this evening and it will not start! Battery and starter is working fine; its just not starting! My last two mowers were John Deeres and they are still running and over twenty years old! The Husqvarna didnt have one year on it and I started having breakdowns with it!! As soon as it is repaired, this time it is going to get sold and I will buy a John Deere, Toro or Snapper! - Something with known reliability and not another pile of junk like this Husqvarna RZ3016 30-Inch!!

Let me start by saying that a warranty is like insurance - Its wonderful to have as long as you dont need to use it. I purchased my zero turn with a catching system attached, May 2014. During the second or third cut, apparently the chute clogged and stopped the blower fan from turning. This in turn made the belt that turns the blower break. I probably should have made a lot of noise at that point. However, I needed the mower and could not be without it for any period of time (I mow 4 acres), so I simply removed the catching system and used it that way. Apparently, when the belt broke, it did some latent damage to the spindle on which it rides. It finally gave out last weekend. Since it was still under warranty, I called Husqvarna and they told me warranty claims could not be initiated over the phone. An authorized dealer must personally inspect it. They gave me the names of the two closest to me.I took the parts in to one of them for him to inspect, but he would not help me in any way, shape or form because I did not purchase the machine from him. He told me the big box store I purchased it from was responsible for all warranty claims. He was sick and tired of the big box stores getting all the sales while he gets stuck with all the warranty work. In fact, he stated that he loses money on warranty work. Im still trying to figure that out. However, he was more than happy to sell me the parts at list price. I tried to write this experience as a review on the Husqvarna website, but they refused to post it because it did not meet their review guidelines. Big surprise there. The bottom line is - I will use this mower until it wears out, which eventually it will. When replacement time comes, I will look elsewhere.

I have a riding lawn mower thats in shop all the time. According to the specialist who has been working on lawn mowers for 20 years, my lawn mower had been dropped off a truck and then sold to me. The mower deck fell off after 6 months; front was bent, and now the frame is breaking off. He has never seen anything like this before. I contacted the company and filed a complaint and was told someone would call me back. Its been a week and have not heard from the company.

440 Chainsaw too hard to start WTF?? I bought this thing because I love my Husqvarna riding mower, but the first weekend it took me the better part of an afternoon and partially disassembling the engine and putting it back together again before I could get it to start. I get the impression that it was flooding with the at least 6 pushes of the fuel bulb but I tried it repeatedly with 1, 2, 3 and every other combination of pushes and sequences with no success. Im a strong 40 year old guy too and a former Marine, so dont tell me I wasnt pulling it hard enough or enough times. I can generally get anything to start. Im on the second weekend now and same thing, spent all afternoon trying and no success. It may be that my fuel/oil ratio is off, not sure. Or perhaps the fuel isnt high octane enough? So frustrating, but those are the next things to try. PITA.

I bought a new garden tractor/riding mower from Husqvarna via Amazon in March 2017. Within two months it would not go into reverse. I used it as is so I could care for the 10-acre garden/lawn/orchard/vineyard I maintain until the damn thing blew up, scattering parts everywhere. It was the transmission and the clutch. Under warranty. Called Husqvarna to find a local dealer for service (I live in an extremely remote area of the US) and was referred to one some miles away who refused to service my tractor because I had not bought it from him. Called Husqvarna to report this and to see what else I could do. Turns out there was a dealer in the town closest to me, which they had failed to mention first time. It sat in the shop for weeks as we waited for parts and/or argued with Husqvarna about the warranty. Finally got it back and guess what? Two months later the transmission did the same thing: No reverse and then no forward either. It has been in the shop for weeks while we wait for parts that are back ordered or whatever is the most recent excuse. In short, out of the 17 months that I have had ownership of this equipment, I have had only 4 months of full service. I have had three garden tractors over the years and never had these kinds of problems. I will never, ever buy a Husqvarna again and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Not only is the product inferior (plastic parts in a transmission?!) but the customer service is terrible. Perhaps I have a lemon (that can happen) but I will never take a chance like this again - and it cost twice what I am accustomed to paying! In truth, Id just like my money back so I can buy something that performs. And I have any number of witnesses to this so Husqvarna cannot dispute my claims.

Husqvarna riding lawn mower yth24v54xls - Ive had this mower for 2 years. Ive had to change out spindles on the mower deck twice. Ive had two more deck because the weld on the brackets broke. I have had to put on a motion drive belt and I am still having problems with the belt staying on. I get no response from Husqvarna nor the dealer of why or anything in that nature. Customer service sucks on their part of a company. If there was ever a lemon I have it and Husqvarna give no satisfaction. I would not buy another Husqvarna product again and I have four or five of their products now.

Have bought a Husq LT 1597 ride-on mower and for the past 2 years the cutter belt keeps running off the pulleys when the disengage lever is used. The mower shop comes, takes mower away for 3 weeks, and returns with belt in place and charges $300. This has been going on every 2nd month for 2 years. The belt when disengaged flops around and the engine pulley continues to rotate which pulls the belt up and off the rear tensioner pulley. The design here is really bad. The belt should be pulled off the engine pulley. Nope they disengage at the cutter plate. Drrrrrrrr, off the course the belt will continue to rotate as it is still in contact with the engine pulley. This is very dangerous as the cutters are meant to be disengaged but the belt is still thrashing around. Afraid this is the first and last Husq. The service sucks at $300 to put a belt on, of course this is not a warranty issue. Well it is a customer satisfaction issue.

Where do I start? First off its battery was weak. Most times, I would kill the battery starting the machine. Brought it to the dealer several times (I dont live in town so had to trailer it each time costing me gas and time). Eventually they said the battery was faulty and replaced it. Brought it home and it happened again. Brought it back, and it took two weeks to have it looked at, parts ordered, and get it back. Turns out they had to replace the whole wiring harness even though they didnt see anything wrong with it...the only thing left that it could be they said. By this time, the summer was over and I had only one more mowing for the season. Now to backtrack a little, I was having another problem with the belt coming off and had it to the shop at least twice to have it adjusted. I am quite capable of doing this myself of course but it kept coming off so...back to the shop. They put the belt back on and tried another tension adjustment. Got it home, mowed about 5 minutes and off it comes again. Didnt finish the grass, was pissed so I hauled the battery out and shoved it in the garage. This spring I raised the mower with my backhoe, put the belt back on and inspected the system. ** design, the belt is nearly round and as far as I can tell, it inverts and pops off. With only 5.6 hours on the machine the belt is in tethers from coming off. Good enough. Laid her back down and put the battery back in. Not a gig. Boosted it, not a gig. Again brought it back to the dealer. Turns out the flywheel had a crack in it. Another three weeks waiting with the grass now to my knees. I have a lot of area to mow. I have had this mower two years now and it spent the bulk of its life in the shop with 5.6 hours on it. I contacted Husqvarna and said I wanted a replacement machine as this one is a lemon. I cant begin to say how dissatisfied I was with the response. I got a complaints department who said that there was no one above them that I could talk to. What bull. What were they, the owners!? I run a resort here and I have a lot of equipment around that I have to depend on. I always buy new no I dont get other peoples junk and full warranty. I could have bought a cheaper brand and got a better machine but no, I spent $4000 on this piece of crap that has been in the shop for two years. They told me they couldnt replace it unless the cost was 70% of cost. What about customer service?

I have owned a Husqvarna Riding Mower LGT 2654 for 3 years and have had a number of problems with this product. First, I had problems with the Lowes in Gonzales, LA giving away my owners manual. Long story short, they had 2 mowers, one was outside and one inside. The manual outside was soggy wet. Both mowers sold on the same day but I had to get a trailer to get mine home. When I picked mine up later in the day, there was no manual. My real problem is with the mower. In the first year, I had to replace the deck belt once, excessive backfiring, and the engine stopped running. I discovered the push rods for the intake and exhaust valves came loose. Forget using the warranty - it took 3 months to get them to even look at it. I made the repairs myself. In the 2nd year, you better own a welding machine, deck wheel brackets x3 , replaced deck belts x2, deck adjustment rod fell off and went under the mower. The deck bent a blade and destroyed the rod. I replaced blades and rod. Now we are early in year 3 and I have cut about 8 times. I had to replace the spindle for the left deck pulley 2 weeks ago and yesterday I replaced the deck belt for the 3rd time this season (belt # 6). It still backfires but not as bad as before I made repairs to the push rods. As for the headlights, they are just for looks. What a joke. This mower has never had the power that I expected and it has never had an even cut. My old Murray had more power and cuts better. I just cant get parts anymore. I will never purchase another Husqvarna. If you choose to purchase one, you better be a mechanic, welder, and electrician. As for the couple of people who claim to have had no problems because they take such good care of their mower, well, mine got washed, oil changed, greased, and checked as required by the owners manual (once I got one). So consider yourself lucky.

I bought a Poulan Pro Lawn Mower that is made by Husqvarna and I have had problems since the first week I had it. The second time I went to cut grass, it would not stay running. So, I contacted the Badcock Furniture Store, wherein I bought it. And I was told that I was responsible for having it fixed. I let my son look at it and he tapped on side of carburetor with a screwdriver, and it left a few scratches on it. Still, he couldnt get it to run. I finally called the 800 number and was given a location where to take it. They would not work on it because they said they didnt work on items from Badcock.I was given another place and was told the same thing. I called Badcock again and was told to bring it to them and they would look at it and if they couldnt fix it, they would take it to their repair man. They could have told me that before. After a few days, I was contacted and advised that it would cost $82.00 to pick it up. First, they said it might be bad gas. Then they said it was trash in the carburetor and finally, I was told that they had to replace carburetor. If the carburetor was bad, it should have been covered by warranty. If it was changed just because it had scratches on it, I think I should have been called to see if I wanted to change it. I asked but was given the run around about why it was changed.

I bought a 46 inch/24 hp lawn tractor and also purchased the three year extended comprehensive warranty. The rep told me that with the extended warranty I was almost guaranteed to have no maintenance expenses. I have found out the emphasis should have been on the word almost. In less than 1 year the machine broke down (i.e. carburetor and other parts went bad, etc.). To their credit, the service Husqvarna used did pick up the machine without charge, but that is the only positive aspect of this experience. I was told it would take more than 2 weeks before they could even look at the machine (and of course it was spring-time and the 3 acres of grass was not in a cooperative mood). After nearly a week, the rep called to tell me all that was wrong with this nearly brand new machine and was sad to inform me that nothing was covered under the extended warranty (big surprise). More than 2 weeks later and out more than $500 for repairs, I was livid. I wrote a detailed letter to Lowes, where I bought the machine and to Husqvarna. In that letter I cited provisions in the extended warranty where I was sure the repairs were covered and asked that someone contact me to set up an arbitration hearing, as set forth in the maintenance agreement. It has been more than three months now and I have not heard from either Lowes or Husqvarna. Both companies obviously have two customer service standards - pre-sale they are all smiles and supportive, post-sale they want nothing to do with customers. I spend a lot of money annually at Lowes and I will never shop that store again. I also will never purchase Husqvarna products again.

Nov 2014 I bought the Husqvarna GT52XLS riding mower for $3299.95 from Eastern Truck Equipment in Boonsboro, MD because the local dealer would not be able to deliver for four months. Oct 2015 I took it to the Western Power in Needville TX which is a Husqvarna service provider because the mower did not move after a ½ hour of use. Service man said the belt was glazed and he replaced it under warranty.Feb 2017 I took it to Aztec Rental which is a different Husqvarna service provider because the mower did not move after a ½ hour of use. Service man said the belt was glazed and I paid to replace it. After the first use the original problem appeared and I took it back, and they determined that it was a faulty Hydro-Guard transmission. The transmission has only a two year warranty so they said it was not covered. To replace the transmission it would cost approximately $1400.00 plus labor which make it questionable the economic sense to replace it. The unit has only 47.2 hours of use.

I purchased a Husqvarna LGT 2654 garden tractor 5/17/2014. Big mistake! Just over 2yrs later and the transmission is shot. I have just under 2 acres of land and one hill on the side of my house. The guy at Lowes where I purchased the tractor told me I need a heavy duty tractor to do my yard which that is why I purchased a garden tractor. I talked with somebody from Husqvarna and two Husqvarna dealers because I get two different stories on the warranty. I was told the warranty is only good for 2 years and then someone else tells me 3 years. Both dealers told me they would have to contact Husqvarna and Tuff Torq the manufacturer of the transmission to see if warranty would cover transmission. Good luck on that one. I had to keep calling them because they would not get back with you. Then I was told I would have to pay around $1000.00 for a new transmission. I went with Husqvarna because I thought they were a reputable company and was in business for a long time. I guess they are just to big now to care about their customers. I will never purchase another Husqvarna product again.

I bought a Husqvarna Lawn Tractor lgt2554. My mower deck lasted about 6 months. I have to buy a used 1. I also bought the SNOW PACKAGE. My problem is that I went out to plow about 6-8 inches of snow last week and the right rear axle broke off. This is first time that I used this snow blade. I was on this machine about 5 minutes and the right rear axle broke. I called Husqvarna and explained what had happened. They told me that they buy different and assemble them. They had me call Tuff Torq - this is the company that purchases these rear axles for Husqvarna. The lady from Tuff Torq stated that Husqvarna builds these tractors with light duty rear axles. The manager stated that Husqvarna should have put bigger rear axles on these and that have had numerous complaints. I talked with VAN at Husqvarna he is the manager- they sent me to three repair facilities and everyone stated that this rear axle was too light for snow plowing. Then Husqvarna refused to repair my tractor.Im going down to Detroit Michigan in two weeks and Im going to meet with a large law firm. When I called the law firm for some information, they stated in the Consumers Reports that Husqvarna has a 1 1/2 approval rating on a 5 scale. The attorney asked that I call Husqvarna one more time for them to send me a new axle or for them to pay for repair of this tractor. Then he stated that he was going to check if he can start a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against Husqvarna.

This is the WORST garden tractor I have ever owned, period. Mine had 3 hours on it when, on a flat grass field, the Weldment Front Deck Suspension Husqvarna part # 574822501 separated from deck and started tearing (ploughing) the grass, while it was badly bent as the result of going backwards for just a couple feet. I stopped operating and removed the Weldment Front Deck Suspension. It costs $61 to $100 to replace... but Im bringing it to the dealer as I suspect my garden tractor could be a LEMON, because of the following additional problems:As mentioned before, the fabricated deck is very heavy and thus the tractor consumes a lot of gasoline and is hard to drive. This tractors deck shaves the soil on every small bump instead of adjusting and cutting the grass properly. No matter how high or low the deck is raised/lowered, it just does not work right. The deck goes straight on a slight slope and cuts the grass unevenly. Steering wheel is a joke and the covering on it slides down preventing me from concentrating on what I should be doing, which is mowing the grass! No... I must watch the steering wheel and the cover on it keeps on sliding down! Plus the steering wheel is not exactly round and is hard to turn. The entire tractor is hard to handle because it is too heavy for the engine and too awkward made and it gulps gasoline by a bucket! Prepare a lot of gasoline to mow your field with this one! The left (clutch) pedal is jerking already while idling. Something is wrong. I dont know what. The battery could not handle the starting and died. Took too long to start it and so I bought a new batter already! This is a major one - while mowing grass on a flat and level field (had 3 hours on it) the Weldment Front Deck Suspension Husqvarna part # 574822501 separated from deck and started ploughing or tearing the grass, while it was badly bent. I stopped operating immediately when I noticed that and removed the Weldment Front Deck Suspension. It costs $61 to $100 to replace... but Im bringing it to the dealer as I suspect my garden tractor could be a LEMON. My first one GT52XLS had to be returned as it was spitting lots of oil and the engine kept dying. I had quite an effort (struggle) trying to get a replacement! Now this is my second one, again multiple problems!Hard to start when cold. Much harder than my older, smaller Husqvarna. I overpaid for it by at least $250. Cost wise this product is unsatisfactory. Rearing this tractor is a joke, because the deck grass shoot protector is only made to go drive forward. When you drive backwards, the black rubber shoot protector keeps on jumping up and down like crazy unless you bend over and hold it up with a hand risking getting stones into your face. The whole tractor is awkward to drive and handles rather like a stump. And did I mention the consumption of gasoline on it is through the roof! No wonder it got a 5 gallon tank! The deck lift has weird and confusing numbering on it and is hard to operate. It gets stuck and I cant lower it or raise it to the max. It is just plain weird. And this is a new tractor with 3 hours on it! One of the wheels on the tractor is wobbling and it feels like it is going to fall off soon! The rear push or drive wire is so thin and looks so out of place with this rather large garden tractor. Why not designs something that looks and feels good? The entire thing wants to go straight when I turn. The deck drives it straight and down into the ground. It feels really weird operating this tractor, as if I was driving a stump and the steering wheel feels like it is badly dented and is wrapped with some soft material that prevents me from mowing the grass properly! This is a COMPLETE FAILURE of a product and I demand my money back or another product of my choice. HUSQVARNA refuses to replace it with a new one either. They say it is my fault that the weldment suspension separated from a deck. Yes! My fault for mowing grass with it! I should have kept it in the garage instead! Husqvarna told me to bring it to the dealership for repairs. How can you repair a lemon or something that was badly designed and made? This tractor is PURE TROUBLE! No wonder there are no reviews on it! People are probably returning these in droves!Buy cheaper, smaller ones with stamped decks. You will be wasting your money, time and health buying this one! I would avoid Husqvarna products. Buy Japanese or whatever. One good thing so far - the engine seems to be quieter. It is a Japanese engine after all. Shame on the Japanese for allowing to use their engine on this POS.Conclusion - no more Husqvarna products for me. I will try with Kubota or some other. When I had a Volvo and Saab, I had many problems with them and the design was so ugly. Sorry, but no more Swedish products anymore for me either. And in general, I stopped consuming whatsoever, cut my spending on food and cut other bills, only keep spending on my hobby. Im tired of increasingly crappy products and especially the Planned Obsolescence thats being widely practiced by todays corporations.

Bought a dealership model Husqvarna GTH26V52LS two years ago. Had several problems with it the first season. Now at the beginning of season 2 1/2 with 7 months of promised warranty left, they tell me my transaxle Hydro-Gear is leaking and it is a sealed unit and a new one is $1287.65. This is a mower that spends its down time in a heated air conditioned shop. It has only 132 hours on it. No I did not run over a truck or stump or something, it just puked all the oil out while setting over the winter. As usual, my local no service dealer could not help and Husqvarnas no service personnel said sorry and the manufacturer said its out of warranty. Seems that everything on the mower from the air in the tires to the paint job has a 3-year warranty but of course the hydro-gear has a two-year warranty. Stay away from Husqvarna as they are quick to sell you a product but they do not know you once you walk out the door.

I purchased Husqvarna GHT2754 garden tractor 9 years ago from a local dealer. The first year all was well. The second year a pulley bracket broke. Brought the tractor to the dealer for repairs. Was told the tractor was out of warranty so I would have to pay for any repairs. The third year a similar thing happened. Dealer told me he feels the mower deck was under-designed for its size, (54). Would have been nice to know before purchase. Repairs were made. Later that year or possibly the next the deck broke for the third time. Again this was a pulley mount. This time the dealer asked if I would mind if he sent it to a friend who has experience fixing farm equipment. A year passed with no problems but the next year the mower deck front mounting plate broke. I was so frustrated I had a friend fabricate a reinforced part and weld it. Last year the steering stopped working. When disassembled the plastic bearing had failed and wore through the steel mount. Again a new much stronger mount and bearing were fabricated and installed. Yesterday while installing a new drive belt I found the bracket for yet another pulley was cracked to the point it will need to be welded and reinforced as well. Each time I had a failure it cost me time and money to make repairs, hire someone else to cut my grass and even pay to have the dealer pickup the tractor to bring in for repairs. I wish I had kept better records and photos because I think I would be talking to a lawyer regarding this. I should have researched Husqvarna better prior to buying this tractor. I would have been far better off and money ahead, if I had hired a lawn service these past 9 years. My recommendation is to stay away from Husqvarna products unless you enjoy spending your free time rebuilding poorly designed and manufactured products.

I bought this Husqvarna LTD2243 ride on mower brand new from the local dealer. It had a few hiccups at the start. The solenoid that opens to allow the fuel to flow into the carby was defective. It was replaced with a new part obtained from the dealer. It then started much better when needed. The engine, a two cylinder B & S works perfectly with heaps of power. The worst part is that the steering is atrocious in the N degree. The steering assembly has no way to adjust the toe in or toe out. The only way to fix the steering is to take the mower to the dealer and have new parts fitted. I was told that the problem occurs from running into rocks, logs, posts or trees. Apparently, hitting things bends some mysterious part that only the dealer can repair by replacing most of the steering suspension assembly. It all came to halt when the steering was so pathetic that when one wheel was aligned in a straightforward position, the opposite wheel was turned out 3 INCHES! Steering was impossible. The mower was also four months out of warranty. I parked the mower in the garage and studied the situation for a long time. There is no tie-rod joining the king-pins and any adjustment was impossible. The king-pins could not be altered in any way at all. The steering is performed by two rods that are fastened to the king-pins and a quadrant plate. It is impossible to remove these rods without removing most of the assembly underneath the steering column. This in itself is a pain of a job. After studying the bars for sometime I cut them in half with an angle grinder using a 1mm wide cut-off disc. The front half, about ten inches long, was then removed from the king-pins. These bars are made from .625 inch diameter steel (16 mm dia.) I cut two pieces of 30 mm dia steel, 75 mm long. A 5/8 dia hole was drilled thru the steel but offset 5 mm to form a thicker section to fit two set screws into the ends. The steering bars were reassembled with the new sleeves, the wheels set up with 5 mm toe-in to check for working and alignment. I set off with the mower and the steering was not just perfect, it was better than when it was brand new. For some reason I have yet to discover, I had to cut an extra 22 mm off one of the bars. Through all this trauma, one wheel rim had split and was replaced under warranty. I read that the rims will split when the toe-in is grossly out of alignment. I have to fit two front new tires as they no longer have enough tread and are very vulnerable to being punctured. The steering can now be adjusted very easily if required but it still has problems on full lock. It works to my full satisfaction but I was only able to modify the steering rods because I have a metal lathe in my garage. I am a Toolmaker/Machinist by trade and I am a top grade mechanical grade engineer with many years of experience both in Australia and the US. This is one machine I highly recommend NOT to buy! It also has great difficulty in cutting long grass more than four inches high. Long grass needs to cut by reversing two or three times over the same strip to get the grass down to size. The cutting deck is fabricated and is very strong but it rattles and bangs non-stop. I have yet to find a way to stop this happening. In short, have nothing to do with this mower!

My husband also had problems with a Husqvarna LGT2554 purchased from Lowes. The rear axle broke. Seems like many others have had the same problem. Husqvarna or Lowes should do a recall and replace these at no charge. Otherwise, they will lose business because we had thought we were buying a good product but now we will not buy Husqvarna products.

From very beginning our 24HP YTA24V48 48 B&S INTEK V-TWIN with 3-year extended warranty would not pull upgrade once warmed up. The pedals also lock up and have to be stomped to work. Took to the same dealer twice during the first year. Each time they claimed they could find nothing wrong. Took to a different dealer. They said that the transmission is in a vinyl housing and that they have had many of these brought in with the same complaint. After two months, they said Husqvarna would not approve replacement of the transmission. After two more weeks they still told me the same. I picked the mower up and use only on level terrain. Bought a Cub Cadet for mowing the hillsides and it works beautifully. My three-year extended warranty was worthless.

Husqvarna LC221RH; purchased 7 weeks ago, less than 5 hours use, only used where the rider cant get. The self propel feature stopped working. The only option the company gave me was to drive 120 miles, round trip, to the nearest service center. If they make me leave it and return for pick up another day, that will be 240 miles driving. Issue #2 The front cover gets packed with grass and they couldnt tell me how to get it out. It appears the only way to get it out is to remove four bolts, every time. Its a design flaw for a rear wheel drive mower. They use the same body for an all wheel drive mower and they dont close off the holes in the front for the rear wheel drive mowers. Issue #3 They make trying to do the paperwork for a rebate like getting a root canal. They obviously do not want to honor their rebates, if at all possible. I have done hundreds of rebates, probably more, over the years and I have NEVER dealt with a company that was so difficult. Their website is ineffective. I will NEVER buy this brand again.

I was really disappointed with not being able to raise the level of the cut any. It meant it was absolutely worthless to me in the condition delivered. Here it sits... over a year later and never mowed a darn thing.

At 22 hrs on the 54-inch Zero turn mower, a piece of metal under the mower
At 22 hrs on the 54-inch Zero turn mower, a piece of metal under the mower deck came loose and got wadded up in the blade. The dealer was NO help at all, but referred us to a warranty center that told us it would be at least 8 weeks before they could repair it - so we found another warranty center in town here. The second repair center said it would be about 2 weeks to get it done -- THEN we find out that they had to send it to the ACTUAL repair department 150 miles away - then we found out that it would be 6 to 8 weeks before a Husqvarna rep could look at it to see if it would be warranted. We could not talk to the person at the repair station because he was out for the day. We then called Husqvarna customer service (LONG wait to talk to someone - AND - EVERY time we get transferred to another person). The person we were talking to called the repair department where the mower is (STILL) and again, the person to talk to there is out for the day. The one time we did finally talk to the repair department head guy (when we finally were told about the 6-8 week delay). He said that our mower was the FIRST one that they had gotten to work on since becoming a warranty shop (THAT is scary). The Husqvarna company says they will call me when they talk to correct person at the repair center. At this point, we are without a new mower for 4 weeks.

I bought a Husqvarna rototiller in 2005. I used it 4 times. On the 4th time, the wheels stopped turning. I took it back to where I bought it. I had it checked out and was told that the transmission was bad. I got the number for Tech Service (not easy to do) and was told, sorry, you should have used it more. My next stop is cyberspace and the BBB.

I use my lawn tractor for a multitude of tasks but it is very difficult to shift between summer and winter chores. Would be much better if it had quick releases and the process of changing mower blades could be done without high capacity lifting equipment. The mower cuts unevenly and is easily bogged down. The towing connection is made of cheap metal and is easily distorted. Lots of cheap parts and headlights burned out after just a couple of months.

I buy all brand new Husqvarna equipment when I opened my landscaping busine
I buy all brand new Husqvarna equipment when I opened my landscaping business 8 months ago. I paid for Lowe’s no hassle warranty, and thought that the nicest equipment from Lowe’s and extra warranty would start me in the right direction. Boy was I wrong! Lowe’s warranty is completely worthless. If they do anything at all it will be blame you for the damage, then charge you for the repairs that don’t even fix the problem. Husqvarna is no better, when I’ve given up on trying to have my equipment fixed again I asked to just get my money back for the garbage they sold me. Then they reply to me that they will only fix it and that’s if they feel that the damage is due to something that they deem under warranty! Wtf!? Really? I paid for an extra warranty that Lowe’s won’t uphold because it’s under Husqvarna’s warranty so Lowe’s isn’t responsible, and then Husqvarna’s warranty is that they will only fix what they feel like fixing if they feel like doing anything? Don’t bother with Husqvarna. Every piece of their equipment I’ve purchased has given me trouble and if you do definitely do not waste your money on the extended warranty at Lowe’s. It’s worse than the garbage you just paid for!

For the amount of money we spent on our Husqvarna YTH26V54 youd expect AT LEAST some quality in the product. However, from the battery constantly draining and needing to be jumpstarted to the belts needing to be replaced as well as a rod breaking. Not worth the money, the hassle, or headaches its provided. Id have better luck with a pair of scissors versus this lawn mower. Research before you buy and dont waste your money on something like this one.

Front wheels fell off because of weak clips after 12 months mowing regular sized lawn. Charged me for repair as stated not covered by warranty. Well you wouldnt cover badly designed rubbish like this with a warranty or you would go out of business. After 18 months axle on rear right tyre broke, guess what their response was. Never buy this crap brand again.

I purchased a new Husqvarna 580 BTS back pack blower August 11, 2019. It ran for approx 10 minutes and the coil went bad. Brought it into the dealer for repairs. Told it would be two weeks to repair. Two weeks came and went. I was told the part is on backorder and it would not be in until 2nd week in Sept 19. September came and went. October came and went etc. In November, I was told the part would not be avaiable until first week in January. Well you probably guessed by now... I was just told February 2020.Husqvarna would not back up their product. Their customer service was of no help. The person I was speaking with did not even know what a backpack blower is. I actually had to tell the customer service rep what it was and what it was used for. I now am the proud owner of a $550 paperweight with no repair date in site. Oh lastly, the icing on the cake... Husqvarna wants $15.00 to ship the part when it does come in. Incredible.

My girlfriend and I bought a new Husqvarna GT52XLS FOR $3,339.00 IN CASH on
My girlfriend and I bought a new Husqvarna GT52XLS FOR $3,339.00 IN CASH on June 21, 2013. The dealer did their set-up and delivered it that afternoon. I noticed that they did not fill the gas tank like they promised. So I filled it up and started to mow the lawn. About an hour of mowing, I started to hear a noise coming from the engine. I stopped and checked the oil and there was NO oil on the stick. I called the dealer to let them know and went down to get a qt. of oil from them. The mower took the whole qt. to put it between the lines.I went back and finished the lawn and the mower had 2 1/2 hours on the meter. I looked it all over to see if there were any leaks at all and saw none. Then I checked the oil again and there was NO oil on the stick again. I cleaned it up like I do every time I mow the lawn. The following morning, I went to the dealer and told them about it and asked them to replace it with a new one. They came by Monday morning to look at the mower and also found that there was no oil on the stick. Andy put in another qt. of oil and that filled it up. He then ran it for about 15 minutes to check for leaks or to see if it was burning any oil. He did not find any. Later that morning, they came by to pick it up so they could check it at the shop. That afternoon, the owner called and said that they couldnt find anything wrong with it from having it sit and run for 5.2 hours. On Tuesday morning, we went down to the dealer to see what they would do. The owner was in the back and did not come out to talk with us. Instead we dealt with one his employees. After 1 1/2 hours of my girlfriend talking to them, they said there was nothing wrong with it and that they would only stand behind the warranty on the mower. We asked for a new mower, a new engine (Kawasaki motor to replace the one that was in there), and we asked if they would fix any problem with the Kawasaki engine after the warranty ran out. Their answer was NO!!! So we asked to return it. They had to check with the owner who was in the back during the whole time. They gave us a check for $3,339.00, the same price we paid for it. When we took it to the bank that it was written on, we had to pay $7.50 to cash it.

I bought a Zero turn Husqvarna Z246 mower, had it 33 days, 6.3 hrs on the hour meter and the transmission went out on both sides. Called customer service and was told to take it back to Lowes and they would replace it with a new one. So I returned it back and the store manager asked if I had a return authorization number and I said she didnt give me one. So he calls Husqvarna customer service and was told that since it was 3 days past the 30 day return they would not authorize the exchange. So I spoke to the woman on the phone and she would not authorize it because it was past the 30 days even just by 3 days. So I asked to speak with someone above her and she said it would be a waste of my time because they would say the same and would not authorize the exchange either. So I asked for her name and employee number and she would not give me her first name and stated that employees are not given employee numbers - like I believe that. So I left with a new broken mower. I will never buy another Husqvarna product ever.
