I purchased my first Mercedes Benz, 2007 GL450 in 2010 from CarMax in Louisville. The car is very nice in luxury but has been a money pit from day one! After thousands of dollars in repairs, I still owe $12k and cannot afford to sell it with all the issues it has. I still need about $8000.00 more in repairs!Well, last night I drove to dinner with some friends. Approx. 45 miles rt. I parked it in my garage at 6:30pm. At 12:30 am I went out to the garage to take the trash out before retiring for the night and I felt heat from the Mercedes as if it had been in the sun for hours. I felt the hood and it was very hot on the right side of the front hood. So I pulled it outside the garage, in case of a fire! Mercedes does not intend to help me with this issue. I will have to call a tow truck today and be without my car. I was suppose to work in Chicago this week. Now I cannot. This is going to cost me loss in pay and tons of money. I am in fear of my life, but is need to work! I just read several reviews that this model has caught fire and destroyed homes and lives. I dont know where to turn for help. MB needs to recall these cars! ASAP! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

In 2009, we bought a 2002 Mercedes ML-500. We are the 2nd owner of the car. A few years following the purchase of the car, every time when it rains, our car is leaking water everywhere, from the front light, sunroof, floor board to fuse box, and back light from the back seat. We have our two and a half years old son sit in the back seat; he got wet all over. We took the car to the Mercedes dealer. They want us to pay $600-$700 to check to see what going on. But the thing is, a Mercedes car never leaks, and also they are the best car brand in the world. Our friend has an older model car than us but never has that problem. Anyone has the same problem as mine who can give me some info?

I purchased a Benz E250 Coupe 2 Door in 2010 straight from the dealership. The vehicle was hardly used and is mostly driven by a driver and no passengers and has only been driven less that 30,000km. Last year the front passenger seat, when you try to adjust the seat forward or backward only one side moves. Therefore the seat becomes one sided. When we took it in to the dealership they said that the mechanism under the seat needs to be changed. Guess how much it costs? Close to USD5000.00. How can a prestigious vehicle such as this have a defective part that powers a seat that was hardly ever used? Inferior comes to mind. So how can I get some relief?

Any car but NEVER EVER Mercedes. Why am I posting here? To create consumer awareness. NEVER EVER MERCEDES AGAIN. Worst customer service ever. Mercedes Benz Canada is the worst company to deal with when there is a problem with the car. Complete lack of customer service and they do not care if you are a long time client. They simply don’t care. After almost two years no one is able to find the problem in my 2018 E 400 at Mercedes Oakville and Mercedes Benz Canada is not willing to do anything. After repeated visits for a problem brought to their attention right after we leased the vehicle it still hasn’t been rectified. We have had to escalate to arbitration but still no help because it is an intermittent noise that doesn’t happen every day. Despite multiple employees hearing the noise on multiple occasions they can’t fix it.Mercedes Benz Canada’s response to arbitration was pathetic. Their response was we are welcome to keep taking car back. They have tried to repair multiple times at an inconvenience to us and their only solution is to keep going back. No one expects multiple visits for a noise issue on a car that costs this much. We were so desperate to get rid of this vehicle that we even went and talked to sales department at Mercedes Benz Oakville who knew about the situation but were unable to do anything to make it reasonable for us to switch cars. They just don’t care that we are unhappy and stressed about paying so much money every month for a car that annoys us. Despite providing them with multiple recordings evidencing the noise they still can’t fix it and just don’t care.Over all terrible and worst customer service experience we have ever had. If you don’t want to have any problem, just DO NOT BUY MERCEDES FROM MERCEDES BENZ OAKVILLE. There are lots of other luxury brands to choose from. IF YOU WANT DETAILS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE feel free to contact us. I can even provide documentation and you can make better decisions when you are picking a luxury car.

I am very disappointed about how Mercedes-Benz being so irresponsible of the subpar products which they do not stand behind. My friend purchased a brand new Sprinter back in 2017. After less than a year and just over 24K miles, the car had failed to accelerate with very noticeable knocking noise coming from engine compartment. My friend took it to Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn and was given a lame explanation of cause by water buildup. He was given an estimate of almost $30K to replace the whole engine assembly. How ridiculous! The price tag for the truck is about 60K and less than a year and under 25K miles later, it needs a new engine! I can never imagine a brand name like Mercedes-Benz would produce a subpar product like this and yet refuses to stand behind. I do not think it is the right approach to retain existing customers and attracting new customers. I would give 5 thumbs down if I had the choice.

I have a 2003 mb 500 sl and I still own the car. For a car that costs more than $135,000.00, I am extremely disappointed in the major problems I have. All services have been done diligently and I have had to pay for many as you know the problems arise only after the warranty expires.Currently I am facing a serious color fade on the bonnet/hood and a leak from the closure point of the convertible above the driver when the car is washed or when it rains. And it rains in Florida. This is not something that the mb dealership wants to fix and I am disappointed that for a car that expensive, problems like these should be non existent or cost covered by Mercedes to say the least. All of my other Mercedes and I had 3 prior, the family all own Mercedes, did not have such issues. I am very disappointed and I so wanted to keep this car and buy another to run around. Can you please assist in my dilemma and in correcting these problems?

I bought a new MB E350 2014. The car has spent more time in the workshop than with us. List of issues: Noise in the front of car, noise while turning the car. The biggest issue with the car has been getting flat tires on passenger side three times in 4-6 months time. The tire get bubbles and then get flat eventually. This car is only 7000 miles in 18 months. Dealership keep telling us that it hit a pit or bump and other reasons to get flat tire. This is my 4th car and I never had any issue in any cars where tires get flat every two months. I am very very frustrated with this car and would never ever in my life ever ever buy or recommend anyone buying Mercedes Benz.

My key will not turn my ignition. I have done some research and it seems that this is something that has happened to many Mercedes Benz automobiles and isnt specific to my model, which is a 1997 C280. I am so disappointed. The motor runs great and I love the car, but this is absolutely ridiculous! I went out one day and the key just wont turn no matter how hard I tried and what I did. I dont even know what the problem is. I dont know if the steering wheel is locked somehow and I just need to somehow get it unlocked or if its jammed or if something isnt lining up inside where the key goes. I dont know.

I visited the Dealership in Tampa Bay, Florida Mercedes Benz of Tampa Bay to get a diagnostic service since the car was signaling a malfunctioning alternator. I had to pay the diagnostics fee even though I still left without them telling if the alternator was the matter or not because the sales agents asked for me to buy a set of batteries for them to be able to check if the alternator was malfunctioning. The dealer fee was 149 dollars and they gave me a discount so I had to pay for approximately 120 dollars anyways. I find it very hard to believe that a dealership cannot check on the alternator by using one of their batteries if mine were not good enough for the job, which actually I have not had any issues with. I was very displeased with this treatment. I will not recommend this dealer to anyone.

My car, the GL450 4matic, has had steering column replaced, a recall for other same year 2008 GL450, but for some reason the recall did not apply to my particular vehicle in that year... Electrical between the lift gate and passenger windows and moonroof have gone out and been repaired more than once. Air sacs & front suspension both failed and replaced. All of this by 60,000 miles. My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. The coolant keeps disappearing and seems to be mixing with the oil through the head gasket on a car with 40,000 miles. Not only is this the worst craftsmanship Ive experienced, the dealership and service departments could not be worse in their customer service or concern to fix any problems. I would love to join anyone in holding Mercedes responsible for these repairs.

My experience has been nothing but a disaster from both Mercedes-Benz dealership in Kansas and MO. They are very racist against people of color especially to women. Ive never been treated so bad. You never get offered the same services as other individuals. This makes it very upsetting that I purchased this vehicle. After the salesperson was confronted about his behavior now he wants to try and pretend it didnt take place. Yes it did happen and he needs to own up to it. He doesnt need to work with the public. I dont recommend purchasing a vehicle from them to be humiliated.

Mr. Mercedes: Shake your head or roll over in your grave. Our new 2018 C43 AMG my wifes car needed new all season tires. I went to the Queensway Toronto Canada location and bought the rims and new winter tires about $4000.00, Free storage of our original tires and the new all season installed. Early April rolled by and the weather was warmer time to change the tires, this is when it started like a ** show, my first appointment was today May 29th 2018, requested a pickup and leave a loaner vehicle. We live 2 km away. Abruptly was told NO DON’T OFFER THAT SERVICE”. Went there for my 7.30 AM appointment, the staff opened the door at exactly 7.30am, No greeting other than running in circles getting the staff papers ready to do the staff job, then a HALLLLO no face to face contact. Impolite then I was reprimanded that I was early YOUR APPOINTMENT IS 7.45”. Is there a charge $70.00. You’re kidding. Im not paying to have my tires put back on, WELL YOU BETTER TALK TO ANOTHER STAFF. In the meanwhile other staff are coming to work and exercising their legs getting limbered up for their job but nobody, says hello or BOO. Then Mr STAFF, came by 30 minutes later MR SHUTERMANN, non polite no effort to even come close to pronouncing my name. Then it even got stupider, Mr Staff WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH YOUR TIRES. Now Im asking, “Is this a joke”, for 15 minutes’ worth of work Im there an hour now. My other issues about the car fuse cover keeps falling off and the front hood had permanent paint discoloring, when this was shown, Mr Staff YOU DONT KEEP YOUR CAR VERY CLEAN DO YOU. Now we really get bazaar. MR STAFF says YOU’RE CRITICIZING ME PERSONALLY. Wow now we’re going down a really dangerous ** path unbelievable, the ** show continues. Then Mr Staff asked me WHAT DO I DO FOR A LIVING. I expect an apology from senior Mercedes management. Completely unbelievable.

I have a 2007 Mercedes Benz S550 with 25k miles, and had to spend $6000 for a Remanufactured Transmission at Mercedes Benz of Scottsdale, Arizona. I called Mercedes Benz Corporation and a case manager by the name of Valerie told me that because I dont have any warranty from Mercedes Benz, I am on my own and kick rocks, they dont have to pay for the transmission. What type of company sells a product and when the product fails, they dont want any part of it. Please I need an attorney to help me deal with this issue. You tell me a vehicle that costs $100k to make needs a new transmission after 25k miles driven. Are you kidding me? Mercedes Benz has a lot of people in my situation. Can the Us Attorney General does her job? Can you please investigate Mercedes Benz and find out why they cost American Citizens so much money after buying their fake beauty cars....

As long-time, loyal customers of Mercedes, we leased a 2011 GLK350 which performed to our expectations until the third year. After 4 trips back to the dealer, Walters Mercedes in Riverside, CA, our sound system was completely replaced. After 5 trips back to that same dealer, we have never been able to resolve a squeaky and pulsing brake issue. Each time the dealership gave us a different reason for the problem but they never resolved it. We escalated our issue to Mercedes USA who told us there was nothing they would do because there is no recall. I even took the time to write to a senior level executive asking for someone to just talk with us and heard nothing.I have a bumper to bumper extended warranty on the car but the last time we were at the dealer they told us we would have to pay to put in new brakes. The car has 26,000 miles on it! It pains me to make that lease payment each month for such an inferior product. Would never, ever consider buying another Mercedes Benz. If anyone has had a similar issue and has an idea, I am open. Have considered legal avenues but only have 6 months left on the lease.

I have a problem with one of the vehicles we have bought with Mercedes and I would really appreciate assistance in solving this problem. I have bought all my Mercedes from Mercedes-Benz Angelopolis. I submitted a letter to the dealer and they told me that they have not received answer from Mercedes. To date, we have seven Mercedes vehicles and none of these had experienced problems before or had manufacturers defects except for this Class A-190. The vehicles we own are: one Class ML 350, two Classes ML 500, one Class A 190, one Class C, and one Smart. The only reason we have continued with the brand was the durability and the confidence that the vehicles gave us; it was reliable, as what I used to say. The vehicle, Class A-190, which has the problem has just 30,000.00 miles. I cannot conceive that a Mercedes has major problems with such a short mileage. I insist that the only reason Im still buying Mercedes is because of the supposed level of quality and service life of the vehicles. I hereby, request this to be reported to the plant in Germany and to repair the vehicle at no cost. Its not a Chevy, GM or a Ford; its a Mercedes. Its what the vendor say when you are paying extra money for a Mercedes, and it should last as a Mercedes. My wife almost never use this car. If this is what we expect from the brand, it is cheaper to buy an Atos or any other car and change it every three years. I have been its most faithful advertiser because I always trusted the brand. I hope this will be resolved. 30,000.00 miles are nothing for a Mercedes transmission. I definitely want to stay with them but in no way I will accept them trying to rip me off. This transmission came defective from the beginning. Four years ago, we started to buy other brands for a couple of problems we had with the service; while Ford and GM, are still a mess, at least Toyota has given us good service. Last year, we bought back with them the Class C and the Smart. A couple of days ago, we were evaluating to buy another Class ML-500, but after this, we do not know what to think. It really upsets me that Mercedes ends up being as good as a Chevy and in theory charges me extra money for a quality that does not exist. Please give me a favorable solution to this issue as quickly as possible. If not, then tell me what to do.I wont buy a Mercedez Again and I will suggest that everybody chose another brand.

In my opinion, the forward collision avoidance system (AEB) in my 7 mo. old 2018 Mercedes C300 SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I special ordered the car with the 997 pkg that includes, Driver Assistance, BAS+, and Distronic. I have been close enough to stopped or slowed down vehicles on the highway, that it should have at least alerted me (beeped) if not started to auto brake. During my 8,000 miles of driving, I have had cars cut in front of me or turn in front (as they went through a red light) and there has been no alert much less any braking. In addition, I was surprised to find that this vehicle apparently DOES NOT HAVE rear cross traffic alert other than perhaps from 2 feet away. That is, if I am backing up and there is traffic coming from the side, there is no alert! Even worse, if there is a pedestrian BEHIND the car or walking behind it, there is no alert other than if they are 1-2 away which is much too close to be able to stop. Granted, the rear camera works fine, but if my head is turned to look back as I am backing up, I cannot see the screen on the dash. The MB manual states: “If active brake assist detects that there is a risk of collision, you will BE WARNED VISUALLY AND ACOUSTICALLY. If you do not react AUTONOMOUS BRAKING CAN BE INITIATED IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS.” And further that “autonomous braking works at 4-124mph for moving objects and 4-31 mph for stationary objects.” I have made at least 4 visits to two different MB dealers and all they will tell me is that “their computer shows no problem.” They are unwilling to drive the car to attempt to simulate when AEB should work. All of these are common features on many $35,000 vehicles in 2018; I have driven some of them and the alerts and auto braking + rear cross traffic and rear pedestrian alert works very well. MB corporate is incredibly uncooperative which is truly shocking for a company that prides itself on its safety record and reputation.

Still arguing with #Mercedes about the mold building up and smell in the AC system on the 2016 GLC300. Had this issue since new! They will not stand behind their products even though there’s a class action lawsuit. Everything in the lawsuit says they have to pay for future repairs, yet every dealer refuses to do it. Any attempt of remediation results in being re-read the terms of the settlement, and then transferred all over the place until there’s no solution. I have two Mercedes I bought new: an E300 in 2017 and a GLC300 in 2016. These will be my LAST Mercedes cars. Their brand name and the premium costs you pay mean nothing as they do NOT support their customers or the products they make. I will be replacing my cars with Tesla or another luxury brand going forward. Keep losing customers MB!

My wife and I leased a brand new E350 almost one year ago. My father has the same car and we had driven every iteration he has had over the years so we were very familiar with the car, and liked the way each of his drove. The car had issues as soon as we drove it off the lot, loose parts, noises in the trunk, and rough/unpredictable shifting of the transmission. The loose parts and noises were fixed when we took our new car in to the dealer 5 days after we picked it up. They also replaced the rear tires. The car still shook and shifted roughly. So since the dealer we bought it from still had our traded vehicle, I suggested it would be best for all involved to return the car and we would leave with our trade but they refused. I contacted MB corporate and wrote letters to the President of MB North America. I was told to continue to bring the car in for service since that was what the warranty is for, but I find this completely unacceptable for such a pricey car. In almost of a year of having this car weve only driven 4500 miles because we feel the car is unsafe to drive. We pursued a lemon-law case, but since the descriptions on the repair orders are written by different people who are interpreting the problems the best they can in limited space, and since the shifting issues are intermittent, the Board ruled against us even though the car exhibited the unpredictable shifting/acceleration on the way to the hearing. We have been treated poorly by the dealer we leased the car from, and from MB Corporate who makes the Customer feel like there is no real issue with the car even though a search has revealed that the 7 speed transmission in these cars are not working correctly. Weve asked that MB re-purchase the car so we can get something that performs properly and that we feel safe driving. My wife has had issues on the highway because of the unpredictable acceleration of the car, when you expect to pass or avoid a car and you press on the gas, sometimes the car does not initially respond, and then lurch forward unpredictably. One of the board members hearing our case stated that modern cars exhibit a 2 to 3 second delay when accelerating because they are not connected to the carburetor the way older cars were which is just nonsense, but thats who is reviewing these things. I am shocked at how MB treats their Customers. I never received a response from the President of MB NA by the way. I can provide all my e-mails, letters, and repair orders if needed. MB portrays themselves as a premium brand but they treat their customers poorly and step all over them with a legal team and experts who can easily confuse board members hearing lemon cases. MB could have taken back this lemon and I would have purchased a more expensive model if they were good business people, but they are more interested in forcing the Customer to pay for a sub-standard car so that they can hold on to their image as a prestige brand which in my experience it is not. Ive had Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and Mercedes automobiles and Ive never had anything close to this type of experience. We continue to bring the car to the dealer which has been a major inconvenience and not what you expect from a brand new car.

I am contacting you on behalf of my brother who owns a Mercedes C220 CDI Avantgarde since December 2009. After being told that the galvanized steel is rusting on the rear wings, it broke down - unable to start. The garage replaced the alternator, water pump and the belts, but while returning home, some dashboard lights indicated another fault. He was told not to drive it as a risk of fire. Another garage re-wired it and told him it had been on fire previously. Once again, on the way home, the faults showed up on the dashboard so he had to take it back to them once again. Now, the garage is having to look further into the problem. However, when he got the car, he was not told that the car had been on fire. My brother is not happy because it has cost him 845 pounds. Until now, I would be grateful if someone can get in touch with him. Thanks.

I have a 2 year old, C class AMG, still under MB warrantry. When bought from a non franchised MB dealer which had 4,500 on the clock when bought - It now has 7,800 on the clock. In that time the front discs have been changed once at 6,000 miles and are now due for change again. With a different issue. For the first week or two, the brakes were perfect. Then I could feel the brake pedal was pulsing. After a new set of MB discs. Current issue with these, is horrendous vibration on the car all over the car at minimum braking. (Anything above 20mph). Hard braking, the vibration disappears until you start easing off on the brakes. Or, you get below 20mph.3 weeks ago, it was booked into, first MB (Solihull) dealership, on latest discs changed at 5,500 roughly and car was showing 7,000. Lucas over the phone called me and said front discs are warped. Told him not correct (or words to that effect.) Cant be, its had new MB discs. He told me. In which case take it back to the (non) franchise dealer you bought it from and get them to repair it... which I was not happy with it the slightest. So, I talked to the manager of the dealership and he pacified me by saying, its a known issue, when bolting the wheels up to the hub (Basically fed me **, it turns out). So, two weeks ago, took it to an independent garage. After telling them the issues. They said instead of just slapping new discs on. They would check everything. So, they clocked the wheels to the hub. Both fronts running true. Then clocked the front hubs. Drivers side was running out 0.005 though. Passenger side was running bang on. (So, MB Solihull were wrong, and were effectively going to fit new discs to a hub that was out?)At that point Id decided never to use MB Solihull again. Due to Lucas telling me to take the car back to the dealers Id bought it from over the phone and an incorrect fault diagnosis. I think they were more interested in carrying out the software update to the powertrain module, than sorting out the issue I had with the brakes (Probably never even took the wheels off. Just drove the car. Experienced the vibration and fed me, what is in the customers handbook). Lucas said he would e-mail me the report. Needless to say, that never happened. Yesterday the non-franchised dealers I bought it from, had it booked it into 2nd different MB (Coventry) garage. I though to cure the problem. The dealer told MB Coventry, everything wed learned from the independent garage.I phoned MB Coventry at 2.30pm and was eventually told that theyd found the problem. It was rust on the hub and you have a broken bearing. So youve cured the problem? No. Weve not been told to cure it. And started to talk about corrosion on the mating faces. etc. Straight out of your How to get out of sorting a known issue handbook. (I was not polite, as by then Id realised that I would be driving this heap of scrap on the motorway for another week).Got off the phone and phoned up the garage who stripped the car down last week. They said no signs of rust on the hub. Then phoned the dealer and apparently MB had quoted for Two hubs. Even though one hub was running true... not sure what else they quoted for. Just knew they were trying to rip me off. I then went to the Coventry branch to pick the car up and discuss with the manager, the issues I have. He shows me pics of the hub and shows pics of the broken bearing. So, incredulously I say to him, youve stripped a car down and put it back together again with a broken front hub bearing, and are going to hand that car over to me? (Basically called him a liar as I didnt believe the hub he was showing me, was mine (Even if it was. The implications of giving a car back to a customer with a fault such as that, doesnt bear thinking about). He talked to me, out by the car and went all over the wheels looking for any signs of bangs or refurbishment, even suggested the wheels werent the originals... While he was doing this, I noticed that the outside areas of the wheels, were still covered in brake dust. So, voiced my doubts that theyd even taken the wheels off, at all. He persuaded me they had, as the wheel nut areas you could see no brake dust. Which brings me to the question that if MBs wheels/hubs, etc. are so critical on their mating faces that they need to be spotlessly clean. Surely the very first thing MB should do, before removing the wheels, is to remove any brake dust on the outside? So, when bolting up the wheels, Your not compounding the problem?(The car is vibrating all over the place. A bit more brake dust isnt going to make that much difference). The manager also blamed refurbished wheels? Everything basically that was not covered, by the MB manufacturing warranty. I then said, there is no way I would ever, take a car of mine to MB for anything and I wouldnt trust their mechanics to put my great grand daughters Lego together if their latest diagnosis on my car is to be believed. I will never buy an MB again, as they obviously have a serious design defect, that needs addressing, if the brake discs are that fragile. Manager agreed by looking sheepish, if that makes sense. My perception of MB is that they like scaring people into throwing their money away. Total whitewash with respect to my customers complaint. Obviously couldnt give a damn about their (ex) customers. More interested in trying to screw as much money out of gullible customers as they can. Clearly a good business model. But one ex-customer isnt going to make a difference.

There is a manufacturer defect at 57,700 miles. Premature failure of the balance shaft gear due to manufactured with poorly hardened metal. Mercedes Benz refused any help whatsoever for the $5,000 to $7,000 repair. If you own a 2003-2010 Mercedes Benz, better start saving your money up for the repair bill! Mercedes Benz says to Navy service member: We here at Mercedes Benz want to thank you for your service but since you arent the original owner and you havent had your car serviced at a Mercedes Benz dealer, we cannot participate financially. Wow! They cannot stand behind their product or the Mercedes Benz name either. They just hide behind a line of **! We just bought the car 9 months ago. I havent really had a chance to get it serviced at the dealer until the manufacturer defect showed up!

I purchased a Mercedes 500 SL from Mercedes dealer in Wisconsin. The car was shipped to me to Houston, Texas. It was 2006, the car was still under factory warranty. The first month I bought it, the transmission went out so I took it to Green Bay Mercedes dealer. They put a brand new transmission. 2 years later, I shipped to Jordan, Amman. The transmission went out again, so I took it to a Mercedes dealer in Amman. I had to pay this time, $4700 to rebuild the new transmission. I am so disappointed with Mercedes Benz now. I feel like I just bought a lemon.

The Good- I brought my first GLE-350 Mercedes in September of 2016. I love the look and thought the Customer Service would match the luxury feel of the car and it did, until it didn’t. I attempted to give a jump start to another driver at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak and my beautiful SUV started displaying “Inoperable”. I called Roadside Assistance and Michael from the Bloomfield Hills location came to my rescue, literally. Michael, was great. He diagnosed the issue with my SUV. He stayed with me and explained the issue to the towing companies. His expertise and professionalism was phenomenal. Michael use his expertise to force my car into neutral even though another Mercedes representative stated that it couldn’t be done. My SUV was dropped-off Sunday evening at the Novi location near my home. Michael called me Monday morning to inform me that he explained what was going on with my SUV to the service tech at the Novi location. I called the Bloomfield Hills location to inform the Manager, Steve on how great Michael has been to me. I told Steve that because of Michael’s great customer service skills I wouldn’t mind staying with the Mercedes brand. The Bad & the Ugly-I arrived at the Novi location at 9:00AM to see what was going on with my GLE-350. I was greeted by Serica, so I asked about the status of my SUV. Serica told me she just started at 9:00AM as she checked her computer. Serica stated that it was assigned to a technician and without an appointment I was lucky to get in. Also, that she would call me with any updates. I thought to myself since I’m already here why wouldn’t she ask the technician the status. Two minute after I left, Serica called and told me the parts had to be ordered and that it would take 4 days. I asked Serica for a loaner car.Four days was a long time and I need a car for work. Serica, stated that no cars were available and that I would have had to book a car two weeks in advance. If I would have known two weeks ago that I was going to blow a fuse in my SUV then I would have planned. I called again on Tuesday, and asked for a Manager. I spoke with Johnathan to see if I could get a loaner car for work. I was highly disappointed in the customer service at the Novi location. Johnathan haven’t returned my call from 9:30AM Tuesday morning. On the other, Serica called to tell me that they are hoping to receive the part sooner than 4 days. In the meantime, I have a credit on my account because I paid my SUV bill for the remaining year with no car to drive. I truly expected Mercedes customer service to be best-in-class. I have driven an Acura for years and Acura’s customer service is top-of the-line. I really thought with a slogan like “Drive the best or nothing”’ the customer service would surpass the rest and be the best, boy was I wrong.

Mercerdes 2012 GL450 - I had to replace the Continental Tires with less than 24,000. I found out the MFG doesnt even have a tread warranty for these tires. These are the cheapest tires available for this vehicle. Mercedes put my family in danger with these garbage tires and I will never purchases another Mercedes again. I have never in 31 years of driving have I had to replace tires that were totally shot with 24,000 miles on them. The dealership and corp said this is normal tread life!!!! We have always had Lexus in the past and Mercedes is not even close to the quality. Dont buy a Mercedes with these junk tires on them if you like your family.

I have a Mercedes E 350 and expired warranty in May 2011. It was always repaired by two dealerships near me. Now, while I am driving, car stalls and check engine light comes up. Isnt this a serious safety issue? Why not Mercedes Benz of USA not recall this issue and fixed the problem? People can be killed on the highway when this happens? This happened to me almost five times up to now. I called both dealerships and they cant take the car until middle of next week as of today (December 23rd, 2011). I am so frustrated with this serious safety issues that we are having with this E350 model or any other. Could you be able to help consumers as ConsumerAffairs.com?

I highly recommend Mercedes-Benz. I have 1996 w124 250d with the OM615 engine non turbo version for last 3 years, currently 500,000 km or even more. No problems with it, everything works smoothly like it was built yesterday. Fuel consumption is great 6.5l/100km on motorway. I love the suspension in this car, it feels like driving on a cloud. I would say that its one of the best engineered cars ever made. Car is very reliable and never had any major issues with it. Also service parts are not expensive and widely available and doing service or even changing brakes is very intuitive and doesnt cause any trouble so everyone who owns set of basic tools can do it. I understand that the car is almost 20 years old and some people might think its awful and ugly, I suppose its up to individual taste. I personally love old-school cars. Used to own 1990 BMW e30 325i, 1991 VW Golf gti and 2000 BMW E46 320, them cars where not bad and it was fun driving them. But w124 gives me so much driving pleasure.

This is my 2nd ML320, Yr. 2000, 63,000 miles. The first was a 98--a LEMON. Last week a man was checking the oil, and the hood suddenly dropped. Luckily, I was standing there and stopped it from decapitating him or causing a brain injury. However, it did cause a serious blow to the head. The Mercedes dealer in Tucson, AZ said this was a known danger. The springs/shocks wear out. Repair would cost $200. Mercedes Benz is negligent in failing to warn owners of this known danger, and knowing the danger exists, in not installing a security rod (as I have in my 87 Honda Prelude) in case the springs/shocks fail. Someone could be killed or decapitated if this heavy hood dropped on them. The Tucson Mercedes dealer was unwilling to lower the repair price from $200, so I took it to the mechanic who has kept my 87 Honda running for 28 years. He replaced the springs/shocks in the hood for $25 each, total $50. At the same time, to prevent a fatal accident or head injury, if the rear tailgate springs/shocks should fail, he replaced them for $30 each, total $60. So brand new shocks for both the hood and tailgate cost a total of $110, rather than $200 for only the hood as quoted by MB.In addition to this life-threatening problem, the sunroof does not work, the locks dont work, the rear windows get gummy if theyre rolled down, the plastic cover over the inside light on the tailgate falls off whenever we open the door, the automatic seat adjustment doesnt work, the air conditioner compressor died, etc. We are terribly disappointed in this car and in Mercedes for not standing behind their product, but rather charging exorbitant prices for repair. This is the second lemon weve had from Mercedes. Both were purchased NEW from the Tucson Mercedes dealer.

For the S-500: Power steering unit at 60K; new fuel pump at 61K; new A/C at 61K; new auto door lock system at 65K; new ignition at 65K. Every part cost $800 plus and $150/hour in labor. I have been a customer of MB of Boerne Tx for a few years. I purchased my last vehicle from them. I will not be going back. On June 27, 2017 I brought my car to MB to check an engine issue. I utilized one of their loaners. I picked my car up the next day and drove to my house. I opened my trunk to grab my cooking cutlery which I had put there the day before only to find it gone. I did a quick check of everything else in the car and found I was missing two other items. What makes this so frustrating is I blame myself since this is not the first time Boerne MB employees have stolen something from my car. The other time, I reported the theft immediately to my service advisor Linda who gave me a complimentary wax job. She told me she had reported that theft to management. I should have emptied my car out before taking it there but I was in a hurry and forgot my cutlery was in the back.I did not bother to go back and report it because obviously nothing would be done or it would have been done the last time this happened and would not have happened again. The main reason I am providing this review is so other Mercedes-Benz owners do not make the mistake I made and become a victim of MB of Boerne employees. Empty your vehicle before you leave it with them.To MB management, I sincerely doubt I am the only one this has happened to since it happened to me twice. This would be easy to find out which of your employees is the thief or thieves. Plant something in a vehicle and track it. You will catch them sooner or later. You have lost my business but maybe you can prevent this from happening to another customer. Had you done this after the first time I reported it to you it might not have happened again. Dont get me wrong, I blame myself but even after the first time I thought I could trust you. More fool me... it has been an expensive lesson replacing my Wusthof cutlery set but it is a lesson learned. I will utilize MB of San Antonio from here on but my car will be empty regardless.

Good afternoon. I am a Mercedes C300 owner and recently I have had some problems with my car not starting...I took it to the RBM Mercedes in Alpharetta, Georgia for diagnostic review. The diagnostic presented with a problem within the steering column which caused the vehicle to not respond. I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

I bought a 2006 S65 AMG 2 years ago with 72000 miles. This car has been nothing of a money pit. I found the original owner and he supplied me with receipts for repairs that totaled $7000. Within the first few months owning this, I had to replace the front strut... $3000. One year later, the ABC system hose failed draining all the fluid and destroying the pump. Cost to fix this? $10000. I did get a Vehicle Master Inquiry from the dealership and this car has been constantly inside the dealership. For a $172000 car when new, this thing is a MAJOR embarrassment for MB. I later did research only to find other horror stories with Mercedes and their top of the line S series. I understand routine maintenance is needed on these, and was done on mine. Doesnt matter. They are still very unreliable cars. The Best or Nothing...? LOL!!!

I drive a 2011 Mercedes Benz E350. The extended warranty is expired but it only has 89,000 kms on it. First issue, the air conditioning gives me heat instead of cold air. I had sensors to replace after checking warning light codes. The main issue Im having with Mercedes is there is a tear in the leatherette seats in the drivers side. The car has only 89,000 km. I can understand the other issues and how I would be out of pocket, but I would expect a much higher quality standard for an $80,000 dollar car. I had assumed the seats were made out of real leather and would be stitched properly. This issue I expected Mercedes to resolve. However, after many attempts the best they offered was to pay for half the material (about 25% of the total cost). Mercedes is not the quality of vehicle that their image portrays. I would not buy another one in the future, back to BMW for my next vehicle.

M-benz will hurt you. After my wife having a major electronic failure came home quite shaken just after leasing the Mercedes Benz sl63 AMG, I had the car checked. They said there were no error messages in the computer to collaborate her statements of the lights and the gauges going crazy inside and out of the car, with numerous error codes coming up. We later found out Mercedes Benz has their on board computer set to reboot with critical failure there by wiping the memory clean of the event. After other numerous electronic failures and not getting Mercedes to fix or even acknowledge them, even with photos and video, we were almost killed one night on the open highway on Oct 7 2013 when the same event that happened to wife finally occurred with me in the car. When the electronics went on rampage and freak-out lights flashing, bells dinging, flashing error codes and emergency message causing me to try to get the car on the shoulder of the road, I struck a piece of tire left on the road probably by a truck. It took the whole front of the car out. After 6 weeks of waiting for our car I called Fletcher Jones in Nevada. They told me they could not get the error codes to clear but not to worry, they were going to get it cleared up. 2 weeks later we got the car. I asked what it took to get the codes cleared up, he smiled and said the tech crashed the on board computer and it reset itself. When we drove the car back home from Vegas we had transmission trouble and error codes. I called Fletcher Jones in Las Vegas Nevada. They told me to take the car to Fletcher Jones in Ontario, 15 miles from our home in Verdemont CA. They kept the car for a few days and when they returned it they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and there were no error codes. After several trips back to the dealership, half of the time they would not take the car. They refused to keep it till it was fixed and they would call me when the part came in. Before the part came in we were informed that my father in-law was on his death bed. I called, explained the situation and asked if they could expedite the part so we could take the car back east. I was informed by party dial that their main tech guy, George, said the car was safe to take back east the way it was.On our way out to pa, when we reached Flagstaff we started to have problems with the trunk not closing and the trunk opening while driving on the highway. By St Louis we had electrical problems and the trunk would not lock or close after opening. We drove to pa with trunk wired shut. While in pa the car was at Mercedes 4 times in 5 weeks. We were forced to stay an extra week waiting for parts to come in. We were told that the electronics were screwed up in the front of the car. Just outside to Amarillo Texas the same thing happened with the electronics that caused the accident and damage to the front of the car in October 7 2013. This time we caught it on video. We almost made it to the side of the road just before the car stopped running and went dark. The car coasted to a stop. We had no cell reception. We waited in the car for awhile. Out of desperation I tried to start the car and it sprang to life like nothing happened. Thank god we got this on video. It DID not matter to Mercedes Benz when I sent the video to Fletcher Jones in Ontario. They said not to bring in the car, they would show the video and Mercedes Benz and get back to us. They never DID!!! So much for the mantra the best or nothing.

I bought a used 2012 C300 MB from a dealer with 24,600 miles. The vehicle has 4 years 50000 miles warranty. The ac on the car stop working no cold air. I took the vehicle to MB South Orlando to repair the ac. The vehicle was involved in an accident on the left front fender and was repaired and they leave out some missing weather strip rubber when the repair was completed. The car had 29,300 miles and still under warranty when I took it to this money hungry dealer. The service technician said the warranty on the vehicle will not cover the repair due to missing parts under the hood that has nothing to do with the AC and I have to pay for 3 hours labor at $150/hr to diagnose what is the reason for no cool air.I took the vehicle to my local mechanic shop and in less than 5 minutes he found out the condenser was bad. I had him replaced it for a cost of $497.00, just a few more than the cost for a so called certified technician to find out what was wrong in the first place at the dealer. I contacted MBUSA and the fool I spoke to also resonating the same sentiments the service adviser at the dealer told me. So I said to him if I buy a car at the dealer upon driving it out to the road the car was hit that means the warranty is void? He said no, so I was very confused with this fool as well. I have 5 vehicles and all warranty job done on them I did not had to pay a penny to have the repairs done at the dealers. Both MB South Orlando and MS USA are all thieves. I told the person at MB USA the way warranty works is you take the vehicle in to a dealer, they find the problem, the warranty dept. is contacted and they pay the dealership for the repair cost. This ** about diagnostic cost is all a scam. All you MB lovers out there beware, do not buy cars from this dealership and do not buy Mercedes Benz vehicle. They are overpriced, the dealers and corporate office provides the WORST customer service ever and all you are left with is the bill to pay. In short they suck. If I had purchased a used vehicle from MBSO with warranty on it I assumed they would have fixed it. I guess they were not happy I bought the car from other dealer. This is the last MB I will ever own.

Mercedes SLK 350 2012: Bad burning like smell entering car below steering wheel. Reported this to M.B. Canada and dealer when I bought the car. I was told to watch for oil drops, antifreeze etc for 3 years. Finally I found how I could demonstrate the smell to the dealer, who kept the car for over a month and drove 2000 km. Could not find the problem. Car was returned and I was told that they are unable to correct this problem and one of the managers will contact me. It might take a long time. That was August 2017. I wrote many e-mails, but nobody wants to talk to me. I am very unhappy with the people representing M.B. I also contacted Germany, but no help. I also contacted M.B. Germany, answer - Contact M.B. Canada which I did with no help from them.

I, Mian **, resident of **, am an old customer of Mercedes Benz as I purchased my first car of this esteemed brand during 2009. Recently, I intended to purchase a new Mercedes-Benz C-2000, for which I placed an order with the firm cited above on June 29, 2011, revised on June 30, 2011 without changing specs of the vehicle agreed with the firm. As per requirement of the firm, I deposited a sum of PakRs. 1 Million (Roughly equal to US$ 11400) as down payment. I have been in contact with the firm after that till I finally received a letter from the firm that the vehicle is ready for delivery and I was advised to deposit the balance amount, to which I agreed. Thereupon, I visited the firms showroom on October 4, 2011 to settle the payments and have a look at my vehicle. I was shocked to see that the vehicle shown to me was not as per agreed specs, most importantly; its color. The agreed color, which was also mentioned in all correspondence between me and the firm, was Magnetite Black while the vehicle shown to me was white. When I told the firm that this vehicle is not as per agreed specs, they tried to threaten me and asked me to sign an amendment of our agreement to change agreed specs for accommodating the vehicle shown to me instead of supplying me a vehicle with pre-agreed specs. I, nevertheless, remained steadfast and refused to sign any amendment in agreement despite their threats of extreme consequences, in the presence of their armed guards as a symbol of threat. The firm has gone beyond limits by communicating with me that my down payment is being forfeited on charges of not conforming to the agreement on my part. On the contrary, I confirmed to pay the balance amount vide my email in response to the firms letter to me informing me that vehicle is ready for delivery. I only refused to pay after looking at the vehicle that was not as per agreed specs. The objective of narrating above facts, and enclosing all the relevant documents and correspondence between me and the firm, is to bring to your notice as to what kind of customer dealing is being undertaken by the firm authorized to represent an esteemed brand Merced Benz in Pakistan. Fully cognizant of the value that Mercedes-Benz gives to consumer satisfaction, I am confident that you will probe into the whole matter and address my grievances.

Its a nice car. I like the feature of heated seats and also sunroof. Window looks nice too because if you slide them down front and back both then it looks like a sports car because its not separated. Cars outlook is beautiful. Especially the shape of the car is much nicer than others. I liked everything in the beginning but its not good for everyday car. This might be for 2nd car if you have extra money for the car because its too expensive for maintenance and there is some electric problems after you purchase 3-4years later. I think there is too many accessories inside of the car and also outside as well. Thats why I have some problem sometimes. I like the most of features but then internal parts fell off and light ball fell off in front. This car started to gives me problems pretty soon.

I bought my C300 back in 2010 from Walters in Riverside, CA with two year extended warranty. I paid $3000 extra. At that time, Vincent, the agent who sold the car to me said that the seat covers were made from genuine leather. But last year the seat panels on driver side and passenger seat in the back were torn apart right where the stitches were. I went to the dealership in Fresno, CA, but they could not help neither the MB headquarter in New Jersey. I rolled back the cover and found it was made from vinyl. The C300 manual says the seat cover is made of genuine leather and the interior trim is made of wood. These are not true. MB is being dishonest and lied to me. I found on the internet that a lot of customers were reporting the same problem. I am still waiting for the defective airbag to be replaced. MB wants people either forget about the safety issue, die naturally or sell their cars.

I took my Mercedes Benz two weeks ago for service. The vehicle while idling accelerates on it own. Another issue when I press on the brake, squeaky sounds manifest. The button that ascends the rear shades doesnt work. As of today, Mercedes in White Plains has not called me to let me know whats wrong with my car. It appears Mercedes Benz reputation for good customer service is truly in decline. The staff has been nothing but unresponsive and inattentive to customers needs. Jeremy was the intake service person.

Purchased a new 2015 GLA250 4matic. Had nothing but problems with the car. Last Saturday it was not drivable at all anymore (so much for a almost new car). Roadside assistance from Mercedes made me wait 4 hours after they decided not to show up at all. Me, my friends called them several times. We got hanged up, put on hold for a total of 75 minutes. Had to go back on Sunday so they finally could tow it. Called customer service and they did not care at all. Too bad. My last Mercedes and also as a shareholder I am disgusted by their behavior.Updated on 11/07/2016: My now 2 year old GLA has to go to the dealership for the 5 time for repairs. The car is an absolute nightmare. The quality of MB has gone down badly and they are truly not worth the price. For 40000 I could have gotten a super equipped x1. I have to say again: after my lease is over I never go back to MB.

My 2002 Mercedes E-320 (purchased brand new) has had many electrical problems and it only has 110,000 miles. I stopped taking it back to the dealer (RBM) a couple of years ago because their service charges were absorbent, I didnt feel they valued me as a customer, and there was always multiple additional problems that they would claim they found wrong, costing at least a couple thousand dollars each time I went in for service. A couple of years ago the cluster failed. The locks would not work, the gas tank it would not automatically shut off, the speedometer would not work, the car was sluggish, etc. The cluster was replaced. The rear right light cluster has been replaced three times. Last October 2014, while driving, the radio abruptly stopped working, the doors would not lock, and the trunk would not lock automatically; I had to manually lock and unlock the doors and trunk with the key. According to the mechanic, a couple of fuses needed to be replaced. He disconnected the wiring for the radio to work until the fuses were replaced, but the doors would not lock and the trunk could not be unlocked. He replaced the fuses and everything was fine until the week of Thanksgiving. Any time I started the car, the trunk automatically popped open and could not be reclosed. We finagled the lock closure on the open trunk with another metal object to lock the trunk while it was open. We then pushed the button to unlock the trunk and it was able to be closed and remained closed until we stopped and restarted it again. This problem persisted about three days and then abruptly stopped. A couple of weeks ago the problem started again. I took the car to the repair shop and the mechanic said he did not know what was going on. He said he reset everything and the problem went away. However, a week later (today) the problem returned. I have to keep a small pair of scissors in the car to maneuver the inside trunk latch to lock the trunk while it is open and then push in the outside trunk button to unlock it and it is then able to close. However, each time I stop at a destination and restart the car, the trunk pops open and will not reclose unless I get out, while the car is still running and go through the maneuvering routine. I called the mechanic and he said he is not sure what is going on; I would have to bring the car in again. If bad fuses caused the issues in October, could there still be a bad fuse or could it be something that he did not reconnect?

I bought a brand new 2014 S-class, spending a grand total of $134,000. This is my third Mercedes Benz product. I gave MB another chance after learning they revamped their quality control and assurance programs. The past two cars had its share of very expensive problems, both electronic and mechanical. I have MB another chance on a S-class. Beautiful inside and out, great performance, and loaded with mind blowing tech. Its the biggest purchasing mistake I have made in my life. The first 3K miles resulted in speed sensor failure. At 3.5K miles, another speed sensor failure. At 5K transmission warning light. Dealer could not remedy until they consulted with MB. Warning light reappeared after three days. Decoded and reset fixed it. Now comes strange vibrations during shifts that can be felt in the accelerator when pushed. Dealer claims simple adjustment needed. Problem not solved to date. At 7K instrument/video cluster vibration during highway speeds. Dealer cannot duplicate because they cannot drive it above 65mph. The vibration seemed to remedy itself but I do not believe its resolved. I also complained about the significant amount of brake dust from the front right wheel/brake. Dealer replaced brake pads. At 10K the transmission warning light reappeared. When pressed hard, the transmission would jerk/jump/shoot like a true piece of junk manual transmission. At this point, I made it a mission to return the junk to the dealer. I didnt care how much I would lose, I just wanted them to take it back. The lemon law may have applied but I dont have time to jerk around with MB after three of their cars. I drive quite a bit between hospitals for work and my time is valuable. The amount of time I spent going back and forth to the dealer was nothing short of a nightmare. MB dealer will give you every excuse possible always stating that my S-class is one of a kind. Talking with other MB owners waiting at the service department, Ive learned that most of them were there because of a malfunction, not routine maintenance and/or oil changes like at Lexus. I do not have the car anymore and I have returned to living a normal life in a wonderful Lexus LS F. I have close to 12K with absolutely ZERO issues. ZERO! Goodbye Mercedes Benz. Strike three...youre out!

January 30, 2014 I leased a 2014 C300 from Mercedes Benz of West Bloomfield in Michigan. Upon arrival while picking up my new lease I was advised that my car has been hit and damaged and I would not be able to pick the car up. I waited almost 2 weeks because the paint was being shipped from another country. After that I picked up my car and had no problems with it until June of that year. My first attempt of turning on my AC for the summer was a failure. The AC was not working on my brand new Benz. I took it in for service 5 times for the same issue and every time they assured me that the problem was solved only for it to happen again. Yesterday July 27, 2014 I was driving on the highway going 70 mph, 2 miles before my exit I decide to get off the highway, and thank God I did or else I wouldnt be writing this right now. As soon as I got off the highway my car went from 50 to zero in a matter of seconds.Thankfully I got off when I did or I would have died on that highway or I could have killed someone. Still in a panic I called my dealership and explained what had happened, they told me to contact roadside assistance and have the car towed there and that a loaner car was waiting for me. And so I made the call, I waited for them for an hour. My car could not turn on and it was 95 degrees outside. Finally when the gentleman arrived he loaded my car and we started driving. He then informed me that my car was going to the Novi location which was 30 mins away from where I was now. I explained that my car is to be towed to West Bloomfield, the driver stated that he could lose his job if he did not drive to Novi. I called roadside assistance and they spoke to the driver and told him to turn the truck around and take me to West Bloomfield, he did not listen. We finally made it to Novi, Im beyond furious at this point. The representative at the desk said, I dont have a loaner car for you, and the earliest we could look at your car would be next week. After an argument between myself, the tow guy and Novi dealership I got back into the truck and drove 1 hour in the opposite direction back to Bloomfield Hills. Upon arrival my loaner car was ready. I was then on my way. I then called corporate and advised them of what had happened. I also told them that I no longer feel safe in my car and I either want my lease terminated or to be put in a new car. Today they called me saying it was a computer problem (the whole computer burned out) and once they change the computer my car will be running fine again. I refuse to drive that car, Im waiting on a call from corporate. In conclusion, Mercedes Benz sucks!!!

I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. Our review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks; during that time we will be evaluating a review of all repair orders, the number of down days related to those repairs, the overall repair history and your individual state’s statutes.

You reviewed in the last week Quality Poor to Fair Appeal, Poor to Fair Service, Poor to Fair. I was very displeased with my last two services. Last time, they left three bolts out of the pan causing a rattle and a bolt out of the center brace at the top center rear of the engine. This is a brace that you would remove to change the air filters. On the service done today, the service rep Barry told my wife she needed $8,000 worth of repairs and she had him call me. I asked Barry what needed to be repaired. He said, For starters, you havent had your transmission serviced in 40000 miles. I said, Are you sure? He said according to his records and the service department records, it had not been serviced. Well Barry, I have a bill here that said I had the transmission serviced the last time I was there. He told me I had a serious oil leak at the oil cooler. In the last 10000 miles, the oil did not drop as much as a fraction of a quart. I normally wash my own car, check my oil and keep the area under the hood spotlessly clean. If I had all the oil leaks that he told me I had, I would notice. I will now take my car to one of the best transmission specialist I know and see if they really serviced my transmission last time. I have another Mercedes Benz that I have had for 27 years that was purchased at Snyders when they had the dealership and then I paid for the transmission to be serviced four times over the years and twice at Carlton in Greenville, SC. The transmission failed and I found out that that transmission had never been serviced once even though I have service records to prove that I had. I thought I had finally found an honest MB dealer in Mercedes of South Charlotte but I am pretty sure there is no such thing as an honest MB dealer. It is impossible to send your wife to have a car serviced and expect a fair deal. Its not an issue of money as I can certainly afford what I want. I am just tired of being ripped off. I met the owner and his son and I was really impressed that I had found a dealer I could trust but I can tell you now, run, run as fast as you can away from an MB dealer. They thrive off of wealthy people that have more money than brains. My phone number is ** and my name is Carson **. Call me if you want to know how I really feel.

My 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350 was diagnosed with a balance shaft problem at another shop. I brought it back to Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge to check and make sure the diagnosis was correct. The service manager Dan notified me that I did have the problem and that it would cost approximately $6,000.00.I had been talking to MB USA about some type of assistance. MB USA notified MB of BR and promised to pay 50% of the bill. I only had $2,000.00 which I told Dan. I went and borrowed $1,000.00 to repair my truck. MB of BR kept my vehicle about three weeks. I was called by Dan on Wednesday, August 10, to tell me that my vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 5:45 p.m. I paid for the vehicle and drove it to Prairieville, LA, approximately 30 minutes away from the dealership. I went shopping at Walmart. I cranked my vehicle at 7:05 p.m. I heard a loud noise and the car cut off. I restarted and I had plenty of codes on the screen. I immediately called MB of BR at 7:09 p.m. and left a voice message about my vehicle. I returned the vehicle to MB of BR the next day. I was notified yesterday, August 16, 2010, that several sensors had gone out and it had nothing to do with the repair work that they completed on my balance shaft. I was quoted $1,700.00 to fix this problem. I only drove the car for 30 minutes, approximately 20 miles, and my car broke down. I was never notified about any other issues with the engine; however, I was made aware about some routine maintenance such as new tires, brake pads, and a shock. I have tried to talk to the owner, Joe, the service manager, Dan and Bryan, who is over at the repair area. I also talked to Gwen and Margie. Bryan told me that I told Dan to only fix the balance shaft problem. Dan and I disclaimed that statement. I never told anyone at MB of BR to only work on the balance shaft problem. I never knew anything about other problems and was not given that information. When I left MB of BR, my vehicle was clear of any errors. Bryan claims that he even drove my vehicle approximately 70 miles and he did not get any codes; however, within 20 miles of me driving it, it broke down. They disconnected the electrical system and removed the motor, and MB of BR is telling me that the new problem did not stem from them working on the vehicle for three weeks.

The brake sensor light came on in my Mercedes 350 ML. I stopped driving the car and took it in for service. When quoted a price, they said that not only do I need my brakes changed, but I need the rotors changed as well. I asked then what was the purpose of the brake sensor light if by the time it went on, the brakes were so worn that it affected the rotors. The response was that I should have brought the car in for service earlier. I have had numerous problems with this car. The door for the gas tank fell off. The service agent accused me of breaking it off. Why I would do something like this, I am not sure. The rear seat belts continually get stuck, endangering the safety of my children. The console between the two front seat squeaks. The rear view mirror is loose. All minor problems, but something you do not anticipate in a car of this type.

I cannot express in words my disappointment and disgust in my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz. I will never own another model. It is certainly not what I would expect from a luxury car or a first-class dealership. I researched for several weeks before choosing to purchase and finally deciding on the GLA. The fact that it was a Mercedes made the decision easier for me as I knew it would be a car that would be flawless and have unmatched resale value. I purchase a new 2016 GLA 250 on July 18, 2016. After driving my brand new GLA for only 2 weeks, I took it in for an unusual wind noise coming from the drivers side window. I trusted that because the car was sold to me with an obvious factory default, the dealership would make every effort to remedy this problem and ensure customer satisfaction. I was heartbroken to be told that it could not, and would not, because the noise was due to the way the car was factory-made and attempting to do any repairs would void the extended warranty that I had purchased. To date, no one from the dealership or Mercedes-Benz has contacted me or made an attempt to remedy this situation. Unfortunately, because of this experience, this will be the first and last Mercedes-Benz I will ever own. The unfortunate thing for Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont, whether they realize it or not, is that my husband is a bank president in a small town about 25 miles west of Beaumont, that has three locations, and I work in a thriving school district in a town 30 miles east of Houston. Between the two of us, we know a great deal of people. We know first-hand, about customer service and how vital it is to a business, large or small. We intend to tell everyone we know of our horrendous experience with that dealership. To add insult to injury, I have since received an email indicating that I have received new inquiries on my credit, which may lower my credit score. It did indeed change my credit score by significantly dropping it several points. The report details show they are all due to inquiries from Mercedes Benz. After contacting MBUSA by phone and in writing, this is the response I have received: Hi Pam, thanks for your patience. Your comments have been shared with our colleagues at MBUSA and we regret to hear of your continued dissatisfaction. Our colleagues advise, that they have already confirmed their position with regards to your vehicle. For this reason, they will not be making further contact with you at this stage. We appreciate your understanding. Kind regards, your Mercedes-Benz Social Media Team. I have started the process to cancel my extended warranty and will be selling my GLA as soon as possible. I have reviewed the GLA on several websites unfavorably and plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau regarding the horrendous customer service at Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont. For a company known for first class customer service and satisfaction, you should be embarrassed to have colleagues such as those at MB-Beaumont in your employ. I have since read countless reports of the same wind noise from other owners on various websites. DO NOT PURCHASE A GLA!!! As for me, I will NEVER drive another Mercedes. There are plenty of other luxury models to choose from.

I had a 2006 ML350. It spontaneously caught fire as it was parked two hours after I had driven it. The firemen state in the report it was an electrical fire and started from a short in the rear taillight harness, much like the investigation in the C-class. They could determine that in only twenty minutes time. I brought this to Mercedes Benz USAs attention and they were careless about the safety dangers that this caused/posed. They said it wasnt a manufacturers defect. Might I remind you the car had been parked for 2 hours. God forbid if consumers found out that the ML-class would be involved in the same investigation as the C-class. They were of more concern about this being leaked or exposed and tried to sweep my case under the rug. They held my vehicle for about 2 months for their investigation and not to have any conclusion of the manufacturers defect is complete BS. They told me that the fire was inconclusive and not a manufacturers defect. Get this! They only gave me one case manager and limited me only to speak with her. After I had asked to speak to numerous other managers and higher ups they told me I strictly couldnt. After being trapped in this corporate cover up I had nowhere else to turn. SUSAN (my west coast regional case manager). How many other vehicle cases did they sweep under the rug like mine? I do not expect this kind of cover-up from Mercedes and would expect them to stand behind their vehicles. I only had 76,000 miles on it. An absolute nightmare!! THIS WENT TO CBS2 KCAL 9 THE BBB, NHTSA, numerous auto blogs ,CAS and the Federal Trade commission . IM STILL NOT DONE!!

I purchased a brand new E250 convertible on January 23, 2012. Today is the July 23, 2012, my car has been rattling since it was 2 weeks old. It has had a new shock absorber, new bearing, windscreen replaced, bonnet re-aligned new parts to the A frame, roof greased, dashboard taken apart and now it is having its very own sound byte test. I will never purchase a Mercedes again. I thought I would be getting a beautiful prestigious car. Haha, how wrong could I have been.

I contacted Mercedes and was told I would have to tow my vehicle to the dealership and Im looking at a minimum of $2500 to diagnose the problem. Of course the warranty expired at 50k miles. Im stuck and at a loss. If anyone has had similar problems with their C250 I would love to hear what it was.

My car overheated and was towed to MBPS. Repairs were done on the cooling fan, thermostat, expansion tank, motor mounts and power steering leak (following a recent replacement of the power steering pump), only to have the same thing happen one week later and find loose wires to the battery, air mass sensor out of specs, and low movement on the cooling fan (all work replaced by MBPS).Ive been had for the third time by MB. They also cheated me out of one year warranty when I bought the car.

We have owned our Mercedes C230 since we bought it new in 2007. The Mercedes has outlasted our BMW 325i and our Toyota Tundra. The car still drives like new. Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW and Toyota still had strong engines, it was the many little thing that went wrong. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes. We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C230.

I went there to purchase a GL 450 2015. The purchase was all cash. We agreed on the price and after waiting for the finance guy to clean up his desk which took a lot of time, we were ready to sign the papers. After two hours being in that dealership the sales manager came and informed us that the general manager wants us to sign a paper and also put $10000 security deposit in order to make sure that we are not going to ship the car to China for two years and then they will return the deposit. They even took a copy of my Dental license. I objected the security deposit, in the beginning after consulting with someone they agreed to the signing a paper and copy of my license. After signing almost 90% of the paperwork the guy got a phone call and then told us they cannot go ahead with the deal. We wasted more than two hours in that dealership and felt very insulted. The General manager think everybody is a criminal otherwise they prove they are not... just not American way.

Mercedes-Benz dealership service in Pembroke Pines is the worse unprofessional people that I ever encountered on my experiences with Mercedes-Benz. From the service manager to the technicians, (if you can call them that way) they simply do not know what are they doing. There is no difference taking your vehicle to this place or a regular shop in 441 in Hollywood fl. In fact, you probably not going to have this bad service at ridiculous prices and you can be treated with most respect and professionalism.

The keys to my 2013 Fortwo Smart (**) car has fallen apart. The plastic key covers to open and lock the car has fallen off, and now I cannot lock my car whatsoever, and the key does not lock with pushing down of the three plastic cover buttons on the keypads to properly operate the vehicle. They are very poorly produced and made for this vehicle. The dealers cost to purchase a new key is $310 per key. There is no other place to get another key made for this type of vehicle. The consumer who purchases such a vehicle should not experience their operating car keys to fall apart from normal usage.

I bought my car E350 4matic 2012 last year around April and a few weeks ago
I bought my car E350 4matic 2012 last year around April and a few weeks ago, my car started making a tapping noise. I took my car to the closest MB dealer and after a day or two, they finally found that the car had a wrong size wrist pin in the piston. They offered to change the 6 pistons and the connecting rods all together. I have friends who build engines and flip cars from scratch, so I ran the issue by them. I even had one of my friends to talk to the technician adviser and pinpointing the real issue. At first the dealer was telling me that there is an oil lash in the pistons. After my friends talked to them and corrected them that there is no oil lash in the pistons and the tapping noise can only come if the wrist pins are not the correct size. Since the car came with defective parts and they changed almost the engine, I believe the value of my car has diminished and the MBUSA should compensate me at least by extending the warranty. After several phone calls and emails, someone in the name of Joe called me from the MBUSA and told me that he will talk to the dealer and the service adviser; and he will get back to me. So I got a call yesterday and result was/is disappointing. He told me that MBUSA did not grant any extended warranty and that is why the original warranty is there for. My next step is to file a complaint to Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau Virginia. Did anyone else have any issue similar to mine on their E350? I am certain my next car is not going to be a Mercedes Benz. What would you guys do if you were me? Thanks for your inputs in advance.

Have been driving a new ML350 for about 5 months and just noticed that the warning for passenger rear doors that are NOT latched closed is only given after the car is in motion 6-7 MPH? Seems too late for anyone (young child) or maybe anything leaning against the door (hopefully seat belt will protect against falling out). I tried this, just barely closing the door (not latched at all) and no warning at all!I asked Mercedes Customer Service and my dealer and they both confirmed the door open warning is speed sensitive and only alarms/displays after the car is in motion, traveling at least 6-7MPH. I checked and they are correct. All other cars I have owned gave an indication (usually visually and audible) either prior to, or the moment the car was put into drive. Seems like obvious safety oversight? Did not expect this from Mercedes. Obvious Safety Flaw. Why hasnt NHTSA caught this yet???

The best or nothing isn’t that your motto? That is precisely the reason why I bought a Mercedes.A couple of months later I was looking forward to taking the car on our annual Penn State football trip. Everything went well on the way up but on the way home while I was traveling at 60 mph, I heard a loud bang. At first I was all over the road and there was a moment when I didnt think I was going to regain control of the car but I did, and pulled off to the side of the road. Not a good ending to the family trip. Thinking it was a flat, I was preparing to change a tire and then noticed that the tire was fine. Four and a half hours from home in the middle of nowhere and I had no idea was had just happened. After an hour or so, the car was towed to a Lexus dealer in Louistown, PA.Since the owner of the Lexus also owned an MB dealership, I assumed they would be able to fix it. I finally got a rental car and was home about 7:30pm on Sunday night. The people at the dealership called me at 8:15 in the morning and were very nice and sympathetic. They indicated that a spring broke and that it broke the axle boot. How is it that a spring breaks on a car with 42k miles?Unfortunately, they were unable to fix the car but set me up with a contact person at Mercedes Benz of State College and even called there to let them know my car was coming. It took about a day to get the car to MB of State College and that is when my experience changed for the worst.I found out that my third party warranty doesnt cover springs but covers everything else that was broken, but because it was a cause and effect they will not cover anything. By the way I was still two days without my car and more than 300 miles away from my car. I have owned a lot of cars and not one of them ever had a spring break. I was curious to know if this was perhaps a recall or something so I called MB of North America. On Tuesday at 4pm, I spoke with a great guy who took my info down and said I should hear back from someone in 24 hrs. The next morning, I called MB dealership of State College at around 10am and spoke with Brian who told me that MB of North America was paying for everything and they will pay to replace the other spring as well because that is the right thing to do. I was very happy and proud once again that I purchased the car. I thought; wow a company that stands by its product. On Friday, I called Brian to make sure that the car was going to be ready. He asked me if I have spoken with a Lindsay ** (Case Manager) from MB of North America. I had not, and asked why. Two hours before I was leaving for a 4-hour drive to pick up my car that I thought was repaired and the expenses were paid for, he indicated that Lindsay was confused and that they should not have said that they were going to pay for it. At the end of the day, the individuals at MB dealership of State College took it upon themselves to determine that if the car was certified before I purchased it they would get MB of North America to pay for the repairs. I was under the impression that my complaint got MB of North America to pick up the tab but I was wrong. Lindsay realized their mistake and what was going on and quickly offered me a credit of $400 to any MB dealer and that it will not expire. She sent me an email which said to contact her 1 week before to make an appointment. That was nice but Im still out $1,000 for the car repairs as well as a couple of hundred for rental cars. All of this due to a spring breaking on a Mercedes Benz with only 42,000 miles.

Im not at all impressed with the kit you have replaced instead of a spare wheel... I am driving your make of cars for 20 years and never found fault, but unfortunately I have had 2 punctures in 3 weeks and each time the kit didnt work. My car is 7 months old with low mileage. This happened in a car park firstly and I had to call recovery the second time I was on the motorway and was stranded for 3 hours. The first tire cost €140 and because it wasnt the correct thread my pressures were out so I went to my nearest Mercedes garage and a new tire was €129.00 then the system balanced. Then on the motorway another tire at a cost of €150.00. All because this new kit didnt work for me.

I purchased an E class in 2008, and got the hard sell about the extended limited warranty from the salesman, so I purchased it for more than $3,500, believing what the finance manager told me that it would be refundable, if the vehicle was sold or traded in before the extended limited warranty went into effect. In December 2010, my husband decided to trade in the vehicle, because an illness prevented me from driving it, and I requested a refund of the warranty as the vehicles factory warranty would not expire until April 2012. The dealer referred me to Mercedes Benz USA and they told me that the warranty was not refundable, as the warranty only allowed me to cancel 60 days after I bought the brand new car with a 4 year factory warranty. I kept telling them that this did not make sense and the 60 day rule for the refund would logically begin 60 days after the extended warranty went into effect. Mercedes corporate absolutely refused to budge from their position, and have pocketed my $3,500, without doing anything for my money. I have been a loyal MB customer for 20 years, and have purchased 5 vehicles in that time frame, and I find it unacceptable that the big international Mercedes corporation found it necessary to keep my money.

It has been a very reliable auto. I have always like this model. Its a sedan and I love sedans. I bought it used at a good price. It drives very smooth and has good gas mileage. It is roomy too. The controls are easy to use as well. I like the color and the low maintenance needed for the car. Very dependable, great for road trips. A friend hit a deer. The damage was severe and it kept on running. The only downfall to this car is the cost of parts and maintenance. The repair always recommend only using Mercedes parts from the manufacturer and there is a great difference in cost compared to some of other vehicles. Finding used parts is hard and cost more. Even the oil change cost more than other vehicles.

Please note that while this review pertains to a 2008 C300, I have spoken to owners of two newer model C300s, and the consensus among us is that reliability is far less than expected, and repairs are more frequent and more costly than we anticipated. Since owning this car, I have replaced several very expensive components, including a drive shaft and steering lock. During a single year, my repairs totaled $3,000. During the following year, repairs were $2,000. These are just two examples of a lengthy list of costly non-maintenance repairs. When I questioned the dealership about this track record, the salesman said, When customers ask me this, I tell them that its to be expected with a high-quality vehicle. TRANSLATION: You arent the only one whos had this experience. For me, the C300 is a low quality vehicle with a fancy emblem on the hood. I will never consider this brand again. If you decide to buy Mercedes, review buyer experiences before you do. You may save yourself a lot of heartache - and a lot of money.

I lost my Mercedes E350 key. Ordered duplicate key, paid $100 for key and $170.00 shipping from Texas, I am not sure what kind of shipping they use. If I order two keys they said double shipping charge. So I settled for one. Key comes- it does not work. Call the dealer they said it never happened before. I need to get car towed. Call my insurance they sent a tow but he could not get car out of park. Then called Mercedes USA they sent a tow person. He said “I do not know”, finally I talk to dealer who got mechanic on the phone and gave him instructions. Car reached dealership, of course the key is wrong, got another key from Texas and it worked. It is amazing how after charging so much people can be doing such mistakes, no apology and no loaner. I was without car for 3 days after paying $300.00 for key and no fault of my own. I have Volvo and Lexus other cars, they never charge for inspection, but at Mercedes they charge me $29.00 for that also.

The 2016 E350 voice command system is horrible, which is a problem since Mercedes designed this as the primary interface to all the driver functions. Completely useless. The GPS is also completely useless. If you can get it to correctly accept a voice entered address it will send you to the wrong place with the longest route possible. This experience is from Finland. Last year, we purchased a new MB180B and the next day we got the car, I had to get it back to the dealer. I had problems starting the car, and when I finally got it going, it was twitching forcefully. When the engine became warmer, the problem was gone. At the workshop, they started to study the car, but nothing was wrong according to the car computer. But the guy from the workshop said that he thinks there are problems with a component called crankshaft sensor. So, he ordered a replacement component, but then things started to be really strange. The factory said that they will not deliver that component, and I asked why. They told me that this particular component is on the do not deliver list. Finally, they told us that there will be a new different component as a replacement.Well at this point, I made a claim against this and the reason is that a manufacturer is not allowed to deliver cars or any constructions if they know that there is a failed component in it. Or at least they are supposed to inform the customer of this possible problem and then he can decide what to do with it. Anyway, after a few days, I got the car back and now everything is okay, and so on. It wasnt. The same problem came back. The car was back in the work shop, and this has gone now several times. At the moment the car is at the work shop. I already told them earlier that they should get me a new car to replace this one or give me my money back. They told me that is totally an unreasonable claim. A new car which doesnt work, is it so unreasonable to expect that new cars should be okay? Also, during this experience, it has been really hard to get in contact with anyone. The dealer is totally worthless. The car importer is really hard to deal with and the manufacturer in Germany doesnt answer in any messages. The first one I sent half a year ago. Now, I have a lawyer to take care this, and I also took contact with LRQA (Lloyds) who have certified their ISO9001 based management system.Of course, I am angry about the car itself, but also because of this habit of delivering cars included with components that they have themselves declared on not-to-deliver. I was told by them that it is totally normal to replace these kinds of components during a normal service. Actually it is not. It is a hidden/silent recall, and that is against the law and against the ethics as well. We will see what happens. But I would like to give a warning for all possible car buyers of this kind of actions from Mercedes-Benz.

This dealership should be called the Pinocchio Mercedes Dealership because their deceptive practices are unbelievable. I leased a new Mercedes 2 weeks ago with the only requirement that Id be able to keep the same features of my 2019 car. They lied and cajoled me into a lease only to later find out that I had better features on my 2019 car. They agreed to return my car after going back and forth over the past two weeks after I was able to show that promises were made in writing that couldnt be delivered. So they promised to return my car that had 11,000 miles on it two weeks ago and take back the SUV that didnt have satellite radio or a decent set of speakers or the option of navigation. Today I return their car that I drove for 112 miles. They give me the key to my car which someone has driven almost 2,000 miles with all the filth of the employee that they allowed to drive my car. Everything about this place reminds you of a car dealership that relies on bait and switch sales. Even the manager, Katrina, who went out of her way to tell me that Mercedes would not take advantage of a senior citizen and that as an ** she treats everyone as she would want her ** older parents treated. This is not information that I solicited as clearly she was trying to demonstrate that she would never take advantage of senior citizens. Well if I was a betting woman I would bet that the only ** DNA that Katrina has is from an ** ancestor. The way a business treats current customers merely demonstrates how you will be treated if you lease or buy from this dealership. As a clinical psychologist I dont need to go out on a limb to tell you that if a person lies about something innocuous then they wont hesitate to lie to get your business. Shame on Mercedes for treating your customers with such disrespect and disdain. The fact that they couldnt be bothered to wash or vacuum a car that they drove to Timbuktu (in 2 weeks???) during a pandemic and never disclosed the wear and tear on my car by an employee tells you everything you need to know about Mercedes San Francisco!

A recall on my CLK500, 2006 for a bonding issue sliding roof. About a year ago, while driving east bound on Highway 90 in Chicago IL, My sliding roof bonding gave way. As I was driving the sun/moon roof flew off. Thankfully no other cars were following closely and no one got hurt. After I got home, I ordered the part and got the car fixed. Just about now, I received a message from the dealer on a open recall for the same issue. Since I had already got the vehicle fixed I was hoping I would be reimbursed for the cost of parts and labor. As per the dealership this is an issue that needs to be addressed by Mercedes support center, while The Mercedes support center suggested the opposite. Been going in circles.
