I bought my 2016 C300 Mercedes approx. six months ago. Three months after I bought it I started hearing a beeping noise that is coming from the engine when its turned off. The beep last 2-3 seconds and happens every 6 seconds. The dealer initially told me theyve never heard of something like this but after I showed them my google search they said theyd look into it for me. Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. We purchased this Mercedes and expected to be getting a well-built car. We are very disappointed in the quality and that Mercedes expects us to just live with this noise because its normal.

2008 MB e350 sedan with gas, fuel pump failed and the replacement for a California high efficiency emissions car has a metal tank that is not repairable. The pump is built in and cannot be replaced w/o replacement of the entire tank costing $2800 for parts only. There is a warranty for all gas e350 due to leakage of gas but the metal tank is excluded and I have no recourse to repair or replace except thru m/b, no aftermarket parts or anything. Has anyone have success with this unique problem in repair or replacement?

Mercedes-Benz totally ignores the customer complaint. Will even go as far as lie to you and literally hang up the phone on you! I bought a slk280 used with only 14,000 miles on it within a year and a half. I noticed that the clear coat was starting to come on. I contacted the dealership where I bought it. They told me that it was probably acid rain so I contacted Mercedes and they said that they had no problems with their paint. I believe them. 2 years later my problems way worse and then I find out that other people with the red and silver paints are having problems with the clear coat peeling! If youre having the same problem please contact me through Facebook. I would like to help, by way of getting people together who have the same problem to start a class action lawsuit. Apparently Mercedes will pick and choose who they are willing to help and usually its those who can afford an attorney!

Its a 2006 Mercedes R350 with 63,000 miles. All recommended service was performed at the suggested mileage, including regular oil changes every 4,000 miles (synthetic oil). Engine started making ticking sound when running. I put it in for service at Park Place Mercedes. They replaced a pulley at a cost of $700, and did not solve ticking sound. Mechanic informed me that ticking sound was normal. Of course, I did not agree, but was unable to convince them otherwise. Two months later, It had complete engine failure, without warning. The cost of repair is $15,000 (same as value of car). I requested assistance from Park Place Mercedes and Mercedes USA since the car was out of warranty. Park Place Mercedes denied any assistance in fear they could be held responsible for missed diagnosis 2 months earlier. Mercedes USA offered $2,000 toward repair and since has rescinded the offer and indicated they would provide $2,000 toward the purchase of a new Mercedes. What am I to do?

I purchased my first Mercedes Benz, 2007 GL450 in 2010 from CarMax in Louisville. The car is very nice in luxury but has been a money pit from day one! After thousands of dollars in repairs, I still owe $12k and cannot afford to sell it with all the issues it has. I still need about $8000.00 more in repairs!Well, last night I drove to dinner with some friends. Approx. 45 miles rt. I parked it in my garage at 6:30pm. At 12:30 am I went out to the garage to take the trash out before retiring for the night and I felt heat from the Mercedes as if it had been in the sun for hours. I felt the hood and it was very hot on the right side of the front hood. So I pulled it outside the garage, in case of a fire! Mercedes does not intend to help me with this issue. I will have to call a tow truck today and be without my car. I was suppose to work in Chicago this week. Now I cannot. This is going to cost me loss in pay and tons of money. I am in fear of my life, but is need to work! I just read several reviews that this model has caught fire and destroyed homes and lives. I dont know where to turn for help. MB needs to recall these cars! ASAP! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

The Mercedes C63s sits atop of the MB C class line and comes standard with the works in terms of AMG tuning and design elements for that extra bit of luxury and massive amount of performance. The 63s is NOT a cheap car by any means. In fact it probably sits atop the segment in terms of price. BUT, the car handles beautifully, fit and finish is spectacular and the engine note from the twin turbo V-8 is out of this world. If you want a car that appears docile, feels luxurious and sedate, but performs and sounds like a car 10 times the price, then you may have found your match.

2014 Mercedes S550 4Matic - Humming noise between 50-60 MPH. Ray Catena of Edison, NJ kept my car for 4 days trying to figure out what the issue is. They said they contacted Mercedes and said Mercedes is aware of this issue. I will be contacted when there is a fix. I said can you put a date on the fix, they said NO. What am I suppose to wait 5 years for a fix? Dealer said to contact Mercedes customer service and be a Pain in the butt and see if they will declare my car as a lemon - well that didnt work. Mercedes contacted dealer and dealer said, they have duplicated this same issue in several other S550 and that it is a part of 4Matic system. Bottom line: Getting rid of Mercedes and never buying it AGAIN in my life. Stay away from THIS BRAND.

I am very disappointed about how Mercedes-Benz being so irresponsible of the subpar products which they do not stand behind. My friend purchased a brand new Sprinter back in 2017. After less than a year and just over 24K miles, the car had failed to accelerate with very noticeable knocking noise coming from engine compartment. My friend took it to Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn and was given a lame explanation of cause by water buildup. He was given an estimate of almost $30K to replace the whole engine assembly. How ridiculous! The price tag for the truck is about 60K and less than a year and under 25K miles later, it needs a new engine! I can never imagine a brand name like Mercedes-Benz would produce a subpar product like this and yet refuses to stand behind. I do not think it is the right approach to retain existing customers and attracting new customers. I would give 5 thumbs down if I had the choice.

We had a 2012 GL450 which we loved. It drove like a dream and convinced us Mercedes would be our choice from that time on. The navi system and controls were the only negative issues. So with that in mind, we upgraded to a 2015 the next year. Totally different car. The headrests are a nightmare. They are big and chunky, and the second row rests bob continually. You have to use pressure to lean back, and it drives passengers insane. You cant leave the rests down with passengers because it is a hard rock in your back if you do. I could go on and on about these. They cant be removed and when we asked the dealer if we had a lemon, he said he checked, and some do it and some dont. So no satisfaction in that.Another change is the seat controls are up higher on the door and not down on the lower part of the seat. This is inconvenient to me. Hard to explain but you tend to look at it when adjusting rather than feeling and keeping your focus on driving. Also, there is restricted movement with the wheel. In the 2012, when you adjusted your seat you could then adjust the wheel to any position, ie up/down/in/out. Not so with this one. Depending on the position it will not give full range. So I cant customize it to fit my comfort. The 2015 does handle well and the navi system is better, but still is not equal to some of the other car companies. But the insane headrests are the deal breaker. We are ready to trade/sell and find another company other than Mercedes.

I purchased a 2015 S Class Sedan on Nov 11, 2016 with 18,500 miles on it. A week later I started to notice the transmission downshifted hard from 5th to 4th. My car has been in the shop going on 14 days and this is after having it looked at once already. I am told today, that updating the software did not work which it took Mercedes 13 days to tell me that after already doing it over a month ago the first time. So, it appears it is a guessing game now, they say it may be the valve body or it could be this etc... nevertheless, it is in disrepair. I am currently driving a C300 loaner and while I am appreciative of the loaner, I did not buy a C300. I am making the payment for the S Class. The worst part is, they cannot tell me when they will have my car back to me.

I have had numerous problems in my 4 year old ML 500 with the Airmatic suspension which I think is an untested, failed technology. As a result I have spent several thousand dollars replacing the suspension despite the fact that I never go off-roading with this car and also drive carefully to avoid the delicate suspension breaking down. My previous complaints to Daimler as well as their Middle East dealer have had NO RESPONSE! That suggests that not only is the car bad but also the support offered by the vendor is non-existent. I cannot see any reason to buy a new Mercedes especially when there are much better German cars available out there.

We purchased a 2010 GLK 350 with around 70,000 miles on it. It performed well for several years although the headlights do not light far enough down the road. The driver seat MB-Tex upholstery failed in two places very quickly. $1100 repair. At about 100,000 miles the car would not start. The electronic ignition system had to be replaced for $2000. It had Takata airbags so my wife refused to drive it while we waited a year or so for them to be replaced. While waiting, the passenger door lock stopped working so that the door would not open. $1000 repair. About the time the airbags were replaced during the last year two other messages occurred on the dash. Problem with driver seatbelt connection and problem with the passenger seat sensor. $2400 to repair. We are ready to sell it to avoid more repairs.

I purchased a 2015 Mercedes GL-350 in May 2017 with less than 20K Miles on it. I was told that it was still have full factory warranty on it until 4 years or 40K miles. About 6 months after purchased the vehicle; We started to experience an intermittent problem with the rear view camera and 360 view cameras; once in a while when we put the car into reverse, the screen would continuously flipping between rear view and 360 view. I recorded the issue on camera and brought it to the dealer. The mechanic at the dealer looked at the video and drove the car around for 5 minutes then came back and said that he does not see the problem at the moment so there is nothing they can do. About 8 months before the warranty expired, we began to have another intermittent problem with the transmission, every couple of months, the reverse gear does not work. You can put the transmission into reverse, feel the gear engage but the car wont move; we can rev up the engine to 3000 rpm and the car wouldnt move. The only way to get out of that problem is to drive forward for about 1/4 miles, then after that the reverse gear work again until the next time. We brought the car to the dealer, they test drove the car and did not see the issue, so they again told us, there is nothing they can do. Kept having both of these problems every few months, so we recorded the problem with the transmission on video where the dashboard show the gear in reversed, engine rev up and the car did not move (can tell thru the windshield). We bought it to the dealer and show them the problem. They again drove the car around for a few minutes and came back to tell us that there is nothing they can do because the problem does not happen at that time. When the warranty about to expire on this vehicle, I called Mercedes USA (talked to Erik). He told me I should bring the vehicle back to the dealer if the problem comes back, but I will be responsible for all cost of diagnostic and any cost associated with fixing the transmission. I told him I have detail dealer record/video of the problem existed well before warranty expired and it is Mercedes that could not fix the problem. He kept repeating the warranty policy of 4 years/40K miles and owner responsible for all cost afterward, and that was how the call ended. We spent twice the money on this luxury brand and this is how they treated their customers. I will never purchase another Mercedes or any of their franchise brand and I will make sure I tell this story every chance I get.

Purchased a new 2015 GLA250 4matic. Had nothing but problems with the car. Last Saturday it was not drivable at all anymore (so much for a almost new car). Roadside assistance from Mercedes made me wait 4 hours after they decided not to show up at all. Me, my friends called them several times. We got hanged up, put on hold for a total of 75 minutes. Had to go back on Sunday so they finally could tow it. Called customer service and they did not care at all. Too bad. My last Mercedes and also as a shareholder I am disgusted by their behavior.Updated on 11/07/2016: My now 2 year old GLA has to go to the dealership for the 5 time for repairs. The car is an absolute nightmare. The quality of MB has gone down badly and they are truly not worth the price. For 40000 I could have gotten a super equipped x1. I have to say again: after my lease is over I never go back to MB.

My name is Sibongile **, I have a serious concern Mercedes Benz Constantia Kloof Roodepoort, Gauteng. Firstly: I brought A class 160 classic Mercedes Benz only for fixing of the starter, they made a quotation and we agreed on the price which was R15 177.10 and I paid the deposit of R10 000. Surprisingly when I call them to make follow up, Ive been told that the car is losing power. They assume that the problem is on the petrol pump which need to be replaced. Again, they did second quote of R24 583.30. When I went to collect the car, there was another fault of sensor which need to be replaced. Again, the price went up to R32 797.50. The mechanic Jan told me that when they test drive the car the car loses the power again.I called them to find out if the car is okay but they asked me to come to the workshop they want to show me something, they told me that there is other faults in the car that involved ABS or Computer box, the car still giving them same problem of the power. Firstly Mercedes refused to diagnose the car and find all the problems in the car, they do it one by one which I dont understand. Before fixing my car they were supposed to give me the full diagnosis report because there are the specialists but they failed to do so, they told me that the mechanic does not allow that. They are using assumptions all the time. I am frustrated and running short of cash. I might lose my car, even now the car is still with them. Please intervene on the matter. I am so frustrated and running out of cash.

I went to get my car serviced and requested if they would make sure they would wash and clean my car; specifically, vacuum the car trunk. The service fellow assured me that they do it for all cars that they service and it would be done. Well it wasn’t. I expected they would wipe the seats, clean the glass but all they did was a shabby vacuum job and washed the car mats. When I called and complained to Gordon, all he said was sorry they were supposed to vacuum the trunk but I guess they didn’t. He went further to say that they usually don’t clean glass or wipe the interiors at all. But he would mention it to the manager. It was such a cold response from the service provider at Mercedes Benz. He could have said, “Well, whenever you can come by, we will clean your car,” but he offered nothing. Useless cheap service. When you purchase a high-end car, I believe the service and customer care after are very important. It is such a turn off, that I wouldn’t buy another Benz because of the lousy, “give a damn about the customer” attitude.

I made an appointment for 7:30 to have my 300C Mercedez Benz serviced on 9/20/11. I arrived at 6:30 that morning, being the first car to arrive. They took my car in between 7:15 to 7:30. I spoke with sales representative Mari **, and once we were done, I asked if there was a loner available. She said there wasnt any until two weeks. That was an inconvenience because I needed to get to work. She then arranged for me to be dropped off. While in the waiting area (first one), other customers began to arrive, dropped their cars, and left with loners. When I was finally called to be driven to work, I walked outside and there was a loner. It doesnt end there. I was told that I would be picked up. At no time during the day, Mari gave me a courtesy call in regards to the status of my car. At the end of my work day, which ends at three oclock, I wasnt picked up or contacted. At which time, I had to take a taxi to the dealer in Larchmont, NY that cost me 50$. Upon my arrival at 4 p.m., Mari says to me, Oh, your back. I stated, Yes, you told me I was going to be picked up. Why wasnt I contacted? After that being said, she stated that the car was not serviced as yet and that they were backed up. The waiting area was completely empty .No Customers. At this time, Ii was livid and none could give me any answers. Mari kept apologizing, then she said to me, Let me check at the back to see whats going on. She returned a few minutes later and said that they are getting started right now. I immediately told her to have my car brought around and that I will take it to White Plains Dealership. I was totally displeased with the service and disappointed with the way I was treated. I feel that Larchmont Mercedes Benz dealers are racist. I was the only Black female getting my car serviced at the time and the only one that was wrongfully treated. This was the worst experience in my life.

I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. I bought my second GLA here in Brazil at a dealership called Itatiaia. When I picked up the vehicle on 21/oct/15, just as I was outside driving by the first block I noticed a noise coming from the front suspension. I drove back to the dealership and informed to the same person that delivered the car to me. He said it was probably a kind of dust that would disappear soon. After some days the noise was still there and I took the car to be service at another dealership EuropaMotors - that is situated just outside my home. I left the vehicle there on 29/oct/15 with 144km and it was appointed that the front left shock absorber was broken. They ordered a new part that took 3 long days to arrive.I bought a new car that came broken from the dealer. It is not a cheap car and Mercedes sold a car that was not even safe to go to the road!! (This part is essential to the security of the driver and passengers). I am very mad. After almost one week they returned me the car with the problem fixes, they said. Yesterday, the same noise appeared again. And now it is even louder!! I cant believe this is a serious company. I complained to the dealership and to the Mercedes Benz in Brazil. Nothing has been done to really solve the problem. I am now entering with an official complaint to the authorities and I hope to hear from Mercedes with a solution. I dont want to buy an expensive car and receive a broken cheap car as they are proposing to me.

I told him about the car having a lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I also mentioned that he should attend to the fault that they had diagnosed in August 3-8 2012. Zain, the service adviser, started the car and tried to listen to the noises I had complained about. He said he did not hear any noise, and asked me where am I hearing the noise. I said that the noise he is hearing is exactly what I am complaining about. He insisted that there was no abnormality. At this point I had to tell him that this is my car and it is an S Class. It does not sound like this normally. He then wrote on the job card, Rattling noise in the engine, in a way that showed that he was not taking my complaint seriously. I then told him that the noise is not inside the engine but in the the engine compartment. He then asked me to relax, the technician will diagnose the fault; I must just sign the job card. I signed the job card and left in hope that all the issues that I had raised would be dealt with.A week later I received a call from Zain. He told me that they had diagnosed the problem that was giving me concern. He said that the EGR Valve needed to be replaced and that it is the cause of the idling abnormality I had noticed and it also causes lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I was happy with the response he had given me and asked him if my insurance would be able to replace that for me. He told me that he had already spoken to my insurance company and they said that they only repair the engine not anything outside the engine. I told him that it was fine, he should go ahead and have my car fixed at my expense. Two weeks later I received a call from Zain. This time he called to tell me that my cars engine had packed up while parked at the car park after the EGR Valve had been replaced and the car was left and ready for collection. They said I should come and have a look at it. When I got there, the car was on the ramp, the sump was off and smashed and one bearing cap was left on the floor. Rian, the Group Leader, accused me of having the car fixed before it came to Mercedes Benz in Durban because it was very clean underneath the car and he also suspected that it had been in an accident. I told him that I had never been in an accident and my car has never been fixed since the last time I had brought it in August 2012. I told him that my car was clean because it was steam cleaned on the 31st on May, Just before it came to them. I asked him why the sump was open; he said the assessor asked him to have it opened. He further told me that they have found 3 main bearing caps loose in the engine. I asked him if the checking of loose bearings was also an instruction from the assessor. He didnt respond to that question. He only said that the person who was working on the engine forgot to torque it properly. I asked him how was it possible for my car to travel 95,000 km with loose bearing bolts? He then said he wanted proof that my car was steam cleaned underneath. I then went to the service manager, Gerald, and told him that I dont understand how it is possible for the car to smash its engine while parked in the car park with the key not in the ignition. For me with my technical background, it sounded impossible. I also mentioned to him that Rian had made very serious accusations and that those accusations can lead to very serious consequences. I asked him to please do a full internal investigation in order to find out what really happened to my car.A few days later, I received a call from a person who told me that he is the service foreman. He said that the Dealer principal was not prepared to take full responsibility for my car though it was damaged in his premises and he didnt give any reason as to why that was so. He also said that if I want to discuss anything regarding my car I should speak to Zain, the service adviser. He then hung up the phone. This was very stressful for me and I thought that maybe they wanted to see proof that my car was indeed steam cleaned underneath. So I went to the car wash where my car was steam cleaned and they gave me a copy of the receipt. I took this receipt to Zain, the service adviser, and he took it and told me that he would pass it on to management. Seeing that everything had come to a standstill at Mercedes and management was now unwilling to help uncover the truth about my car I remembered that Rain had told me that my cars EGR Valve was replaced by an elderly black man. If I am not mistaken his name is Enock. I found out from other workers that, that man is unqualified, was not supposed to have worked on my car. I confronted management about this and requested a full report from every person who was involved with my car while in their premises before it was reported damaged. I also requested a report from the person who physically removed and replaced the EGR Valve. I never received a response regarding those requests.I heard that Enock, the mechanic who removed and replace the EGR Valve in my car, was taken in for cross examination by management but none of the findings of this were shared with me. I also heard that the workers were threatened that if they shared any information with me that they would be fired. So whenever I go to Mercedes Benz, everybody who is an employee at the workshop avoids me even though I am a customer there. I have phoned the service manager on numerous occasions and I have left messages for him but he did not respond to any of those calls. I then wrote a letter to him. In this letter I expressed that I have been trying to get a hold of him unsuccessfully for the whole week. I have since written three letters to them and have only received a letter from their lawyers as a response to my letters. I have enclosed all my correspondence with Mercedes Benz Durban.I am frustrated with the service that I have received from Mercedes Benz Durban and its management team. It has very little regard for its customers. It is not the first time that I have received terrible service from them. Last year when I sent my car in, in August 3-8 2012, I reported to them that the Mercedes Benz tool kit that is standard in the car as well as the pay as you driver device is now missing from my car and that the insurance company has tracked the device as last being operational in their premises during the period that it was with them. I was told that they do not know what I was talking about and no investigation was conducted even though I gave Zain proof of this from my insurance company (Please contact me for more information regarding this)I would really appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and for this issue regarding my car to be resolved quickly and amicably because I am now without a car and as a result I am very stressed.

On June I bought a Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG. After about a week of having the car a check engine light was on, took the car to the dealer and after a couple of days the dealer told me the problem was fix and it was only a bad sensor. After another couple of week the check engine light was on again; took the car to the dealer and after about a week of having the car I was informed that the 4 fuel injectors had to be change. Car was good for about 3 weeks. After that once again check engine light went on; took the car to the dealer one more time and this time is was the fuel pump that was replaced. I express to the dealer I was very unhappy with the situation. After going back and forth with the dealer about the situation, they told me I had to open a complaint with Mercedes-Benz USA by calling a 1-800 number. I did that and after and received a call from a MB regional manager that told me they review my complaint and were not able to assist me with my problem and explain me that if I wanted to get something done further I shall get legal counseling because they were very firm on their position. After all this I decided to move the page and get rid of the car. I purchase a BMW, which I had always have for many years and never had a problem with. This whole nightmare cost me 30 thousand dollars.

I have purchased about less than a year ago an E350 MB car, brand new from the local dealer in Windsor ON. I started to have water condensation in the right side head lamp. I took the car for its yearly service and advised the dealership of this problem. I showed them the water inside the lamp. There is no damage to the cover, which indicates clearly a break in the seal. Initially I received a response that this problem is not covered by the warranty as it is considered a wear and tear (after less than a year in a part that is not involved in any mechanical movement), then I was told that the problem is so small, it doesnt warrant repair!! Then I was asked to take photos and send them to the dealership and they will send them to MB Canada to convince them that the problem exist!! I found all these excuses outrageous. I am very dissatisfied. After all I am supposedly buying a luxury car, to have such a problem is not acceptable let alone being denied the repair and given lousy excuses.

At 2AM after being off for nearly 10 hours, the passenger seat of my 2007 GL450 caught on fire in my garage, nearly catching the house on fire and killing my dogs who were in the garage with the car. I reported this to Mercedes (MBUSA) and asked that they inspect the car because this was clearly a defect. The internet is littered with stories/complaints of GL450 seats catching on fire (Google GL450 fire). They said they would inspect it. After much prying, they never did an inspection. A friend with a GL450 called Mercedes to ask about these events that are on the internet that I had forwarded to her. They told her that no one had ever submitted a formal complaint on this, that they had never heard of that and she should not worry. This companys disregard for the lives of the people that buy their vehicles is appalling. You buy these cars because you think they are safe, yet when the company has been contacted on numerous occasions about a defect that has the potential to kill people, the company does nothing to fix the problem and lies to customers saying they have never heard of a GL450 catching on fire. Its as if they dont think we can search for things on the internet. I will never trust Mercedes again. I cannot believe they knowingly leave these cars on the road with seat heater defects that are literally like bombs going off when the car is unattended in a garage. This company has no respect for human life.

Is MB serious with the ongoing Takata Airbag recall? I’ve been waiting patiently for over one year for replacement parts. They say... “The defect in your driver frontal airbag inflator on both driver and passenger frontal airbag inflation may cause the airbag to EXPLODE during airbag deployment and could result in metal fragments striking the front occupants, POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH”. Just received a letter saying parts won’t be in until Sept 2018!!! How is this acceptable. I’m driving a death trap!!! Any suggestion on how I can address this or should I just retain an attorney?

A range of problems from drive belt being replaced, alternator, the lights inside not working, clanking from the engine when aircon is on, rear end noise, the car sliding on acceleration (rear end) and then the car misfired and a near miss with a truck. Mercedes has fixed all other than clunky noises and aircon noise. They tells the car is safe, then why is it sliding on the roads and lacking power on acceleration. In the process of picking up my car an hour late from my workplace, they get me a parking fine. They then deliver it back to my home late also. They indicate they will pay the fine, I have confirmation of that. They have not, and the fine has increased. I receive paperwork advising no known issues, though the engine light code paperwork has the misfire in ignition coil noted. My guess is notice done as my car is still not driving well. I ask my complaint to be sent to their CEO. I have not received confirmation of this. Silverstar in Doncaster had advised me that my car is fine and what would I expect of a 2 year vehicle. They offer to replace mine with a demonstrator and inform me they will offer me 35,000 for my 50,000 car and I will need to pay them the gap of 20,000. The dealer principal recommends that yes you should go to consumer affairs. Poor service, poor quality 2012 c180, very disappointed. Here I am now driving a car that does not accelerate and with continuous engine noise and malfunctions. Level of safety felt: zero. I am now due for a service though do not want to be humiliated at a Mercedes Dealership in Victoria again.

Any car but NEVER EVER Mercedes. Why am I posting here? To create consumer awareness. NEVER EVER MERCEDES AGAIN. Worst customer service ever. Mercedes Benz Canada is the worst company to deal with when there is a problem with the car. Complete lack of customer service and they do not care if you are a long time client. They simply don’t care. After almost two years no one is able to find the problem in my 2018 E 400 at Mercedes Oakville and Mercedes Benz Canada is not willing to do anything. After repeated visits for a problem brought to their attention right after we leased the vehicle it still hasn’t been rectified. We have had to escalate to arbitration but still no help because it is an intermittent noise that doesn’t happen every day. Despite multiple employees hearing the noise on multiple occasions they can’t fix it.Mercedes Benz Canada’s response to arbitration was pathetic. Their response was we are welcome to keep taking car back. They have tried to repair multiple times at an inconvenience to us and their only solution is to keep going back. No one expects multiple visits for a noise issue on a car that costs this much. We were so desperate to get rid of this vehicle that we even went and talked to sales department at Mercedes Benz Oakville who knew about the situation but were unable to do anything to make it reasonable for us to switch cars. They just don’t care that we are unhappy and stressed about paying so much money every month for a car that annoys us. Despite providing them with multiple recordings evidencing the noise they still can’t fix it and just don’t care.Over all terrible and worst customer service experience we have ever had. If you don’t want to have any problem, just DO NOT BUY MERCEDES FROM MERCEDES BENZ OAKVILLE. There are lots of other luxury brands to choose from. IF YOU WANT DETAILS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE feel free to contact us. I can even provide documentation and you can make better decisions when you are picking a luxury car.

I purchased a 2016 “Certified” Mercedes Benz GL550 with low mileage. Like maybe 22,000 miles? This is my 4th Mercedes I purchased and got serviced through MB dealerships. Two were new. Two were certified pre-owned. I did not even haggle with Silver Star Mercedes in New York on the price. I purchased a number of upgraded warranties, bringing the total up almost to $80,000. This vehicle was advertised as “certified.” That includes a 27 point checklist on the exterior of the vehicle. When the vehicle delivered to me, I sent pictures to the dealer within an hour of receiving it.There were a number of issues. I sent pics and contacted them, including the owner. The GM, Rob, got back to me and left a message. I tried contacting him back many times, left messages and never got hold of him. Finally, I left a message suggesting he text or email me a time he is available to speak. No response. So I contacted the owner again. No response. I live in Pittsburgh so I couldn’t just go there. Finally, I called a Mercedes Benz US customer service. They said I have to work through the dealership to resolve it. I told them I have tried and they won’t respond! So I tried to call Mercedes a Benz Customer Service another day, hoping another employee would be more helpful.Again, he told me I had to work through dealership for resolution. I said AGAIN that they won’t get back to me. They wouldn’t even call them for me and ask them to please respond. Like I said, this is my 4th Mercedes, with each getting more expensive! I was considering buying a G-Wagon, but forget it! I’m DONE with a Mercedes! I’m going back to BMW. I NEVER in a million years expected such a terrible experience from Mercedes! The damages were only about $1,500 to fix. My local dealer was appalled and got me an estimate. Never buy a Mercedes if you are buying a certified vehicle that you hope the company stands behind!

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... Pretty choke with being sold a 4matic that I love to drive but finding out the tires sold are not the right ones for our climate..

Thanks to diminishing quality and outrageous dealer charges, depreciation on these cars is huge. If you avoid the hand grenades like air suspension, brake issues (2003-2006), exploding early 350 motors, and are prepared to never go near a dealer, you get an outstanding low mileage used car. I have a 1999 E320, purchased in 2009 with 45K miles, well under $10k. I now have 82k on it, and apart from a little A/C work, it has been trouble free and a pleasure to drive. Yes, oil changes are expensive at about $100, but are only required every 12k miles. I also have a 2007 CLK350 Cabrio, purchased last year with only 24k miles for under $20K. I have put about 10K miles on it so far, and it is as reliable and pleasant as the E320.

40,840 Mile service on 2012 E-350. We had our 7 year (70,000 Mi.) service but only 40,840 miles on vehicle completed at Mercedes of Hilton Head which cost $785.46. All prior services, from our purchase in 2012 with 12,000 miles, completed at Mercedes of Hilton Head. They discounted this to $657.37 after I raised heck for billing me $6 for washer fluid I had just filled. The year before the annual service was $902.90. Then I got the breakdown on additional recommendations as follows 1) Replace Transmission mount found collapsed $254.09, 2) Repack and adjust front wheel bearings $518.97, 3) Reseal Left Front Cylinder Head Cover $278.27, 4) Reseal Both Left Side Cam Magnets $291.28, 5) Reseal Right Front Cylinder Head Cover $293.18, 6) Reseal Both Cam Magnets on Right Cylinder Head $395.58 For a total of $2031.37.The last year we put on 4,000 miles with no mention of any of these issues in prior years. While I understand somewhat (again usually 100,000 miles) the repacking needs, the other two items were completely a failure of the vehicle to perform properly and unusual failure (I would hope) of things that I have had cars with over 150,000 miles without issues. I called Corporate, after the dealer gave no assistance, as I thought those repairs should be covered with such low mileage and care given to the car throughout its life. They offered $600 off if all service was completed at the dealership. Ive had a Buick that was 2 years out of warranty with 42,000 miles engine replacement all the way to the torque converter because of the engine failure and cost me $100.00. I always thought Mercedes was a quality vehicle, and I was sadly mistaken. Do NOT Buy Mercedes.

I was told by the dealer that I could not take it home because the check engine light was on and they had to fix it before I received the car, a smog issue with California. You cannot sell a car in California without it going through a smog check. Seeing the light was on, it would not pass smog during a visual inspection. I was to receive the car the following Wednesday, 100 miles away, and they were going to deliver the car to me after they had fixed the problem. More than likely, they were waiting for my cashiers check to clear. I have receipts on all of this, stating they will deliver it to me at a later date and when they would deliver it. The day I received the car, the check engine light was still on and they, the dealer, instructed me to go to Mercedes and get the code cleared because they had put an O2 sensor on it. That was the reason why I did not get the car the day of the signing of the papers. Well, I took the car in to remove the code, but there were 5 codes on it, none of which were related to the O2 sensor! Here are just a couple of codes showing: random misfire po300, and po303, misfire no. 3 cyl and there is more relating to the cam. Now Im looking at thousands of dollars to fix this but they, the dealer, covered their butt by having me sign everything from as is to no attorney if I were to sue them. I want to see all receipts made on this car and see if anything was fixed on it as promised, and the name of the smog company that smogged this car. Im going to file a complaint with the Air Resources Board (ARB). I just want everything fixed with the check engine light off.

I leased demo car last year. Everything was okay. And one day, one of my door lock didnt work from the in & outside of car. So I called service center to schedule a maintenance. And before the scheduled date, somehow the door lock started to work again so I explained to them, Now its working but anyway I need to check up all around car. And they gave me C300 for loaner car. I thought that its gonna just couple of days so...C300 was okay. Now it passed over 20 days and Im still waiting my car to be fixed. Repair service center agent called me couple of times and told me that they are still waiting part from Germany which is acceptable. And later they called me back and they dont have any detail information where the part is. No tracking number at all. This is luxury brand, isnt it? How come they dont have any information. Not even ETA. Im still paying my bill and driving a C300. Loaner car is not an issue at all. I can call them to change it. I just...dont understand how their service is bad like this.I dont want to blame the guy who takes care my car. I know there is nothing he can do. But what. When they sell a car, they are so gentle, but they dont even know where the part is. This is very disappointed.

My C300 Mercedes Benz with approximately 52,000 miles started to have an electrical problem about June 1, 2016. While driving at night, the headlights just went out: completely dark. I was very concerned about my safety, pedestrians and other drivers on the roads & highways. This problem occurred repeatedly over several nights and I decided not to drive at nights for next weeks. I took the car in to Mercedes-Benz of Miami (AutoNation) in Miami Gardens, FL. The diagnosis was that the wires to both headlamp units was corroded and would steadily deteriorate to where the headlights would become totally inoperable. This is outrageous that Mercedes Benz has used inferior quality electrical material that would corrode in a car with only 50,000 +/- miles. Of course, the repairs are not covered because the warranty expired at 4 years or 50,000 miles and the extended warranty expired 4 years ago. The cars sunroof also leaked and flooded inside my car on two (2) separate occasions. I paid the Dealerships to fix these leaks but the last repair was not done properly so now I have water and leaks every time it rains which is now nearly every other day during the summers here in South Florida. This leaves a damp, musty, moldy smell inside my car. Im unable to open the sunroof to dry out inside properly because the little PLASTIC lever broke as Id attempted to open the sunroof some months ago. Everything about Mercedes Benz quality has steadily declined to using inferior, cheap quality and plastic materials. That is why there is so many increase of RECALLS on all makes and models of Mercedes Benz cars and SUVs. Poor INNOVATION, PERFORMANCE & SERVICE: MBs Motto!! Customer Service Manager, Atlanta, Corporate Mercedes Benz USA offered a $260 - discount towards repairs to me, a twenty-eight(28) years loyal repeat Customer who has owned several Mercedes Benz cars since 1988! What an insult!!

I was so disappointed when my husband gave me a keychain purchased at Mercedes Benz for Christmas to go with my new car, an E400. He bought it because it looked like it was Made in Germany. When I removed the tag, Mercedes had covered up the MADE IN CHINA sticker. I for one, refuse to purchase anything MADE IN CHINA, so I returned it. I believe Mercedes should show where their products are manufactured. There are a lot of us in the USA that do not want to continue to provide our hard earned capitalistic dollars to a communist country. Feeling cheated and deceived.

The car computer show Service B. I was asked to pay $695 plus tax. Within that service, there are several points checked, oil + filter and an air filter inside. If there are problems, I have to pay for extra parts and labor. The car is on warranty! I have never heard about any car on warranty to pay extra, until the car was damaged in an accident. The installed GPS within the Navigation System, has extremely old map data and to update, I was asked to pay $ 395+ tax. The GPS has very serious errors. 1. While driving on last left lane Hwy 427 North, close to 409, I was advised to turn left! 2. While driving already on Lakeshore Blvd, East of Browns Line, was asked to turn left to get to Lakeshore! I do believe, that brand new car has to have the newest, actual map data and while the errors are serious, the update should be free of charge, like with any mechanical parts on warranty. The GPS is not even close to GARMIN, where the functions are very logical and easy to use and mine model under $200 had lifetime update plus touch screen.

A year ago I purchased my first Mercedes, a 2010 Mercedes Benz, GLK350. My first foreign car. The car has been driven less than 3500 miles by me. I get into the car over a week ago and the light comes on in the dash (Frontal SRS/airbag). The car will not start. The AAA service came and tried to jump me, with no success in getting the car started. He tested the battery and replied and showed me that my battery was great. Your mechanic looked at the car, after I had it towed to your dealership) and Chris informed me that the battery was no good. (The mechanic stated he could not see what was wrong until I purchased the battery.) And wanted to charge me $500.00. We all know, with common sense, that comment was incorrect.I’ve always known, if I bought a foreign car, I had to know my rights and become very knowledgeable of the Model/Make. So I maintain counsel. I remembered the recall of the airbag and airbag sensor. I noticed the rear taillight not working (A possible symptom due to faulty pyro-fuse.) If the car has a pyro-fuse and this fuse is not properly working, there is no way to start the car. It is not difficult to change the pyro-fuse but the SRS system might need a reset. Also if the issue was at the pre-fuse box. The frontal module has harmed other electrical parts on my car and need replacement. Chris informed me that the problem was possibly the pre-fuse box and it needed to be replaced and my total cost is $1300-1400. He also stated that they were not sure that the pre-fuse was my problem. There could be other issues, but I must pay for the box first before they could find out definitely. I informed him of the recall and he stated the recalls had nothing to do with the pre-fuse box. I requested that he at least repair the recall items. The parts of the recall, he states, are pending. So I find people have died because of this recall, per legal counsel, including the defected rear tail light. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.I AM REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING: For this service expense to be applied to either recall or manufacturer including the battery cost and replacement. Whatever sensor is faulty, the battery was drained. Return my old battery and the pre-fuse box. Make arrangements for a loaner until recall parts are in and replaced Hire employees who are professionally experienced, compassionate, knowledgeable, honest and not greedy to take extra money home to care for his family (per the attendant). If one possesses the traits requested, his sales will increase tremendously.

I live in NH, purchased 2017 GLC 300 in the Spring and was told I would need winter tires (which I always need on my SUVs). Salesperson did not tell me I wouldnt be able to get snow tires for this car. The tires are run flats and the size is a rare run fast snow tire size. MB USA told me I could purchase regular snow tires, but then I would have to purchase a new wheel and tire for a spare at the cost of over $700 just for the spare! Even if I wanted to buy a spare, the car is designed for run flat tires only and there is no place to store the tire and no jack, etc. I told MB that I refuse to buy 5 regular snow tires, and lug the smelly spare around in the back of my car. Additionally, it would take up all the space that I use for luggage, groceries, etc. I am insisting on returning the car. I spent a lot of time considering a new SUV, and would have immediately taken the GLC 300 off the list if I had been informed of this situation. So, here I am in NH, living on a steep dirt road without snow tires.

In June 2008, I bought Mercedes C 200 and until now the car did not reach 40,000 km as my use for the car is very limited (only for travel during weekends). All the regular services are usually done before the due time and only made in the official agent of Mercedes Benz in Cairo. On March 31, 2012 (last Saturday), I went to the agent German Auto Service (GAS) Heliopolis branch in Cairo to check why the car did not start properly. They found that the computer program required to be updated (which is normal and acceptable) and they found as well that the fuel float/pump is need to be changed as it might stop at any time. The senior engineer in the GAS (Mercedes agent) told me that this part should not malfunction with this few millage of the car (39000 km). He informed me that he will contact the company in Germany in order to change it for free or they might share in the cost. One hour later, the engineer came and said he is sorry, the company in Germany refused to do it and I have to pay the full 3,100 EGP. I refused to change and pay because I cannot believe that Mercedes Benz Corporation (considered number 1 worldwide) can accept not to take the responsibility of having short life part functioning properly for only 39000 km in its valuable and expensive products. I am bringing this to your attention and I am sure you will take the proper action to rectify this problem. Thank you.

Both vehicles charged for parts that were changed which did not fix the original problem. I would not recommend using this repair outlet unless you have deep pockets. Simple turbo charge problem ended up costing $11000.00. Worst workshop experience of my life. Same work shop couple of years ago did the brakes on my wife`s car and forgot to tighten the wheel nuts and my wife nearly lost the front two wheels on the freeway. I purchased a used 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230. The car had around 70k miles on it. I was driving home one night and the car suddenly jerked and went into Limp mode. Meaning the car would not accelerate past 40 mph. I was able to drive it to a MB Service Center where I was informed that a sensor inside the transmission had failed, it was an anti-theft related part and could only be installed and programmed by Mercedes. I reached out to Mercedes for some assistance and was told because the car wasnt serviced throughout its life by MB they were not willing to help with the cost of the part. $2,700.My next purchase of a Mercedes was a 2009 C63 AMG. These are high-performance, hand-built engines. I verified this vehicle had always been serviced at a MB dealership before I purchased it. Around 80,000 miles, I was driving down the interstate and was about to pass someone when a check engine light came on and my vehicle lost all power, we were lucky there was enough of a gap in the Houston traffic to pull over safely. The vehicle was towed to Mercedes and was there about 3 or 4 days before they called and told me a wiring harness for the fuel pump had shorted out and needed to be replaced. $700. It took them another 3-4 days to actually get the vehicle repaired. At about 85,000 miles I get a notification that my brakes need to be replaced. Call MB for a quote. $6,000.At about 90,000 miles a check engine light came on. It went off but soon after it returned. I took it to the Mercedes Dealership, 4 days later they call me and tell me my INTAKE MANIFOLD is cracked and needs to be replaced for $3,747.00. This is a hand-built performance engine, are you kidding me? I again reach out to MB USA with my concerns and looking for some assistance, they tell me the service records dont matter and its about 1. If I bought the car from Mercedes and 2. How many times I, myself have had the vehicle serviced by the dealership. From that they decide if they feel the need to help with the cost of the repairs. This part is obviously faulty and Mercedes would be embarrassed if I posted the pictures of the crack in this aluminum-alloy intake manifold and the bubbles forming in the weaker parts of the metal.I asked the Lead Technician what would cause something like this and his response was That would be a question better answered by an engineer. I am not saying all cars dont have their problems, I am saying most of us cant afford the problems Mercedes-Benz have. The parts, service, and maintenance required on these vehicles is extremely expensive and if something happens you better hope you have thousands of dollars laying around that you can use.

In my opinion, the forward collision avoidance system (AEB) in my 7 mo. old 2018 Mercedes C300 SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I special ordered the car with the 997 pkg that includes, Driver Assistance, BAS+, and Distronic. I have been close enough to stopped or slowed down vehicles on the highway, that it should have at least alerted me (beeped) if not started to auto brake. During my 8,000 miles of driving, I have had cars cut in front of me or turn in front (as they went through a red light) and there has been no alert much less any braking. In addition, I was surprised to find that this vehicle apparently DOES NOT HAVE rear cross traffic alert other than perhaps from 2 feet away. That is, if I am backing up and there is traffic coming from the side, there is no alert! Even worse, if there is a pedestrian BEHIND the car or walking behind it, there is no alert other than if they are 1-2 away which is much too close to be able to stop. Granted, the rear camera works fine, but if my head is turned to look back as I am backing up, I cannot see the screen on the dash. The MB manual states: “If active brake assist detects that there is a risk of collision, you will BE WARNED VISUALLY AND ACOUSTICALLY. If you do not react AUTONOMOUS BRAKING CAN BE INITIATED IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS.” And further that “autonomous braking works at 4-124mph for moving objects and 4-31 mph for stationary objects.” I have made at least 4 visits to two different MB dealers and all they will tell me is that “their computer shows no problem.” They are unwilling to drive the car to attempt to simulate when AEB should work. All of these are common features on many $35,000 vehicles in 2018; I have driven some of them and the alerts and auto braking + rear cross traffic and rear pedestrian alert works very well. MB corporate is incredibly uncooperative which is truly shocking for a company that prides itself on its safety record and reputation.

I have had my 2015 C300 W4 since 2018. Here are the facts to my car and experience. I purchased the car at the Rallye Dealership in Long Island, New York. I purchased it at 12,000 miles. As of today, April 4th, 2022, I have a total of 36,000 miles. My warranty had expired in April 2019. On March 9th, my dashboard had a check engine light sign come on in so I took it directly to the Foothill Ranch service center in California. Again, I have had this car since 2018, barely drove or had any miles on it, and always received the A and B service maintenance at a certified Mercedes-Benz dealership. After checking out the engine light, Benz told me I had a positive crankcase valve and needed to replace it. The costs? $1,900. Plus, I had a diagnosis where I would need about $10,000 in repairs. I thought this was absurd being that I did not have any miles on this car or that my car would need such a costly repair plus $10,000 worth of other repairs. I reached out to the customer service team at Mercedes-Benz where I was assisted by a man with the initial S. He came back to me reading off a policy script saying they would only cover 50% of the total repair costs of $1,900... Imagine hearing that Mercedes-Benz wants to cover only 9% of the total costs of repairs my car needs. I reasoned with him letting him know I would cover up to $2,000 of other repairs needed if and only if Benz could cover the replacement crankcase valve. In return, he again reads the same script saying Benz cant do anything else. It was just so disappointing to work with someone who acted as if it was his money that I was asking for. He didnt even empathize or try to advocate for me being that I hadnt even driven this car. Yes, my warranty expired but again, I only had 35,800 miles when I initially brought the car in to check out the engine light. This experience with S really changed my perspective on this company. I am selling my car because I cant believe a brand like Mercedes-Benz couldnt even offer to cover a $1,800 repair out of the $10,000 costs of total repairs I was recommended to fix... Think about that and let it sit with you. This experience has confirmed and affirmed never to buy or support a company where although factually this car has issues and it is a quality issue WITHIN Mercedes-Benz, that youve amounted to a single percentage. Its incredible that I who have made all my payments and paid for all my maintenance services, was told no and that Mercedes cannot offer anything else. Even as a courtesy, nothing was provided. I hope that in the future whoever speaks to anyone or an S who works as Executive Referral Manager will note that they wont help you or will only cover a small percentage. I cannot wait to get this car out of my hands and provide my money elsewhere and not to this company. I am looking forward to the day this car is out of my hands, my sight, and no longer affecting my pockets.

The finance rep called me on a vehicle that I no longer had to tell me that I owed state property tax on it for 2020. The amount was almost 8x what I ever paid one year that I had it which was crazy. I had the lease vehicle only 4 days in the year, 2020, that I turned it in then she said they would prorate it. The new cost was slightly higher than what I paid for one of the previous years. Of course during the call I was getting mad since the rep was obviously lying or incompetent. I pulled out all the previous year’s payments (2019, 2018) and receipts after I hung up on her then called back hoping to get another rep. I didn’t realize it was her and she didn’t realize it was me. I told her the brief situation about the taxes and cost in which she also said it didn’t sound right then she pulled up my account. She then realized I was the person she spoke to earlier and of course it was correct then. They sent me the tax bill saying it was late. What? It was late because the rep called to verify my address to send me the bill. My address hasn’t changed in over 20 years and they never had any issues sending me anything prior. Since you are no longer financing from them the service went down hill. I couldn’t trade that GS in since no one wanted it. Dealerships were willing to pay off my lease rather than take it. On April 3, 2012, I purchased a pre-owned 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL550 from a well-established Mercedes-Benz dealership for reliability and assurance. On September 13th, 5 months later, I heard a whining, grinding sound coming from the engine area. On September 14th, I took the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Encino wanting the dealership of origin to investigate the problem. Their diagnosis was replacement of the ABC pump. After considerable negotiation for what I considered their responsibility, I paid $3015.95. On Saturday, October 13th, I started my vehicle and a red indicator read ABC malfunction. Also, smoke exited from under the hood and oil leaked. Again, it was towed on October 15th to Mercedes-Benz of Encino. After inspection, I was informed the ABC system hose had burst. The initial assessment was $882 for repair. After several emails to the General Manager, I was informed the cost was $629. My argument is two-fold. Although, the vehicle was not certified pre-owned, I expected Mercedes-Benz to had fully inspected the vehicle prior to sale. Second, when installing a new major pump, why not install new hoses preventing this malfunction? The first repair cost was outrageous, and the second cost avoidable and ridiculous.

I had been a Mercedes Benz user for the past decade since Mercedes Benz began its operation in India. I had bought my first Benz E240 in April 2002 through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. The vehicle is extraordinary and has served to my expectation. It is in a pristine condition until today. Satisfied with the vehicle and quality of service here at Chennai, I had bought another Benz in February 2007 (S350K) through Trans Cars India Pvt. Ltd. for about Rs. 82 Lakhs. It had no major or minor problems until December 2010. I had a minor problem with the front wiper controls in 07 Dec 2010. The wiper starts to behave in a funny fashion even when the vehicle is parked and locked. This posed a huge problem. Even after the service on December 2010, the wiper problem was not rectified. It was resent back to the shop on 06 Jan 2011 and subsequently for the same problem on 12 Jan, 30 May and 29 Jun. Still, even after this much attention and care, the problem exists and I was not offered a complete or even a remotely satisfactory answer for the problem. Even more, I was charged for the same unsolved problem by your people again and again.I had mailed you regarding the same but with no clear opinion except a mail for the same. Yesterday, I had to drive the vehicle as my chauffeur was absent. Unexpectedly, there was rain. The wiper did not function in spite of repeated attempts. I had to park the vehicle in the highway and could only start when the rain stopped after an hour. My question is, when my old vehicle is reliable and has no problem, why should an advance model have problem? Why am I not explained of the problems in spite of multiple inquiries and services at your authorized center? Why was the problem not rectified during the service of the vehicle? Why was there no satisfactory answers/replies about the problem from your people at Chennai? If you want more details of the receipt and fees, I shall be able to send it.This failure on the highways could have caused an accident. It is pathetic that a reputed and time-tested concern should deal with a problem in this unconcerned manner in spite of strictly adhering to schedule for maintenance. I hope that my problem will get attended here amicably.

2003 C240 - Rust, rust, rust. The sunroof was repainted, but all the rust came back. Rust on hood ornament all around it. Rust by the doors. Just a nightmare and the dealership Hohen would only paint the sunroof. In this economy, gas is bad enough but now you have a car rusting in front of your eyes because of a lousy paint job and no one wants to do anything about it! Man, we got screwed.

Parking light snapped out of bracket. Trunk opened while driving down hwy for no reason. Has other electrical problems that occur every so often. Spoke to customer service to no avail. Vehicle never been in a accident. Just very low mileage car. Dont buy Mercedes and oh also when you take it to the dealership you gonna wait on parts too.

This is my 2nd ML320, Yr. 2000, 63,000 miles. The first was a 98--a LEMON. Last week a man was checking the oil, and the hood suddenly dropped. Luckily, I was standing there and stopped it from decapitating him or causing a brain injury. However, it did cause a serious blow to the head. The Mercedes dealer in Tucson, AZ said this was a known danger. The springs/shocks wear out. Repair would cost $200. Mercedes Benz is negligent in failing to warn owners of this known danger, and knowing the danger exists, in not installing a security rod (as I have in my 87 Honda Prelude) in case the springs/shocks fail. Someone could be killed or decapitated if this heavy hood dropped on them. The Tucson Mercedes dealer was unwilling to lower the repair price from $200, so I took it to the mechanic who has kept my 87 Honda running for 28 years. He replaced the springs/shocks in the hood for $25 each, total $50. At the same time, to prevent a fatal accident or head injury, if the rear tailgate springs/shocks should fail, he replaced them for $30 each, total $60. So brand new shocks for both the hood and tailgate cost a total of $110, rather than $200 for only the hood as quoted by MB.In addition to this life-threatening problem, the sunroof does not work, the locks dont work, the rear windows get gummy if theyre rolled down, the plastic cover over the inside light on the tailgate falls off whenever we open the door, the automatic seat adjustment doesnt work, the air conditioner compressor died, etc. We are terribly disappointed in this car and in Mercedes for not standing behind their product, but rather charging exorbitant prices for repair. This is the second lemon weve had from Mercedes. Both were purchased NEW from the Tucson Mercedes dealer.

I custom ordered a 2017 GLC and purchased it last summer. Initially we loved the car but there are certain issues that make the car dangerous in the rain and are highly irritating and ruin the driving experience of the car. The cars windshield wiper system is highly flawed. When driving in the rain, whether it is pouring or light rain, the windshield flutter very hard making driving in the rain unsafe, distracting, and highly irritating. The dealership replaced the blades twice before replacing the actual wiper arms. The problem persisted. Once it began raining more, they noticed more and more customers are bringing in their new 2017 models for the same problem. After testing their inventory, they finally advised us that it is a design flaw and there is nothing they can do unless Mercedes Benz issues a recall.I have attempted to contact Mercedes numerous times, but they are unresponsive. I have no idea what to do now. It is very distracting and dangerous to drive a car with wipers that stutter heavily. Finally, the car has electronic issues. Lights inside the car will go on or off on their own. The car will not lock at times. Bluetooth sometimes works, sometimes not. etc.

2017 Mercedes GLC300 GPS is horrible and dangerous. It tells you, Prepare to turn left/right, but doesnt say when, or what street, or what lane. It gives the street or off ramp 500. I advance only. So when I went into right lane & its a right turn only lane so I have to turn but thats not where I was to go! This happens constantly. When I was in HOV lane of freeway GPS said, Exit freeway, but cant from HOV lane. Also on freeway it says, Prepare to exit right, so I go into right lane but the correct lane was 3rd from right lane. THIS GPS WILL CAUSE ACCIDENTS!Additionally to input request you have to go through multiple steps. The MB service staff says its cumbersome & they dont use it on their cars. It also says some roads are not mapped. IF YOU BUY A MB GLC300, DONT PAY EXTRA FOR THE GPS. I now have a Garmin on my dash after spending 2-3K on the MB GPS. The wire is 00Pl Lo. Ugly & it partially blocks my vision but at least it gets me where I want to go safely.

My car overheated and was towed to MBPS. Repairs were done on the cooling fan, thermostat, expansion tank, motor mounts and power steering leak (following a recent replacement of the power steering pump), only to have the same thing happen one week later and find loose wires to the battery, air mass sensor out of specs, and low movement on the cooling fan (all work replaced by MBPS).Ive been had for the third time by MB. They also cheated me out of one year warranty when I bought the car.

I bought a new Mercedes-Benz C 220 on 22-09-2015 but, unfortunately, the car after reaching my home garage which is 300 kms from Dealer Showroom is not able to drive through. Its front doors are noisy from day one & the wind screen is always full with moisture thus reducing the day/night visibility to 30%-40%. After continues complain I have received only mail & call but no technician has turned up till now. Also the website sources show that the particular VIN (**) belongs to C220 model & year of manufacture 2006. I am surprised whether I had purchased a new car or a used car? It seems to ask for a replacement.

MERCEDES GL 350 MANUFACTURED 2012. I purchased the above vehicle from you in January 2013. In October 2013, for the first time, the dash displayed the warning LR Consult Workshop (see attachment). It has taken Laughtons 5 months to identify the problem and I am now advised another 3 weeks to fix it. This is a totally unacceptable level of service. I am also advised that the earliest I will have the car repaired by is Friday 11th July.Since Im leaving for my annual holiday on the 12th, I have no confidence my vehicle will be ready in time whatsoever. I have been further advised that a loan vehicle from you would not be insured for driving in Europe and is therefore of no use to me. I have therefore to revert to my position of two weeks ago when I wrote: I give notice that unless this fault is fixed by the 30th June 2014, then I will ask you for a permanent replacement vehicle of an equal or superior specification. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES MERCEDES.

2014 GLK 350 with 7k miles, I bought certified last month. My 8-year daughter didnt closed door properly, I took car off parking lot and came to street then sudden beeps with picture indicating door is open. I tried to find a spot to stop and close the door, just missed being rear ended because of this. Customer service told that car will only alert you about this when moving 5-10 miles an hour and driver is responsible for making sure all doors are locked properly before shifting out of park. What a luxury, what to alert to driver if car is already on street with speed and what driver can do. The technology is built into car to alert driver but too late. It should alert before driver starts moving and to top of bad design if driver door is not closed properly and driver tries to close it properly with moving slowly, some pressure on brake the transmission shift to park. Why it is shifting to park to make car stall even if driver dont expect to completely stop and just closing door properly while moving in very slow motion. Also ECO mode engine does not stop more than 80% of time with no A/C running. They should change design of alerting drivers beforehand about loose doors or trunk, it is not 19s car. Probably if this is not taken care of, never Mercedes again for me and my friends.

While it is well known as STAR brand and top luxury, comparing MB product support (goodwill) is way bad compared to BMW and Audi. Audi provides up to 12 years power train goodwill. MB with an engine less than 100K with well maintained vehicle failed to offer reasonable consideration for their engine. Their Customer support offered me 1K sales incentive on new vehicle (I have a 86K value vehicle, 1K is 1.17% of the vehicle). I would say if Daimler knows about MBUSA and keep silent this is a big mistake.

Purchased this vehicle in Nov 2015... Today 6/5/2016 is the THIRD time my vehicle has malfunctioned. I will call the dealership again on tomorrow to pick it up and bring me courtesy car to use. Same problem over & over. The car will for no reason chug chug to a halt w/o warning... all the warning lights on the dash come on. It will barely coast and crawl. Luckily it has happened close to my home. The first time MB replaced the wiring harness and a control unit. Was fine for 3 wks then happened again. SAME THING. They kept it 2 wks... Told me it was safe and fixed!!! I received the repair order w/ nothing done to the car on it. Now it has happened again. I will NEVER purchase a MB ever again. I dont feel safe in this vehicle. I paid a lot of $$$ for a STAR emblem... and nothing more.

There is a manufacturer defect at 57,700 miles. Premature failure of the balance shaft gear due to manufactured with poorly hardened metal. Mercedes Benz refused any help whatsoever for the $5,000 to $7,000 repair. If you own a 2003-2010 Mercedes Benz, better start saving your money up for the repair bill! Mercedes Benz says to Navy service member: We here at Mercedes Benz want to thank you for your service but since you arent the original owner and you havent had your car serviced at a Mercedes Benz dealer, we cannot participate financially. Wow! They cannot stand behind their product or the Mercedes Benz name either. They just hide behind a line of **! We just bought the car 9 months ago. I havent really had a chance to get it serviced at the dealer until the manufacturer defect showed up!

Bought a 2019 c300. Major engine problems!!! Now Mercedes is blaming me for oil getting into the coolant, which I’ve seen become a major issue with these cars. It is clearly a Mercedes problem, and will most likely result in a recall. DO NOT buy a Mercedes c300, I can guarantee these issues will be evident. The check engine light came on in my 2006 MB SLK 350. I took it into Mercedes dealership in the Richmond Auto Mall, charged me $250 to tell me that the Balance Shaft needs to be replaced, a repair in the order of $5000. On looking into the problem on the Internet, it seems MB SLKs from 2006 and 2007 suffer this problem, the balance shaft breaking down at around 50-60,000 kilometers. I have read that the metal used was too soft for O.E. specifications and that a class action lawsuit was filed in Oct 2010 and dismissed by a New Jersey judge November 2, 2011. I dont understand how MB can get away with this.

I bought a 20k mile C Class Mercedes from a main dealer in Brighton. Within 2 months of ownership, the brakes and discs all needed replacing. Mercedes UK claimed the parts were consumables and are therefore not covered under the warranty even though the car only had done 20k miles. The dealership finally replaced the fronts after 5 months of complaining but has refused to replace the rear. I also had issues over the alleged mileage on the car and the claimed servicing on the vehicle. Mercedes UK behaves like a back street dealer and refused to help. Jeremy ** claimed that Mercedes had improved their after sales, I strongly disagree.

I have owned and leased multiple vehicles with Mercedes for years; one, which is under warranty, is the subject of this complaint. The moonroof opened, and never closed; because it is still under warranty, I took it to our nearest Mercedes dealership for repairs. This was in November of 2020. Now in March of 2021, my vehicle sits, abandoned and without repairs in the same dealership. I’m being informed there is no E.T.A. for the PRODUCTION of the required part that has failed on the moonroof mechanism. To make matters worse, they can’t even force the door shut so that the interior of my vehicle isn’t subjected to the elements, or for me to be able to drive it until the part arrives. We were given the customer service contact information for Mercedes Customer Service, and have come to find that they have absolutely no interest in aiding us in this issue. We were assigned to the Executive Referral Manager, Melicie. She took our information, informed us that she would be making a case file for us, and would attempt to find us options or some sort of resolution. Then, that was it; it’s been over two weeks and haven’t heard back from her; she will not return our phone calls, and when other representatives answer and make a friendly comment about “oh she’s in today”, after that they are unable to locate her or get her on the phone and “would we like her voicemail”. No I do not want her voicemail any more, I want my car back! I appreciate the loaner and I appreciate all that Star Motor has done for us, because they have their hands tied - but isn’t Customer Service here to Service the Customer? The loaner is not the sports SUV that I bought my wife, the car she loves but now is weary to have back because of the unavailability of parts. We continue to pay for this vehicle, we continue to pay for the full coverage insurance, we continue to wait. Is that what we’re supposed to do when we’ve been such faithful customers for so many years? Is this what thousands of dollars a month buys you? I would like a resolution, I would love a call back - I want the type of service I thought Mercedes was supposed to give their customers. Is it fair that this representative, Melicie, is laughing at us - or doesn’t want to deal with us, a Mercedes customer? Maybe an $84k car note to them is not a big deal or important, but this is years of hard work for myself and my wife.

I have two keys for my 2006 350. I have replaced the batteries over the years no problem with that at all. Recently, I went to replace the battery in set of keys but that didnt work for all the functions. I could lock my car but not open it... strange huh. So I went to my alternate set of keys, used them for a while and then that set didnt work either... weird. I could open my car doors but couldnt lock them. So I have been using 2 sets of keys to run my car. Doesnt make sense to me.So I contacted my Mercedes Dealership and explained the issue. They said, No problem. Come in and we will order you 2 new sets of keys. Sounds good so far... but not too fast. Each set would be $300. Mercedes wants me to pay $600 to replace Faulty keys. I didnt lose them... I just used them since I have had the car. Now they dont work properly. So I have to pay Mercedes $600 so I can operate my car and replace faulty keys. I have never heard that before. I could understand if I lost keys... but I didnt... they just stopped working correctly. So for being a good customer (repeat customer) I am now saddled with a $600 charge to replace faulty equipment. If I do that... which I must... there is no guaranty the new keys will last either. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of... COME ON MAN!! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Still arguing with #Mercedes about the mold building up and smell in the AC
Still arguing with #Mercedes about the mold building up and smell in the AC system on the 2016 GLC300. Had this issue since new! They will not stand behind their products even though there’s a class action lawsuit. Everything in the lawsuit says they have to pay for future repairs, yet every dealer refuses to do it. Any attempt of remediation results in being re-read the terms of the settlement, and then transferred all over the place until there’s no solution. I have two Mercedes I bought new: an E300 in 2017 and a GLC300 in 2016. These will be my LAST Mercedes cars. Their brand name and the premium costs you pay mean nothing as they do NOT support their customers or the products they make. I will be replacing my cars with Tesla or another luxury brand going forward. Keep losing customers MB!
