2026 Mercedes-AMG GLS-Class

The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLS-Class is the flagship performance SUV in Mercedes-AMG’s lineup, combining full-size luxury, three-row practicality, and high-performance engineering. It delivers the comfort and space of a premium family SUV while offering acceleration and driving dynamics that rival many sports cars.

Overview and Positioning.
The 2026 AMG GLS-Class sits at the top of Mercedes-Benz’s mainstream SUV lineup as the high-performance version of the GLS. Often described as the “S-Class of SUVs,” it focuses on combining luxury, technology, and performance in one large vehicle.

The AMG GLS 63 is currently the primary AMG variant and is designed for buyers who want maximum power, advanced luxury features, and the practicality of a three-row SUV.

It competes with other high-end luxury performance SUVs while emphasizing comfort and AMG driving character.

Design and Exterior.
The AMG GLS-Class features a bold and commanding design.

Its large body, upright stance, and wide proportions give it strong road presence. AMG-specific styling includes a distinctive grille, aggressive front bumper, larger air intakes, quad exhaust outlets, and available 23-inch wheels.

The design balances elegance and aggression, maintaining a luxurious appearance while clearly signaling its performance capabilities.

Recent updates have introduced revised lighting elements and refreshed styling details that modernize the GLS without changing its overall identity.

Interior and Comfort.
Inside, the AMG GLS-Class offers one of the most spacious and luxurious cabins in the AMG SUV lineup.

The interior features premium materials such as leather, wood, aluminum, and available carbon fiber trim. AMG-specific details include sport seats, a performance steering wheel, and unique digital performance displays.

Three rows of seating come standard, with configurations for either six or seven passengers. Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats are available, and rear passengers receive generous legroom and comfort features.

Dual 12.3-inch digital displays dominate the dashboard, providing infotainment and instrument functions. Advanced ambient lighting and premium audio systems further enhance the luxury feel.

Overall cabin comfort is one of the GLS-Class’s strongest attributes.

Powertrain and Performance.
The 2026 AMG GLS 63 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a mild hybrid system.

It produces approximately 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The mild hybrid system can provide additional electric torque assistance during acceleration.

Power is sent through a 9-speed AMG automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes approximately 4.2 seconds, which is extremely quick for a full-size three-row SUV.

The V8 engine delivers the deep exhaust sound and strong character traditionally associated with AMG vehicles.

Driving Experience.
Despite its size, the AMG GLS-Class offers impressive driving dynamics.

Adaptive air suspension and AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL help reduce body roll and improve handling while maintaining excellent ride comfort.

Drivers can switch between multiple drive modes, adjusting suspension firmness, steering feel, throttle response, and exhaust sound.

The all-wheel-drive system enhances traction in all weather conditions, making the GLS highly capable in rain and snow.

Although it is not as agile as smaller AMG SUVs, it remains surprisingly composed and responsive for a vehicle of its size.

Technology and Features.
The 2026 AMG GLS-Class includes extensive technology and safety features.

The infotainment system supports smartphone integration, navigation, voice controls, and customizable displays. Performance-focused screens allow drivers to monitor vehicle data and driving modes.

Driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, parking assistance, and automated emergency braking.

Mercedes-Benz is also preparing more advanced software and infotainment upgrades for future GLS updates, including expanded AI integration and updated digital interfaces.

Practicality and Cargo Space.
The AMG GLS-Class is highly practical for a performance luxury SUV.

Its three-row configuration provides seating for large families or groups, and cargo space is generous even with all seats in use. Folding rear seats significantly expand storage capacity.

The high seating position and large windows also provide excellent visibility.

Despite its large dimensions, advanced parking systems and cameras help make it easier to maneuver.

Fuel Efficiency.
Fuel economy is relatively low due to the powerful V8 engine and large size.

The mild hybrid system improves efficiency slightly and enhances responsiveness, but performance remains the priority.

Owners should expect premium fuel requirements and higher operating costs compared to smaller SUVs.

Market Perception and Competition.
The AMG GLS-Class is often marketed as the “S-Class of SUVs,” though opinions vary among enthusiasts and luxury buyers. Some praise its blend of comfort and practicality, while others see it as more closely related to the smaller GLE platform.

It competes with vehicles such as the Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade-V, and BMW Alpina XB7.

The GLS stands out by combining German luxury refinement with strong AMG performance characteristics.

Pros.
Extremely powerful V8 performance.
Luxurious and spacious three-row interior.
Advanced technology and safety systems.
Strong all-wheel-drive capability.
Excellent ride comfort for a performance SUV.

Cons.
Very expensive, especially with options.
Large size can make city driving challenging.
Fuel economy is poor.
Less agile than smaller AMG models.

Final Thoughts.
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLS-Class successfully combines luxury, practicality, and high performance into one full-size SUV. It offers the comfort expected from a flagship luxury vehicle while delivering the speed and character of an AMG model.

I purchased a 2015 S Class Sedan on Nov 11, 2016 with 18,500 miles on it. A week later I started to notice the transmission downshifted hard from 5th to 4th. My car has been in the shop going on 14 days and this is after having it looked at once already. I am told today, that updating the software did not work which it took Mercedes 13 days to tell me that after already doing it over a month ago the first time. So, it appears it is a guessing game now, they say it may be the valve body or it could be this etc... nevertheless, it is in disrepair. I am currently driving a C300 loaner and while I am appreciative of the loaner, I did not buy a C300. I am making the payment for the S Class. The worst part is, they cannot tell me when they will have my car back to me.

I want to purchase a duplicate of my C280 1999 Mercedes Benz key, which I lost. In Bolivia, the Mercedes representative, Ovando **, says they cannot sell me the key duplicate and give me the full service, because I bought my car to the previous representative. They can only take care of the cars they sold. I bought my car from the official representative in year 2000. I kindly request your help, so that I can purchase the car key. Since I lost the car key of my Mercedes Benz, I want to find a way to solve the problem and get a duplicate. I have three children, and I am having too many problems, since I do not have transportation. Please reply ASAP.

I bought my 2016 C300 Mercedes approx. six months ago. Three months after I bought it I started hearing a beeping noise that is coming from the engine when its turned off. The beep last 2-3 seconds and happens every 6 seconds. The dealer initially told me theyve never heard of something like this but after I showed them my google search they said theyd look into it for me. Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. We purchased this Mercedes and expected to be getting a well-built car. We are very disappointed in the quality and that Mercedes expects us to just live with this noise because its normal.

First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first took place. I just want to share my experience with everyone so that people can be aware when purchasing a Mercedes Benz. I plan on speaking out on every single forum out there, and if it can help even one person, then I will be satisfied. I live in Los Angeles and purchased a brand new E350 in 2007. Just a few month after the purchase (around 10,000 miles on the odometer? ), I was driving down the freeway when the car came to a sudden stall. The engine completely died, and I could not get it started back up. I was in the second lane from the inside, and the freeway was full of drivers speeding at 70-80 mph. Unable to get out of my car, I watched vehicles behind me careening to a sudden stop or jerking to rapidly change lanes. It was truly a frightening experience.I called 911 to report the incident then AAA to get a tow truck. The CHP arrived within about 15 minutes to help divert traffic away from my car as I was at a dead stop in the middle of a 5-lane freeway. The officers alerted me that it is too dangerous to stand still in the middle of the freeway and that they needed to immediately move my car off the freeway. Since they didnt have towing capability, the only way for them to do that was for them to push the car from the back with their squad car while I steered towards the nearest exit. Without getting too dramatic, I will say that this was probably the most frightening experience of my life. Luckily, no one was injured, and the car just suffered a lot of scratches on the rear bumper as a result of it being pushed by the police car.I wrote to MBUSA and explained the entire experience plus access to the police records. They offered absolutely no sympathy. They didnt even offer a nice gesture by offering to fix the scratches which would have cost approximately a few hundred dollars - pocket change to them. They didnt see any seriousness to the incident. I could have been seriously injured, and I could have caused serious injury to other motorists on the freeway that day. The message that they were sending to me was clear: I am an isolated incident to them, so I do not matter at all. Theyre a big, powerful company with millions of other buyers, so of course they dont care. How nice. Im the familys third generation of MB driver, and I will most certainly be the last.

As far as roadside, they use Allstate Road Service when you are not close to 30 miles of nearest dealer. Allstate does more damage to vehicles than good. ****BUYER BEWARE**** I made the serious mistake buying the 2019 mind you, brand new 16 test miles on it, I thought I finally got my dream car in the past. I did read and hear about buyers of MB who had a lot of complaints (not about the A-220 in all fairness here) but I was doing a lot of wishful-thinking and giving the Benz the benefit of the doubt and a chance; things were going great, it was babied, pampered, driven gingerly, and never rained on at all; well going home one late eve with 580 miles to note, I got a message saying faulty right passenger airbag, service needed... I said WTF?!?! W/ only 580 miles on it?!?! The next day since it was too late, I didnt play the phone game, I took it to the dealership where I bought it. MB of Motorworld in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Well the dumb-act kicked in when I went to the service counter, they did assist me, and tried ordering the part after the techs ran the scan code, telling me, We will have this here tomorrow and Monday at the latest be fixed. (Total BS!) Even though I did believe them; they did issue me a loaner that I drove for nearly 2 weeks Ill get to this here. Here comes Monday. I was told the wrong part was ordered. Someone else told me its on backorder, I said, Dammit. They cant even lie straight! So MB customer service rep Ralph BTW promised me the sun, moon and the stars with compensation, a buy-back option, or trade assist to start over with a different a 220===talk is cheap, empty promises, and NOTHING in writing, go figure! (Keep in mind were talking about a brand new Benz here, just bought and put 580 miles on it, now in for service.) The best part (not!) I was told the part would take, ready for this....2-4 weeks from Germany!!!! Are you freaking kidding me? I said; my car was by then at the dealer not moved, not reparked. Just left to bake in the 90 temps sun for almost 2 weeks! I drove the loaner more than my own car (not by miles) just in general and this made no sense to me esp being so new I was going through this and NO efforts by MB to help me etc; I was then told by Ralph almost week 3 BTW, MB wouldnt do a trade assist or buy out, mayyyybe compensate me some other way..Woww I said, thanks a lot MB for nothing! However in PA here the lemon law states a vehicle in service longer than 30 days is a lemon. I said, So this happens at 580 miles babied by me, whats in the next 580 miles then?? So I took a small hit, and traded out, I couldnt be happier now since I got the last laugh MB. =) This was the other car I had my eye on in the running, got it after all, never again M Benz. Thanks for nothing, zero trust, ill I was attempting to do, was buy a new car from you.

Loved the comfort, the handling, the speed and of course the luxury of a Mercedes Benz SL500. The convertible was spacious even with a retractable top. The seats were very comfortable and the interior actually suited passengers and drivers of all shapes and sizes comfortably. I loved the safety features but I also loved that many were intrigued enough to learn more about the car and the comfort of the ride. However, I dislike the sticker price. But I enjoyed the driving experience. I was confident at every moment that I would have a safe ride, yet sporty and fast. It was a bucket list dream come true item to check off!

About 8 months of owning this something is wrong with the turbo, dropped this off at Mercedes Melbourne FL after making an appointment 3 weeks out and this still has not been looked after 5 weeks now. Do your homework on service centers prior to buying, in Central FL there are only 3 service centers for sprinter. Go with a ford or Ram for an rv cassis they have hundreds of services centers!

I bought my car E350 4matic 2012 last year around April and a few weeks ago, my car started making a tapping noise. I took my car to the closest MB dealer and after a day or two, they finally found that the car had a wrong size wrist pin in the piston. They offered to change the 6 pistons and the connecting rods all together. I have friends who build engines and flip cars from scratch, so I ran the issue by them. I even had one of my friends to talk to the technician adviser and pinpointing the real issue. At first the dealer was telling me that there is an oil lash in the pistons. After my friends talked to them and corrected them that there is no oil lash in the pistons and the tapping noise can only come if the wrist pins are not the correct size. Since the car came with defective parts and they changed almost the engine, I believe the value of my car has diminished and the MBUSA should compensate me at least by extending the warranty. After several phone calls and emails, someone in the name of Joe called me from the MBUSA and told me that he will talk to the dealer and the service adviser; and he will get back to me. So I got a call yesterday and result was/is disappointing. He told me that MBUSA did not grant any extended warranty and that is why the original warranty is there for. My next step is to file a complaint to Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau Virginia. Did anyone else have any issue similar to mine on their E350? I am certain my next car is not going to be a Mercedes Benz. What would you guys do if you were me? Thanks for your inputs in advance.

Thanks to diminishing quality and outrageous dealer charges, depreciation on these cars is huge. If you avoid the hand grenades like air suspension, brake issues (2003-2006), exploding early 350 motors, and are prepared to never go near a dealer, you get an outstanding low mileage used car. I have a 1999 E320, purchased in 2009 with 45K miles, well under $10k. I now have 82k on it, and apart from a little A/C work, it has been trouble free and a pleasure to drive. Yes, oil changes are expensive at about $100, but are only required every 12k miles. I also have a 2007 CLK350 Cabrio, purchased last year with only 24k miles for under $20K. I have put about 10K miles on it so far, and it is as reliable and pleasant as the E320.

I bought a 2003 Mercedes E500 in early 2015. Thought I was getting a good deal on a used luxury car with less than a 100k miles. In less than a year I have spent a little over 3 thousand dollars in repairs. And that is going somewhere other than the actual dealership which would of cost me 3X as much! One of the main reasons I bought a Mercedes was because I thought they were supposed to be reliable cars. The only thing I have been able to rely on is that I will be in the shop every other month. On a positive note I took it in to the dealership for a fuel system problem that Mercedes were covering under an extended warranty and the service was great. They treated me very well, fed me and made me comfortable. And the car is a dream to drive when its working but I have a problem with the esp and some brake sensor now that is gonna cost me 2 grand bringing up the cost of repairs to near what I paid for the car in the first place in less than a year. There is no reason for anyone to buy a used Mercedes. The only people who can afford the repair costs of a Mercedes are the people who can afford a new Mercedes and if you can afford the repairs on a used Mercedes you should just buy a new Mercedes. Used Mercedes should just go straight to the junkyard so poor people like me dont get tricked into buying these money pits.

I bought a 2006 S65 AMG 2 years ago with 72000 miles. This car has been nothing of a money pit. I found the original owner and he supplied me with receipts for repairs that totaled $7000. Within the first few months owning this, I had to replace the front strut... $3000. One year later, the ABC system hose failed draining all the fluid and destroying the pump. Cost to fix this? $10000. I did get a Vehicle Master Inquiry from the dealership and this car has been constantly inside the dealership. For a $172000 car when new, this thing is a MAJOR embarrassment for MB. I later did research only to find other horror stories with Mercedes and their top of the line S series. I understand routine maintenance is needed on these, and was done on mine. Doesnt matter. They are still very unreliable cars. The Best or Nothing...? LOL!!!

This is my 2nd ML320, Yr. 2000, 63,000 miles. The first was a 98--a LEMON.
This is my 2nd ML320, Yr. 2000, 63,000 miles. The first was a 98--a LEMON. Last week a man was checking the oil, and the hood suddenly dropped. Luckily, I was standing there and stopped it from decapitating him or causing a brain injury. However, it did cause a serious blow to the head. The Mercedes dealer in Tucson, AZ said this was a known danger. The springs/shocks wear out. Repair would cost $200. Mercedes Benz is negligent in failing to warn owners of this known danger, and knowing the danger exists, in not installing a security rod (as I have in my 87 Honda Prelude) in case the springs/shocks fail. Someone could be killed or decapitated if this heavy hood dropped on them. The Tucson Mercedes dealer was unwilling to lower the repair price from $200, so I took it to the mechanic who has kept my 87 Honda running for 28 years. He replaced the springs/shocks in the hood for $25 each, total $50. At the same time, to prevent a fatal accident or head injury, if the rear tailgate springs/shocks should fail, he replaced them for $30 each, total $60. So brand new shocks for both the hood and tailgate cost a total of $110, rather than $200 for only the hood as quoted by MB.In addition to this life-threatening problem, the sunroof does not work, the locks dont work, the rear windows get gummy if theyre rolled down, the plastic cover over the inside light on the tailgate falls off whenever we open the door, the automatic seat adjustment doesnt work, the air conditioner compressor died, etc. We are terribly disappointed in this car and in Mercedes for not standing behind their product, but rather charging exorbitant prices for repair. This is the second lemon weve had from Mercedes. Both were purchased NEW from the Tucson Mercedes dealer.

We had our car serviced here and when we got it back it CAUGHT ON FIRE and so it begins. Trust me... Its worth the read. :) Heres the situation: A couple of days before Xmas, our car shut off in a parking lot and wouldnt turn on even after roadside assistance came and we hooked up a new battery. We had it towed to Autohaus on Edens, Northbrook Il based on a recommendation and because it is a Mercedes dealer and we wanted trustworthy service. They did a diagnostic and had a hard time figuring out the issue.Tom ** was very communicative and explained they were checking the battery and all the electronic systems etc but it was taking some time. Finally, we go word that they had identified that it was the EIS system. They replaced that system, completed the installation and they did a multipoint inspection to identify potential issues as well as confirm that the battery, cables, mountings etc. were inspected and were AOK. This took 10 days.We got the car back. It CAUGHT ON FIRE while were were driving. The fire was where the battery is located underneath the passenger seat with flames and smoke billowing up. There was no indication anywhere on the dashboard that there was a problem. Thank god We were not on a highway and that one of my kids or spouse werent sitting there when this happened or we could have been killed or badly burned. Luckily it was snowing a boatload and we got the fire out by shoving snow on it and when the smoke cleared, we noticed the red safety plate that typically covers the positive connection had been removed and was sitting placed in the back of the passenger seat. We took pics, contacted our insurance who told us to contact the dealer and let them know once we had a cause. We contacted Tom ** at Autohaus on the Edens and explained the situation. He advised us to have it towed back there so they could do an investigation. We had the car towed up there and he called a couple of days later and stated that they needed us to authorize $500.00 to pay for a further diagnostic because they had to pull up the seat to determine the cause of the fire. He believed it was an issue with something shorting out the battery but needed confirm. We agreed to the diagnostic. He commented that they never touched the battery the first time we brought it in. We reminded him (we have his voicemail) that when we brought the car there the first time, he let us know they couldnt figure out the problem as they had tested the battery and it was working fine. They also completed installation of the battery (he confirmed) and finally they provided us with a multiple point written inspection report where they specifically stated that they inspected the battery, cables, mountings etc. and all are AOK. We again brought up the missing red safety cap that should have been covering the positive wires and he stated that doesnt matter and isnt the issue. We asked if the exposed wires that should have been covered by the cap could have caused the fire if they sparked and he said he wasnt sure but would know more once they did a full investigation. We waited and then received a report where no diagnostic was included but rather they just supplied the cost of the damage and repairs for $4600.00. Included in this report was a new multipoint inspection where they stated that they inspected the battery, wires, mountings and cables and all were AOK. Except that the battery had melted as had the connecting wires and cables. WHAT? Hmmmm. He followed up with a phone call and stated that they thought the battery was faulty and we should go after the battery company. We asked why that wasnt listed as a diagnostic he said he couldnt legally state that but we actually paid 500.00 to figure out the cause and we would need that to go back to the battery company. We also asked bout that multipoint inspection stating all was ok with the battery, cables, mountings etc. When, in fact, they had been in a fire and all was melted/seriously damaged. What we learned from Tom ** is that these inspections are a courtesy and they may or may not actually do them! What?I brought my car to Mercedes because I trust they do what they said they did. I trust their recommendations. It turns out that they dont actually do the inspection. These two reports confirm this fact. Which brings me back to the first time around. If they had actually done the inspection, wouldnt they have either picked up on a loose wire and/or the missing plate? Seems reasonable. Note to self: They do NOT do the inspection, just say they do.We asked him to document the faulty battery and then we got another report where the multipoint inspection reflects that the battery, cables, mounting etc. are NOT AOK and also NOT documenting a faulty battery as the cause but instead identifying some loose wires by the positive battery cable (that would have been covered had the cap been on or picked up if they actually did the inspection) added 250$ to the bill and sent it over. 4900.00 and no cause or accountability. At this point in the conversation, we contacted the head of service Jim ** who had Tom call us back because he was too busy. You can imagine our frustration! The worst part is Tom was very polite and kept saying we want you to have a great experience and be happy. Not possible at this point. We brought our car here in December and spent 1800.00. Got it back and then it CAUGHT ON FIRE while we were driving! We bring it back again and get a huge runaround with no clear cause, conflicting reports, phone calls that conflict what was written and all the while they have our car as a hostage! Finally after 2 weeks without a car Jim ** agrees to talk to us. He does not appear to have an understanding of the details to date and the gist is he asks: What do you want? Do you want me to pay for this? Cause that isnt gonna happen. Call your insurance and have an adjuster come out. We dont want to push a claim on them but thats why you have insurance. Once we figure it out we can get you loaner and I can cover your deductible.Progress! I contact my insurance to explain that we are at an impasse and give them the details. They agree that this sounds very suspect and they get involved (thank God) but due to Covid it will take them a few days to get out there. I call Jim back with the update and he says great but no deal on the loaner. There is a catch. I can get a loaner once insurance agrees that they will pay for it...interesting.... The next day, Tom ** calls to reinforce that we will NOT get a loaner until insurance agrees to pay. He ends the convo with we want you to have a great experience. Seriously? (Note: if you have a Mercedes, get rental insurance with your car insurance!)Finally insurance and Autohaus strike a deal that is less than what they charged us initially at $4200.00 and Tom calls to state that it will take them another 7-10 days but we can have a loaner as long as we bring it back every 3 days... no exceptions. What?! Has anyone ever gotten a loaner for longer than 3 days from Autohaus on Edens? I know I have from Mercedes downtown. We live 40 minutes away; we have 4 kids; We have been without our car for 2.5 weeks (due to what appears to be negligence). We never got a loaner the first time either....oh and we had our car serviced there and then IT CAUGHT ON FIRE which is why we need a loaner! This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!When we go to pick up the car, there is yet another report differing from the first 4 and they have added charges for additional parts but dont know what the parts are. Literally a change for parts unidentified. They told us to pay the difference and that they had contacted our insurance who would reimburse us except...wait for it...not accurate. And regarding those outstanding charges that we paid for? They will get back to us on what they were for. Still waiting. What about MERCEDES USA you may ask yourself? Well we also involved Mercedes USA and spoke with Susan, Executive Referral Manager at HQ in Georgia and she is supposedly investigating to see if there was a car malfunction but dealerships are basically franchises and they have no involvement AT ALL! What? They said this type of situation has nothing to do with them. Also she indicated that if we got the car fixed, they may not be able to investigate which is ridiculous. You would think Mercedes USA would want to inspect what happened when a Mercedes Benz catches fire at the battery under the passenger seat while being driven and there is no indication other than the flames and smoke engulfing the car that there is an issue? And that this occurred immediately after having it serviced at a Mercedes Benz Dealership. I guess not. It is so far down their list that after we submitted the photos and took the time to fill out all the information she has not responded in any way. Thankfully no one was hurt or killed or this would be a very different conversation. How did it end? We got our car back and we got the battery back as well. We are waiting to hear whats next from Mercedes. It was too big of a deal to not leave you with the details so there you have it! Dont go to Autohaus on Edens and if you do: know that the multipoint inspection isnt real. To be quite frank do yourself a favor and dont buy MERCEDES. If you want a German car...I would say look to buy and Audi or a BMW.

We put in two vehicles in for repairs. Both were charged $310 each for diagnoses. Both were not fixed first time around. They did not even test drive the vehicle before the handed it back. Both vehicles charged for parts that were changed which did not fix the original problem. I would not recommend using this repair outlet unless you have deep pockets. Simple turbo charge problem ended up costing $11000.00. Worst workshop experience of my life. Same work shop couple of years ago did the brakes on my wife`s car and forgot to tighten the wheel nuts and my wife nearly lost the front two wheels on the freeway. Only stopped to check because the car was making too much noise which saved her life.

I was so disappointed when my husband gave me a keychain purchased at Mercedes Benz for Christmas to go with my new car, an E400. He bought it because it looked like it was Made in Germany. When I removed the tag, Mercedes had covered up the MADE IN CHINA sticker. I for one, refuse to purchase anything MADE IN CHINA, so I returned it. I believe Mercedes should show where their products are manufactured. There are a lot of us in the USA that do not want to continue to provide our hard earned capitalistic dollars to a communist country. Feeling cheated and deceived.

WORTHLESS 2019 Mercedes Benz C300. Purchased a brand new 2019 Mercedes Benz at the end of July 2019 with only 20 miles. The car stopped accelerating and was towed to the dealership Oct. 4 2019. The fuel pump was replaced, there were loose bolts/wires, the trunk latch was fixed and for some reason they replaced the charge air cooler which had nothing to do with the original issue. Picked my car up around 4:30pm October 10th, drove it 40 minutes home and the Low Coolant Warning light comes on. Immediately notified the dealership and my car was towed BACK to the dealership around 8am October 11th. They first stated that I needed a new water pump but then said that there were wires loose in the dashboard so they removed the dash and fixed it.While my car was in the care of the dealership about 60 miles were added onto my leased car and they ran over a nail. So my tire had to be replaced also. Finally received my car back around 4:30pm after work on October 16th, drove 30 minutes and the low coolant light popped on yet again. Immediately notified the tech and he stated that someone will pick my car up Friday October 18th. No one came to pick up my car and now I have an scheduled appointment for Tuesday October 21st. During this time, I have spoken to the managers at the dealership which directed me to file a complaint with Mercedes Benz and I did.I spoke to two customer reps which the first rep named Jack hung up on me. The second rep escalated my call to a manager named Roman whom said he would call me back but never did. It’s ridiculous that I am held to paying my money for a car that I have not had for three months on top of the fact that it’s been out of my possession for most of the month of October, added mileage that I will never get back on a leased car and continuous problems on a NEW 2019 Mercedes Benz.

Day one I proceeded to get the car I’ve always wanted, C300. I purchased a package to take care of the car in case anything happens. I found out 1. The package did not include all I was told, and 2 - I was paying for a feature my car never had. The GPS (send to Benz) was removed and three service places could not figure out what happened to it. “It’s somewhere in cyberspace” is what I was told. I then tried to renew my registration in another state; I needed the title and power of attorney, and Mercedes sent a copy.. the DMV needed to original paperwork. Twice copies were sent. I RS now almost May 2020, been waiting to register my car since March. I’ve been paying for a rental for well over a month. Now with the Covid-19 epidemic DMV is closed. If Mercedes would have sent the documents in the first place I would be registered already. Then I was told I would have to pay over five hundred dollars for them to take back my lease car.. because I refuse to lease or purchase another Mercedes. My dream has been shattered and I’m extremely disappointed with Mercedes. When I ask to speak to a manager it never happened and the customer complaints department just stood quiet as I explained My problems and disappointment.

5 months into my 2011 MB E350 BlueTech lease the front left tire blown on a highway. The tires are run-flat Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 MO Extended 245/45R17 95H. I stopped the car and saw the rim made a cut in a sidewall. Not repairable, I had it replaced. 45 days later, another front tire was again blown on a highway the same way. I put on a spare and ordered replacement. 2 days later, the third tire blows the same exact way. All incidents were on the roads. I travel for 10 years and never had any issues with my previous cars. I complained to local dealer and was told it was caused by my way of driving. Ridiculous! The tire repairman told me these run-flats are not flexible and have a very thin sidewall so it gets punctured by the rim. I feel MB should compensate me for what I paid replacing their tires.

I have a 2007 ML 350 which I had purchased new. The car now has 117,000 miles on the odometer. For the past seven years it has been a great vehicle and the only problem I had was with a window lift on the passenger side. There were always little things like light bulbs, but nothing that was mechanical and needed fixing until this past week. The check engine light came on and when I brought the car in it was diagnosed to be a relay for the fuel injection system. A reasonable $211 fix. The next day the light came on again. Brought the car in again and it was diagnosed that there was a blockage in the air pump system for the admissions. I was quoted a $5,600 repair job. They have to tear the engine down to find the blockage.I was told by my service advisor that this shows up at about 115-120,000 miles. It is caused by carbon build-up. I maintain my car as per factory specs so it is not a lack of maintenance that caused this. In my estimation there may be a design flaw in the emissions system. Since the car is out of warranty the dealer cannot do anything for me to correct this. When I contacted Mercedes they said that because of the age of the car and the mileage they cannot or wont do anything for me. They wont even split the bill with me. However, they would give a $3,000 incentive to buy a new car. In the the meantime, my car has been rendered worthless. I cannot trade the car nor sell it with the check engine light lit up. I am at a loss on where to go from here. Any ideas?

I bought an ML 6.3 AMG from Mercedes Inchcape with five thousand miles on the clock. They charged me top book price. When driving, I felt the steering was not quite right. I took the vehicle back to the dealership several times and was basically fobbed off. I then paid an independent engineer to inspect the vehicle. His findings were that the vehicle had been in a front end crash. It had had several new panels including wings and front bumper, even the headlight was superglued in. I have stopped the payments on the vehicle and put my complaint to the dealership in November 2011. They eventually sent their manager out in the middle of January 2012. All he did was take photographs of the jeep on his mobile phone! And he eventually sent a letter to my solicitor stating that he could not say the vehicle as not road worthy. This has been explained to him that my complaint is that I was sold a vehicle under false pretenses, as I was not informed of any repair work being carried out prior to me purchasing the vehicle. And if I was, I would not have completed the purchase, as stated I paid top book price ($90K+). I have informed both the dealership and Mercedes Inchcape that I have rescinded the contract with them and I am requesting all monies paid to them be returned to me.

Two said they cant make the keys because Mercedes will not release the codes necessary for them to make them. So let me get this straight. Mercedes cant make them and they wont enable anyone else make them. These keys have been unavailable for almost a year. If you lose your key, tough luck. Your car is a large paper weight. Mercedes doesnt give a hoot. What moron is in charge of this at Mercedes? Whoever it is, they could care less about their loyal customers and should be fired immediately. I have a C350 2009 that has a transmission double shifting problem from 11K miles. When car is cold, once you pass from park to drive with the brakes applied, you get two hits to get in driving mode. The first one is the common sensation of getting in drive; the second one is like somebody is hitting your rear bumper. After two years driving the car to Mercedes Benz of Pembroke Pines where they tried all possible solutions directed by MB USA, which include repairing transmission, changing computer programs, replacing a transmission, placing a new parts from Germany and more that can be seen in my car maintenance history, all of this represents two years of stress and loss of my time. Today, I was surprised that MB USA got the conclusion based on one of their specialists that the issue in my car is common for all other cars same model parked at the dealer. Is this not amazing? All the money and time spent to fix my complaint got the great and funny conclusion that this is part of the car design? It is offensive. It is frustrating that we, the customers, look for a good and guaranteed car that make our driving and lives easy without problems and results that now I cannot believe in Mercedes Benz as my dream car because MB is designing and building cars that have issues hidden, not described in their owner manual or at least notified to customers. What is happening with one of the best car brands in the world? For sure Ill not purchase any other Mercedes Benz in my life and will not recommend anybody believing on brands. All are the same! If somebody has a suggestion on how I may elevate my frustration and solve this situation is more than welcome to contact me.

I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I will be getting this disaster of a junk box off my hands ASAP... Total money pit.

The worst vehicle I have ever owned and the worst service. When you buy a vehicle 2016 with less than 1200 miles on it and they tell you the van should get between 30-40 miles per gal and you get 18.4 and the lights keep on going on and off, and the tires had to be replaced with less than 9,000 miles on it, and the doors and windows stick, and you go in to have the check lights corrected and ten miles down the road they are back on, when the fuel gauge is not accurate, and and and...I could write a book about this piece of overpriced garbage. I now suffer from Ford envy as I drive all over the country and I do not feel safe in this vehicle as lights are going on and off all the time including check engine lights. Ive had more problems with this vehicle and spent more money in the few months Ive had the Metris than I have ever on a vehicle, and I usually get between 250,000 and 325,000 miles on a vehicle. The salesman left the dealership right after I bought the van and the service dept. instead of fixing the warning light they filled the fluid levels! Ive already talked two friends into not buying a Mercedes! The salesman told me they only allowed 100.00 for my van which had 4 brand new tires and battery as they could only scrap it. I would have taken it back and given it to public radio but he said they had already sent it off! Should I go on? When I had the tires replaced because they said they were not safe I took the tires and they look fine to just about everyone who has looked at them. I had to have air put into the tires two days after I purchased it as the light for air pressure was on. I am a professional and because I am a woman I pay attention to vehicles and everything that affects me and my business. I am now going to see if I can get any money for this piece of junk and buy another van, Hopefully this will be from a decent company and will not have chocolate on the seats when I get it. Never buy a Mercedes or deal with their salesmen or service dept. Anyone want to buy this cargo van? Oh they told me that the Metris is a cargo van but you shouldnt put any weight in it!

When I called and complained to Gordon, all he said was sorry they were supposed to vacuum the trunk but I guess they didn’t. They assigned a new person two weeks later and then had to wait another 15 days until they asked if I wanted to choose from one of the new cars they had in inventory, since they didn’t had the options I wanted they’ve added the camera for reverse for free (they had to).First weekend I left for a mini vacation came back to a non start truck, couldn’t even get in... Called the roadside assistance and they had to come and start it... It was very strange, a brand new card having those issues. Took it in for review and it had “according to them” nothing wrong. Last year I went again on vacations, next morning wanted to go to work and again, didn’t start. They said this time it was the battery, replaced it for free. They made me waste half of work day. So here we are, 2018, last year of my lease and I just got back from vacations, and again! Yes again! It won’t even open or start. I’m so relieved that I get to replace my car this month and I’m so disappointed on Mercedes Benz.

I have driven Mercedes Benz for nearly a decade. I have trusted the brand; I have trusted the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Fort Lauderdale. However, recently this trust was betrayed. Additionally, I have always purchased my cars there, and always taken my car there for service. I recently took my car in to get the lights replaced. A week later the car was ready. As I drove off the parking lot, I opened the glove compartment, and it fell to the floor. I quickly called my service advisor; he suggested I take it in as soon as I could. And I did; after assessing the damage, the service manager called me and became argumentative, refusing to take responsibility. He not only betrayed my trust, he insulted me, his last words were: We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. This is not remarkable customer service; in fact, its no customer service at all. The damage is self-evident, an obvious blunt force and trauma to the glove compartment. A client for a decade; I was planning on purchasing my next car there next year; not to mention, I spent close to $4000 on the lights and back breaks. If you want quality, chose a different dealership.

I had been a Mercedes Benz user for the past decade since Mercedes Benz began its operation in India. I had bought my first Benz E240 in April 2002 through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

We have owned our Mercedes C230 since we bought it new in 2007. The Mercedes has outlasted our BMW 325i and our Toyota Tundra. The car still drives like new. Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

It is a shame. I was disappointed by the big house, Mercedes. I bought a Mercedes C180 from Mercedes Paris Longchamp for export on January 21, 2013. After a few km., it showed topping liquid refroid.cf. manuals. I contacted the seller and he told me, Sorry, we did all the diagnostics and forgot to add water. Weve added it and you will be okay. I thought of his words because he works for the big house, Mercedes. I made my way to Marseilles to take my boat, but even after 40 km. the message still appeared. I continued on my way by adding water at each stop, with stress and panic. When I arrived in Tunisia, I went straight to the house nearest Mercedes, Av Grand Maghreb Nabeul 8000. They informed me that the problem was with a seal, but whats worse was when he told me that this is a defect with the Mercedes C180 and they did not have the seal in Tunisia. I contacted the seller and sent the attached reference but he sent me another one with another reference. This is not normal at all from a big house and your staff. Im disappointed with everything around me and my family because the car is in the garage. I worked hard to have a nice car and go home, but Mercedes deceived me and betrayed me. Why? I did not want to buy elsewhere to be sure of the quality and the seller told me that the car is almost new. Sorry, but I do not have confidence in your company as my car is in the garage and I cannot use it. Every day, I am forced to use public transportation. I regret having chosen the Mercedes. I know that 20,000 Euros (the price of my car) is worth nothing to you, but for me, it was all of my money. I spent one year in an unstable country - away from my family - to have it, and I did not want to buy a new car from another brand because we were fans of the Mercedes. I did not want to buy from an unknown dealer. I chose the house because I trusted in this house and its staff. Now, I hate it, and I will tell my case to all people with Facebook, Twitter, and the web because I wrote a lot of messages to Mercedes but they dont care about us.

We purchased this beautiful black SUV in December of 2011, over a year ago as of today. I debated between an Acura vs. a Mercedes. I have owned an Acura in the past and was pleasantly surprised by Acuras outstanding customer service. However, I chose Mercedes, assuming they too would have impeccable service. This assumption was far from the truth. The Mercedes did not come with running boards and since I am short and we live in rainy Oregon, its essential to have running boards and mud flaps. We didnt want to have mud flaps put on until we received the running boards as the two really need to be installed at the same time. We have now been waiting over one year for the running boards. I have called Mercedes directly and been told we have been put on the preferred list but they did not have an ETA of when I would actually get them.To make matters worse, I purchased rubber floor mats and received a recall notice for the drivers side, took the mat in and was told they had to actually take the current mat, mail it to Mercedes and wait for Mercedes to mail the new one back. Again I am told, no ETA, and off the cuff, good luck with that...

2013 E350 serviced every time it required service and every time informed them that the steering wheel tilt does not work - first time it was a software upgrade they installed - still did not fix the problem. Second time they found motor gear locked and unlocked it, again it did not fix the problem. 3rd time they made a steering adjustment and applied lube, and again it did not fix it. 4th time they want to replace the tilt motor for $1,300 and give me a 50% discount. My position is that it is a chronic defect that was never fixed correctly and I should not have to pay anything. The car is now out of warranty approx. 55,000 miles and for me it is the principle and I will never purchase a Mercedes-Benz. This is my 3rd new vehicle with them and it did not matter nor have they treated me like a valued customer. My mistake was that I did not take the car back frequently when the steering wheel did not work - I waited until a regular service was needed and told them every time. A very sad ending. My recommendation - buy Lexus and you will not have this experience. Hard for me to say since I was born and raised in Germany.

We were delivered this car in April 2017. After less than 10,000 we have had to replace 2 Tires. After many conversation with the Lawrenceville Dealership in NJ where we were told that indeed the car is too heavy for the tires. No solutions was offered other than for me to pay more money to have the tires changed. Mercedes is aware they are selling a defective product that can potentially be life threatening and they are doing nothing about it. I then e-mailed the corporate offices and was contacted by an agent who tried to work a resolution where we would still pay over 2000 and had to give those tires we paid a premium for, back to them (SCAM)... As a matter of principle and the fact that I can get better tires without them or their HELP... we refused the Great deal!! Nevertheless STAY AWAY... Looks like they dont care if you are stranded in the middle of no-where or if you die as the tires fall apart while you drive or like in my case while the car is parked in the garage!! I have a 2003 mb 500 sl and I still own the car. For a car that costs more than $135,000.00, I am extremely disappointed in the major problems I have. All services have been done diligently and I have had to pay for many as you know the problems arise only after the warranty expires.Currently I am facing a serious color fade on the bonnet/hood and a leak from the closure point of the convertible above the driver when the car is washed or when it rains. And it rains in Florida. This is not something that the mb dealership wants to fix and I am disappointed that for a car that expensive, problems like these should be non existent or cost covered by Mercedes to say the least. All of my other Mercedes and I had 3 prior, the family all own Mercedes, did not have such issues. I am very disappointed and I so wanted to keep this car and buy another to run around. Can you please assist in my dilemma and in correcting these problems?

2003-2006 E series Mercedes in fact a majority of MBZ in these years use a sensotronic braking system SBC provided by Bosch. It has a secret limited number of uses before the computer renders the car inoperable. There were tons of problems with these and Mercedes and Bosch placed a 10 year unlimited warranty on them. Well mine went out at 9 years and instead of replacing it, the dealer reprogrammed it as directed by Mercedes and Bosch to allow for more brake actuators insisting there was no need at that time to replace it. I voiced my concerns at that time as I already knew from 100s of other owners that this thing is a time bomb. Well it lasted 3 months beyond the warranty and failed. This part costs 50% of the total vehicle current value and my car is cherry. I contacted Mercedes and they told me to go pound sand in a professional manner of course. Second Mercedes and now LAST Mercedes, probably have 5 -10 more cars in my lifetime, they would probably all have been MBZ. This was a deliberate avoidance of making the right repair the first time knowing full well they just increased the cycle count based on our driving habits to get us out of warranty. Mercedes plan is to get all these cars off the road because they are accidents waiting to happen, huge liability tail risk. When these controllers fail you have virtually no brakes. My real anger comes from their blatant dodging of the warranty and second such poor customer service on a for the most part quality piece of equipment. The whole thing reeks of fraud pure and simple.

Bought New 2009 C300. Only has 40,000 miles. Biggest junk we ever owned. Driver seat came apart. Paint on front bumper cover and all door handles peeling off (all plastic areas). Dealer agreed to repaint. After 1 year its happening again (Color is Mars Red). Car went into lock mode and wouldnt start. Had to be flat bedded to dealer. Blower motor for heat/air burned out. SRS system set off trouble codes dealer. Said bad seat belt parts. Car is out of warranty and have to pay for everything. Never owned such a junk!Bought New ML250 Bluetec Diesel. Just turned 20,000 miles on 4/4/17. Driving down road and starting surging. Went a little further down road and surging again. This time smelling Diesel fuel. Started smoking from under hood. Car broke down. Had to be flat bedded into dealer. Dealer said Fuel leak and all other related damage from fuel spraying on engine is due to rodent damage and warranty is not covering anything. Want to charge me $4500 to $5000 for repair.I dont believe there was any rodent damage and the fuel leak was caused by faulty parts. We drive the car every day. It doesnt sit around. I also drove it all day on 4/4/17 and this happened at 2:30 pm after driving all morning. I opened hood on roadside to make sure it wasnt on fire. Didnt see any signs on rodent nesting or anything. The car is under warranty and extended warranty and they wont cover anything. This is terrible customer service/relations. We are done with Mercedes-Benz. We will tell everyone we know. What is the sense of having warranty when they wont honor it. Rodent or not. Fix it. Warranty it. Its called customer service. What about the oil leak recall... which we havent got. I say that ruined the wires or harness and the oil ate through and that caused the problem. MB wont own up to these problems. When the MB Rep called me back she agreed with the dealers decision. Terrible. We are talking about New Vehicles $100,000 worth of JUNK. Our lawyer will be getting informed of these issues. We also filed a complaint with NHTSA.

They drop down about 2 inches and cannot be closed. This causes rain to seep into the car and cause damage. I have brought the car to Mercedes dealers on 5 separate occasions and they were unable to solve the problem. They have now told me that they are working on a fix in Germany and can give me no timetable as to when it will be ready. They have refused to replace the car. They told me I should use a manual override to keep the windows closed. I feel taken advantage of and am pursuing recourse through the Florida lemon law. I would like to hear from others who have had this problem. Thank you.

In April 2013, I bought a pre-owned 2007 Mercedes E550 at the Lexus Dealership with 49,000 miles on car and bought a one-year Lexus Gold Protection Plan. In the one year and 4 months time frame, I have had to replace the brake pads that were supposedly put on at the Lexus Dealership prior to the car being sold to me. Last week, an indicator came on that said car too low. I am thinking I must have a flat tire but it is way worse than that. I get out of car and the rim of the car is sitting on top of the tire. I make it a half mile away to Express Oil and thankfully they are able to put car in their garage that night. The next day, Express Service department tells me the right front suspension has gone out and it will be $1465 to repair car. This is so disappointing that I bought a pre-owned Mercedes of such poor quality. When I called Mercedes about 2007 Mercedes E550, the customer service reps, Jackie and Olivia, were rude and not the least bit helpful. When I asked about possible recalls on the 2007 Mercedes E550, she said there were none related to my issue. There are many complaints online over this particular Mercedes model and year. Jackie made it clear to me that Mercedes values brand loyalty and because my repairs were done at Express there would be no consideration of help from Mercedes. Jackie also told me that they look at brand loyalty and since I did not get my car serviced every time at Mercedes that this would seem to influence whether I was loyal to the Mercedes brand. This is my second Mercedes so I informed her that I was pretty considering that I have bought 2. She did not care about pleasing the customer and basically told me because my car was a 2007 that this played a role in the car having issues. I am now noticing while idling that the a/c runs hot so that I am sure will cost me more money. I bought a lemon on the 2007 Mercedes E550. I am one unhappy owner of a Mercedes and I am extremely disappointed with the arrogant, uncaring customer service at Mercedes. No more Mercedes once I trade this piece of junk!!!

The reviews on MB were great so I purchased my E350 in good condition in 2011 and thought I was home free. Less did I know I was in for big problems to come? I have been in 3 potholes and each time there is a problem. In all the 3 occasions the tires were total and I have to get new ones to replace. Also out of the 3 incidents 2 rims had to be replaced. The rims were damaged so badly that it seemed they were in serious accidents. I cannot bring myself to believe that Mercedes Benz wheels quality are so cheap that any small hole could damage the tires plus the rims. The recent incident cost me a total of $1700 for a tire and a rim. This is the second time I am shelling out this amount of money. This is disturbing. I am now not even confident driving my E350. Constantly looking out for holes on the street to avoid and this is dangerous considering other cars on the road. Avoiding potholes may rather lead to a crash with another car. In all my cars that I have owned since obtaining my drivers license (25 years ago) I have never had a rim damaged with potholes but under 1.5 years I have had 2 rims damaged on a supposedly durable car. I am thinking a more safer and ordinary make car and park the E350 somewhere. I feel very unsafe now driving the E350 and moreover I dont have $1700 to shell out all the time. I am surprised there are no recalls on the wheels. The wheels require a more durable material.

I own a Mercedes Benz SL 500 (TRS680 GP). Earlier this year, the car went into your workshops ten (10) times before they were able to repair the distronic sensor. At 30,000 km, the car went for a service. Within 50 km after the service, the suspension collapsed and there was a complete failure of the brakes. Fortunately I was able to avoid an accident. The car was towed in to Mercedes-Benz Sandton (corner Rivonia & South) on Monday July 18, 2011. This morning (July 29, 2011), I went and enquired what was happening and I was told the parts for the suspension were due on the 4th of August.Only after the suspension was repaired could they establish why there was a total brake failure. If more parts are required, then I guess there will be a further 3- 4 weeks of wait without my car.The customer service center will not return my calls. (Lance)In summary, straight after the car was serviced, a serious safety problem arose – namely, the suspension and total brake failure occurred. Previous experience showed that repairs, namely the distronic, are not reliable and excessively slow. Please explain to me why I should not notify the relevant authorities on the apparent inability of your group to maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.Your reply without delay would be appreciated.

I purchased my MB GLK350 about 1 1/2 ago. I was so excited as it was my first MB. I just found out that the car needs a new transmission. The dealership gave me an estimate of $8,000. The warranty just expired 1,000 miles ago. This car is a piece of **. Its no way possible a 4-year old car needs the transmission to be replaced. I barely drive the car, only to school and back. I was considering getting a new MB before this happened. I will NEVER purchase an MB again.

I have a 2012 GL450 with only 40k miles on it and I have had to have the front suspension replaced and/or fixed 2 times in a few months time. I researched if other owners have had this issue and yes it is a known problem since 2008. The MB dealer even knows of the issues this system has had. The problem is serious and is going to cause someone to lose a life or get hurt severely. The front suspension will just drop while you are driving and you receive a malfunction airmatic error on the dash. This seems to me a recall issue, but for some reason MB does not recall and fix the problem, until I guess a family loses a life. Fortunately my vehicle is still under warranty and they say they will fix it, but this is not my concern. My concern is that this issue is a real safety issue and the NHTSA needs to look into it. Look Takata stepped up and are fixing their faulty airbags, MB you need to fix your suspension systems before someone get hurt or killed.

I own a 2007 E350 with 125,000 miles. For years I have complained about the transmission shifting. Was told car needed a conductor plate ($1500). Problem still exist. Was mailed a letter from MB USA in reference to balance shaft settlement which my car was diagnosed with that code (0272) at 61,613 miles. Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta refused to correct the problem and now that I just reached the 125,000 miles limit, they are telling me the cost is $7000 while MB USA settlement letter clearly states that the reasonable cost is $4000 minus MB USA discount from settlement. While I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta, I am willing to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. I have called Margarite (800-624-6736 ext **) numerous times and she refuses to return my calls. If MB USA cares about its customers and its reputation, they will address this issue.

I purchased a used 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230. The car had around 70k miles on it. I was driving home one night and the car suddenly jerked and went into Limp mode. Meaning the car would not accelerate past 40 mph. I was able to drive it to a MB Service Center where I was informed that a sensor inside the transmission had failed, it was an anti-theft related part and could only be installed and programmed by Mercedes. I reached out to Mercedes for some assistance and was told because the car wasnt serviced throughout its life by MB they were not willing to help with the cost of the part. $2,700.My next purchase of a Mercedes was a 2009 C63 AMG. These are high-performance, hand-built engines. I verified this vehicle had always been serviced at a MB dealership before I purchased it. Around 80,000 miles, I was driving down the interstate and was about to pass someone when a check engine light came on and my vehicle lost all power, we were lucky there was enough of a gap in the Houston traffic to pull over safely. The vehicle was towed to Mercedes and was there about 3 or 4 days before they called and told me a wiring harness for the fuel pump had shorted out and needed to be replaced. $700. It took them another 3-4 days to actually get the vehicle repaired. At about 85,000 miles I get a notification that my brakes need to be replaced. Call MB for a quote. $6,000.At about 90,000 miles a check engine light came on. It went off but soon after it returned. I took it to the Mercedes Dealership, 4 days later they call me and tell me my INTAKE MANIFOLD is cracked and needs to be replaced for $3,747.00. This is a hand-built performance engine, are you kidding me? I again reach out to MB USA with my concerns and looking for some assistance, they tell me the service records dont matter and its about 1. If I bought the car from Mercedes and 2. How many times I, myself have had the vehicle serviced by the dealership. From that they decide if they feel the need to help with the cost of the repairs. This part is obviously faulty and Mercedes would be embarrassed if I posted the pictures of the crack in this aluminum-alloy intake manifold and the bubbles forming in the weaker parts of the metal.I asked the Lead Technician what would cause something like this and his response was That would be a question better answered by an engineer. I am not saying all cars dont have their problems, I am saying most of us cant afford the problems Mercedes-Benz have. The parts, service, and maintenance required on these vehicles is extremely expensive and if something happens you better hope you have thousands of dollars laying around that you can use.

Any car but NEVER EVER Mercedes. Why am I posting here? To create consumer awareness. NEVER EVER MERCEDES AGAIN. Worst customer service ever. Mercedes Benz Canada is the worst company to deal with when there is a problem with the car. Complete lack of customer service and they do not care if you are a long time client. They simply don’t care. After almost two years no one is able to find the problem in my 2018 E 400 at Mercedes Oakville and Mercedes Benz Canada is not willing to do anything. After repeated visits for a problem brought to their attention right after we leased the vehicle it still hasn’t been rectified. We have had to escalate to arbitration but still no help because it is an intermittent noise that doesn’t happen every day. Despite multiple employees hearing the noise on multiple occasions they can’t fix it.Mercedes Benz Canada’s response to arbitration was pathetic. Their response was we are welcome to keep taking car back. They have tried to repair multiple times at an inconvenience to us and their only solution is to keep going back. No one expects multiple visits for a noise issue on a car that costs this much. We were so desperate to get rid of this vehicle that we even went and talked to sales department at Mercedes Benz Oakville who knew about the situation but were unable to do anything to make it reasonable for us to switch cars. They just don’t care that we are unhappy and stressed about paying so much money every month for a car that annoys us. Despite providing them with multiple recordings evidencing the noise they still can’t fix it and just don’t care.Over all terrible and worst customer service experience we have ever had. If you don’t want to have any problem, just DO NOT BUY MERCEDES FROM MERCEDES BENZ OAKVILLE. There are lots of other luxury brands to choose from. IF YOU WANT DETAILS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE feel free to contact us. I can even provide documentation and you can make better decisions when you are picking a luxury car.

I had a very bad experience with customer service assistant and Manager Steven. I visited the Plano Dealer for my first maintenance service. The lady assistant in the service line was not very friendly. I already mentioned I made an appointment. She didnt seem to care about what I said and asked me to call on the phone with her hands very rudely. I wasnt even feeling that bad, then I faced the adviser Mr. **. I was trying to mention a few questions about the auto control system. He didnt listen and was doing just his paperwork and ask me whats that? I had to have more this kind of conversation to get the information for the maintain service. Because this was the first time with Mercedes, the adviser did not listen to me, so I had to hear whats that? several times and spoke again. I became totally uncomfortable with the adviser. He did not even explain I had to have a loan car. When I went to pick up my car, one of my main concern, the noise, was not fixed. So I tried to explain the noise to the adviser and another guy, who was manager Steven. I didnt realize because he was standing in front of me without introduction. While I was explaining about the problem, they were talking to each other instead of listening to me. I felt I was ignored again. Finally, I asked for a manager, then the guy said, I am the manager. I was complaining how you people are rude, then he said that I was rude with stuck up face. I have been very happy with my car and the sales department people treats me with respect. On the other hand, service department people showed me very poor service and did not respect the customer at all. Even they charge the most expensive cost.

Is MB serious with the ongoing Takata Airbag recall? I’ve been waiting patiently for over one year for replacement parts. They say... “The defect in your driver frontal airbag inflator on both driver and passenger frontal airbag inflation may cause the airbag to EXPLODE during airbag deployment and could result in metal fragments striking the front occupants, POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH”. My C300 Mercedes Benz with approximately 52,000 miles started to have an electrical problem about June 1, 2016. While driving at night, the headlights just went out: completely dark. I was very concerned about my safety, pedestrians and other drivers on the roads & highways. This problem occurred repeatedly over several nights and I decided not to drive at nights for next weeks. I took the car in to Mercedes-Benz of Miami (AutoNation) in Miami Gardens, FL. The diagnosis was that the wires to both headlamp units was corroded and would steadily deteriorate to where the headlights would become totally inoperable. This is outrageous that Mercedes Benz has used inferior quality electrical material that would corrode in a car with only 50,000 +/- miles. Of course, the repairs are not covered because the warranty expired at 4 years or 50,000 miles and the extended warranty expired 4 years ago. The cars sunroof also leaked and flooded inside my car on two (2) separate occasions. I paid the Dealerships to fix these leaks but the last repair was not done properly so now I have water and leaks every time it rains which is now nearly every other day during the summers here in South Florida. This leaves a damp, musty, moldy smell inside my car. Im unable to open the sunroof to dry out inside properly because the little PLASTIC lever broke as Id attempted to open the sunroof some months ago. Everything about Mercedes Benz quality has steadily declined to using inferior, cheap quality and plastic materials. That is why there is so many increase of RECALLS on all makes and models of Mercedes Benz cars and SUVs. Poor INNOVATION, PERFORMANCE & SERVICE: MBs Motto!! Customer Service Manager, Atlanta, Corporate Mercedes Benz USA offered a $260 - discount towards repairs to me, a twenty-eight(28) years loyal repeat Customer who has owned several Mercedes Benz cars since 1988! What an insult!!

Since I had received my car Class B-150 in 2008. I am suffering from it because of many problems. Brakes: Its not up to the expected when needed (very weak). Makkar Agency has been informed of this problem and they made necessary maintenance (as assumed by them) till the expiry of the guarantee period. Then they asked for a complete adjustment for the whole brake system!!! After this incident, I moved to Katameya Maintenance Center. During 2011 another problem has been appeared which is vibration and weird voices in the motor. They defined the disrepair as a problem in the Belt Tensioner and they changed it in September 2011. The problem continued and they ignored our many complaints about it till the guarantee period of the Belt Tensioner has been expired. In April 2014, the problem has been aggravated and the car became slow and the vibrations are increased where I suspected the gear box oil. Car has been sent to the Mercedes Maintenance at Fom El Khalig and they reported that gear box oil is not the problem and it is in good condition and they have to change Belt Tensioner again (already has been changed when the car was reading 30,800 km). Three days after receiving the car, same problem appeared again. I re-sent it again to the same Maintenance Center (Fom al Khalig) where they reported that the car needs to change the main Control Board of the Gear Box!!! You will not believe that the car is reading now 47,011 km which is very weird and strange for Mercedes Benz with their GREAT HISTORY. From the above, Im not satisfied at all with the car regarding all many disrepairs which affected my job and I consider the above as waste of time and money. When I chose to buy Mercedes I chose Name, Reputation, Strength and durability. I work as Engineering Director at and Engineering Consultancy Company for Petroleum Companies (as Business Card attached) and Im sure that Mercedes Benz, with their large reputation in Egypt and Middle East and Internationally, cannot accept these many disrepairs for a car 47,000 km. I really was going to buy the new CLA but now after all these happenings, I will not and will not recommend Mercedes for any of my acquaintances. I expect free change of this spare part and rechecking of the many frequent breakdowns of the car. Appreciating your understanding and your time. N.B. my car is in Mercedes Agency at Fom Al Khalig since Saturday 3rd of May and no answer till now.

It is my duty as a member of my community to issue this public service announcement. Please read and think carefully before buying or leasing any Mercedes vehicles. My wife had always dreamed of driving a Mercedes. After months of shopping around for the best model, I finally surprised her with an E350 in November 2013. Unfortunately, within one month a bubble was formed on the front passenger tire and it ended up popping while I was driving 30mph on a date night with my wife. I brought it into Mercedes to be serviced and I was assured that this does not happen often, so they replaced it for free. After this first incident, I was a bit wary but still was optimistic that her car was safe to drive.About a month later, my wife was driving alone late in the evening on her way to a class when she hit a minor pothole and both her front tires popped. My wife immediately panicked, because she was stuck in New Rochelle, pulled off to a road late at night and had to wait two hours in the cold for a tow truck to come. During this long wait, she noticed hundreds of cars driving over the same road that were not affected. This was the last time she ever drove this car alone.Through the spring, I continued to notice bubbles appearing on the tires. In March of 2014, there was a bubble on the front and rear passenger sides of my car, which both had to be replaced. This brought the count up to 5 tires in 4 months. By April, there was another bubble on the front passenger which brought the count up to 6, so 6 new tires within 5 months. Im 52 years old, and have driven over a dozen cars in my lifetime and I have never experienced anything like this. Every time I would bring my car into Mercedes I was told that my car was safe and this shouldnt happen again. In September of 2014, around 9 months into my Mercedes experience there was yet another bubble forming on the front passenger side of my car. As usual, I brought my car in to be serviced and they assured me that this would not happen again. I was skeptic, but I needed a car to get to work, so I continued to drive the E350, which had become my car after my wifes traumatic experience with it.The winter was a long, brutal one so I tried to avoid driving the Mercedes as much as I could. Once the snow cleared up, I started to drive it more regularly and of course in the second week of March, I noticed a bubble on both the front and rear passenger sides of the car. Ive become an expert on these situations, so as per usual, I brought it into Mercedes to be serviced. Less than a week later, I was with my wife, and her friend who has a newborn child when the car hit a pothole on the freeway. The front passenger tire popped, and the three other tires had bubbles that had to be replaced. We had to sit on the highway, with a newborn child and wait 40 minutes for a tow truck to come and rescue us from this madness. During this 40 minutes, with the baby crying and my wife and her friend in fear that another car could crash into us as we waited on the highway, I observed that no other car had any issues driving over those potholes. My tire count was now 13 tires in16 months. 9 days later, I was driving home at night around 10PM and yet again another tire blew. Although Im young at heart, I can no longer deal with the stress and fear of driving this luxury car. I had previously owned or leased many different brands of luxury cars including Lexuss and Audis and I have never experienced anything like. After every one of these occurrences I called Mercedes and asked if there was any way I could get a new model car that wouldnt have this issue or end my lease short, and they continuously blew me off. After my 14th tire had to be replaced, I called Mercedes corporate to alert them of this issue and to my surprise they werent alarmed and didnt seem to think this was a serious issue. The regional manager I spoke to - **, who claims to not have a supervisor told me that the issue was with the roads, not with the car. Yet, when I asked him why this happened to me through every season and didnt seem to impact any other cars, he had nothing to say. So, please, think carefully before letting any of your loved ones or yourself drive one of these dangerous vehicles.

I have purchased about less than a year ago an E350 MB car, brand new from the local dealer in Windsor ON. I started to have water condensation in the right side head lamp. I took the car for its yearly service and advised the dealership of this problem. I showed them the water inside the lamp. There is no damage to the cover, which indicates clearly a break in the seal. Initially I received a response that this problem is not covered by the warranty as it is considered a wear and tear (after less than a year in a part that is not involved in any mechanical movement), then I was told that the problem is so small, it doesnt warrant repair!! Then I was asked to take photos and send them to the dealership and they will send them to MB Canada to convince them that the problem exist!! I found all these excuses outrageous. I am very dissatisfied. After all I am supposedly buying a luxury car, to have such a problem is not acceptable let alone being denied the repair and given lousy excuses.

When you paid premium price for purchasing and routine maintenance of a MB 350E, you expect a solid car with good quality. You would be wrong! My 2011 MB 350E has shown poor quality of materials. The control buttons of the steering wheel were wrapped with a piece of plastics and starting smearing. Moreover, the car seat cover has been torn apart, while the main driver of the car is lighter than 120 lb and the car has been parked mostly in garages. You can see that in the attached photos. I have never seen a premium car deteriorated so early so fast. It seems that the car was built with too many low quality artificial materials, or plastics, and not built to last! Maybe MB is expecting people to spend money every other year to buy a new one. Well, with such poor quality, people may have to to buy a new car in a year or two after an MB, but another brand!

I thought I was buying my pride and joy - a Mercedes GL350 Bluetec - from the Mercedes-Benz Melbourne showroom. I was dealing with a very charismatic sales agent who promised me free service for first 3 years and that this would be put in as a part of the deal. This promising agent left the dealership and I was palmed off to someone else who, apparently, was pretty green and almost botched up the documents to be sent to my bank on time. I managed to salvage that situation with the bank. Then again I was palmed off to someone else and eventually got my vehicle after a 4 month waiting period. And I never got my free service as it was missed by the dealership due to change of sales agent handling my deal and purely due to the unprofessional set up of the dealership customer service. What is the most disappointing part is the pure lack of service. Nobody from Mercedes was bothered to follow-up with me after the sale of a new vehicle ($150K) whether it was doing OK or if I had any issues. There was no correspondence from the dealership leading up to the service, not even a call, to inform and plan for a service. Guys - there is nothing wrong with the product. But I think its the brand name selling itself, not the M-B dealership in Melbourne. Its the worst I have ever seen, comparing with Mitsi and Toyota. Toyota are the benchmark as far as customer service is concerned and they cost fraction of the price for the vehicle and are a top drawer engineered too. Go anywhere BUT this Melbourne dealership. They suck.

I have had numerous problems in my 4 year old ML 500 with the Airmatic suspension which I think is an untested, failed technology. As a result I have spent several thousand dollars replacing the suspension despite the fact that I never go off-roading with this car and also drive carefully to avoid the delicate suspension breaking down. My previous complaints to Daimler as well as their Middle East dealer have had NO RESPONSE! That suggests that not only is the car bad but also the support offered by the vendor is non-existent. I cannot see any reason to buy a new Mercedes especially when there are much better German cars available out there.

Purchased my 2014 C300 a week ago. Has 10,000 miles. Traded in my 2011 C300 with 75k miles. Had 2 other previous Mercedes also, 2002, 2009. All had approx 75k miles when traded and NEVER an issue with previous 3 cars. 2014 has the ECO start/stop feature which if you research is not a FEATURE but a problem. Roadside Assistance tech who came out yesterday to try to assist me was floored when he could not even jump start it as he believed the starter was gone. He called Tow company, who also could not jump and gave same opinion, crazy that the starter could be gone! The ECO start/stop is believed to be the cause and if you read other problems it does a number on the wear of a battery and starter due to the excessive starting and stopping compared to vehicles without this!!! VERY IRATE AND DISAPPOINTED out of my new car for 2 days and everyone is sorry for my inconvenience.

Two cars, MB SL-500 and MB S-500, both with low mileage but just out of war
Two cars, MB SL-500 and MB S-500, both with low mileage but just out of warranty time-wise. SL-500: New wiring harness before I bought it at 25K; new motor mounts at 29K; new shift linkage at 28K; convertible top died mid-cycle at 39K, it took four months to repair; Ball Joints at 41K. For the S-500: Power steering unit at 60K; new fuel pump at 61K; new A/C at 61K; new auto door lock system at 65K; new ignition at 65K. Every part cost $800 plus and $150/hour in labor. Average repair cost is $2,500/month. Maintenance is also done every month. I drove one car with fingers crossed while the other was in the shop. Both cars are gone! Never ever again.
