Product Reviews:
Of 4 Lexus autos I've owned this is my first nightmare. I've talked with dealership in Torrance, CA for over 5 hours and 9 people later; Lexus just no longer cares about their customers. They have lost being #1 in true service. We ordered this nice new RX 350 (build online) and after 60 days kept asking the dealer if he could locate sooner than a 6 month wait. Finally our salesman at Henessey reached out and said he had one but no factory tow package (jet skis). He said one could be added by them after the purchase. Many, many, many conversations later - IT CANNOT be added! Lexus changed the wiring harness in the 2016 RX 350. My dealer should have known this!!! We are really pissed off in the dealership as well as Torrance but apologize and neither will work a trade since we have titled it, without us coming $4500 out of pocket!! This will be the last Lexus for me, we have learned (burned) our lesson. People are now whispering aftermarket but Lexus has the wiring fix, just won't step up and assign it a part number and make it available for consumers to purchase. Instead anyone wanting their "tow package" in their desired color and interior trim package better be prepared to wait because LEXUS NO LONGER CARES!! The worse 50K purchase I've ever made!Kevin of Gainesville, GA

I have issues with my Hybrid 250 that I just bought used, while coming back from the dealer, left front tire burst. We changed and put up the spare wheel, within 5 minutes even that one burst. We called 2 dealers and they said that the original tires that come with Lexus are really bad (Toyo tires) and my car has only 23000 miles. They are not covered by any warranty and no wonder as their quality is horrible. I have been emailing and someone is suppose to contact within 24 hours. Well no one has contacted. My car is in the drive way as I don't know if they are going to reimburse the money or not. I called and have been told that I will receive a call from the supervisor but have not yet. I called again today and supervisor is not available. It is a luxury car and this kind of service is not expected. Thank you.Maulika of Swedesboro, NJ

Lexus has sedans, SUVs and also little sportsters. I bought a sedan specifically the Lexus ES. It's the perfect size sedan and it's the cheapest of their sedans, but it was not cheap at all. Tax tags and out the door at $45,000. I love it though. Everything in the dash is touch or talk controlled. There were a lot of expensive packages I could have added to my car such as rims, speakers, stereo, leather, etc. but I kept it modest because I wanted to get out under $50,000. The back can fit 3 people, the front can fit 2, so five people total. Even 3 adults can fit comfortably across the back seat and probably can fit 2 car seats.Jane of Toms River, NJ

Lexus has many models. Mid-size to luxury to SUV. They also have fuel-efficient & eco-friendly cars. I have a ES 250 2009. I use it for work and travel daily. Standard features - a/c, electronic windows and seat warmers. I have a mid-size that is very room and fits 5 adults. You can get a full size SUV for more room. There are also many options to upgrade. For example: satellite, eco-friendly, customized leather seats.Jessica of San Jose, CA

I bought my Lexus at Butler South Atlanta. On the very first day, July 3rd 2017, that I received my new Lexus, there a major problem by the time it was driven 152 miles (very first day of having my car). The car went into limp mode, not being able to exceed 25MPH. This was alarming to me since this was suppose to be a new car. I was shocked to know a check engine light came on and the car would not go past 25 MPH. When it was taken into the dealership, the mechanic cleared the codes and said it was suppose to be fine. A few days later, I noticed a very loud knocking sound (Clack, Clack, Clack) coming from the engine. It sounded terrible, much like an old truck that has several hundred thousand miles on it. The sound even began growing in intensity. When I took it to the dealership (2nd visit in less than 15 days), I was told by the service advisor that this was normal. I was shocked to hear this diagnostic. I left but each day the sound kept growing louder. Eventually, I took it back. 2 weeks later (3rd visit in about 30 days), this time I requested that someone else looked at the car so a supervisor came out. He immediately said that the car needed to be taken in. I was very frustrated since I had not been able to enjoy my 'new' car which is suppose to be a reliable brand. At the dealership, the engine of the car was stripped to get to the problem. After 9 days of having my car at Lexus, I was told that the work was completed. I was informed that there was damage to the cylinders and a block assembly was replaced. The cost of this repair was more than $10,000. Here was a 'new' car with less than 700 miles with damage to it costing more than $10,000. This repair, however, was covered under the existing warranty. When I contacted Lexus customer satisfaction about the issue, I was told that there was nothing they could do since they already honored the warranty by repairing the car. The case manager, Amie, was hostile to me, and further offered no solution or attempt to please a dissatisfied customer. I requested to speak to her supervisor who called me two days later and demonstrated a poor ability to listen, always demanding that he be listened to. I am shocked that Lexus employs people for customer satisfaction who treat customers in such a pejorative manner. These people are giving Lexus and Peggy Turner a poor brand image. The supervisor, Mike, told me all they could do is offer me a two-time credit for services. Really? A new car with problems from the very first day of ownership and which has caused me much distress and frustration. From the moment I saw the $10,000 cost of repair for this new car, I was immediately troubled and wanted a mutually agreeable solution. To date, Lexus has refused to offer me a reasonable solution for a Lemon car that I bought. On July 3 when I got my car, I was planning an out of town trip with my family for July 4th but the trip was cancelled because of problem with the lemon RX350. This experience especially having to deal with a non-customer satisfaction office, has left me with nothing but a nightmare and a car that I don't know what is the next problem that will occur. I'll post pics of the car and the $10,000 plus bill to social media to sensitize people so they can make a determination whether they really want to purchase a car from a brand that is insensitive to customer needs. PS. Two weeks ago I sent an email to the GM at the dealership from where I bought the Lexus and he refused to display the common courtesy of giving me a response.Mike of Hollywood, FL

I have a 2008 ES 350 with 111,000 miles. (Mostly highway.) I left my house and drove about 8 miles on the highway. Suddenly every warning light came on all at once. I quickly got to an exit ramp when the engine just stopped. It was towed to the dealer where they told me the water pump had failed and the engine burned up. Again, there were no warning lights until right before the engine seized. Repairs were estimated at 7500 dollars for a used engine that was not even a Lexus engine. Dealer offered me $3000 for the car or $3700 if I traded it in for another Lexus. Needless to say, I do not want another Lexus.Marci of Baltimore, MD

Exploding glass moonroofs. If you are investigating the purchase of a Lexus with a glass moonroof...beware. They have a tendency to explode for no reason. I was on a desert highway with no vehicles in front of me and all of a sudden my sunroof/moonroof exploded. It sounded like a gun going off over my head and it nearly caused me to wreck it had shocked me so much. I did a little research and apparently this issue is an ongoing one with many other drivers reporting the exact circumstance. The Lexus corporate folks are very, very rude about this and will not help you or offer to pay for what is obviously a manufacturer defect.Very sad to see they will not stand by their product. I will be seeking legal remedy but in the meanwhile, if you must buy a Lexus, stay away from the cars with the glass moonroofs. You could be driving and not only have a sudden shock that can scare the life out of you but if your interior moonroof shade is also open at the same time, you could get badly injured by the falling broken glass shards. Very dangerous.Thomas of San Diego, CA

I love Lexus' line of models, mainly the cars but would really like to see a sportier van or SUV option for us moms on the go, maybe have some options for electronic device storage for all the passengers. I would love to see a wine bottle storage compartment added in as an option when us adults want to go on a night camping trip too. Keep the luxury, keep the excellent quality but amp up the capacity and horsepower. The sleek lines on the exterior set it apart, but what I love most is how the inside fits so well. The features are very high end and the designers and developers obviously put a lot of work into how convenient everything would be to reach. The auto locking of the doors that can be customized by the driver is an amazing feature too, it keeps my children from trying to unlock or open the doors. I can set how long the interior lights stay on, change my exterior signal flash, the brightness of my dash lights, among many other amazing features. The passenger capacity is huge, luxurious and keeps the kids from annoying each other.Michelle of Fort Worth, TX

This Lexus 350 ES is very comfortable, roomy, smooth & quiet ride. Also good looking, feels heavy on the road, great services. Had to get the ES since RX too high for me - not comfortable on my back. Convenient dealer for service and free, unlimited car washes!!! 5th Lexus purchased - some different models RX & ES, great service all over the world and especially from this dealer. I love the ease of a loaner when they are doing work on my car. But I would like a tighter turning radius for the car and to have the ES in a hatchback type of rear for larger packages, luggage, etc. Better gas mileage, cheaper price in purchase and service too.Marice of Wynnewood, PA
