Product Reviews:
I bought Lexus LX. I'm having problem with the radio. The sound going up and down. I ask the dealership have they had problem with this. They said yes. It is the amplifier. I would have to place it. I did some checking on the web. It is going bad because where they put the amplifier under the driver seat it is getting too hot so it goes bad. They not trying to figure out what the problem is and to solve the problem. I had a lot of cars. Never had problems with the radio. If I spend the money to replace the amplifier it most likely go bad again. This is not right.Linda of Prattville, AL

Well-built. Quality workmanship. My Lexus GS 430 is a 2001 model. Never had a mechanical issue. Just recently changed shocks and a few other minor issues. Not bad for a 16 year old automobile. Still handles well. Paint is still great with no blemishes or paint fade. Although I take really good care of it, it takes great care of me and my family. Quiet as a kitten. Goes when needed. Powerful 300hp V8 still has oomph! Driver's seat looks a little worn. But passenger seats look new.Vinod of Sacramento, CA

I was driving home from work on Friday, April 25, 2014. I live 52 miles from work. My 2007 Lexus RX 350 drove fine without any "low engine oil warning" lights showing on the dashboard. At about 45 miles the engine just started sounding loud and stopped. My engine had not a drop of oil in it. I towed it 200 miles to the last Lexus dealer that had serviced it 2 months before, only to find out that my engine was blown and now they want $11,000.00 to put an 85,000 mile engine in it. Bought a 2008 Sewell RX350 in 2010; thought I was buying a luxury SUV, not so. First problem: Melted rubber handle on back door. Went to a Houston Lexus dealership and was told $500 to fix, couldn't just replace rubber cover, had to replace whole unit. Second problem: Chrome finish on both rear wheels is peeling - another defect. Third problem: Had to replace water pump +$1000 bill. All this on a garaged 2008 RX 350 with less than 80k miles! I'm a previous owner of a 2000 Ford Explorer and 2004 Nissan Pathfinder (both kept for 10 yrs 100k miles) - no problems with either one. Last Lexus for me! Now (7/2017) an oil leak. Now (1/2018) the dashboard is starting to crack. Called Lexus to get repaired under enhanced warranty program, I was told since the SUV was bought in 2007 that the 10 warranty does not apply. NEVER RECEIVED LETTER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LEXUS OR TOYOTA!!Cindy of Houston, TX

Toyota makes models of cars range at different prices. You have Corolla, Avalon, land cruisers, Tacoma, 4Runners, Tercels, Camry, Prius, and Lexus. Features include power steering wheel, nice upholstery, air-condition, windshield wipers, gas saving, spacious, economical car, and smooth driving, sensory or computerized features that the newer model of cars come with.Always keeping up with the oil changes, if I need to take the car to get maintenance. I will take it to the dealership and have the mechanics looked at it. It's spacious and relaxing experience if I'm going grocery shopping, picking up the kids at school, going to and from work; or going to doctors appointments. It's the luxury car I liked.Sammy of El Paso, TX

Lexus offers a range of options from family cars to sports cars, fuel efficiency and power. Some models offer space and comfortability while others offer a sporty look and speed. The sleek model of the exterior provides a stylish look. The leather seats and interior accents provide a luxurious look and feel. The outside lights have a futuristic appeal. The navigation upgrades come with the latest software and maps. The bluetooth technology makes it easy to use my cell phone hands free. The option for Onstar gives me a sense of dependability. The car is large enough to transport my family when my step kids and nephew visit. I can seat my kids including a car seat comfortably. This is the car we use for family trips.Tracy of Columbia, SC

These comments are to reinforce other postings about the inflated reputation of Lexus vehicles for reliability. We currently own a RX 330 and IS 350. The RX had a transmission seal fail at 70,000 miles and the water pump on the IS 350 failed after 34,000 miles. Both vehicles were out of warranty when these failures occurred, but given the low mileage, I contacted Lexus Service to request help covering the cost of repairs. They politely declined. I am writing this to warn any prospective luxury car buyers that in my experience the Lexus reputation for reliability is not justified. The additional premium we pay for their vehicles compared to other regular brands is not warranted. I will never buy another Lexus again.Nigel of Portland, OR

I leased a new 2014 Lexus IS 250 in July of this year. On December 2, I was driving in a Walgreen's parking lot at less than 5 mph, when I turned the wheel to enter a parking space. The car accelerated, the brake didn't work and the car jumped into a planted median full of bushes, trees, and narrowly missed a phone pole by less than 1/2 foot. Only the mud in the median stopped the car. Naturally, I called Lexus and a tow truck was sent. Since that time, the Lexus dealership, JM Lexus, has had that car, inspecting it until December 10, when they called stating that there is nothing wrong with the car and that I should come and pick it up. Absolutely no information was given to me about test results, incorrect information was given to me about anticipated contact dates by Lexus corporate, and even management at the dealership appears to want to avoid any further discussions. In my conversations with Lexus corporate, they have provided minimal information and said the issue has been turned over to legal. In the meantime, I am driving a car that I am petrified to drive. It appears that it will take a product liability lawyer to intervene on my behalf.Henry of Fort Lauderdale, FL

Lexus cars are very nice and useful vehicles that everyone should own. And very low maintenance and I think everyone would love to have such a nice brand. It's very competitive. I can't get over how nice my vehicle looks. I think anyone would say the same thing if they were to see it is a nice ride. My upgrades includes new speakers and infotainment system including new touch screens and I have new rims, new seat covers and even a new headline. Plus my vehicle can carry your whole family and plenty of luggage. Anyone will be surprised at its amazing ability to carry tons of stuff including the whole family on long trips.Tank of Wilmington, NC

I wanted a certain blue color but there were not many choices. I would've gotten a different car that came in the color I wanted but my husband insisted on getting a Lexus. When I got it, it was shiny and looked as new as any car I've ever seen. On the inside I had no problems as it was clean and well kept. My husband says there weren't many options for customization or upgrades. He also said that we wouldn't need it anyways because the car is perfect as it is. I only needed 3 seats but there is more room than that so we can put other things in the seats when we aren't using them and if we do need the extra seating for whatever reason, we can put the other stuff in the trunk.Roxy of Holland, MI
