Product Reviews:

I bought my brand new 2012 Lexus RX 350 in 2011 and luckily I bought platinum service with it. In 2016, when I feel the pulsation in my ride, I brought my car in for a checkup. The salesperson Mitchell ** told me a bunch of issues with my car and told me that I need to pay for the extra services with came up to be roughly $1,500. That's ridiculous when I have the platinum warranty. I told him to look at my coverage and only do the work that are covered. He then told me that I need to pay the $148.71 fee since they had the technician "assessed" my car. That was absurd since I already told them the issue and the technician jumped into the car and took a ride and agreed with that but I have to pay for his fee?I was like whatever, if I pay that fee then they will fix my issues. After I paid the fee, Mitchell then told me that he had to call Lexus warranty service to check on the coverage and it will take a couple of days. He says those parts will be cover but he still needs to get a confirmation with Lexus warranty. So I unhappily left the service center and totally forgot about it. When I remember about the issue after I got the oil change, I went home and pulled out the contract that I first bought the warranty and surprisingly. It's listed in black and white that the rear shocks and ball joints are covered. So I showed it to the new salesperson and he's happily helping me with that. Only to replace the leaking rear shock. But not the ball joints since they are now in perfect condition because I got new tires. How is it that when I first brought in my car, those were the issues that you made me pay and now since it's covered under the warranty, they are fine now? It's the same old ball joints. Time does not fix mechanism issues on automobiles without replacement.

My engine was strangely replaced by Lexus for an unknown reason. When I called and asked why they would not give me an answer, it's only warranty from nine years to the day the car was made. When I brought the car broke down from a misfire. They told me it was carbon buildup on the engine. Three years after, I had a letter in the mail stating if my car misfired they would replace the engine up to nine years from the day the car was made by the factory so I got a new engine. I called Lexus, the corporation and they would not tell me why these cars needed a new engine. The engine warranty on it was only one year on the new engine...I would have like to known why such a major engine problem and the car was never recalled. Also another problem was the power steering locked up while driving. If I had been on a highway doing 70 that would have been quite scary I would think. Sounds like another recall should have been made there. I have read many complaints for that problem.... And lastly my melting door panels, what a mess! Started pretty much early on looks terrible ... I had dashboard fixed cause Lexus ruined it when installing a new radio. Good thing cause if it were like the door panels it would be a disaster.

The gas mileage is about 19.5 around town & about 21.5 long distance. I love the comfortable ride & for a 6 cylinder it has GREAT pick up. I used to have a Cadillac & the car is extremely comfortable and comparable to the Cadillac. The only regret I have is the trunk isn't as big as I was used to. I get a lot of compliments on my nice-looking car. All in all I love my Lexus ES350!

Purchased my brand new 2010 Lexus RX350 in Jan 2010. Babied it since day 1 of purchase, 26,600 miles to date. Not driven to shores, not flooded, minimal drive in winter, hosed under chassis w/ fresh water. WHY TOTAL RUST UNDER CHASSIS??

This is a great car with great qualities and it gives a great performance with many compliments to the inner side of the car. The inside is comfortable with a nice leather and design overall. There is also a great passenger capacity. It can fit mostly everything and give everyone enough room to have good comfort. I like this car a lot. The build and design are amazing and it is good on gas. There are not many personalization problems and it has great stock options.

I have a 2008 ES 350 with 111,000 miles. (Mostly highway.) I left my house and drove about 8 miles on the highway. Suddenly every warning light came on all at once. I quickly got to an exit ramp when the engine just stopped. It was towed to the dealer where they told me the water pump had failed and the engine burned up. Again, there were no warning lights until right before the engine seized. Repairs were estimated at 7500 dollars for a used engine that was not even a Lexus engine. Dealer offered me $3000 for the car or $3700 if I traded it in for another Lexus. Needless to say, I do not want another Lexus.

I really like the Lexus GS. It's a looker and has a sporting style, security and a cool 12.3 inch multimedia display. Also, full screen navigation. Love the surround sound. Sport look for anyone that like race car. Very stylish and enough room to enjoy. You can fit 4 comfortable. Your passengers will ride In luxury and in style. Trim in leather. Car has anything. Not much more you can upgrade, but I would like a sunroof.

I am very disappointed with this so called luxury brand. I have received 3 different recall letters for parts in my IS250. I had to wait over a year for a dashboard and the Lexus reps seem not to have any idea when I be able to replace my door panels. NOW I have to wait for a new a year for an airbag on top of that, thanks Lexus for keeping me safe. I contacted the corporate office and was told that I shouldn't allow people to ride in the front seat of my car, and in the same sentence was told that I may not receive any other notification until the end of the year first on 2017!!! How can such a well known "luxury brand" be so careless with customers. On top of the that the 3rd rep I spoke to tried to sell me a new model!! First rep hung up on me, 2nd rep stayed silent on the phone like we were high school teenagers, and the 3rd rep tried to sell me a car. I will never purchase or recommend this shady brand to anyone! Having this car has been nothing but a nightmare. I've also had the same error message come on and the service people have NO CLUE what's causing it, but continue to take my money for diagnoses! When I go in for scheduled service there are never loaner cars, and there have been times where I have been misquoted for services and had to pay more. I am not sure what to do at this point, Lexus has the same problem. Not a Lexus fan any longer. I guess I should start driving Uber since I can only have people in the back seat.

2007 Lexus RX350 - I had to replace rack and pinion steering column due to a leak at 74k miles. I had to replace 2 coils in 2 of the cylinders, one at 62K and 77K miles. In a year, I have had to put over $2,200 in this supposedly reliable car. The car has lots of road noise. I was thinking it was the tires, but recently drove a 2013 loaner with new tires and the road noise is as bad as in my 2007. I'm questioning whether or not it is really the tires at all. I looked at 3 Toyota SUVs and they all had awful road noise and thought that stepping up would be different. I can't wait to get rid of this car and will never get a Toyota or Lexus again. I do not know how this car gets the number 1 luxury mid-SUV ratings.

I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreen's parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didn't work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.
