Ram Trucks, stylized as RAM and formerly known as the Ram Truck Division, is an American brand of light to mid-weight commercial vehicles, and a division of Stellantis. It was established in a spin-off from Dodge in 2010 using the name of the Ram Pickup line of trucks.

The 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500 are capable of replicating semi-truck-like towing abilities, and they can also be outfitted to coddle passengers with their unrivaled luxury qualities. No other heavy-duty truck delivers the Rams' combination of ride refinement and upscale interior appointments. Of course, the Ram HD family doesn't forget its roots, either. Whether it’s the diverse trim levels and body styles or the multiple powertrains that range from a 410-hp Hemi V-8 to a Cummins diesel engine with up to 1075 pound-feet of torque, there's a model to fit most every budget and job description. With today's trucks being both high-tech and hard-working, the 2022 Ram 2500 and 3500 also offer a plethora of popular infotainment features and useful assists that help the driver tow a trailer and maneuver these massive machines in possibly unnerving situations like heavy traffic and tight spaces.

Product Reviews:

I bought my Ram 1500 new in 2015 with every tow option available. During the summer months (May-Mid September) I tow a 3,500lb boat about every other weekend... this was the sole purpose for buying this truck. This August while towing the boat the transmission failed to downshift (with a loud BANG) twice, then we got a check engine light, and the transmission reached 280* before being able to get off the highway. The truck was towed to the nearest dealer. The dealership told me there was no overtemp history in the computer and replaced just the valve body and filter. Ever since the repair the transmission regularly runs hot (up to 237* while not towing, usually in the 220s) and does a sporadic slip-bang shift.I opened a case with Ram Cares and got it into another dealership, they couldn't reproduce the problem. The mechanic told me that Chrysler only allows them to replace the valve body or the entire transmission under warranty (if the fluid is burnt), but he felt there was a problem with the heat exchanger for the transmission. When I picked up the truck the service advisor told me (after seeing my many pictures of the trans temp gauge reading 220s and 230s) that even though he can't do anything under warranty right now he thought the transmission would most likely fail before the powertrain warranty expires. This is a problem as I've already been stranded once while towing my boat. The Ram Cares rep said Chrysler stands by the dealership and my request for further diagnoses OR a warranty extension on the transmission has been denied... this to me means that Chrysler doesn't have confidence in the transmission... a warranty extension would only cost Chrysler money IF the transmission fails again.

A week ago, on June 25, 2013, I arrived home at 4 pm and left with a friend and was notified by my neighbor at 6:30 pm that my truck which had been parked since 4 pm was fully engulfed in flames. He held water from the garden hose on it until the VFD arrived to extinguish what was left. The end result is that from the cab forward, it is totally burned to the ground. With only liability insurance on it, it's a total loss with no idea how it caught on fire. The point of origin looks to be from the driver's side fender well area under the hood. I've heard numerous rumors of the fuse boxes shorting out, and/or the avs shorting out causing the fire. Thus far, I've not seen or heard of any recall from Dodge. Can anyone guide me to the correct direction for restitution for my truck that was in great condition with many more miles of dependability left in it or so I thought? Is Dodge going to stand behind their product that has been proven by other owners to have this problem and make good for it? Or just keep taking our money for vehicles with a lifespan of maybe lasting long enough to pay them off before just having to dispose of it?

I was experiencing some vibration in my truck so I was thinking the wheels may be out of balance so I go to the dealer. Guy says I need new tires so I'm like crap, OK. Buy the new tires and the techs messed up 2 rims WTF I'm thinking. Dude tried sending me on my way with 2 bad rims 1 bent bad. Anyway 4 new tires 2 new rims the vibration is still there. Service manager says it's the pinion nut. There is a recall on it. Wow. Another week without my truck, what will happen next?

2014 Ram Ecodiesel MPG - Went in for software updates. They also changed the catalytic converter and a sensor that were not listed in the computer as a update. Since this I cannot get over 22 mpg to 23 mpg and before I use to get 28 to 31 mpg. Wasn't VW playing with software to increase MPG???

So far great truck with diesel. Only draw back so far is the DEF system. It cost $800 to have the system flushed saying it was contaminated. Was very careful all the time. Truck only has 16,000 miles on it.

I love my truck, I have the Megacab Longhorn edition and it is extremely comfortable and beautiful. The Cummins is the best engine for work and has not given me any problems. An excellent truck for work and family.

Warranty Service: My 2011 Dodge Truck (VIN **) was taken to Crown Dodge, initially, for a shimmy at 70MPH (on cruise control). The problem was noticed when I decreased my average speed from 75MPH to 70MPH to save gas. The problem exists when ascending/descending long hill. The truck was taken to Crown Dodge 4 times; each time, something was done to correct the fault. However, after being told it was fixed, I drove it home on the I-44 turnpike, and the situation each time was the same. The final analysis was that it is the nature of the beast - that engine has such torque. A local independent repair facility assured me it was not the U-Joints. I took the truck to Central Oklahoma Dodge yesterday and gave the information above. Today, they tell me (Mark) that they cannot duplicate the problem. He (Mark) is going to take the truck on the freeway tomorrow to try to duplicate the problem. My question is, what if he duplicates the problem? Then what? If it is the nature of the beast, nothing can be done. I am unable/unwilling to drive a vehicle with a known problem. I converted to Dodge from Chevy/Ford at the suggestion of my close friend. This is my second Dodge. Please advise soonest. (I am unable to talk on the phone due to Cochlear implant. If you need me to call you, I have to use my CapTel phone.) Thank you.

I bought a new Dodge Ram Lodestar edition 4x4, 2012. It has around 6000 miles on it. At 35 mph, I can hear a whistling noise when I let up on the gas (not changing the speed). I can tap the gas pedal and make it sound like a person whistling and I can change the tone also. It has been at the shop for 3 weeks and they came back and said it’s road noise. When I dropped it off, I let a tech go with me on a ride - he could hear it and he did. He said it should not make the noise. Now I have a new truck I can't drive due to the noise it makes

2011 Dodge 1500 Truck Crew Cab, Dark Red - Real simple things: The brake pedal makes a popping noise when you push it down or let it up. I've now tried on 3 different times to get that fixed. This last time I was told they could not duplicate the problem. What a sorry excuse. The second time I was in their garage they could hear it and sprayed the brake pedal with some kind of lubricant that lasted for approximately 2 weeks, then the squeak came right back! There is a problem with the CD player, it skips towards the end of the CD songs - it rattles, and if you hit a bump, it ejects the playing CD. The mechanic claimed he could not duplicate this problem as well.So I asked Micheal (one of the service order writers) to get in the truck with me and I put in a CD less than a month old and showed him how it starts skipping towards the end of the CD. He claimed he heard it skipping, which of course it was. I am so tired of these people thinking I will just go away and live with the problems my new truck has... I guess! I've had the truck 6 months and it has a little over 8,000 miles on it. These 2 problems I have with the truck since the first day I drove it home. At this point in time, I no longer want them to fix the CD player. I want a brand new one! I don't think they know how to fix it since the problem is still there 6 months later! I sure hope you can help me.

We purchased a new Dodge Ram 1500, Big Horn Edition, complete towing package/navigation. It has been in the dealer shop, quite a few times, more than any vehicle I have ever owned, navigation issues, tires worn out in 15,000 miles, can’t even roll down our back passenger windows without having your eardrums broken, the noise is horrendous, they say it fine, don’t roll down window. First time we opened rear window on cab, wouldn’t close, got everything in cab wet, they finally replaced cable after the third time at dealer, and I let “Everyone” in the dealership know of my disdain for my new truck. I have ticking issues now in my engine, they say it's fine, it's not!!! Then they checked my in cab filter during oil change, and they broke my filter box, I found pieces on floor after the oil change, they didn’t tell me, I went right back in with pieces in my hand, and they said, "We will have to pull the whole dash out to fix/ replace it!" I still am furious about this, I duct taped it all. Paint is so thin, I have chips in paint all over front, and sides!!! I had a 2009 Dodge Ram, with the 360 cu in in it, had 320,000 miles on it, only repair was a intake gasket and transmission valve replaced... NEW Is Not Better... Paid over $55,000 for a piece of junk, will never own another Dodge Ram again, I am done with bad trucks, bad service... Very frustrated.
